"19 yards, 14 carries. Yep. Joel clapp from Fox Sports will join us a little bit later on. We'll talk some college football. Cowboys rolled the Vikings there and once again, you're watching the Vikings and the first thing that I we were texting and I said fraud. But you know, it's one of those teams where you go, all right, they got blown out. They got blown out twice. How good are they? I think they're only as good as Justin Jefferson. When he's good, they're good. When he's not, they're not. But watching that game, Tony Pollard looked awesome, Michael Parsons, and now you got the Giants on Thanksgiving. Yes. How difficult do you think it is for two running backs to split duty like that where? Tony Pollard basically gets them all the way down the field and then it's like, all right Zeke, you punch it in. It's gotta be tough to get pulled out in that moment. And then I know. Get that touchdown being given to another guy. And then still be like, all right, yeah, go team. Hey, good job, Zeke. You did that. You did it. It just feels like Jerry wants to vet well, okay, Zeke had two touchdowns, but Jerry Jones once to validate giving Zeke that contract. But Pollard caught to and he just a better running back. But this is that, you know, I got somebody who can beat you with their speed and then Zeke is more of a power running back. The prototypical running back, but Pollard is wonderful. Pollard's on pace for 1200 yards rushing 5 and a half yards of carry in 50 catches while splitting time. He's not even getting the line, you know, he's getting the line show that carries now. And he's in the contract here. So they may have to keep him. He's not going to get a monster deal, but he's the kind of guy who could get three years, $30 million. Yeah, but you've got to seek that you're paying what $15 million. And that thing. Yeah. Well, I don't know what would happen in a situation like that. You don't want to tie up that kind of money with your running backs. who is the running back for the chiefs last night, the 7th round pick out a rutger? Isaiah Pacheco. Yes. Number ten. Awesome. He's awesome. 7th round pick out a Rutgers. Wearing number ten makes you look faster too. Sure smaller number. What's the poll question for hour two seat? And our two we're going with since we did biggest winner, we obviously have to do biggest loser this week. Loser. We're going to throw up there the throw up. The Vikings. Tennessee football. They lost just about everything in one day.

"Bushes and extracts a metal box. He's an exterminator, and this box is a trap. It kills rats with a jolt of electricity. No captures in that one. He walks a few yards down the path and opens up another box. It releases a rancid smell. This guy, how long do you think he's been deceased? Two days? It's pretty big. Pretty big belly. Every time these traps make a kill, they email the city. Somerville is just the second city in the country to use this kind of trap called a smart box. Colin ziegler, Somerville's self proclaimed rat Tsar says the traps data helps identify the location of specific colonies. The city can then address problems nearby, like sealing off trash cans, filling in burrows, and teaching people how to rat proof their homes. We think that they're the next step in rodent control and a good city response. The pandemic tips the balance and the ongoing battle between people and rodents. Following lockdowns, large cities across the northeastern United States started seeing more complaints about rats. Here's Michael Parsons in urban ecologist at fordham university who studies wild rat populations. It makes sense that with the closure of restaurants reps are going to need new places to feed. And because they're normally feeding on restaurant wastes in the dumpsters. Parsons and his team analyzed New York City three one one data and found complaints spiked in the places close to restaurants. Parson says it appears rats moved from areas crowded with restaurants into residential neighborhoods around them. People used to seeing the occasional rat suddenly started seeing many, many more. Now that eateries are open again, Parsons believe some rats stayed in their new territories, but others migrated back to their old haunts. Boston three one one data show complaints about rats were up nearly 50% citywide last year compared to before the pandemic. City crews are trying to respond to those complaints by killing rats with carbon

"Look, my amateur eyes, I saw it when I saw him play. And when he was having those dominant spurts, it was like, oh my gosh, this guy's the next superstar. But yeah, then there were games where you barely noticed him. It was interesting just to him. So we're obviously both on both on the West Coast, but the one player of all the guys that I talked to was like, got the most abusive for praise. And I'm not saying he was like, I would have made him the first pick and then my draft, but Devin Lloyd, I talked to 6 guys, a linebacker at Utah. People could not stop raving about him because of he did so much there because they saw him get better every week because they say, hey, they just like, I would be shocked, even I had to have them only going probably way higher than anybody else has them going. I think the like I did a radio show in Las Vegas last night was Sean king, you know, the musburger. And at one point they said, you know, it's 50 to one od that he will be a top 5 pick. And I think it was 21 when you go to talk. You're like, please. No, I could have placed this bet. I'm not sure. Some of it's fit where the need is. And I'm not saying he's going to be Michael Parsons. I think Michael Parsons is a generational athlete, but I think just based on what I've heard, I'd be very surprised. I think some of the earlier mock drafts and this is still an early one. There's still three weeks. All right, he's going to start to, there's going to be more buzz about how good he is. So quarterbacks. This is that time of year when every other segment on SportsCenter or NFL live is about which quarterback or Twitter. And the two that I feel like I've been hearing and seeing the most about are Desmond Ritter and Malik Willis. Those are the two names that if I didn't know better, I would think are competing for the number one draft pick. Your highest quarterback is Kenny Pickett and pretty high up at that for that matter. Number 6. I think it's some of the circumstance here. So with Kenny Pickett at 6, it's where the Panthers pick. We know Matt rule is on shaky footing now. He took, they experimented or I don't know if you could call him an experiment. They went all in on Sam darnold and Sam darnold as great as he was at UFC has been a dud in the NFL. They need help now. Can he pick it from everything I've heard from coaches is probably the most ready to come into the NFL and be a competent quarterback, played in a West Coast system. He continually got better. He's pretty athletic. And he made some big time throws and some games. Any elevated that team. As talented as Malik is, and he has the best