"Might just squeeze in, but my God, they're all very inconsistent. Tottenham then battling for a place in the top four, West Ham, meanwhile, sit in the relegation zone after we saw the results that happened this weekend. At one point, away from Bournemouth, it's interesting name every time we talk about the who's going down, no one mentions the West Ham because everyone says, oh, they're just getting enough points. At the moment, they're not. No, not at all. I've been to run a form they've been on has been terrible, but they've been mostly down there throughout the season. And I think you can see from the game today that they're okay. But then they're not really scoring the goals. They're not finding ways to create tons of chances and be able to take those wins and this is belief that they'll just get themselves out of it, but that's 23 games in. There's still some time left, but the trending in the wrong direction to be down there because when we think about teams who are struggling to Premier League, we'll talk about Southampton. We'll talk about Bournemouth and alike. But West Ham's form at the minute is as bad if not worse than some of those sides. So I think they're in a really, really tough spot because you look at the players that are out there, there's not that much room for change, but then something needs to happen. They need to find that spark again today wasn't the best to wasn't the best of games, but then it still ended up losing. And I think there'll be disappointed thinking they could have gotten more, but is this what their seasons like? The thing they play well, but they don't score enough goals, perhaps. Well, they need to address that if they're going to have a chance to stay up in the league this season. You stand on West Ham. I can't believe this is the more or less the same side that went towards the toe in the semifinal of the Europa League with ain't track Frankfurt. It's an amazing don't fall almost like Liverpool in a sense who have gone for the quadruple last year. There's no doubt no doubt there's a lot of people calling for David Moyes head. I think that would be the wrong move at this moment in time. I mean, if they want to do it in the summer, then that's up to them, but I think he's been there seen it and done it. And I think ultimately what else they're in a relegation. I think they've got good enough players that they will stay up. But it's just not very pleasing on the eye. When they were being successful, part of the success was they would get good wet, they would get it weight, crosses in the box. The physical presence and so check coming in from the middle of the park backed up by Declan race on the edge. He would get his quarter goals, but they just don't look like getting enough goals at the moment. And Michael Antonio played today, the half had one or two injuries in our possession. But they just don't look like creating a lot of chances. And when you're not doing that and you're also not as solid at the other end, clearly, that's a huge problem. And they got away with another handball, didn't they? We'll be talking about that tomorrow. Because this is a 1.1. Tomorrow, just a reminder, extra time, as always, available over on our YouTube channel. Be sure to check it out. "We're all clapping for ourselves when Seth says I also like that ever since he's been the manager I think of the team as lads. Like he always. Did well today, good work by the lads. That was after a phone that lost, by the way, but it's been a season of one day. It really has for me watching West Ham was an Everton fan, a season of almost. My God, a season of so bloody closes. I would bite your arm off. I will never get laugh at a season of so bloody closes, which to be candid is a moral of this show, the moral of this dark time we've all been through. Let's save a what we have rather what we don't have. And I want to spend some time for a moment sharing a couple of moments from your season. I look at with marvel that prove that the West Ham ultimately Seth, I don't need to remind you of one nothing this season. They fell short at the top for cruelly so some would say, they did give us moments that transcended football and a crucial reminder they voted that there are some things more bloody important than just winning. Okay, Seth, here we go. First up, he's one of Concacaf's own Michael Antonio, his journey in claret and blue has been like watching a caterpillar enter its chrysalis. And while encased in that silken home, hit the bench press very hard. A lot of reps emerging as the never skipped leg day Pelé that we know him as today. Let's look at this incredible moment because to me, God bless in every regard, I hope history will remember mckell Antonio for his celebrations. This season alone, he's acted our entering the matrix given sayed Ben Romero, piggyback and of course. This classic against Leicester City, let's take a look. By the way, that is a couple cut out of Antonio. Lifted.

"Mean, yeah, he got a glimpse of everything. The pain of football. What it is, he's spent the last few weeks just looking down the salaries and hearing the storied pasts and the bright futures of all of these Chelsea players and he watches some team called literally named after dogs wolves who play in like orange slash golden shirts. He watches them come in and come from two goals down to go and get a draw against his side. Oh my God, welcome to the Premier League. We are better off for having you because it's been a lost season in many ways for Chelsea David's fond early weeks of the season when everyone wrote about a majestic three horse title race and I remember on Skyler. Lukaku's a cheat code. You know, yes, there's a number of pundits now pointing out 2 may end up with a similar number of points to Surrey when sarri was fired, but my God, serie, didn't have to manage during a period of astonishing upheaval. In which the data is showing this place intensity focus, distance run on the field is just full enough a cliff, data wise. Since this turmoil, I mean, I watch him just like, my God, to stability and better days ahead for all. And I think significantly so much of that drop perform has been at home, roger. So at home where usually they've been so dominant and failed to concede goals. I think Tuchel's home record is worse than Frank Lampard's home record. In terms of his points per game. So I think that sort of underscores potentially this is the sense of how unsettled it's been. And yet they're now in a real fight, roger not just for third place, but even in the top four depending on what happens with this mid week game between Tottenham and arsenal. Biggest challenge, remembering that was just trying to get through a game with the patch and no city. Yeah, we've had a lot of smoking managers. So if we, they're literally smoke on the sides. Okay, roger Norwich, nil, West Ham, united for the irons rebound from their Europa League semifinal disappointment against eintracht Frankfurt by scraping the already relegated canaries off the bottom of their shoes. They say Ben Rama brace and Michael Antonio tappin and a Manuel lanzini move West Ham within three points of man united for that final Europa League spot with a game in hand Moyes, loved life on the continent so much this season, he's trying to book a return trip. Say hello to Millwall, sang the West Ham fans to the Norwich players who will play in the championship next season as the hammer saved their biggest win of the season, a tiny, tiny bomb after the agony of Europa League exits in a semifinal in Frankfurt, in which they were reduced to ten men in a way that made Declan rice shout at the referee. There was effing corruption and I do feel for West Ham fans. They've had their hoot raise this season. They have had a joyful resurrected moist side play wonderful football and a failed on all fronts, there is a glimmer of hope they could still catch united for 6th place and Europa League all over again. But we will celebrate this along going to say West Ham season with one of our guests in tomorrow night's live show in New York City and I truly believe that when we look at their story, there is so much so much of wonder to say that absolutely and talking of things to save a palace one Watford nil the awns officially relegated by uncle Roy's former side no less the game's lone goal, a 31st minute wolf Zaha blasted penalty palace who were the better sides throughout her within 5 points of their highest ever Premier League points tally, Watford, meanwhile, head right back down to triple-A to face the Toledo mud hens. Second Premier League relegation in three seasons and for Roy Hodgson, the cruelty of it happening at his former club. Though it did end beautifully, the palace fans remember were not able to give Roy Hodgson a proper send off as he ended his four years there during COVID. And I think it was just 5000 fans who were allowed in the stadium to give him a send off. So at the final whistle at the weekend, after his Watford team had lost, he hugged wilf saha, walked down the touchline straight towards a changing room, pissing off his own Watford fans who traveled to the game by totally ignoring them while blowing kisses to the palace faithful. He's one of our own he's one of our, it was a truly lovely footballing site. Roy, then briefed the press that he will not be looking for another managerial job two wins in 15 matches kind of makes that decision for him. 74 year old, ready to call time on this managerial career. And I found it quite moving when he looked into the camera and said, I want to have a quieter time in my life and a chance to spend more time in particular with my wife and son. Ah, very nice. Then at Googled it, it certainly is like 50 something. That's what fit relegated just in time for the three points. They will inevitably win against Everton on Wednesday to be utterly useless. Brentford three Southampton hill, a pair of early goals to 77 seconds apart from pontus Janssen and Johann wiser pretty much killed this one off Christopher aye killed the game off in that use a different one. Christopher I finished it in the 79th minute with the bees third. This one essentially just an exhibition for two teams already on 40 points. Yeah, it's a weird thing though to be a Southampton fan their team achieved safety and Hassan huttle had his club in the sniff for Europe back in March. I think they're in 9th, but then 5 points from the last ten games can be relegation for. And God, a season that's had many moments, many of them wonderful, but it ended with the traveling Southampton support chanting that their manager should be sacked, and you do look at Southampton seasons and wonder whether their season ticket holders should just have to pay for half a campaign. Brentford, on the other hand, the only one of the newly promoted sides who are going to stay up this season and stay up with some style. Burnley talking of one villa three, the Bernie sans is brought to a screeching halt by Stevie G's Aston Villa any buendia to really dominated the opening exchanges teeing up. Danny ings for the first before adding the second himself, a lovely ball from wild man John mcginn left Ollie Watkins to slam home the third the Lancashire claret and blue outfit right back in relegation trouble thanks to this thrashing from their chromatic cousins. What a topsy turvy relegation battle we are witnessing, Burnley, all that momentum, three wins in four of the Mike Jackson until they met the suddenly clinical juggernaut that is villa propelled, not biker tiny. Yeah. But by improved Coutinho, when they are who had an assist and a goal setting up ings to score against his old club, no celly, proper pro. And.

