"Years starting off as a licensed Barbara in hairdresser in nineteen, seventy five. So you've been at this for a while, but the thing that's exciting about the message that we're GONNA share today. Is that your outreach? the influence that you have is way beyond the professional beauty industry, your outreach and the messages that you have are for everybody and you're going to have an incredible message so if you're listening to this right now. This is not the time to check out because you're not a hairdresser. This time for you to absolutely listen closely and realize that you're gonNA. Share this message with so many people. Michael is a teacher. An author developer of training programs that has empowered thousands of professionals worldwide. You are also Michael. The founding partner of the summit some business center which you can explain to share with us exactly what that's all about, but you've been doing this for a while in your messages are amazing. Before we jump into this, tell us what is this summit Salon Business Center It's a training center that was started from glimmer. In a couple of people's is I think it was ninety nine ish where you know business owners come together for three four days, and we just kind of dive deep into what it is that runs a good company, but when they go home, they go home with a coach. So, what's different about summit is that we now have a hundred consultants and the business attendees that WanNa take the ride going. Okay I get it. I wanted, and somebody goes home to help them implement to give them the support. They need to hold themselves and their team accountable so that we can close the gap between what they hear what they can do with what they've heard and seen in the result that they get, and now in that twenty years I think last count we had about five thousand busy some. And when you really look at that community of employees inside of that, probably somewhere around fifty sixty thousand people, so I'm awestruck. Watching it continue to unfold. So how important! Before we jump into this and I. Keep on saying that, but you mentioned. Having coach is so important. Because how often do people go to a motivational seminar? And the they're on fire, and by day three nothing has changed. Nothing has been implemented, and there goes at initial high. They had experienced while they were out the actual event. Talk to us about the importance of having. A coach, especially in business and personal development in all of that yeah, I would say in portent to attempt power I think every now, and then you will find an. Exception. To the rule I think I underscore you as being one of those exceptions a few minutes ago when you said once upon a time. You know you and I were in a classroom..

"Saw Michael Cole pack come up and make his major league debut electrified everybody and then you know you've seen these pieces couple years ago and the with Moncada and then to earlier this season a lawyer Jimenez industry leader and and and Lucas delete certainly having an all star year so I mean really this is just another part of it but you're starting to see the pieces at the major league level it'll be interesting to see would cease does today because he's he's not pitched he he's had some struggles a triple a lately where does that come from I mean when you have someone as dynamic stuff and Dylan ceases every spring training last couple years has been lights out if not the best white Sox pitcher and goes back to the might be getting bored is is that part of it we get they don't I got I think everybody who had Sir while you're you're ready for the next challenge couple people have mentioned that the maybe he's just ready he's been waiting for this it's sort of been the carrot that's hanging out there and maybe this is the time that he needs that challenge that's possible and also remember look you you may be major league ready but the guys you're playing with aren't necessarily majorly ready to see you have a better cast around you when you get to the major lance that makes a difference is super exciting and obviously the cubs Sox this weekend and and the all star break your sink three should Chicago White Sox I think the question is do we as white Sox fan should we expect to see Dylan cease for the rest of the remainder of the year I mean you see opposite ally with things are already to go I think I think they the one thing Rikon his said a consistently is that they're going to they're not gonna Russian because Carlos Rudan needs Tommy John surgery or because they they lose a guy they're going to bring them up when they feel he's ready when the time is right and it's not to bring about just start one game of double headers the twenty sixth guide sent back down now I don't think that's the planning where now you I mean things change guys get sent down as Daniel polka but I think that the the the plan is to have him here well let's go to the phones we have our winner who is on the northwest side it is Dorothy Dorothy well I congratulate you are now qualified for this we decided very much so thank you so okay so let's get into this so Steve aspects such as an important question do you have nineteen friends and family members that you could take if you win this thing all my Daddy I should be it won't be it won't be hard to leave me will it be hard to let's say of more than nineteen will be hard to say to the to the two cousins who didn't make the cut he missed the cut you know you know what you have to kind of pick and choose but I'll do my best you should everybody okay so nice balance of family and friends