"Akin to this form of folly but less pernicious though not were profitable is the fancy of inventing some share for Shakespeare in the composition of plays which the various insanity of conjecture or caprice could not venture to lay wholly to his charge this fancying comparatively harmless as it is requires no ground of proof to go upon no prop of likelihood to support it it without so much help as may be borrowed from the faintest and most fitful traditions. It spins its own evidence spiderlike out of its own in our conscience or conceit and proper. Sit with confident. Confident complacency for men's acceptance. Here again. I cannot see a mere waste of fruitless learning morning at boot Lewis Ingenuity that shakespeare began by retouching and recasting the work of elder and lesser or men. We all know that he may afterwards have set his hand to the task of adding or altering a line or a passage here and there in some few of the plays brought out under his direction as manager or proprietor of for theater is of course possible but can neither be affirmed nor denied with any profit in default of the at least fragment of historic or traditional evidence any attempt to verify the imaginary touch of his hand hand in place of his train. Less pardonable and more presumptuous than this is the pretension of minor critics to dissect inauthentic play of Shakespeare's scene by scene and assigned different parts of the same poem two different Danes by the same pedagogic rules of numerous and Mencia radiation which they would apply to the general question of the order and succession of his collective works. This vivisection Shen of a single poem is not defensible as a freak of scholarship an excursion beyond the bounds of bear proof from which the wanderer may chance to bring back if not such treasure as he went out to sea. "I'm gonna say they can suck all the Dick's. And or whoever runs Twitter can suck a dick. But whatever just just you know, I got to bring this up. But I I can see them for intellectual property like the guy from Conan O'Brien, but I don't even wanna get into that right now. Look it up some guy soon Conan O'Brien for stealing his jokes and patent oswald's to lead expert. In it. It's it's a real trial. That's really happening. So which I think is so funny. Like Pat Oswald on the stand being like, yeah. Like, I'm I'm an expert comedian like what he what do you say on the stand? This guy like was a Twitter guy couldn't O'Brien Yousef monologue and made money off in like, it's the first time. Like we've seen him flight. We were talking before the show like Amy Schumer Dinka and other Carlos Mencia who I forgot he was a comedian. And he had this stoop stupid. Stick about like, mentally challenged people like holy shit. I forgot all about that. Yeah. He kinda like was early two thousand was a weird time where like making we're making fun of people with disabilities was still, okay. Like like, if you what was it. I don't want to do it. But it was the thing like did it or whatever. Yeah. Yeah. I I don't even want to do because it's still like fucked up, but I talked about like coming earlier. So. I don't know. I I just it. Just bums me out. All right. Let's move on to these dog shits power rankings by ESPN FC. I'm just going to read them off Martin. And then we can go into our roast. So here are yet. According to ESPN NFC, I don't know if there had been other people in the room to agree on this. I don't know if it was just one person, but they put this out. So number one is Manchester City number two is Porto. Number three is. You've meant is number four is Napoli. Number five is PS g number six's, breezy dormant. Number seven is P as v on Hoving. Eight is Barcelona nights is Tottenham in tenth is. I x. All right. All right. All right. Let's let's just. Let's just get you know, there's just address it Porto is to that is obviously the biggest like what the fuck on this list. But Martin in what universe is Porto in the top ten but second in the world. Am I misreading this my blind? What's happening? Dude. I just. All right, Manchester City, deservedly number one notion about that. Right. But okay Porto. Okay. Go to the Portuguese league. You can name. Probably three teams max on us your Portuguese or Superindent GI soccer, you can name FC Porto Sporting Lisbon and benefit. I'd be fucking reminded of benefit today. When Kevin we're talking about this. I could only name to even though I know who benefit is just. Couldn't fucking think of one and in their Champions League group. They play I'm sorry to say this, but not fucking great teams there. Best team in their group is shock four then they played Lokomotiv Moscow and galatassary they play in the Portuguese league. And they are in a easy group in the Champions League. They are I in the Portuguese lead by two points. How Indo Faulk does any of that make sense to put them second better than you Venice better than Liverpool? Napoli Chelsea who aren't even on this list. And I just found out who ranked all these people. It was shock a his law. I fuck with shocker his. This is the dumbest fucking lists that you could have put out. I am so disappointed as just bogus. This is click bait at its finest. Yeah. Like if it's not click bait than fire Shaq has like I don't like what else to say..