"Local agent today. Whether you're openly, we got the final set, it'll be eintracht Frankfurt against rangers on the 18th of May rangers advancing cost. Harvey Leipzig, I am track Frankfurt advancing past West Ham Jules is still with us time now to welcome into the show Archie rin Tut. He was at that match between Frankfurt and West Ham, Archie, great to have you with us. You know, we were going to have Don hutchison on the show, but he refused when he saw you were in the rundown because when he talked about West Ham's atmosphere, you just trashed him last time. So what was the atmosphere there like and the game itself and Frankfurt? It was scintillating. So we and it definitely pushed Einstein Frankfurt on. I just got to step out the way here to make sure I don't get run over. There we go. But it certainly made a big difference here tonight. And they are in the final because of their fans as well. What they did against Barcelona both home and away and indeed again tonight pushing them over the line. They certainly got a helping hand from Aaron caress wells being sent off again for West Ham. That was a huge moment in this tie. But I track trying to have been continually underestimated by their opponents. I think they were underestimated in this first game against West Ham. And this is a big moment for them as a club. Their first European final in 42 years and a big moment as well for German football showing that you don't need to loophole your way through. German football that you can be San run with 50 plus one and still make the most of your resources and be successful. This is a success for eintracht Frank, but to reach the final. And yeah, the fact that they are not playing RB Leipzig, that receives huge cheers in the stadium. Because I'll be likely to have not gone on the same journey as eintracht Frankfurt. It's been a hell of a lot easier for them. And I think that, yeah, this is the dream final. If you'd offered this time track Frankfurt fans before the game, this is the dream final that they would have wanted. Shackled having a West Ham. I think Archie had the new and he had once crossed the world was sent off. You just felt it was inevitable. You were always talking always asking a lot of themselves as they did in the previous against Lyon. And then to reggae has to come off injured and you thought maybe that's a little bit of luck that West Ham needed that big physical presence to contour to counter mimic Michael Antonio having to go off in the 8th minute and then all of a sudden crosswell finds himself one and one, the wingback trying to try to win a ball when he shouldn't have caught himself in a tangle. Somehow the referee showed yellow, but then reviewed it and I think rightly changed the color of the card and from there, it just felt it felt inevitable. On one's Android.

"Watches Liverpool tune in every week hoping to see the darkness. But it never seems to happen. I've come to realize I am essentially when it comes to Liverpool football club, like wile E coyote in the road runner. You know, consumed by watching failure of the road runner to such an extent. There comes a point where even I have to marvel at how that all ground cuckoo just keeps running me off a cliff and drops an anvil on my head. That's the, those are the rules of the road runner universe, rod, you just need to keep on maybe you need to find a different purveyor of fireworks than the acme corporation. Newcastle kinda tried, but never really connected the talented dots in attack. They're vaunted pieces. See max a man just looked isolated, defanged, just two shots on goal for the team all, game Liverpool, understandably flat. Mentally, I think they are so distracted right now. They wanted another goal, but couldn't get one. And at the final whistle, you saw Klopp gave a fist pump and hugged his assistance. He saw the true passion and relief more than anything. Roll off him, you could see the stress he felt ahead of this one, but what a week win the Derby, win the Champions League semifinal, navigate this tricky obstacle without ever losing focus. Liverpool football club Devo seemed to have more going right for them. Even then Everton have going wrong, which when you think about it, it's just humanly flabbergasting. You didn't even mention that the carabao Cup winners, rods, they got the big one under their belt. I don't know what they're so worried about. The Florida cup that got away. And they're running a huge game next outing after they got a Villarreal at home game against Tottenham, looming large for both clubs. Come on, villa real. Vamos a Marino. Says the hater. Okay, now to a top four race that is proving every bit the worthy undercard to this title racer of starting with Tottenham three Leicester one Brad friedel and Arlo white cell blaze eriko and spurs cruise to a routine win thanks to a way too easy Harry Kane header from a corner and a pair of Sonny goals, the second one already a South Korean NFT rod just a brilliant strike. Kalachi, he and achille pulled one back in the dying embers, but spurs pick up a massive win that temporarily sent them into fourth place Sunday morning. Antonio Conte entered the weekend, insisting it was impossible for Tottenham to win their last 5 games this season. Contradicting Harry kade who earlier declared his team needed 5 victories to secure Champions League football. Spurs rarely play better. I've witnessed this pattern than when Conte completely publicly wrote off their chances. So this performance was Julius baum after two consecutive games in which they'd failed to record as much as a shot on goal and kulu bench for more trying to mix things up in that front three and change that Leicester, however, kind of seeded the game they rested 8 starters. Either really, really hates arsenal or has all eyes on the Europa conference semifinal against Roma this week. In broch's mind, the biggest conference since jolt and so the game itself is a bit of a snooze Romero catching the eye what a rippling muscle of a center back he is. Until the 22nd minute, up steps, 13th goal of the season, Harry Kane, the 14th time Leicester of conceded from a corner, 41st goal combo four Kane Tong or song Kane. They need a name, David, I can't work out what that is. Came on to set up Sonny who delivered victory with an exclamation point of joy and delight and David that third goal. I mean, sonic ratio of incredible goals, two goals he scores and he scores many. It's really remarkable. Yeah, his scores with every limb, roger scores with every part of his body. He's just so effortless, cuts in on his left foot and just curls it. Curls it around Kasper Schmeichel fantastic, fantastic goal. I actually speak to Sony about his unparalleled schneer callity on this Sunday's men in blazers show in which he is my guest. Along with the Manchester hip hop phenom and huge united fan H, I love that conversation more than I can say. It debuts on Sunday May 8th on peacock and it really is for spurs fans for the united fans. I think it's a thing of beauty. The highlight package of this game made spurs performance look about 60% better than it was. Their next fixtures, Liverpool, then arsenal. Then Burnley, two of the best teams in a world right now and arsenal. Oh wow, talking of arsenal. They headed into Sunday's game with all of the pressure, and they only went and delivered West Ham one arsenal to a scrappy game but the visitors went ahead via a towering rob holding header only to see Jared Bowen pull one back before the path. But in the second half, Gabrielle thundered ahead or off Lucas fabianski's Polish nether regions and in to win it for the yellow clad gunners. They vault back into fourth place two points ahead of spurs, what a top four race we've got, roger. Arsenal took the field under the mental cosh, or even more under the mental caution, normal. They had to hold serve. They'd seen spurs doing the business and then some Tottenham had gone temporarily for that North London Derby still to come young guns taking on West Ham, a West Ham with Europa League on the mind soucek and Michael Antonio on the bench and as were crucially come to pass the back four of West Ham was Jerry rigged with Aaron cresswell actually playing center back. But this was some test. The hammers had only lost once at home since the holiday season, war bubbles. Let's just say the football not eye catching arsenal so sloppy in possession, cautious in their opponents half West Ham. To vaguely interested, first half hour was like watching Bowen charge single handedly at the arsenal backline who coped just about and then off a corner. Rob holding rose up like a salmon in the stream. There's someone who lives as some bed. Well, and also a hair system, rod, as we learned after the game, rob holding's hair system should be illegal, maybe headed into the back of the net. Yes, first ever Premier League goal in his 81st appearance, dude now has as many goals as he does, impressive hair transplants. And.

