"Sunny and breezy with a high of eighty three it's eighty seven in Tempe right now whether brought you by Howard air I thank you Lynn on Arizona's news station KTAR news Arizona's news station KTAR news ninety two three FM where news and entertainment hang out it's the Gators and jobs all Michael instruments hanging out with me today president trump just finished kind of a little news conference he was touring the CDC and I've we'll talk about this in about ten minutes he's been awful on what he said how he said it misinformation it looks like he doesn't give a crap and today he was very angry at this kind of press conference and he was trying to will please some of the audio he was trying to argue his point about how great he's done when it comes to the corona virus well do we have a million tests out there ready to go now do we do are there more than six cities in the United States that have the test now so so he's trying to make that argument because he knows he has he's done a bad job and he's even pass it all depends so what we'll have that it listen I don't wanna hear from the president or the V. P. I wanna hear from doctors and nurses put them out let them do it I totally agree but I I do think it's I do think it's interesting that you know trump is trying to make the case at the CDC that he's doing a great job that's not why you're there you're there to give us an update into the doctors in front not to argue your case but we know it listen I get by the proposition I get behind the president on the economy and the and the and the stock market not the last couple weeks but you know all that stuff but boy when a crisis hits he's awful all right so by the way are Arizona senator cures and cinema four oh five in studio so Monica there is a a school principal and the school principal high school our they are having the problem and you know we we have a problem with with that in certain places every year what people wear is it too much what's allowed what's not allowed so this Louisiana principal says you know what maybe I should be proactive and I should approve all the dresses that the girls are by not should she decided she had sent out a text message to all the students and parents telling them that for the girls mostly the girls ran for the boys who have off campus dates are they have to send her a picture of them in the dress right so that she can approve it and then if she approves it then they can buy the dress and the reality is they can buy the dress that they want they just might not be able to wear it to prop so the high school principal is a female doctor camp Pendleton I wonder how many kids are in the school I don't know what or how much how many text messages she gets on our plant it's going to be a lot because the text message it's certainly stirred things up some are calling the policy invasive and not necessary see when I first heard it you know I I wondered okay is the principal male or female if it if it's male well then you're then you're you're like it's a creepy factor K. like sex offender status yeah yeah exactly right why do you want a picture of teenage girls no but now that we know it's a female okay it's not as creepy but is it too invasive is it really necessary do you think and I've and I've done this on one occasion you know I went prom dress shopping with our with our daughter if you use your junior year you know she went in and out in and out put the drop prom dress on and you know just tell you wedding dress shop well I'm gonna stay out of the okay I'll let my wife do that one but but you know what she cannot one dress and I said no you know what why why was the it was too revealing okay and you know you wouldn't even have to tax the principle that dress not gonna happen okay I said it before my wife did but so you know I know what kind of goes into the prom dresses and you know I just I don't do we do we really have that big of a problem with kids wearing something that they shouldn't yes I totally get it that's always been the problem when we were kids that was the problem too but you know you're not allowed to buy the dress until you could it's like it's like you try it on you'll like it you text the principal you make sure you wait for ever in the store because who knows the prince will give you the movies and you don't get a text back you're waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting and your parents are getting ticked off and then the principal texture back insists that's appropriate then you buy it it's pretty silly well I yeah I can see that it's silly enough I was a girl going to this high school I probably hated as well but there must be some history at the school with challenges about prom dresses so much so that the president or the president the principal has decided they need to do something now I would support this as long as Dr Pendleton who is the principal has a very laid out very clear dress code regarding links regarding what the cleavage area that mid area you know those kind of things say and when she sees the dresses she's not saying yes or no on anything other than at length and do you know whether it's revealing or not because otherwise I just would be unfair here's what does the principal St doctor camp Pendleton let's see as you begin shopping for your attire please make sure you do not purchase any clothes that are sheer or revealing in any manner also make sure we also make sure bushy Brooks I know she changed so we do not see excess make sure we see not make sure we see not see a very good it sounds like not see but if it was not in into our excess cleavage your skin spot cleavage wrong that's