"Always going around wanting to go round out. That's just incredible. Yeah because the plane yeah. We don't have to digress to find. It is but i'm just curious like if they come to you two months later and they're like. Hey you know back on that. Approaching the pittsburgh. We noticed that unstable areas descent raider. Whatever like our our pilots actually able to remember what happened. There was a flocking piece. I had i mean how do you how you remember even have those conversations. Yeah so luckily in my three and a half years of being my company. I haven't been called yet and that's not to say that i'm like a perfect pilot but i just have. I haven't had the call it would assume. Es in no usually most of the time you'll know usually you know like certain things stick out in your mind and you kind of understand. One focal might call. You're like i. i was outta limits. I know they're gonna call me and you kind of make a mental note but as time does go on you do forget and i mean it's perfectly acceptable so you'd be like i really don't remember like there's no you don't get in trouble for this. It's completely anonymous and there's really no it's just a kind of get a better understanding of what's actually going on the road For certain situations. I'm guessing you already have kind of defense lined up and ready to defend yourself and why you did it and then you just tell them your side of the story. Oh okay you kind of had to do that. It's okay or they'll be like. Hey maybe next time go around and try again like nothing hurts. Always go around if you need to so cool to hear that. I think this is why in jake people really need to tunder san how important this processes is because you know when it comes to sanitation all the rules. You have to fly by. They are as powerful as they are because the company is watching and the company's derive the accents. Anyway you've got a couple of pilots on slate working for your company and they crash and they die. The company learns and adapts learns of all Put new procedures out there that prevents that stuff from happening like in g. a. There's people down all the time and we just had no idea like you know people now near me and i don't even know what happened right so it's super important. People are watching. What's going on out there. And i think for accountability one small thing and this is small but one thing people can do is when you do write down your own. Let's call it your own operations manual instead of personal minimums but you you make like a written record of your personal minimums or rest requirements or whatever. You've decided for yourself. Give that to another pilot that you respect and just say these are my minimums are. This is my operations manual. I know it's small but like if you're out there in north dakota with your family and the winds are crazy strong in its way outside your minimums. You just might be thinking in the back of your mind if i try to take off and go off the runway here. There's gonna be like. Bill's gonna know that i was outside my limits. At least it's something i like. There's one other person in the world who knows what your socio thought about idea. It still comes down to to to making a decision that which is really difficult and like we are kind of often attended. But i think it's important because this it's an this is a cause of a lot of accidents is just you think that you can do it. And you kind of don't adhere to the own rules that you have put in your mind and put down a place. I think it's important. It's important to have like an accountability. Buddy and i don't know what that looks like for you or how you make that happen but Have someone chicken on your call. Someone be okay. I don't really feel comfortable with this flight. And then you find yourself making that call. It's usually you have if you have those doubts. It's usually a good idea to not make that flight. You know if you ever find yourself doubting The airplane the situation the conditions like it was very hot in aspen. The other day and the density altitude was a very very high. And it's like make sure you check that it's not a good idea for a single engine to be taken off high in the mountains which i'm sure you has over new. Can't they haven't truckee in a couple of days. It's like it's a very very important to have these in place and make sure you never crossed because you might look like it's easy right now but when you're facing this position a lot of times you don't know that you're making a bad decision until it's too late. Yeah exactly yeah. it's so. Hard in an unregulated environment really is and then you have all the people judging decision you made because you can't defend yourself no not that question for you Let's see here. this one is going to be. Oh here's what do you dislike about being. Cfi one thing you can choose and be like dang. I really don't like this if you have one. That's one thing i mean. That's a tough question. Because i really do love teaching but start to tell you the first thoughts that come to mind one is the amount of flying that you really have to do to make it like your real job Often said to my wife. If i could do one less than a day. I would be a much better instructor. And i think that on you know i don't. I'm fortunate very fortunate and feel like blessed today to not have to do this many flights but you know early in my career three or four plates day five six days. A week was not uncommon and on the third fourth flayed. You're just not as good as you were on the first or second flight and I wish i didn't have to fly that much to make ends