Odor, Carpenter have big hits as struggling Padres beat Red Sox 7-0
"Root need odor went two for four with four RBIs leading the San Diego Padres to a 7 and nothing victory over the Boston Red Sox snapping a four game losing streak. Odors base clearing double capped off a four run first inning for San Diego off Boston starter Corey Kluber. I mean, great. I mean, especially after we drive those three runs in, you know, we need it and I was just trying to look for something up in the sound and try to stay on a big part of the field and then this guy did it. Michael walker through 6 shutout innings holding the Red Sox to just 5 hits to improve to 5 and one on the season. Cooper lasted just two and a third innings for the Red Sox who saw their four game winning streak come to an end. Philip gon San Diego

"Of this month, and then hopefully a few days after that, he'll come join us. So based on what you know right now, what is the timetable for his return? Best case is he would be back late in the season, but we're really going to know a lot after the 21st. When they know specifically what they have to do in there, if it's just the scope, then there's the potential he could be back late in the year. I'm going to be asking Cole rabbit about his level of concern about that injury and about this injury. Steven Strasburg, Washington Nationals right hander did not report with other pitchers to spring training on Wednesday after recent setback and his comeback from a 2021 operation to correct thoracic outlet syndrome. I have strong feelings about whether or not this might be big picture, the sort of injury that can end a career. The Padres earlier this week signed Michael walker to a really interesting four year $24 million deal. This to me rounds out what I think is the weakest part of the Padres team, the depth and their rotation. I think I'm going to pick them to win the national league west. I'm going to be talking with Paul on bikinis about that. Some voices from spring training. Here's Matt Scherzer talking about being part of a strong rotation that now includes Justin Verlander. "9 appearances in the last two years, something like that. Where are you going with this? If you're going to ask that guy to go out and throw 5, 6 innings, every 5 days. If you're going to ask him to throw a hundred innings a 150 innings, he just may not be able to do that at this stage in his career with how I heard he's been. And if you're going to say, well, in modern baseball, they're not asking him to start 5 or 6. They're asking him to start three or four. Great. Then put him in the bullpen and have him throw three or four in that bridge roll that's so valuable on games. You know you have a shot to win because let's say he gives you three or four good innings. Who are you going to after that? Who's giving you the back 5 innings of that game? Nobody reliable. I would rather know I'm using Chris sale and high leverage situations. So if the plan is to pitch and 5 or 6 innings per start, you're going to get them for about a month, he's going to go back on the IL. It's not worth it. If the plan is to pitch him for three or four innings per start, will those three or four innings are a lot more valuable out of the bullpen than they are early in the game. So here's my answer to that. I think a lot of this is going to hinge on how fast Chris sale warms up. And if he is hot quickly, then you use them like you suggest in the bullpen. If it takes him a wild warm up, I don't think you want to put Alex gore in that position where you're forced to use him at the start of an inning. And I think that's really going to determine how the Red Sox and Alex Cora use Chris sale. And they want to find this out sooner rather than later, because I'm sure Alex, they do want to leave open the possibility that you're suggesting. And I also don't think the Red Sox feel the pressure that they did at the start of the year, or maybe even in spring training, because I think their rotations pretty dug on solid right now. Garrett whitlocks also on the 15 day injured list. But when you take a look at rickshaw 6 and 5, three 50 ERA. And I don't have his whip right offhand, but Michael walk a four in one two 33. He's been the ace of the staff and then Rick hill two and three, four 38 in 11 starts. So between pavetta of Aldi who had 12 starts, Michael walker's ten starts and Rick shills 11 starts. You've had a lot of consistency in that rotation that, frankly, I didn't expect coming into the season. Yeah, the whips for three of the three of those four are under 1.1. So they've been even more reason they've been good. Why are you dinking with it? Who is and I know again, I know guys are hurt right now and I'll say it again. Chris sale is going to start his first one or two appearances and.