wonderful how do you spell cleavage now she's got the right to purchase enough that I will need you to send me a picture of you in the outfit with your name and grade so you got a hold up like a sign once I approve the outfit you may purchase it the approved outfit is the only one you will be allowed to wear to prom okay it she's also trying to cut off any problems because if you show up in that dress wasn't approved she's going to have to send you home so what send them home well I think you know whose fault it is it's the parents fault for letting your bio well this little bit share or revealing in any manner well what does she think shoulders being revealed what about strapless is that too much arm you know what about a mini dress you know what about the the one year and then around the middle I mean it's just this is not very clear and this is where I have a problem all right so is school principals is getting texts of the girls in the prom dresses that's not creepy all right Arizona has its third case of the corona virus we're gonna discuss that next plus can you use Tito's vodka as a replacement for hand sanitizer the Gaels a chat show with Monica the show is here if both sides agree that they both want what's best you can start there with mutual respect and with mutual respect you can agree to disagree on issues and that's where you drop the Mike Broomhead mornings GTA or news ninety three FM and the KTAR news after so are you ready to take on a new healthier lifestyle well let me tell you about red.

"Year we're gonna talk about the number one issue facing law enforcement this year and twenty twenty I bet it's better to him it feels like it was just yesterday that he talked to you it was just yesterday you think so yeah it could be it wasn't just yesterday when you talk to me I'll get you only get you once a week yeah that's about as much as you can that would chads here you're not gonna give me anymore I will swing by on this year don't you guys so the breaking story today comes from Arizona Attorney General mark Burnett it she said with the Phoenix city council is doing is other breaking the law they're breaking the Arizona constitution when it comes to uber and lift and a ride Cher fees okay so sell the CC was a councilman at the evil Phenix city council voted against this yep what he told us was this council's not gonna change their mind they gonna continue along this will probably go to court and the city actually issued a statement and they say we're confident the Arizona Supreme Court will properly interpret the law of Arizona and they stand by there are no here we go with the Supreme Court all right joining us now KCA our legal expert monocle instruct Monica this is going to the Supreme Court are you surprised I'm a little surprised quite honestly I didn't think that something that seems so simple really wait wait trigger so many legal arguments and head up to the Supreme Court but one thing I wanted to point out is that the AG's office I'm going through their record right now I haven't read all the way through it by its conclusion says the AG's office concludes that the ordinance mainly violate the Arizona constitution that would not say that it absolutely does it says that may violate and so they're asking really from the Arizona Supreme Court to decide if it does or not so in the ages of ten yard as you know you heard they believe that it does but they can't be the final answer so this will be something that'll be battled out of court because the city respondents said look we really think it's constitutional so the Supreme Court needs to the fighting quite honestly guys you know I don't like that see that speed oppose you know I don't like it at all right the city has some great arguments which are what eighteen which what yeah well I I I told units on the legal may legally speaking what is that they're saying what everybody every business that goes to the airport that makes money the airports you get a cut out because they are using the airport property so all the stores that they're charging rent every vendor that's inside is charged money so anybody who uses I know right now the current or the Roach bait money on the airport now should the airport a cut of something it's not only that but with over at last with you and lance find that contract to get the permit they already I pay the fee interesting so do you think that you mention that word may the Attorney General it in there in his opinion may it may violate the constitution with the city Phoenix wants to do do you think that one simple word gave the city council and the city lawyers I guess really at this point gave them that they felt like they had enough wiggle room to go ahead and just act let's plow forward let's see what happens I don't know if they really took that word made very seriously because the rest of the AG's report really indicates that the AG believes that it's breaking the law I think this was just the AG's way of saying what we're leaving it up to the Supreme Court to decide although we have this believe we're not fade bottom line what the court should deal eight even then a slip of that of that thought process but I don't think this city thinks anything about it I think the city believes the evil city council right get okay absolutely I think they believe this is absolutely constitutional like I said they're attorney has some really good arguments and their legal arguments are not necessarily common sense arguments are a lot of legal parts to it yeah I don't think they really care what the AG says I don't think they care either South Sea Sears said that's probably the case they've