"I've seen so many moments being in the stadium. This season covering the Premier League of Salah just having touches of geniuses, obviously the two goals against Watford and city who are the goals of the seasons, the past for money against sitting in the return fixture by all those moments, even when he was not scoring at the after the turn of the year after the disappointment of Afghan, even when he was not scoring in those games, he was still doing something special in a very special player, so he deserves it completely. Yeah, and you're not think they should wait till the end of the season before voting on this. Don't tell the English what to do, Kay. I mean, they got tradition. They do this before the end of the season. Of course they do. But they could have waited for that. But it wouldn't have stopped calling about it anyway. I think Salah, just by his numbers, he earned a right to win that. And he's also did little extra. He is an artist. He's unbelievable entertaining to watch. Traditionally, when you see this awards, the defenders and a goalkeepers, hello, Shaka. They have never up there in those awards. I would like to see where the Van Dyck there. I think Van Dyck is unbelievable. One of the best maybe the best of his generation. And rice can even win against Antwerp Frankfurt county. Right, before I get Ali starts on this, what do you think of Declan rice be in there in the top three? I have no issue with it. I understand Jews porn that maybe he's not the third best player in the league, but I think for me, I always look at a team performance and I know we're talking about individual and individual award here. But West Ham, again, exceeded expectation and you could even make the argument that more than anybody else. Everybody expected city and Liverpool to be to be in the top ten. Nobody expected West Ham to be in a Europa League semifinal and get an getting better by track Frankfurt over two legs. From that perspective, you could make the argument that Declan rice has the standout player. I know there are a couple others in Boone and Michael Antonio, but Declan rice here and is the one who is getting all the headlines. Why he's on the list, or he's on the short list. Any problems with the top three list there for you, LA? No, my problem is with a question that you asked Jan. I don't understand how we vote on something well ahead of time. Well ahead of the end of the season. Who's to say that both of these players go on and have outstanding ends of the season, but what if one of them is significantly better than the other? And that guy's team goes on to win the title, then shouldn't that put you over the top. When we talk about the Ballon d'Or and we lord knows that we talk about well on the or more than we should. Well, one of the things that we used to differentiate places, well, he won the Euros with Italy. Or he wants Champions League with Chelsea. In this case, we can not even use that. You can't say, well, he won the title with Liverpool or mantis city. It makes absolutely no sense from the outside looking in, it makes absolutely no sense that you're voting on something when the season hasn't finished just yet. See what the outcome is going to be and then from there, see the full performance and the length of performance from both players and then go on and vote, whichever direction you want to go. Stevie nickel won this award back in 1989. We've got no complaints about it. Tough competition. You're looking into my soul.

"For 30% shark. Now streaming on ESPN+. The first like semis of the Europa League took place on Thursday, West Ham beaten by eintracht Frankfurt and trek Frank folk with a very early goal once again canal with that. Michael Antonio leveled things out and then commander with a rebound goal to make it two one. It was a good night for the German sides actually in the Europa League but there is a second leg still to play Don and Archie are with us. He was done to Stevie. It was about bad. I tell you what, okay, West Ham lost on, but it wasn't the worst performance from them, was it? No, I thought they were emotional from the start, the atmosphere was incredible. From the start and they got emotional, lost in early goal, and they recovered quite quickly. But eintracht were really, really good. I've seen a lot of them, they've got some met stand and players. Second half, I thought west and was so much better. Kevin Trump was full enough saves in the second half of the Jared bones effort when he had a bicycle kick when he wrapped across bar. It was one of them where you think it's not going to be that night. They were plugging away. It's wide open this tight. People are saying that it's done because West Ham have got to go to Germany in the second leg. I think it's still still wide open. You see what west Amazon against Leon when they went away second legged battered them. So this tie is very much wide open, but it was a brilliant game of football. Actually there at the London Stadium, once again, eintracht Frankfurt making the headlines big win for them Archie. What was it like to be there? How was the atmosphere? I've got to be honest. Done. The atmosphere was terrible. For a European semifinal, for a European semifinal, the West Ham fans were so flat. So flat. Yeah, but because they lost the goal inside a minute, yeah. And at that point, you've got to pick up your tea. After what this team have done for them throughout this run, you've got to get behind them. And it was so flat for so long, even in the second half. I was stunned. I came here with really high expectations of what these fans would do tonight. It was just not there. I think I was speaking to a couple of West Ham fans. They were saying that the atmosphere was better against severe, for example. But this performance as well, it was reflected on the pitch. I thought Declan rice was carrying them for a lot of it. Sure they had their chances, Kevin trapp made one or two fantastic saves, but west hammers the expected goals of the chances show. They had all the chances to win this game. Frankfurt took their chances to be honest, also could have had one or two more themselves, but was disappointed for what should be such an occasion. I think the.