arm in the draft, the strongest arm at least. I think there are concerns with how quickly can he transition to the NFL. He played in Hugh freeze as RPO offense. He honestly, in this, I don't know if it's in this story, but it was in another piece I'd done about a month ago coming out of the combine. He, you know, he didn't play at a high level, right? He said, at liberty, they played a couple of games against ACC opponents two years ago, and he definitely made some plays with his legs. He had some problems. He had some three interception games. And so I think there's a consistency issue where it's like, if you don't need him to play and lean on him right away to basically save the head coach's job, you know, he probably would be a good pick. Desmond Ritter, I feel like people are all over the map on. Well, I was just gonna say, in I would say in the last week, I've seen two prominent draft analysts basically say like, if this guy's, this guy's gonna be the next superstar. And if I quarterback, he's not, then the NFL team screwed him up. You got ongoing number 32, which is not bad. He's in the first round. He's in the first round. He's at the end of the first round. And I'm more with you. And I loved watching Cincinnati the last couple of years. They were fantastic story and he is a really good kid, fantastic leader, but I never felt like I was watching an elite quarterback with him. He was just, you know, he did what he needed to do in that offense. Sometimes he would extend plays because he was a good athlete. But it didn't feel like you were watching an elite passer. And yet I'm hearing people say he has the best arm in the draft, and this and that. So why do you have them 32? Hesitation is accuracy. He got better on the deep ball over the last couple of years, but there are still concerns that at the end of the day, it's third and 12, and NFL open as much different than college open, meaning NFL open, you can smell the breath of the defensive back. College open, you can stick like you can drive a mini coupe in between the DB and receiver. And you got to hit that spot. And I don't have, you know, based on what I've heard, based on what we've seen, that he can consistently do it, I'd be a little hesitant and I like him going late in the first round. That's less of a gamble on him going 6. 6 is like, you miss on that and, you know, you're getting fired. Yeah, I wouldn't do that. I wouldn't do that. 'cause not only if he goes number 6, then the expectation is he comes in and starts right away and is an NFL rookie of the year candidate, and I just can't see that with him. Maybe he develops into that, but it seems like he'll be a working in progress at the beginning. And I'll ask you a question. You've seen this mock draft. You've seen the 32 guys. Name me a player who is either on there who is much lower than you would have thought.

"But the bottom line here is that it's part of the reason why we are seeing teams struggling with opponents teams that should be better having a game that they're not as great because we're seeing still not as many third downs being bypassed. And we're seeing teams perform a little bit worse overall on these third downs. And so it's making the games more competitive, more exciting and just more opportunity for swings and fluctuations in the end result, particularly from an ATS perspective. We've seen dogs do really well this season. What about home teams? Home tips are like under 500 just to win. I didn't even get to spread. Right. Yeah, and same as last year, which is what we some people probably didn't think was going to happen this year once you got the home crowds back. Because last year, I think the home teams weren't nearly as good. But home field advantage was declining and now all of a sudden you take away that crowd noise, you think, okay, yeah, of course, that makes sense now in hindsight. Some people were able to predict it ahead of time. We got on the front of the bandwagon. That's why we saw more points being scored. Look at the totals too, Bill. We've seen far more under this year than last year. Last year was like free money being given out if you're betting overs the first four weeks if you were ahead of what was happening. And this year, I've hardly bet any overs. Most of the stuff that I've been betting has been unders and I started back in the beginning of the season in doing that. And it's not as fun for people to bet on. It's not as fun for people to tell them, okay, bet this team under like, oh, crap, I hate betting unders because you like nervous the entire time. But it is absolutely the way that the league has been trending. This season. I have a theory on this. And I don't know if I'm right, but we sought happen in the NBA where everybody gravitated to a specific way to play basketball in the NBA, where it's like, shoot three, shoot as many threes as possible. Find guys who shoot threes, move away from big men and there was a stylistic thing that happened and everybody to kind of move that way. I wonder what football because the emphasis the last ten years has been on throwing the ball. Running backs don't matter as much. Running back many. Find offensive linemen who can pass back. You know, and then on the flip side, the defenses are watching this evolution of these past heavy offenses. And then they start thinking, all right, how do I put my defense together to stop teams like this? And they're moving more at D backs, right? You saw in the draft last year, certain and horn, go ahead of Mac Jones and Justin Fields and even devonte Smith and Michael Parsons because it's so hard to find good cover people. I wonder if the defense is that are being built now are being built to stop these types of offenses. And at the same time, these offenses are only built to do one thing. So you see like a team like the rams or the bucks where the bucks should just clearly be ramming the ball down Washington's throat once chase young goes out. But they're kind of built just to throw the ball in the move the ball by passing. Same for the Chargers where it seems like they could run echo down people's throats. But they're always trying to throw throw throw, move the ball. I wonder if that there's like this weird disconnect now where the defenses have caught up to the offenses. That might be overthinking it. I don't know that they've caught up, but I do think that offenses in general league wide are trending towards a more efficient style of play just like in basketball for what's the most efficient way to score. And so we figured out the way the place is on the court to shoot from. It's your fault, by the way, it's you and your brethren. You tell me how these people to throw on first down to just all that stuff, but now these teams are doing it and how to establish the run. Unlike my pets, who still run. We don't necessarily establish to run. What I still want teams to be able to do is to attack the weakness of the defense. First you have to understand what the rules construct is and to game plan your build of your team to