I've been down on the Cowboys because I don't think you could just flip a switch. But you know what? Think you can flip a switch Somewhat, even though Brady's played a little bit. Dac is not pray played because of injuries. Zeke is not place preseason stuff. I know well, that that's why I think it's the it's Yes, obviously, Tampa Bay's got all starters returning Cowboys are going to have a great offense. They got to score a lot, and they gotta help. No Hype for 2021 Cowboys without Dak
"News this week is on the way boys hype video that came out after the Superbowl and it's like any other video. It's Cool at times corny at times and probably doesn't need to exist. But if you missed it, you didn't miss much. Here's just a sampling of the audio from it to start a team built on tradition that tradition lasted tenacity in our fiber has that means ignore the critics embrace the love but most importantly in order to win we have to work. Let's go. Okay and you know, you see various highlights of the Cowboys and I mean, it's corny right kids start school like cool nice history trophies Emmitt Smith Michael Irvin cool, then it's like we got a work I just in sports. I mean Don't tell you what the labor show me the baby, you know, I don't care that you're like everybody's working. Everybody's working. Everybody's trying to get better. Right the way you show that is on the field now I get it try to create content and make videos MOBA. It's just corny. The big issue is Dak Prescott it the protectors Dak Prescott is not in the video. It says next season starts now hashtag Dallas Cowboys hashtag Kelly station blah blah blah blah. There's no Dak Prescott. So you're telling me you're you made a hype video for the 2021 season and it does include your quarterback. There's no hype for a season without a quarterback. Let's just be clear there. No hype for season without a quarterback. So there's really no video. No, hype no nothing even have a quarterback. So like, you know, I mean some people have taken this to be like, oh contract negotiations Pub song Bad Blood, you know Derek Eagleton who runs the Cowboys be Department. You know he tweeted about it. He says this was simply an oversight that should have been caught and corrected by us. Anyone who's making it seem like Cowboys decision-makers use social media videos to make statements doesn't understand or take the time to understand how it works. Trust me. There's no story here, which I mean that's I get it and it makes sense but it also doesn't make sense. It just makes us sense. It makes no sense that. They made a High video and a bunch of people watched it all work for the Dallas Cowboys and nobody was like, you know, there's I hate to be the this guy but I don't see number four in there at home. He's pretty visible player very much the news had an injury this year. I mean, maybe they just pulled, you know, maybe they're trying to pull highlights in the end of the season. I don't I mean I'm not suggesting. Like that, this is a shot at Dak or it's a you know, it's it's a it's on contract negotiations. I just don't think this could be an oversight. Like I don't know how else to say it. I don't think it it's I just I don't know. It's just a it's not a set like I get that it's not vindictive and it's not I I totally think that that's true. I just don't understand. How it's possible that you could work for the Dallas Cowboys and watch that and there's lots of people that had to watch that video before it's made public and be like, there's no Dak in there. Somebody had to say something. I'm up buying. Nobody said anything. So and if you can't Here's a thought. Let's say we can he's under contract. He's not he's out of the country with the Cowboys. So we can't we can't include him that might be the reason it's perfect. Probably the reason the don't do a home video

U. now Willie Taggart is that exact is that F. A. U. lane Kiffin just laughed Thagard has had success at that level of the job perhaps Thagard can do great things with Michael Irvin junior but I find it really interesting that so many star athletes children just don't live up to their father or their mother's success rate because you would think the stars aligned for those kids to be better think about it genetically they are getting the genetics of dad who played in the NFL as a pro football hall of Famer or NBA hall of Famer what have you and also all the resources needed and all the connections needed for the best training and coaching along the way so everything that Michael Irvin didn't have when he was growing up and crack addled Miami in the nineteen seventies and eighties his son did have to deal with his son gets to avoid all of the potential pitfalls have all of this coaching and resources has the connections to get recruited to the right schools with the right coaching staffs Michael Irvin you would think would be able to put his sign in the best position to succeed saying we think that this program would work for you or as Michael Irvin growing up probably had no guidance like that it's fairly amazing that Michael Irvin could be a pro football hall of Famer and his son could barely get time until he goes to FAA you but I think it just goes to show what a difficult road you can do for people I do believe that there is a real value in facing obstacles and needing to figure out a way to overcome the set obstacles and not having everything prepared for you you know this goes back to whether our society coddled young people too much especially in sports participation trophy generation et cetera but it's not just that Michael Irvin probably had a hunger a desire that is it possible for his child to have because let's face it is Kate has everything and he had nothing and this was his path that motivation is an amazing motivation but also when your children have obstacles are way you F. obstacles no matter how old you are when you learn to work through them it gives you a.

