Does that preclude or would you say that was after or before fuelled by my whiskey wow definitely after Howard is holding an ancient artifact and his hands. This is a Flyer Postcard IOS card for my old variety show as to who is the old law. That's an old argo post. This is old large. Yes right there on Fairfax. Tiny club Yeah Ed fuelled by Whiskey and that is that is that that is you write that is on me that is an old that is an old painting that somebody found at a flea market that they thought looked like I feel like it doesn't look like you but but with somebody else mixed in the actual person Davos and now hangs backstage at the current. What do you know what show that actually that show actually did get me hired on one thing guys yes place even though I started this ad real time with bill wow when that show was the first season of that show. I did the first ten episodes at a little segment all to myself. Yes I do remember for that and that's because the executive producer that's interesting reinterpretation of History Scott Carter who is the executive producer is now a friend bovine had come to the show many times brought bill to the show and then asked me if I'd be interested in doing a new show the bills starting and I said yes. I'd never done anything like got before. I thought I would try it. Then I was not asked back for the following season and was really you didn't feel like it was a fit it. It was on a good foot and also bill Maher's there. He was there every day. That could add up. "It's the second week of September. I H Michael Cray Howard Kremer are are given starts in pantomime there during the intro yeah. I have to turn it up in post okay yet. We gave gave you a nice soft entry way into this week well. It sounded like I was too loud like I was a dot or something you did. You did a good job pretending was at the right right volume. Thank you don't I gave that away right at the start to my right into my left map DACA. Hey we've got a full house today so well. Let's without further ado introduce our guests. They are hilarious Comedians who host the podcast podcast but outside aside. It's Andrew Sean and Coal Hirsch is say and this the theme song that we play whenever we walk into a room we demand. They played well. You guys are high energy. Well no actually we are low energy but the song balances salty and sweet I get it and welcome to who charted. Thank you now. You guys have a podcast and I know this S. Because I was taking a walk one day in my neighborhood right over there by the goes to the show of the abandoned meltdown comedy theater in Comic Comic Bookstore and I looked and I see a couple of nut jobs sitting right there at a desk broadcast and right outside there on the sidewalk in front under the old meltdown yeah. That's what we do sorry about that. We do a podcast outside okay. We're the nut jobs yeah we just do a podcast where we set up a table on the sidewalk wherever and talked to anyone who walks by and we usually do it in front of abandoned buildings and that's why we chose there because I said oh I know this place. No longer really exists fantastic tastic. Had you ever been there before in front of that one. No that's the first time we first and only well. This was a Saturday afternoon. If I recall one of the hottest one because that's right and was coachella books you couldn't do. Are you needed a hot venue yeah. They wanted someone smaller to give Emma platforms yeah. They turned us down. Oh Shit Yeah. Well Good luck to you in the future. Now I like it. I like the instinct I of course to the comedy crawl a squad belt comedy crawl but you've done many times to go outside and we're outside. I think you know a lot of people are in the box trapped in the box of of walls of the house or the place and we're saying there's much more out there. So why don't we explore that let's explore it unless include the city in our performance I agree and you know it usually takes like took to grunge bands. It kind of took like Nirvana Pearl press jumps on it. It makes a seen of it is true so there you go gang. There's two outdoor comedy shows. Let's get some blog posts yeah. Let's get on some blogs. Eh Let's get on eater. La You know I've been on TACO TACO LA or la tacos. What's that exactly exactly? I didn't know what it was until I was like well L. A. Tacos as well to do a story like I know people that run these comedy blogs. I don't know what you gotTA gotTa do to get them interested in. How about you have you guys been covered by the alt- comedy media culture last week I already? That's the first time yeah wow yeah I mean it wasn't a big coverage though it was just you know their top podcast of the week or okay now to cover story now not a cover story what I what I've Kinda come to learn as that they consider a local comedy show a local comedy show even if it's right smack DAB in the middle of Hollywood featuring featuring television comics pray and it's got a wacky cool theme to it. They still won't cover it as if it's like Oh Tuesday open mic Mike in the back room right yeah because I mean what you're doing with the squad melt is it's not just about doing a standup show. It's kind of subverting the medium. Adm It