"Back to okay. We're back is and i have to get into this typhoon thing so number one. This completely derailed their trip. I think once possibly twice or at least like made them reschedule but our typhoons the same thing as hurricanes but named differently because of their location like whiskey. The defense is based on the medication. So since it's in the pacific it must be typhoon rather than american. That will be more in attentive presente. That's right so i'm telling you now don't trust me on this. I'm no expert on this. That doesn't have anything to do. It lasted okay so speaking of plastic one of the focuses is is micro plastic. So it's not just big you know plastic bags and bottles and stuff that they find. So can you describe to me. Like the complications or the or the dangers of micro-plastics before being micro plastic. It's not hopeless folks so we it starts usually big unless you have like pre-production nureddin that are discarded straight into the ocean coming from container spills but if we think and things of michael ealy and big debris this is by itself already like as art let's say for navigation and then on these big debris you can have like species from japan starting to live on these big pieces and then they travel the north pacific and then they can and up in hawaii in oregon for example with that huge doug with under the Invasive species that made the way through to the west coast of the us so these debris carry a lot of stuff there as our navigation but as the driver in the ocean they start degrading and fragmenting into smarter and smarter pieces due mostly to fatigue edition to the sunlight. That will break down a break. This mastic in two nine. Hundreds of pieces of micro plastic so once the micro plastic is micro plastic. Smile and smarter. It is the more evident burn. It will be for the food. Web meaning than smaller organization would be able to ingest them. So the smartest the the worse it is for the food web for sure and then it's harder to remove it if you want to clean the ocean or clean the beach the smarter. The pieces are the more time consuming. It would be to remove them from the beach so there are many different negative effects. Really that the plastic and even more so for micro plastic. i mean. You're telling me that a fish can have a little bit of plastic as a treat just little bit of micro-plastics it's going to real. Is it really that bad. It just past the plastic. I mean then yourself you. You eat a little bit of plastic for breakfast okay. Maybe maybe you'd be rector digested or maybe even go to but at some point if you're under plastic to eat then there's more plastic than craze in the ocean than your fill your stomach with auto this last week and then you won't be hungry emaar so you'd be like oh echina- he then you can digest it so you basically of starvation that saad yet no when you put it that way. I guess it is pretty sad. I mean this seems like a rubik's cube of problems like i don't even know where to begin solving them like you're talking about how tough it would be to do an ocean cleanup because of the micro-plastics but then i'm also thinking about you know the the complications with us eating seafood for example. And if they are. You know. If if i'm eating fish and that fishes diet is plastic. I'm probably eating plastic right this the most likely it plastic. I believe the part of the plastic that has degraded inside the stomach of fish and go through the membrane and up into flesh of the fish itself. So yeah you you might eat some plasticizers and some very small pieces of fasting that managed to go through the membrane to the flash. I think at this stage. It's really hard to data west. The effect of Passed on on seafood and fish was fake of like ingesting. Or what is it like one the equivalent of one credit of plastic every week. That's what we i mean. Let's light of it so yeah for seafood fish. I mean i'm vegetarian. So i don't eat blended chicken or fish if you wanna be on the same side might as well eat me nutty seafood and fish and it would. It would be better for the environment but if you do better to eat locale good fish so you know you're you're a bit more careful about where you get your fish. Is there any chance that the fish will mutate and become cool or have superpowers or something like that with ingesting. All of this plastic like mike. Change into superfish please. Will they just die. Adapt it'd be wonderful for many generations. I don't know it would take to get there. Okay so that's a. Maybe that sounds like an official. Maybe yeah that. Actually better than i expected to say. I don't think it's gonna happen that day she had to throw in. I don't think that's going to happen. Okay what about the results. I guess like. I mean you you know you said this was kind of a An unprecedented way of studying the plastics pollution in the ocean. So have we. Did we learn something new or was the problem just as bad as we thought. Yeah i believe. I mean in terms of new findings. We asked in analyzing the data science steak sign. We are trying to understand how the plastic that is. Closer to japan is younger the plastic for example in the north pacific garbage patch. So we trying to look at the chemical signature of the plastic so this is ongoing project. Then what we side than. In basically every centers.