Oh yeah had to be something there. Let me tell you what we tell you. What Michael Bennett was? Just just got here. Just got a pair of slippers in a cup of coffee and he was the one jumping up in the locker room. Making statements are John at Albany is the sense you just got your slippers in a couple of calls. Lee You jus- guy. You know what that would have been like. I could have say. Say say. We're in the locker room and somebody just got here. And they try to Stub Charles. Haley says sequoias down. I Save Charles Alia. Some of those guys can knowing y'all Was in that locker room. Dion Sanders no way you to Michael Bidding and I love Michael. Bennett would stepped up so I absolutely. I think there's some issues there. Now that's a lot about personality too. You know when when team started jailing together. It's a lot about personalities. A lot about our we spent any time together talking about where we're trying to go and then those things are shoe up on a football field is like okay if you are a leader of a football team and I. You're building those reports nut relationship. Then you talked to me so absolutely. I believe that was a deficit in that direction with the Dallas cowboys that I hope they D- they fixed all right before we let you go because your era of Dallas Cowboys. Football was my favorite because there were so many dynamic personalities the work ethic the approach to what you guys do you and I had the opportunity to sit down and talk for a few zeo events In front of a group and learned so much about you and I did want to Marcus. Wareing found out some amazing stuff about him. One of my favorite stories is when you shift your son off when he was talking about living that life at wanting to play ball. I think the fans will love this because I think it speaks to who you are because for all your success and how lighthearted your teammates talked about you both on and off the field you put in the work and you try to instill that in your kids so if you could share the story of shipping your own son off was like know. I talked to my son and I asked. My son was here in Dallas. Meekly press. Would I school in Dallas. You need things. Us catching a lot of passes. They set the record for most passes in a game. Like twenty two passes in a game and all of that site put them aside. I said sound. What is it you want to do in life that would do you? WanNa do is I want to play in the NFL. Surreal you said. Yeah I said okay. So what do you own a pack? Pack back is a why I said you gotta get out. What do you mean I saw? Let's say clanging. Nfl is not about a skill. Set everybody to run everybody jump everybody gets you know it comes down to matching the hunger of the do across from you. You got a matter. Hobart in every play each in every day I said. How can you lashed hunger of those guys when they're playing for life? They're playing to live in a house. You get a house. You're living in this twenty thousand square foot thing manager. I go pack your bags. You gotta get out. I sent him to live with my nephew. Florida whose product top trainer in Florida and. It was so funny because eleven is little. You Know Small Apartment House it. He called me too. I have this. Tv with this big old thing on the back yard regular TV. He's got pretty. You Got Group clydes I gotTa turn it with what I say. Yes I said now. Now you prepare yourself for life in the NFL. When he was here I would come home. Many girls all out in out by the pool all laying out by the trump. They had all in the theater and watch and move A. What the hell is this a hard your work to get? You can't have it now and expect to reach to teacher. I have as the lead anybody come by the house. He's more. Nobody's GonNa let anybody come by here. I said. Now you're working on a Korea now back you're you you don't want people to see you live like that so you work art. Make sure you get your all now. Things are right abyss but I always talk about this. You know we love our kids as well as we should. Sometimes we want. We always want to give them better than we. Sometimes the best thing we can give them. Jane is our struggle. Because that's what made us who we are and we're keeping that away from him so I wanted to make sure best. I can't give him my struggle. I honestly Michael. You're not GonNa make that God that granddaughter of Your Struggle. I see she's got you just wrapped it around your little girls. "As they get ready for the first season of Mike McCarthy is the head coach of the team Michael David Smith is gonna join us in two hours one of things you know I may talk about a story that he wrote yesterday based upon an appearance by Michael Irvin on E. S. P. N. we've all been trying to figure out why it is that the Texans cut the cord on one of the best receivers in football the Andre Hopkins and got so little in return D. Andre Hopkins it hasn't been finalized yet because this procedure for conducting physicals is a little bit convoluted this year because the player can't go to the team facility his new team's facility and the doctors from his new team can't go to him it's got to be a local neutral or physician who does these exams but when it does go through assuming it does go through de Andre Hopkins to the cardinals the cardinal said running back David Johnson I got they couldn't wait to get rid of ten million dollars fully guaranteed issue and he's not their starting running back Kenyan Drake is cardinals also sent a second round pick and a fourth round pick went from Arizona to Houston next year and a fourth round pick went from Houston to Arizona this year and the problem is that when the Texans did this deal there was no effort made to explain why it just happened and since I talked about this yesterday as it relates to the very important PR realities for any football organization other than the patriots because bill ballot check is one of the super bowls you can do whatever the hell he wants and for guys who have worked with bill ballot check the biggest danger is adopting that same attitude of I'll do what I want I do not well when you haven't won because if you don't have a very keen eye toward PR before you have one perception becomes reality and the reality is that if you lose these bad PR moments become the thing that fans media and all of my ownership point to when the gears start turning their brains about whether it's time to make a change sell