was about you know a legendary venue that close and you're kind of like taking ownership of it in a way represented more than just someone telling jokes. Can you say that in a blog I'm GonNa Start Tacos to tacos. La To the second version jeff now. What are you guys cover on their just whatever or is do you talk about the venues news the places you're at no we don't usually touch upon where we're at as the people were with book guests usually no okay sometimes we scheduled walk buys friends WANNA walk by and sit down for ten minutes and that's great talk with us guest droppings at a comedy cross yeah but for the most part it's about whoever randomly walks by and sometimes you do venue like we've done it at the Weenie roast you know the there that's why we did it at a rave we did it at? Mo Names and the people that get involved homeless people sometimes downtown downtown had altercations any problems honestly no like for the most part they're stoked to like be able to talk about stuff and a lot of them have brought up homeless issues and you know giving advice for how to talk to and deal with homeless people and it was. It's kind of interesting like I feel like because I feel like a lot of times especially in Los Angeles people walk by these people in ignore them right and we're doing the opposite and they feel like it's appreciated yeah. It is we've had mixed results comedy. We've allowed people to do it and they were fine and then other people like oh they went into psycho mode. What are the recent times I did it but you aren't there was unless you're busy? It was really really heavily heckled by someone in their apartment across the street and that was amazing and then and after that Max walked by our podcast sat down and talked about that yeah. It's back very nice yeah well. He would come in today for a hot pick but there's two of us so there's no seat for a recent episode yeah. He's a climate climbing the chart ah is ambitious. Don't let red hair. Okay we have a chart. What is it this week's music is youtube music charts and insights United States trending? Oh I like it. This will cover the entire nation. I we got to do the music chart. I'm going to wrap the history of recorded music. I'd love for you guys to interject and add some flavor here we go music. We used to play L. Please eight tracks and CDs. Now we download and stream. That's true accurate. If you're a charter to give you guys a lot of real posted on it yeah. I just got back yeah so kind of a mumble rap. If you WANNA do we can say more well. One's is all you get. It'd be more forceful next time. Do Not Miss your chance to blow my spaghetti. MOMS plus Gary. Hello well here we go. We've got a great chart youtube music charts and insights. You say you know I got a lot of music this week from Youtube Okay and this is really where a lot of people go. Where are you going these days? Call Hirsch for music spotify spot spotify defy weekly discover- discover weekly Okay and you may be sure yeah friends recommendations and then specifies where listen to them. I see I see. Is anyone going heavily Alito Tick Tock. You guys laugh. I'm going to take a stand right here on who charter I know he does I don't do but they they have they have good. They have the catchy songs on Tick Tock. I will say Oh there you go. I think it's a great way to experience music because you can be on Zam charge. You could be on spotify you could be on apple music and then you go over to tick tock and there's five songs that you've never heard on any of those other platforms and they're constantly being repeated by every he can in the country to me the something exciting about just seeing what people do with it immediately. You know what I mean like. If you watch a music video oh are people into this may go to a club and you go there. Were playing that song. People were going nuts but with tic TAC you just find out right away. I think it's exciting. I'm interested. I still don't totally understand it was just making music videos right. They copy each other too and so it's like a bunch of people with the same five seconds of some wraps on but they're all doing the same dance to it. So is the idea you can just take the audio from any tick tock video and then do version of it. Is that where it comes from or yeah. Is that possible but they they all seem to get that same clip could be pulling it off of. I tunes or or something yeah I mean it's usually if if if a clip is copied a bunch and done I guess that's called the trend. Oh currently trending the trend to worry new new work. I tell trending story. I was at lessens the other day a grocery store here in Los Angeles and this Guy was trying to give me a sample of food. It was like these kind of like chips and they were like this. There are Vegan pork rinds which is its own weird thing they were trying to act like pork rinds and he was trying to sell me on the chips and he's like really good. They're the gluten free Vegan. They're totally trending right now. Describe chip the my friend of the century trending. I will say this. I bought them trendy. Uh let's see what's coming in at five coming in at number five. It's Billy Irish with all the good girls go to hell.