"News. So she is like walking the walk and talking the talk in kind of unifying, both groups of Republicans and Democrats. So she has a very like non biased opinion in what she really wants. And what I think we all really want is just to diversify the people in our political like landscape, you know, to have more women. So that we can have more women perspective. More women opinions, you know, just more women thoughtfulness within the political system to change it from just being like a place where it's majority led by white men. Not for the reason of hating white men. But for the reason. That we need to have more of America represented. There are more than just white men in America again, no hate to them. But we need to have more women more women of color like different races, different ethnicities, having a voice. So that we can be like equally represented within everything and the decisions that are political. Our that our government are making that impact everyone are impacting them in the right way. Yes. Yeah. And we talked a lot about the pink wave. So this rise of women in leadership roles both politically and elsewhere. And she's just so visibly excited about it when we were talking to her. It's just it's wonderful. And it really inspired. She's like, what are you girls gonna run for office? But no one's ever asked me. But it is like I mean, never say never my instinct is no, but she's really empowering people to think outside of what they know as a political office. She's like, you could be, you know, on the school board, like we, you know, just kind of expanding their idea of what it means to be in politics because it doesn't have to be what we see on TV. As like, I mean, I I stressed out every time I watch it. And like how do these people live? How do these people not have heart attacks on a regular basis? So I think she's really doing the work to expand ideas of how we can make an impact. So we're really excited to introduce you to green and if you'd like to connect with her listen to the end of the episode all the way through and she gives her contact infacy can connect with her and just ways in which you can get involved, and some people that are really people to watch and November on the six when you vote or if you voted, you know, before if you're doing it this weekend. And as the last thing, you know, I think that we did a great job. And I think she does a great job of being very nonbiased in sort of just getting out the facts that the voting is important, the people we elect are important, and I'm really excited for you guys to keep an open mind when listening to this and sort of when you're going out to the polls. All right. Enter this episode will catch you. Bye. In every photo. You are you're radiant like you every photo. I'm like, I just love seeing your face. It's like. Radiant tips. Yeah. Where we need to wear pink. That's the thing. Tell you heard a lot being on FOX furs the oxide. Look I went through when I was in my twenties every trench. See tell me more I had to like stop and adjust hunting. I'm actually going through that right now because we are now more public. We are now doing more photos and videos and stuff, and I really just need to take a second and figure out what colors are good for me. What cuts are good for me? What is like working for me? So and it's really like so I can show up and feel really good. You know what I mean? Yes, absolutely to what did you do to adjust fatness? Of what I realize that I wasn't smiling. Even though it might have been happier. The ass tick. Pleasant in the moment. I will. There was something going on wrong in my head. To make that Mencia slipped. And that was in my mid twenties where in? I feel like sometimes too. I have to tell people on like if I get quiet or if I'm not smiling. It's because I'm really thinking. Processing. So it's like if I'm sitting there, and I almost look blank. It's because I'm really really processing what you're saying. And I'm trying to like think about it, really intelligently. But yeah, I know exactly how you feel. What did you mean when you said like the Fox.