meet. Because i would be a better instructor. And that's one thing on the other thing maybe is on the popped into my hands so i'll say but it's a joke on instagram. That i fly in my fishbowl. Mary like i. I don't like the the people change a lot. And i think being an instructor is really a game. Like if you don't like people you're not gonna like teaching because it's all about people and i really love people and everybody's different. So that part's constantly changing but self scenery outside doesn't change very much. That's why i joke columnists focus on sort of stuck in this little area so that i'd be you know. Sometimes i end of like flying john. You have for example. You're like all over the country or you know somebody like michael. Montero is all over the world knowledge newsletter. I think he's sixteen slam. The triple a handy way. So but yeah so. It's like you know the fun thing about flying. Life's too short to do it all if you really so. There's no one of the things times have to get used to the idea that you're always going to be logging fi a different airplane. You're always gonna be lying via different type foods and snacks. Yeah always right. It's an exercise in being content. With where you where you are just the airborne at all and what's funny about that is when you're in your training or your se- fi you're longing for faster for bigger for better for more technology than when you find yourself flying that you're looking back in new. Jada is not true for everyone but for majority of pilots. I fly with. They like man. It'd be fun of flat cub before the even the funding to go to tie. That's why it's important to understand and realize to just enjoy the moment. If you wanna be a professional pilot that's gonna come but you never know when you're just going to be able to go rent a one seventy two and aero or go fly around for fun. Go get the hundred dollar hamburger because once you get to stage a professional pilot you know those opportunities. Don't come up as much. You don't make a priority to make that happen. Yeah that's that's i. I can only take your word for that. But i hear it a lot You know and and some people are really lucky to be able to like. I know you're interested in getting back into a and i think you're going on an airplane someday right like so. There's definitely those pilots guys like know your day job is flying a lake justin. Your comes up and teaches on our trips right. Like he's day. Job is fine for jet acts and the also has a one twenty that he flies around his.

"Five year plan. You had that drive. Your plan has to change in turn our attention to us because of that flat cap environment and because were not in a playoff spot. In the king's perspective we had a little state of the franchise event with season ticket members. Recently i asked rob blake like does you know the trade deadline approaching regardless of whether we make the playoffs are your plans changing. And he said no but the kings have made some trades in recent days and like neither of them like michael montero. Michael going to the the ottawa senators. Christopher landon deaths defensemen coming back the other way and brennan lemieux The bottom six forward Coming this way from the new york rangers both of them to me. Strike me as minor deals. That aren't that it's not about today. There's there's something bigger. And i don't know what it is that there's there's another. There's another shoe to drop well with alex. I think it's you know when he first came into the league. He had some real good like you had a good start to his career. They dipped and i think the kings with michael emanuel. No we've dealt with michael right kid great guy but the depth that we've been talking about with the prospects has overtaken michael amato in the king system. They have players know jumping over him so and they're younger than the less expensive. And that's what you have to do with will add on. It's it's it's it's a it's a project for the kings. They're hoping that will an can get back to where he was a couple of years ago. And then you're at a point where you can consider having a part of your long term plan. If doesn't get back there it's just it's just you know a player for a player so yeah so it's it's kind of a in both cases you know you're taking a guy who you think has potential and you'll see what happens. I'm more curious. What only texts from friends about the la- muturi yeah lemieux's the new has more long term. You know he skates well enough. And he is a past. And he's physical. Do the kings have a player like that called. Grunge drum note could be physical on the fortunate. But so you're just trying to get pieces ingredients. I see more of a term thing. Willem you than i do with women unless will added recaptures something that has slipped and bottom line. I i don't see the kings making any deals for the purpose of getting them into the playoffs. This year any deal they make i believe would be contingent. Upon is the age of the player. They're acquiring going to be around in three to four to five years or being his priming three to four or five years when the king's field they'll be you know starting to enter a window again where they can be competitive and having settled that back to the cap. As far as i looked the other day the kings are in the best position right now of any team in the national hockey league with room under the cap so your position for when other teams are going to be struggling with flat cap. The kings are going to be able to sign a free agent forward. Sign a free agent defenceman. I'm talking big acquisitions..

