"Coming up today on the nice guys on business. I think that we all have genius at flows through us when we're when we're open and we're ready and we're staying in that flow state. Surely the can't be serious. They are, but don't call them Shirley. Meet an education on how to grow your business. The nice guys are here to help learn about great customer service networking and how just being nice can help you prosper. Now here all your host, Doug Sandler and Strickland Bonner. We're going to take a little bit of a walk on the woo side today. That's actually how I started my intro for you, and I'm like exactly, but I'm okay with starting a little bit on the Woodside see guy community. Melissa semen was interested me about a year ago and let me say this. She's fucking legit. Okay. I know. I know. I know. I know. I know we have some nonbelievers in our community, and I would have to say that. So recently I was probably I was probably one of them, but and then I realized the universe works in some serious fucked up mysterious ways and Melissa's gonna share at just spent about five minutes talking to her about all of the of the mysterious ways. The universe actually comes collectively to you, and I know you're going to get into his also some Melissa's about to share with our funky bands, the ways in which those ways those mysterious ways can actually come to life. But everything about Wu is what Melissa, at least in the beginning. I thought she was not. I mean, reading your bio and then getting to be a friend of hers and then getting understand it a little bit. She's af Stanford educated lawyer, business strategist, and. Leaders leader and dumb. She's gonna, discuss this thing called your soul gift. And again, if there's anybody out there, I want you just that does not believe or even if you do believe, just fuck you for just one second. Okay. Just to sit back for just a minute, just roll down your window of skepticism, just enough so that these next fifteen twenty minutes that than I are gonna talk will allow some bit of of of, I guess, knowledge let it bake in for just a moment. I'm gonna talk about Melissa's going to talk about what a soul gift is what your soul gift is, what your genius is. Stay tuned. She's here. She's gotta get forty at the end of his episode. Also what that was like. One of the most fucked up enter introductions, but you know, Melissa, you're so much more worthy of that. I could hit stop right now and do it all over again, but I don't think we want to. I think we should just roll or anything yet channelling baby channel. Okay. Well, let's start there because actually that was my first question I had written down is like, what am I gonna talk to Melissa about? I know I've had you on our Biswas podcast or we have had some conversations and I took your your soul gift challenge and we're gonna share with people how they can do that too, but what is challenging channeling? What a challenging, what is channeling? Can we start there to begin with challenging about are challenging right now? You know. I like you say, I'm an ex lawyer write a recovering lawyer, and I work with a lot of professionals late. I work with Silicon Valley executives. They work with company founders and and so for me like the whole woo thing at first when I got going with the wou I was now is not so much for it. But where I'm at now is we can put the stuff to work for us and it can support the bottom line. It can make stuff clearer. So the big challenge, I would say with channeling as people think it's something weird truth is the most brilliant company founders innovators, high end professional people that I work with, they are following their gut. They are getting into their flow state. They are following, you know, that sort of mysterious intelligence that moves through them without thinking too hard. Yeah. I look at the that voice that inner. The voice, and I just say, how can it not be? How could that not be something like channeling? If it's not if we don't call it channeling on our side, if we call it our inner genius, if we call it that gut instinct, we call them in that inside voice that whatever it is that you call it nice guy community. You can call channeling. You can call it your inner voice, whatever the fuck you call it, it just know that it's it's not just a blank stare stare staring at you. This is actually an energy force it's coming through you. Well, yeah, I only have to convince anybody anything because I just ask a couple questions like, you know, have you had that moment where you're standing in the shower and you finally unwind, and then suddenly that problem you've been noodling on for days the answer just downloads like, ooh, where the heck did that come from? And it might be an answer that you wouldn't have even thought of. It might be an idea that when people say, how'd you get that idea? You shrug and think, I don't think it is my idea. I don't know where it came from and I would say, well, that's that. That's what I'm pointing to is the fact that we're all. These, you know, on a good day, I think we're kind of empty hoses that we allow something really great to come

