How Ami Horowitz Got Into the Business of 'Gonzo Journalism'

"Let's start at the beginning army for those who haven't caught our previous discussions here in America first. How did you get into the business of gonzo journalism? You know, it started with, I used to be an investment banker. I don't embarrass. And those kind of odd, what investment bank would hire ami Horowitz? I know it's weird. Wild, wacky stuff. What can I tell you? I worked on Lehman Brothers. So that goes to show you what they know. And one day I was actually watching a Michael Moore film bowling for Columbine and first I have seen it before. What were your politics at this point? What were you a politics army? Similar as today. My mother and my father raised me as a very serious patriot to always love this country and always defend the values of this country. That had never changed. But when I was watching this movie, boys were called by by Michael Moore, I was thinking about the United Nations and how screwed up the UN is, how it's really failed its mission around the world to protect people. And I was thinking, how do I get this message across? I was just kind of thinking about it and obsessing about it. And I looked over at the screen, I saw Michael Moore's movie as different as his politics are for mine. I realized that this was a very, very good medium. This idea of a dark documentary, a comically dark documentary, shot on location, where you can expose a particular issue. And I thought, this is my mission in life. I literally, this is a Saturday night. One day I quit my job, said, and I said, I'm going to raise money and make this movie raise several $1 million. We made this movie shot her around the world and it was a success. It was in 40 theaters around the country. And what was your background in making movies, army? I saw a bunch of movies. Does that count?

Arrests Made in Fatal Shooting of Rapper PnB Rock

"We got two articles that I wanted to read the rapper P and V P and B rock that was murdered. Out in LA at a rosco chicken and waffles. They found a suspect, but then I'm reading this arcade says man implicated in PnB rock murder clears his name. I haven't been able to read that article yet, but I read the first one, maybe I'll go in succession. And start with his first one said LAPD released a photo of the suspect and rapper P and B, rocks killing. Very, very unfortunate, says LAPD investigated named a gentleman named Freddie Lee, trong, and African American men as the suspect in the deadly shooting they believed that he approached the rapper, demanded his jewelry and proceeded to shoot him several times in front of the rapper's girlfriend along with terrified patrons and staff. Tron is considered to be arm and dangerous and authorities are asking anyone who sees him to call 9-1-1. This is the department also confirmed a 17 year old was arrested in a killing, but did not disclose any details. So pretty much a 17 year old was his son. And he literally robbed him for jewelry, and he says before the robbery officials said Allen's girlfriend posted a couple's location and a rapper also posted a video of him wearing expensive jewelry. LA sheriff, I think his Michael Moore said they believe that the suspects saw the rapper and his girlfriend whereabouts and tracked them down and robbed and shot him.

Kavanaugh Dinner Targeted by Abortion-Rights Activists

"I'm still very curious. As to an argument and I want to, is there anyone who listens to my radio show that is willing to argue the validity of abortions, I don't see that it makes sense. Just recently, AOC, which the book chief bandit, I don't know why she's celebrating the fact that Justin Brett Kavanaugh literally got protested out of a restaurant, Morton's steakhouse, in downtown Washington, because he was one of 6 Supreme Court Justices who decided that roe V wade or abortions should have never been a constitutionally protected. I don't understand as a woman. And I'm not a woman, but I'm married to a woman, and I came out of a woman, okay? Who came out of a woman who came out of a woman. You get the drift. I don't understand how a person can feel that their rights have been taken away from them, and they have been disenfranchised in this country because they can not have abortions.