standbys though yeah then you kiss someone got sick the day off I will always be and there's plenty of people I know that will be a right not a problem and you can make someone else be the bad guy you know you can be the one that invites people and then have somebody else be the uninvited yeah that's good yeah yeah that's a great idea I'm definitely do that are you already in your head like even when making the call obviously you the winner here but just in in the dream state thirty thinking about who those nineteen people are gonna be I mean if you start a rattle off names in your head yes actually I am could I get a lot of friends who are you know big white Sox fans diehard white Sox fans and family members and also we have you know the other side the blue team but it only comes to Chicago team you're gonna retreats because if you are the right ones all right this is the last question just if you in your head is there one name that you you want to play for this afternoon who who's the one person has got to be at your sweet in your life in my life one name playing this one for Regge every year for the person is I'm going to say on that play this month don't mind telling all right so that you go all right Dorothy good luck appreciate you and congratulate yes thirty is going to get tickets for an upcoming white Sox game she's also qualified to win the sweet for twenty which is socks first twins big game Sunday July twenty eighth how about that wave in deland how can how cold is super "You do it for a couple of weeks? Then he start thinking about it. And let's start thinking about it, you suck. So this is still the infancy stage of my career where I wasn't thinking about things I was just going out there and doing it. So that was the number one number two one was the undertaker Brockett wrestlemainia when Brock into the streak because I know most of the outcomes, I didn't know how come that night. And when if you go back and listen to the call when Brockton with the Heff five, I assumed. Because I had no idea the streak was ending. I assumed that it was going to be a kick out. And I called it like I almost new in one of the things in in our businesses every finished could be end of the MAC. Well, I didn't think it was the the best thing, psychologically. It was like I have five and he wanted to and then when the three happened, I just stopped everybody stopped. And you're like holy shit. But this happened, and it's like, okay the streets over, and that's basically how I presented it. And so that was the second one in my my favorite match of all time ever was the night that Eddie Guerrero. Be Brock listener for the championship in San Francisco, California appeal cow palace that to me was my favorite call. I believe the best call the Cazin I ever had his team. But more importantly, just because it was any Eddie and high Wrigley. You know, real close with busy. And just to see Hetty half that movie into able to be there in call it for any because no one in a million years ever thought eighty Guerrero was ain't gonna win the championship. It'd be broccoli. Beat Brock Leser doing the championship and it happened. And that was just one of those incredible home. It's that you all never forgetting it was the highlight of my career. Well, Mr. Cole, Michael call Bosman. Colt guy river of flames guy, political campaign guy, an incredible coach mentor invoice of the WWE. I appreciate you so much for joining us. And I'll tell you. I'm proud of what you accomplished, you know, I don't want to turn this into a love best. There was pretty was pretty frightening and wasn't sure whether we were getting out of there or not. But probably this is this funny story when I was working at a local radio station in Houston, Texas, KTAR ache. A there was a really bad flood and one of the rivers was was massive flooding and oil caught on fire causes huge Furner on the river. And I some guy twenty five bucks to take me out in his little bow to get into the river to do reports for the radio station and. Larry river engine died. We do. We ended up going toward the flames. You're like fifty five feet away doing life stuff on on the radio. My wife was listening thought I've I've had bought it that day that would probably was the closest I've come to really feel like I'm not getting out of the situation. Mike smart guy. I mean, all these things you got into a river of fire. Like, what are you even river of the big about it? You put it like that. But. Day road story than covering somebody's Barca. That. This guy is a gem of a human. He lost forty some pounds in thirty two days. He's trying to gain them all back right now. He's from Chicago. He goes by the name of Zito, sir. Mr. Cole is there any history behind you shorten your name to go medical or it was like a story behind that. Oh, why did you pick? So my real name is Shawn covert middle name, Michael. So what I did was when I when I first started the company, I was told that there's only one Sean remember show, Michael. I'm like, that's fine. Go I put my middle name, Michael cut my last name in half and made it Michael Cole. There you go. Incredible. Name my supposed to call everybody by their names, by the way. 