Use the REPLY Method to Write Cold Emails
"Today. I've got another killer tip for you. Really a whole set of micro tips from Jason bay of blissful prospecting. Let's get right into this writing cold Email copy from scratch is one of the most difficult things that we can do a sales, people oftentimes I get asked, what should the Email say? What should I include? How long should it be should I share testimonial or a case study in what I wanted to do is quickly share with you something. We came up with called the reply Methuen so that you can remove the mystery from writing ineffective, cold Email, in also have a process that you can use to make sure that the emails, you're sending are gonna get a response. So let's start with are the are stands for results. So the biggest thing you got to think about is the prospect needs to go from. How does this apply to me to these results like interesting? So where do you really need to make sure to focus on? This is in your value prop in you. Need to share a specific. Result that is related to a business goal that the prospect would care about. So helping people increase their productivity is not a business goal. Increasing revenue is increasing or decreasing excuse me ramp time with sales reps. That's a business call so make sure you're focused on the right result in one that the prospect, you reach out to care about number two is empathy. So the east dance for empathy and essentially, what you want to do here in what I see missing from most prospecting messaging, especially in emails is no commentary on what the challenges or fears that the prospect might be experiencing if you don't talk about the challenges somewhere in your Email sequence. The prospect is not going to know how exactly you can help them or what problem that you can help them overcome so you need the prospect to go from you don't understand Muir, or business to a you're really speaking, my language, the peace sands for personalization what you need to make sure of at the bare min. Is that the first two sentences of a cold Email sequence? And that very first Email, or personalized, and what you want to make sure is that this is something that's actually contextual. So don't make it completely unrelated to what you provide in your product or service. But you need to do enough there to make sure the prospect knows it's not clearly a mass Email. So sure that you did your homework. If you're not Personalizing beyond the first name and company name, the chances of getting a response go down dramatically. The L stands for laser focus. So couple little quick tips here. When you're writing an Email, you wanna make sure that it's less than three to five sentences in also less than one hundred twenty words. So there's a couple of things that are recommend here. There's two tools once called Gramm early and the other is called Hemingway up in their both free tools. You can use those two word, check spell check, and then also to help you write a more concise Email as well. So you can plug right into those tools. I highly recommend checking that out another little hack here is that. Send yourself in Email, and take a look at it on your phone. And if you have to scroll on your phone to read it, it's too long. Lastly, the wise stands for you. So quick rule of thumb here is in one of the big mistakes that I see people make when they prospect is they talk about ice, and we a lot, I'd like to meet with you. I'd love to meet with you. We can help you with this. You're going to have to use a certain amount of that. But I what I recommend is cutting out the word. I completely if you can and the you and your ratio to I and we ratio needs to be one to one or greater. So, in other words, you should be saying you and your more times than you're saying, I and we your challenges, your goals, your fears in this area, whatever it is make sure that you use you in your. All right. That's the reply method. This is a process like I said that you can use as a checklist for your cold emails, and that you can use a step by step process when you're writing you from scratch,

I crazy that's why I wanted to do I want to do this topic is I do think there is an assault on police officers around the country. I think is a disrespect of police officers that has sort of become acceptable, which I find completely outrageous. And I think that what happened here in Methuen is much more commonplace than people would realize if they knew what cops deal with on a daily basis, they might actually have a little bit more respect for them than they currently do. Maybe it's me, maybe I'm wrong. But that's just where I'm coming from six months to sixty eight sixty eight ED's and Bill Ricca at your first this one here on our KO. Hey, baby. Question. One do have you followed the police raises at the Muslim police have even gotten issue. Yes. Yes. Yeah. So I mean, I have sympathy for the policemen that they have to deal with all kinds of delinquent and ding, bats and everything like that. But you know, a lot of them. I'm sorry. I just you can get a ticket just backing out of your own driveway. Okay. I mean, and then you have to go fight it, and whatever his another strange thing, let's say you were going to go by car from Craigslist, and you took twenty grand with you. And you're gonna pay cash with the guy, and you know, if you've got pulled over the constant confiscate that money and take it, and then you have to hire a lawyer to get it back. You guys not stunned by this. Call. I'm looking at my producers, Ed because I'm stunned by you. And I'm seeing if they're not stunned by you. So