already proven that okay with with with the city residents thank now they I think they were he came he came over there and he said that he doesn't think the city council cares what we say so there you go they don't care what we think they probably don't care with the aging process thanks but they will have to care what the Supreme Court says that you can't go any further than that Michael instruments joining us if you had a look in your crystal ball who wins this I don't know no no yeah I really don't know because I think the arguments are so strong on each side that it takes greater than mine there are going to have to figure out also no so if you can't look in the crystal ball can you look in your you know your shelf full of leather bound legal books and and tell us if you were representing the city as an attorney would you say yeah go ahead let's see what happens yeah I would wow absolutely because they do have some strong arguments and I think they have enough strong arguments to go ahead and take it to the court in good faith and say this is what we believe regardless of what we're calling it whether it's fifty tax or surcharge that doesn't matter what matters is what is really happening it doesn't matter that day that anybody is giving this four dollars and eventually five dollars it's it's the substance of what it is and so I think they both I think they're taking the right path normally I don't like it to go to court I like people to settle and resolve things but I think this is with those issues that that the two parties have dug their shields then and so what we as a people with that passage of proposition one twenty six with no new fees or taxes and how we don't like this and we need a court to finally say alright this is how it is this is what that we need a Supreme Court for all right Monica Lindstrom thank you for joining us when when I right by what more could a denim on all this at the event the city council is hoping that they get that stated the Supreme Court will say until we decide this we're not allowed to do it that way they don't get actually find it lose those tens of millions of dollars in outside funding good point yeah I coming up next more the breaking story it looks like it's going to be Arizona's Attorney General against the evil Phenix city council the.

"Is news station in GTA are ninety two three SM wait a second that thing is over not necessarily so she killed her boyfriend in two thousand eight was convicted in twenty thirteen and went away in twenty fifteen exactly and if so the thing is they are trying to appeal this case Jody Aires's lawyers are saying you know what we want to overturn this murder conviction we we believe that she did not get a fair trial and it all comes down to one Martinez he slowly to her he was inappropriate in the court room and because of that area see there should just be such got free or at least given a new trial unbelievable so today here's the news the Arizona court of appeals heard the arguments for an hour all right and Michael instrumented Gatos legal Lexpert was in the courtroom hi Monica how are you today I'm good guys I just can't stop thinking it's too bad that we didn't execute her a few years ago it's too bad she didn't get the death penalty we never have to deal with this again right well I right that's a strange way to put it but actually we would be dealing with it because if she had got the death penalty than there are mandatory appeals and this would go on even longer than what's going on right now okay what happened in the courtroom today so what happened is that with the oral argument friend of the court of appeals about his conviction of whether it should be reversed or not and it was almost completely based on the actions of want Martinez during the trial the way he acted in the court room the way he didn't listen to the judge the way he treated witnesses including areas on the stand and just to the overall ethical violation of the court rules which the judges picked up on an album about quite often the doc what happened there was a half an hour argument for the defense side and there was a half an hour argument for the state side and that was that the judges walked out that that the ruling would be coming in due course which means we might hear tomorrow we might not here for nine months Monica what what Martinez was in a nice guy during the trial it's not supposed to be a nice guy I mean what did he do wrong right and that no one expects him to be a nice guy but what the defense argument was that the way that he treated that the court room the way that he was dishonest in the court room the way he wasn't listening to the judge's orders when she would say sustained which means you can't ask that question again you would continue to ask that question again the way he basically acted that like an actor on stage instead of a prosecutor Alpert justice the bed defense said all of those things that he did add up to a be in an unfair trial for Jodie areas because the jury was a witness to everything that he did and it put in their mind more so than just the overwhelming evidence of guilt that Jodi arias is guilty it's a big story one of the big four four Monica Lindstrom joins us she was at the Arizona court of appeals Jodi areas unbelievably seeking to overturn her a murder conviction so when you talk talk about one Martinez is like is this exchange like what you're talking about in being unprofessional and prosecutorial misconduct I I probably which is that we're here's a clip you will need to for whatever reason you start right no I was just like a I didn't say that either so you do like either I.

