Making Automated Machine Learning More Accessible With EvalML
"Can you start out. A bit by describing. What the project is in some of the story behind how it got started and what the reason was for creating in the first place. I can talk a little about that. So valla mel as you mentioned is automated machine learning library and so maybe to talk a little bit about what that means. We can talk about the workflow for machine. Learning usually as i think traditionally with machine learning refers to like being the select data and then models and then the model parameters and that's quite difficult to do by hand. I think usually it requires a lot brute force or specific knowledge whether about data science or also just the field and what i think my manager likes to refer to. It's trial by grad student. Basically just a lot of like root for trial and error until auto l. Annabella mel and sue simplified that process so the user instead only have select the data that they care about that describes system of interest and then auto is supposed to help you select both the type of model and also the parameters for your model and a little bit about like how that came to be so i can speak personally at least like i came from a background where i had used machine learning in some of my courses but i wasn't very familiar with it and in the courses where a used machine learning. It was exactly what. I described where i had to use specific models that maybe my for blessings had talked about are. We went over loss. I didn't really understand how to tune the models or exactly how to like get better performance except try different parameters so there was a lot of frustration on my part where i was just trying a lot of different things and like seeing the scores. Go up and down and not really like understanding how to approach it well and spending a lotta time on so. I think because we saw a lot of frustrations out there not just in modeling in data signs process in general about knowledge is created through that process.

What Falling Yields Tell Us About the Market
"We start off with a roller coaster ride for the market. The sap closing well off its lows of the day but still snapping a seven day winning streak the dow dropping more than two hundred points while the nasdaq eked out a new record. The move comes as rates crater the yield on the ten year treasury falling to the lowest level since late february so what are yields telling us about the market here. Dan what do you think. I think they're telling you. The expectations got way too high at some point in q. Two for the economy the economy for the reopening for the global reflation the fact that there was going to be in some way kind of all happened at the same time. And then we're gonna get kinda of pre pandemic levels and start to think about valuations on a normalized basis post pandemic and you listen. We've been talking about this. I feels like every night since late. March the bond market sniffed it out the bond market stiffed out that maybe the fed is right at least in the near term about inflation. Maybe some of these pressures being transitory. Then maybe second half growth is not going to be is rip roaring as a lot of expectations based on. I have i just make one last point the last time the ten year. Us treasury yield like you said mel was at one point. Three five percents. That was in late february. You know the s and p five hundred thirty nine fifty so at some point the stock market really liked the idea of rates being able to go up normalized to some degree. It may not like him if they go too low. But what happens if it means that we entered into the pandemic in a deflationary environment. That's more negative and worrisome for the overall markets than any type of inflation spike that we saw even if it was transferred

Rookie Reply: How to Find the Owner of a Property (Without Being Creepy)
"Joey's question. I was driving a new part of town and came across a house that had a yard that hasn't been maintained months in the house. Looks uncapped any suggestions. On how i should go about the owner and asking if they will be interested in selling things in advance for joe here. This is a really good question for us. Because i feel like we both go and look at properties and immediately. Try to figure out okay. How do you buy this. So the first thing i would do is if you see this property okay. Obviously write down the address for it. Then there is g. i s. mapping software. so just google your county. Gps mapping and. It should come right up. So this is a parcel mapping software you can type in the address and it will give you options such as what the county taxes are who the property owner as and a mailing address for them and also kind of give you an estimate of the lot lines of how big the property actually is. How many acres. So i would start there looking at that and then you can also see an owner's histories. Maybe they've owned it for a really long time or maybe they just bought it within the past year. You can view that too. And i know tony will wanna talk about this too. But there's also prop stream that software that we both love. And i knew i use it daily now i love it so you can try upstream. What is it tonia. seven day. Trial seven-day free trial We need to get the sponsor sponsor here. We're sending a lot of business there. Were i think you know the big things to right like i. Joey loved that you're mature enough as an investor to identify when property does look like a potential opportunity to buy like so many people they drive around all day pass so many opportunities and they don't even recognize it so the fact that you're a rookie. But you have the awareness to identify potential deal when you see kudos on that. One asked his advice. A spot on ethnic using stream is a great way to get in contact with the potential owners of this property. Super simple you plug in the address and once you have the property pulled up you can skip trace that person for things. Like twelve cents per skip trace so literally for a few pennies. You can figure out who the owner is gonna phone number of potentially an email and you can either send him a text message. Okay you know. I'm actually by your property. Cures to be interested in selling. Send them a postcard. I've heard other real estate investors that as they're driving around they'll take a picture of themselves in front of the property and mel that as opposed card to the owner.