I want to talk about the starting pitching and what has impressed you about the starting pitching of late Nathan Navalny coming up absolutely huge the other night on Wednesday night in another one nothing red's Red Sox win over the angels. There are second one nothing victory in three nights over the angels. What has stood out to you about their starting pitching? Oh, it's got to be Michael waka and Navalny was good the other night, certainly, but Michael walker throwing that complete game shut out. He's got his ERA down under two now. To see him kind of throw it back like this. If you want to go back to what we started the show with write the Celtics and Red Sox comparisons, it's Al Horford ish. He hasn't he hasn't had a season. His all star season was in 2015. When he was 23 years old, he's now 30. 7 years later, and he's having the best seasons. That guys don't normally have like 6 bump seasons and then come bounce, come back and bounce back like the way he has. So I think to get the boost from him, they'd be in a real scary place. If he wasn't given them what he's giving them, you know, Nathan of Aldi, I think, has been good at times, but he's been kind of in and out. Garrett whitlock experiment. Which is something I campaigned for has been hit and miss. Tater house, spinning out of the rotation, all of that. It really feels like Michael walk has been their constant. But anybody, I don't even know if hanging bloom had that coming into the season, but it's been a massive list. It's only 30, Alex. He's 30 years old. This is not a fail. Well, I shouldn't say that. This isn't Rick hill is what I meant. This is not rich hill. This isn't somebody on the back end of his career. He's in what's supposed to be the prime of his career. Like yes, but what I would push back on that a little bit and I don't entirely disagree, but with pitchers, I almost look at it more in years and innings than I do in age because it's wear and tear on the arm. That's ultimately what it is, right? Right. He's thrown he's been pitching since 2013 regularly in the majors outside of 2020, which was like the.

Authorities arrested a 28 year old woman on charges including manslaughter after her two year old son shot and killed his father with a gun that hadn't been properly stored. According to the Orange County sheriff's office, Marie Ayala. Not good. Told deputies that her husband, 26 year old Reggie mabry, was playing video games on May 26th in a room with their three young children when she heard a loud pop. She found her husband with a gunshot wound, disarmed the gun, began chest compressions, according to the news station, and when you have chest compressions and you've been shot in the chest, it tends to force the blood out of the hole. You would think. That hasn't she ever shot anyone before. When the deputies arrived, they found a yellow performing CPR on mabry and he was taken to a hospital where he died of his injuries. Investigators initially believed the shooting might have been a suicide. However, a minor sheriff said the couple's 5 year old son told authorities that his two year old brother shot their father. What 5 year old would point the finger at a two year old, so he did it. Every one of the very clever 5 years old. That's right. It's like blame it on the two year old. No one's going to be any Bobby. Could just be mad at mommy and daddy. Even better, the mother shoots him and says to the 5 year old, tell him the truth. Tommy did it. Whatever is he right? And Tommy said that. And he's.

"Like the warriors are just building a wall packing in the paint when Jayson Tatum and jaylen Brown put the ball on the court and tried to drive to the hoop. And they got to reestablish that spacing that they had in game one. The big reason why that fourth quarter why they went off in game one is because they were driving kicking right there penetrating and then they were leaving Al Horford and smart and Derek white wide open for these three pointers. They got to get back to playing that type of basketball and I think that maybe they have a pretty good chance in this series, but look, if Andrew Wiggins and Otto Porter and Jordan Poole beat you, then I think, you know, so you got to take your chances there. You just got to take your chances. I think the Celtics are as in good a shape as you could possibly be in an NBA Finals. It's not going to be easy. You don't get to this round and have it be a cake walk. So we'll see what ends up happening with Boston big game tomorrow night. That's kind of the series, right? The winner of a game three to one one series. More times than not, I'm sure the math tells you that the winner of game three in that situation ends up going on to win the series with a vast majority of the time. So big game tomorrow night for the Celtics, the Red Sox are still on the West Coast, right? They're still an angels. They're back to 500 now. They're kind of moving a little bit. Michael walker throwing a complete game, one run last night. You know, Sarah, you all about high and blue and we found Michael waka. That's a check in his box. That's a positive in his box. Yeah, so it is what the a's and the angels back to back or two of the worst teams in baseball right now, right? I think the angels have lost like 12 in a row. The angels were good and then they right, they're on they're on a 12 game loser. They just fired their manager. Today, by the way, the modern king of analytics, Joe Maddon, not cutting it. I wonder why that is. Has the two best players in baseball still can't win..