"Really sad story here in the valley a twenty six year old man named Reuben Foxy and on September eleventh. so earlier this month he was rushed to the hospital and it was a drug overdose. and so Rubin was in the hospital and they considered him deceased on September fifteenth. and a death certificate was even issue but the family says hang on a minute. we know that he's hooked up to all these monitors we know that there are machines keeping him alive the hospital the doctors say he is brain dead. he is also a registered organ donor and due to that status the family says we're starting to feel pressure that the hospital the doctors they're coming out saying we got to take him off. of a you know of all the all the machine life support but they said we want the organs obviously right yeah right but the families like no we gonna give him a chance right see by this but he's been directly declared brain dead right so so what was what was happening was there was supposed to be this big lawsuit yeah both sides are going to sue each other over this person now he's been removed from life support and is now officially dead and I'm sure that they you know with the organs and all that stuff but it it begs the question okay you're an organ donor in the state of Arizona who who's the one that says pull the plug the hospital or your family all right let's let's bring in Monica Lindstrom acting Gatos legal Lexpert Monica I if I have something on the back of my car I've signed over something that said yes I want to donate my body or my organs to science when who has the final say on if if I'm on life support systems well you're the only person that has really the final say to provoke your donor status so on my license it says that I am a donor I'm the only one that can revoke that or someone else can revoke it at my insistence or at my direction if I can't talk or if I can't find something once I am incapacitated once I am dead I can no longer revoke that so that is still valid so whether I'm on life support whether the family doesn't want me to donate are not that donor recognition or that selection is valid and not when the donor network here in Arizona can step in and try to obtain those organs through no fault of its own so this story I don't want it to heat the organ donor network as the bad guys here because it was confirmed that day he had elected to be a donor not once but twice so maybe what he renewed his license he put on there that he was a donor again or maybe he wrote something out but either way he was a daughter now that's a. separate issue that life support when it comes to life support and making the decisions about whether someone should stay on life support or not you have to look to see if that person had been held a healthcare directives I a young person likely does no I go under Arizona law then it goes what's called a surrogacy lost so it would go to espouse the doesn't have a spouse then it would go to an adult our parents. he doesn't have the kids go to south he's too young to have an adult kid and then it would go to the pier but the other one they can make the call about life support Michael it's American Gatos legal expert it just seems to me like you know imagine this being a family member you don't want to give up on the family member even though even though you know okay this this person laying in a hospital bed is is brain dead well I explain that too because the family said they saw. as to cut some kind of recognition weather though he was declared brain dead whether they did or the wisest right to see it I I don't know right but I mean if it yeah I guess if you don't have a living will or a trusting your twenty six years old I mean if I'm the family I want to I want to do it I I what I think is best for the kid not I don't want the donor network coming in St okay there's the plug I'm gonna pull it right but the donor network doesn't make the call it was the patient was secured or not the kid I mean he's a young man of course but he was an adult he's the one that made the decision the organ donor network or whoever is taking the organs that dared chest complain with his wishes who are you even though you're the family and you want them who are you to go against his wishes of what he wanted done with his body okay but why do you have to do it right there and then is why is there a time limit on when you have to pull the plug in the end this is sad but when someone is brain dead their body even if it's kept alive through the ventilation and keeping the heart beating the body is still breaking down it it's still dying okay over rate the organs that because you don't have the brain bear to keep everything running the person's brain dead so something's continue to work by Oregon start to break down so there it time is of the essence there's a short period of time there no I understand that it can be really hard for a family to digest this information and now when communication and you know just understanding that these are grieving family members really come into play so that's where the hospital the doctors the donor network Carol Bullard everybody how to cook have to come together to try to help the family through this this is not going to change your mind not Monica about being a donor right and and you know because I know that they're not going to come and take my organs unless they've declared brain dead and it's not going to declare me brain dead just because someone on the other side of town my heart that's not what doctors do okay. Michael instrument can get us legal expert thanks Monica have a great