'cause like Tom pests doc lived in my house for a month. Now, he's baron Corbin and I- strictly call him buried like I don't know if that's that. You learn is that, you know, they're no they're no by the talent night. And there's a reason for that. Because we are calling them by their real name. "He's an Italian ticket easy on him. Nick. What do you got Michael you have done it all in the WWE year the face of the WWE you've been the face and voice of the video game series? You've been in the video game series as a playable character, albeit one of the worst ones in. No mercy. Question is you're the ultimate company guy. You've done so much. Is there anything they've asked you to do either storyline or wise or not that you said, no to no never I say that without hesitation. I've never said no to to Mr. man, it is company, and I'll tell you why. It's simple the things that Mr McMahon has done for his company the things that he's put himself through which stone cold Steve Austin and get his head shoved up the big shows backside and all the things that he has done if the owner of this company, who's a billionaire, and is r-, you know, I is creating sports entertainment, and what he's made it today if he can do that during no reason Michael Cole camp. So I've done everything they asked me including pretty much getting. I don't know for my say that work but pretty much being heightened right? Let's put it that way back. What does he do? What did he say? Google Google Michael Cohen Heidenreich, Pat. You'll get a nice kick out of very similar to the scene. Dumb and dumber. When Lloyd gets trapped in the stall when sea bass comes walking in and yes, take the shower afterward or the old school the old school of us. It was very deliverance like. Wow. Okay. To look that up on. So do with what you said about Vince willing to do anything. He still getting slapped in the face in headbutted at as age. Now, Shane McMahon jumps off of everything. Do they do that? So that they wanna show like, hey, we're in this too. Is that kind of obviously got to be the mindset by the McCain family is everything. Death. I mean, he's just crazy. He's in Silicon Valley. There's no other way to describe that because chains out there, but it listened to it. You just look what Stephanie did on raw this past Monday night with Becky Lynch. Look what triple h with Becky Lynn Chen smackdown. Live just last night. I mean, they're still doing it today. I mean, it's being able to put yourself in the position triple h one went and had a match with the undertaker, Shawn Michaels and Kane and tourist peck, and he's still doing it. I'm so it's it's a love for the business. It's a low for the company. It's a look what we do. And there's nothing better. You we can complain as much as we want. But there is nothing better than to go out there when that red light goes on Monday night to perform and to make people smile, I mean highlight Mike are when I had a Huron for a couple of years, and you know, really became the first time and the just prevents 'cause says idea the first time in history of of wrestling that the lead guy the play by play guy the person who's so supposed to be credible. The audience is is you know, was a bad guy was a heel the first time it's ever happened to the point where we actually had a match at wrestlemainia. Now, it was the worst match ever resume. Wrestlemainia? So think about that. And so it's because of being able to go out there in love for this. And I'd probably be still the hill today. Jerry Lawler didn't have a heart attack. But nonetheless be. Up in live on air. That was a real moment that happened there dick, dick it bad guy. Cole is supposed to be in bad guy. But whenever one of your closest friends almost dies. It's hard to be a bad guy. There's an interesting. That'd be crazy next guy. Geoffrey Gorman was in the media world for a long long time handsome old man. Mr cole. I know you've had a great journalistic career, and I'm going to mention three things, and I want to know where you were closest to injury or even death. David Koresh, the Waco incident, fifty one days covering the civil war in Yugoslavia or the WWE. That's a great question. I feel like I'm you know, near that in WWE..

"What I did was like aids chance in these guys all of them from TASR to JBL to Renate Corey to there's countless others all he was giving them an opportunity say, hey, can you do you think you can do this all of these people though when out there and worth their reruns off to learn how to be a commentator, which, you know, Pat because you're learning is not an easy thing to do. And they had I can't, you know. I don't have a magic wand, and I can say you're a great commentator. It doesn't happen that way. I can say, hey, here's your platform, go out there and learn how to do it. I can try to coach them, but they have to make this in all of those people that have been so successful here is because of their work ethic. And some that I did I just wanna be clear about that. You definitely help them. Crazy. Speaking of coaching whenever I got asked to do. Call a football game. I knew nobody in the field. I knew nobody in the field except for Michael Cole. So I sent him a text the night before because I was given zero direction by FOX I was giving zero direction by agents by which is basically told them calling a game. So I sent a text the Michael Cullen it for a man you busy right now. And he's like, no, I was like, well, I don't want to bother you or whatever. I was actually. No, no, no. You you. You said it wrong. You said a text and asked me if I was busy, and what what the answer I how I actually responded was it simply said what? After night city. None of that that I just did what? And then I said, I didn't want to bother you. I and then I told you I said I'm getting thrown into a booth Tamar for football game. What do they want from me? And you sent me back this to scroll or basically that just I had so much confidence going in there. I will never be able