"In freddie roach's like parking lot and now the doing this one in puerto rico and outdoor venue screen sharing. I don't know if you guys seen it. They did the last one in puerto rico but yeah man. I like these outdoor venues. Man doesn't look like they're going to be having fans though. It looks like another bubble right. Like i don't see seats in this little setup doesn't look like it and the reason i'm asking do you guys know who's behind it because look at what they did here like. This is some of the things we talk about on our show and you know they're listening right. It's like fat. Joe has been given a platform bring city to do in an interview with the surrounding. Now they both from new york right so that works but the fact that fat joe has already been doing interviews on his instagram with big name celebrities out of the niche of boxing and they seen that and reached out to him. I love that. I love that. They did acts. Amanda with fat joe again trying to cross to different genres and we all know that the hip hop community will definitely purchase some pay per views. If they are intrigued enough. So i think this was a good attempt by ring city and i. I just wonder you know. Who's behind it man. That's really congratulate them. Well i know you know this was like Brit something from the brain child of like nbc sports network. They wanted to have another show. And the way that it was pitched to me or and i won't say me specifically but To those of us that were on that cau- The way it's like like the middle class of boxing is just disappeared in guys like lou dibella who i mean louis. Kind of like in the bubble you know. He gets a lot of big fights but at the same time he puts on a lot of smaller cards. But they're like so many. You know club promoters that have not been able to do business and here comes ring city and their attempt is to basically accomplish with show. Box often fails to do and that showcase talent That's up and coming young or even you know has had shots and they're trying to come back but in good fights and that's where that's where show box usually we kind of drops. The ball is competitive fights with you know they a lot of times they just give those guys. you know. easy ws But that's the way reading city was pitched to me You know guys lake dibella going to get the shot to You know really get get guys opportunities in front of a national audience. Yeah what. I'm getting guys from Ring city usa is a evan rakowski. He's a co founder. Boxing and marketing at ring usa digital startups out. So you know. He's one of the gentlemen responsible for this as a co founder. I don't know who the other guy is or lady but Yeah that's the guy. Evan rakowski yeah. That's that's that's a name. I've heard That i had heard you know attached with it. But i mean ever since you know Foster debuted on you know. I think that was the first fight. If i'm not mistaken. They've had good fights they've put up good fights competitive fights and you know A lot of people that we wouldn't have seen otherwise. What's the female fighter who has a really difficult name to pronounce the star of the end. That's from canada. Oh my god. What's her name that starts with a m. starts with an end. Well she goes down. Kim us now. There's only like It should just ring city yay ring city. Yes thank you. You know what. I'm talking about right. Do just jeff jelena sukhavich butcher. That please don't think francis eleven. On that i feel bad but we got see her fight and You know this is a person who You know her her trainer and and the prisoner into boxing is. He's in a coma and she's kind of had to start all over in in in now. She gets this opportunity. She got to fight enrique city. And and it's put her name into the stratosphere where a lot of other people talking about her and and so you know that that that kind of movement inner career doesn't happen and this stale universe that is you know covid so it's been a good thing so far a lot of people have had to work through a lot of -versities man with the virus. some have come out on top some have faltered and have taken. You know the blame that comes with faltering. But it's been rough on but you know it seems like there's light at the end of the tunnel. We'll be getting to know. Excuse me i guess. Canelo is holding. The torch lead the way the light at the end of the tunnel. 'cause he's sold twenty thousand in one day so we're looking at a hundred thousand right call. Yeah twenty thousand pre chant. Date no scabs out here chance Yeah michael montero said. He did some calling in digging and he said that the the numbers are ru. I don't know if you've seen emerson your twitter ga. I didn't see that. Wow let me let me Go over to mr montero's twitter at see what he's saying. They got a pretty decent schedule to their got conwell fighting on april eighth. I'm definitely tuning into that. Yes yes yeah this hard I don't know a lot of who's fighting to be honest with you. I just i mean they were promoting. Amanda pretty heavily But yeah the the they've got dates and From what i hear. There's a lot of different fighters that they're going to try to approach a lot of different fights that they're interested in making by the year's end and You know there's not a lot on the schedule you know guys like we're in a situation where it's kind of weird There's not a