"Alex, you mentioned before the break about what the Red Sox need to do to get going. And their slow start to the year. They are ten and 14 as we record this. And they have the Los Angeles angels in town. And on Tuesday night, they snapped out of their mini slump to losing the two of the three to the Baltimore Orioles and actually losing three 6 of 9 on the most recent road trip. The highlight on Tuesday night without question was Michael wacha. And when you take a look at Michael walker's numbers through the first part of the season first month of the season, he's been nothing short of sensational three. 1.38 ERA in 26 innings. He has struck out 19. This number surprises me. It's high for walks 11. But still, his whip is below one, which for a starting picture is outstanding. Zero point 9 two three. The storyline on Tuesday night was not that Michael walker started and was impressive. It's when he left the game. He was pulled through, pulled after 5 and two thirds innings. Had allowed only two hits, obviously no runs. And only 66 zero pictures on the night, but Alex Cora saw him in the 6th inning, come up and coming up to the plate with Shohei Ohtani, the superstar slugger. Mister everything for the angels, of course. And Alex Cora didn't want him to face him again, so he pulled him out of the game in a two zero game. Chorus said, after the game, that maybe if we had a bigger lead, maybe if we had some room with the maneuver with, he stays in the game and maybe he does go 7 innings. Maybe he even gets into the 8th. What do you think? It's.

Podcast. Are you with us? Yeah. Okay. You could move over to your right just to see, I get because there's this. I don't have like a perfect way to balance everything here. Way to prep for this podcast, I appreciate it, Alex. You come through for us all the time, you're awesome. All right, let's spend some time as we wrap it up on the Tampa Bay Rays and the things that the Red Sox is going to have to do. First of all, they're starting pitching is going to have to control the top 5 batters in their order which figure to be. Randy, rosarina, playing left field, wander Franco, the super sensation rookie that was brought up in mid season and he hasn't disappointed. He's their shortstop. DH Nelson Cruz, who has experience up the wazoo. This will not be in a bigger than life situation for him batting third. Batting fourth cleanup is third baseman yandy Diaz and batting 5th, second baseman likely to be batting 5th Brandon Lau with a lot of pop. He had three homers in a game I believe recently against the New York Yankees a blowout win as the Tampa Bay Rays clinched a hundred win season in the best record in the American League. That's one thing. And the other thing is their rotation. The Red Sox are going to face Shane mcclanahan in game number one. And he it seems like we say this every year, Alex barth, about Tampa Bay pictures. He had a breakout year as a young picture in the ray's rotation. He's a left hander he had a ten and 6 record this past year, 3.43 ERA. He starts game one a little more than a year after he became the first picture in MLB history to debut. Make his debut in the postseason. He posted a 3.01 ERA with 99 strikeouts over the last three months of the season. And, you know, he is a guy that is really, I think in a try and give Tampa Bay a boost right out of the gate. Yeah, I mean, I think they've got a bank on him because without glass now. And we talked about this a while ago, like, I thought Tampa was out of it without glass now, because I wasn't a huge fan of their pitching rotation now. Mcclanahan's come on and sometimes it's hard to project with rookies right and he's obviously been that guy. So he checks a box, but Ryan Yarborough struggled Michael walker's struggle. So if you can, if you're the Red Sox, and this is obviously easier said than done. If you can take a game started by mcclanahan, you really put the raisin corner. It's not impossible for the Red Sox to win it if they lose game one. But it kind of becomes tough for the race to win it, right? If they lose it because then they're pitching potentially against totally blown up. So mcclanahan is a pivotal player in this series. I don't have a splits in front of the Red Sox when it pulls up right now because I'm actually curious, but I think this first game is going to tell us a lot..