"We're due for a little bit of rain. We got that right now. No, no sunshine and today no, no, but the lights are bright in here. Well, no or not, I can barely see you and you're standing five ft, away from on I mean, the people on Twitter you'll be able to tell because when blackened of dollar Captain Hood or here, whether you can see the people here, it's like I can barely see anything. The lights one night one lights out. Let's pointing the other way. Is that one supposed to be going towards the screen over there? I don't know what they're doing. So I had I had them down just a little bit. And there where? The lights? Yeah, it's nice to have lights when you're working. I know it if you were if you were lucky, the old school FM jock playing your bread, they'll be off. Yeah, maybe you've got to create the mood. All I would see is a control board. Yeah, it's a good look, but I don't want yes. You do need to see if I was old school. I'd have to play I'd spend records and you better have some lights on if you're going to drop it read on the track. Now you have a little light on the needle? Yeah, on someone? Never. Yeah, I never I never worked at a place that had never worked at a place and played music. No, you wish I would have. But you're at FM now. Yeah, Yes. Yes, We are on FM 100.3 HD to Yes, you can hear us right there. And Get up this morning. I was almost late. I mean, really late. I'm usually early I got I usually get here around. 7 30. I get her about 7 45 7 late late is now this is actually late 902. Not in radio in my my book. If you're not here at least an hour beforehand. You're not. Yeah, I get there late, but I mean, that's they always talk about our prep because that's what in radio, you know, basically get paid for a certain amount of time on the air and then your property and they say, one hour prep for every one hour on the air. We'll you know someone was asking me the other day. Someone says that you prepare almost two hours for every hour. Um And you know when you're doing talk radio sometimes you do, But I'm getting up this morning and I'm going to set the DVR because The futures game is being played today and it was supposed to be Jake Burger was supposed to be there, but he's playing his Bass club now. Yeah, he's playing for the big club. He's not playing in the futures game. I saw Lloyd Jimenez play in the futures game years ago when he was in the comes minor league system. Um, but it's great watching the futures game and it's not like two o'clock this afternoon. So I set the DVR for that. I set the DVR for the baseball draft, which is actually today. Usually it's on Monday or Tuesday during the week, and I want some of that. It's pretty boring, usually because you don't know any of the guys and the Saxon cut the Cubs have the 21st ever. If you're watching the futures game every year, you'll see right, you'll see, you'll be like, Wait a minute. I remember that name exactly. You'll see some of those. Well, the Fiesta the futures game, You'll see them in the draft, and then years later, you'll see him in the futures game. So that a longer way around all the way around, right, But We'll see if you watch the College World Series. You watch the College World Series, which was out for a month. It seems that maybe a little longer with all the regionals and everything else. Then you'll see those guys get drafted. So I set the DVR for that, But I turned it on and I think I had it on Show time. There was a movie last night getting ready to go to bed. I'm flipping around. Those are what we called Fatal F A. T A L E with Michael Ealy, I think and Hilary Swank. So I got sucked into watching that for a half hour. I said, I got to go to batch like DVR at the end of it. But the channel that was on this morning when I popped out on TV. Iraqi wanted just started. I said, I'm going to call Tyler say I'm not going to make it in. I'll do the show from home. I'm going to watch all Iraqi one. I mean, certain movies you just like I didn't want to leave. It's hard to pull yourself away. Yeah, I know you've seen it. How many times I know. Oh, at least I'm not a guy who season movie 100 Times I've probably seen about 15 or 20. And I'm saying OK, he's going into the pet shop to buy his turtle food, and it's hard to walk away. Even though you know every step of what's going to happen. It's great, and it's before he really talks to Adrian that much and he's talking to her and she's got her head down. And so, man. Don't want to go. I under stay. I got the DVD in the other room. I can always watching. I watched you anytime I want right now with on demand When everything else you can watch any of the Rockies whatever you want, but it's like, oh, The other day, Same thing with Independence Day. You know, they always every station seems to show it. I don't know who's got the rights or if they just gave him to. Everybody has right. They've all they all get a chance