I know that much. Well, you got to climb on something else in order to reproduce. So they have to make you wanna climb on something. And so that's why like the guys with the birds. They got all the different colors and all like, they're putting on a show. Yeah. Yeah. You need to advertise. Your fitness you need to stick out a little bit. Yeah. Dudes are diamond dozen. So you say you got to do something to to really make yourself stand out. Right. And they're gonna see the same with humans like we listen to those rap songs and stuff like that. It's basically saying I got everything you want. Yeah. Call and mate with me. Yup. Climb on it climb all over. Yeah. Okay. Let's see what's on this week's movie charge. All right down down to to number five. Dumbo dumbo. Let me ask you this one. Do you know anything about like, for instance, elephants? We know have long memories, and all that kind of stuff how much of like elephants or any animal is you think created by them eating the mushrooms welfare is with humans. There's a the stoned ape theory that that isn't really that's not something that's popular within academia, but a fun theory nonetheless that that our primate ancestors would have been, you know. Popping various things in their mouth to try out different things. Why did you come across still aside and mushrooms, and it has this kind of? Introspective experienced attached to it. I think it's got right. And some people think that it that it drove people to try to articulate these experience, which yes over the evolution of language and fun theory..

Please welcome. Mr. Steven road, east fever. Yes. You got it. Welcome to two thousand and nineteen. It is a great pleasure to be back here in the studio of ear wolf here in Hollywood, California in the shadow of the net flicks building there's a lot going on over there. Right. Yeah. It's like a government agency. It's like I walk past it to come here. And I think wow, they gave out fifty specials last week fifty specials. I'm going into the wrong building. What's going fifty? What were they fifteen minutes specials I don't know there? they were logger half hours. I think a lot of half hour powers. But also a lot of hours they had hours on it. Well, I don't know like ours. Popped up a week ago. Right. Like Ellen Degeneres had an hour. Right. And but this was a global thing. These are comedians from like all over the world. But you only ones like we knew about we're probably Knicks warts in Krista, Leah Brandon. Brandon real Brennan there's a guy named Dave from Canada. Yes. So I guess in a sense. Yeah. That's because you're not really competing against comics from you know, Katmandu or wherever. No. So it's like let them have it. Yeah. I don't mind. I mean. Yeah. And that sense it wasn't fifty specials who's five. But I mean you look over at that building. It's like the death star. They they're always working on it. And they're always adding some new content that building itself has real weird though, the architecture the building. Yeah. Kind of it's interesting. It looks to get weapons systems in there something. Well, I mean, I wouldn't be surprised. Netflix says a lot of you know, they have a lot of agreements and arrangements with people. But hey, you know, if I can get a comedy special over there. Why not why not you'll take it? What if it's what if they keep cutting them down?.

