"The Saturn's in Aquarius, his favorite sign, mercury is supercharged when he is an Aquarius. He also then is moving ruling the Mars in Gemini. So now they're not mutual reception anymore, but Mars and Gemini with mercury in Aquarius. Mars and Mars is very good very strategic in his thinking, whereas before he was Capricorn reliable dependable, this is what we got to do. Now he's kind of going, let me take a big picture look. So we're going to find ourselves sitting back a bit next weekend on Saturday when Mars goes, oh, okay. Huh. Well, maybe I should think of that in a different way. And remember, Mars is still working his retrograde, so he's back where he was in September time frame, kind of activating the story from men. And as he goes up to 25, which he gets to at the end of March, he's still out of bounds. So Mars is just craziness. It's why everything's so big and volatile and we have to do everything to times. And oh, there were two balloons. Oh, and there were balloons under Trump. Oh, and there were documents in Trump. Oh, there were documents and Biden. Oh, there were documents and pens. It's like Mars and geminis. Like, I got paper all over the place. So that marston Gemini, you just go, if I haven't done it twice, I'm not done yet, but as mercury shifts into Aquarius, you're going to start counting. And by doing it, yeah, I've done it twice. Okay, I'm good to go. And mercury loves Aquarius. He's very smart, very strategic, very big picture, gets jumped off The Rock. He's hang gliding down that cliff. Have you ever seen those hang gliders? They run off. They jump off the rack and they fly down the fly down the valley. That's what mercury just did. He just jumped off The Rock of Capricorn and took off. Which also makes me think that mercury and Capricorn conjunction could be a goodbye speech. Like goodbye, I'm leaving now so long, and then he jumps off the cliff and he goes, bye bye. So long. And then the sun comes to Saturn in 5 more days. That's next week. But some Saturn is also an ending, which again happens every year. But when it comes to Saturn it's a somberness and a conclusion. So that's next week, but this week mercury jumps off the cliff and goes bye and leaves. I think roadrunner, you know, remember, that energy. And also earth to air taking loss. All right, we look at the aspects for the week. Okay, the sun goes from 17 Aquarius to 24 queries. And we already talked about its aspects that it has, but it also has a hard aspect to the note of fate, stressful aspect to the note of fate. On February 11th, which is very much a releasing energy. Sun says, okay, let it go. You know, think Idina Menzel singing song from frozen, let it go, let it go. Sun also parallel Saturn. Now, it hasn't met Saturn by declinations directly, but it meets Saturn by intent, which means it makes a decision

"We got to build ourselves up to that point. He's a little stinker. He showed me a side of him this break that I was genuinely shocked at. The links at which he's willing to go to stab someone. So anything we can think of to destroy him. I'll endorse. What did he stab about? You got to tell us what do you do? That's like personal. That's neither here nor there. Tell us with your eyes. Tell us with your eyes. Just give us a look. Handsome. Oh, man. Oh. Shit. It's one of us. Yeah, it's fucked up. It's fucked up. So here's what I did on Christmas. Please. I was up in Vermont and I went skiing, like I usually do on Christmas. Because the rule of thumb is you people just stay home and open presents. And all the Jews and not get everything out of your day. We do like a sound of music sort of sprawling through the meadow. And we do whatever we do. So I went up to the mountain as I do, one of the mountains in Vermont, and this was during that gigantic winter storm? Yes. Which I don't know if you guys heard about. So the first day was pretty bad, but then on Christmas Day, I get out there, and we're pulling up to the mountain, and I always try, I want to try and get that first lift up because that's the kind of freak I am. I want that. I want that fresh pow pow. I want those fresh grooming trails because that's what you do on the east coast. They have to groom it. Like the black eyed peas natural enough. I'm fucking pulling it in the parking lot and I'm like, what the fuck? This place is crowded. What is happening? These gentlemen, the secret's out. Yeah. They're on to us. This is this. It's completely empty except for Jews, and they get out of the