to. Thank you enough for that. And also the opportunities that you're giving me with WWE because it was you're the I now say this. I think you're the greatest play by play guy on earth. And I don't think you get any credit for it. You you have to deal with a lot. I mean, it's a it's a circus happening. There's drama there's comedy there's action there's storylines that are interesting and hard to believe, and you are just a smooth rhythmic. You have a motion. It's just you are the top guy. So when he sent me this message. I was like, oh, I'm gonna go. Fuck is crushing there. I was very thankful for it. We'll anything isn't. And and I I remember the advice. I gave you and it's the reason that we hired you be yourself. That's it. We hired you. Because of who you are. I don't you know, I don't I didn't think that you should have gone into the booth and tried to be John Madden or tried to be, you know, Troy Aikman or Tony Romo. You had to be Pat McAfee you had to bring that sense of humor. Listen your football player. You know the game. You were you know, one of the greatest punters in history, you know, the game. But what makes you stand out? What makes you unique in? It's you it's who you are. It's how how entertaining you are. So that's why they want you in the booth not because they want to try you to try to be some football announcer. You're going to be your your your your most unique guy. And that's why we heard you. And I told you from day one. And I know that triple h is said the same thing to you. We don't want. Pat McAfee to try to be a wrestling announcer. That's not why we hired you. That's that's why you're not exclusive dust. That's why Pat McAfee is going to be doing a lot of other things in the world here in the next number of months, including working with WWE because we want Pat McAfee, that's the way you want. I don't want you to try to be grilling on soon or Jim Ross or Jerry, the king Lawler Corey graves or anybody else. I appreciate you so much. I was gonna at my final question before the room has some questions for a lot of big fans of yours in here, especially with what you've done with me and foxy..

"Now, let's get back to Mr Michael Cole bay. You did something that changed the game. Completely. You not you. I guess Renee did it with her incredible hard, work, passion and talent. But putting a female on the commentating table for Monday night. Raw was the first here recently in you Renee in Corey or a hell of a team there on Monday night, raw talk about that whole process and how easy it was. Because of how talented Rene is. We'll. Well, one of the things I've been very proud in my career in one of the things there. There are two things people can say what they want about me. And there there are there are a lot of Michael Cole detractors out there. There are a lot of Michael Cole haters, and listen be vocal be who you are. Don't care. I've been here for twenty two years for a reason because I believe I'm good at what I do. You are the things that that I've always taken pride in what I do in. This company is number one, my work ethic. Nobody can take my work ethic away from me. I try to be the hardest working guy in the company that is what I strive for. That's when I leave when I retire. I want people this the one thing I want them to say about me is man that guy could work number one. Number two. I've always taken pride in my career of having the ability to work with any single person that was put out there with me and to be able to help them grow as broadcaster. Whether it be TASR who, you know was a nec- W guy before he came here. And you know, turn, you know, I I helped work with him. And and help make a pretty damn good team on smackdown. You know, fifteen twenty years ago and now he's doing morning, you know, morning sports radio in New York. You know, he's he's doing awesome in his career. And I I you know, I I'm so happy for him. So glad he got to that point. But I was able to work with him JBL never broadcaster before came into the booth, and I believe came onto the best broadcasters ever when he had his run a decade ago. You know being able to Jonathan Coachman who I brought to WB initially his first time around found him prevent so these are guys that I I love because I was able to work with them Corey graves, nother example hundred and I thought that Corey had something when he couldn't be arrested or anymore. Threw him in the booth Corey worked his azoff for two years to get to the point where he where he is today. Rene man most talented person I've. I've I've ever worked with. She has. She has a unique ability to be likeable people like Rene they relate to Rene. She's believable. And she's got a great sense of humor. And she she's she's at cross between a comedian slash real sports journalists slash wrestling announcer, tremendous work ethic, and it was just time. It was time to throw her out there give her the opportunity. And now the fact that Renee in Quarrier, really close friends, I get along with both of them. It has this this unique chemistry. That's never been done before. I mean think about it. This is never been done before forget about sports entertainment. But there's never been a regular team of two guys in a girl on anything like this ever. So it's a pretty it's a pretty cool deal. And it's pretty unique to be part of that. Well, I think you give so many people opera -tunities Iran through that list of people you made their lives better. You obviously want to leave the Pat Pat one thing I do want to say is I don't. Look at it that way, I don't believe I made anybody's life better..