"Certain issues already. It isn't a very good sign and spurs. It's not like the known for buying tons of players for huge amounts of money every transfer window. So in terms of a manager and a perfect fit for a club because as Conte said in his interview, I think he kind of wants the quick results, but the club's identity doesn't really belong to that because they want to develop players. So it seems like there's a bit of a mismatch there from the get go. But again, it's just, it's interesting it's quite excited spurs. This content coming up into spurs in November. Are they really going to be a different club to the one which he potentially turned down in July? I don't think so. So it's a very, very strange position for them to be in at the moment, I think. Just before I got the boys quickly, just to add to the add to his last week. He also said earlier in the week that Tottenham are obviously a club that I'll just buy them for the future and the two players that they brought in. Now I'll give you a cool assembly is on the 21. But he's played 20 times for Sweden. But Benton calls 24. Now, and these days we don't call a 24 year old a youngster, particularly not one who's played almost 50 times for Uruguay. I know we can argue about whether Benton corps, the answer or whether he was playing well at events or all that. But he's a hugely experienced player. And the prime of his career between the age of 24, 25 and 30, hugely experienced in the prime, you're coming in from Juventus and he's talking about, well, these players have just been bought for the future, they're not for the hearing no. It's just gobbledygook. Nonsense. Nonsense. He's going to fix his mic pack. But more Premier League action coming up this week in the farm of West Ham at home against Newcastle Pablo, is this a must win for West Ham if they are to stay in the top four and they do it. Well, I think if they believe in themselves, why not? They have proved the first half of the season. They have a strong team. They can beat any team in the league. And hopefully they can keep those players like lancini, Michael Antonio, Declan rice, those players fins at the end of the season charitable being absolutely wonderful player for West Ham, scoring goals. So it's going to be difficult because sometimes the experience that you need for those moments will be huge for them. They have also managed 30 united arsenal spurs but I wish them all the best. I will be so happy to see the hammers playing Champions League for the first time in the history. And David Moyes I have to say been grateful for West Ham. Yeah, well, I wanted to talk to you actually about what's happening at Newcastle because obviously the new owners have come in and things are turning around. Can you see in a few years time perhaps a team like Newcastle now with this backing up in the top four in any resemblance to what happened at man city when the new owners came in? But it was not that easy when the New Orleans came in to the club a man city. It took light two three years to build a strong team to have big names. To fight for trophies and to qualify for the Champions League I mean, to be successful, you don't only need to big names. You also need to create the rhyme mentality. A winner mentality to fight with the best teams in the league and I also believe that the quality of the team these days in the Premier League is so much better than years ago when the owners came in 2008 and they bought the club. So but obviously the money is there. If they stay in the league, they will splash the money and they go for big names, big players. But it would take a few years for them to make a stronger squad to play in the Champions League, maybe. Time will tell hey, we're actually calling this game west time against Newcastle, the Shaka hislop Derby. Why is that? Because. Are you going with? Who are you going for? You can't say you draw. I can't consider. Okay, after that metro was my first dance, so given Newcastle's form and wessam just a little bit inconsistent right now. But if I had to pick a winner here, I would still go, I would still go west down. You can't have one, but three, three on the spin, but there's still I think second worst in the league in terms of points picked up on the road. And you started this by asking if this was a must win for west dam to finish top four. I don't think it's an absolute must win, but I just feel that West Ham have a lot to prove to themselves. And despite Newcastle's position, there are a decent team and without one of their main difference me as an engineer and triple-A who's out injured. You have to if you are west and you really are serious about finishing top four. This is a game that you have to win. Because of Newcastle's position, but then because of their form, it also gives you a huge psychological boost in doing so. So that's West Ham. Yeah, they came back for a very good point at Leicester. They didn't play brilliantly. Are in creswell in particular on the left had a bad day at the office give a silly penalty away with the armo and then got caught at the back post and for the cross at command per market. But Craig Dawson build them out. They also lost Zuma and the warmup and the op command. So they've got some replacements in there, but I think it's Pablo was saying they need the key guys to stay will be playing well. The two and a half in particular, they need to do the basics correct. Declan rice, every time you see them play, seems to be out of ten. You saw efficient with the ball. And I've Jared born can keep popping the goals and create and then Michele Antonio stays fair. I think they've got a chance because there's nobody else putting the hand up at the moment and saying, I'm head and shoulders above you. Man united have been struggling. Tottenham had been awful recently, I suppose arsenal have been decent, but why wouldn't you think west harm unless they get a barrage of injuries? I think if they got a two or three injuries to keep players, I just don't think they're going to have the squad depth to keep the consistency going. But if they don't, I think if I was David Moyes, I would say just keep believing. Yeah, and Pablo sabal Leto, that'll be good news for you. Also good news for you, Pueblo is a good thing you go. Oh, the pubs are still open. 24 hour city will let you go and enjoy the joys of Madrid by night. Thanks so much for being with us Pablo. Thank you guys. Thank you. Craig, Nathan, and Shaka will all be back for extra time. You.

"First because remember, before comedy comes up, they were nowhere near it. And even if they weren't good today, we saw the I would say the disperse from the past month before until they want today. They could have lost that game. And I'm sure they would have lost that game a month or two months ago. Now they want the last minute of the game with the crazy ending. So everything is on the green light for them too. They have to get, of course, more consistency, but we all know that and they all know that. From a first perspective, Nathan, do we go yet? Well, in the end, there's going to be games like this. You take the three points and run, or do you read into it a little deeper in the fact that they have been struggling to kind of dominate teams when they've got most of the possession? I think in terms of performance like style of play, then maybe yes, that can be worked upon. But while you're still getting results, I think you have to remain positive. I think looking at the fact that you're not in four for this moment in time, but you have games in hand, which can put you in there and put you in there with a three points ahead of arsenal or maybe even Manchester United behind you should they win their games in hand. I think that's a really positive position to be in and the reality of the situation is we want to talk about performance through is it nice play how many chances are they create? But as we've seen from the city today who will put under pressure by arsenal, there's still managed to find a way to win the game. And if we send for man city, that's what champions do, then for spurs work at that, why can't that be? What team to finish in the Champions League places do when compared to all this as well? West Ham with the win away against palace. Are they in the conversation at all, Craig? I think they're in the conversation. I think it will be tough for them to get above the Europa places. They didn't play brilliant today, a great goal from lanzini fantastic goal. There's a good open open game, but I just feel the strength of that depth will just let them down in the end. Some happens again to Michael Antonio up front, the struggle for a replacement there. So yeah, I think of David Moyes gets that side into the top 6, top 6 or 7, I think he'll have done and is doing a fantastic job. But I think when you see arsenal play Tottenham player and his strength of squad that Manchester United have in the change of management, I think it will be tough for them. Just to confirm there and all the results are from the Premier League that we saw in New Year's Day or started with arsenal and Manchester City.