way. They're very polite. It's great. This is a distress call. All the other Jews wishing to go skiing on Christmas. They're on to us. They know the secret abort. Abort. So you can't do it anymore. We can't do it anymore. A lot of gentiles out there on the slopes. Genteel? Yeah. Whoever it was, it wasn't us, okay? Wow. No. It was fine. It was way emptier than a normal day. But the deal was that Jews write all the good Christmas songs and then you guys get to go skiing that day. That was the diamond. Yeah. Hey, Idina Menzel, you know? She really wanted to release a Christmas album and gosh, darn it, she did. Yeah, I mean, I think, yeah, I'm sure there's some really funny statistic about Christmas songs in new they were written by. Almost all the ones that are have nothing to do with Jesus almost every single one was written by a Jew. Seriously, 100. Frosty and like almost all those shows were animated in Japan, so if you grew up on that stuff, you grew up on anime. It's just an anime. What a fun hole. Is frosty a kaiju? All right. Heat miser and abominable snowman is at least because he's very large. Definitely. But yeah, that's what I did. I'll say this for the break as a whole. I didn't stop. And I didn't get time to relax. Same. So tired. Me too. It's so fucking tired. All I want to do is nothing. I

Wow. 44 on the adult contemporary 2001. How did he get some high how do people even know about it? But good for sting, seeing. We still got a little bit of money off of that. Good for you. Life is a highway, not surprised. This was a big, big song. Number 7 on the Hot 100 in 2006 from cars, little wonders from meet the Robinson, which did we even talk about this when we made our list. Number 5 for adult pop songs in 2007. Ah, now we have let it go. Both versions of let it go made it into the billboard charts. In 2014, obviously Idina Menzel's version, hers was number 5 on the top 100 or Hot 100 and Demi Lovato's peaked at 38. I think they made the right call there. I think Adina Menzel's version is the version. So there we go. Do you want to build a snowman? Peaked at number 51 in the Hot 100. We're still going here. One more for frozen for the first time in forever, made it to 57. Rolls down, we have two more on this list, immortals from fallout boy, big hero 6, peaked at 72, and that was it. That was it. It was 2021 on the list that we have done. And it says 21 that popped the charts and topped the charts and then it stops at 20. So not cool bro not cool. "This patriots team and so it's hard like it's hard to give them too much credit and i think that the mark that dan quinn is left on. His team has been undeniable. This defenses much better despite the fact that they haven't had that large of an infusion of talent. But i still like the one thing that is holding me back from going. All in on this team falling in love with this team is the same thing that held me back when jason garrett was her head coach like i still don't feel that like market like that assurance that you have with the head coach going into a game like you might with like i don't know john harbaugh or you know bill belichick. You know two years ago or you know any anything like that. That's fair except for the fact. That i think i would have said the same thing about the coaching staff. That won the super bowl last year minus the defensive coach. They have their so. That's that's the way it goes sometimes. And look i think mike. Mccarthy has had enga- management issues. I jumped on connor's bandwagon now. Their own to since i did this was this was a game in which they i'll. I'll throw out all the excuses early. They had neither of their starting tackles so they had You're going up against. Jj watt and chandler. Jones with with two backups at offensive tackle. That's a huge problem. Bigger mayfield has a non throwing shoulder injury. It did flare up at one point when he took a strip sack from from. Jj watt but one of those two. They hosted the cardinals and the cardinals were just better than them. And i guess we'll start with Kind of the baker side of this conversation and the fact that we're we're just still not quite there with his browns offense although maybe this was a day where we were not gonna find out any real answers because they had some limitations with the offensive line. Well i think that statement alone speaks to your question. Gary because this was a day when they couldn't run the ball like they have been running the ball. They were missing both of their