Dario chartres we'll get the volleyball and beat a double double in the first half eighteen and tenth. now fourth quarter. Here's where it gets decided. Good game minutes of play. Sixers down six and more from joel. Well below the handles look at this. Spin a rama. He had thirty eight points. Seventeen rebounds now sons on the other end. We're under twenty seconds to point the shot clock winding down devon booker looking for space that macbook against to go. He had nineteen sums up six five seconds to play. Gotta get it or they do chris paul. He's got twenty eight points on the night. Two free throws what is he would make. The first here comes the second. It's no good sixers. What's going here is fundamental to the brand to the brenda content model because the core and not from editor in chief. Just show mayer. He says let me put it this way. I don't think as aggregrate to have a single source of funding. Every every day of the company was praying sustainable. For me we part of the core dollarshaveclub business announce excite with a point. That's why you know. The print magazines that the matches company stopped all of these things. They're the male ceos whose funding will there. They're marketing channel effectively. And you know we've seen a particular last year we've seen so many marketing channels and platforms just kind of get excised from plans so to the point. That magazine was integral to dull shaped walls as a kind of you know obscure marketing channel. The i i didn't notice soon as it turns out. Nicolas Flamel and the Philosopher's Stone
"If you're a harry potter fan the name nicholas fla mel is probably bringing some bells for you. Nicholas and his wife. Paranoia are mentioned in jk rollings. I harry potter and the philosopher's stone. They're both over six hundred years old. Because in the novel nicholas has discovered a magical artifact that makes him immortal in the united states. this object is known as the sorcerer's stone but for simplicity. I'm gonna stick to the british term philosopher's stone now supposedly this stone is incredibly powerful legends about it have been around for about two thousand years. They say it has the power to turn any metal into gold. And it's connected to this beverage called the of life which keeps you alive forever. It's not super clear of the philosopher's stone makes the elixir. Or if it actually is the elixir or if the recipe for the stone is close enough to the elixir. That if you can make one you can make the other either way. The central idea is consistent. If you discover the philosopher's stone you can become immortal. Ancient accounts describe the stone. Bright red and it wasn't really a stone at all. it was actually more like a powder or a fluid something you'd add to a bubbling vile to create anything. You want and i do mean anything. See alchemists just trying to get rich and achieve immortality. They were trying to unlock the fundamental secrets of the universe. Like why lead is led and knock gold or why me and not someone else and the idea was that with a for stone you could transform anything or anyone into whatever you want it. And it's not like there's just one stone because according to out chemical tradition you can actually make a philosopher's stone so researchers weren't necessarily trying to locate one. They were trying to create it. Supposedly the closest anyone ever got was this guy named nicholas flannel.
"mel" Discussed on NFL Live
"Your favorite prospect in this class? I one guy to watch. And it's always mentioned offensive. Lineman watch in the trenches MCI Becton. He just manhandles people. It's got that means great. Use the dancing bear six six and a quarter three hundred sixty four pounds hot talk about Justin Jefferson. The forty ran todd and I were sitting there. Wondering what the Heck's all when he runs a five hundred forty at that size pretty amazing. That can promotional todd from bobby do you see? Kyle Duggar from Lenore Ryan. Staying at his position or moving to linebacker. I see him. I really do seem safety. I think he's a strong safety type. You can move them in the box tech. You'll get used from clubs that number. Nineteen you watch him in inside the box. He's more of a will linebacker. Every time I talk to is going to be there but Dogar to me is fast. He's got the four four speed. I think he's going to be a free safety. Mel Witch Position Group isn't deep in this class and could cost teams to reach about richest positions. We thought Jared Vanderbilt made a top died. He wasn't productive any rats. Low forty time but the COMBI is Roy. Cole commit Notre Dame the way back from the injury rate against Georgia Good Athlete Baseball player Pitcher at Notre Dame as well coq met in the second round light Harrison Brian Clark Atlantic Atoms trautmann paper. There's a lot of mixed opinion on these tight ends. I'm like is in the second third round others things they're very overrated tight end. Got To pick the right guy at that spot all right switching gears. Colorado slow viscous. Chanel has been of the most dynamic wideouts in the PAC twelve and the last two seasons is seventy five percent catch rate second among PAC. Twelve wide receivers. He asked most yards after. Catch your with the question and I played Seaver University of Colorado and these questions today are for male and todd based on my personality will ever I e C me and last question is where do you see me into years? Oh the double barrel question. Todd you gonNA take this first. The best fit personnel. I think he's he's a good fit somewhere in that second round