"This is me postulating and trying to figure out in real time. Just one other thing to think about. And then there's the basketball fit. Certainly, he would be an upgrade over Russell Westbrook. And if I can self report, you're never supposed to admit, especially as a fill in hack that you were wrong, but the old Twitter machine doesn't lie as the kids say there are receipts. I could not have been more wrong. In my analysis of Russell Westbrook to the Lakers. I believe I said things like, what a great fit. I was misguided in thinking that he might be willing to come off the bench, but that was me giving an egomaniac and it takes one to no one. The benefit of a doubt, I did not think that he would fall apart as much as he did last year, and we saw it in real time, and it was tough to watch. And Westbrook is a proud person tired of being called west brick, it's juvenile, but it does seem appropriate. And when it goes, it's hard to get it back. So yes, strictly from the standpoint of X's and O's, Kyrie Irving would be a positive addition to the Lakers. Now, the problem is because they have all this dough that's going to be locked up in whatever their quote unquote big three is going to be. Remember, Russ opted in for 40 plus million. Kyrie is going to want to contract extension. That leaves the Lakers very shaky on the margins. With no margin for error, knowing that LeBron, after being a cyborg, the guy was superhuman, throughout the majority of his career, will finally kick, tick, tick tick, here comes father Todd. Breaking down more frequently. If I can just again play psychologist on the radio, I think LeBron also, once he won that championship, you can hang an asterisk on it, all you want to in the bubble still counts other banner for the Lakers two stare up in the rafters and appreciate he had achieved his goal. Anything beyond the title they won in Orlando, his a bonus, and clearly LeBron is just as consumed with his business pursuits, all of them is there any project he's not involved with? My goodness. I got to get my semblance of an agent to get rich Paul on the phone. LeBron is very good at making money. And I'm not trying to claim he's not committed. He's still all in. You see the videos of him looking like he's in terrific shape working out with Kevin Love, but at this stage of his career, he's more apt to take a game off here and there. Remember, LeBron never did that. And I gave him the world of credit. No load management for the king. Believing the traditional notion that if I go to Denver, or let's pick a spot that he goes to once a year. If I'm going to Indiana, at some kid, pleaded with mom and dad to spend big money to see me, I owe them to show up and I admire that because we're seeing less and less of that in professional sports. But with aging LeBron and unfortunately, an injury prone on being nice for Anthony Davis, let's just tell it like it is. He can not stay healthy. And it's terrible. And you might have seen Kevin Garnett call him out, saying, we talked about you and I covered Anthony Davis, the final four in New Orleans, and remember he grew late. He was a guard in high school. That's why he can handle when healthy. Conventional wisdom said he was going to win multiple MVP awards. As an individual, just can't stay healthy. So I don't know how the arrival of Kyrie Irving changes those facts, which you can't debate over. LeBron's older and AD, Anthony Davis is always hurt. And then there's the Kyrie knucklehead factor. And let me ask you this. If he's rewarded with a contract extension and you have to lock them up just to make sure he has the possibility of being happy, do you think he's going to be more or less erratic? He'll be on his best behavior, although I haven't seen that in a long time, but human nature says he'll do the right things to get paid. And then he'll be Kyrie again. Because he just strikes me as someone who enjoys being a contrarian. I'm not going to take cheap shots. I don't know if he has mental illness. I don't know what's going on with him. I am not qualified to come up with an analysis nor would that be appropriate. But I can say he's flaky and just strikes most reasonable people as a strange dude, that's why Kevin Durant doesn't want to deal with him anymore. And who looks like the genius here? James Harden. Because he sniffed that out quickly. James Harden is good a few things. Eating while he's working on that. Hanging out the club? Recognizing situations. He does not want to be a part of. Get me out of Houston. Now get me out of Brooklyn. I think it's going to work to a degree in Philadelphia, not because of Hardin, but because it was flexibility, financially. So here's Durant. And where's he going? I don't know. Where do I want him to go just from a basketball standpoint? I'd love to see him go to Miami because I think the east needs more star power. I don't want to see Durant gravitate back towards the west to rant staying in the east now, gives us a Miami team that almost beat Boston, my goodness. I filled in for rich Memorial Day. I'm working the night before coming up with, all right, Boston looks like it's a done deal. They're going to the NBA Finals and they nearly gave the game away 11 two run late in the game by Miami butler made the decision. I don't think it was right decision, but he knew he was spent, goes for three in the win. You know the rest of the story. Let's say it's butler to Brooklyn, you still have Durant, bam adebayo, Tyler hero 6 man of the year in the NBA wants to be a starter. You force allow me to get in better shape. You still have pieces like Victor Oladipo. I think you've done this haslam's going to play until he's a 140 years old. I would have Miami Heat, second only to the bucks ahead of the Celtics right there with the sixers, making the Eastern Conference much more fascinating. But if you're going to summarize things, even if Durant goes to Phoenix, warriors are a superior team, and I just don't want to entertain the notion because I think we'd all, not all of us, but I think even a lot of warrior fans, the majority of basketball fans would say, come on. Durant going back to the warriors and I understand the logic. Warriors have the best potential packaged offer. You can talk about pool, Wiggins, wiseman, all the picks, but I don't think, and I'm speaking as someone who spent a lot of time working in the San Francisco Bay Area and I used to be a broadcast..