"That was three plus of the most intense hours you'll ever experience. The Yankees should have probably lost it in the third and the fourth and definitely the 8th, they didn't get a runner two second, not past second, two second until Tyler wade in the 9. Thomas Karin, did did you think they were losing? And at what point did you think they were the closest to losing? Yeah, I thought I thought they were going to cough it up in the middle innings, but the wandy Peralta inning really was just so I was just like, great, okay. This is it and now they're going to have to come from behind and it's not going to happen. So we never do that. No raise. Against everybody else we actually do. It's weird, but not against the race. Yeah, I mean, heading into this when I wasn't entirely optimistic because for some reason, Michael walker and his 5 ERA just we can't hit him. I don't know what it is. I don't know if it's his pitch mix that fools these hitters. I don't know if it's a superior scouting report that the race have on the Yankees that he's able to navigate successfully and get through these guys. But the man, the man throws 56 pitches through 5 innings and you're just like, what? No runs one hit one walk. I don't get it. I don't get it. We have an assortment of all stars. Once again, in a must win game and nobody's doing anything. Completely silent once again embarrassing. But hey, you got to give props to where they're due. Jameson tion, injured ankle, three and a third inning. No one runs, did exactly what he was asked to do. Awesome. Aaron Boone, mostly manage this thing successfully, I'd say. I think the only thing people were kind of upset about was the clay Holmes Chad green switch. But he managed it like a playoff game. He used 6 pitchers went to low wise exactly when he needed to. Save the 9th for Chapman and ended up working out because we got the run in the bottom of the 9th and shut the door. I think the extra innings get a lot uglier. And I don't think I'm alone there, at least I hope I'm not alone there because that would mean that you're not really watching Yankees baseball this year. But yeah, I thought we were you've seen enough games like this like this in 2021 when they're not scoring when you simulate innings one through 5 and you're like, okay, just like take me to the 7 and let me know what the score is then. And it's zero zero or like it's one zero the opponent. And the onus is on the Yankees to score a run. Or vice versa, maybe the Yankees are up one, nothing in the 7th and the onus is on the Yankees to hold a very tight lead with a bullpen that hasn't entirely been its characteristic self for the entire year. So yeah, this was tailor made Yankees. This was TaylorMade Yankees loss, which is why everybody was on the edge of their seat. But I also got to give props to Yankee Stadium, man. I was watching that game on TV and they were into it every pitch. Let's go Yankees chance the entire time. Regardless of the situation, everybody on their feet. And that's the kind of energy you need in The Bronx..

So it's happened but like it got down to like twenty two degrees or something. I think they're playing as they're gonna play law as long as it's dry. I i would imagine that you know for some reason. If there was a wind chill of minus fifteen or something like that cooler heads would prevail and they would say the players and said. We're not playing in this. I mean it's the luck of this so you're supposed to have jacob degrom pitch. Yesterday gets rained out. And then you're like okay. Whole start the first game of this series but it's twenty degrees. I don't know if it's that cold be stardom why not. I don't know just let them go out there and throw six innings of one hundred mile an hour fastballs. Nobody's going to wanna hit it. They won't all. Could you imagine this thing in the in the fingertips like actually can't oof but may thro no hitter. But there's no reason to think that it could hurt him pitching in the cold like that code could you. But i'm sure that when he goes to the bench she'll probably go into the clubhouse or if they have heaters on the bench i would imagine. Yeah he'd also we wearing his jacket and maybe he would put a hydroxy relation pat around us elbow to keep it warm with all the stuff that they are protecting these players. I'm sure it'd be all right and he's gonna wanna pitch you know that guy's an animal. He's an animal. He's gonna wanna pitch. Maybe it will like to challenge. I don't know. But i just i just anytime you think about jacob degrom and protecting him i always want to take the the most cautious route. Possible he's older and he's been through it and it's like his career started later and this is why i still think at his age. He's able to hit one on one and one zero two on the gun So he doesn't have the wear and tear on his arm that some of these other guys have yet and if they cancel another game or postpone another game like tonight gets postponed this. What a bizarre. Start to the season for