sell that because Michael Irvin on ESPN yesterday saying that he spoke to Hopkins and then at one point in the relationship between Hopkins and bill o'brien bill o'brien called the Andre Hopkins aside for a meeting and said to him the last time I had to have a meeting like this it was with Aaron Hernandez that blew my mind that he would even bring that up Hopkins told urban I've never been in any trouble I don't know why he would equate me with Aaron Hernandez again this is Hopkins to Irvine and Irvine sharing that information on air all right also claims that bill o'brien told the Andre Hopkins that o'brien doesn't like it Hopkins has his baby Mamas around sometimes and from there I think the relationship just went bad Berman said now when was this when was this I'd love to know when this meeting was see this is one of the dangers of having former players act like journalists and I know that anytime I said Ahlul big J. J. school I go to journalism school but I know what I'll tell you what I've been doing this long enough that I've learned a thing or two and early on I probably was is incomplete in my questioning is Michael Irvin would have been you got to have that natural curiosity can't just be I had a conversation with this guy here's what he told me well when was this that's the first question when when when was this meeting when because you know if it was five years ago how the hell have you stayed there this long why did you sign a new contract with the team why where it traded earlier if the meeting was you know in December then then it makes sense I was told last year that bill o'brien wanted to trade the Andre Hopkins but former GM Brian gaine wouldn't let him and there are some other moments in the overall timeline of the Andre Hopkins time with the Texans that you can point to we had that awkward hold out I think was twenty sixteen we showed up for camp and then he laughed and he finally got his contract the following year and then in twenty seventeen the bombing near comments about the inmates running the prison from the notorious meeting between owners and players about the national anthem controversy in somebody recorded it in his comments got out and it was a big mess for the Texans deandre Hopkins walked out of practice like did that moment did that incident was or something said and done there was that when o'brien and Hopkins had had a a moment I don't know I don't know and you know the reality is urban's it attributing this to Hopkins Hopkins goes to Twitter once this becomes a thing and Hopkins says that is being blown out of proportion way out of proportion to be accurate as I've said before I enjoyed an improv my time with the Texans I have the utmost respect for coach o'brien and that will not change now I'm ready to play for the cardinals the outlook my rule of thumb you tomorrow from about the phrase up most respect I think that that is kind of indirect code for I really don't have any respect it's kind of a say I'll be out all I have the utmost respect I feel like that's a forced not that it's sarcastic I just feel like it's a box checking phrase that gets used all the time regardless of how the person really feels all I've got the utmost respect for this person I don't really like because the last thing I want right now is some public fight with this person even though I'd like to punch him in the face now there's another layer to this because and then I got too many windows open I'm trying to find something that I came across earlier today and here it is Arizona Republic easy central dot com jaelen strong former cardinals nope former Texans receiver took to Twitter yesterday in the aftermath of the Michael Irvin comments and I thought our rooms on first take you don't get up early jaelen strong re tweeted a story regarding Michael Irvin's comments based on his conversation with the Andre Hopkins and jaelen strong said this on Twitter this is sue bill o'brien is your thought it was my fault I wasn't seeing the field in Houston the man simply didn't like me because I was a product of our environment performance means nothing he wasted my first three years alternately ring my NFL career I never knew how to kiss **** I think that's a shrug emoji there's different shrug emote Jeez some the shrug is more obvious than others you can see the arms in the shrub others you just see like the body like it's a cop what were those things like Fisher price with this Fisher brought this is lucky L. B. old like me to know what the Fisher price figure was it was just like this little plug had a head on it and it didn't have arms this emoji of the shrug it's like a Fisher price figure with like two little flaps up at the top that are supposed to be the shrug anyway that's what jaelen strong had to say at look does it surprise anyone that bill o'brien's got a reputation for being a little yeah yeah usually usually you know he Hey he says what he believes he runs the show now really runs the show he's the GM as well as funny we had a story last night about the Steelers plans for the draft in light of the code nineteen procedures can't the Steelers are planning to trim their draft room from twenty five down to ten because the recommendation from the white house's don't have more than ten people in one room fine and somebody responded by saying I won't be a problem in Houston there's only one in the draft for at any of the bigger picture is regardless of what Hopkins said to Michael Irvin regardless of whether or not Irvin got it right regardless of whether or not Hopkins thought that Irving would go on ESPN and blab about it the bottom line is you got one guy in Houston who's running the show and you need someone in the organization who can be the counter weight who can be V. the Hey maybe we should consider this instead type voice what's got the only was to bill ballot check what Nick Caserio has been to bill ballot check bill Belichick runs the show in New England but he's got a voice there they can talk him out of doing things that may be he would otherwise do and I'm telling you Jackie stir B. is not bad guy in Houston there are people around the league who look at Jackie's to be's rise and they say what in the hell is going on here and it undermines the credibility of the organization and the organization and maybe this is where and I will disappear our function with this bill o'brien with this