"You know what, even though West Ham are doing terrific in David Moyes beat Clarke's beat took all these big Guardiola season they took another two bad injuries in that game. So a Bono has gone down with an ACL. He's going to be missing for the season. Zuma Don's hamstring and Ben Johnson Tony Samsung as well. So the only way in my opinion in West African get forth if there's some serious investment in January, not so sure David Moyes is going to get an awful lot of money to spend, but that squad needs strengthening. I would actually lean towards man united and I know they're going for a sort of transition, but then games have got coming up done, like you said before there's 8 or 9, ten games. Yeah. Where the West Ham will be the toughest team they play. They should actually. They should actually win every single one of them. Wow. That's going to put them in a really good position in what two or three months time. United States? No. Oh. Well, what are united done this season? Just name me one thing they've done better than waste time. They've got a new boss in all kinds of departments. Not as good defensively. They're not strong in the middle of the park. What about the Michael Antonio who's been fantastic going forward, the reunit healthy done against the top teams? Well, guess what? The beaten Chelsea in the bit in Liverpool, we've been sat here for the whole season so far seeing that the Chelsea Liverpool would say. We had everybody else. Of demolish Manchester United, by 5 and four, but then you're going to go against waste harm who I understand with don't stand a bit injuries. We waste time with a team. West times a unit and West Ham doesn't have the pressure every time we step on the field, the Manchester United has. So I'm going for West Ham. Don't listen to them, because let me tell you what just happened here with done. Former West Ham player, this was the old glove. This is a double blow, I was like, no, I just don't see where Sam house is going to happen. Oh no. Oh, poor us was haim. What's ham? I'm gonna pick West Ham. What's Sam? Yes sir. Frank is your own. "Football brain in the bottle. What do you make of it all? Yeah, we need a German we need a German we need a German. Yes. I think that's a lot of what this is because there isn't another Pep Guardiola available. It's a yeah, look, I think it's a move in the right direction for man united, but as he said, unless the culture of the club is going to change unless they're going to allow him to really impose his style on the club. He's not there to be the long-term manager of the team. I think he's made it very clear that he doesn't want to be a manager anybody. He doesn't want to be the guy on the sideline he wants to be upstairs, and I think we're going to see him sit on the sideline for the rest of this or stand on the sideline for the rest of this season. And then pick the person who's going to go and take the sideline job and he'll move upstairs within man united assuming it all goes well. Which I gotta say and it's maybe it's because I remain romantic about Manchester United. I hope that it does. God, it's so fascinating. You say everybody wants a German and united have gone for the apex of the German coaching tree. That is, that is truly fascinating. And also the counter Ole. He has no connection to the club. So there's none of that nostalgia. He has a clear vision of the type of perfect football he wants to play, which all they know, the lines about, I put winners out and they win games. They've got themselves a man of detail, a visionary. A philosopher a tactician, a man of utter utter detail. He wants high pressing, he wants high intensity. He wants a game one in transition. He's a modern coach. Relentlessly looking for marginal gains. And I find it, I find it fascinating. It is a gamble. We should say. United. Have essentially moved from a guy who was sweet and good and devoid of tactical ideas to a man who pretty much invented ideas in his money invented tactics. He has meticulous planning for every on field possibility. That's what he drills into his place, but he is abrasive, almost ALC and wild card. And he's also just there for 6 months, David, which the players, they're very, you know, they know, they know everything. They're already going to be looking ahead to the next guy. What do you think is possible? In 6 months, you know, united effectively said, we want instant change, but they've also, you're just a short term manager. Yes, you're going to stay on for two more years so we can tap into your brain in the bottle beyond that. But canny in that time, reteach united to be a proper football club again and not just a global brand platform. Well, when two call came into Chelsea, he did get them pressing very quickly, you know, and we laughed about it. It's like turnovers in the final third. That's his, that's his thing. And I do think that you've got players with speed, especially if you play guys like Sancho and rashford. Yeah, and he's got wingbacks like Luke Shaw, not to mention his Mason Greenwood also sitting there rearing to go on the bench. He's got players with real speed to play on that. Play on that team. And you could imagine, you know, maybe not mcfarlane, but maybe one of them or two of them pressing a little bit harder. So I think he's got the players of the quality to do it. He's not going to change the culture of the entire club. It's just not going to happen. It's not possible there. That's something which I think that the owners and the senior executives have got to look at themselves and think about. It is fascinating. You mentioned Thomas Tuchel, his instant transformation to Chelsea is actually almost reset what's thought possible about overhauls. Set the expectation that change can come for the very first game. You used to say about documentary filmmaking that the fast cheap or good. That's what the film can be. You can pick two of those, but two whole smash that with immediate change, taken over a stuttering team and within 6 months leading them to Champions League glory. It's created a belief that a season is never lost for an elite team. And in comes Ralph, a man who runs his team so hard runs on like dogs actually believes he truly does. He believes in pavlov's dog philosophy. He wants his players to be so hyper mentally conditioned that they think automatically just faster than their opponents in every situation on the field. He's going to blow up the United way. He's going to blow up the mythology of the past. He's going to attempt to build a tactical clinical lightning fast squad to do it. Really, within 6 months, he is a genius, but I do find it fascinating that he's never been trusted by a massive club before that to me. United are a massive, massive club and oil tanker of a brand. And I think the barometer is going to be how Ronaldo copes with Ralph's ideas. The ideas of a man he knows is only we'll be around for 6 months as a manager. It's going to be that's going to be the issue to watch. It is a gamble. He's an ideal architect. He's almost too pure too and political to have done this before. And God, to watch him admit this garden of superstar egos is going to be it's going to be absolutely humanly revealing united face arsenal on Thursday, but the good news for Ralph the schedules is up in a kind way. That ultimately, the Ronaldo, they think, well, it can the superstar be a coach killer here. That will tell us if the Manchester United marketing department is still in charge or if they're seriously ready to finally empower the football side of the operations in a way they've not since Sir Alex is done. The last thing I say is the only certainty Oleg's performances set the bar so very bloody like that can really only be upside from here any small improvement will feel like vast change. And God, it's going to smell like teen spirit again at Old Trafford. Manchester City two West Ham won, Catalan. David Moyes gets a visit from the real thing and makes pretty light work of the irons in the Manchester snow. LK gunda one started the scoring steering home, a deflected re admirer shot in the 33rd minute to give city the lead and just minutes after being introduced as a substitute, Brazilian weekend at Bernie's fernandino added a second one minute from time. West Ham pulled one back in the dying embers, but they lose their second on the spin here, city, meanwhile, climb within a point of Chelsea. At a frost covered, white out conditions, pep, face moist. He just fended off Lionel Messi Neymar and Killian and bappe, midweek, and now the Spaniards sought to prove he could fend off an even better global footballing threat, Michael Antonio. And what a performance by city in West Ham did there back two lines of four. But city just per us bedazzled. We sacra and Antonio fancied their chances in the initial exchanges on the counter, but then the snow just battered Manchester. The ball started to leave a trail behind it. And you got a credit city. What impressed me in this one was the way. These are Concacaf like conditions. They were meant to reduce truly technical great footballers almost to Panama levels, but even in short sleeves, city, just kept coming Dave over it. It looked like a Canadian national team game, but whenever West Ham tried to move forward, city just pounced on the space behind and that was really the first goal. What a stunning cross field ball from canceling. It was bizarre for me because my eyesight isn't good enough anymore. I just couldn't see the ball. Not think this was this was just like watching a sort of a very obtuse modern dance performance between two teams wearing different colored shirts in the snow..

"Van Dyke who isn't backed his best yet. Listen, he looks great because he's just not good, but I don't think he's blackly normal and when he's just saying that because obviously anyone who watched the West Ham match would have thought, wow. Without Van Dyke, they'd have lost this by a lot more. What is it? I don't know whether you remember, but there was a, when Michael Antonio got clear of Alexander Arnold and was going straight to goal. Van Dyck wanted nothing to do with Van Dyck was running heading them off at the pass towards the goal. They didn't change gear the way he did. I always remember talking about the Champions League Final when song had a start on Van Dyke. And Van Dyck, well that changed the gear seal there. Well, that didn't happen against McKinley Antonio. He didn't want any part of it. No, if he's not quite his best, then maybe his maybe him being a generally, he's not quite talking enough, or maybe people are not listening to him. There are so many things you can go wrong, particularly when you've got such a high lane. Right. And that is the biggest problem for me. The highlight. They don't drop when there's no pressure on the ball. And people are beginning to just put balls in behind them because the engine is they've got in the middle of the park where you're talking about they have an arsenal game. Nobody's stopping anybody getting that bike lane. And so they're under more pressure and there's more balls getting stuck in behind them. Dealing with. Let's get some predictions and rubber. What you're going for. I'm going to go for a Liverpool two one victory. I think it's going to be tight. I think Liverpool will still dominate the game. I wonder if Arteta has learned his lesson from how Brighton played, where Brighton tried to play it from the back in the early stage of the game, a Liverpool completely dominated. And then when they started to play beyond the pressure, they started to call Liverpool problems. Ask them have to do the same, but they're not going to quite be good enough to want to Liverpool. Yeah, I'm the same. Yeah. Two, one Liverpool. I'm going three one. Two. Meanwhile in the early game, lesser in action against a Chelsea because Craig said Chelsea.