Man, I'm going to have to bring that down every time I do that bit. Yeah, that's gonna be a crazy bit. Anthony had a guitar. That wasn't a thing we play. That was originally Chicago riff? Yeah, the band, Chicago, that's not an original green day riff. I literally, you're laughing at me, but I'm mean that I'm not kidding. Actually. A lot of shit that green has played has been like shit already done. Wow. There are people like note for note. They stole that, but that's the thing is like, is that a yes or no? They stole that note for note. I don't know. I don't know it enough to to give a clear answer on that. Okay. But what I would say is that's only like I think five cords. And so it is the same Bennett Bannon Annette really? Yeah. I mean, it's fucking insane, but there's only so many things you can play that are like cords. That's true. But and say, like how music often works is kind of like an four beat kind of rhythm and stuff. So a lot of pop songs are you know these songs that keep coming back. It's just I understand that the nominee, but that's like pretty glaring. Only thing they play in that whole song? No, no. Chicago also does apart where they go. Because there are a lot of horns. They also didn't steal it. I mean ingred ace. No, I think they'd like Carlos Mencia stole it. Oh, I see. I mean, that's what it seems like. I just didn't know that shaqs you know what else? They still hating America for me. Oh, yeah. How'd you fuck an album recording? Good dude, America's so much. It was great. Nice dude. It was so sick and everybody who came out who listens to suicide buddies. I was incredible. Like it was so amazing. Like a ton of people came out. Saturday show was sold out. Friday was almost sold out, but like it was just so cool and like everybody like was so like into it and like free. You know, like it was very like, there's a bunch of moments that I might just add in that we're like live in the in the take but likes. Great. The difference is so interesting to me because I tried to record a novel in DC and I did four shows out there and it was so impossible to like attract people to come out enough. Like he's show is maybe like twenty people, you know, and this doing it in Chicago was like two shows you still small venue, but your real and like the ability to promote it with this podcast. And like actually show up like the club was like, we told you like we expected like low sales and like we are like really impressed. And they were like, look at all these emails from people who like like said, they are coming because of the podcasts. Wow, yeah, that's incredible. Man. Yeah. You were saying you met a bunch of listeners, right? Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Wearing feeling shirts before feeling shirts, but then like also bunch of people who are just like I mean, like some of the people I talked to the longest weren't wearing the shirts, but like dad, like really interesting stories to tell. And like I just really appreciative of like everyone who came out and like, I'm so glad it went so well. Wow, congratulations man. That's great. Thanks guys, look for it to come out soon. Yeah. Thanks for coming man. Dude, of course. So I, I'm ready to fuck in move onto other things. Yeah. No, I understand that you haven't been talking about it for very long. I don't know. So the once in Mencia does like an hour during this open mic, bro, aided. Don't tell me he. From the poor students drills. Four kids came on. That means all the kids that we're going to go up or who graduated can't go on for another hour. That's the only reason why he didn't do their jokes because he didn't see him. Back to do a tight ten guys. I'm going to be here all weekend. Check me. Others Fridays. Give them a tease exactly back. You're an asshole. Fucking asshole. You know, I hear horror story after horror stories. Sometimes Carlos Mencia. You know, I liked his early work, but I don't know what happened to him after he lost weight. I was also in sixth grade once. His his, his album after he got us the ceiling, whatnot. The first thing he opened with was like men America's the greatest country in the world like you pandering? Yes, that's. So great. Isn't it? What that's the one thing. Everyone. The truth. Well, let me believe that or not. You know what the fuck you're doing on there saying, give it up for the truth. You have no point of, you can't steal it. The generates man. How long how long have you guys been together as a group? I don't know so much UV the 'cause we went in February thing. So we it was March because we got back and it was my birthday and I took much. That's what made the trip exciting, Jeep and body was in a four star. But we were there last year. We had a Nissan the first time Orton eight more. I'm going to be honest man driving the car. You stick me in the Nissan with like more the war person. You kidding me stick me in the Nissan with my mind. Like I can't be that close. I gotta go up this week tour Landau from a son. "Sometimes you have to search by the way that's happened many times and I don't. That doesn't bother me anymore. It's like straight up verbatim and we're, there's no debate. Yeah, I'm, I made a similar joke. Well, whatever it doesn't. It's happened many times it reminds it just reminded me of like, remember this