range right. What he does best is provide versatility. You can use them as a running back. You can put them in the slot. You can put 'em out why I like watching his game on tape and seeing him live. How physical is the ability to do a lot of different things and catch the ball and traffic and then create after the catch is what I like about him. Now he doesn't have great speeds and some teams are frustrated about the fact that he doesn't run a four four but I think Chenault is GonNa wind up being a day to pick who winds up in the League for a long time and his very very productive and I think we have a new question since we've been doing this in real time. There's that question for him brandon. Mel What can you tell us about that? Bread I think would make sense for the Green Bay packers in the late first round. They need a wide receiver. Desperately one of those receivers. Whether it's you maybe Chase Klay Pool. But it's not as consistent as I was catching the ball I from Arizona. State ran four five vertical over forty out of hecuba. Years got returned skills as well. Green Bay needs a weapon to help out. Devante atoms for Aaron Rodgers Brandon from Arizona State. Maybe could be that guy in the late first round all right. Melancholic reportedly had a core muscle surgery today. But should be ready. So we'll continue to watch that. Thank you fell GEICO. Gets you access to licensed agents twenty four seven which means that? Geico is always there for you. If only everyone was always there for you like your wife when you forget your keys at work. And you get my text. I am looking for the spare Hausky. Maybe I can get through. The window. Turns out the alarm works works fast. You should probably call me back. Always there for you with savings and twenty four seven access to licensed agents says. Hey Butler Las Vegas. What's more important when you evaluate a player? How talented they are. Good of raiders. Teammate they will be thank you all right Tom. Mcshea answer this young man's question what do you think about the raiders? Here the raiders need a wide receiver. Is Jerry Judy from Alabama available? Are we going back to old school? Al Davis going speed four to seven from Henry rugs the other Alabama wide receiver. I think it's going to be wide receiver or could be offensive. Lineman but I think they want speed with that first. Pick at twelve. I FAIR ENOUGH AUBURN DEFENSIVE. Tackle Derrick Brown one of the top defensive players in the draft. Not named chase young are four. Sec Defensive Lineman. Marcus fears with a question on Brown todd. Mail so fellas this the big Swag Gu. I got a question though. I WANNA know why. Derrick Brown hasn't been the focus of one of these conversations going into the draft. Is it because he's over three hundred hours or d? Tackle the dude is dominant. He's a beast. I watched him in the southeastern conference. All alone man talk about Derrick Brow. And how good are you going to be on the next level for me please? For the three hundred and Oval Base Fellas. Thanks we love you swagger of love tell me about Derrick. Brown averaged ten tackles for loss over the last three years. And they about sack totals. Who did he create for those other guys like Marlon Davidson and company hostels? He's got tremendous ability to be as todd mentioned. Xavier mckinney. Is that leader. What their ground is watching? Moving around combines kind of takes over at special presence love the game went back for senior year for the right reasons. Got Better technically. No reason. We're talking more about him. Because we always talk quarterbacks and there's a lot of those quarterbacks up there we're talking about then Okuda cornerback. Ohio State and Simmons Linebacker from Clemson. But he's right in there with Simmons as I said earlier in the show in terms of grade in this draft is right there to be a top five top seven pick overall. I mean he's so special then you watch him and I love our ESPN stats and Info Group. Would you look at him at the nose? Tackle position he had thirteen percent in terms of pressures from the nose tackle spot which was higher than anyone else in the country. Derrick Brown with Okuda as you mentioned and Isaiah Simmons. I love the quarterbacks for these defensive players really rule this draft I Marcus. I hope you're listening. Big Fella big finless. How about this Guy Field? Yates big Mac and all played football division three at Wesleyan right here in Connecticut and field as a question. What's up melon todd field? Yates you're coming to you from division three draft. Prep headquarters you know. I went to Wesleyan University and a lot of people that have Dovan on the twenty twenty class Nobel. Ben Barks the offensive Lineman who really has a chance to be probably the longtime NFL player but besides Bartsch is there any other small school prospects. Whether it's a D Two d three guy that maybe we aren't talking about enough who could be an instant impact player or least have a five plus year career looking forward to hear what you guys have to say all right small schools potential gem? Please feel like three blocks away. I can look I can hit it probably driver. Unfortunately it should be a nine iron but it's like a driver down there. I'M GONNA go with Charlie to pay and I'm sure Melvina tell me that I'm pronouncing it wrong. But the tight end coming out of Portland State Division One AA. We call it whatever you. WanNa call it but this guy it's two hundred and forty five pounds running in the four sevens and the ability to block. I really like him and I can't say his last name