"If you run through it, Boston has a 6 toughest schedule the rest of the way. I have a really hard time being dismissive of a Milwaukee. But Milwaukee has the toughest schedule of all 30 teams remaining. And they're now, I think, 29 and 8 with all three guys when drew, Middleton, who went off today in Giannis all play together. They're like, okay, because the other thing too is like you look through all the top teams and who gets to complain every single fan base gets to complain about not having their guys. I mean, between Miami, butler's miss 20, Larry Smith 17 bands miss 25 and they're still going to be the one seed. You got Brooklyn, KD's miss 27, Kyrie's miss 39 games. Milwaukee Giannis is missed 11 Middleton 12 drew 13. So they've actually been healthier because you hear a lot of Milwaukee like, oh, we don't have brook Lopez. At this point, the brook Lopez numbers don't count comparison to the other ones. Phoenix is going to miss their most important player for like two months. Draymond, we have no idea about. You know, so Memphis has been relatively healthy. If we're trying to bring out to how many teams are actually tighter contenders and Boston between Tatum and brown, that's only 19 missed games. Like Boston may be benefiting too from just having way more continuity than these other teams. And then you throw in Chicago who you take out their defensive back court, they're a mess now defensively. I don't like their defensive matchups against bigger wins. I've been saying it now for a while and I think after the most recent loss are the bull zero and 13 against the top three teams in each conference or something like that. They don't beat anybody really good. They know. Yeah. And it's hard for me when you get into the playoffs as much as I love the Chicago story Bill. When you get to the place and you have that kind of blemish on your resume, it's a great story, but I don't know how serious I can take you. So I think three is totally in play for them, whether it's for Boston, meaning Milwaukee and then, you know, Philadelphia is still going to win a ton of games here with heart. One thing I like with this Boston team, we always talk about malleable rosters with playoff teams, right? Boston can go big. If you look at it against Memphis in the fourth quarter and Jalen wasn't in the game, but they were playing time lord and Horford and grant Williams with Tatum and smart, right? They supersized. And it was effective. We're doing it today against Brooklyn, where they have brown and Tatum, smart and then time lord and Horford. And if you have curry and Kyrie out there for the nets, at some point, one of those guys have to guard somebody plus Bruce Brown is short, too. So I was watching that game today thinking, ironically, the guy that the nets need to handle Tatum has been Simmons, who has the size to do it, who's, you know, if his head's right, one of the four or 5 best defensive players in the league, and yet we have no idea if we're going to see him. But I do think the Celtics match up pretty well with Brooklyn. Filio will be a different story because the embiid hearted thing and all the free throws and all that stuff. But really encouraging stuff to Celtics thing, you could feel it coming the last few weeks. It started to look better and better. And then these last two games were just something feels different from Tatum. Do you think there's anything with him being the all star starter? And that kind of last sign of, you know, now you're really there. Now you're on the top level. Guys are looking at a little differently because I feel like coming out of that. There's a different level of confidence for him. Maybe I'm overthinking it. You love that stuff. I'm dismissive of it. I'm not sure who's right. Yeah. I'm serious. I'm not saying like you're wrong about it. Think about when the streak started too. Oh, okay, Miami's missing all their guys. You know, Charlotte was missing Heyward's been missing. But you know what I mean? Like in the beginning of the streak, they put this winning streak together and you go, hey, any nice positivity from this team means something considering how bad it felt when they're below 540 games into this deal. But I still was nitpicking it to myself because I'd watched the game and be like, oh, this team was missing this guy. This team was missing this. Like, all right, cool. You won 5 in a row. All right, the defensive numbers you thought you'd be better, but it's not going to matter unless you're just a really, they were so predictable and.