Easter B. or who but you can't react to this by leaking to Edward did this had nothing to do with the relationship between Hopkins and o'brien this was about Hopkins warning eighteen to twenty million a year and nothing more in the relationship was fine see this is what should have been put out there on Monday right after the deal was announced you have to seize control of this narrative or the narrative seize control of you and now it's too late to say everything's fine between Hopkins and Brian this was only about Hopkins wanting more money and frankly if Hopkins wants eighteen to twenty million and the Texans are resisting to the point where they're going to trade one of the best receivers in football that's going to create some friction how can you say the relationship is fine between manager and employee one employee wants so much money the manager can't and won't pay him and has to give them up even though in his heart of hearts he'd like to keep it let's assume it's true that everything's fine everything's great everything is hunky dory between o'brien and Hopkins if Hopkins wants eighteen to twenty million a year and a Brian doesn't think he's worth it that necessarily creates a pressure point the relationship and if it ends in Hopkins being traded it's definitely an issue in the relationship you can say well we have the utmost respect for each other but only at some level you're pissed off you want this relationship to continue it can't continue because the guy wants to much money and you don't think he's worth it and they can say well we have to pay to Shawn Watson we have to pay lower Madonsela to fix up the guy was worth eighteen to twenty million per year they pay an eighteen to twenty million per year instead they hot potato them to the Arizona Cardinals so the the my my my point is this it's too late for the Texans try to put the toothpaste back in the two Michael Irvin jumped on the tube with both feet yesterday and out came the toothpaste and it's all over the place and no matter how hard Hopkins or Brian or anyone else tries to scrape it up this is what's out there and it's not changing.

"Has the easier access to the receivers who are in trouble they like talking he's got relationship because he's already lived it because Michael Irvin is the guy who was going through the court houses a champion many years ago and you know in a fur and a fedora as he makes his way to some sort of criminal proceeding he really has access to these guys where they give him some honesty all we had heard from de Andre Hopkins is that he felt sensational leaving Houston we didn't have any of those details and just got I didn't think it was possible that bill o'brien could look less wise than he did in simply making the trade but that is a real bad leadership breach that you are trying to connect with your player and that's some of the language you're using it's like you have no connection points to your player if what you're doing is Aaron Hernandez and baby mama stuff and then you're just turning around and trading him without you know testing the market in a way that you know that the Andre Hopkins would have brought you something but like any of us don't you think that any of us would have been able to get more for de Andre Hopkins by calling around and bill o'brien did I'm not even kidding yeah hundred percent it's all of it's inexcusable if what Michael Irvin said is is indeed accurate and true that is that is inexcusable obviously and shocking and surprising and why they need a GM there so the coach doesn't have to have conversations like that when he's trading a player getting rid of a player that could be the GM job to have those conversations it should not be left to bill o'brien to have to have meaningful conversations when he appears to be incapable of it on the other part from an on the field standpoint yeah like then it is inexcusable for a man to run a football team and have one of the three best wide receivers in the NFL and trade him in his prime by the way and trade him for that little when any team would have offered more than what they got for the services of the Andre Hopkins it's inexcusable to have that guy running your football franchise deandre Hopkins went an entire season without dropping a pass a guy who's being thrown to that often like you can you can make the argument I think it's him and Larry fitzgerald right like Larry doesn't Larry fitz Gerald that isn't there some stat about him that he's got more tackles than he does drops in his career like when you think of hands in that league you think of those two guys above all other guys and the idea it is the coach's job I've I've told you this before like I I think the baseball manager should actually be named baseball middle manager like it shouldn't even be just manager it should be middle managers what the baseball manager should be named and in the case of bill o'brien who's now you know he's got the power of that organization he's got the power to trade the idea that you can't find a place to connect with the talent like that when it is your job to make sure that the best most talented people that you have the your an ally to them and that you're insulting them and that you are offending them and that they are then saying when they get out of there that it is sensational to be away from you and you've got an Arizona cardinal over here talking about this was armed robbery that we get this guy for so little I just he caught a break yesterday that all this Tom Brady stuff he's gonna break for two days that all this Tom Brady stuff has been happening because all of the sports media would be sitting here flabbergasted and how it is that you can be this kind of incompetent in terms of losing a talent of that level fitzgerald had as of last year twenty nine career drops in thirty seven career tackles that's a funny that's a funny stat yeah it really is dead then here's the other quick thing Adams I'm sorry but you know your maybe your most talented player Hopkins was probably second your most talented player is to Shawn Watson and you just talk one of the best wide receivers in football away from your most talented player deshaun Watson like there give me a whole bunch of people that are happy with bill o'brien right now inside that organization is in saying what he did it's it's okay to trade him you just have to get back the Odell Beckham