The Fantasy of a Gun Free Country

"I want to continue the conversation about these crazy lunatics like Michael Moore, who want to restrict guns at all costs. And they want to really, I don't know what word they live in. Because the people in my opinion who were in government who want to restrict guns are out of touch with reality. Because they have nothing but armed people protecting them every single day. Michael Moore and others believe that people shouldn't have guns. Why do you need a gun to protect you? There's always the police. Well, you know that's one or two police officers for every thousand person. So persons, I guess that have been a word to say. So how do they help you? If you get into something right now, as we speak, bang, bang bang, bang, somebody start shooting. What's going to happen to you? First of all, you got to have the wherewithal to get your phone, hopefully you didn't get struck in your hands, face, neck, back, to where you can dial the 9-1-1. And how many of you guys right now know exactly what your location is? And in a full panic, you can tell the police officer is exactly where I'm at. I'm at this location at this intersection at this time and you're smooth. And most people don't know where you are, especially in a panic situation, you don't know if you sat, you don't know if you know it, south, east, west, you may know what street you own, you don't know what a cross street is. And then you got to relay all this information to a dispatcher who's telling you, sir, calm down, sir. What's your name? Sir, how many times were you shot? Sir, did it hurt? Or did it not hurt, sir? How many other people were shot, sir? Is the suspect tall? Is he short? Sir? Stop dying to answer my question, sir. This is what's going to happen to you, you call 9 one.

Filmmaker Michael Moore Pens HisOwn version of 2nd Amendment

"I want to tell y'all about this story. Of this man whose brain is completely faulting him. In his name is Michael Moore, now Michael Moore, he made one documentary that I have any respect for him. It's the one calling out these liberals virtue signaling about climate change. I mean, he may 1 documentary. Maybe he fell on his head and accidentally made a documentary telling the truth. But the rest of his life, he's being an incredible idiotic individual. So now what is Michael Moore decided to decide to do? Michael Moore has decided that we need a Twenty-eighth Amendment to repeal and replace the Second Amendment. Whoo. You know he's stupid. The repeal replaced the Second Amendment. Now, let me read to you some articles or sections of his amendment. I'm going to read them to you verbatim, so I don't miss any of the stupidity. Initially saying that he wants to get rid of the Second Amendment because of violence or whatever the case may be, he claimed that the section one should read the rights of the free people to be kept free from gun violence. And the fear thereof must not be in French and Shelby protected by the Congress and the states.

Will America Return to Who She Was Called to Be?

"The foolery ladies and gentlemen has just captured me. And how we allow these things to occur is beyond imagination for me. I think that people are forgetting what our country was established to do. What our government was established to do. With all of this foolery going on and people leading and running our country without our best interest at heart, what are we doing? What are we doing in Congress? What are we doing at the executive branch? What are we doing in the Supreme Court? What are we doing? I'd have to say just recently the Supreme Court has been shelling out what I would consider to be their constitutional duties overturning and clarifying quote unquote rights that were never constitutionally protected, finally I feel like that they were stepping beyond the veil to actually do what they were called to do, Congress don't do sugar honey iced tea. They don't do nothing. When the Republicans had the House and Senate, they didn't do nothing. Explain this to me.

Michele Tafoya: To Politicians, Any Compromise Feels Like a Loss

"Right. I mean, it's like a movie. It's like, it's like two immovable objects. You're so right about how we get entrenched in our and I'll tell you why I'll speak for myself why we worry about any wiggle room on the Second Amendment. You got people like Michael Moore just came right out yesterday, said time to repeal the Second Amendment. You've got people like President Biden, who literally said the Second Amendment is an absolute. Now I get that. There is a nuance there and I'm no constitutional scholar. I know the old argument about, well, you can't buy a bazooka and keep in the front yard on the other hand if we let anti gun politicians determine what kind of guns Americans are allowed to keep and bear. We're going to, we're not going to have any guns. Well, that's the slippery slope that everyone's afraid of, right? Right. But my husband and I were discussing this yesterday because it was the same thing that happened in the wake of the roe V wade leak that it was either your pro choice all the way up to 9 months or conception is the start of life. That moment. No, there is nuance to this. There are shades of this. There is a middle ground. Right. And I'm afraid that no one's willing to go there because they don't really want to lose the argument and they feel like any amount of compromise equals losing the argument and letting the other side win. When in fact, if we're going to function as a country, we've got to get together on this. And work hard on the difficult issues. It takes hard work. That better damn well be while you're in Washington because you went there to work hard, not because you wanted to go to the cocktail parties and have a job for life.