"Of level. So, I don't know, it's an interesting one. I was glad it's called, by the way, Michael Antonio, the western strikers called an amazing good for Jamaica is two and two for him now. So well done. And by the way, we always mark the West Ham owners as like the unholy Trinity. They reportedly, they paid for they spent a hundred grand on a private jet to bring him back. I know. It's important. I have a strong feeling. I'll probably build them for it. Let's take it out of the shot. But again, like for a very, very thrilling qualifier so far. Chile's World Cup campaign is in serious danger too. It would be like you require after they lose at home to a quarrel to nail going down to ten minutes as well. It didn't help that utter of Vidal center after just 30 minutes for flying Kung fu kick. God, Vidal is going to be Vidal. Yeah, and this is why there's serious issues with the guy. There is no reason you're going to go get yourself one no down. I want to say definitely cost them the game because who knows, but probably. And this is why he is a liability and whether it's for intent. I don't care that he can have these unreal games. This is the flip side. This is the flip side. All right, another boatload of quick hits incoming. You also see these are down too much tonight story. Won't go away despite our best efforts to be skeptical, despite even Ed Woodward, saying that he backs olay. Anything new to say? No, no, not talking about it. I am a bit tired. I was still very recently. Yesterday the other day before, the design was really happy in Madrid. To live there to enjoy his life without work right now, the children, especially the little one, the fourth one, the youngest one who made his debut for the front huge team was doing really well. Our measured as well in his very much enjoying taking him to training, going on watching play, all of that. That's what I'm saying. I'm not saying that he would not sign for united with San Francisco to say I don't think that will happen. But this is the same guy pushing the story over and over again. Exactly. Speaking of Manchester United, the first quarter resort showed that the wedge Bill has gone up 23%, gabbed to around $400 million for the wedgie Bill, which makes them in the top three of highest wedge buildings in the world. Are you surprised? Well, no, Han. Who is transferring going sign somebody who makes a ton of money? Could that be? No, obviously, this is all christiano Ronaldo. They budgeted for a season and then Cristiano comes in. And then all of a sudden, you rage Bill raises because he's one of the best players in the world, and he gets paid a ton of money. It's as simple as that. So I don't really look at this in isolation. I don't think wages are a problem at Manchester United, Paul Pope as an extended contract. He may move on. They're going to lose other higher earners. No, this is not an issue. It's not surprising. We know exactly why. Others can debate whether it was worth it or not. Because general Ronaldo weren't there, what all they have a job right now? You asked me the other day. It's impossible to say don't listen to, I think there's a good chance as the result would be there. Meanwhile, George Paul Pogba has shared images of himself rehabbing in Dubai, all good in the Pogba front. All good, that's where he goes to his rehab. I wish I could go into rehab for my Achilles, my knee, my everybody on my body that hurts when I play football now with him because it's much, much warm, I can tell you that I'm here in the UK. And if you need some protein, you can go visit his friend news rat. Yeah, yeah, newspapers that you probably would grow I suspect, you're always done. FIFA have revealed that after roughly $7 billion football spent on transfer in 2019, some 700 million when in commissions to agent gap, this is a 5 time increase compared to 2011. Yeah, and this is that's worrying. It's a lot of money. It's a lot of money. Now, Asians might say, well, but as a percentage, it's not a 5 fold increase and whatever. But it's still 10% of the total. It is a ton of money. I don't mind agents making an enormous amount of money if it's transparent. If it's clear, if we knew who earned what, if you can negotiate a huge treat for yourself, great, no problem. When you have it and it's a bit murky and you wonder where that money goes and how traceable it is, you have serious imbalances of power. It's also when you've got certain agents who now control hundreds and hundreds of players. That, I think, is there a cup? I'm against the cap. I know the capital has been proposed. Cap seems kind of like just go beat them. I just want everything public. I don't care how much you pay, but justify it, justify to your fans. Danielle has made his return to camp no wearing flip flops and going through it on the pitch. I don't know why the media was so obsessed with this part of it. It's unusual. This seemed to be a great interest to some. Yeah. I really couldn't care less about what he wears. I do wonder though what you make about throwing a president, join the pota saying that he has that messy might return one day too. Of course, because that's the answer, and of course that's the answer. Well, you know, are they rage? They're going to make you the team that you were before. What about we get also vital valdes back? Because I think, you know, you could do a job. What about college bouillon? What about Ronaldinho? Ronaldinho could be back as well. Oh my God. Let's go. You are la portal. Let's bring them all back. Come on, come on. Focus on the team you have, making them as good as possible with Chavez. Try to give him a bit of reinforcement if January if he wants to on the very leverage we know that. But, you know, come on. Let's be serious here. "And the reason he's able to make that bet is because he is does have the elite recovery speed to recover. And which he actually does, he catches Michael Antonio and actually over commits a little bit to beat him, slows it down, but that's the job at that point once your beat is to just slow him down a little bit, bring him a little bit inside. When a guy pulls up from 35 and bangs a shot like that, and you've got you've already tracked him down once, I don't know what you can do other than that other than to just say, hey, congratulations. What he could have done was play the play the position correctly from the start. He makes a mistake at the start of the play, Galen. He does. And it's not a huge one. And 99 times out of a hundred, it's not fatal, but that one time was tonight. I understand if he didn't have a black line around him, but the guy he gets a shot from 35 yards out. That's ultimately how the play finishes, right? He shoots from 35 yards out and smacks the thing into the upper corner. He banged it. It took that, but this is what we're talking about. We're talking about the margins and the margins when you're playing against a great player when the leading scorers in the Premier League, they get smaller and mistakes like that can end up looming large. And Ezra Zach Stephan, look, Brianna scurry said it on halftime Paramount plus Tony miola said it on his show as well. Stefan got his footwork all wrong on that. And you could see it on his leap. You know, he gets no push off his left leg, and he's going up with two hands, sort of waving at it instead of going up with his right hand. That's like that would have been the correct footwork in the correct technique to save that. I'm not saying he should save it. I don't know if Matt Turner saves that. But that was not a shining moment for Zack Stefan. That actually kind of shown a light on some of his weaknesses in terms of technique. And this is a repeated thing with him. He does not get up well. Right? Think about the goal he gave up against Northern Ireland earlier this year. He was very slow getting a push. He got beat high. Think about the goal against the Red Bulls in 2018 playoffs. Danny royer beat him straight over his head. He just was not able to get that push. So this is a repeat thing with Zack Stefan. Again, I don't like it was a galata. I'm not saying I should have saved it. But you can find any goal that Matt Turner gets beat low to the back post. I can find three goals in his career that happened the exact same way. Sometimes a goal is just an absolute banger. And it could things can be two things. Kaolin, things can be two things. It's an absolute banger, but it's also something that he should have done better on..