lot on the schedule. And and there's a lot of dates that people have kind of thrown as their own in the air. You know guys that have say their own. Fighting may find september. Find this summer. A lot of vague stuff burr right now as it stands there is like nothing past like there are two dates in may one of them's can and that's really it. You know april scott. A couple of you know smaller but really good cards. You know drone The ns lipids connor. Ben samuel vargas. That's a great fight up. Love that fight But then you got like j. Paul ben aspirin. You know what i mean. It's kinda like and that's like honest. Does more views and pay per view at like at this point. I don't know it's a weird situation because after this our next lake big bite. you know. it's i think it's what harry frampton wrong could be wrong on the boxes schedule. Yeah but then you know i. It's i don't know that you could probably count. The number of fights light cards left on two hands from here to may which is like you know between espn fox matchroom zone. You know that's showtime not a lot of dates. Well sorry fellas tied up with some back in business all great the back edge. We open up the call. I mean we should just at least say our last piece on on his billion white thing you know just so that the call is right now tuning in know exactly what these topics are all about and again just still shocked. "Don't wanna get left out or feel bad for not agreeing with those things. So yes about the agencies. You can sit and they'll go. You can't say anything about people you got them right. You can't they just got murdered. Shut the fuck up. That's it be quiet. Let it be and move on because it ain't it ain't about you about you. White people we white privilege who are republicans who make a lot of money. Don't have anything to worry about. But you get mad when something like this happens you go all. The asians are getting all the attention. Listen you guys had spotlight on your mother fucking ashes for four hundred years disney united states home when i am talking about other countries let other people have been murdered. Disrespected a treated unfairly because of the color of their skin. Or how is look or the sexual orientation. Let them get to spotlight. Take a step back white people in if you can't be our ally here's my advice. Shut the fuck up exit choices. Say got two choices. is funny. I didn't even put it in the rundown but if people saw kind of our twitter feeds the past couple of days. You were mentioning like you'll listen. Sometimes you gotta check someone case in point. There was a boxing journalist. Who got his receipts. Polled and i feel like the boxing community. At least people. I follow quick to check his ass. I don't even know his name. Michael on your l. Say his name. He blocked me. I don't even know him. Mike michael montero their you. I guess with ring magazine. That's all going to say. Whatever rice ring magazine just thinking. Racism is funny and so corn like their stuff with him defend. I'm not a racist like certain like that's really funny. That like you're definitely not a professional. How do you interview and cover a sport. That's eighty percent minorities and shit. It's funny see and again. It's it's like i'm not gonna say. He's a racist because of the so-called jokingly tweet because he may have his whatever. I disagree with them. All i think he's got bigoted views. I think as racist views. I don't know if that makes him racist because he's friendly black people. What as a professional when you were in when you are targeting antagonizing black people like him or somebody else tweeted something to the effect of what if asia owner in the george zimmerman That was a joke dog like. That's that's not a good representation of ring magazine then on top of the terrible fucking right so we can just take. This differ defend here. Because he's terrible writer so you gotta call people out like this. There's a ton of especially when you try to diversify the space which is always my goal. If you make me feel uncomfortable. I will walk or i will dig my boots in and you have a problem because about see this do is gonna be a problem isamu punched in the face which you gotta check them over which you gotta say now out here now you can say all these things on social media you can say like he calls black people in all say that black people were lives matter racist cool sarachan on social media. You will see me which is going to say now. So that's it. I got a cheque. Ain't got a punchline in no physical altercation. I see how bold you off real for see. What's but ultimately out again. I'm gonna ring chooses to keep them employed. That's their decision. But i won't associate myself with somebody like that box writers. I made that point very clear on twitter. I'm out that's it. I'm out i'm gone in you. Know i can't talk about the internal internal conversations going on but they know how i feel about this and it's up to them if y'all value me being a part of this cool if not cool either way. I don't care. 