the idea is that a on. But why you know, I just I just you know, I I just think that they they I don't know you have to bow down to them and everything, and I understand what the rep against with the public and things like that. But I I'll tell you something like Joe Biden when Joe Biden says, I get it like when you when he says, I get it. That means he's not really taking it seriously. And I don't think you're taking cop. Seriously. I think you just ate do. I take them seriously. But I just don't have any. I first of all I just I just infuriates me how they have a like what's that with a state trooper? How are we? How are we ripping cops right now at we're talking about a guy that got us salt that you know, you could. Worth of all the guy. Should they had him out in the street? I just surprised that he didn't throw him up against the Karen Fritz the whole guy. He may have any may have missed it. He may have missed it happens. It happens frequently you can't honestly, miss them. Because of how God forbid you do a thorough for Esco? Now, you really touched or something. Like, this is what I'm saying. I don't know. I. You stand that they go after the constitution many little things like that is doing his job. Let you're doing it at you're doing it with this call you've been ripping cops for two minutes now. Well, I guess I don't trust them. I don't I'm sorry. I normally I say, thanks for the call. But I don't thank you for that call that. That's crazy to me that this is I I call we get on that is somebody ripping cops. I honestly I understand. I'm a bit biased here. Because obviously I'd have to love cops. I have the coffee on say boyfriend, I understand. So I see what's behind the badge. And I think a lot of times the public, unfortunately doesn't necessarily see the human side behind the police officer. And I think that they don't understand that these police officers are seeing the worst of human behavior. Unimaginable that you have to deal with day in and day out for eight hours a day or more. So you can understand why. Sometimes they're a little bit agitated. They're bitter. They're. Aggravated that doesn't make it. Right. But that's why I personally am advocate for a lot of even supportive police because they need help. Even though they're helping the public. That's why I'm a little bit biased about it. Every so for Ed and Bill Rick is crazy call by the way, I will be giving a books preach tonight at the Bill Ricca public library Daban don't because if you show up and you start that conversation. I'm not interested in event. But if you want to talk about frost and hell, I'll be at the Bill recall public, libraries o'clock tonight. Now with that said, so we've all seen the video yesterday of the cop. That's that's through the passenger door and the kids mouth and often he says, I will absolutely f you up. Okay. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Awful terrible. None that I don't get. Well, that's obvious. Don't get under. What circumstances? A cop is going to use that sort of language, but what I'm what I would put forth to you is that for every one of those incidents. What I'm wondering is how many of these incidents the these Methuen incidents? Do we have and in ED's case? Oh, yeah. I get it Methuen happens. But that's what's crazy. Like, I I'm the opposite. I think that there's way more guys throwing Fenton Olympic cop trying to get the cop sick. And or in big trouble. Then there are the cop yelling at the guy. I'll bleep you up the guy that body slammed the woman, which I don't even know the back story on that video to know where I stand on that everybody else is just like, oh my God. Look at this cop whose way over the top body, slam, and blah, blah, blah. I feel like cops almost on a daily basis. The average cop has some not fennel thrown in his face, but has something happy. To him that if you knew that went on almost daily, you might be a little more. Like ho, man. These guys have it tough. They raise their lives every single day. I know once again, I sound not only risking their lives. It's putting up with crap like this on a day with his just these unintended or totally out of left field. Like nutty nutty things that are happening. I think we hear more about the bad things. And we hear about the good unfortunate. So speaking of throwing things and putting up with crap literally and apologies to anybody. That might be eating right now before I am before I tell the story friend of mine, he's a CEO COO up in New York. And every night he has to go through the psych ward to check one inmate that he has to check on every single night. He goes taps on the taps on the glass on on his his cell. The guy is standing there already just staring waiting for him. Because he knows he comes by every night. Once my friend taps on the glass. He he runs back. He runs he runs back in to the toilet reaches in pulls out a Tutsi. Roll takes a bite out of it. And throws it at the glass. Oh, first of all in terms of protocol. I feel like the bite the part that. I don't know. How that's hoping whatever they it's like taking like a grenade like taking a chunk out of it. I guess, but this that's exactly what I'm talking about. I just feel like. I don't think as craziest story is that one is I think most people in law enforcement have stories like that. And they deal with that much more than you realize. I bet this Methuen cop Waldron officer Waldron. I'm sure this isn't his top ten, but I bet he has other stories like, oh, you wanna talk stories. I'll give you stories because every time I talked to a police officer because of