How Did Dinesh Conceive the Idea for '2016: Obama's America'?

"I did mention Debbie. My name is Austin and I'm an aspiring filmmaker from Georgia. My writing partner and I bring some projects, but we're most excited about a conservative show concept. We'll finalizing this word. From a story standpoint, it compares the analogies of the famous books warnings to the current reality of the United States. Anyway, we would love to know how did you conceive the idea to make 2016 Obama's America with no filmmaking experience and how did you get those who are willing to help you make it such as funding, filmmaking, et cetera, because we're looking for that up to. Well, in my case, the idea of making the film arose out of a book that I had already published called the roots of Obama's rage. So I felt that I had a powerful new insight into Obama. And that would be intriguing as a film. Now, the conventional view of Obama was he was kind of a civil rights guy. He came out of the kind of tradition of Selma and Montgomery, the Martin Luther King tradition. And my point was no. Obama, it's not that he was born abroad, but he comes from a foreign perspective. He is absorbed, if you will, the dreams of his father. So I thought this was an interesting topic to be able to convert into a movie, although I didn't quite know how that would be done. As it turns out, a movie is a journey, and I would have to go to Hawaii and Indonesia, Kenya, and kind of track down almost physically the Obama story. But once I got the idea, I realized that, you know, I'm not on the left. I'm not like Michael Moore. I can't go marching into a studio and collect $10 million and say, okay, I'm going to make a movie now. So on our side, you've got to sort of build it out from the ground

"With us right now is a great American patriot who has done so much in just the last decade for the cause for liberty, dinesh d'souza, dinesh great to see you. Charlie, it's a real pleasure. Thanks for having me. Of course, we're here at a turning point action dinner about to talk about your upcoming movie. We also both have podcasts with Salem first yours is the dinesh d'souza podcast, right? Comes out every day, is that right? Exactly. I do it, I do it audio and video, and I've been doing it now a little over a year, and so I'm relatively new podcaster, but really enjoying it. Awesome. Tell us about the movie. We've talked about it. A fair amount on this program, but no better person to talk about it than you? Well, I think it's my most important project of all the movies I've done. So this is number 6 of the documentaries. And I'm sensing around at the same kind of electricity I felt around the first movie, which was my Obama film called. Really broke the zeitgeist. Yes, the second most successful political documentary of all time after behind Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 9 11. But I think this movie like that film pulls the curtain back. And the first film that was a puzzlement around Obama, Obama was doing all this stuff that seemed to undermine America and it just seemed, is this man so clueless that he keeps giving away American interests. And so there wasn't a good framework to understand Obama. So I got on the plane, I went to Hawaii, I went to Indonesia, I went to Kenya, sort of discovered the real Obama. And here, this is a movie that's not called 2000 meals. It's not about a person, but it's about a burning issue that is surrounded with a veil of censorship. It's about an issue that's on. It's almost like it's haunting the American mind. And I don't think we can really go forward as a country without learning, perhaps not all the truth, but at least some of the truth. And by truth here I mean, documentable, provable facts about the 2020