attack the weakness of what the rules are in the NFL. Then the second part is is to maximize that the tweaks for who you have on your roster emphasize the person that you actually have. So you're attacking the rules construct, then you're building towards what you do well. Then you have to build towards what the defense that you're playing on that given week struggles to do. And what I feel like we've seen a lot of is defenses have been more willing to adapt their entire strategy, change, okay, for this week, we're going to change everything and do what the chief struggle to defend or struggle to attack against. We haven't seen quite as much offense as just throw caution to the wind and attack that weakness of the defense as that third stage in the equation of how to win games the most effectively. What is the quickest path to victory is, yeah, you need to do what you do well and the rules construct, but attack this defense where they are the absolute weakest. And I think more teams are going to need to do that. But in terms of leaguewide trends and whatnot, yeah, I mean, if you go back in preparation for the pod early down target depth has absolutely decreased it was 7.1 yard back in 2018. It's dropped to 6.96 .7 and now at 6.3, this season. First down explosive play rate has decreased as well. Third down target depth has increased. More teams are throwing it beyond the sticks because they know that that's more efficient, but if those plays, those plays the further you throw the ball, the harder it is to actually complete those passes, which then does lead to more force down situations and fewer first downs, which we're seeing league wide. We're seeing more pre snap motion usage, which we've been begging teams to do more play action, do more priests that motion..

"Tried to ask right before this. Podcast when you brought it up. But i haven't got an answer yet. I wish i looked that up as a great thought. But i'm sure we'll have that on daily wage this week. Yeah so i mean other things. I think it look if it was the old playoff format and the top two seeds. Get a by. I would think the cowboys would be up there in terms of among the favors just because they're path to the playoffs with their division being worse than we thought it would be is certainly going to be favorable. Although i do think they're road schedules top. They still need to go to minnesota. That's after the bye. And they're going to new england next week but those games are not as difficult as we thought they still go to arrowhead. I believe they've played. I think that's the they've gone to the chargers in one so it's tough schedule but they're in the mix here man like they if they can keep maintain the defense. There's something to be said about that. That's been very impressive. What they've done defensively this year. Especially since putting michael parsons putting him in a pass rushing role that and they're going to get some guys back to us. The year goes on both on offense and defense. So they'll hopefully get healthy like they have. They have is gonna chances anybody in the nfc challenge. The buccaneers monday night thoughts anything. I lean ravens. But i'd rather tease it. Teased with the cowboys. That would be the only teaser out. I would prefer to teaser. Maybe opened up for next weekend. Some legs or just do them tomorrow and look ahead lines or whatever you wanna call the advanced lines early lines but seven. I just don't think this reunion with frank reich and carson wentz is as harmonious as many thought glass half full thinkers thought. It just hasn't let clean that. Yeah they got the win last week but whatever they still not that good. I mean the colts for a little bit impressive. Last week beating dolphins the way they did. But i mean maybe the dolphins are just bottom five bottom seventeen in the nfl. That's daring given how they've been playing. I tend to lean toward taking the seven. But i don't think i'm gonna take a side on this game. I'm lazy a sucker for underdogs anyway so but home teams are four. No against the spread on monday night this year so i recently taken the home team here the spot in this case the ravens would be a good call. Mark twelve eight on against the spread. One lay at least seven in his career or so in on thursdays row. Teams are undefeated. Ats so strange. Twist there on thursday night the big issue but the big highest the bucks. Russell wilson's injury. They'll look headline against pittsburgh that was to seattle is two and a half. That's now up to pittsburgh minus four. So bookmakers look at the difference between russell. Wilson gino smith about six and a half points. Total also dropped five points there as well so seattle you gotta think that given that division. They're in a lot of trouble this year. Gina looked pretty. Good in that game. But see i did did. I was saying the bucks. I believe their next sunday night. My policies on that no. That's next sunday night. Thursday night is the bucks in eagles. Okay so you're the game. You were talking about the sunday night. I thought about this pastors they when he got hurt. Gotcha yeah okay. Good point so just going back the dolphins. I don't think they were down seven with the ball. And then jacoby per se gets hurt. Now maybe i'm just complaining. Because i plus and eleven but they were in that game so to speak but they can't hang with four quarters. So what am i talking about. They can't hang for good teams. Yeah i mean. The thing is like have mediocre quarterback play. They wanted the worst offensive lines. Football their weapons. Offensively our our banged up. They miss parker in fullerton. A couple more games. So i'm not sure what they do. Well offensively and their defense is fine but it's not a difference maker to make up for what their offenses lacking i mean. Take their bottom five team in the nfl. But i think probably about him. The ten team in the nfl at this point for sure for sure that o. Line just not getting it done. I'd like their game plan. Early just came out throwing but then they tried to run a little bit. And then there's the bucks did make plays. I'll give antonio brown. He made some plays and then defense even meet some place to so all right. That's enough dolphins talk. Not sure what it here that much dolphins dolphins talk too much. Jets talk okay. I think that does it. What do you make them. The advanced liner. I guess early line. Detroit dallas minus three at new england. Mccarthy bella check but still seems a little slow small will yeah i. I don't think. I can't trust new england like i talked about this earlier. I can't trust them lane. Points of favorite getting only three as a dog. I i tend to lean dallas in that one as well but it's always hard to go against bill ballot check at home so but but dallas would be my lean in that one for sure. Yeah yeah i mean. Let's also remember new england bunch of injuries on the offensive line. We'll see what the status of those guys are next week. But this cowboys team. Going into the bye i like. They're kind of momentum. There mo..