the mets. Just crazy do we have any idea who starting for the yankees tonight. No bullpen game. Think think it's the bullpen game. Well so you know they're going. It's michael walker. Yeah come on you gotta you gotta you know what lapping. Because it's a former met. He'll go out there and throw a one he nine you know he. He got hit pretty good last time. I'm just saying because we'll be watching though. Ramon castro hit the. How many wilson. Ronald ramon my god wilson ramos. A blast from the past wilson. Ronald have six home runs. We've seen jed lowrie be like the al mvp. What did you like for the yankees. Though saturday and sunday one o'clock starts and calls going on sunday sure sunday. One o'clock doesn't get much better than that. No it doesn't all right. I believe we're being joined at some point here by a special guests at the alice getting on the phone. We him on the phone or not. Because i don't want to get it. Don't want to get into something else if he is If he is still waiting for the breakfast you know i. I could have called oaken steiner out. There would have been already. Where are you going what it means right here. It's right it's an who delivered it. Well there you go. where's this from. I'm not sure there's a sandwich and sir what am. I is special orders. You know yes. When are you saying. Oh yes we that's what we order. What's at any. That's what was order. Who knows if they actually follow through. We'll say yeah. I don't know like a bagel. Oh here we go. What does this got. Sandwiches can egged angular containers and container out. You want it eddie. Want an egg in a container. I'm good thanks. This is this is fun. This is like kat look special guest on the phone ball. Look at this busy. What's that special guest. You see him up there..

"But you've got a couple of things going on tonight. You could have as he likes to call it a brouhaha. I don't think that will happen. But it could. Yankees raised tonight. Here was aaron. Boone with carton and roberts first of all stressing that his team was not throwing at the rays last week at the trump. I will say there's absolutely nothing intentional. And and we don't wanna go down that road at all mobile see what road or path they take tonight You got michael walker. Making the start for tampa for the yankees not sure it looks like a bullpen. Here was judge. Aaron judge this is just what it is with the raise sentence or high. You know we've kinda gone back and forth the race. We get hit. We give brushback they get rush back and then and then we lose and they lose. Yes that's basically you're right. They both need this series. The yankees are five and seven the razor five and eight on the year meantime. This was the video that marcus stroman posted. It was him and kevin pa- lar- polar okay Here was stroman. "Austin pats a good choice you one because there's all of them all right. Listen anti i gotta say bike because the manager of the yankees is on the line off. Moment y- you bug the ten year old job. That makes me feel bad. Go interesting timing on the car. I gotta wonder what aaron boone's thinking about when he calls him because when he used to do with mike and he knew it. You're going to get sure. I'm sure he enjoys this more. Because he can have some fun to you know like. I don't think mike fun with them. Now i know it's still talk and those guys are gonna as ask tough questions but at. I have a couple of laughs. Mike wasn't having any laughs. Welcome in the lineup into three hundred. Everything about moving hicks external website. They give them statements. And then aaron boone would try to answer and mike talk over 'em so probably wasn't enjoyable experience bram so there's probably a hell of a lot more fun. I question from craig yesterday. Was you're five and seven unacceptable. Certainly we would like to have a better record at this point. So there's you know anytime you know. We have high expectations. We show up to the yard every day hoping to win. But they have not Mellon craig's been yankee fan. That is right. Oh huge huge. Yankee fed big yankee fan. Here's aaron judge. Says he knows time to get going. We take a lot of pride in our crafts and what we do know showed up ready to play and so not ready to win. But they've only won five of twelve so far not sure who's going to start for the yankees. I did john and susan talking about the possibility of michael king. We'll see michael walker goes tampa coverage on sports radio sixty six. Wfan am the mets and phillies postponed. Thursday so tonight. You've got new york in colorado snowy colorado. At least it was when the mets landed last night and the forecast is for thirty six degrees. At first pitch jacob degrom taking on ci gonzales. The dodgers beat the rockies on thursday seven five justin turner three run homer and then. There's bauer gate if you will a report and we discussed this at length. We did bring this up the other day. A report indicates that the bauer was under investigation by major league. Baseball for baseball's