'cause i don't need none of this shit. It's not that serious seriously. I don't get invited to shit like that anyway. So it's not like like oh boxing writers association. Yeah never got invite They champion hired. You know inducting him though. Maybe my invite got lost in the mail at a at a little place. No snow looks place. Espn no big deal. It's not an invite you to apply from applying for shit. You have to apply for in. You know it depends on how you feel. Get the vote for the hall of fame in all of this stuff would have you know you you get there. There are perks. Come on with but when you're champion somebody who's done. Has this type of behavior on social media again. I'm not saying for him. The job i'm going to say on that being same diseases that are not because of this political views because he's a tag analyzing black people on social media. That's not professional. That's it. I don't care if he votes for trump. I don't care just don't come to me was vote for trump maga- there. We got a problem that have used. You shut the fuck up. Yeah i'm looking at his tweets. I grew up neighborhoods. Most of my black friends called me the n word all the time. I use that word in my mouth but no more congrats in. Yeah i don't like what a stupid shit Talking openly black lives matter black panthers racist groups to something about making a cuckold death match on annoy. Miss the context firmenich jokes. Now he's funny at the expense of minorities since on. Lord isn't black. His mother was black. he's mellado Fucking a lot of ways but again these are the people in society like those us came to yourself. You're making a point of antagonizing us. I just wanna say today. Love to see like i see during the time. Walk up to drain be like you know what trait you ain't black. Try right it's so i. I know people ballsy man. We live in a weird space. People are ballsy enough about russian. Yes yes we could. We could clear the air here. You guys as conversations have to be had sometimes hopefully put your thinking cap on in these conversations. You know make a difference may change but when we come back talk pro wrestling. That's what we're here for eight. W can the talks are gonna miss. "That's a difficult grade anyway Oh yeah oetken great don't know what's going to happen and how much to do but but our favorite while glunz favorite website teachers pay teachers this is back into the discourse because I guess you're going to have to set this up there was a survey okay so I am teaching this course for university level students that are about to teach so the right now they're doing either their student teaching actually some of them have teaching jobs are on a special license when Minnesota we call it a variance and so basically finish up their their courses and taking this technology class now throughout the nation there's kind of like there was this this week and just happened this past week and where each day they were GonNa do the slow chat for pre service teachers so it's great activity a great practice right each day there was a question that the teachers had to answer and one of the days the question was hey so what is your what are some of your favorites sites or resources to go to your go-to resources or sites you know I for materials etc whatever might be overwhelmingly and I mean we're talking about hundreds and hundreds of pre service teachers on on this chat the two things that came up were instagram and teachers is pay teachers and mainly as the place where you're seeking out their resources so it's it's the it's the thing that's it's already they already have the fever the teacher teachers fever breath if I say hey I have to teach a unit on etc with because someone in my in my department told me to do is like okay so where am I going to come up with ideas about how how make an approach this whatever might be there like there's no approach could teachers pay teachers it's already done for site Gross so girls Ed I don't know much about pinterest so I can't be a cads destroy pinter's and I know that for elementary Teachers there is a huge movement that happens on Pinterest I Lotta through was there and I actually think that those are intertwined Mike this is a kind of what I've seen the kind of what I got grossed out by Instagram are sorry sorry Pinterest is you would click on a thing to look at something and then it was linked to the right to the teachers look for their in the store eighty nine and I have heard dollar ninety nine and so it's it it just it's a conversation that I'm going to be having with my incoming teachers I forgot to try to remain neutral just do it and we indoctrinate them get them is going to be very I just wanted to talk about like okay so what could be the pros and cons of of basically going to you know what's a business you know this is a business that's that's a CBS resources out there even though it might be the highest rated resource of but this one thing what could be some of the negatives as far as we can go there we can at least have a conversation about it because my goodness and the other reason why even came up in this whole entire thing I wanted to talk about is this this a guy this teacher Paul rich wrote this article and it's it's all of the thoughts that I have all of the arguments that I've had with like you add like Michael Montero ed all of these other people that have had with but put in a super eloquent way in a blog post that he wrote basically called the problem with teachers pay teachers and it's very eloquently put together it was just written here in August a highly recommend that will make sure we leaked I actually WanNa have Paul on the