tackles. As you mentioned. They went into the game without nick. Chub and kareem hunt got hurt during the game so when the browns offense doesn't have a strong run game it loses its identity and so then. I think that does go back to the quarterback right. So here was a day when they couldn't be have that anchor of a strong ground game. So what is the quarterback. Not doing that doesn't allow them to succeed when they're missing that element of their offense. It's a great point and it was weird right. We saw freddie kitchen zahra baker. The today in with that is is like you know he that first redesigned their whatever isn't visible and then it's like this this instinct afloat backwards in a way and to the point where it's disadvantageous and then you still are convinced that you're going to be able to make a play. I think that is still like an element of his game like i. I'm not saying. It's it's menzel ian but it's like it's pre- menzel ian or postman's alien whatever you wanna call it but there is that element of that. That is still hard for him to shake And what was interesting to me is like they almost abandoned in. Perhaps the injuries forced them to do so. But the beauty of this offense for so long. Was it everything was out on schedule. Like the him when his back foot hit on that third step. The ball was out and so and bakers accurate so it was great. Everything was working out for the browns because he was doing exactly what you needed him to do. But when you ask him to do what. Freddie kitchens asked him to do or the browns were an empty sets in and three wide four wide pretty early in this game even when they were down seven. If you're asking him to be that guy. I just don't think he's that guy which is really bad. News for the pro extension crowd. Is jenny kind of alluded to but also like. It's just not how you win. Football games with him and his never really been how you win. Football games with them yet and look you think in the brown djing the titans taking these teams that they do they have to stay on schedule from a down down standpoint. They have to stay on schedule. Game goes they had a couple of early turnovers and all of a sudden. They're down three possessions early in the second quarter and anything you plan on doing kind of goes out the window at this point The other thing. I want to bring up with the browns and i promise we'll get to the cardinals who are six zero and deserve much more praise than than we're probably going to give them in the segment but When i was kind of a little bit down on the browns i was not bullish on the browns. Not as bullish as some Whether on this show or or whether elsewhere in the world so i was worried about the melting of that back seven Just i like all the talent. It's just a lot of new faces. I think that stuff can sort of fall apart early on. When you're started getting used to playing with a new group of guys it didn't really matter early in the season because the front four had been so dominant that it you know you could The three of us could have been on the on the back line for the browns. They would have been fine. What ended up happening today. Colonel offensive line did a solid job. The browns front four did not take over the game. And what.

Maybe a chance of showers. 58 Year low Tomorrow Partly cloudy 72 right after my talk studios Partly cloudy and 73. I don't know what Thank you, Holly Friends. Come along. Come on The journey with me on the culling and Bradley show. I'm Colleen Lindstrom. That's Bradley trainer. My talk one of 71. Are you all strapped in and ready for this ride? Uh, star of this ride is Shamila. What is a Shamila? Shawn Mendez, Camilla Cabello. It's a publication ship. They're just using their relationship for publicity. So I am. I saw this article. I'm going to put that loose quotes. In the daily Mail. Now what do we know about Camila Cabello? Right. This very moment. She is promoting what a movie called Cinderella That's appearing on Amazon prime right? And so she's been flexing her publication ship a lot more lately, because that's what you do when you got a project that you need to push right. And so I see this headline in the Daily Mail. I see this article again, loose quotes. Camilla Cabello flashes her midriff and toned curves in a bright pink Allah yoga set while heading to the gym with a pal in New York City, and I'm like final click. Sometimes I click on these for one very simple reason. I want to see how the daily mail expertly spins out an