"Light Michael Toscano, here review Tuesday morning as we're talking about the new announcement that thousand troops are going to be deployed to the Middle East, the because of increasing tensions with Iran and at the I guess, what really came to a head yesterday was Theron saying that it's going to probably be breaking compliance in the next ten days or so, with that, that multi national deal that has kept it from making nuclear weapons. And then Trump administration followed that by saying, well, we're sending another thousand more troops to the Middle East. The thing that Iran said is doing is they're going to start to enrich uranium to making just, you know, like a little bit away from weapons grade levels. And you know, that's breaking a limit on the uranium stockpiles that was established by that twenty fifteen agreement. And so the president is responding with the troops and the president now actually finding himself in kind of an. Awkward position. He's demanding that Iran comply with that nuclear deal that he pulled the US out of and, and where he said, it was a bad deal and he pulled the US out now. He's telling Iran, you have to obey that deal that we're no longer a part of. So that's a little, you know that's difficult diplomacy. I don't think Iran is paying attention to diplomacy at any rate. So what do we do? Now. We have Washington accusing Iran of attacking those two tankers near the Persian Gulf. Of course they Ronnie, and say they didn't do it. But, you know there are some pictures and things that, that bolster the American ascertain their search in there. So what do we what do we do? Now we've got troops going in there. Iran has shown no willingness to negotiate any kind of a new deal to them. Stop moving toward nuclear weapons. And they say they're not even going to enter into any kind of talks with the United States as long as the administration maintains the, this maximum pressure campaign, which is mostly sanctions at this point. So the, the White House now trying to get the allies like Britain, and Germany and France. To, to help push Iran into compliance. Of course, those nations are upset that the US pulled out of it and weaken, the whole thing which they say was working fine until the US pulled out. So that's where we are this morning with troops going to the Middle East. We want to talk to our here from Pentagon. Correspondent Barbara Starr now on the escalating tensions with Iran newly declassified images of what the Pentagon says wasn't a runny an attack on to oil tankers last week, one extraordinarily clear image taken by a US navy helicopter, overhead shows, and a runny and revolutionary guard boat moments after those on board removed an unexploded mind from one tanker. According to the Pentagon more images of the leftover mine, and a hole in the hull from additional blast the Pentagon, acknowledged to things. They are not sure all the damage was caused by mines and the case against the Iranians still will have it doubters. We have not. Basseterre warranties country. And the US are headed for a possible showdown. Unfortunately, are heading towards a confrontation, which is very serious for everybody dirtyjohn in an interview with C N N's, Christiane Amanpour, the ambassador, also claiming a Ron is it responsible for the attack that left two oil tankers damage last week by about this strategy of the US on this book. I'm sure that this is a scenario that some people are very forcefully working on that they will drag the United States into a confrontation. President Trump's national security team now discussing sending more military force to the region. States is considering a full range of options. We've briefed the president a couple of times, we'll continue to keep them updated. We are confident that we can take a set of actions that can restore deterrence, which is our mission set.