weekend bye guys yeah we're not at all trying to dissuade you from being an organ donor bite it didn't make sense why this why why this group came to the family and said okay it's time in the family said now well we didn't understand that when she declared brain dead your organs and your body can start to. you know they can't you know what we're whatever where no it's magic maybe in a couple of maybe a couple days you can't use that org it's good to know whatever's on a lawyer yeah right yes and you want to be an organ donor great you don't wanna be an organ donor right it's up to you I don't care it's your life I just want to know and now we found out who gets to who pulls the plug in or is the old arbiter over your life I don't want so if if it happens a family member of mine I don't want somebody breathing down my neck right you have to go now right that's uncomfortable with that got to the point of suing each other which is bad yeah which is really bad it's one of the reasons I wanna bring Monica on all right. coming up next. why is the United States military issued a warning about potential threats surrounding the release of the new joker film starting starring Joaquin Phoenix this is a.

"A veteran who served his country in mesa who had his house sold out from under him lot of finger pointing going on the good news is from what we understand the man will get his house back but we're not sure how he's getting his house back because the treasurer's office the Maricopa county attorney's office MCSO will not say exactly what they are going to do and my question is to what about the guy who bought the house legally what does he get out of this well joining us now is Michael interamerican Gatos legal experts so Monica your best gas how do you think this man legally got his house back what was going on yeah I am not sure he got his house back what I've read is that the county attorney's office said that just like we thought the Arizona statute did not authorize any Carroll County official to validate the sale right to the sale they also went through and then it also says that county officials are working with the best attorney to help him keep his home so I haven't got a confirmation yet that he is keeping his home for sure and that of course they're working out procedures to make sure that that happen again so it's possible that the county attorney the treasurer's office in it yes are all working together with the bed in his attorney to try to figure out how are we going to keep you in the home are we going to settle with the guy that or that new owner that bought it or are we going to help you find another home because no one can reverse the sale legally under the statutes right now there's no way to rewind debt now the person that body could say you know what it's it's okay you know what I'll sell it back to the county give me what I paid for and then I'll just go find another place that could happen but it appears that they cannot reverse the sale which is what we talked about yesterday yeah but could they say we can unwind it because now well well because if there was a clerical error and days got mixed up and credit card ways of paying for things got messed up couldn't they go back and legally look at this and say well this house should have never been sold and online the deal well that is not you've got an innocent third party purchaser who did exactly what they were supposed to do an audit that they are the official owner right now right now I don't think I don't think that the county can turn around and tell that purchaser up site we got to take it back because we made a mistake I don't think that can happen and in fact the county attorney said that there's nothing under Arizona law that authorizes the county attorney the treasurer MCSO to invalidate the sale okay tell us would invalidate really means because I can I can see that your your I can see that you can't invalidate the transaction but can you unwind it legally I I don't think so because you have an innocent third party purchaser now they could all try to go to court and asked the judge to say Hey look this is what happened it was a mistake but if that third party says don't care right I this property you can't take it from me there's even though it's it's this sale was based on not correct information or not correct dates the third party could say no I I don't care okay great I didn't know that I didn't do anything wrong I own this property right now I did it legally I purchased it legally you guys screwed up that's your problem the only reason he part well the only reason the purchase went through is because other people screwed up yeah and how that his fault it's not right but doesn't invalidate wooden that invalid help this sale well somebody came to me and say you've got till June thirtieth to pay your bill and then it's June twentieth and what it and they swipe my house away for me here's what I'm doing Sellick monocle interamerican Gatos legal experts joining us I'm soon everybody so if the county attorney's office the treasurer's officials the sheriff's office they're trying to avoid a lawsuit here right I mean that's obvious right right and in the back absolutely file a lawsuit and that the new hot water could pilot a lot Hey Hey look judge to decide who owns this home and that could happen but like the county attorney said right now there's no laws that allow the county attorney the treasure or the sheriff to say we're backing everything up were re why do that because we made a clerical error or is it a mistake so third party you can't have it that