entire article based on somebody walking outside, right. And sure enough, there are pictures that accompany this story. And they are pictures of her friend and Camila Cabello, and she's wearing like biker shorts and a sports bra with like a sweatshirt. Around her waist and on the leg of her pants so very large and visible. Is the word a L O, which is the name of the yoga brand, and they're meant to look like paparazzi photos. They're meant to look natural. They are anything but it is meant to their failing miserably because that looks like an ad photo for all over yoga literally like it's out of the catalog. Right. So I'm like, Oh, okay, That's great. So Uh, fine now tuned into the ad. What more is there for me and then so first sentence. Uh, the 24 year old Cinderella star showed off her toned curves in an eye catching Alo Yoga said as she headed to work out with a book in hand. Following a quick sweat session. The do overseen writing city bikes. As they continue to enjoy the weekend. So we have in the very first two sentences are one to spawn can punch bump bump? I thought being and on well done well done, well, good population shipping. But then, as you scroll further into this story, because again, the daily mail experts at spinning out an entire story based on two photographs of span con There's another story that Tells about the fact that she was on Carpool karaoke with some of her cast mates from Cinderella, and they were also a part of that, like weird sidewalk, Uh, Music Festival with James, cause James Corden and a rat suit. Humping the side of a car. Um, my life's goal, is it I am Hi, Bradley Aim high. Um, anyway, it talks about this conversation that they had during, um During the carpool karaoke, where she explains how she prepared herself for her first date with Shawn Mendez. And the story goes. That she took two shots of tequila. And she ran around her house. Singing a song at the top of her lungs. Okay. Now, all of that is very convenient anyway, because they're doing carpool karaoke, and so they're about to sing a song, right? But the song we're about to sing. Is a song called Defying Gravity. That's interesting. Why is that interesting? Bradley? Uh, well, Typically, that song is sung by Or it has been sung by Adele Dazeem, right, wickedly talented Adele Dazeem. The song defying gravity is from the Broadway musical Wicked. The original, uh, character was played by Idina Menzel. Adina Menzel in the back seat or something? She sure was. No. Was she really? Yes. Because Idina Menzel is also in Oh, Cinderella, Cinderella thinking we're just like right now is a megazord. I know it's a It's a retroactive origin story of her relationship with Shawn Mendez. And I just I wanted to share it with you because I wanted us all to just say we see you. We see what you're doing. That's so happy. So obvious. So, yes, this episode of carpool Karaoke features Billy Porter, who is also in Cinderella, sitting in the front seat with James Corden, who's Also in Cinderella. And then in the back seat. We have Camilla Cabello and the wickedly talented adult disease so much synergy. It would have been awesome. If they had found out where John Travolta was so they could have pulled him over, right performed in front of him, right? Anyway, I just like I had to give this one high marks because there's a lot that just got thrown at us and that and into the non discerning eye, you might not have seen all of it. Well, no, And nobody pays attention to that because nobody is looking at how the sausage is made. Most people aren't we do And so it's just always good to see again that when we peel back the curtain Still, you know, obvious bunch of shenanigans is taking place. Yes. So be on high alert because in the midst of the promotion for Cinderella Camilla Cabello doing her own kind of self promotion and also is doing this like amazing cross promotion, where she's able to retrofit the story of her relationship her publish in ship. With her co star in Cinderella, who also Sung the song that she says she's saying when she was about to go on a date with a guy that she may or may not be engaged with published ship inception is insane. High marks for Camilla Cabello. We salute you. See you see you well done job well done when we come back on the Colleen and Bradley show so badly when I ask a different question, But we're going to ask this question. What is your favorite sound? 6516411? Oh, 71. What's your favorite sound? It's that simple. What sound do you like?.