happened when I was in high school when like there is all the Mencia stuff where Joe Rogan confronted Carlos Mencia the comedy store and it went viral. It was like a whole thing. But one of the jokes that Joe Royle. I was mad about is he's like, well, he brings out our issue fear and like Ari Shapiro and Carlos Mencia arguing and is like you soul. My joke about the wall and like they cut to like them making the same joke. And the joke is just like, oh, Bush says he wants to build a wall who's going to build it and like literally five hundred thousand open mic also came up with that joke. It's just a bad joke. Yeah, like it's just it's literally just it's right there. It's like obvious what right, but I really hope. I don't really know that whole situation, but it seems like he really was stealing people's stuff. Maybe not that specific joke, but I think that was just like, probably that's the prime example. But I think, yeah, like Carl was SEM stories are true, then he was there and like if people are scared to see him walk into the club, you like better do the show tonight because he's gonna dropping in on like friends shows and then like doing an hour and like bumping his friend like he was, he was stealing jokes. Obviously, he was absolutely ceiling jokes. He was like being a bad dude, but I think that specific joke was just like, this is the hill you wanna die on. Yeah. Like who's going to build the wall bit? Yes. A, it's like a joke. That is funny when people do stuff like that because it's like right indicates like, oh, you, that's your price joke. Like why you're choosing to calls your own. Yeah. Interesting. And then there's the element of like the Twitter. It's like, you know, something will happen in the news and there's like, you see it and you're like. There's five jokes to be made right here and like you do you like, I'm sure somebody's done this already like the obvious jokes and everybody will make the same joke about like, no, of course. You know, usually within five minutes, people make versions of the same one. Yeah, you watch which I was like, yeah, I'm not gonna do an in my feelings tweet, you know? Oh yes. Do a take on, although I was parody. I've seen a lot of people say, do you love me? And it's like. Yeah, you know, although I will say I was thinking the other day that just like the funniest possible thing to do right now would be just like, if me and you just became just like we just did a KiKi in in my feelings. Chad, not not joking. One tried and like started to do those. We do. Do that and just like crash car into a pool, look, not even just do one for real just like and get people. Everybody would hate us. Yeah, that's the funniest thing I can think of us doing just a dead. Just try what was the first KiKi video where somebody is jumps out of their car and jump. It was Mickey is is the that guy? Is this guy Maguy Drake, like interested in back to the source patient zero or like hanging out in the club together? The the original in my feelings guy, he started maybe he, it was planted. Can you think of a joke you didn't on Twitter that you saw someone else someone else's hot take is the same joke. Oh, where somebody like did a joke of man? I don't know. I mean, I, yeah, I think like I've definitely seen people seal tweets. I've seen people steal my essence onstage see is what you don't want us as something Dane cook said about Steve Byrne. That's a classic Merrin classic Merrin episode. The essence I like doing joke is one thing. But yeah, the essence that's. Draw the line, right?.

"Actually exist i'm wondering if you invented this device where it's you know it's a accomplish compilation show right but you but they went and filmed the flashbacks you see mc'ing usually of a flashback show is old adage for the that is linked to gather yes yes we did do when was it about when they all matt yes l met how we the way we met away wacko right yes and i don't believe any show had ever done that before really yep yep invented by did you invent that device well maybe we as a staff invented that device because you know it's very collaborative the at least it used to be very collaborative the way that you put shows together new go often write the script but then you bring it to the table where everybody has a say in how things are done and also in breaking the story it's very collaborative it's gone elaborate of but the on this show i think specific eu it's just your name as writer reid who negotiates that if if it's collaborative who negotiates who gets that the the name on the slow when well you latest sign mencia you get assignments so you're assigned a script everybody gets script assignment so you and it may even be the story that you came up with any you said i have an idea about doing this and then they say okay and then you break the story you may break a lot of it yourself or you may do it as a group and then you go off and you write that script and then you have that first draft and that's where everything takes off from their y'all so maybe you want to change things are maybe people have different note sur or maybe it's so good you just do a punchup you know you punchup jokes and things but everybody has a hand in every scrip hm but the major work is done by the credited writer i see right you're of you sort of carell.