here you go this is your house back now that's what the county attorney upset and I like to suit that he knows exactly what he's talking about because he deals with these kinds of situations that these legal issues however if they all decide to go to court then maybe a judge would make a decision that's different that that that but outside of all that I think probably the best Avenue would be for all of them to get together and try to work it out with the third party that purchased the property and now with the statement from MTO said that all the officials are working with the vet to try to help keep his home Michael instrument can get you know it it's very frustrating guys I know it's just one of those legal quandary that it's just the way it is I'm not saying they're not going to change or the parties can't work together to figure it out right there's no mechanism in the law right now that we know about that would do what you want done gave us Michael instrument can get us legal expert the frustrating part is that the NCA basically says we're still working our we've talked to the gentleman he won't say anything we've talked to other people we've gotten different information from different people on whether he has the house back or not so we're just trying to figure out what's the process here and we keep we keep hearing like from you there is no process to unwind or on do and so we thought okay maybe a clerical error let you know if it's due on this day in well I have a legal right to still on my home because you guys sold it with without the right day what you're saying is that contractually the third party guy can say Hey look I did nothing wrong so I'm still gonna take ownership of this house you can't rip up the mortgage or the contract on it just because you got the dates wrong that surprises me too that that that you can actually do that right it's it's everybody has a different position and it's it's confusing and and nobody really knows how do we protect everybody's right here what what do we do to try to resolve it because you can't what the house and house right I can't pull a solid right yeah right so and not splitting the baby so it's really all they can do is work together to try to come up with a solution and I know it's frustrating I know it's sad it's very unfair to the bad because of what happened but hopefully when you've got what are we the fifth largest county in the country the county attorney the county treasurer and the sheriff of the county working together with the veteran and his attorney I'm very very hopeful that they'll figure out a way to get this resolved hopefully it's the third party sell the property back to the county and that they they figure it out from there and maybe they have to write a new procedure or two exception to the lost princess which would have to pull in the legislators and good luck with that yeah but as of right now according to the county attorney there's no mechanism to invalidate which it is assembly read our unwinding all right Michael it's American gave us legal expert thanks Monica hi guys Martha Mauer what do you have for us is there an update on this story you know we're also hearing from our TV partners at ABC fifteen that are also working on the story you know they're now reporting that on Friday is in this morning there was a spokesperson for the Maricopa county treasurer that confirm that he offered to personally buy back the trailer from the investor and also the county officials are meeting to find a different solution that could also include filing for a state of addiction is what they're reporting at this so he would stay in the house and he would get the trailer bought for him it's my salute raise your it could be a solution I get from a partners over at ABC so the treasurer with his own money private money would live in money don't know why not it does say personally buy back the personally by back okay okay that's private money than that yeah money yeah though he does so he doesn't own it yet so again we're we're finding out all these different information over well I don't know what to make make note of it also kinda arguing over well over like specific words does he own it again can he stay there right so right sounds like he doesn't maybe he can stay there for now I mean that shows you that the treasury department below it I wondered why I was so the idea that just tells me that they blew it because you why would you going by yourself because it was you want to help you want to help the guy I don't know I don't I mean your own money now I yeah I just think you what the problem to go away but your fault maybe you own it Hey you Hey listen we are the ones the screw this up because it didn't seem like Maricopa county sheriff Paul pen zone it doesn't seem like they did anything wrong they were just executing right information looks like a hatchery department may have been the ones that were wrong here and if that's the case you know maybe you say how do I get this to go away okay I'll buy with my own money it's nice but then you've got to work that out in the the the the owner of the house has to agree to sell it that's the other part of this too so just because somebody offers to buy it back doesn't even mean that he's going to get it back so I did this story is just such a mast weed I mean it's just so confused right well we'll we'll we'll keep on it trying to figure out is this guy back in his house right right becoming out nexus senator Kerr stints cinema fix America's asylum problem next drive home informed and entertained with making Gaydos on.

