When was the last time you went to Italy? Well, because of my work, I don't get back to the way my mother does. You know, my aunts and uncles live there. My cousins live there. My mother came over in 54. But the last time I was there was six years ago, and that's just because of my career. I travel every single week. Right, of course. It's nonstop. And then my kids, you know, we dedicate ourselves to whatever is going on with our kids. So this year, for a big trip, my daughter's heavily involved in sports and she had a huge international tournament in Asia. So we went to Asia for three weeks this year, which was outrageous. Which, strangely enough, you know, the Asian culture is they have a great love of Italian culture, especially in Hong Kong and actually in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. And I went into some of the best Italian food I had. Some of the best Italian restaurants I went into were in Asia. Wow. And I would walk into these places and my wife will tell you it was unbelievable. And a maitre d', a host, somebody would walk up to me and speak Italian, you know, just on site. And the many Romans and Nabalitans, you know, people from Naples, over there who were in the food and hospitality industry, and some of the best restaurants. I had a wonderful time over there experiencing my native culture through their eyes. It was wonderful. Restaurant Tosca in Hong Kong, and a couple others, Oto Meza in Hong Kong, and Marini's in Malaysia, and wonderful people, and it was tremendous. So six years ago was your last trip to Italy? Yeah, it was in my aunt and uncle, yeah. And it fell in Italy, do you know? Yeah, yeah. I'm curious if it's a big... I usually, when I would go over more consistently, I'd be there in March and we'd be watching March Madness and The International. I have relatives there, but we don't get into the sports, you know, I have relatives in Sicily. Oh, really? Yeah, they haven't asked, they were here a couple, they were here about a year ago. Yeah. They did not ask any, I should have asked them what, how American sports are there if they pay attention to it. The only thing they wanted to talk about when they were here was Trump, but I won't get into that. Yeah, they're fascinated by politics over there. I'm not, I loathe politics. When you have a deranged president, it causes havoc all over the country.

And in fact, I would actually argue there's too many ways of looking at wages, right? I mean, I think a lot of people made a big deal about yesterday's 80 P report with the job changers number still remaining pre firm. It's funny to me that people talk about how it's at 15%. Yes, but it's down from like 17%, right? I mean, and again, I'm not saying that's not a big number. It's an enormous number. But if you look at the Atlanta fed's wage tracker number, they have the same similar number, sort of a job changer number. That number is half to pay. So I just think just as a PSA, likely to listen be careful with all these wage numbers and the rates that they're running at, but what I think is definitive. No matter which one you want to look at, is they're all doing the same thing. They're all rolling over. Now, again, I think people here rolling over and they immediately jump to this sort of end result of, oh, well, that means things are really going to get tossed in the trash. That's not what we expect. I mean, we expect that. There will be continued slowing. But you're getting back basically toward where we were pre-pandemic. That's a totally reasonable outcome. I think that's a great outcome. I mean, that's probably where we're going with this. So if you look at our growth forecast over the course of 23, it's again consistent with what I've just said. It's not like we expect economic activity is going to fall into the tanker here. It's not going to. We think it actually be fairly decent. But it's going to slow. Tom, link together today's labor report and your relative optimism there with a hugely accommodative trend for whichever financial conditions index you want to look at. Bloomberg BFC I this morning is a shocking negative .19 standard deviations. Link the new accommodation trend with today's labor report. Yeah. Look, I think it was as deep as what minus a standard deviation, I think, right? There's negative one. Yeah, exactly. I mean, look, I think that the bottom line is we're still in a very accommodative backdrop. That's just that is the reality of where we are. We think that as a result of that, again, it's there's an irony in all of this on some level. I mean, Q four, the Q four that just passed. I mean, that might have been, I will get that number. And I guess another couple of weeks. That means then the strongest quarter for growth in 2022. I mean, who would have thought that? Sort of given everything that's happened here. What we know as the sort of the quarter was coming to an end, the consumer was losing some momentum, right? I mean, and I think that loss of momentum will certainly drag on into Q one. And again, I think you want to be a positive number. I just think it's going to be less positive than there was. Hold on a second. So the level of accommodation, I think still remains fairly accommodative. Tom, I want to get your sense and I was really looking forward to having you, especially after Priya Meza. I'm trying to square this idea that there's real strength in the market. You're seeing a bigger than expected jobs number that will come down the pike in a little less than an hour. And yet you still think that the fed is torpedoing the economy by continuing to raise rates and that they shouldn't go much further. And that really they've done enough. How do you square those two ideas? Yeah, I think it's actually pretty easy. So one of the things that we've I think we need to be mindful of is that there has been an enormous amount of accommodation removal put into place. I mean, this is the most aggressive hiking cycle that we've seen. What we need to be mindful of is, what is the fed really trying to achieve here? They're trying to basically slow inflation. I mean, I think that's been pretty clear. And the reality on that is inflation is slowing