to show Independence Day and you know, at the fourth of July And so that's always that's one of those other movies that you don't want to. You don't want to turn off. I said, Put my shoes on, flipped it off. And I said, Okay, we'll have to watch some other time. You mean you turned it off for you gave the finger to the T V. I did both. Okay. Yeah, I was mad. I just gave the finger to the T. V. And then and then turned it off, Actually, literally, and then, um, so, yeah, happen in the car, but and when I'm driving down, I used to have a little One of those little it was an audio recorder. Like a little thing You call for notes and stuff like that, and I used to have it in my car all the time, because that's something that's a tool of the trade when you're going out and getting audio, whether you're in hard news or sports or whatever it seems like you also seems to get you get your best ideas. Either like for a show. I get my best ideas either in the shower or in the car on the way Here I get mine on the more do you is my more thought My wife will ask me every time. What were your more thoughts and it's amazing how your ideas just poppin so as soon as I get here, I come up with four poll questions. And usually we don't have that much. It is polar Pelusa. Once we kind of we got a bunch of we've got. We've got four than Iraq polls, So we got like five different poll questions. But it's that time of year because the all Star is all Star weekend. I guess you'd call it All Star weekend or Because the futures game of the draft and tomorrow's home run Derby and then you've got the game on Tuesday and then the white sacks and Cubs don't resume play until, UM Friday, which I'm sure for Cub fans is fine. For white sacks fans. We can't wait to play the Astros because we can't wait for it. But we do need a little rest. I'm good with the rest. I guess. I guess it doesn't create rust. Yes, rest of rust. That's what they always talk about. And one of the things for the white sacks, they extender winning streak to four. They beat the Orioles. So they right now on this trip, they could go there. Five and three of the nine game trip, the best thing to his six and three I kind of thought when you're going to Detroit, Minnesota and Baltimore should do a little better than that. I was thinking 72, but I'll take six and three. I mean, if you can, if you can win today, if you don't if you don't win today, Yeah, you know, not not quite as good. You know, or road 63. We'll take that, especially against these teams because you've got to start beating the good teams Dallas, Kinkel had said two days ago after his outing, and he says, we got to start you know, because we play the Astros from the All Star break is over. And they thumped us. He goes..

"Yeah, There's a tangible chemistry between you two in this one. That zoo for sure. So here in Chicago. The theaters are closed. The movie here will come out on January, the eighth video on demand. Hopefully, theaters will be opening soon with the vaccine thinks you're looking a little more promising right now, Are you concerned about the You know if people are gonna be comfortable to go back to theaters, and you know things are going to go back to quote normal. I am hopeful. You know, I am hopeful. I want this movie in theaters so bad because Dante Spinotti who shot it, Did you know he imagined he shot it that way like he shot it cinematically, so it would be beautiful on the big screen. And I think every you know most directors who you know directors and DPS, you know they want you to experience it on the big screen, and so they shoot it. They design it. They do everything to make it look really, really amazing on the big screen, and I don't want that element of movie making to go away. And I think as long as we can maintain theatrical releases You know, Yes, movies will probably come into our homes quicker. But if we can maintain theatrical releases, and there are movies that people want to see, I do believe that the demand will be there. I do going to the movies isn't going away. Not yet. Not yet. Yeah. Now, more than ever. It seems like people needed, I think. Yeah, I think people don't like it out of health. Yeah, people are gonna want to be. You know, we watch so many movies with, you know, amongst ourselves and with our families and our kids. It's like to go sit in the theater with people I don't know and and share that kind of communal gas when something happens. I'm looking forward to that. You know, I'm looking forward to getting back to that. That's Michael Ealy. He is the co star of the movie called Fatale Co. Stars with two time Oscar winner Hilary Swank in the movie. We've got some great a list interviews coming up this week on the WGN TV Morning news, including conversation with Carey Mulligan. Who stars in a brand new movie, now called promising young woman, which is it's AH movie about domestic violence and one moments..

