More on that first, though, a check of the east with AccuWeather dot com meteorologist Carl babinski. Much of the eastern seaboard today will be getting a break from unsettled weather, which was so widespread Sunday Night in early yesterday from New England down into the Carolinas. Today, the big story will be a storm system that is taking shape in the western plains of Texas and in the southern rockies. This was a storm system that produced some snow in northern Arizona yesterday. It has brought some heavy snow to eastern New Mexico overnight. Winter storm warnings extend from eastern New Mexico all the way through the Panhandle of Texas and central Oklahoma into Arkansas and Missouri. During the next 24 to 36 hours, these will be examples of places which can pick up between four and 6 inches of snow. And those areas bounded by winter weather advisories which cover areas not too far from the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex, parts of southeastern Kansas and northern Missouri. These places will get a bit less snow, but still enough to cause them travel disruptions. Thunderstorms are another concern along the Gulf Coast as this system emerges and pulls out to the east. There are enhanced risk areas for severe weather today along the upper Texas coast and along much of Louisiana's coast, some storms could spawn a few tornadoes as well as cause them very heavy rain. Across the northern plains and rockies, dry weather will prevail albeit chilly in the northwest, there are various air stagnation advisories in effect because there's little or no wind across much of Oregon primarily. California dry albeit on the chili side and in the southeast, some frosted in effect for northeastern Florida this morning, but by and large today a dry day with temperatures mostly in the 60s and the 70s and the Carolinas it will be a bit cooler and mostly in the 50s. "System located in the southwest is going to be the focal point of a lot of nasty weather today and tonight. Not only is there heavy snow occurring in the mountains of eastern New Mexico, but winter storm warnings in winter weather advisories stretch from the Panhandle of Texas and near the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex all the way through Oklahoma and into Missouri. They want to point out that in the wake of the storm, some cold air is pouring into Arizona and there is a freeze warning in effect this morning for the greater Phoenix metropolitan area where loads of V in the lower 30s also today not to be overlooked. There could be some strong or severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging winds and tornadoes along the Gulf Coast. The national severe storm forecasting laboratory has posted enhanced risk areas between Houston and Corpus Christi, Texas and along much of the Louisiana coast. As this storm system pulls out of the southern rockies and into the southern plains, all kinds of things will be happening today. Snow and ice accumulating a few inches in Oklahoma and north Texas, strong storms along the Gulf Coast. Where is this storm headed? Well, it eventually be pushing into the central flame states where snow is expected later today and tonight in the greater St. Louis area. Elsewhere in the country, there is an advisory for a stagnant air in the northwest just not much wind in the next couple of days so poor air quality is expected in Portland, Oregon, and the east things will be quiet today, but snow is expected to arrive tomorrow, as well as some heavy rain along the eastern seaboard. We're talking to him in regards to income during retirement, Great topic conversation and I don't want to waste any more time. Let's get right back to questions. Josh. This one's coming from Byron in Weatherford. Want to work part time during retirement. Will this affect what Social Security pays me? Sir Vyron when you are working And receiving Social Security benefits. The answer is, it depends. It depends on if he reached for retirement age, so full retirement age is based on your birthday. And there's a chart. You can just Google it on full retirement age for Social Security and tells you when you would be eligible. But for many people, it's somewhere 66 somewhere between 66 67. And so once you reach that full retirement age, you can work as much as you want. And it doesn't affect the amount that you received from Social Security. If you start drawing Social Security benefits before then, before your full retirement age in the earliest days that she can draw by Rennes 62. And then you continue to work, then they may reduce your benefits based on some thresholds. That if you go over there is a reduction in your benefits. And again, even though Google that and it will tell you what those thresholds are, but So the bottom line is, if is, if you're at full retirement age, you can work as much as you want. If you're before that age and you're receiving so security benefits. Then they may reduce it based on the amount that you're earning from your job now. You have unlimited options. So with a 41 K, you're participant in a plan. You're subject to the plan rules in an IRA you you're the owner. And so the only rules that you're up against the IRS rules so you can take it out monthly. You can take it out annually. You can continue to defer it until you're until you're required to touch. Start taking money out at age 72. So IRA is certainly more versatile in many regards to the 41 K, but other things to think about are the fees that you pay. You know, and also options for investment. So our race typically have for I raise have unlimited investment options were for one case typically have limited investment options. So yeah, there are some things to think about. But in the main most people, most people roll it to their IRA, if nothing else to consolidate it under one umbrella. Certainly you do have options. And you you should research those options. A new investments will pay you a lifetime income and they'll pay it d d So with with the noodles, you have different types of annuities, you have different ways to draw the income. Keep in mind that the guarantee for the income is based on the claims, paying ability of the insurance companies. So if you're going to use an annuity, you want to make sure that you research the insurance company make sure there aren't operated insurance company So I would say for most people who are looking for a guaranteed income stream. If they don't have a pinch in the annuity is the way to do it..

Dallas County Adds 45 New COVID-19 Deaths Thursday