"This morning by Joe forton bar, as we celebrated our second to last bowl game last night and then a limited card, but the Lakers maybe starting to pick things up a little bit. You know, I didn't go through all of it. So I might have to check this out, but it feels like the major line shifts from all ended up hitting. Now all is obviously me exaggerating, but last night we saw a huge shift in Kansas state and they just blew the doors off of LSU. So maybe when everyone's talking about closing line value, you just have to get the last move, follow all that, make your place. Something to keep in mind because like with the opt outs and COVID and everything else, there were some layups just based online moves if you're not tracking that stuff individually each day. Yeah, last night, I mean, I did have case date on a good number 6 and a half and 7, but I was cute with the first half under, and it just, but there were a couple 4000 that should have been stopped. It just kind of painful. But late TV by LSU. Oh, I had the team total, and I don't get me wrong. That's one of the worst pizza I've ever had. Second half team total. God. We turned the page to NBA card that's pretty stacked. A lot of moving parts as always is the case in the NBA. I'm looking at Miami, butler's not going to play. And this line, they started as a dog and moved to minus two. There's talk of Lillard being shut down Chauncey bills was asked about it. He said they're discussing it. I wonder if that's the steam or it's just that Portland's not very good at Miami is. Hard to get a read on that. Obviously, when this post, it might be three by then. But minus two, I was looking at that trying to get a piece of this. I always like the warriors. -5 and a half in Dallas. I never bet against them. That tough for me to go against. Those are the two games that jump out to me. What about yourself? I got a couple here. I'll piggyback off that warrior's mavericks play. So the total open is lowest two O 8. Got its highest two 15, which is where Caesar has it right now. I would play the under. I think I can understand why everyone jumped on the over at two O 8 low number considering the warriors have been putting up a lot of points as of late. They've been playing in some high scoring games. But once you get up to two 15, this is too many when you consider what you're dealing with in Dallas. They're one of the best under teams in the NBA this year. 24, 12 and one to the under. That's because they bring a top ten defense rating, but they're dead last in pace. This is the slowest basketball team on earth right now. Golden State still number one in defensive rating, middle of the pack and pace. So once this got up to two 15, I slid in on the under and over I'm gonna play tonight to 28 rockets in Washington. These are just two abysmal defenses. 23rd or worse in defensive rating for both of them. 29th or worst in points allowed Houston is fourth and pace this season. And if you look at some of these Houston gains, the numbers are just through the roof in terms of final scores because they're flying up and down the court trying to score but like, they play the sixers the other night, 246 total points. The nuggets before that, two 35, the heat before that, two 30. The Lakers before that two 55, two 22 was Charlotte before that and on and on down the list. They've been in some really high scoring games very dysfunctional. So those are two right out of the gate that I'm playing over in Houston Washington two 28 under two 15 warriors and mavericks. Are you doing anything with the nets Kyrie's back tonight? They're laying 8. Yeah, I kind of like them, but the number feels a little too high. I think they're gonna be seamless. I really do think they're gonna be just fine. His IQ is so off the charts. Maybe I'll charge his little strong, but he's got a high IQ. I think he'll fit in. I think it'll be fine. I really do. And then that's needle, right? That he'll be a positive impact. There might be a little rust initially, but all in all, I think it's gonna be a net positive for Brooklyn, but it is probably a price I'm not willing to pay. You know, it's a really, really bad spot for Indiana. They've lost 5 straight. So right out of the game, they're not playing well. They're losing those 5 straight by an average of 6 per game. So they haven't been competitive but second half of a back to back. Fourth game in 6 nights. So you got to consider all that stuff right now. Going against a Brooklyn team that let's face it, they're probably Kyrie's probably gonna be pun intended as shot in the arm for them tonight. They've lost three straight with the spread this big and the potential for a blowout. I haven't seen a lot of Irving props yet. In fact, I haven't seen any. I'm thinking about going under once I see some, you'll probably have them a little bit inflated because the public's going to be excited about his return. But if this is a blowout, you're not going to need to play him 35 minutes. And you're not going to want to play in probably a ton of minutes anyway. So I might be looking to some under Irving props. Not to say he's not going to play well. I agree with you. High IQ player who's going to fit in seamlessly..