"A former quarterback played in college Really phenomenal series. We started last week a blog on the boys so ultimately I'm excited to kind of see what was thinking on the interception. I think we've all kind of learned that the interception against tampa was more on cd than it was on him. But this interception against the chargers was gross. And i think the offense is a whole kind of skated in this game. And i think the deck. Oh i it's hard to say. I think again he was necessary and he led the drive. That helps the cowboys. Obviously get the game winning field goal. He did enough. He did barely enough. And sometimes that's what it takes. And ultimately what i would say to that is if anyone on the team arguably if anyone in the. Nfl has earned the right to skate for a week and have his team carry him. It's probably dak prescot. I mean he's been. The guy is scary them. We talk so much about you. Know this was the fifth four-game with mike mccarthy enact prescott on the cowboys and the first four were volatile the first four or deck on the couch trying to do something to help him out in so the fact that jack was able to just kind of not get in the way a ton i think is fine by you. Know certainly would have loved to see something better. Salaam says dak was good morning. I did think that you know. Calendar get a little cute so it is what it is but a find performance. Now scott thank you for super chat. Scott says what about the depth depth came up huge on this game. It's been a long time since we had this kind of depth all over the field. And i think this kind of works with the deck idea because obviously the depth that the quarterback position wasn't something that was a factor today against the chargers depth along the team. Right like that's what this is about and i think that's what your point might be scott. I don't want to speak for you. It's your money your super chat. But i mean this was a game where the cowboys had other people carry them. Other people contribute the j. Ron curses the demonte. Akc's deterrent steals. Is the osa digging who is also a really nice game. I mean there were a lot of cowboys players. And you know what i mean. I don't want to upset anybody. But i'll go ahead and go this direction. One of my honorable mentions scott. And i think this fits well with depth. Jalen smith jalen smith. I thought this was one of jalen. 's better games as a dallas cowboy certainly better games in the last three years and the cowboys had to rely on him to scott's point about depth because they played mike. Parsons defensive end because they had mike. Parsons rushing the passer. Because michael parsons all the way involved in different things. Jalen smith had to be way more involved in terms of the way we all would have ultimately. Preferred him not be Tim logan's has agreed on number nine. Chris randall says jalen decent. And i'm not trying to say that the bar is low because then you get all the trials that are like it's so sad. The cowboys used to be all. That wouldn't super bowls now decent. The bar no. We're not saying that what we're saying is you know. He's people don't have the highest opinions of jalen smith that's generally the consensus so the fact that he came in in a moment where the cowboys really needed him and succeeded is worth to overlook lots of people. Take the opportunity to bag to trashed. Make jokes to share memes. Whatever so we should celebrate when things were dances. Jalen did play better. I can't deny him that agree with you. Let's see here Let's see Kevin's jalen was okay. Crawford's has agreed as crawford. Where yet losyukov agreed. I was afraid. Eleven defense amendment more now but he played well agreed. Let's see here. Let's see let's see. Let's see luther. Just coming in kelly. Trust me out but goodwin totally agree. dan brockett said jalen player. He was playing for his job. Yeah he of did. I mean burmese star says. Yeah i got to give a hat tip solid game. Crispy says thoughts on zeke all right. Let's have this conversation. I've gotta rupiah here today. We're talking about price picks. Which is the hot new thing in the world of daily fantasy and to be honest. It's not hard to see why people are getting all the way into this. Here's how it works. You pick anywhere between two and five players and take the over or the under on some specific stat projections for the day. That's it it's just you against their projected numbers get it right and you could win up to ten times you put down on any entry. And here's the best part prize. Pigs has a ton statistical categories to choose from including yards receptions touchdowns fantasy points and more you can even create a mix sport entry where you take say the overrun points. Kawai and the under on zeke touchdowns which is pretty incredible true. So many sport you can think of in create an entry in.

