"We have been reporting throughout the afternoon. Multiple people including four Aurora police officers have reportedly been wounded in a shooting at the Henry Pratt company near Archer and Highland avenue. In aurora. Police say the suspect did gunman has been apprehended and is no longer a threat. We'll go back to channel to end Rob Johnson people and the good news is for all these people that went to go pick up their children or currently are picking up their children all of them are safe and schools prepare for this. We we mentioned earlier that law enforcement prepares for these types of situations. Schools prepare for them as well. Soft and hard lockdowns and shelter in place and don't go anywhere. And and so for those people it has worked today. Okay. We want to go back to our reporter, Dana Kozlov. He was on the scene now. Dana what are you hearing about the status of the scene out? There any word on the investigation. Police are still surrounding the area. We're at we're right across as I mentioned before from the main entrance of the Henry Pratt company. The main administrative building I believe that here. I think for one Marshall it is and. Police have the area still locked down. There's been a little more. Now everyone's a little calmer. But again, nobody as I mentioned before nobody is going in or out of the actual company officers yet. But I see in the windows. They've been I'm sorry. Somebody's trying to call me people employee's in the windows looking out the window as I mentioned before they were people who are walking in a sort of a single file line like they had just left at which in which they were locked down. But it at this point. I am assuming that authorities don't want anybody reading the scene yet because they could be gathering evidence still they could also be just making sure everything is safe and secure before the employees are told to leave. But there's a lot of them just looking out the window and sort of waiting it. It looks like for word that they can. But police not talking here where I am at yet. And no, no one. On foot. I saw swat officers earlier. And then I saw swat vehicle just pull away a few minutes. Go Kane county swat vehicle up at the area of security and police still surrounding the area. Go driving by it. And also keeping the roads blocked. Yeah. Dana. Thank you for that input. We we do appreciate that. And what's interesting as it relates to these hospitals. We know that mercy medical center is the staging area for all things law enforcement, and certainly all things medical as well as to his rush Copley, and and and received word that ancillary services like rehab right now are.

"From some Brad sources well that the shooter has been killed. We know the situation was under control about an hour ago. And all the lockdowns have either been limited or they have been lifted altogether. Yes. And this boy with just in the last two hours so much happened in this very fluid situation. We're showing you a map here to the left of your screen the workplace shooting, and you can see the location in Aurora, and you can see the address there that we have listed of six forty one. I believe Archer, and we know that the Henry Pratt building is on south Highland. So that is the exact address of the Henry Pratt building. But all of this happening in an area that has several commercial businesses. And so when we talk about those lockdowns going in place that that included businesses nearby. Our steal the west Aurora school district one twenty nine and. Just within the last hour. Those lockdowns have been lifted and we've seen law enforcement pull back from that area to a large extent, but still this investigations in its early stages as they try to figure out a motive here our investigator. Brad was mentioning that it seems like there was some angst some some ongoing. Issue with this shooter at someone within that building. But that is all still very early stages of finding out what his motivation was in releasing really mass chaos and violence in this area. And we should mention this map is six forty one Archer is where all row steel is. That was not the location in nearby. Henry Pratt is where this all went down. And as we mentioned, the cooperation between all the law enforcement agencies. This is the map I was referring to maybe thirty minutes ago, where you see all the counties that are right there auroras located there at the southeastern tip of King County, and and so many authorities can come so quickly and come with such great force, if they need to to be of assistance and on the right, you see the staging area where maybe forty five minutes ago, we saw a bunch of people coming to coming out there and trying to figure out what's next. What do we need to do? Whether it would be firemen. Whether it would be paramedics, whether it would be swat team members trying to learn what what was next for them. And as you can see they have almost all gone away. Now, and the scene is going to be shifted to to mercy medical center in Aurora which in twenty three minutes, we will be receiving word from the police chief there and expect to learn more about this suspect. We know the suspect is dead. Of course, people want to know why Brad had a couple of potential wise. But with the suspect having perished. Getting the entire story. Understanding exactly what happened maybe a little bit more difficult. Although some of these victims some of the people that may have been the intended targets or people that were unintended targets will be able to help fill in the blanks as to what the state of mind of that shooter was and how dangerous what would a danger that person pose to the entire facility and to give you an idea just the aftermath the after effects of this. We're hearing that the lockdowns have been lifted, but we have a team of reporters, including some of our network correspondents Adriana Diaz was able to confirm to us that she spoke with several people in the area. And at holy angels Catholic school upwards of four hundred students were locked in the classroom sitting on the floor that was about forty minutes ago. So while the lockdown has been lifted in that area around that time they were still trying to figure out if they felt safe enough to come out. Also, they're starting to let customers in at some of the stores. But they're keeping their doors locked as well. So they're still very tentative about completely feeling safe in this area, which is understandable. I want to go back to Brad Edwards now in the newsroom, and Brad are you getting some new information about the injured the suspect. What what are you hearing? Yeah. The suspect for Erica. So one of the sources on scene told me as rob was kind.