It is now and not so congested and crowded and also laugh along to our great comedy show, the first show in the history of basic cable to be scripted comedy with no left track. Really is that a fact that's the fact, you know, chip knows about the incredible something like that. You know, what I mean, it's like longest run from scrimmage in an effort time game braid at the away players like one of those. That's like one of those sports facts where they break it down to so many layers. Then you realize, oh, that's sounds complicated. But it's kind of the only fact that matters, right? Like when you really compare. Oh, you're seeing a good thing. It's a good stat. Okay. Thank. But it's it's hidden under you know, it is deep step, but it's an important one. Well, you know, this is h in TV history. But before the reality shows really took over there was a drive towards sort of reality people were getting sick of laugh tracks and everything being fake. And that's why the real world was revelations AO. This is real everybody thought it was real yet. So anyway, that was kind of where the history of TV was at somebody needed to push it and the direction we. Pushed it in west get out that laugh track. I'm tired of those for twenty years. Yeah. I probably, you know, this is close to me because just recently I was under a seizure scare at dragged manner to where they were making me move things and move from room to room when you mean by move things I have a garage, and it it's one of the great action figure museums. Unfortunately on the entire west coast really got some stuff in there. And they were telling me, I can't have it. I can only have a car in their house. I gotta car. I got the bat mobile. I got the Ghostbusters ambulance from eighty four. And how can they how can they do that Howard? It was just they just sold the building. And we're stick into the very letter of the law with Alva lease and stuff, but that was all verdict, and I kept dragging manner, and I'm still up in there. And do you have? A name for your place. I don't know my car has a name them car with an m what's your car? Same Vivienne Vivian, which is IRA. Well, it's not ironic. I don't know. It's just something. That's my ex-husband's middle name way. Is that why it was called Vivian? No, no. I got it from a horse leading Chatsworth who had it since. I mean, it was in the nineteen sixty four. So the family car. It's a Plymouth valiant. Wow. How'd you park that in LA, very carefully? No power steering. Oh my God. I threw that. Wait. So how do you like I mean, you just have to park in garages himself? Ideally. Yeah. Compare a little park me. Right. Just takes you know. God damn our you must have some shoulder strength from that. I didn't have any muscular strength at all. Until I got this car builds it up. Yeah. I gotta say like most people don't have any Vivian in their life for you to have a car and then a husband with a middle name..

Well, it's extremely vocals, but Boko harmony is we're on drugs is very much about like guitar. You know state thick mix. Yeah. Yeah. Exactly. And also, Mumford and sons is so we're on drugs is going for the vernacular of like, you know, dad rock rate like, you know, Bruce Springsteen and like Dylan and stuff like that Mumford and sons is drawing from kind of blue creek folk folk. Yeah. And it's not to me. I love Fook music and bluegrass country music. I don't think it's like legit. But don't hate it word. I hate the fucking luminaires. They can eat shit. Okay. But it's coming from a different history. One song though, if you could only pick one song for Mumford and sons or luminaires you've picked out luminaires. I don't know the name of this go. Hey, here's what really pissed me on, you know, like Choctaw music. Medicine man with a drum bisbee is I saw luminaries on SNL. And it's just because this performance, I hate them. One of the dudes was in like overalls and barefoot on the SNL Fuk you like this fucking this fucking. Oh, Brother Where Art. Like like have some real let me turn that flies. Bonnaroo? It's now this poppy bullshit, if you like took it out spirit family, re check it out. There's a new folk revival in tapping. Brooklyn. All kinds of music or simultaneously popular. At once now, which is nice everybody has access to everything. Perhaps these guys have little urban gardens. All right. We will be right back with the movies chart. Hey, gang, h Michael Cray here. Just want to remind you about my live album, the attempt on a special thing records, you can pick that up. It's got live songs and music. "Michael Cray, and I'm here with he's Neil and was here and Brenton Kef. And this is the movies chart. Just like Twee. Lease them constantly. Them, we know need to see when you get a good one. Ooh. The good lyricism that Jesus talking to thank you. Essential. Hi influences. That's my style. Also, I had a story to tell. Slick, rick. All right. Well, we got movies here. I think most of these movies are too long. These songs are two minutes. They give a lot of bang for your buck. Let's see what these three hour movies. Two minutes entertainment. I need too much. I know they're like twenty minutes. Yeah. Take up half your day. All right. What's coming in at number five, crazy, rich, Asians. This. So your family's rich, we're comfortable. That is exactly what a super rich. Let's get right into is this cultural appropriation? Are they taking the blame from hip hop? The Asians pulling a fast one here. I mean, how, how? How much a band-aid do you want us to rip. Here's, here's what I, first of all I did really love the movie. The movie was good. I saw assault a couple. I got a free pass. Yeah, a couple times. I mean, but like if we really if we'd be in real as they are, there is a part of Asian culture that or has appropriated hip hop and black