I'm thirty eight years old so according to all medical journals and doctors i would be what is known as a geriatric mother that is so fucked fucked auto fucked up. Fuck that right. What what piece of shit man came up with that anyway. Getting pregnant turned out to be a lot harder than i had anticipated. After getting blood drawn several times it was determined that i was just not going to be able to get pregnant on my own. I had two doctors. Tell me that it'd be a cold day in hell before i would be able to conceive. Naturally i mean i'm paraphrasing. But that was basically. The i had three eggs left two of them had dementia and the third one failing kidney and heart disease. It was devastating. I was put on thirty plus vitamins a day and was scheduled to meet with a fertility specialist. It was gonna cost us. Tens of thousands of dollars and i'd have to inject myself with all sorts of medicines and hormones to be able to get pregnant. Did i really wanna put my body through that after going through a brain tumor removal. Fuck no friends. I don't know how it happened or why it happened. But apparently had a fourth healthy egg hiding behind the sick ones. I am now twelve weeks pregnant with a healthy baby. The heartbeat is strong. We didn't end up needing any treatment whatsoever. I'm saying meza. Now that's a miracle. I'm so happy to report that you too will be. I'm so happy to report the utility parents yet again to a new digi p baby in march twenty twenty two. I wanted to thank you for keeping me company and providing me with laughter comfort while hugging the toilet bowl. The last couple of weeks listening to you to discuss julie's recovery from surgery and dissecting how jeopardy works has gotten me through the first trimester. I just adore you guys. Most people play mozart for their unborn. Babies not me. it's all julian brandy all day long. That baby's gonna come out and just like what. The tax cuts take this gift card and raise a bean burrito to the newest addition to the family. And save it for me. Because i legitimately cannot eat any of that right now. And it's such a fucking bummer. And drink all the champagne all of it and as usual brandy. You're right if i have a baby girl. She will definitely be named after echo. How could i not honor her. Yeah so so so so happy for you. That is such great news. Just the fertility journey can be fucking. I'm sure just a a nightmare over feeling like a failure on every level like not just in your own body and now you feel like a failure because you don't have the money and just all of it it just and so it's just so so so great. We couldn't be happier to have a to have a new baby hopes by now. Just so that. I can say that i plan this. Okay okay now interrupt. Our regularly scheduled. I know i went through a couple years of boredom and uselessness. And because i'd look at my calendar and there was nothing on my calendar and i was used to a totally filled calendar and so it i viewed as a reflection on my value. Yeah that's a. That's a depressing place to get to on a lot of people go there. It's really important therefore to land some structure like lansing things that you're doing in june every week whether it's simple things like you're having breakfast and Reading email the news crew doing laundry or you work out a certain number of times a week whether it's biking or machines and swimming or whatever it may be where you're meeting a friend for lunch a couple of times a week to get yourself out of the house or if you've got a spouse you decide you'll have a date night yourselves or with another couple or maybe you lay on our recreation like bridge or my john or something like that crossword puzzles. I have friends that are into crossword puzzles totaling illinois. And but you put chum on your calendar your is your isn't the white rabbit in the snowstorm right to starting to put some parts starting to put some trees in your in your in your white snowstorm exactly right and that really and once you've done that and as you add things to your life gradually as you prototype and see what you like.

There should be a diagram, and it's going to show a vacuum hose routing diagram. And what's happening is on your air conditioning system. All your vent controls are controlled by engine vacuum, and there's diagrams and they're in the switches controlled control where the vacuum goes. The poll on it actually to open and close event or a valve to direct air. So what happens is you probably have a broken vacuum line going to the reserve canister of of the vacuum reserve. So when you step on the gas engine vacuum drops to zero, which is normal. There's no vacuum because you've opened the throttle body. And if the the line to that vacuum canister is broken or disconnected. There's no reserves in there so that those those, um Dash pots or or actuators that are relying on vacuum. There's no suction left because it's gone away. So Randy for you, I bet that's an easy fix under the hood, you might be able to do with no parts or piece of vacuum hose and and and I bet you can solve that problem. You want to be looking for the, um, diagram the diagram of the hood? Yeah, the diagram under the hood. So so hopefully that that helps you out, Randy.