used during his start against the as john heyman came on with moose and maggie yesterday wondering who the culprit is and how this whole thing started. It's interesting that bauer was fingered by somebody. He was also trying to figure out how to check. You mean like accused or figure the circle. Do you mean john. You said finger do you. I mean do. I do never mind right right here. He was with. Moose and maggie might Might have some issues. Give ken rosenthal. From the athletic credit did a great job. They're getting that story. That bowers balls were pulled in particular. They were looking at his john. You telling me that he was fingered any balls pulled or polls were cold. Cold all okay. Well anyway. walls were called. I think he said if hold balls were pulled because this is all about spin rate is balls were pulled so pulled from that gain. That's referencing yes. And creating more spin rate icy. That's the question. I guess because i thought don't they put the balls in colorado in the humidor so the balls aren't frozen cold now. I put the balls in the door. So they don't fly as far in the dry air and the altitude. He said he said old. Paul rosenthal from the athletic credit. I did a great job. They're getting that story. "Dude was was looked every bit of mvp in the playoffs he. He dominated the playoffs but the way that it ended towards the end with blake style. Game six apologize for for bringing back bad memories but it does seem like it was that has something to do with the way that the off season Kind of rolled out. Snell obviously traded to san diego the race bringing a what seems like a plethora of veteran pitchers to throw spaghetti on the wall almost or mixed see if we can get one last one. Let's go out of these guys which to be honest. I don't doubt because tampa has been able to do that with multiple people. So yeah curious your thoughts ending the season and just just what that what that taste was going into the offseason with snell being traded. That's look i. It's one of those things. Where since knell has been off the roster we i guess thankfully haven't really had to relive game six because the the media isn't asking questions about a looking back on game six hair you entering this season so on and so forth. So it's almost into the yankees. Yeah yeah there. We go so Look i think that after game. Six things had kind of been ramping up to that point of blake snail. And the raise kind of okay. It's probably time for us to go our separate ways even though he to pretty much twenty nine other mlb teams. He has a very team. Friendly deal laughed with three years. Thirty nine million dollars on that contract. The raise aren't like every or every other organization out there and they're just been things with you know the when they traded tommy fan. He expressed his disappointment with that game. Six he he added. Scott boris as agent. Lot of things going on with that and he also expressed disappointment very vividly about not being able to go deep into ball games. And that's been the raise. Mo of ladies. Hey we're going to have starters be five guys. We're going to bring in the bullpen sixth inning and and try to close this up place now former cy young award winner. He wants to be able go seven and eight. He wants to get his chance at a complete game. And maybe he'll get that opportunity in san diego. I don't know but yet talk about throwing spaghetti on a wall because they of course not just traded blake's now for i think four very good prospects and players. That will definitely help this team. In time over the next several years they also opted not to bring back charlie morton on an option and i look i. I know this is sort of heartless in a way. I would have picked up. His option then traded him to the braves or somebody else and try to get something in return. But i guess there was so much mutual respect from both sides that they opted. Like if if we're bringing you back we're bringing you back to keep you. We don't want to bring you back and then give you this impression. You're gonna be on the team and then trade you a week or two or two or month later whatever. It is so what they've essentially done. Is they've unloaded payroll off the starting rotation and in return for veteran guys who have question marks have a history of success. But you just don't know what you're going to get from those guys. Whether it's chris archer column mccue michael walker Rachel the list goes on. And on. And i guess the idea and the thinking along those lines of and they brought in all those four guys for a combined. Thirteen point eight million dollars. Which is less than what charlie morton would've made At fifteen miles so really. What they're thinking is These four guys if they can give a combined four hundred fifty innings. The most that charlie morton is going to give you may be one seventy five. So you're going from sixty to one sixty two. We just need guys that can give us any in any way possible. That's part of the other part of it is they