culture. Vice versa. So that's not anything new. I think the movie is self is was a pretty. I can't speak to Asian cultures, especially where the movie was set in, but I think it's cool to just show that. Yeah, man, we, this is a different part of our culture and I, I don't doubt that they are Asian families like this at all. Yeah, I think that, but it was good to see all the different. You know, parts of the family. They look at things over the, you know, is different than America. This movie brought an interesting question for me which we talked about on my part on our part a little bit, which is like. I didn't want to watch this movie at all because it was a rom com. But I was like this. I mean, I hate Asian people, but then I was like, all right, if someone didn't wanna watch Black Panther because they didn't like superhero movies. I think I would still be like, what are you should. So I don't know. You know, I felt that way I listen. I had into, I hate hate hate wrong combs like that. Especially with the the poor woman going into like a Royal. No. Has that was happening even in the plane ride when she was starting to go, wait a minute, you're rich. That was cringing. It was a rom com. Yeah, haram com yet. It's a romantic comedy. I felt that way about Black Panther too. And then a wrinkle in time came out, like I see an shit. So then I was, I basically just invalidate a mouse. Like. Almost right after. Nobody was around for it. Well, I mean, yeah, it did have more to offer though that Rahm calm. You get to see, you know, different culture. I will. I'll go, I'll go check it out. No. You like it. I think you'll like it. It's a, it's a good movie. My girlfriend saw before I could see it's all my y'all really losing gal ousted Kostas who is very good at it. I watched fresh off the boat was she said. So it was pretty cool to see her in a completely different character which I think is beneficial for a career and look man is the person as a person of color. We talked about this a lot on the pot to how you know black movies have to be great all the time. We're not allowed to fail. We're not allowed to have different type of movies. We're not allowed to have a ridiculous. Yeah, we're not allowed to have shit like that. So I mean, hey, even if it has all the barring annoying, cringing tropes Aram calm. The fact that is an all Asian cast. Yeah. Okay. Significant kind of exciting. Yeah. All right. Well, let's see what's coming in next at number four number four, white boy, Rick. I'm already stoked. Let her talk..

"It's time for episode, four hundred and three of who charted the show where comedians discussed the top five songs and movies of the week. It is the end of this. She's back. She's your natty legs, Natasha, zero, and I'm your h. Michael, Cray. Howard framer tallies. Hey, you're back. Welcome great to be back. Where have you been. Oh, I've been hanging out with my kid. Oh, yeah. You got the kid? Yeah, and I'm up stairs, and then the nannies downstairs in every hour, I go down and say, hi, I'm accused we're in the basement in the laundry room. The furthest geographical point. Well, I'm sure it's it's an adjustment. It is. And you were telling me about a book you you have about child rearing and I was like, why do you have that book? Yeah. And then I said, well, it's because I bought it for you. When you were about to have your baby, why don't you give it to me? Well, here's what happened because I'm kind of lost and you're like, yeah, I have this book about the creative process once you have a child. Well, here's the, why do you have this book. Why don't you give it to me? I needed a withholding the one thing you need and I was like, the person who got, so here's what it was. I started reading it and it started talking about the that creative person has natural rhythms and that would have baby comes into it. It's an adjustment. So I thought if your babies, I two days old, I don't want to give you that book like maybe it's a Downer like maybe maybe that won't happen with you. My hate. Okay. I'm ready for it. Yeah. So when you express like, oh, yeah, that makes sense. Okay, I got the book for you, but I had to wait a little bit. Cool. You're like waiting for me to be ready. Yeah. And in the meantime, I got to read it. Would you learn. It's it's about the beach and stuff. It's a whole thing. It's right up the both of our holiday. It was. It was very hard what beach. We went to Ventura with our three dogs and the baby striped pavilion or two chairs sells like a Mr. bean video or something. It was like a mini burning man to travel with all of that stuff. Have the baby like babies first trip to the BBC pretty much throughout the entire time. And then we left ochre. So I got some good pictures or those. Good. Yeah. So dog beach to tell. Yeah, we have dogs there, but one of my dogs bites bites people. So it wasn't that fun buddy? No, but it has raised. So the people you were sitting there were they glad when you started packing up. Be made their day by take him off. Hey, we got a great guest in here. Why? Why don't you mean how many, how many, how long do I have to wait till you hear your Randy's just really weird to sitting in the air. I know guys. For Matt TV's splitting up together, love and so much more. It's Bobby Lee, Bobby. I'm so grateful. Oh ledger. We're blessed to have you last night. My girlfriend goes, you have to sleep now. 'cause I was playing video games. I go. Why don't have nothing to do tomorrow? And she's like, you're doing a podcast. I'm not doing that. I don't know who it is. I go. I never agreed to it. Agree to it. I never did any. I don't know them. Right. And then she woke me up to this that you have to go because you said it's for the movie, so I was driving your, I'm just, no, no, I like you a lot by the way your publicists..