"The stroke of halftime, normal order though, seemed to have been restored, a Trent free kick, such incredible technique, jaw dropping. Yeah, that was a fantastic goal that passes it to Salah, who stops the ball changes this sort of angle of attack and just hits it in. You know, I was reminded of one of your lines watching this rod that why don't we see more goals scored like that? Because it seems such an obvious way to take a free kick. But he just hits it so sweetly. Perfect combination of pace and curl roj. It's like a balloon of my joy just burst by trend what? What a technical mastery is and it became a robust game creswell could have should have been sent off for going over the top. Jota, West Ham fans argue could have gotten early bath for a bit of an elbow. Liverpool have dominated possession West Ham. Trying to snap out on the counter, remarkable. Gotta say this watching West Ham smother Liverpool is it is hard to overstate how good Liverpool are with the ball. And to watch West Ham do what they did, which is repel them, having just played on Thursday to keep their focus and their patience so Moyes, you know, the more pragmatic, the more organized, and more discipline in west Hamburg game, the more you could feel Liverpool's doubt creep in. You know, the more West Ham wouldn't bend but not break clop said. After the game, Liverpool's lack of calibration in this one. And they were a tiny bit sloppy, in possession played into West Ham's hands. You said we had them where we wanted them at one one, but we lost too many balls and allowed them to counterattack. We lost a bit of patience. And yes, they did they, because West Ham took the lead again on a stunning counter. Yeah, fantastic counsel and the counter was on for them all day as Liverpool pressed, you know, Trent Alexander Arnold pushes up so high. And there's space behind him. And you know, look West Ham, you know, took advantage. And at the end, that sort of you know, wonderful moment on the break. You don't see enough one on ones with the keeper. And for now, puts it away with Alison got off hand to it or a bit of his bum to it or some part of his body to it, but across the line. Yeah, I've got a credit Bowen English Taylor 12th and looky like a off link to Liverpool who went on a barreling run tracking three Liverpool defenders with him. Honestly, it was like watching peak Earl Campbell NFL videos. It was it was remarkable. Liverpool through on Tiago. It's been as a rescue attempt to be like scatman carruthers in The Shining. His inconsistent form at Liverpool is one of the most fascinating under the cess stories of the past two seasons. West Ham kept coming. And that third goal was a stunning a stunning exclamation point. Yeah, I mean, Jürgen Klopp can complain all he wants about the first goal, but why he then wouldn't adjust realizing that this is a strategy from West Ham, doesn't put defenders on the post, certainly not a defender on the far post, no defenders, you know, goal side of Alison as he's going for the ball, and Trent is just watching as Kurt Zuma peels around the back and nods it in to do what I've seen him do a hundred times for Chelsea, great goal. Yeah, he learned that Everton arrive. I mean, you saw him coming from for miles away, you scream at the television, you saw that it was like a train. He had time to build up so much speed. Head that ball a beautiful bow and curling deep to the back of the goal now. I think it was an in swinger. And Alice on again scrambling cute bubbles cumania. It felt like the London Stadium, which has been let's be honest largely terrible atmospherically. Suddenly fell as close and frenzy this to the old bullying ground, then it was magic. Magic, you win. I did love this. He asked movies after the game. This is classic. How hard must your team train on these brilliant set pieces? And I love this. Moisture said, no. Essentially, we got big lads who like to get at it. That's great. Pete Davy Moyes David, just given the chance to make his job seem like genius. Essentially the broadcaster is saying, David Moyes, can you big up yourself in this moment of glory? And he just, he's just like, nah, the game's simple, set pieces, Michael Antonio on the counter, defensive organization, that is moist ball, three shots on target. Three goals, a possibility stream. Fantastic goal, but it still wasn't over rod you sort of felt like Liverpool could get back into this game and they did difficult rigging with an amazing spin in the box. Yeah, that old bastard it was an amazing goal. I was like, west I'm watching. He will score off any body part. Don't sleep on. And by the way, moist teams. Everton I mean, inevitably would sit back deeper and deeper and deeper and concede, I've seen a hundred times whenever I had something to lose. We would lose it. It was a movie. So over and over again. And this was a huge test of whether he's learned any lessons at all. And Liverpool did have their chance in injury time really well worked free kick manne ghosting in at the back, but heading excruciatingly actually gloriously who am I kidding wide? When it was actually harder to head wide, then hit the target, and that was at Davos. Is David Moyes beaming at the final whistle one of the truly disturbing but wonderful images of the season so far. Yeah, it was wonderful. And you know, very hard to read Jürgen Klopp's. Face at the end, you know, it was it was confounding, I think, for the Liverpool manager, what had just happened to him. His West Ham are beaten Liverpool, man city, man united Tottenham and Leicester this season. If you had already soiled himself in the Manchester United job, we would all be linking him to it right now, as you say, one 7 of their first 11 games of the season are ahead of Liverpool now, incredible season and again, the jury has seen delirium bubbles sweet Caroline West Ham fans who have had glory baked into their history, so many false dawns, the Dmitry piet flickering wonder just raise my bud to your success sustain it please few fan bases deserve it more. But constant glories grueling and tough. You know, banner the news this morning actually as an ACL injury, he'll be out for a couple of months, news at highlights the challenge of the depth of the squad winning not exactly something David Moyes has done before. Are they serious title contenders, David? Yeah, bring in Jesse Lingard on loan again. I don't think they're serious title contenders. But I probably would have same said the same thing about Leicester in November of their title winning season. So you never know, but I feel like there are three teams in man city Liverpool and Chelsea, who are so good and certainly in the case of city and Chelsea so deep. That they're going to have too much for them by the end of the season. One of those three will have too much for them by the end of the season. You never really know. But you do kind of know Liverpool. We should button on them so dominant last month just really are 5 now after 5 now suddenly stalling the first loss of the season there. Remarkable 25 match unbeaten streak over West Ham leapfrog over them into third place. There is a susceptibility David defensively. They are leaking goals. At a rate they have not before with big verge. Two of the goals from set pieces only one of them from open play those set piece goals seem correctable with a different defensive lineup.

"Going to be. He's going to be amazing. That's the final piece of the jigsaw. He's going to be incredible because technically is amazing. But we all know when Liverpool air strength, especially in midfield because they don't score any midfield players live for Liverpool, just do not score but the work rate that they put in in the hunger and their tenacity they feed marnay, they feed for me, no. He was missing today. They feed sadio marne. When Thiago come off the bench today, when Liverpool were in a hurry, you sort of slowed it down a little bit too much. News planes no look passes, which you can do when you're cruising in a game and you're winning one or two and ill, but I don't know he needs to get going for me. But that was a performance that you've got to give west arm credit. They would have been distraught at the end of the game of Saudi amani had brought that back to three three because Liverpool, they deserve nothing out of that game. Allison, a football three, just on that point. I don't think I don't put the blame at him for the second. And listen, I understand why people feel that way, but I also see it from a goalkeepers perspective where you make a good effort at the ball. You get just enough that you take some piece off of it so it looks worse than it is. You actually will get less blame if you don't get as much on the ball. And so it's a street situation for you to find yourself in. But to the point about Liverpool, Liverpool considered two goals from set pieces here. And if I'm going to put on going to them or if I'm using club one and where do I go wrong? That clearly is a weakness of this because you either Van Dyke or bean you are the only players with any kind of height and far too far too many and on this occasion should Alexander Arnold, even then don't want to don't want to get into that nitty Gritty that battle inside that box from a set piece. So that's where that's where you can get your joy. And then if you manage it to launch a counter attack as it did, nobody picks up for now as it did. You get even more. But the initial question on double donut franc said with Van Dyck, there were times where Van Dyck and Michael Antonio were one and one. Up against each other. I have never seen anyone look as comfortable playing against Michael Antonio as Virgil Van Dyke. It is scary, how good a player he is. And for me, despite Liverpool's defensive walls, certainly on today's show and he's responsible for none of it. West Ham, of course, exceeding all expectations. And it incredible season off the back of their success last year. And we were scratching it. What is it? What have they done really that's really pushed them forward. Obviously, they've brought in a lot of fresh players, but maybe it isn't the players that they've brought in. Maybe it was the players that they let go, or maybe the players that retired that have reading the catalyst for their surge in success of West Ham over the last couple of seasons. And you kind of think, well, who is it? Who that has left? And what was that record like before and after? Maybe if.