hall like you just you can't be getting big David Johnson who's not even in his prime the way de Andre Hopkins is in his prime and is a bad contract on top of that you take on all the money like that eighty eight it was just it was stupefying like stupefying if you're told me that you could get David Johnson for not very much at all given how disposable running backs are like you know what I would have been not surprised at all if David Johnson had been traded and they couldn't get very much back for him the idea that they could get the Andre Hopkins back for him is more shocking than the op de Andre Hopkins actually being traded the idea that the Arizona Cardinals conflict David Johnson into a top three wide receiver is more surprising than that I want to go to Chris here though because he's scouring the internet and you guys enjoy making fun of me there's a Bollywood poster we put it on Twitter at Libertad show the dude looks just like me he's holding a gun he's in an action movie and we've been searching for names for that action movie at hash tag Dan action what do you have there Chris missions coming in here some not so good some some good some so bad that they're good we got mission in pandan we've got a full X. It looked like they were about to take a two to one lead about four minutes into the third period. But then Boston challenged, and they called it off sides on taes which turned out to be right. So it wiped away the clutter ball goal. And then the Bruins scored a couple of times and beat the islanders. They finally lost and cold Chuck came back to New Jersey. The whole thing was so bizarre. Going to go into Russia and all of that it started with when they gave him a fifteen year contract. In the league said, wait a second. You can't do that your circumstances the cap, and then they changed. It was a ten year contract, and they were going to penalize the devils a draft pick or two and then couple years. Anymore? I want to go to Russia. I'm dawn, and then he leaves for five years or whatever it is. And he decides hey, I wanna come back now and he signs with the LA kings and he returned last night. And I've read that the islanders may actually target him as a trade acquisition before the trade deadline. Wow. They need a little bit of help on the power play. That's for sure they struggled again last night. They've been in a funk with that. Despite all the weddings. How would that be of Kovalchuk ends up back in the area? And I said try to interview the big name guys. They heavy hitters, and they did the the people you interviewed last night were Dan you ask we deliver. We interviewed both backup quarterback Sean menu of the Rams exclusive interview. Because no one else was talking. And we got the punter Ryan Allen of the patriots. Also, not being in everybody. Anybody and nail those interviews. Okay. Get a media luminaries like Tom current and Ross Tucker were also talked to on the side. Yeah. Just socially. We didn't tape that. We just we were pretty lame. I'll tell you this kid Ryan Allen to punter for the patriots. Yeah. He's McAfee two point. Oh, he's like a young, bro. Good hair. Could talk all day, you're gonna love this guy. Now, I love Sean manage the backup quarterback for the Rams because he's a big fan of the show. And I think most of his wardrobe is the shirts that we have sent him for the Dan Patrick show. I'm not rooting for anything to happen to Jared Goff in a negative way. Because Jared Goff is a fan of the show. But if Sean Manion would happen to win the game. It'd be are Super Bowl, I'm guessing. And I think can you did you talk to him about doing a guarantee we have an exclusive interview with backup quarterback, Sean that we're gonna roll later in the show is going to shake things. Okay. Tom Brady, it keeping in mind that you've already gun long interviews with some of these guys who would you want to sit down with most at this Super Bowl. I guess Belot shack because I've never had that opportunity. Would you be afraid that he stole all you the whole time? Well, no, if he agreed to sit down for an hour, then he's agreeing to open up and talk. So I would say are you actually writing this down? Why why are you writing it down? My computer is having problems the computer guys out back preparing food, and he couldn't come help me this morning. So I'm all hardcopy today. Here the poll question all now. Is there anybody in the studio audience, Susan an IT person who could help us? Nobody. All right. I okay. Next poll question. There were ten thousand fans there last night, which NFL off season event would use least want to attend a combine opening night as it is now called or media night, the Pro Bowl or the draft all of which have double digits thousand fans coming to which one is the lamest you. Well, the Pro Bowl got eight million viewers, which is amazing. So I, but I would never want to go to the Pro Bowl or watch it. Do you watch it at all? It was on accident as I'm flipping through. I was looking for golf, and then I found that. And then I thought okay, let me just look, and it was raining, and then I actually felt bad for these guys that they had to play a football game that nobody cared about. They didn't want to be there. Yes. Paul. But that's just football deprivation the weekend. You have football football football, nothing. You can put a Georgia. Inter-squad scrimmage game on it. I'd tune in on that weekend. I mean anything, but they're not going to change the Pro Bowl in my point was if if you're going to have the Pro Bowl guaranteed contracts of the players 'cause juju Smith Schuster. They thought that he might have had a knee injury. And I think he joins us tomorrow. Fritzy? He's smart. Okay. Thank you. Thursday. Okay. Thank you Todd. But but I keep saying do something about it. Or just get rid of it. I'm all in favor of a third-place go. I still think a third place game would be fun because if you put enough money out there than the players will play. So if you had the saints again, and they were playing and they just played on Sunday ear at the side of the Super Bowl. That'd be fun. I think is he Kansas City against the saints third-place finish there. Seems something weird Todd was mentioning when they try and tackle lightly. It almost seems more dangerous to them like they are awkward. Well, you can't sort of cradle. Andrew luck. I felt like they were swabbing