"So you don't miss it. I'm h. Michael Cray and I'm with Barbara. Grace are is drink Colbert's. Okay. Pointed that you would you. And Brett Morris, and Kevin, and this is the movies chart. B.'s just like. Release them constantly. Most of them, we don't need to see when you get a good one way. Lou. All right. I visited the movies this week. I went back. You lead pack. I saw that. Yeah, I was gonna call you, but then I thought these movies started later. They all started an hour later. Would you have been free? Was it Friday? Friday? Probably not. Okay. What do you mean back you guys were gonna see something didn't work out where we went last week try to see the Meg and we gotta checked it after twenty minutes by the movie itself. It was so bad. He just gave. How many times do you guys walked out a movie, do it constantly and say, okay, okay, it's time I go. I walk out. I was sort of a sort of along for the Howard experience. I wanted to walk out of as many movies and we did we had about four. Right? It was great to understand it more. Yeah, it's like I give them a chunk of time. I'll say like you got two hours tops, probably an hour and then watch. It starts to low and you haven't done your job to entertain me. And I. With the rest of that time to see whatever else is there bounce around. Then by that point, like you find a movie, you like better and you go, okay, I'll be back next week focused on that one harsh critic of tough movie so long. I think I know I just I'm not doing anything good with my time. So I'm like, I might as well. Okay in there and watch the whole thing. Well, that's a good that's like you probably have a better chance of commitment than maybe with the movie pass. It's almost like going to Costco or something. It's like you're sampling if you get something. Good. Okay. Next time on coming back. I'm kidding getting this buying all the DVD's. The through that box. All right. Well, let's see what's coming in at number five mission. Impossible fallout will you do Bluey do Louis. Do doodoo cooking. Thank you. Down there we go. Choice to make that the edge who is. Making a meal out of one note. He had held on head on business one. You would sit through tend to be dead. I think so. I would sit there most movies. I'm not. I'm not the only I think I've walked out, put it I walk out of, I think I've watched two movies, remember the impossible's because like the first one principles the incredible impossible's. There's a movie. That's what I'm thinking. Family? Well, this one he runs around. He does his own stunts it's very impressive. There's supposedly a seven hour podcast about the making of it or something you guys hear about that on. Definitely not listen to that. I'm walking out of that. Yeah, that's what what is the longest podcast? Is that a someone wouldn't try that? Yeah, for this. I mean. Did you see this one? Oh, this one I did not see. No, they moved it out of the movies, but by the time I got to it, but I, I don't think I could sit through these things. I usually don't care about the, I usually can't get invested. Yeah, I'm not a huge action movie person I've heard is good, but I kind of action. I don't really like how fast action is cut me too. And once they start fighting zone out completely. Yeah, I I, the mostly seen people talking about how old Tom Cruise is. I saw funny tweet that was like Tom Cruise is same or older in this movie than will firmly wasn't cocoon, which is. It wasn't surprisingly young in that I feel. Like an old dude forever, so it makes sense. Yeah. That's great. Fifty two hours the longest uninterrupted. Was it up comedy podcast? Probably not totally beat that. I'm gonna put on my own. What's the reward you get to be in Guinness, I guess, should probably publicity for it. Right. Wilford berm was forty nine in that movie. Wow. What cocoon? Yeah, holy mustache. She just yeah, just owned it hoof. He's like. Anderson Cooper to supreme mature gray or something like that..