Nobody is doing what you're doing. I mean, you know, Jesse ward is what his world is fun. It's amusing, but your videos are shocking. Why are you doing what you're doing? And one day the Saturday night and I was watching the Michael Moore film going for Columbine. And I started drifting off thinking about the United Nations and how horrific they are and damaging they are. And why isn't anybody up in arms about it? And I looked over at the screen at the Michael Moore documentary. I thought, what did engaging interesting. Way to convey an idea, this idea of a smart, dark documentary. "In private believed a the weapons of mass destruction lies told by the bush administration and so my thought was for a time in perpetuity with one hundred million viewers watching to just to ask the audience. I sam grateful. Thank you for the for the acknowledgement of your wonderful film on columbine and then say just just time because it could we have everyone in the audience would doesn't stand behind this war. Stand up and then we would have had photographs of just how liberal hollywood is when they get scared. And i remember this. I remember thinking when you said that i want. Oh no. this'll be the end of me but it was a great idea so as people have seen a remember if they do if they're old enough to remember they announced the bowling for columbine. Was the winner went up on the stage. I had asked the other documentary filmmakers. Who were nominated. Please join me if they'd like to on the stage. Because i was going to say something and they all came up with me all the other nominees. I don't think that had ever happened before. at the oscars. And then i just i just said you know we make nonfiction films. But we live in these fictitious times with fictitious president. And as soon as i went there boy the booze started and thought. I should have stuck with shawn's idea. Just just let them let them stand. They'd have to boo each other for just sitting in their seats that way but now so they started. The booze just got louder. There was a lot of applause in that. I've i've watched the tape since. Then you know scorsese applauded and meryl streep and other was nice support but up in the balconies. Were all the tickets. Go to the sponsors of the oscar ceremony. The that that whole thing up there with was was pandemonium and then they lowered the microphone. They start up the band and that was the end of me. And and sean. I went back afterwards. We went to the governor's ball afterwards. I was shunned by everybody and an hour later back at the hotel room. I call i got was from you is you had you were. I think on your bike on your motorcycle heading back to the bay area yet. My son and i run a motorcycle trip. Okay there we go and you said to me. Is there anything i can do for you. I mean we'll turn these bikes around right now and come back if you need help or support and it was the kindest hall that could come in. I was obviously his. You know his pretty rattled and that night on all the la tv stations. People out east. Don't know this but because the astros are are over a west by you know eight o'clock their time so they have all these like post super bowl shows like post. Oscar shows every channel. And i just kept flipping. The dial in every commentator critic was saying well. that's the end of michael moore. I don't know why. Why did he do that. Why did he do that. It's the fifth night of a war against a badge of honor to win when you do work. It's as deserving of it is columbine and it's an equal badge of honor. It'd be booed there. I you know when you're making many people happier you're doing something wrong. Well thank you said that to me that night and you just said it again. I i so appreciate it. Took me quite a while though after that because few days later the Studio that was going to do. My next film ripped up the contract even at all signed and they even sent the first check and they said we don't have anything to do with him or this next film that was called was going to be called fahrenheit nine eleven so we instantly were all out of work..