"The last half hour we shared our conversation with two time Oscar winner Hilary Swank. And the director of her new movie, Chicago's very own Deon Taylor. Very interesting conversation. Not only about this nor thriller that they do, but I think also very, very interesting. About theaters opening up in the future of whether or not we'll be going back to theaters. What they both had to say was, I thought very, very interesting. We'll post that up on the Web, so you could watch that later. Hillary in this movie stars with Michael Ealy. Been in a whole variety of films, comedies, dramas, just everything. I mean, this is an actor who could do a lot in this movie he plays. Sports agent goes to Vegas with four bachelor party has a one night stand, returns back to his home and wife on whom he's just cheated. And that night. There is a home invasion and the detective who was investigating the home invasion is the woman from the one night stand. And she ain't going away. She's just is not going away. It's very fatal attraction like I don't think it's quite as solid Azaz fatal attraction, but it's still a good movie. I still enjoyed it, and I certainly enjoyed their performances in this movie. And we talked with Hillary and Dion on the zoom. Likewise with Michael, he'll think I'm gonna start calling you Chameleon man because you put Michael Ealy into any kind of genre any kind of role you knock it out of the park E mean, is that your intention when you choose your roles? That might have been the highest compliment I've ever received. Ever genuinely appreciate that. Thank you. Because You know you try. That is kind of the That's the goal, right? Like, you know, you know the actors that I respect growing up and that I still respect to this day are the ones that You might not necessarily be movie stars, but are able to kind of just blend in and just do anything you know, like a Philip Seymour Hoffman or don Sheetal type of actor like those guys, I just I just love them so much. And so that chameleon comment like that is that is Thank you. Thank you. Yeah, that that Z by design. You know what? I'm gonna throw a couple of other names into that mix like a Tom Hanks. I just watched him to a western, which I never saw before a Jimmy Stewart who did comedies and dramas and everything but he CEO I'm And you are you are you are the You Know the guy here, my friend. That's appreciate that. I mean, you know You know, I'm just trying. Tomo. Obviously you want to bring your a game And then when you work with Hilary Swank, you want to try and bring your double a game. Uh, and, you know, I think she's uh, She's phenomenal. She's so intense and she's so like Dialed in that you know you You have no choice but to show up on Bring it. What does that mean to you? When you you know when you go into any movie, really, and you're acting partners in the movie If you're working against the two Time Academy Award winner does that Does that mean something different to you? I think the key is to not be intimidated by it, right. You know, I think accolades can sometimes separate us. And you know, at the end of the day if we're both on a stage and we're both on a set We birth. We both earned the right to be there, and we should act accordingly. Now, none of this was a problem with Hillary. Hillary doesn't act like she's above anything. She's very much a giving actor and very dialed in and very human and normal and it was fantastic to work with her. On Again If I'm not intimidated by you, then I know I'm in a zoo long as I'm giving the space and I could breathe and play. Then, hopefully we we jam well together, and it just becomes like like jazz and a lot of ways, And it just becomes much more fun. Much more fun than anything else..

"My inspiration. Cookies is the Michael Ealy character Is that right? No, I So you know what's interesting, man? It's money. It really is a Midwest thing with me, man. Because you know those eighties and nineties. Oh, genre pictures were just kind of like, prolific in my life and all of them, you know, fail attraction. Basic instinct, You know, body heat, you know, And then you going further back with Hitchcock would you know strangers on a train? It just kind of had that kinetic energy that I love and I'm used to and, you know, obviously, I get to a point as a filmmaker now where I can actually go make something like that. Um, I wanted to present face how and I couldn't think of a better person to do it with them. This beautiful woman is with me right now. Hillary Swank. And when I tell you, I know you know already, but she is incredible in this film, and I'm excited about it. Yeah, absolutely. Hillary. I was surprised that you had never really done one like this before. You've been in so many different genres of films. The idea, and so was I. I was like, when when Dionne said, you know, Can I sit down with you and talk to you about an idea? I was like, Yeah, great. First thing, he said, was like why haven't you done a film like this? It's a no brainer. And I was like, why haven't identified him like this in my 29 year career. And so that in itself was just like, Yeah, I'm gonna You know, I love the story. I love the twist. I love that kind of whodunit factor and also that these characters were all flawed and imperfect human beings just trying to find their way and that it's really just fun. It's fun, right? You know, and I just thought I haven't done that. Course I'm in. Yeah, and you know what else really struck me Hillary with this, As you know, during these crazy times that we're living in. It just completely took my mind off of everything else That's going on in the world. It's like great theater Almost like just so draws you into the story. Yeah, And that's why we've been talking about these people are like, how are you doing during this time? I'm like, Well, you know, like everyone else, it's hard. I mean, I don't have it is harder than most people, but I might have such empathy for those people and just nice to be a storyteller right now and be able to give people an outlet for a couple of hours to escape. Wonder how both of you are feeling about the future of the movies. Right now. In Chicago, the theater's air closed a lot of places around the country. The theater's air closed Dion, I know that you're You want to get people back out into the theater so much so that you said if person bought a ticket, you would give them a ticket..