again. That's now you only have to you and I'm sure you left out my wofford terriers because there's too many and that's fine We'll get him next. How will this Drafi different in terms of strategy because of the unique situation we're in Mel? This may be the most important question of a mall. Does it allow. Gm's plans or does it change them in any way. All thirty two teams have the same challenges going to be interesting to see what trades the how trades are worked out. Obviously not having the pro- days as impact of the guys who are not at the combine the normally would be in that third fourth fifth round discussion. How did teams evaluate those died? Is the those guys actually come up before late April? Gm's that I've talked to are most concerned of what they're gonNA do draft weekend. They want all of their information in front of them. They want the screens. But they're worried about quote unquote the bandwidth that we've been talking about and I think it's GonNa be fascinating to watch. I think trades are going to be the most important part and what I'm told is they're going to do a lot of text messaging compared to what you usually would do with emails and phone calls by everybody. Will face to your home is important. That's why GEICO helps make it easy to save on Homeowner's insurance because home is more than just a place. "In the NFL draft. Now just sixteen days away. Here's the first round draft order starting with the Bengals at one and anchored by this super bowl champion Kansas City chiefs at thirty two. And we're glad to have you for you've got now and taught and here. They are mel kiper junior and todd mcshay and we want to know your questions as well. We'll take them over the next hour. So use the Hashtag ask Mellon tied and we will hopefully read your question on the air and we will start off where else with the top of the draft with a question from Colby. Covington this via twitter. Why does the mainstream media hate the idea of Joe? Brough to the Bengals. They clearly have a better roster on offense then does Miami mail you first on Joe Bro. A fit with the BENGALS team coming off a two and fourteen season. I don't get it when the I have been saying this for months. I mean the Bengals have been the two super bowls Kenny Anderson boomer size and they had success with Carson Palmer and Andy Dalton and this notion that the bengals the number one. Best quarterback is utterly ridiculous. And it's not factual things haven't been the super bowl bucket them. They talking about the Bengals like they've been one of those perennial losers. That's not been the case or skill talent there for quarterback. There's an opportunity for Joe Borough to be with Penny Anderson boomer size and was with the bengals like I said. I don't understand why the noises there by inaccurate noise. Now I love I love it. I love the Kenny Anderson. I love the fact that you're you're jumping here with the history of it. They're gonNA take borough number one. If the only like five percent chance of anything happening at number one is going to be making a trade to move back with Miami. Miami's got three first. Round picks five picks in the first two rounds and six in the top seventy overall. I don't think that they're going to be able to make a move. I think since he's GonNa sit there number one and they're going to take jobs but the only thing that could happen is that Miami tries to make a play to get up to that number one spot but again. I think it's a ninety five percent chance at least since he's just going to sit there and do the right thing and take Joe Borough the best quarterback in this class and probably the second best overall player in this class. All right Fellas last move to the number two overall pick a question from David Robbins. I know there are no sure in any draft. A team in Washington short needs to find one chase. Young sure seems like one over to todd. Your thoughts I mean. If you throw the quarterbacks out the best player in the strap is I mean he's he is clearly the best talent sixteen and a half sacks led the FBI s last year six of those were stripped sacks. So he's getting the ball back to you. Offensively I think Washington holds tight at number two. Everyone's talking now about the potential that moving out what they're doing wendy is they're trying to get other teams to come up and give them a ridiculous deal because they know that. Detroit is going to take a deal at number three so Washington's trying to do is get four or five picks to move back and still maybe get chase but I think ultimately Mel. You'RE GONNA wind up seeing chase young as the second overall player in this year's draft. Yeah the process complicated it. The lack of the normal process and to With the injuries would they move up to get a quarterback who you haven't had that personal situation with with your doctor your medical staff and that kind of intention the detail you need to make that bold ru up and give up graphic. They haven't had that opportunity and the redskins were to. They might have considered how you've been cleaned through the process of not had those three low extremity injuries I think injury prevents the trade and prevents the Redskins from taking gus. They take the best player on the board at that point. Which is there are really so many unique circumstances to this draft in particular and Mel. Let's move now to a question from John Gallon water. Is it possible the lions would be a player for a quarterback at the number three spot? Johnny Whitney I think for what the question is. Who would they take? They were stuck