"At once covert climate and the coup we are in a disastrous ecological pandemic. That may also be the cause of the corona virus pandemic. Mother nature has decided the only way to protect her. Earth is to attack those trying to kill it us by fire flood virus. Dead oceans drought bats biomass starvation. She she just throwing everything at us to see what sticks. And i'm guessing she's thinking two or three more pandemics should do the trick. With these mutant apes the final pandemic thrust upon us has been the impending death of our democracy a plague of millions of people who know that their race is being depopulated and are hell bent on destroying what's left of our system of elections governance and our hopes of equity and fairness and freedom. They are the super spreaders of hate and ignorance and are only comfort. Right now is that there are about ten million more of us than there are them and thanks to their believing that kovic is a hoax and bleach is a medicine. We are now going to ironically outlive them. Because we lined up and got the shots that trump himself ordered for us. So maybe there's hope here's how my new letter to you will work. I've teamed up with an amazing free service for writers and artists called sub stack. Some stack is a publishing platform. That i and many other writers believed to be a better and easier way to send you our latest writings. Rants podcasts videos ideas recipes. All of it by way of a simple elegant email that's informative subversive and entertaining a place where we can write you. A poem sinuous song. Help open the only abortion clinic. In your state this -combobulate the domestic insurgents eliminate the filibuster and the senate barbershop and show you our plan on how to get ninety three percent of the world vaccinated each week. I'll share my new writings. Random fought or to my weekly podcast which will be embedded right here in this email just clicked play boom. There's podcast my weekly letter will also contain some bit zimbabwe's or or maybe something. I've run across from far corner of the world that i know you're going to like all of this will come to you in one breezy email. A simple easy to use and share letter from mike from me to you just like that and you can share your thoughts back with me. Here's how to think of this. Think of it as a million of us coming together and acting as one finding ways to embrace each other to embrace in protect our democracy and to embrace this fragile world which we inhabit. I have been a witness to forty. Plus years of those in power seeking the dumbest down demoralizes crush our spirits and keep us in a place with little or no political or economic power. If we want to speak up to write broadcast ourselves to have our voices heard. Where do we go. Ask anderson cooper to have on his show tonight instead of a hedge fund closing local paper. How about just giving it to us. And then there's social media and let's be honest. They're all massive corporations complete with their own often. Insidious motivations to drive eyeballs. That's what they call it to drive eyeballs to get clicks no matter what. The cost is to our social fabric. That's what passes now as freedom of speech my dear friends. I am longing for place to have intelligent. Civil exchange of new im- brave in beautifully radical ideas a platform where. I can right what. I want to say to have a thoughtful conversation with you to truly connect without the trolls and the bigots stinking up the place. I want to act with you all of us now in ways that will actually affect change. Because you and i both know that our time is running out. I've been shaken by wass the sheer subsumed by the injustice of it all and consumed in a quiet rage and buy some strange accident of will. I began recording a podcast in my tiny guest bedroom. Exactly two weeks before the first cova death after that i didn't stop i've done two hundred five episodes of my rumble podcast. And thanks to many of you. Thirty million of those episodes have been downloaded. I honestly don't know where i'd be. If i hadn't had the chance to talk with all of you through my road mt. Usb microphone here two to four times a week during this last year and a half and well hey we got rid of the former guy. Right right i know i know. Nearly half of this country sick mad unvaccinated and they ate it all up and they might again remember. we are the majority. Now in eighty million of those millennials have saved us saved us for now. So this is my plea my promise to you. We have a choice. We are all in earth's icu. Together right now and yes. We can't beat back the monster but it won't be easy and it won't work unless we all lock arms and fight the greatest non-violent fight of our lives if you're listening to me right now because you've received this email letter For me that means that somewhere through the years you've already subscribed to and are currently on my email list. That i wrote everybody but my mailing list on tuesday of this week and but i i wanted you to hear it. People listening to this podcast. We've gone on to create their own. Podcast i'm so happy here this now more than ever our voices need to be heard in now my letter to all of you so our empire has once again lost another war. The last war we one was seventy six years ago this past sunday at some point. Don't we get relegated. Out of the premier league. Don't we eventually get sold off to yahoo. In two thousand one in the days after nine eleven mine was a lonely voice insisting that we not invade afghanistan on september fifteenth. Two thousand one. I sent a personal letter to my email list. Saying this i feel. I have a responsibility as an american to speak out and say what needs to be said that we the united states of america are culpable in committing many acts of terror and bloodshed and we had better get a clue about the culture of violence in which we have been active participants. I know it's a hard thing to hear right now. But if i and others don't say it. I fear we will soon be in a war. That will do nothing to protect us almost twenty years ago in a subsequent letter. I asked the nearly one million people on my list to join the trying to stop this war. Many of you are on that list. You inundate congress with calls and letters and although we couldn't stop that war nor the one in iraq. We did continue to organize to march to vote into raise a generation who grew up to be overwhelmingly for peace and who detested war. In fact since nine eleven nearly eighty million young people have become a voting age. I continued sending you those letters sometimes upwards of twenty thousand of you would write me back. These were the days though before social media but soon we would all switch to likes in tweets in letters in emails began to fade. I miss that immensely. The more personal and intimate discourse that we could have and it wasn't long before many others missed it to facebook had made a stupid twitter made us angry. Instagram just made us hungry for well. The food emails. You know the thoughtful letter to long lost friend or the angry missive to a member of congress did eventually make a glorious comeback so i want to reconnect with all of you in this manner by sending you my weekly letter with a bunch of new thinking and fresh ideas in how we can turn things around. We are in the midst of trying to survive three massive pandemics all.