"So we can. Hello. Testing one to talk about us. They want to Hello? What's going on today? And people will be watching jeopardy. One thing, But yeah, Today's the final day. For Alex Trebek episodes of Jeopardy Now, because of all of the breaking news, they went on yesterday Wednesday and Thursdays, episodes of Jeopardy featuring Alex Trebek were preempted. So what they're going to do over there at the Channel seven. While I You know, I don't usually encourage you to watch other TV stations. You get special dispensation for today. There's plenty of audience for everybody that I guess so they're what they're going to do is run Wednesday's episode. From 1 to 1 30. Then Thursday's episode will run from 1 30 until two and then the very final Alex Trebek episode will run in its regular time slot. At 3 30 today, that's going to seem like a regular episode they you know, what they've done is do a special tribute after the credits at the end of the show, so stay with the show. You know if you're gonna watch it Stay with the show until past the credits. And then there's gonna be a special tribute to Alex Trebek on what will be his final episode since he died last October of pancreatic cancer after Atlanta long and courageous battle that he went through. All right. So before we get to the 30 news, tell us what to watch this weekend besides jeopardy. Well, you know in, you know, I put this together before Everything blew up in Washington the other day. I should have only put comedy scene here. Three Stooges shits Creek. Uh, you know, uh, you know, you named the comedy That's what I should have put in. I've got a couple of those But as it turns out, For this weekend. The movie that I'm giving my highest rating to a Dean's list. A is an incredibly sad movie. It is called pieces of a woman. That is about one of the most horrible things that you could possibly imagine the death of a newborn child during a home birth. This movie stars Vanessa Kirby and Shailagh buff. And the great Ellen Burstyn and Molly Parker. I predict they will all be nominated for Academy Awards. They're amazing. In this very, very difficult movie tow watch. It's very sad, but it's so good and so compelling. You cannot take your eyes off of this movie that the 1st 25 minutes of the movie. And in some ways reminded me of saving Private Ryan. It is it is. It's the labor and birthing scene in this couple's home in their bedroom. And it's nonstop. It's you know, they don't have any cuts in this. It's very visceral and, uh, very, very emotional. Tow. Watch it. The rest of the movie is how the mother, the father, the grandmother, the midwife how the death of this little infant affected everyone. So I mean, even though it Zaveri sad The content is put in context and makes a lot of sense. It really kind of draws it all together, but I'm warning you, it's it's very real. When they show you everything and it's It's very, very difficult to watch. But I still gave it a Dean's list A because it's a great movie. That's the bottom line. For me. It's on Netflix. There is this sort of revenge thriller called Fatale that stars Hilary Swank and Michael Ealy. They are two people that have a one night stand in Las Vegas. He returns home to his wife and his home. The home is broken into a home invader is involved in the detective who shows up on the scene to investigate this home invasion is the woman from the one night stand. On this woman is not going away easily. It reminded me a lot of fatal attraction. I give that one A dean's list B minus. So let me just get to some. You know, some happy things that you watch this weekend to try to make you feel a little better on Netflix. There. I'm sorry on the peacock Network. Now, formally on Netflix is the office. All of the episodes of the office have been moved to this new Peacock platform seasons. 12, or freeze seasons three through nine. Are on peacocks paid premium tears. Everyone's talking about corporate Chi Season three. That's on Netflix. Bridger. 10 is all the talk right now, if you haven't watched that highly recommend that, But this is the Nicolas Cage, Syria's Bob that I was telling you about earlier. Called the history of swear words where each week and the six part series Nicolas Cage digs into the anatomy. The origin of one particular swear word. So if that's you know, George Carlin's turning in his grave right now, after his seven words that you could never use on TV. This Syria's uses them all in spades. Uh, that one is also on Netflix right now. Thanks for leaving us laughing being have a good week. You have a great week. Detective Monday..