Going to give you a little bit more optimism because you said, you're taking Washington to win that division. I just think mentally and physically more healthier, a lot healthier than the Dallas Cowboys. So I'm glad that Clarence was fighting the good fight for the Great Cowboys nation out there. But as a realist Cowboys fan, I just believe Washington is the better football team. I trust the defense might trust it. Their coach is not going to have to worry about reining Ryan Fitzpatrick in because if he gets out of sorts, he won't hesitate to put him down on the bench because you mentioned earlier, Taylor Hi, Nicky. He has a lot of faith in that guy. He may be a young guy, but if he's not going to turn over the football, put your defense on a short field in a bad position. He's not going to have any hesitancy of going to him and replacing Ryan Fitzpatrick. I just trust that coach to me. That's the meat. That's the meat. Cleveland moment game. What's coach which coach you trust? More? I trust Ron Rivera a lot more than I trust Mike McCarthy to Cowboys. That's Super Bowl winning coach Mike McCarthy. He doesn't have Aaron Rodgers doesn't have that defense didn't do anything for you. I thought I'd try to throw that out there. See if you would swear you didn't you didn't you didn't seem to take the bait, Freddy? Yeah, when you try to when you have to go into the past. To try to make me feel better with a different team. "Down third day number. Nineteen penn state number twelve wisconsin. This may be a throwback game even though the big is not a throwback league anymore both of these teams play defense and run. The football penn state is when the last four meetings and wisconsin's struggle really ranked teams. They've lost five straight as ranked teams in the last five meetings. Yeah i think it's going to be a low scoring bat on this game. I get a slight edge. The penn state. I do look forward to seeing sean clifford. Going very solid wisconsin secondary deals wisconsin's gonna run the football. You know what they're gonna do that being style. They're gonna push people around the front if they can get back to playing wisconsin football then. Hey the loss of michael parsons in on the defensive side of the ball for penn. State's could certainly help. In their secondary joy porter jr. is could be a tremendous asset for them. But we'll see last one. I leased all. This is all keyshawn. San jose state at your number fifteen usc trojans keen slow has average over three hundred one yards per game in his career. Trailing only ucf quarterback dealing gabri among active players. In your head you worry. You know how i feel about the air raid offense and this is what we run at. Usc we aired all over the place so satistics. He's going to be on par with some of the top quarterbacks in the country but that's not the key mistakes that out kion slovak's is made in the past has come back to hurt usc. They're facing a san jose state team. That went seven and one in the mid america conference last year. So we'll see drake jackson front. We'll see with drake. Young london does at the receiver position. I may golden game. Pac twelve network. Haven't decided yet. By the way. San jose state has lost fourteen straight against pac twelve teams. That's keyshawn johnson. Feel a little bit better about being upset victim. Keyshawn.

"We're gonna have a conversation in which the team does not have some brutal schedule stretch because of the way the road games work out now dallas if you were say like okay well. What's dallas is particularly difficult stretch. They have three consecutive road games weeks. Thirteen to fifteen. Which is pretty rough on to have that happen. It's crazy on the first one is at new orleans and it will be interested to see when we get to that point. What's happening with that. Probably the team is back in the superdome. But it's four games in five weeks weeks. Eleven to fifteen. That's their rough stretch when we do some of the other teams. Some of these like the schedules are unconquerable. Almost like i'm not sure. How any of these teams are gonna win a lot of games with some of the nfc schedules that we have because of that eight nine split whereas the afc teams have nine eight split in almost all cases but with dallas with all of their markets. Okay so wintel. I'm not interested. There's a bunch of bats in which a cowboy is like pretty high up or the favorite and it's like i just i don't see value in any of these so it's like dak to be comeback player of the year would be what. Mike parsons to be defensive. Twenty five plus five hundred for those two beds bed rivers both can said the respective favorite mccarthy. The first coach fired is the fate. We're like so these are all. That's where i see them. And i think okay like i could see this thing happening. This thing seems maybe shouldn't be the favourite outcome but like it's a very high up outcome compared to other outcomes in that market but like the price is so prohibitive on literally all of the outcomes that it makes me not want abandoning of them so like the web. That's why we're it this. Would i be surprised if daquan comeback player of the year not remotely and he should definitely be the favorite. But i would much rather bet on other players just because of the price like i'd rather bet probably on von miller. Maybe i'd rather bet on jameis winston honestly now that he's been named the full-time started. And you have this kind of new orleans leaving the superdome angle. It's totally narrative-driven award if you like comes back to the superdome and they make the playoffs. He's not in the running to win the award. And those prices are mo- he wins. It wins it if right so so it's again. It's not the guy on dallas can't win it's just a price prohibitive so with deck comeback player of the year like. I just don't know how you can bet that that number basically like that low of a price wherever it is pretty consensus price. One that that rivers has so that would be one. The the mike. Parsons thing i i think it's similar problem where it's like okay. We we love. Michael parsons I think brian baldinger. We're going to have on an in. A couple of segments is even the one who came on and was like this guy is unbelievable. He's going to do so many things but he's playing overladen vander ash and jalen smith isn't rate which is insane. I honestly i think it's more of a commentary on the other. Two parsons is expected to be really good. But does he accumulate. The type of counting stats. That may when the award. I think about like a pass rusher even that. They don't do nearly as many things as michael. Parsons does. But they those that's like. Jc horn has seven interceptions. But like doesn't do all the things that mike. Parsons says he just has like those..