"I mean like i. I get sort of mad from the outside. Like get your people come on schumer. Come on biden like collect your people get them under control. you know. mcconnell wouldn't let this happen so but then i think what do you do these mansion in cinema. This is a degree of malevolence. That what do you do. How do you fight it. So i don't i wouldn't have. I don't have a plan. My own plan from the outside is pull it together. People be be a party a party with a tiny majority that is one health crisis away from. It's not a real majority right. And i mean even in numbers. It is one health crisis away from a minority. One idea of. I think he could do it. Okay but it's it is the again it's old school politics and that the kind that we like but I remember lyndon johnson getting all those southern democrats tive over the civil rights Bill and all of that and he just brought them in one by one six five or whatever and just powered over them and just got out his finger and wagged and said. This is what you're gonna do. But i don't like that. I'm not suggesting that by well. There's also i mean what is what it who's who's their god right. Because i don't know maybe i got. Yeah because who's mansions god because i know what it is. It's money money right you you bring them in and you buy them off you go old school on this and you buy them you. Don't buy them off by getting mansion a yacht and cinema some resort property in mexico. That's not how you do it. You they wanna get reelected and the best way to do that is just have them come in and just say tell me whatever it. Is you need for west. Virginia what do you need for arizona. You talk about pork. I've got so much pork to give you. It's it's limitless. And so what can i do. And who would be opposed actually to making west virginia better state better for its poor people arizona. Just say what do you need because we need your votes to get this voting rights thing past. We need to pass the infrastructure stuff. And you've got to do this. And and i am willing to give you things that are not in this budget. I'm gonna put them in the budget. And i'm going to tell all the democrats they've got to vote for it. Just make your list. Give me the list. Just gimme the list. Does this sound the sound like mike. Don't go back to those days. Don't do that right. no. I mean. I don't i don't love that..

"That makes all the difference in the world. and so. that's sort of what. I'm this piece is describing some of that right how this process is happening. And how this generation of people who i think do think very differently than joe biden has either thought or legislated throughout his five decade career. That we've known him for right He actually was elected. Before i was born he was elected i was born in nineteen seventy five and joe biden was elected in seventy two and came to the senate in january of seventy three. So you that's what this piece is doing is trying to figure out what's the match here. Why did he do this thing. Why did he. Why did he build an administration in at least in part not entirely of these really dynamic in some cases forward looking people who see government in a different way and some of the pieces wrestling. With what about joe biden leaves him makes him open to that kind of generational and ideological shift. That i think we're seeing the thing about biden that has been surprising and cheering to me. Because i think he very well could have governed in the ways that would have matched my worst guesses about him which would be in the spirit of the nineteen nineties clinton into obama years. You know sort of centrist neoliberal cowering position of what had been until very recently the contemporary democratic party. And i assumed that was how he would govern. And he certainly has elements about around him but he has stocked his Like his administration in some cases the cabinet but but also the kind of two and three levels down into his administration with really fascinating group of people and the piece that i wrote a few weeks ago is largely about a kind of economic policy side of things. I think it's in some cases. It's true around immigration and climate. We'll see but you know he's br. He's brought a really surprising group of people who are a lot younger a lot more progressive a lot more diverse In in their thinking as well as in terms of their identities and their ages than than i might have expected. And i think you can see that reflected in the policy They're making whether or not that policy gets through. And whether or not biden and the senior democrats actually know how to fight for that policy successfully and if there is a path to fight for it successfully. These are open questions but a lot of what he's putting on. The table is a lot more dynamic. A lot less after than i would have guessed And so the thing that i am pleasantly surprised by is his openness to a new generation of economic thinking and idee an ideology and political approach to politics and framing of the government. Which i think is really important. He's really open to new ways to cast the role of government as a beneficial force in people's lives..