something like this. They always say that's nothing how getting stuck by needle while I can happen, very frequently courses ten absolutely this. Is that version of this guy had a needle he would've stuck? I'm sure that that's another fear. They have to do just even tiny, you know, Pat, someone down take a quick break. Get a news update when we come back. We'll take some more calls here. I see old, and if you're in law enforcement, what's the what's the craziest randomest things someone that was being arrested or book ever did to you things that we don't know about that you go. Yep. This happens all the time v. I wanna hear those stories six seven two six sixty eight sixty more calls in a minute. It's one thirty one on AM six eighty wer Cam. "Fix your teeth. Great before we take calls. I just wanna say this is a story. Let's move today. Pair from Canada. You already began to get suspicious, right? Pair up. No, not a fruit to people to Canadian men suspected of running ATM theft ring, Massachusetts police say two men from Canada who are suspected of operating an ATM theft have been arrested by Methuen police. This was a joint effort of the Hudson New Hampshire and the Methuen police. They did a great job on this. They they they were covered. Fifty two thousand dollars it from inside the vehicles and large large amounts of cash inside awful bags gift cards. Debit cards in printing device. They also found that electric device that activates it utilizes bankcards inside of the ical that was rented to one of the suspects. But again, great police work to what the nail these guys. They were staying in one of the cheap hotels, and just you know, were, you know, Robin places, but here the names of the two Canadian men Pierre Jacques. Rashawn nirmala. Drawn the Rousson Nirmala lack drawn thirty of Quebec easy for you to say and at Jeff Iran. Ravin drawn twenty eight of Antero. These are Canadian men Kevin quack each have been charged with possession of burglaries instrument and receiving stolen property of over twelve hundred dollars. You know, if if these guys can make bail, they can just go to Maine and go on welfare. That's that's probably the solution. Eight four four or five hundred forty two forty two. God. So you're acts with Howie Carr. Go ahead. So yeah. The first day mills an opera, she already signed overall our assistance to the illegal. That's why we have a problem, especially in Portland. The other thing is that people aren't remembering is allowing a hundred fifteen riverton streams in western pot of means be polluted by round up. Just to put any high-tension wise who commanded -chusetts not benefiting from it at all that's done to this date. And it's getting a lot worse. I had to pay state income tax, and they get a refund from the federal because Trump's tax returns first time in twenty seven years. I gotta refund, but I still have to pay main state income tax. It's ridiculous. And we're moving. Thank you. Thank you. So I don't blame you for moving. The governor governor the pages moved dinner whether mar-a-lago being Steve couple months ago. Tell you what he was a he was a very happy. You he's upset that, you know, Janet Mills squandering the progress that he made in Maine. You might have to come back is asked for eight years, and she's going to have the entire state economy wacked probably within six months forget a year. We thought it would take a year. And so it says now the mills geniuses are pulling back the picture on the card what they get rid of the picture as if that was stopping a lot of stuff anyway. But you want to at least give it a shot, right? Apparently, not eight four four five hundred forty two forty two Allan you're next with Howie Carr. Go ahead. Alan. Taking my call. I just wanna just wanna mention a few things this radical regime appear main. I mean, if it's not mere extremely now get mills I mean when when governor page at his governorship. It was in the red in this woman walks into the office millions of dollars plus and it hasn't even been half a year. And she's already spent it I I want to know where she thinks you come up with the rest of the money to for these hopes and dreams that mere streaming down Portland has because Portland has been a giant anchor for the state of Maine. I mean, I hate to say that because Maine's made up of some of the most all this population and Democrats doing this hurting them hurting our oldest population in the Herden vets. I mean, the people that have paid taxes the whole life humane just walk around. Yeah. That's what the Republicans are saying that you know, that there's no there is no money Republicans point to waiting list for this abled Mainers waiting for services. The number of nursing homes that have closed across. Smain largely due to low reimbursement. Rates in a need to provide better services to veterans as priorities that should be should be put ahead of handing out funded welfare benefits to non-citizens some of whom are illegal right me this L. And this is what share even said even share said this in in a tweet a couple of weeks ago. You know, how how can we be inviting illegals to come over here and go on welfare when you have homeless veterans and waiting lists for public housing for aside. The Portland press in the Bangor daily news should be ashamed of themselves. I don't know where the journalists are today. But I wish I wish they would show themselves and have a backbone and stand up actually do their job because they both just what they already they're not news. You know what I mean? Just just doing what they want anymore. It's awful. Thank