"He lost forty ten. But yes. there's your pick. Somebody got c. J. methods on back there and forced this so this plan only happens Because of rondo. Carter so you know. Hey by the way the saints are planning on practicing at. At and t. Stadium through wednesday. September which is next wednesday so that is the official status. That obviously the cowboys don't need. At and t. stadium during the week but nice moment from rondo carter christopher lopez rondell. Carter can't be waived he will be claimed while you know that did happen last year but the cowboys they wind up with back So and rich says ron dell's making the fifty-three i'll be honest with you. Like i said we have our fifty three man roster prediction video coming later today. I don't think so. However however this we'll flesh this out in our fifty three man roster prediction video later on today. The dow has a unique spot. Unique is definitely a unique were us. They still currently have four players on the reserve. Cove in nineteen list in cd lamb. Carlos watkins dimande casey and connor williams. Those four players are going to make the roster but they do not count against the roster currently so technically right now the cow technically the cowboys could end with fifty seven players. If that makes sense because those players are still on it the cowboys also have a number of players who they are likely going to try to sneak in stash onto. I are once the season begins so that they can ultimately return. So that is that's a particular that will get you like said once. All that time comes saw loser boss man fat. Yeah kelvin. Joseph and we mentioned getting out of this game healthy and necessarily being the case kelvin. Joseph did leave the game with a groin. Injury was first questionable to return ruled as out not ideal and look. I don't know where this came from. If i'm being honest with you. I like to think we all do a great job tracking the cowboys and everything that's going on. That's literally our job. That's what we do here. You and me were best friends or family. We come here to talk about this. And prior to the preseason game against the arizona cardinals a few weeks ago. All this chatter started to pick up. A calvin joseph was fighting for a roster spot. Nation stations says loser thirty-three yet really rough game for deontay burden really really rough game. But all this chatter started to kind of pop up there kelvin. Joseph was in the mix to be a starter. And i never understood that. I never understood how this could be the case. Because calvin joseph had not really done much as doug says on facebook. He hadn't done much that point in time and got beat against the cardinals by christian kirk and everybody talked about the push off and everything like that and there's nothing that has really happened and i'm not saying that kelvin's bad i'm not saying his music socks or anything like that. But he has not looked good. And i do feel for calvin joseph because the cowboys are in a spot. Now are really cowboys. Fans are in a spot. Where this team missed out on patrick's retain and jc horn. And we're really bummed about that. Right we're pissed and we're pumped about. Michael parsons but it would have been awesome to have another corner top corner right and so we got a corner it was like. Here's my parsons. But here's kelvin. joseph. And we'll be if felt a lot to me. And i'm not trying to paint calvin joseph with this brush but felt a lot like four years ago in two thousand seventeen when the cowboys came back from drafting taco and shoot loser. Who's looked fine. Cincinnati bengals by the way So farley's and so it kind of felt like that whereas like we have to now convince ourselves that this is what we really wanted this combination. Is michael parsons calvin. Joseph combination and thankfully mica has looked awesome. Can't wait to see him. Mike is going to be great. It's going to be superstar defensively. Brian baldinger last week said he thinks he's going to become the most versatile defensive player in the nfl. That's super exciting. Kevin joseph is not really looked. Good and certainly the fact that he's now injured is question. Mark that we're dealing with and we'll see what the situation is there. Never ideally here groin. Injury by that is that is not good now sanjay. Hopefully this is sanjay law. I mean maybe you can offer us some techniques on carrying bricks but sanjay says right is trash talking about nation right and sean right depending on how you pronounce it in a sean also in our losers less. Yeah a rough game. I mean i saw a comment a moment ago. That the cornerbacks all look bad in this game. They did and to be fair. The cowboys corners earlier. We're going against trevor lawrence it. It seemed like jacksonville. Took this game a little bit more seriously than dallas did Which and we've talked about that for months now about how teams are going to approach the preseason because generally speaking this particular game the fourth preseason game for the cowboys at least has been one of total reserves but with other. Nfl teams only playing three in the jaguars in this case where they're going to treat it more seriously. Also there's a bi week. There's no nfl football next week. Maybe nfl teams would treat it a little bit more seriously and it did seem like that was the case with jacksonville. So you do have to kind of take everything that happened with a grain of salt but in the schon riot has had moments Certainly in practice early training camp where we have felt like the cow is definitely saw. Something like dan queen's preferred model definitely was yielding some positive results. And it's still very well. Could this was just not a good game. Finish on up. Beat a lot. Got drags man. There was a point early in the game where me hooker got dragged ultimate meant the tackle but in the sean right got carried and that is not good. I mean in fact. Trevor lawrence number one overall pick obviously but trevor lawrence looks really good. And that's exciting. You know if you're a fan a football But trevor lawrence certainly had his way with the cowboys defensive backs just in a number of different ways.

"From the most famous wisened churchill's speech from nineteen forty to the house of commons with the germans at their doorstep. Remember it was the. We're gonna fight on the beaches. We're going to fight them in the streets. We're gonna fight them in the fields. Injuries starts quoting from the winston churchill. Speech and it's funny. He's he's doing. He's doing winston churchill voice. That made me laugh. But we didn't see a whole lot of jerry we're gonna talk later about. Cd lamb. okay now. I'm gonna just say this one time. I'm going to be a cowboy fan and i went to my first game when i was ten years of age at the old cotton bowl in dallas texas. So my fans gonna come out now. My two big takeaways from episode two. And you could also say from just both episodes together cd lamb and your man. Michael parsons you said. Redraft said he's going to be the best defense. Learn the draft. Obviously i wanna patrick tan. And i still believe that. You're broncos got a star in. Patrick civilian goods today so i would've taken him just because it was a need position and has a book in. Alabama cornerback run. other guy. Trevan digs nicely. I would think you'd be set. Maybe for ten years but mica parsons is going to be a star in this league and i love what he was yelling at. "Good morning The player i want to see is Michael parsons i think he's a missing piece to the cowboys. Balkin super bowl and as he stays healthy. I going this year. And my other two things i have to say is mr kanthi jerry. Jones made a mistake getting ready to embark scott. We could've used you on our team. Yeah i would have been there if they were to cut the check. Well let's go to carry. Thinks my name is raymond by the way jerry ramose tobar. How does that happen because my name is jen and they call me. Sheila my name is raymond out at the senior bowl in kind of hanging out and jerry's walking down their version of bourbon street. I think maybe he was littered up a little bit. And i said hey jerry jones a nice to meet you know. I played for the ravens. He was like oh man. Thanks for your service. I'm like all right thanks. I'm not in the army. But okay i get it raven soundtrack rare so so then as i was talking to the to the rest of the people that was like the see later mr jones. Nice to meet you. Raymond like never make a lasting impression. Chris i wanna go to you on this because a lot of people have talked about. Mike parsons obviously. And i mentioned this to tobar. He sat out. The twenty twenty season obviously was an option that some players had with the pandemic and with cova which means a little less wear and tear on his body but dallas went so heavy defensively in this year's draft two linebackers two cornerbacks to defensive lineman in with their first six picks. Plus they get rid of mike nolan. Bring dan quinn in. Do you think they did enough to to bolster that defense. I think they invested heavily on that side of the ball. And you have to trust will mcclay one of their senior personnel executives in terms of being able to evaluate talent. And find guys that will fit into dan quinn scheme but i mean ultimately the cowboys. They're team is going to be decided. By what their offense does. And i think that a lot of ways can be their best defense by being able to play a ball control style. So we'll have to see what happens with that. But i mean if the cowboys going to get things turned around on the defensive side of the ball michael. Parsons is going to have to have a darius leonard type of impact on that you remember with darius leonard did his rookie year being able to lead the league in tackles like. It's going to have to be that kind of production from him if the cowboys are going to be competitive on that side of the ball he sean..