him. You know, like I'm just going to lay down here. I'll Lakewood Rodney Harrison took me out, and he grabbed me, right? As about hit the ground. I don't think he I you know, what Rodney Harrison hit you harder than anybody hit. Andrew lock. No question. I wonder if we have the video of Rodney Harrison hitting mclovin I wanted to thank you for that. By the way, that really appreciated that having all of fame level safety. Take me out for no reason. But you're you and paulie polio is wants to like yesterday. Tony Priscilla was in here. So that that's a big, man. And paulie wanted to try to block him. And then I said, okay, go ahead. Try to block him, and you are hurting today. Yeah. He grabbed me in the shoulder areas, and there's fingerprint bruises on bowl shoulders, but you get all fired up with the cameras on you know, like Reverend your own data's on night. Tried to tackle him about ten years ago. What are you doing that? This right. You know, I mean buses coming in here in about fifteen minutes or so Jones in a run a few people over it's been years. Do you know it's the ten year anniversary. I believe when I raised him in the forty yard. Dash I have it. It's Super Bowl forty three before the cardinal Steelers Super Bowl, right? Yeah. And we raised and he gave me a seven yard lead. And I ended up beating him by ten I knew it was time for Jerome Bettis to retire. When I was beating him in a forty yard. Dash like the Steelers didn't have to tell him. You know, I think it's time for you to retire. You just let that old man featuring a forty yard dash and we're out on the field. And thank God. We had witnesses. There is Tony Dungy was there. Bob Costas was there, and they witness this. And it was like, oh, my God bus would happen to you. Yes. But you about to call the game which way how do you how could you run right now that was that was pre game that was the Saturday before the Super Bowl we had a rehearsal in. So bus kept telling me, I said, I can outrun you. And then he kept saying no, you can't sit out. And so we we just got to the field. And I said I'll race you across the field. I said, but you gotta give me a little bit of a head start. So he did. And then all of a sudden I kept running, and I was Forrest Gump like I just kept running. And I didn't stop and embassy said that he had pulled up or there was something, you know, there was some lame excuse, and I'm sure we'll still have that lame excuse, but that was ten years ago. I think at the Super Bowl in Tampa. Tom Brady, I thought there was a good exchange. You know, the interesting part is when you see like Bella check gets together with Sean McVeigh. And then they'll talk and everybody can hear what they're saying. And then when they go and talk to each other, privately that's what I wanna hear and Brady did that with Jared Goff. I is talking in front of the media. And then all of a sudden, they go, you know, whatever they're saying behind the scenes, that's the fun part. But here is Tom Brady on the first question. I have a nominee for the single weirdest thing about this show. Okay. I don't know what the other nominees are. What else would you suggest in terms of nominations for weirdest thing about the show because I am now going to nominate officially that the weirdest thing about this show that thing that is hard for me to understand every time. It happens is when ROY Bellamy who used to be a long Shormon. Starts to rail against Rick DP, tros contracts. He's been doing it across many years. Since VA tro signed it in two thousand and six he signed a fifteen year deal and ROY every day comes in here. Complaining about the the Ricky Joe this, Dan, Dan, it changed everything about the sport. I mean, you don't realize this. Changed everything. Him. They're paying him. Don't give you start about the trashes. Don't start about leaving Atlanta. He's still mad at the jets moved to the coyotes and the jets are back in the league. It's just it's strange again. He was a longshoreman. Do you think hockey's got a lot of? Longshoremen in the audience. I dunno masking. I mean, the Neo calendars. That's what they are. Did it for college logo? It was a longshoreman. You guys interested in that breaking bad movie? His that's yes. As that been something that when has that worked most successfully television show turned into a movie and wear. Does this rank in terms? I think if in pop culture my wrong, when I say the movies that two people would that people would like to see turned into, you know, instead of sex in the city, it would be breaking bad and the sopranos, right? The untouchables was television show before they turned into the movie with Kevin Costner. I enjoyed that movie. What other choices would you guys select here because I think people Vince Gilligan the writer for breaking bed is going to make a breaking bad movie. Breaking bad is considered among the best television shows. Ever made. I've heard from you. Who've been yelling at me from for two days about. Giving up on better call Saul. I I will give it another chance. I'm sorry to offended you really yelled at you. People were breaking bad fans. Say that better call Saul is you know, in terms of Omagh is that it works. Very that. It works very well mission impossible. Okay. So it's nice touchable 's in mission impossible. So we haven't done it. Well, since the fifties while the fugitive is well, many people know that Adam Stanley was pretty solid Wayne's world kinda counts ninety rock ninth. Roxbury, Scooby doo don't care. What anybody says these joking not at the Roxbury still slaps? It's an interesting conversation have because what would be the what would be the things in television that you would want turned into a movie like there aren't many shows that grab people that way. Like, I love Ozark that could be a good movie. It's only two seasons in. But here's the thing with breaking bed. He set the bar so high like there's gonna be a lot of pressure for him to to deliver something that we saw in the TV series. I'm not certain he can clips that it's pretty hard. It's pretty hard to do it. After the hunger is dissipated after you've had the success. It is hard to recreate the artistic fever that you had when you were younger before the success. So I they do run the risk of soiling. What is a pretty impeccable original process? Project stunt, this Schwab would make one heck of a movie. About that..