you. Thanks. Thanks, Allan eight four four five hundred forty two forty two. Kevin you're next with Howie Carr. Go ahead. Kevin. Hey, howie. I'm just wondering I pay a lot of for healthcare every month for me and my family. I'm wondering real question couldn't I just go up to Maine identify myself as men L eagle need to get my kid. And you say are you applying for asylum, Kevin and you say, I'm taking reasonable steps. You got a problem with that? That's what it says. It was taken reasonable steps and Sweden days, isn't what it used to be. You know, I I am aware of that. Kevin I read the newspaper. The there was a Samah. There was a story last week out of Sweden Somali was in prison for raping a Swedish woman, and they said that. Well, they said they so the the the law enforcement said we're going to deport this guy as soon as he as soon as he gets out of prison. He's not a Swedish citizen it. He's he's a criminal violent criminal. And he got a some kind of lawyer, and the the the Swedish judges acting like Massachusetts judges said you can't the port this. Nice young man from from Sweden just because he raped the Swedish citizen. That's you have. No right to do that. What about is human rights nowhere? No human rights for the for the rape victim. You know, where we're again where was now in Sweden national organization for women of Sweden the way where we're all the feminists. Why why weren't they demonstrated? Thanks for the call. Kevin, Dan, you're next with Howie Carr. Go ahead. Dan. Gay. How we welcome to the People's Republic main what we have for governor up here is just an offshoot of the Obama administration. It's it's reached the point. I've spoken to many people who are just moving out, in fact from lewiston south. They're calling it may not choose its we broke away from Massachusetts. But masses taking us back, politically and financially. But honest to God this meal, I've come to the conclusion, it's not her fault. The people of Maine, the voters of Maine were so stupid as to elect her. They deserve what they get. Well, exactly in a democracy. The voters get what they deserve. And they get a good hard. That's a line for may Minkin. And it's so true. You know, I just hope that Paul the page follows up on what he says and comes back and four years to kick this harridan out of office because main is not going to be -cation land. It's going to be downtown Beirut. It's going to be horrible. Here. You know, the thing is the end though. Hey, you know, and I think you're right. I think people are going to be moving out. But they'll everybody that's moving out is is someone who voted for Paula page somewhere that he would need when he when he ran for for office again at twenty twenty two. And they're not going to be there. I mean, that's what this is all about. I mean, this is above, you know, driving working taxpaying citizens out of the out of everywhere and take it over the whole country. And I again, I don't I don't see the upside for them Kratz 'cause Chuck Schumer and the ANSI Pelosi are not going to be leading the revolution. Once they've imported this new underclass, that's not that's not the way it works out with revolutions, the weren't too many French barons left after the committee of public safety got through using the guillotine. No. There was a new boss. One of the peasants and him the Polian Bonaparte.

Kill that bitch, Eurotrash, son of a bitch, nah, man, it's it's. You know, it's it's this tone where they just don't undestand what makes a movie like this work where you want to combine comedy and not just not just action, but violent action. Raider our blood, bloody action, this this is a film that wants to be like, not not exactly, but it's it kind of trying to find the same tone as some other movies like the nice guys are the guy guys is trying to be one of those. Yeah, without it being a police, you know, a buddy cop. You do these girls at our buddies. They're on this violent adventure. They're trying to put up comedy and in violence together. The reason I brought these two because these two are really violent movies. Yeah, but in, but they also have a large comedic element in it and they know how to balance it out. And this movie does not are even even better. As we said before, this is this is something like spice. If you remember spy was violent movie. Yeah. And this is this. This is the same. Doing almost the same thing as Melissa McCarthy was way goofy in this movie, then these girls were yet. They just don't pull it off because after certain point since they become types, not only do they lose the re the naturally action that made them root for them, but they stop actually having chemistry, do they? Yeah. And you know what? Honestly, it's not. It's not that bad because it could be worse because I will tell you in the movie. What does happen is that they don't go through and just be helpless the whole time they asked to start taking control of the situation. They start going in and doing things, and I and I like that. I wish they could have done that while keeping the chemistry to, yeah, would've made their their their their roles so much better. Well, it does seem like they're, they're, they're pushing to make meal koontz a thing with in these kind of movies, and she's not really a comedian, no in that, you know, putting as a straight woman. Up against somebody who's as wild and let to ad-lib. And it's funny because the movie still doesn't know what is doing in the sense somebody comes to her, I'm I'm not going to say, I'm going to exactly what they say, but they pretty much tell her, they say, you know what?