have a really really good stable of prospects in the minor leagues. That are going to be knocking on the door in the next couple of months. Whether it's shane mcclanahan josh fleming. Who saw a lot of action. Joe ryan lewis. Pitino brennan mckay brent honeywell lot of guys there that are chomping at the bit so once those guys are fully stretched out and inevitably once ritual. Goes down with something or chris. Archer goes down with something then they can start to bring those guys up sometime along midseason late season and hopefully had the depth to get through one sixty two so that's kind of what their line of thinking. There is while at the same time trying to save a buck or two. Which is the the raise way so to speak. Yeah yeah so. That's that's exactly you know everybody's looking at tampa and saying well. They lost morton. they lost snell. This is clearly going to be the yankees division. this is and which. I don't disagree. I think it is the yankees division to lose at this point. But that being said tampa has has been able to turn these no name guys in their bullpen. Into you know the the quote horse the stable of horses and and they've they've been able to make a lot from very little or they'll identify a guy who's had injury history and for whatever reason make some tweaks change his. You know his situation within the team and gotten a lot out of him. They've they've been able to add a lot of value from from. I'd say little and that's i think that's one of the big strengths from from kevin cash and an organization. So when i see that snell is gone and that morton is gone. Yes it's a. It's a hit to the team. But i have no doubt that they're going to fill that piece with someone else and probably someone of never heard of and this guy's gonna come in and you know this guy or these guys and and do well. It's just they have a track record of doing this. And the fact that you know they got archer wocka hill mchugh like you mentioned. It's possible that one of them have a bit of a resurgence would not surprise me. If archer all of a sudden found you know a little bit more of a semblance of being a pitcher and had some success so is by no means take them take them for granted and and i think that they are going to be a very serious threat in the in the division so curious. Your thoughts on what your expectations are for the specifically with this new New rosser yeah. That that's a. That's a great question a great point and i go back to like last year. Who would have thought that ryan thompson. John curtis and erin sleepers would be a thing that they would have success. Nobody had really heard of these guys beforehand and then we see them and they have a media success and it's like well maybe the rays have found some something and i think that's what they're going to do again with guys like jeffrey springs and chris maza and a bunch of volk guys and the other thing. Too with that is I know that nick anderson that bad news about him. He's going to miss at least half the year with what he's dealing with elbow issues and the rays have to find a new defacto closer. Which i think you know between fairbanks and casteel. They should be able to do but they also have guys. That aren't getting talked about this year. That are have been contributed to the raise in the past and are expected for big roles in the bullpen. Cody raid for example andrew. Kitchen chaz roe. Those guys are finally healthy and ready to go. So that's going to be big for them. I think you know you look at the rotation wanted to five definitely isn't a top ten rotation anymore maybe not even a top fifteen rotation but i think the they have so many arms that can pitch in and fill in that. I think they'll find a way to get through. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if they've got like ten or guys by end of the year that have like eighty ninety one hundred indians between them. I think there's going to be a lot of guys that are going to be pitching a lot of innings in a lot of nixon. imagine from that standpoint. I think this is to be again for going from sixty to one. Sixty two While the rate on paper at least they're starting staff and maybe not even their their bullpen anymore. It doesn't look as elite as in last year. I think you know. Come to the dog days of summer. September august you get late in the season where i think teams are going to be hampered by injuries and ailments And it's going to be like a nfl season where it's just like..

Anyway. Yeah. Yeah dead. But see me as a kid. I didn't even get those things. Like I just all I saw when it came to the Little Rascals was a crook American kids and white kids all getting along. Yeah, and then I rode said I loved him. Had because he like, you know, because he because he was a a key of just stood up the Hal roach as a little kid. He was just a white we pray that the first thing he was in was in the old cap in for his back pension. I don't know. I can't see you named John Brown ask me again. I'll knock you down.