Things must be all that good. Clean living theory pickled. Let's just put a well jar pickles in the back of your friends. That never goes bad. There you go all right so. Let's get back to movies in theaters this week. Atoll this is a part of. It's basically in this run of domestic fidelity thrillers and that kind of goes back at least in the modern age. Back to like on domestic fidelity thriller an interesting. I just made that up. But it's that It's it's the the cautionary tale of who you have sex with outside of your marriage which should be no one by the way but that would make very boring movie if that's how it worked out but we've seen these in an and there's been a whole bunch of them that have come out over the years there's usually one or two a year and this one's about a guy played by michael ealy who is a sports agent who's up and coming and then he goes out on a on a bachelor party with his with his friend in las vegas and oh he picks up a girl and it's like by hilary swank and they have a one night stand and then when he comes back home he discovers she's adelie. Pd detective who was suddenly in charge of this breaking investigating a break into his place and so he doesn't know what's going on with hers. She unstable that she going to cause problems to them. All that is going to happen. That's a given is. She seemed to boil the pet. Bunny in pot yes. Fortunately there's no bunnies nobody's were harmed in this movie but it's follows a bit of a formula. It's worth outside of the formula lines down then which i found kind of interesting and i liked. Actually hilary swank. This when she played both totally into type totally against type which i thought was kind of neat for her. Well i just you are a wordsmith. I so thank you so adroit with words i also appreciate a good segue. You mentioned die hard earlier. Wanted to run through very quickly in the time. We have left us some of the top christmas movies of all time diehard among them kind hearts. I'd just watched that again this last week. And you know it's a for my whole. Is it a christmas movie. How Gay people are rejected not accepted the standard third whatever because because of that who wants to fuck men now not know it helped him realize and accept it though so he knew it but he just hadn't accepted as I want to say aided he knew it. Hey you know you saying you see the rock lifestyle decision whereas previous lifestyle no was no lifestyle. I'm getting married to a negative quoted on the podcast saying he used condoms. It seems like sixteen now Damn Sixteen. I'm sure I use banks last hit the sixteen Lord Atri Nick. How're you doing good scrape. YANNI's yeah go ahead and getting a crazy ass. I'm about to hang out until some shit that I mean this kind of old like now. We're talking about the football shit last this week but it's kind of old now but yes the people who don't know. Ab Been doing a lot of boy he required now. He's actually on the Patriots so he been Kinda. Silent Alan Decides women coming out tation talking about the Nigga yeah so do is accused of is he was accused of sexual assault by the woman she talked to the NFL on Monday for ten hours. I went and got my haircut on on Friday. Thursday and I'm Barbara was like he was Kinda. Cringe with Islam the game to Kansas issue saying you can't do br he's like Brooke run text message. I mean the the two emails that that sandwich kind of kind of nuts burr do was going off and he said like Oh grow said it estimated on her backers without without consent or whatever and when you read the fucking message. It sounds like you did it without consent yeah. It was like bitch. I dragged my Dick on your back aw that's just like he isn't it goes fucking weird like saying. He's just a weird nick. I I can't figure it out like I read the sports illustrated article in that's what was said. I didn't redesign what was the article about the second week yeah about his life just like really weird behavior in the second chick said that she they did like a a fundraiser in Pittsburgh and she had painted a picture of him that was up up for auction or whatever and he saw it and liked it so much. He ended up Pan overweight. They were going to auction off for so he bought it and it was like I want you to draw a painted mural on my wa. She's like a cool so they took her out to Pittsburgh. Why she's you know she's painting this shit he he's behind her and he doesn't he's completely naked except for like a hand towel over his penis and she turns around and his. Dick is in her face and so she's like and he said some shit tour and then she's like what the fuck she said that she's used to people flirting with her but she did not know that he was going to turn around and be nate lacy's on turnaround and it'll be naked so that was like then he'd never paid for the the boys while sending his name documenting never paid for any of our work. That's and that's a common theme in the articles that he never pays anybody for the work so oh he'll act like he's so ready to work with you and so ready to give some ship popping and then as soon as you start doing your work he'll make like some really fucked up like accusation in about you just so that he doesn't have to pay so like there was one chef that's like really well known in Miami or whatever and he had hired him for the the pro bowl or something like that. I think they were in Miami Dude. Is You know they have all types of pro. Bowl parties in the guy is the chef has made a bunch of stuff so one of the days I think it was like a couple of days later they said in the article that he was saving a separate salmon head for like stock or whatever to make like something out of like super or something I guess you know the chef was all and so a. b. saw and was lake admit that because do was Italian admit that it was a motte light it was supposed supposed to be a hint that he was putting a hit out on him and so that was his way of getting out of Pan then they said in the article I think the most part aside from like the sexual allegations is that he went to see some really renowned doctor in Pittsburgh I guess and and you know to be his the personal doctor because this is the story and he was fine. I gwyther giving him in the examination these Barton and fourteen more than one face issue yes there. There's a video out. His social media saw the other day. He's standing there and he's got no shirt on the examining him and he's got some sure it's on the whatever and then he just fart. It's like keeps doing it and it's like it's on his social media's on he's the one post an ab just like what the fuck is wrong with. Would you man is that it can't just be is I mean the guy..