"Be experiencing all the things all the time. They tend to push their bodies to the limit with extreme sports or with just trying different diets. They tend to like trying different ways of being in relationship or being in community, and they bring a lot of expansion to the team. You know, they test the limits. They pushed the edges of the box, and that's great to know about explores they also don't like to sit still. So, yeah, explorers, expand all of us by testing the limits in ways. Many of us are not willing to, you know, what's interesting I would. I would say again, I don't mean to make the so Meese center, but it's my show. Fuck it. I'm going to do what about one. And so I. I looked at, I look at that category and I do remember now explorer when I took the test and I in the quiz and I and I remember that I do like to push limits, but I'm not someone that was born just to push those limits. I feel like I try to, you know, I make bold moves. I make big moves, or I make moves that I feel like are important for my life in my well being, but I don't wanna just do it for the sake of testing limits as an explorer. Do it just for the sake of testing limit like hit. Let me see what happens if I push the red, but yeah, it's what lights them up. Just like a messenger is lit up by sharing their message in the world. They receive their deepest fulfillment from testing and trying and expanding. That's what that's what lights up in the same way that a transmitter is lit up by giving their gift of energy, or you know they're healing gift or their gift of magnetism to a community and watching the community respond and come together or to individuals to. It depends on what they're transmitting, but you know, we're all lit. Up when our natural intrinsic gift or talent flows in his received. That's what lights up. So Melissa. So this was a system that in in in labels that you created, or is this a system that you're tying into? Is this came to me? Gosh, it's been years now. I was using it internally, so it's an original system that that I was using internally because I was doing intuitive work queer. I get on the phone with someone just for an hour and I need to drop in mmediately and understand them so that I could advise them as to what's the ideal niche. What's the ideal product line? They're building, you know, there's a lot of things that my clients are hiring needs to give them in a very short order. And so asked forward that my intuition would tell me immediately even before the call. Oh, this person's a crater with a messenger secondary, this is their purpose. This is what they're here for. Not already have that information as I'm getting on the call from my own. Intuitive knowing. So curious since you've created with system and how, how long ago did you create it about how many years ago? Four years I think ago. Okay. So about four years ago. So since you created the system and and you've had a chance to work with a number of people in a? No, we met at the new media summit last year and and we and I know you've, you've put a whole bunch more people through your system in or through your quiz, and I know that a bunch of people have probably talked to you. Has there been a sixth one is crop cropping up? Is there as a new, a new, like, you know, it's hard to categorize people just in the five quest patients, you know. Is there something that you've seen that's outside or a combination of two that you want to you trying to rename or at all? There are the combinations, and that's why I've started talking about people's secondary gifts, but no, I have not had. It's been pretty cool. Like what I do get is the creators will write me back and say, I think I could improve your quiz. I would just what creators are supposed to do. Transmitters right back and say, well, I got transmitter, but I feel like I'm one of everything because that's how transmitters are the messengers right back. And usually just say that was really well worded. I see. Well, yeah, it's been. It's been pretty solid it. You know, I I would say the most rare notation is the explorers. I don't get as many explorers results, but man than ones who identifies explorers really feel scene because it's something that they're rarely acknowledged for it's a, it's a very cool quiz in. It's not a long quiz either. It's amazing how quickly you can. You can kind of funnel yourself into one category or another. And again, if you have not had a chance to take Melissa quiz in hearing Melissa on a previous episode over on biz wiz, nice guy, community member, check it out. Now it's at Seoul, gift quiz dot com. And again, it's just a few. It's not many questions at all eight questions. It takes two minutes. Yeah, so so go ahead and do that. And so tell me how this now that you know this information about someone, it's it's almost like knowing their personality. Style personality traits using any rub different personality assessment tests that people go through when you know that, tell me how communication is affected and tell me the benefit of knowing not only who you are, but who the people that you're talking to our as well. Well, you know, the benefit comes back around to what we started the show talking about which is that when we're open, then we can literally be channels of the most easy, effortless gift to the world. You know, when you just feel like you're just in your flow. And so the first step to that is to identify what you're not what you are and I say, what you're not I because the first thing that happens with most people when they take the soul gift quiz, they realize, oh, shoot, you know, I've been, I've always been pushed the creator, but the truth is I'm a messenger and I have a transmitter secondary in. That's why I'm sensitive, and, oh, what a relief, you know. And in that relax, Asian in that role. Leaf that channel that that flow state is is able to relax into just allowing what your intrinsic designed to flow through you instead of working so hard. And you know, I think we all know that when you try really hard to remember something, you won't remember it. If you dry really are to come up with a new idea, your idea might suck. Whereas when you stop trying and you, you allow yourself to be who you are and take some breaths and to relax. That's when the best ideas come to come through on vacation, right when you try not to the warring foward dry. And I've even gotten to the point in with some things where I say, let me just let me just shift. Let me just shift to talk when think about something completely different. And oftentimes that that problem that I was working