"Kristen. stewart is already receiving tons of praise for her portrayal of princess. Diana and spencer but it sounds like it wasn't an easy role to take on. She told the la times quote. It's scary to tell a story about someone who's not alive anymore and who already felt so invaded. I never wanted to feel like we were invading anything just that we were kind of adding to the multiplicity of a beautiful thing. Kristen also revealed that there were times when she felt she got a sort of quote sign off from diana saying quote. I felt some spooky spiritual feelings making this movie. Even if i was just fantasizing i mean i think this just speaks to the real challenge of telling diana's story which is a story all about like the media and the paparazzi and the entertainment industry like really destroying her. And you can make that movie but you can never separate the fact that you are the media and the entertainment industry making that story. You know. I know yeah. There's definitely layers going on there. I also want to. Because i was confused. I just wanna make sure everyone's on the same page right now just so everyone knows. This is a psychological drama. Yeah and that movie if you haven't seen it it's not like a biographical retelling of jackie o's life it's very much like a story about inner demons and struggles yet and i'm pretty sure this one takes over the span of like three days during christmas time or something like that when she's like deciding she wants to end her marriage so it's a very specific and short time in her life so it's going to be very concentrated and i am beyond excited because it's it really. Let's all go back to 2014 Remember John Travolta bless his heart was up there on the Oscar stage, and he was about to introduce Adina Menzel, who is going to be singing. Let it go. Adina Menzel is her name. We all remember that. This is how that went. Take a look. There will always be a special place in my heart for the movie musical. And for the songs that create the most memorable moments here to perform the Oscar nominated, gorgeously empowering song, Let it go from the Oscar winning animated movie frozen. Please welcome the wickedly talented one. And only together, does Oh, man can't handle. There's so there's so much good. I don't know what my favorite part is. There are two parts to that. "Also just mercury venus. Not just being something. That's aesthetically appealing but it's also Soft in some way and Can be helpful or supportive or nourishing. Yeah absolutely Yeah well let's see so. Then we have Venus with mars and we obviously discussed the polarity at length I mean the often charts that all see that expressed in our. It's where venus as art form is brought into motion or into action or to life through mars and so whether that's like dancers or singers musicians performers graceful athletes as well And terms of musicians. Like bruce springsteen is a great example. Someone who really has kind of martian edge. But it's coming through His music is art form. Neil young One of my favorite examples of this is If you're familiar at all with a broadway singer adina menzel She's probably best known for Being the voice of elsa and frozen But she has such a powerful voice and how Mars can kind of give that loudness to the voice and we we saw one of the description. There's uppermost shar talking about sweet singing. And but with venus mars it's like loud powerful forcible singing that really kind of carries with strength so Yes she she was someone who came to mind On the athletic side Billie jean king who the tennis player who Was the woman who i'm forgetting. The name of the man she beat and a match in the seventies. But it was like this really breakthrough feminist moment. And she has venus mars And she was known to. I like grunt on the tennis court. Almost of the battlefield With with each each time she would hit the ball and there was a fell made a few years ago with emma stone playing her called battle of the sexes and even in the title of that they show like venus mars symbols of the battle of the sexes and this kind of war between men and women playing out on the tennis court and how she was such a breakthrough feminist symbol in that time and that she has been this mars alignment which i'm sure no one making the film new So yeah she's another example. I thought of with that dynamic clever for we hadn't mentioned that but for the symbols of venus and mars in that those became like in the twentieth century the generic symbols for men and women like venus for women and mars for men Which somebody pointed out. That association was relatively recent On twitter recently although it is interesting. That i'm not sure how recent it is necessarily because Venus traditionally would have been assisted with with women or femininity versus mars being associated sometimes with men or with whatever was conceptualized as masculinity may. It's interesting to hear that just as kind of Not as a planetary lift but just as a symbol for like a bathroom sign or something that they would be used and now we're in a moment where that's breaking down again can put on all bathroom doors and we can put marzano bathroom doors one. It's interesting that that's one of the ways that astrology permeates our culture still in in different ways and it has influenced sometimes in ways that you don't initially realize or are imperceptible until you start Studying astrology and realizing where some of these things come from. Yeah absolutely left the walls. Yeah exactly and really quickly. Before i forget there's also Associations with the days of the week and venus's associated with friday and i forgot i meant i meant to mention that because you mentioned one of the gods associated with venus. And that's where we get the name friday from right yes freya friday And there's actually. There are two norsk goddesses who both seem to carry elements of venus. Freya is the one that i've most associated because she is the goddess of love and war and she rides to a chariot pulled by two cats Nana by the way her her steed amount is a lion which i thought was great But the other one in the north is fraga and the fry of friday. I'm actually not even sure if it's from freya from asia But frigate as the queen of the gods and so would be very different character but would be somewhat comparable to hera or juno in the greco. Roman pantheon awesome..