"When I use an expression like inside skinny and my shaming skinny people. You might be. I wouldn't use it. Okay. Drop it and by the way, fetch shaming come into play when we do our review of avengers. Yeah. It's it's been a, you know, you don't know how much the outcry is the guardian may have noticed it. So there's. It is what it is. What's happening at your blog? I've got reviews of tuna movies which will talk about next week, including longshot with Shirley's on. And Seth Rogan a unlikely love story and also called the intruder with Dennis Quaid, which I enjoyed quite a bit. It's absolutely pulp it is. Silly and is not to be respected in a traditional fashion. But I had a good time with it. What you like about into the movie to the ruling the characters. It's Michael ealy and make it good to good actresses. And they're very compelling playing a couple at by this house, an older gentleman play with Dennis Quaid. And he doesn't want to let go he has strong attachments to it and things get violent. But I believe this couple at that. They were very credible. They were fun to watch that they were realistic. And to me when you have a pulpy thriller that grounds the story. I think it makes it better. Okay. A thinking man's pulpy moving slight echoes of straw dogs. And I'll explain that more next week. We're going to talk about game of thrones episode three, and this was the battle the battle with the white walkers. However, there's yet another battle to be had and that's with the certainty and her craft three more episodes only three more episodes in this last one was about an hour and twenty two minutes or something like that. I think the last episode it's going to be a real big one eight hours. Mixed reviews, by the way on episode three. And there is a core of of hard core GIO tears ones who actually play the game have discussion groups they discussed theories about how it's going to end what the next episode is going to be about a lot of those people were disappointed in this episode three a lot of other people loved it. And some people thought it was too dark visually dark get battle scenes. You couldn't see what was happening. It was as if the battle was fought in a fog, and that was by design. They stretched it out. It was overlong as far as I was concerned. But they wanted to drive home the point that this is the battle of all battles. And as such you got a sense of what was going on. But they prompted I would say fifteen minutes of it or so was conducted in a fog where you couldn't see what was happening now, not all the one time that would be interspersed with the rest of it where you could see what was happening. Okay. So legitimate. Chris. And then. Mumbling in movies. It's maybe realistic. But if you can't hear what they're saying. It's an issue and the fog may be realistic. But if you can't see what's going on. I have a problem with him. Well, you remember the famous expression of Clausewitz, the fog of war. And so they were making the point about the fog of war. Maybe if they read Clausewitz, maybe not all right? Let's start with the avengers. Yeah. And we've got a couple of members of Mike Rosen movie club, or at least one who have has seen avengers. What did you think of it? I enjoyed it very much. This is adventures endgame the second part of a two part series. Now, there were two other avengers movies. But this is part of the singular story. And of course, last time we saw the adventures fan owes the evil villain had snapped his fingers and caused half of all living creatures to go by killing them because that was his sort of evil twisted way of putting the universe back in balance, the top half of all living creatures. Oh, so you drew a number. If you got the wrong number you are turned to dust. So obviously the remaining avengers have not forgotten that movie opens with him still mourning. And they just can't let it go it. It's their job to protect the earth this effect that the galaxy as well. But specifically they were concerned about their fellow earthlings. And I think what can we do? Is there any way to fix something that went so horribly wrong? And it turns out there may just be away. And I'm not going to say much more than that. I think you can say fairly safely knowing the story that there may be some time traveling involved is how else can you fix something that happened? But how they get there. What happens next their new clashes with Thanos? I will not share more about that. Because I think the fun for those who haven't seen yet. Which is a very small group is in the discovery now Spidey had been killed at the beginning of the movie. Tony stark says I lost the kid. He's talking about the Peter. Yeah. He was a mentor of sorts. Kind