"Michael parsons being an absolute game. Record for the cowboys. The former penn state standout is already showing off his versatility and training camp as he's lining up at various linebacker positions as well as showing off his pass rushing skills. Parsons has the attention of mike mccarthy who described his young defensive stud as unique lavar. Your guy parsons the key to turning around the cowboys defense. He's he's a major part two to the ingredients of making the key that does unlock the potential. What the cowboys can be. Listen i say this coming into the draft. When he was coming out everybody asked me what what who is. Mike parsons what what is he. What what can you do. What can he be. I thought he was the best player in the draft overall. Not because of my connection in relation to him. Because i know what his capabilities are. I said this. I made a bowl proclamation on the show yesterday and i saw a couple of people picked up on it. I said it's the best football player. I've seen since i play with sean taylor. That's the first. He's the first kid. I've saying young men that i've seen to the level of what he's capable of doing from the position that he plays that it made me draw. Comparisons like who do i compare him to. Who does he remind me of a what he's capable the dawn and it was. Sean taylor reason why like shop plays safety. Mica plays linebacker. But when you think about the things that sean taylor was able to do. Sean taylor a safety. Both safety positions strong every.

Cowboys decided to make that trade with the Eagles the Eagles to suddenly take Devante Smith, wide receiver from Alabama won the Heisman, the Bears and work to deal with the Giants for the 11th picks so they could get quarterback Justin Fields. He was the fourth quarterback taken in the first round. Then the Cowboys in that 12 spot. Take Parsons, the linebacker from Penn State, who set out last year, a knockdown for covert 19, still the best linebacker in the draft and arguably the best defender. What did you just say? You didn't? I don't know. I have a draft bet, Okay, but I don't want to be part of it. I think a fair draft. That is which Alabama wide receiver goes first, but it seems like a coin toss based on mock draft between jail and Waddle. And Devante Smith. I don't know if anyone in the room knows that, by the way, just got this from my source. Michael Parsons is a guy Denver likes to and there at nine. Makes a lot of sense for the Cowboys. Parsons does have some character concerns, which never bothers Jerry Jones. So, actually, I think it entices him. Maybe You have character issues. Yeah. Yeah, We're here for you. Yes, See, I think Michael Parsons goes to the Dolphins as six. And then I think, doesn't it feel more like the Eagles? Um, like it's like which of the Alabama wide receivers the Eagles are drafting. You know, for sure that chapter screwing up on a wide receiver last year. They get it right this year. Yes, Michael. I think Vegas has the other corner back onto the Eagles JC. Horrible You see out of South Carolina? Yeah, he's Joe Horn sons. That's the Vegas favorite. But the vibe receivers were right there for them, too. Yes, Paul. If he was Michael Parsons, he'd be so much less athletic and less intimidating. Michael Parsons. Sounds like he could run into his stuff. Don't the Dolphins have 18 2? That's where he goes. 18. "Michael Parsons would be great. I'd love to see him and the handle of Honolulu Blue. Jeff. I, Freddy. Yeah. I mean, Brad homes, especially in the scouting department for the Rams, huh? He's drafted some amazing defensive guys, especially out of the oven and first round pick and they got like guys like John Johnson, Great safeties and so like, like Ryan was saying, I think I'm gonna go defense. But more importantly it Z Do is Brad and just the general all the front office have a player in mind they like because that's that's important. If you have a player you really like, even if it means moving up. Go get him because this is the year. But if not, like I said, you have the seventh pick Michael Parsons. If he's there, I think our defense is definitely the way to start because We were God awful. I mean, Jared Goff. You're like we can just drop playmakers and say, Let's get it with your golf. Got a state matter? Yeah, This isn't mad, and we can't sign free agent. You know, defensive players, So I mean, let's be honest. We're to rebuild. So, like I said, go after defense. Um, you know, I heard reports of possibly trading down for other picks. I mean, if you can trade down and you have a guy on defense is still there. Why not? But like I said, Lou, go defense and unless you got a guy in mind, but I'm confident brain will figure that out, especially for the defense. I think linebacker is also gonna be a key factor in the off season, not just in the draft in free agency as well because Delights of I and J. R. Davis. They both looked like Rocky Balboa chasing the chicken around in that training montage to disgrace. I mean, both those and Dan Campbell as much as I love the guys intensity. I love Jared Davis. This guy's gonna be legit. Uh, man, we even say that for the last five years, Uh, maybe it's Patricia kind of ruined up. Who knows, But I would let you date this walk. It was up to me after the first five years, Tyler Weaver. Reliance you doing for agency at seven when I have a hot take, Really? Because I don't really I'm not too familiar with any names in the draft. But how about you? Go on, get a running back, established the running game and Nagy Harris, Right. So you could throw that big old bowling ball around the gold gold e don't know about pick number eight, making a running back the same.