"Slash rumble. I'm going. I have a couple of theaters. Michigan movie theaters nonprofit movie theaters. And i'm gonna oatmeal themselves. And i've told people in town that you have to be vaccinated in order to come in to this movie house. A movie house has no windows. There's no such thing as i mean. I i'm installing right now. It's costing money A new filtering. Not just a narrowly. I should call filtering system. It's a fresh air system. I'm i'm bringing in fresh air constantly now In taking it right back out and it has to go through the super super heater or in the summer super cooler so my utility bills are gonna go way up But nonetheless i'm doing everything i can do to have fresh air in that but i don't want people in there. I want people coming to the theater. Knowing the other people are sitting there with in the theater are vaccinated I haven't gotten any any pushback yet. I kind of expected it but it hasn't happened but Do you think i'm wrong requiring at least for now People have to show their vaccination card. I you know. I think this is going to be really important And i it's interesting. I've been having a lot of conversations with businesses especially the general counsel of businesses. Who want to have my vaccine mandates. What's holding them. Back is the fact that they've not been formally Approve they're still released under emergency use and they see that as a problem. I i don't really see the problem but they. They seem to see it as a problem. So that seems to be. What's holding the back. And i i don't you know the. Fda is now talking by january. before it's fully approved. I i would have thought that could move faster on this. Since they knew it was coming. So i don't know exactly what the issue my wrong here require. That people vaccinated come into my theater. Because you know what the hamburger joint down the street. He has a sign that says no shirt. No shoes no service and nobody complains about their constitutional rights to eat dinner in front of other people with your shirt off and the bookstore. You mentioned a bookstore. The bookstore down. The street doesn't allow cigarette. Smoking isn't that strange. Don't we have a constitutional right to smoke a cigarette in a bookstore. No yeah you have no arguments no argument from me it is just. It's interesting well. I think a lot of the big corporations are the ones who are skittish. Because why they don't want to upset the ignorant. Well i think it's i will also i. I think you know what i'm hearing from. A few of the big organizations is they have a lot of unfilled positions right now as is and so if they have to lay off a substantial segment of the workforce. You know whether it's five percent or ten percent there are a little worried about how they actually run the business. That which is kind of interesting. So i didn't realize that there are so many open jobs right now so that i don't know what's going on there. Well you while there are a lot. There are a lot of people who work in hospitals that are not vaccinated. It's just there's there apparently practicalities that are making businesses skittish about doing it. Maybe it's because we're nonprofit. We're not in the business of making money. But look if i'm going into you know my special needs daughters likes to go to movie theaters. And we're telling her no because there's too much cove it so but we're saying still a lot of cova transmissions but if we knew that theatre where everybody was vaccinated yet we feel a lot better about the michael moore could guarantee you because i have made sure that We've checked their cards..

"Had a supermajority right in two thousand eight. He well maybe didn't have sixty votes in the senate. I guess but no but he had enough. He had enough but it was squandered well but he was afraid of people in his own party who were advert loyal to police loyal to insurance companies and banks the healthcare lobby wall street. And so i think this is a cautionary thing for us to think about it in a lot of different ways. America's not gonna demographic itself out of these issues. America is a country whose as a legal entity is founded upon white supremacy and settler colonialism. As you just mentioned. Canada is exactly the same You don't change that by changing the demographics of the country but leaving in place the ideological foundations and legal system of that entity. You can't brock. Obama presided over thousands of black people being murdered by the police and was too scared to do anything about right. Said i'm going to close guantanamo bay and then was like. Oh man you know you build this like site of complete human suffering. It's really really hard to undo it. Like so i guess. I have an excuse that it was really a lot harder. Everybody thought and i'm sorry. But i couldn't get this done. Everybody thought the black man will me i. I didn't think the blackman was gonna come in and like make magic and make it rain but some people dead and some people actually expect that of black people. They expect the black people to come out every election because they're black and have an ideological bent that saves their own lives and votes in their own so-called interest but they're also black billionaires. They're also black. Ceo's they're also black judges and police officers and prison wardens. That don't actually want this system to change because they're also benefiting from it so i don't think the answer here is is to hope that in twenty or thirty years there's enough black and brown people that we don't have these policies anymore..