you to Baltimore in about a half hour we'll take you to LA and San Francisco right there's something going on and it looks like how do I say this it looks like because I had a nice is not going to have an easy time doing right okay right they they want two thousand I don't they're gonna get it earlier today a former good your teacher was sentenced to twenty years in prison to lifetime terms of probation for molesting a thirteen year old student the sentencing actually mark the end of a sensational case against twenty eight year old brittni Zamora joining us now is Michael instrumen Gatos legal expert about this case hi Monica I got it on Monica she got twenty years before I ask you about that what do you make of this story what stood out for you in terms of that with you know something went through your mind as I am horrified by this story what was what was one of those specific things that that that well being in the army okay yeah or a fine but the fact that her husband main phone calls to the victim's family I I found that extremely I'd inappropriate I can understand why he wanted to try to explain so to speak but I did if I would buy a victim's family receiving that call I would have bet money to crawl through the phone and beat him up I don't blame you so many years she got twenty years she had at least four or five times where she molested this boy she had some other boys looking out and when I say that they were on the look out for like other adults to to kind of walk by and you know if that happens let me know I'm twenty years was that penalty light you know I don't think so and in talking legally of course because I'm here and you know what I think but legally she was looking at it thirteen to twenty seven years for this class you felony which was the actual misconduct with a minor and the presumptive turn it's twenty years so that's middle of the road that judge even had to look at night she was there to unless there were enough reason a pulled down to thirteen or an aggregator so pulled up to twenty seven like I had a prior criminal history or other can make you know things like that pull it up when you look at the range and you look and see twenty eight years older twenty seven I think I twenty years that's a lot of and she won't get out of jail until she's almost fifty years old still never had the opportunity to have a child of her own my doctor and though I doubt it you know what I mean so much now back I think that it was a very harsh but one that was there and it was down the middle of the road Michael instrument can Gators legal expert we're talking about the teacher Britney's amora former good your teacher was sentenced to twenty years and two lifetime terms of probation Monica what does that mean what is to lifetime terms of probation that means that she will always be what she will always have to check in with a probation officer or community supervision alike parole but even when she gets out of prison and she gets out she will always have to check in with someone at a minimum once a month and let's not forget that she does affect the printer for the rest of her life so she has to write has not yet not only was she going to prison for twenty years and make that great years right and your life from a day but she also remember be able to be a teacher again so member be able to be around children again she probably won't ever get a job in government I mean it's like altering and changing which it should be do you think if a male teacher did this to a female student that that male teacher what I got a lot more than twenty years no and the reason why is legally like I said the Rangers thirteen three twenty seven and all things being equal she would be getting money and I believe that the agreement with twenty to twenty seven anyway the whole thing the judge if we get that presumptive term the same thing would have been in place for a man now is she would have gotten thirteen years I would say well wait a minute I think that a man would have gotten more because they would not be no holding down to thirteen and nothing to pull that up to twenty seven so I applaud the county attorney's office and met because they didn't her a lesser sentence because she was female and we've seen on the pad country Monica lynchings joining us Machen Gatos legal expert we're discussing the big guy case today twenty years for Britain's a more are good your teacher sentence for molesting a student her lawyer said this was a new this Monica I have represented Britney's amora for almost sixteen months and I can tell you that she is not a monster she also said that spring is not a predator and this was not between a young child and Britney this was a teenager hi Monica as a lawyer I understand that lawyers jobs are to make sure their client has the best representation or the lightest sentence possible how does this woman with a straight face say that and this is at the end of the sentence this is not during the trial she says she's not a monster okay all right I can understand that how does she blame the thirteen year old and how does she say she's not a predator and she's saying that in court during that conference out the rest comes after after they were sent to I said I don't understand why why she would even comment yeah I I I don't know why