"Be TV every Sunday on NFL game day. Game here. Take it or leave it. So I'm gonna read you you tell me whether you're taking coal we add it to Amari Cooper will make Cowboys fans. Forget about Dez Bryant. Leave it. I agree with that. That's going to fall. I will not disrespect. Let's Brian like that. He's a bad, man. And he did some great things. Here will be missed like he can't do this style. Bryant was live receiver Cooper about to be a top five eighty. I personally I personally guys personally believe if Brian came out publicly and said, I wanna be back here. I could have done things differently. I've learned to ever of my ways, I think the Dallas Cowboys would be wise to give him another chance. In the city of that. Yeah. The problem with that either. With it either. Okay. Guys, next new problem with Jack Prescott will have a better career than markets. Mario. You take back. I tell you. Well, right. I don't like what I'm saying. For Marcus mariota in Tennessee. He's only thrown like three touchdowns on the year. I need to see more from him. I've seen it from before. I just need to disagree are Yoda looks like a little bigger of a bus. But that's because he was taken second overall. But I wouldn't say at this moment. Dax nuture looks brighter. And Mario does the blue chip or out of college push come to shove, I would take. I don't think either gonna be a bus. But I think that will end up having. Is over there. And he's trying to make his bones by with defense. He's not not that you have officer minded coach there. Hey, let's not showing McVay over over in with the Rams. This is. Able going great mills going for games. Last one here can the Cowboys still win the NFC east. Matt. Taking Amaury is was by far the most talented receiver on the market. They got a they got an old line. They got running back. And then the only one thing to stay and I'll leave the last word to Mike urban. There is no way in hell. The cowboy the winning the NFC eight. Now winning and they're not making the playoffs. Very and all the to do right now is not listening to all of this. And don't worry about the east just went to night, baby. Let's take you out of one. And they're worry about the next one. Turn back. You will see

"Being behind. Maker champion Damer Michael urban with us Michael I want to get your thoughts on a couple of games from the weekend. Let's start with the big one. Aaron Rodgers Tom Brady out there in Foxborough. Obviously Brady getting the best of what did you learn from that game from both teams what you know, what I saw what I what I knew, you know, Tom Brady is degraded because of his dating when the game we are so much of an Rogers. He does so much all those platforms throws and all the things that he does the move football Brady two three five or seven step drops in his teammates do the rest. It's an incredible credible job. And I know people talk a lot about those those patriots. We don't know how blessed we are to live in the same time that these two Bella taken Brady are living and giving all we can are we doing are we doing an injustice to drew Brees by consistently mentioning Amer Rogers and. Tom Brady and not mentioning drew Brees enough. He's only all time leading pass in NFL. We don't give them all the credit. He deserves and I always measurement distance travel. When you talk about the distance. He has traveled, you know, not coming out of produce getting hurt insane. The ego and Miami saying not going going to New Orleans and winning the Super Bowl and look like he's on the path to try to get another one right now. Absolutely. We don't give him credit that he deserved. But he is like you say Stephen pay Michael one. I wanna go back to what you said about the off platform throws with Rogers steady. Eddie with Tom Brady. It reminds me a little bit about the debate in your day between Emmett and Barry Sanders. Right. We saw with our eyeballs Aaron Rogers and Barry Sanders, we never seen anything like that. But and it was steady as she goes. But he's also on a better team with a better lives. Same thing with Brady. How do you? How do you swear that you say that because you know, what the results, you know, the results now, I just think steady wins. Get you to yards. It gives you four yards and dynamic role in that bitter give but he's not going to give you the minus three out of minus forty at Barry Sanders, gives you also. And Tom Brady's the same exact way. You know, he's not going to give you the exciting thing. But it's just naked away a nickel away. It's an incredible thing to watch with somebody can matriculate the ball down the field the way he does consistently. So until I tell people to by James Caan and later on bail, and all of those let me tell you something stat. So one thing stats one thing. Cold cold went into your vein is another when you are a dead. I in the middle of pressure. Like Tom Brady is that's the difference between good and go to this transition to love you Belfour quick second. And I'm interested in getting your perspective from this from this point, forget his own field experts. We know how bad the brother is when he's on the let me bell special. But when you hear the offense of lineman..