of mentor relationship with Tony stark. And he was close to the kitty. He was watching him grow up and embraces powers and all of a sudden he turned to dust Nick fury. He'd been off had been wacked somehow and doctor strange. Also, I think so yeah, it was a lot of different characters much of the guardians of the galaxy. When went away Black Panther may have may have just panther. And falcon, I think also. Yeah. But they pull the Dallas remember Dallas. Well, here's the thing. You've got this massive franchise. You've got all these spin off movies. There's no it's no spoiler to say. You can't kill off half the moral universe because the whole movies depend on it. So it's all getting their funny out how they can defeat them. And also, hopefully those friends back superman was also killed off. But he's not part of the different marvel versus DC's. This isn't it's comic book. So you can you can do fun crazy stuff. And so it's not real life. It's not listen game of thrones. They've had some characters have died and come back. So it's. The beauty of fiction. All right. And this was this was a like a finale. Oh, yeah. Of a Broadway show in many ways. This is all these different moral losing is twenty two and all so far. I believe the number right? And a lot of what was very clever about the movies that they incorporate many of these different stories in the film, actually, the middle of the section of the movie really does connect the dots. And I think there's a lot of sort of thank you. So the fans there's a lot of acknowledgement of what's going on the actors involved in the end credits. It doesn't have a post credits scene, which we often have it's more of a tip the cap to some of the actress here that was actually very nice. You actually see that character and the characters name or the actor playing the characters name alongside at that goes on for three or four minutes into the movie it was like a an old timers game or a hall of fame together. And you're gonna get another look at Benedict Cumberbatch and others. I'm not giving anything where everybody knows about this by now anyway. Yeah. Mickey Mantle comes thought of fun. Yeah. So now, I'm I think I'm an easier sell for this kind of a nerd heart. This is not your forte, movie wise. What did you think you're not my fort? Oh, yeah. Fort refers to your strength for Tate is only a term having to do with music a ha-. Okay. And it's often, correct? Me. As but ninety nine percent of people use the term, call it. Forte. When it's really if it's somebody as Ford F O R T as TAY Cup of Java. The nerd in me comes out the word. Yeah. So you know, it it is what it is. That's a rave, yes. Which Rosen said, it is what it is within the post thing of it is in terms of you have all these expressions that people use. I saw you you were at the screening at them pavilions. Yes. And it runs a full three hour. We it's it's on. But for what it is. It was a fabulous finish. I think I agree that the middle section was a little bit poke at times and a lot of fan service kinda nods. They the audience, which I don't mind, but I think when it slows story down it gets a little cumbersome, but overall. Yeah, I thought it was smart. I thought that the sort of the morning moments in the first third of the film were very effective. It gives these are very good actress college Hansen now, Chris Evans, Robert Downey junior. They know what they're doing. And. Of course, man comes back. So I think they did this as well as possible because there's so much at stake, and there's so many threads untangle, and you wanna leave fans happy. So you got a lot of different boxes the check. And I think they checked off most of an earlier movie ant men was killed by a can of rain rain. And he's back now here help me with this. I'm not as big as the votes of this as some people are this was described as a twenty two film series. Right. So that includes all of them, that's the movies, the captain movies. The ant men movies doctor strange Black Panther guardians galaxy. Okay, here's the the fat shaming port four has fallen. And now, he's a a stone or overweight drunk of all people store a God. Some people took them bridge that they thought it was fat shaming. Chris hemsworth. The actor is very physically fit and here they show Thor at being having pot belly. And sort of it shows his mental decline. How he hasn't been able to process losing all of his loved ones and losing Asgard. So it was sort of a physical manifestation of that. And then there are a very select few people on social media who are gas. And I think that the guardian newspaper in England talked about that as well. Let's that's what they do. Right. Also. We have a different a different look for the.