"I made a crazy risk a gamble and it's about to pay off. How did the camera work in uncut gems. Add to its claustrophobic atmosphere. Let's talk about the significance of the ending in how it was successfully built up. So uncut gems came out recently in twenty nineteen and it was directed by josh. And benny softy. It stars adam sandler in the lead role as howie rattener. Julia fox as julia. Deflationary kevin garnett as himself adina menzel as dino rattener la- keith stanfield as democrat manet. I believe is how you say that name and keith williams richards as phil phil having much more of a support role but is very significant and the ending of this film so i decided to give him his proper Acknowledgement here in. I won't necessarily dive too deep into the plot With this movie because I i think that the plot while it's important to what i want to discuss today. It isn't what discussing isn't necessarily the narrative itself but more how the narrative was constructed with structure and tone. And what have you with that But i do think it's important to have that context so i'll go into a little bit right now. The first few minutes of the movie portrays An and it shows the miners in ethiopia digging for gems they open. There's this guy with a broken leg and it's clearly very dangerous But we see these miners. And they're digging for gems. Eventually they find an opel or uncut opal which basically kicks off the plot because a lot of surrounds this opel. Or i guess the title of the film is uncut gem which i'm sure i could break down the title and have find a bunch of symbolism it was just within the title but that's what i'm doing today. So let's let's continue. What the story here We meet howie who is a jeweler who is a. He's very big on the gambling scene. We see him. Try to put bets down on basketball a lot that that's a huge piece of his character in the movie and we'll go into that element more in just a second but we learned that he owes a lot of people a lot of money and He ends up buying the this opel from the ethiopian. Minors for ya buys it for one hundred thousand and he hopes you know he's actually told. Originally the room bought it was because he was told he could sell it at an auction for you know ten times that amount at at a million so he was going to rip off. The miners essentially That was that was his plan but Well let's see what happens with that In the meantime though his wife does plan to divorce him. There's a whole family drama going with this as well In on the flip side of that. Howie is Having an affair so to speak. I mean he's definitely seeing another woman but at the same time He is you know him and his wife are already both very aware of the fact that they are about to be divorced..

I've been trying to get through to you for two weeks and every time i call darn phones busy some so glad that i got through am i. Here's my question for you paul. And then i tell you what. I think i question is. Am i stupid for believing. Ain't gonna beat alabama october nine. No i wouldn't say that In the only reason. I i really couldn't come down to strongly one way or the other. Is that alabama has to really big games before that. And until we see alabama play miami. Derek king was running his mouth today and some interview and then florida game is a little bit difficult to call and you know a and m does not really have a big challenge. I don't think until they gain but alabama does. And i i love jemma fisher. I'm a big huge. Jim officiers order. And it's is forty year and i just i see something different about this team than i have that aggie teams in the past. That were preseason hyped. I'm a grad Number twenty nine and my family new graduate for me. Now i di- maroon and white and i just keep eating jokes from buddies and stuff on facebook and we're not getting respect on espn. And we're not getting respect on on other shows. And i just and i trust whatever their experts say but i i really do believe i see this team and what held us back. Last year was the to cornerback and safety. They were freshman playing in their first big major game. Second game of the season playing in alabama but now they got a here to grow they got a year to to mature and learn the system and learn everything. And i just i think about last year i mean alabama was almost a near perfect team. So you can't read too much into that loss. I agree with you. And i frankly i don't know enough about king or the other guy but i was never that blown away by kellen mind. I mean he had some really good games. But i wasn't either. I never felt like big game. Exactly that was. We've never had a quarterback that can win the game menzel lucked out with one or two But you know he was johnny manziel. Yeah he just any. That's the tough subject. I got more on the radio i got. I don't wanna get you find or anything. Because i get a little touchy went and i sat there and