He's like, not a very big do. But I mean, look, he's playing another one's playmaker. Guys like he just gets a bunch of interceptions. He doesn't allow a lot of catches. It just sort of fierce. Yeah, but he's not very big, so I don't know if I don't know if the Cajun Big Z K Jack's not really that big K just got the body of a corner. If you've got the hitter instincts and you've got the eyes of a safety, to be able to do that you could move him back there and they do. Some guys can't make that transition. Champ Bailey couldn't make that transition, but some guys can This. Tory's asking if Gibbs comes through, we do not get gifts. Unfortunately, I know this is wrong. Text. Yeah. So if you want to send in the gift shop to a tweet at us at our average radio or text Ryan directly at 17 0, I'm not supposed to be. Oh, alright, NFL. If you wanna send us any guests way checked those out as well. This one. How far back from nine with the Broncos have to trade in order to acquire a future number one pick? Well, I'm looking at the value chart here. The value of pick number nine, which value charter you're looking at, By the way. That's Jimmy Johnson's The numbers could be a little light. So system that has a value of 13 50. Yeah, that's the Jimmy Johnson. He has to be a little like the Harvard Sports Analytic Elective came over the better chart couple years ago. Most teams use now. All right, I have that one right there. Okay, now you pick still 13 50. This is the value. This is the Harvard sports. Okay, now Alice is one so the values 13 50 there, pick number nine. So if you all really think then I mean again. It's always about what other teams are willing to give you your train back into the twenties. It's possible it well, even the teens, but it depends on want First things first. What's available at nine? Yes, What player fell there at nine or quarterback is still available that a team is desperate enough to go up there and get right. That's part of it. You go back and look. There's been similar trades before. I would suggest that you would look at the framework of the chief's coming up to get at my holes. I would suggest that that deal is kind of the framework that she would start to look for in that I can't remember exactly what the compensation was that at the top of my head, But if you look at that framework, they had it coming from like the 20 you like like Where did they come up from? There was sort of the plates late twenties, right? I'm trying to pull it up right now. So I remember exactly what the exact compensation was on that on the 2017 draft, but Um, the chief's got the number 10 pick from Buffalo. So the 10th pick the Bill's got 27 3rd round pick in that year is well and then a first round pick the next year s o that that got them a first and Third, right. But again, you're going from 27 to 10. It's a pretty massive lead, right? And and that's you know, And that's that is what it is. But and the value of 27 right now is 6 80, right? So you're talking about again to get all the way up to 13 50 years Probably cost you 60 80 a future one Subtract 20% So minus 68 was 1 21 30 ish off. That's all 511 100. You need a third 103rd round and make up the difference, but it's roughly how that works. Um, is future picture valued at 80% of our current your pick? Ballpark on DSA. Oh, that's that's really how words but, Yeah, you could get you could get back into the late teens. Um and and still do that I I would suggest that if you're the Broncos, and you could get a deal like this, where you move back to 25 or something like that from, you know, from nine And you pick up a third and a first. Now get two thirds. You take those two thirds packages to move up in the second round, right And now suddenly getting all you get in that span there in the second round, where all the really good talent that kind of slipped through the cracks is everybody reaches for need positions. Pass rusher tackle officer tackle Rachael's Don't need office attack No quarterback you know those kind of things. If you're not gonna go for a quarterback that you don't need one s o. You know what people are reaching for those kinds of things you get the big time talent. It slips through the cracks and other positions And in that spot that puts you right there in the sweet spot. Where you want to be when you're drafted Young again for the Broncos, if their intent as we mentioned in the last segment if they're intent on getting a cornerback There's questions about Farley and his health. Sir Tain. There's questions a little bit about his fit. And in the end, I I I feel like there are good enough corners in the sweet spot of the twenties and beyond that I would feel very comfortable trading back and taking one of those now. If Michael Parsons is there, nine super talented guy, There's some questions about his maturity and all that. You have to sort that out ahead of time. But if that all checks out that Michael Parsons would make a lot of sense at night, it's sort of strikes me as What happened with Bradley Chub when they drafted him in five. They just didn't really think he'd be there. So if they don't think Michael Parsons is gonna make it, and somehow he slips down to a benign what player is going to show up at nine that they didn't really think would be there that the only scenario because outside of that door, Wilson, I'll say that I'm trading back by the way. Speaking of Wilson really, highly recommend you go check out our guy, Tim Jenkins. His breakdown. He was really, really good on Zach Wilson. I love how he goes from the good.