"That's how passionate you are about this. Something does Brian gotta look himself in a mirror in this regard is wrong is I think the Dallas Cowboys were to screw him over the same way. They did tell ons, here's the reality and I asked you this question new, I asked you this question John with Dallas Cowboys ever traded, Michael Irvin never happen. You know why? Because he was to non ass- with the Cowboys and he was the non ass- doing everything it took to win. Now, Michael Irvin will walk off the field and practice, and he would tell y'all call me back when you're ready to win, because winning means you get the poll. But that was due that went on a field and backed it up. And that's what does Brian is going to have to do, and you tell you does Brian, you really wanna go back to the Dallas Cowboys. You want me to tell you how to do it. I'm gonna tell you how. You pick up the phone. And you call the NFL network. Not that you need to. 'cause you probably got these numbers anyway, but a case you don't have it. You ask for the number for time Dion Sanders. You ask for the number, Michael Irvin the play, make I take it back. You don't even need to call it. NFL number. You call me. I got numbers. Call me. Call me. We'll all be this. I got their numbers for you. Guy got to knows right here. They know they know. They don't mind me give you permission. They'll Bobby giving you their number. I wanna give it to anybody, but I give it to you dads. I got their numbers. And you ask them to a scorch you Jerry Jones office. Michael Irvin and the play make and our promise you if you do that and you say the right things in their presence, I'm willing to bet my check. Jerry Jones would bring you back. I'm willing to bet my check on it at eight. Say ESPN is the number to call up nex. The great tip cut Jan major league baseball analyst and insider extraordinary coming on with us to preview these playoffs Yankees as tonight at Yankee Stadium. Dammit, Tim conscient-..
Michael Irvin agrees with Pro Football Hall of Fame not acknowledging Terrell Owens during enshrinement weekend
"Talk about him as if he's not even they're doing the right thing we can't spend just the moment for all these other guys talking about the guy is not here you cannot do that take am deals doing his own thing wherever he's doing his own thing and god bless them but i knew when they mentioned it as a class but why should you still those other guys moment think about the numbers from terrell owens jc we're talking about he ranks eighth all time receptions second in receiving yards third in receiving touchdowns one hundred fifty three planning for all these franchises the forty niners philadelphian dallas buffalo in cincinnati fifteen year career in the hall of fame with so many greats in the same hall of fame classes bryner lacquer and randy moss and ray lewis but yet he's wants to do his own thing but he's the only one and that's the thing that's just so bothersome to me like you so that's what you want to be known for if you're used to be known as a great wide receiver that was accepting the yellow jacket at the places having a male to you yeah spot on it look michael irvin this is part of the chorus fry the approach that i thought mike lurvin the great wide receiver at a dallas thought this position he'd take you remember his speech was back ten years ago just over ten years ago when he was inducted i believe it was two thousand seven as passionate as michael irvin was and you could tell appreciated the depth the gravity of the honor so this is a guy that feels like this is something that's so monumental not only should you should you appear but you should be overly gracious terrell at designer which is absolutely what owens is not but again this is who terrell owens is this is how hope remembered in his final chapter of spotlight and this is the way it should go but yeah to those guys at that class that you mentioned why should the hall of fame draw more spotlight and attention to this disc coming for teo i think the proper move for the hall of fame is to say he's part of the class mentioned his name and keep it.
Former Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant upset at how he was cut
"Twenty minutes after the hour pro football talk live dez bryant still looking for his next nfl destination michael irvin the cowboys hall of famer said something about this yesterday about the garrett guys and that he's talked to desert about the garrett guys and desert complained about the garrett guys in the past that was the phrase that dez bryant used friday when speaking to nfl network about why he thinks he got cut the jason garrett guys on the team the guys wearing a c on their jersey didn't like him and wanted him out look i think that that's just human nature anytime something happens that we personally don't want to happen it's hard for us to say it's because of something i did it's it's human nature to say somebody else was out to get me somebody else was wrong i did everything i was supposed to do somebody else set me up to fail so i don't know how much stock i put in that i mean the bottom line is chris the guys upset and he's looking for a way to get back at the cowboys and one way he's going to try to get back with the cowboys he told one zero five three the fan in dallas he wants to play for the new york giants and i'm sure he's attracted to the giants because they play the cowboys twice a year they're high profile games they're competing directly with the cowboys they can keep the cowboys out of the playoffs and dez bryant has himself convinced that he can go there and not be the guy he would clearly be supporting player in new york and he seems like he's okay with it i don't know if he'll be okay with it weakened and week out but for now i think his emotion is driving him to say he wants to play for the giants even if the giants may not want him.