watched in person That game in tuscaloosa as well as the game the next year. The two of the best games i've ever seen again you know in one robbery but the The game in tuscaloosa as as well as he played alabama still had a really good chance at the end of the game to win and probably should have. But that didn't happen. It didn't the game but that doesn't that that is not the point. I just all. I would say is wait. See how amen plays in colorado and keep your eye on alabama against miami i. I don't. I'm not trying to make notes here two weeks out. But you gotta you gotta young quarterback who's going up against a veteran quarterback and it's going to come down to whether miami can fill in enough gaps. I i don't think they can But are we are stench comsat right here next to me two days ago and i could just he. I could feel him. Moore's it last week. When he was here i could feel him characterizing. Alabama as maybe a little over overrated. Now what does that mean Let's continue Coal is in charlotte. You're on the air. Go right ahead there. Yeah well good guy. Debbie on the show. You're on the air. Thank you When you think about shane beamer at south carolina. Well i think it was a very good higher. I think he's done a tremendous job of energizing a beaten down fan base and now it's simply a matter of whether he can bring in enough quality players to be competitive at a high level. Not at a middling level which south carolina has been for too long. I agree now when you when you hire a coach. I mean you you you have a tough choice to make now know you bring in a guy. Beamer you bring in. Somebody better known like a brian harrison. And then you just have to. It all comes down to recruiting. And i never could understand. Why much champ. I mean he could get some really good players which he did. He could win some games which he did the georgia game but he just couldn't do it consistently he couldn't couldn't win a game against tennessee last year which absolutely had to he let other games get away from him. And i'm really excited by beamer. But i'm also not delusional thinking that this is going to be a great season. Thank you for the call. Appreciate it Am couple a and m. fans have called in today have been very positive very upbeat so We got an alabama fan on the air. The wants to say something about the joe. It was the other way around. He needed to see the poetry first and then the music would come that fascinates me. Well, I would you know, out, John knows more what he's talking about. How do you do it to you, Theo? Do you actually jot down the guitar tabs or or do you score the music? Adam Sandler shows his serious side in the manic 'Uncut Gems'
"Adam sandlers back. Apparently he's playing a dramatic role. So I will. We'll read the synopsis that Cynthia so kindly added to the podcast for me. So from claimed filmmakers Josh and Benny Safdie we south die comes an electrifying crime thriller. About Howard Ratner. Adam Sandler a charismatic New York City Jeweler always on the lookout for the next big score when he makes a series of high stakes bets that could lead to the windfall of a lifetime. Howard must perform a precarious high wire wire act balancing business family and encroaching adversaries on all sides in his relentless pursuit of the ultimate win? Sell the movie's called Uncut cut gem jeweler. Yeah and this movie is also set to release in a couple of days December thirteenth. Okay yeah and it's labeled as a surprise Christ Thriller Film Now when I first saw the trailer to this movie I actually saw at the movie theaters. Watch joker okay. So they played this film and Uncut Gems and to be honest. My initial reaction when I I saw the trailer. I wasn't impressed I was. I was confused. I was like what exactly exactly. You're okay so let's break this down. I think this film is going to be in my opinion. I think this film will be trash. ooh I think this is going to fall into the trash from genre really daily honest okay. So here's why one actor who is on the tail end of a successful career. who used to be in comedy? Who is trying a more serious role to one of the main stars is better known for her music than she is for her acting. Right which is Adina Menzel right. And and what did we learn in deep-sea. Ll Cool J.. Right T I in that movie that we talked about last week where it ended up being really awful right. So we've got two two out of like the three elements that we need. The only thing that we're missing is a director that nobody's ever heard of who is really passionate about this project also. We have a trailer that makes literally no sense. But okay so I would not have gleaned anything in that description from that tree right okay. I'm glad that you agree with me because uh when I first saw was like am I and I saw it twice right so I wanted to. I had to watch it twice. I was like am I like Nagaland by like what am I not grasp