show because I want him to talk us through just kind of not only this this part of this view of his but my goodness just seeing some of the that he's doing it as classes at talking about his thought processes backwards design and how important it is for him to make sure that when he creates something it's for the students that are sitting in front of him not for the masses and that's really what teachers pay teachers you put something together that could be used for the masses in so what is that actually me and he does a really good job of explaining why that might not be the best thing in the world so again it's my it's my all my passionate topic about you know how a grosses me out but I think it's a great conversation to have and hopefully we can get pollen the show sometime soon to be able to continue this conversation because I don't think that are that we should all that should be the first place we look to it might be a place that earns you end up going to I it should be the first one no I mean you're speaking to one of the parts in the middle that I think is the most profound at least the one that that resonated with me the most about it being mindless about it being a crutch for teachers to lean on so they don't have to think about what they're doing and how they're gonNa do it they just oh I'm going to do a unit on community let's go search community on teachers pay teachers and find the best looking you know thing on teachers pay teachers for community and it's like I have twenty bucks let's do it and then they download it and then they take they take the files and they put them on their Google drive and then they download them at school the next morning and they print them off on the printer and it's like hey guys I have this whole unit on community and all that I had to do is pay fifteen bucks for twenty bucks for it and I didn't have to do a damn thing I understand that and here's the punchline isn't that awesome Huffy but as far as the discourse about a time crunch you don't have enough time to Blah Blah Blah whatever might be but I mean honestly if that happens once in a blue moon and use it for example to be able to come up with one specific topic whatever might be ed but at least you please make sure you buy you really go through it to a lot of mindful of the resources you're buying that's all because they pay for it are using that damn thing they're going to put it out there they're going to use it's like you can't do that you gotta you gotta vet the stuff and then sometimes aww ideas I'm going to remix this and put it in my own what fits my students what fits be and then this is what amount action going to present you know you know that that is is is something completely different you know where you're getting the ideas and you're coming up so then you're going to put it out there just make sure you don't remix it in his cell back on teachers pay teachers this is so this is the this is the part of this section I suck up to my wife okay is absolutely on K. I'm GonNa make sure I listened to your podcast every week now and then tell you all the ways that you're wrong Oh she doesn't do that all the time she's also going to get mad at me for saying just what I just said there but hi Cheryl Hi Cheryl Cheryl is a kindergarten teacher and Cheryl has spent thousands of hours making her own serials doing her own things on her cricket cutting out things finding like clip art and stuff to do to do her own you know things for art and stuff like that since we have stuff all in like boxes and bins and binders worth of stuff that she's created that she just doesn't want to throw away because you never when you're GonNa WanNa you know get those news again she also buys stuff from teachers pay teachers I mean we have two kids she has a husband that works five jobs and travels for for his crazy guy main job you know and we're busy we're busy busy busy busy I don't get on her are both teachers pay teachers and she'll she'll say this I know she'll say to me as soon as she hears this but like she really is thoughtful about what she buys and why she buys it and whether she can do a better job making the thing herself your if if it's literally the thing that she was going to make but she can pay someone a dollar and she doesn't have to spend the money money at the dollar store to buy the materials and then the seven to ten hours to to produce it if she can buy all that for like a couple bucks mean that's time is worth things to people and I am fully supportive of Cheryl Buying these materials and I think that you would be to I am thinking though that Cheryl is probably inevitable WANNA put words in her mouth but when she purchases these things it's too who it's like you just called it materials right I would distinguish between materials which would be the supplementary things that you need in order to do X Y and Z and I know an ad or the difference would be just the damn curriculum and you're going damn or slugger you of this map it didn't create the map itself but I created everything about you know I think that thinking that's exactly how Cheryl and action may be many people are using it it's just that if you reach out and say that this is going to be where you're GONNA get your come back we're going to be joined by another passionate creator we'll be joined by the host of the.