"Vince McMahon is still hands on in every single thing that we do and his family Stephanie triple h Shane are very hands on everything that we do. So despite the fact that with this huge company, we're still small in. We're still a mom and pop company in many ways because the family is still running things, and they make you feel like a family here, which which is the beauty of it. Now. Listen, it it isn't always roses. I it no company is and this is a very very hard life. It's a very difficult life. We don't have an offseason we worked fifty two weeks year. We're doing a tremendous amount of programming. Things are going to get even more difficult. And we go to FOX starting. In this fall. But that's the challenges in that. And it's what you make of it. And how much you wanna put into this place? I think I told you Pat, and I've always told everybody that's ever come to work for this company. When you come to WWE in order to make this what you want it to be you have to give a hundred percent of yourself because that's what the company demands. And that's what the owners of the company man, and you have to give everything you have if you come into this place and try to half asset. It's not gonna work it won't work. You have to live this in breathed this. And if you're willing to do that the sky is the limit here, you can have an incredible career. You can take care of your family, and you can really do. Well, but you've got to put everything you have into it. So many superstars in this. I think this is during the raw twenty-five where triple h twenty five twenty fifth year anniversary triple h did a little mono shot video where he said Vincic man has been there comparing. Vincic man to other people. I think like Barnum and Bailey, and maybe even some other people, but Vincent man is literally created these characters into WWE creates these characters makes them superstars than they. Go onto doing credible things viewed as like superheroes. Almost the rock is one of these people. He's on top of the world right now highest grossing actor on earth was just Dwayne Johnson at one point with seven bucks in his pocket before he comes into the WWE becomes the biggest star on earth. The list goes on and on don't go Steve Austin, all of these guys and girls make a living post, the WWE is it fun being a part of the creation process of these characters. And seeing how the whole thing does is is that a part of the job that you love, or is it something that's just a part of the the whole the whole business. You get I love it into the growth to be of these characters in these individuals to me is is absolutely incredible. Because what to the creative team does is they give them a template. And then they say, listen, go out and paint your. Your masterpiece and the most successful people in the history of the of the business are themselves turned up a notch. Don't go. Steve Boston Steve Austin with the volume turned sky, high the same thing with the rock. I mean, I always tell people when I had my mini he'll run back with the wrestlemainia matching number of years ago. That was Michael Cole turned up a notch that sarcastic little prick who you know, me now that he knows what you guys know who I am that really is me in real life. That's the type of person. I am now am I as mean spirited, and so on and so forth Zach that guy was no. But you take your character. You turn it up in the nuts, and the people that are able to do that that are able to feel that character are the ones who are going to be successful in this company to be here and see a guy like John sina come in. As this young raw talent in turn himself into the greatest in my opinion of all time in to be there for that entire ride in to be friends with John and see that happen and see how that that that that process worked. It was apps. Absolutely incredible to be here when the rock for started see that metamorphosis into superstar absolutely incredible to see guys like Shawn Michaels who were here before, you know, before obviously I got here..

You know, it was always was always cool thing. But obviously, we never knew each other. And then you just happen to come to a live event for annex t and do a little bit of a thing with Adam Cole and people reported back to me. And they said, oh my God. This guy is entertaining. He's who he loves the business. My sat now with with triple h Paul Beck who obviously annex piece his brainchild. And you know, the future's bright, and, you know, not just going to be kickoff shows anymore for you. You scuttle a lot of stuff coming down the pipe. I hope well, I'm very thankful and excited for that. I have been a WWE fan my entire life. Michael Cole is a constant with the WWE for the last two and a half decades was your plan. Always to be the voice of the WWE. We were doing some research on you, you covered the Waco cult thing in Texas for fifty one days with CBS, you're on a political campaign trail you want to Syracuse. How did you end up with the WWE like I'm very intricate? Now, you're you got me a job you've taken care of a lot of people. You're you're a good man with the WWE. There's it seems as if though you didn't know that that was going to be your life, and my correct with that no not at all. So he'll be WWW WWF back in the day has always been a part of my life. I mean as a young. Kid growing up. My grandmother used to watch. So I watched with her got away from it at high school went to college got back into it. Because when I was in college wrestlemainia was just beginning and me, and my buddies that goes, you know, watching and closed circuit in theaters in Syracuse, and one of the guys that was a couple years ahead of me and my class creek your ch- did some work with WWF. Sue us to go backstage and hang out with him a little bit sued always been part of my life. But it was never in a million years that everything I was going to be working here.