she did because I think that it made the defense attorney look bad people and I think that it discussed in people and it has the outrage because thirteen right technically he was eighty juror could be with me thank you turn around and try to explain or justify what it sounds like she's doing whether she has not that's what it sounds like public perception that he was a teenager you know if you're if it doesn't look good it doesn't smell right I know I don't like and I'm not bashing the attorney I just don't understand why I don't need something after that bad because I don't think it's going to help her quiet right that's why sit around and blame the victim now during the sentencing hearing only running to say much she's not a predator he said this is only one teenager when I'm talking about eight year old we're talking about somebody who has hormone thirty raging through the body you know you come up with arguments like that after I probably would not have done the same thing I can't I can't she's all I mean it just is so outrageous you are perpetuating this myth that women should not be taken seriously as predators women should not be taken seriously specially younger women who are semi attractive that all well he's a boy he's hormonal you can't blame her yes it was a pretty our there's always there's also the arguments where the guy well she might be thirteen but she looked like she was eighteen you know right argument doesn't why I can write and making mistakes based on looks like they look older than what they are but in this situation in a press conference afterwards not the best right our teacher in Arizona Britney's a more twenty years in jail molesting a student so Monica the the principal knew about this or was at least told in writing by a few students yeah this is Katie may be going on right Monica do you think the principal should be charged for failing to report the the abuse sooner I think he knew about forty three days before she was arrested I think that he has an obligation to report things that he thinks might even have an iota truthfulness or question ability about it and when you've got comments from a couple students granting even though they're you know twelve and thirteen maybe he got a work I'm kind of prank but he's under yeah the responsibility to protect the students in the school and he absolutely had a responsibility to get that information out immediately I would say within twenty four hours or forty eight hours you know you touch bases with the cops or somebody and talk to them about that so I think the schools very possibly had their liability on its shoulders and let's just be specific as well it's a legal obligation it's not a moral or ethical obligation is a legal obligation that you have eight men out completely right but legally he has an obligation now if he knew without a doubt one hundred percent these guys were pranksters they do crap like that all the time they were out for the teacher then I can understand waiting a little bit longer for an investigation and looking into the thing but in this case it sounds like that wasn't the case so I I think they're going to be able to prove that he should have acted in her modeling for mac and gave us legal expert thanks Monica hi guys so Arizona teacher Britney's amora sentence twenty years in prison molesting a student I think we'll hear more about this even though she's going to jail what will happen with the principal and maybe even the husband to for trying to persuade you think that the self and how they did all that's right that's right they did settle with the husband yeah but what you talk about people enabling this woman here wow Britney some more as husband Daniel and the victim's parents settled a civil lawsuit for an undisclosed amount wow so but the victim's parents are also suing the school yes and the ship because they should yeah I know all right coming up next what do the candidate for Mississippi Mississippi governor refused to be interviewed alone by a female reporter next are Becky Lynn is on Arizona's new station right now.

It looks like two stars and especial astronaut Michael instruments. It looks like at least six stars beta Scorpio is at the left side of a row of stars that represents the head of Scorpius. It's low in the southeast at nightfall above Antares. The scorpions bright orange heart the entire system is about four hundred light years away, and it's probably only a few million years old. The writer of the two stars visible through a telescope is, in fact, a binary on its own, and one of those stars also consists of two stars for total of three the SARS of the close double are the most impressive of the entire system. One of them is about ten times as massive as the sun and about eight thousand. Thousand times brighter. The other is about fifteen times the sun's mass and thirty thousand times its brightness at such great heft. Those stars likely will explode as supernovae the bigger star will go. I sometime in the next few million years. The other point visible through a telescope also consists of three stars one on its own the other two in tight pairing. They're not as impressive as the members of the other type pair, even so one of the may be near the mass required to become a supernova, so bright, busy betas Scorpio.