"The annual air guitar World Championship in who it cranks up there today the world's Diego Lopez has the story it's got a lot of what you'd expect while jumping energetic strumming and hands racing up and down invisible guitar neck that's mean Moline shredding to the song TNT diet by Michael Montero Malina is an air guitar world champion himself it's so amazing thing that's gone from we'll do in their bedrooms one minute performance are set to music guitar world championships is the biggest adrenaline rush of all time movie says it's a mind blowing type of performance so you are backstage and they're about to throw you out there in front of ninety thousand people and outside in this town square off watery and the people are going nuts they have a huge stage set up with lights going everywhere and smoke and big TV screens on the whole thing is live streamed on the internet so how did you hear guitar become a global thing in the first place it started out as a kind of somewhat local competition although they had competitors from other countries so they kind of jokingly called it the world air guitar championships bird McDaniel is an ethnomusicologist at Northeastern University he served as a judge at this year's national if guitar championship here in the US the competition has gradually gained momentum there was a publication of a documentary called air guitar nation and there is also a memoir that an American air guitarist road called to err is human and those really catalyze the US air guitar scene but they also kind of gave credibility to this international practice and while all this sounds like just a good time the organizers of the air guitar championships wanted to be about more than just rocking out this year they have a symposium for climate change your world peace for example and they're making that part of the official weekend's activities for air guitarists from all over the world to emphasize the importance of climate change concerns on a global perspective well that's nice but Marco if you'll excuse me I have some practicing to do for next year's World Championship for.

"So that's the number one element that I was tell people if you're gonna use something, make sure that it still has the element of fun in it that you have a blink by you haven't the ruined. That's bad part the play. Exactly, right. Mike that you haven't ruined. That's because then that sours that than for everybody else. So you wanna make sure you know, know what you're doing, but there's so much information out there about how to do it. There's lesson plans. There's all this things that highly encourage other teachers to to take the leap in at least try it at a very, you know, at a low level which would be like had a gamification kind of elements in your classes, which would be a kind of like Michael Montero. Describe. CBS than push yourself to to then say, okay, can I actually add games whether they'd be physical board games because you can use those two. They don't have to video games. We've seen tons of people using different adapting board games to fit into different things into the classroom, and there's some amazing examples of that too. So just kind of like being willing number one to go to do it than doing some background research at then being able to go implemented and take the risk. Board games are making a comeback, right? I mean, there are some pretty legit board crazy thing. So I predict that you're gonna see a lot of these same game base teachers that are individual games. A lot of them are also into board games and and I think you're gonna see, you know a bit of a renaissance on board games in the classroom, but not just playing, you know, commercial board games, but even like things like making your own board games. I, I've had this vision in my head for for years of getting a hold of a bunch of three d. printers, and then having kids create their own pieces in their own tools in their own items for a board game and making the board game themselves. We have that technology now, and I think it'd be that technology, longtime. I think that was a project that I worked on in like second grade. Well, not mistake, but you know what I'm saying? Like to make yearly grainy printing to take it and make plastic figures and stuff would be. I mean, it'd be RAD. I can't get out. Definitely definitely. How how do we adapt war hammer to education. One judge had at one fourteen one fourteen a draw the other two overruled in one fifteen one thirteen for Cannella wants a majority decision. The new middleweight champion now. Again, I didn't see the fight. So I'm going to need your help here. Eight five five three two three four NBC eight five five three two three four NBC. How did you have at scored do think it was another robbery? Was it a fair decision for Condello Alvarez, the majority of boxing writers and people on Twitter in going by the websites who were doing round by round analysis had triple g winning the fight. So again, I didn't see it. I can't give an educated guess, the one thing I do know though, is HBO had Cannella winning eight rounds to four so, but we can't ever take anything. They say seriously when it comes to judging a fight because HBO and they brought their broadcast team. They always cheerlead for their. House spider. And the house fighter, of course, and the fighter that HBO desperately wanted to win for money and ratings is canal Alvarez. So I think we can throw out the HBO scorecard because they can't ever be taken seriously and have no credibility. But as far as the rest, we've got some Canelo votes