rasping because I can't understand apply just like drawers and like there's money and guns and vaults that he was a jeweler until I read the synopsis. Just now well I kind of put two and two together because I mean he was walking in a jewelry store. And then the name like uncut gems like I don't know that's just my thoughts but I don't understand like what exactly doc is his role like who is who is he hiding from running from what's going on. He's hiding in running from everybody. which is yet another reason why? I think this movie's going to end up being really bad because like in the trailer he says I'm GonNa make a bet on this over under and they're like there's no way that you win burr and he's like yeah but like like that's just part of the game and he's got this smug thing gone and like this is family friendly podcasts. I'm not gonNA reference all of the jokes in the language that there's some base level bad like race oriented jokes towards Adam Sandler in this film that they're like putting into the trailer as as if to like try to force you to think that it's trying to be this like edgy. Dark comedy but also is like a thriller and then like Adam Sandler's performance wants is just like so over the top smug than it looks gross. It feels like his acting feels like it belongs in a fake documentary right like a spoof documentary where he's playing like Borat like the character is just so outlandish and then you've got all these other dudes who are like these serious gangsters gangsters and Dina Mozelle. She's the one the woman who's playing his wife correct. I don't remember what she looks like. Actually playing somebody like definitely in the film Tom. She's playing she was she's she's playing Adam. SANDLERS girl I don't know why so out of place like the whole time time. She looked so out of place. You're just like even in her acting. It looked like she felt uncomfortable with what was happening in front of her. And he's like he's like you know I've made my decision vision. I'm leaving but I love you baby or something I don't know there's there's dialogue was weird like I don't I was just like left with a big question mark the whole time. I was watching the trailer and I'm a fan of Adam Sandler I love. I love all his comedy film. Fifty first date Zohar is just so so ridiculous. Oh it's so bad but so good so yeah I just. I don't know I was confused. I was a little disappointed because initially I was kind of excitement. Adam Sandler sound like what is he doing now and I just I completely missed the whole point of the trail or the ply and I don't get it yet. Judging by the trailer this movie is not going to be good but in the show notes you wrote something about what the critics say show that. Yeah so this was surprising saw was looking through different sides of talk credits who are who raided the movie and it surprisingly they rated this movie very high. Ninety five percent. Tomato made to- meter score on tomatoes. which that's like incredibly high for rotten tomatoes and one of the reviews from the top critic said uncut gems was my most stressful cinematic experience of twenty nineteen it was also one of the best and then another critic said Adam Sandler deserves an Oscar for his riveting performance uncut gems? He's absolutely brilliant here. So I don't know because he's all the most of the reviews. I was reading pretty pretty good highly praising the movie so so like the trailer just isn't doing justice. Not The point of the trailer. Are they try Giardi. And so it's like how you said it's so trash like you have to go see it because you're entry on what it's about well. What happens quite often with things like this right? So you've got this movie. That's about this like drama and this guy like a wolf on Wall Street is a great example right and this feels kind of like. It's trying to do it. Wolf on Wall Street did with business but with like betting or gambling dude who lives his high flying life but also trying to be this family guy and ultimately he's not gonna be able to do both so he has to make a decision and then there's all these as other influencing factors that people who are trying to get him and wolf on Wall Street it was like the International Trade Commission or the Federal Trade Commission. Yeah there was the FTC. So they're all trying to get him the whole time trying to catch him for drug possession embezzlement and fraud and all this other stuff and so but in this movie. It's it's Adam Sandler who's trying to play this system in the gambling world. And he's got all these people who are like illegitimate after him so it's like not cops or anything like that. That are going after Adam Sandler. It's like gangsters is what it seems like an bookies which does seem like these fight scenes. Were Adam Sandler. Just like he looks looks like woefully unequipped to be had. A fight with any of these people Just doesn't make any