on, if I revisit at the harder, I try the less less progress I making. If I. Lead up the gas for just a moment and go onto something else or or take a nap or go for a walk core or maybe it's a weekend away. You know if it's a bigger problem that I'm working on our bigger solution that I need. Oftentimes it will come just with the with a little bit of relaxation a little bit of different thinking. Yeah, I'm I started the top of the show just saying that that there's many in our community that probably are are not are nonbelievers. As I think I was a non believer. You know, maybe even as as soon as as early as a couple of years ago Mowatt you say to those that are out there that are your that are your naysayers. I know you don't need everybody to believe you and you're not focused on, and I'm not that crazy. You know, the truth is like there's a lot of people who talk about this stuff in a lot more woo terms than I do still loyally. Like I still say the proof is in the pudding. Let's do what works. And I'm not interested in talking about a bunch of, you know, irrelevant, fascinating cosmic information. If it doesn't make my family better if it doesn't make my business better, if it doesn't increase the bottom line, if it doesn't make me feel more fulfilled than it can all go to heck, you know. But it's Dan, Melissa. A mercury is in retrograde and you know, it's. Start it. I wish you know something about astrology though is like one of my final straws because I'm still such a skeptic inside and this stuff like the more of these things that actually work almost roll my eyes and like really big, I know, but it's stuff it when this work with I plan my business to some extent according to the moon phases according to retrograde stuff. Why? Because I make more money because I get less tired because it fricken works and I'm just still kind of amazed. I know it is amazing. That is much as one could actually approach any any anything that's got a little bit of Wu in there and say, hey, listen, astrology, or the position of the moon and stars and mercury. You may just say, hey, look, this just just hocus pocus, but I'll tell you some there is a lot to be said about about the reality of what happens during those times trade. So you can bend deter a. Tarot card, however you want to, but I'm telling you when the actual things that are coming up, you're like, holy, fuck, that's actually happened. Do you know that's going now? I don't think they're so ambiguous that they would fit into anybody's world. Just like, I think that what you're saying with these with with the five types. Yeah, I think that you fit in one fits into each one of those categories. Someone fits into each one of those categories. It will help you find your genius and and it is. It is a really, really a coal system. So what's what's next up for you like so what? What's your hope what your plans are now you've, you've created these five types. Now, what happens? Well, I'm working on a book called channel, your genius. I love that on and I'm working on a whole new sort of training program that it's the stuff I've been doing for executive coaching clients for years. Now that as a training program to help them open to that flow, you know to help them open their channel of genius there. Tell open themselves as an instrument right of their most brilliant best ideas and to show people half or the map for receiving a brilliant download, and then strategizing it appropriately so that you can bring something to market. It that still holds the original power and spiritual integrity of that giant. Aw moment you had so Melissa. Sorry, go ahead. Cash is going to say because look around like there are some problems we need to solve swiftly and in my experience and the best ideas do drop into us out of nowhere when we're open and as long as we are able to bring them all the way to the real world in ways that make a real difference. I feel that this is a major key that we've been maybe overlooking in our attempts to be overly logical, overly analytical. That's the slow way. We can do it faster. We can do better. We can build it. We can open, we can open and let the flow come through and and be genius, regina's and carnet. So Melissa, if there was someone out in a nice guy community that wanted to get more information, I who would be the ideal type of person to work with you. And Secondly, how could they reach out if they wanted to thank you. Well, the people who best utilize me tend to be professional creative. So whether they are innovators company, founders, product designers, industrial designers. I get a lot of creative people who are professionals, so they, they want to bridge the these worlds, you know, and when they bridge these worlds, wonderful, innovative things come out of it. And honestly, the sole gift quizzes, the first place to go. And I just direct people there because that puts you in direct touch with me in a soon as you take the quiz. If you choose to opt in, then you'll get emails and you can Email me back. I, I read my emails. I'm one of those people, thousands of people taking this quiz and I still read his as amazing, eight questions, two minutes, soul, gift quiz, got dot com. It's it's very cool, and you're gonna find out a lot about you. And what's interesting is I like the follow-up emails that were sent to me. They were. They definitely hit a strike nerve for sure. They make you realize that what you are, who you are directions that you go tap into that the genius that you have in you and you can pretty much accomplish anything. Just understanding who you are is the is the best place to start a gift quiz dot com to get in touch directly with Melissa Melissa. Thank you so much for being on the show and share and all your info. And are you going to new media summit again? Are you a new home? Is on this it out? I'm worn out working in it out.