coming in. But the majority of people here had triple g wedding. So coming up in the last segment of the show, Michael Montero from Ontario Montero on boxing will be joining us to give his analysis on who he thought won the fight. Steve Kim, a friend of the show here had very very close fight. Most people saying it's very difficult rounds to score who landed the harder cleaner shots. Interesting. Interesting. And it's interesting how boxing scoring has changed over the years. And you know, when that all started I can pinpoint the exact same day. I think it was April sixth that the day that fight happened nineteen eighty-seven. Boxing, forever changed that night and boxing scoring forever. Changed that night. That was the night was Leonard came out of retirement to fight Marvin Hagler and Marvin had good. That night was the victim of one of the worst decisions I've ever seen in boxing history. I mean, I felt so bad for Marvin there get robbed against Leonard with all the hard work. You put in throughout the years. He wasn't an Olympic guy. Wasn't highly promoted when he turned professional had to do things the hard way eh promoters, working against him. Had the powers that be in boxing working against him as entire career, and it culminated by getting robbed, and what should have been his greatest moment. A win over Sugar Ray, Leonard. And that was the night before that point and the rules of boxing said then and they say now, this is how you score a professional boxing match who is the effective aggressor, and who and who lands the harder cleaner punches. And aggressive, and I hear these idiots on television. The the these guys announcing the fight saying, well, he was the aggressor. He won the fight aggression has nothing to do with winning a fight. If you're coming forward, and you're the aggressor, and you're not landing. It gets you zero points at least it's student. It's effective aggressive look at the rules of scoring effective aggressive. You have to be coming forward. And you have to be doing something if you're throwing more socks coming forward. But you're not landing and your opponent. Makes you miss and counters and gives out of there. He wins the round at least he should. So who lands the harder cleaner punches and who's the effective aggressor? Now, I thought in the first triple g clearly one on both counts and got robbed when they call. It a draw. But that night April sixth nineteen eighty-seven Hagner, Leonard. That was the night where a guy who ran and slapped in hardly touched the opponent. The entire night will somehow awarded a decision and I love cigarette Leonard, I think he's one of the great fighters of all time, but he ran he slapped and every single flurry. He threw if you stop it and put it on slow MO if you watched it on replay, everything was on hecklers gloves are on his arms. He never did him. And hagler. Of course, did all the serious damage in the fight Heglig a guy who always cut remember even with his easy wins. His is it'd be swelled up you'd get a cut. He didn't have a Mark on him after that Leonard, right? Which shows you how many times he got hit that that was disgraceful this. If. Now, the first canal triple g fight wasn't disgraceful about. It was a competitive fight. I thought triple g one, but it wasn't the worst decision I've ever seen. So I'm looking forward to seeing the rematch. But and I've said this before tripled Z, I think is is the Marvin Hagler this new generation. He can't catch a break in Las Vegas. The powers that be working against him HBO working against him. The people who make the decisions and boxing, and the people who decide for the money goes. You know, he's kind of an outsider from Kazakhstan canal Alvarez Alvarez's draw. He's the guy who brings the more pay per view money in. Promoted by Oscar de LA Hoya a hero in boxing. Yeah. He just can't catch a break. He's he's the Marvin Hagler of this generation. Of course, I can't wait to see this fight and give you my opinion on it. But we'll have Mike Monteiro on coming up later. And hopefully, some other people who were there to give their two cents it tastes with NBC sports writer, sportswriter dot com. Broadcasting from the big bid barbecue studio. Tickets seven six days. San Antonio sports station. K K. Radio station. You're NBC sports radio update stocks now, it's all over in Las Vegas and Canelo. Alvarez is the new middleweight champion by majority decision. One fourteen one fourteen bra, but the other two judges overrule one fifteen one thirteen twice. So it's an ELO the new middleweight champion t mobile in Las Vegas. Let's get to the college football scoreboard. Alabama number one in the country, sixty two to seven over all this Ohio State, forty two twenty eight over TCU Jerry rolled in Dallas, Texas, all over USC thirty seven to fourteen Washington up twenty one seven over Utah. Three minutes to go in the third quarter. Clemson thirty eight seven over Georgia, Southern Georgia forty nine seven over middle Tennessee, Oklahoma, thirty seven twenty-seven over Iowa State. Wisconsin loses all upset by BYU twenty four twenty one LSU on a last second field goal. Twenty to twenty one over Auburn Notre Dame twenty two to seventeen over Vanderbilt. It was Stanford thirty to ten over UC. Davis stays Smith's NBC. Sports radio. This NFL season fantail has more ways to win than ever before. And phantoms got a new two called guru to help you pick your lineup. So you can make smarter picks and feel more confident going into game day just start by picking any player and let guru guide you through the rest.