"What a player rodge, the irons continuing to get results in big games, proving last season was no fluke. London Derby soaked in both aspiration and fear in equal measure spurs entered how soon we forget with two straight wins, which had changed the mood made fans believe they were poised to saw again. But West Ham. There, European endeavors, they have knackered themselves by winning in Europe. I think the two previous match weeks, they'd lost immediately and so there was a feeling this would be spurs day, but it couldn't be further than the truth. West Ham had all the possession and the initiative spurs grapple to match their intensity, try to flicker on the counter, had their chances, but just this team unable to summon the final pass. Yeah, their spurs looked awful. It's why maybe exactly the team for oligarch to be taking his limping man united to next weekend. They should be the next manager. That would be amazing. By the way, spurs are an old lady just they love to attack. They love just, you know, just entertainment. They don't expect to win. That's historically. That DNA, that DNA is what all these made for, but my lord credit West Ham made spurs pay off a set piece. The very place where I believe for the last 5 goals have come from so much power so much height, so many units on that West Ham team David. Yeah, very, very physical football team. And a team that clearly does boys love playing with each other. I love their goal celebrations. It's just oh my God. Well it was he swung in the corner Mora and Kane, both missed it and Antonio, he don't miss not since. Arguably David Jesse Lingard in his pomp has been a guy who seems to score solely so we can unleash the Saudi like Michael Antonio. I've got to get him on the show. Break him down. It's dirty dancing baby left. Eerie drop the neo bullet Dodge man is putting in the hours on the training ground day. Janky puts here this much hours on the sell these as you do on leg bank. That's a lot of hours, rod. The legs are working hard on the lunges. But he's also got natural born talent for it, like he's a man who's full of joy. Yes, as Bob Dylan once said about himself, I'm just a song and dance man for Tottenham fans really the agony lay in how little came by way of response for both of their manager who didn't make a serpent till the 84th minute and on the field where they still lack a creative brain. We've said this in pod after pod the loss of Christian Eriksen years ago still hurts his team and after the positivity of wins against villa and Newcastle, this 5 wins four losses in their first 9 games under nune, what her hair not a shot on goal in the second half, even when they were down, but West Ham, three wins, three clean sheets, David Moyes, what a week. What a job, his team are in fourth favor and deserve to be there. You know, David Moyes also seems to be having a good time. We're seeing him smiling a lot, like being upbeat in post match interviews. There was new teeth, not fit, properly. It's like possible. Let's give him smile. Let's give his hand 'cause I will say redemption. That is a redemption story when I think of David Moyes. I think of the Rudyard Kipling poem if you can keep your head when all about you are losing theirs and blaming it on you. If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, but make allowance for their doubting too. You know, I look at him and I might you know he teach attire him. He deserves a crack at a big job, right, David. Yeah, maybe Sir Alex was right. He was the right man for Manchester United. Arsenal three Aston Villa won Mickey Arteta makes it 6 unbeaten in the league as arsenal cruise past the villa on Friday night football. Thomas parte had an over rebound from his own penalty and a blitz creeking Emile Smith Rowe. Does he know any other way to krieg? His end to end counter put arsenal up three nil villa pulled one back Vera Jacob Ramsey top bins delivery, but two little too late for the Berber outfit. Arsenal are up to tenth. They haven't lost in the league since that 5 mil beatdown by city in August. He noted to blitzkrieg, he knows how to Ali krieg, but we've got our arsenal back. Arsenal face a game to me. This was a really crucial one in their season. You remember the late embers of vengas regime were like just a M.C. Escher staircase in which a corner seemed to be turned on into turn three more quickly and end up in the same dark place. And Mikhail Arteta's team seemed in danger of replicating that. Yeah, we overwhelmed them. But then we limped to drawers against Brighton and palace. And this Philip thrashed arsenal three nil last season, but you wouldn't have known that from the early exchanges, this Devo, this first half, also as good as I have seen them this season, this was Arteta ball, building slowly intricately from the back, Smith Rowe, just and debutante Tavares overloading the left. It was confident. It was joyous. It befuddled it humbled Aston Villa. Yeah, I mean, there's some observers were still not very impressed by arsenal in this game, but I thought they were superb. You know, once again, some serious question marks have got to be asked about Aston Villa and what exactly is going on over there as they seem to be collapsing somewhat. But I thought arsenal were great. And I like the kind of football they're playing. It's almost like total football. Yeah, God bless part a first goal for his club flicking on the corner delirium and also fans know this team has started so many games well, only to will, especially after scoring first. So it was another real litmus test and arsenal passed it, although again totter know if they did so merely because as you're hinting, villa were so oddly subdued so uncalibrated, they almost seemed like they were drugged. Big signing went there, sloppy, in possession. Arsenal made it too when Matt target consider the soft penalty. Name another player in world football who creates more goals than Matt target. I mean, the only things we've said about Matt target all season. We haven't even referred to the villa frat house, which seems to be, you know, but perhaps it's been shut down for breaking COVID-19. It's been sent off campus. We only talk about target receiving yellow cards scoring own goals and conceding penalties. There's nothing else. You know what that means. He's going to score a hat trick against Everton guaranteed in the rematch. But God love Tina might give away penalties. Here, Emmy Martinez saved from Uber is XT mate, but the Japanese and lash tomb, the rebound, leaving the goalkeeper in absolute agony on the floor, a sight, which I think many Arsenal fans save it almost more than the three points themselves, though for the record. I've always believed rebounded penalty goals should only count half villa. You said, what's happened to them? I can't help but think watching how defensively vulnerable they've come and link it completely conspiracy theory esque to John Terry leaving the coaching team. Nothing to do with grills. Just John Terry gone, but now we should give John Terry credit. He's definitely a defensive master. We take it in the face. No only both organize them, but also, you know, governed through threat. And imminent danger. And some of the tooth of the villa bench seat of disappeared with him. Yeah, regular lessons will remember watched a John Terry Aston Villa defensive drill for an hour in which he just had half the defenders blast the ball at the other half are defenders and shouted at them as they coward. We do not turn our backs on the shot, we've taken it in the face which I just love. This is like classic. Tactics, what tactics just take it? The face. Look, I'm gonna say villa did a little bit better for the back and Concacaf under of Leon Bailey on, but they pushed forward leaving Uber to flick Smith row in on goal three nil with a Ming's deflection to boot. We're a meal, Smith rose team now at hessian tweeted. Did NBCSN pop in an arsenal game tape from 2004 because that's what it feels like. Villa, three straight losses. They looked very, very kazu, but Arsenal fans overscore a lack of impressing youth bedding in a weekend that began with happiness..