at three. You've gotTA take a corner. They've gotta get some players who can cover. They traded Darius slay. They've made moves. This team is brought in a lot of guys free agency. I think Matt Patricia. Winning Football Games get guys who can cover the Stephon Gilmore this defense? That's what I think. Jeff Okuda cornerback from Ohio. State can be an opportunity down. Take it but if you're stuck to three you gotta make a no Kudos. Todd would be the guy to take all right todd question from Nick Brunson. Should the giants go with Isaiah? Stimulus or one of the offensive tackles listen. They need an offense tackle but they also need a linebacker and Isaiah Simmons to me is today's NFL linebacker yes. He has to improve in terms of take on skills and instincts versus the Ron. But this dude can play in the slot. He can cover. Do that like overhang that you really need in today's NFL. He can play in inside the box he can played free. Safety watched that Ohio state tape. The 35-yards covers to go up and get the ball. I think-i special. He's going to continue to get better and Simmons to me with Okuda and Derrick Brown the defensive tackle from Auburn or the three best players really overall in this entire draft. That are not quarterbacks. All right the dolphins guys currently have three first round draft picks. That's the most of any team in this year's draft in two thousand twenty and in their most recent drafts. Both of you have the dolphins focusing on the offensive side of the ball. Starting with drafting Alabama quarterback to tongue of ISLA with the fifth overall. Pick HERE IS A. Two Fan on the dolphins as a potential destination Mellon taught. It's Allston winstead down here in Mobile Alabama. Big Fan of the program. Had a question for you. You think the dolphins are gonNA stick with two or you think somebody else is going to trade up and get him. I know everybody's concerned about his health and him staying healthy but we all know he can throw. Touchdown passes as always roll. Roll Tide Mail. You can take this one to obviously if he's there and he probably right now when you look at the injury situation will be if he is do they take 'em you hear rumblings about Justin herber title be screaming about that but it's out there and the rumor mill. We don't know what they're going to do in terms that but if I'm the I'm takin sue us. He's there because of the injury had not been for the injury. Miami would have had a trade up and give up. Some of those draft picks. Check him because of the injury is there. I had to arrange beheaded her when you talk to I talk to. I would think to not screaming on. Berry calm but I need to know who you're talking to. I have no idea who in the world would be talking to unless it's purely medical that we're not going to be the second ignored united. Imagine okay but I can. I can't ignore Justin Herbert's tape. I would much rather take Jordan. Love the Utah State quarterback because he has the potential. If I have a quarterback coach a head coach and the opportunity to develop someone. He's going to be a better quarterback than Justin. Herbert and five years. So I would rather take love than Herbert but it wouldn't unless it was completely medical where my staff came to me and said he's off the board then it blows my mind that you're even talking about it but I still love you. I have nothing else to offer. Wendy a justin. Herbert has nailed the process. He was a better quarterback on the field in mobile than Jordan. Love was he was. Mvp The game game love played in great combine. Great Pro Day. He had a good season. He's not perfect but neither is loves. A odds. Love does not perfect as well. I ain't guys talking about doing now. Because of the medical not because of the quarterback he is fragile. He's had injuries now. We're talking about the NFL. That's the reason why Justin Bieber who has been cleaned through the process as great physical athletic ability super intelligent at goodyear really good year in great process when he's talking about what happened after the season after he got out of Oregon and went to the senior bowl then the combine the pro day. I don't know how you can't. The Justin Harper is going to go very high draft. I've been I have questions about Herbert but the League or people that Love Justin her. I can't believe you don't understand. That frees mel breeze breeze. Got Me going all ready all right. Todd you were agreeing to disagree. We stop in here. I'm good to disagree I eight. I like fell tours. Ridiculous you can't say herber to now okay. Now now you're done all right. Let's we're just getting more and more questions on twitter via Hashtag. Ask Smell and todd can't promise you they'll agree. But they will is next on our sportscenter special with the bucks then veiling their New Jersey's today see what our guys think. "So we've got Kyle Murray Mel going number one to Arizona. The next question is Dwayne Haskins. We're hearing all sorts of stuff, right? His stock is falling. He's not going to be at draft night. He'll be at a bowling alley with hundreds of friends. What do you think of Haskins where do you think he falls? Here's the latest and greatest on this. They Gettleman has basically told everybody I'm not taking a quarterback at six. Right. I mean, but just by how he has said it exactly that way. But he's telling you that set it up for that. Now is that a smokescreen because everybody had said months ago, if the giants want Dwayne Haskins they better trade up with the jets at three that's all the jets and giants ever make trades. So now, they may have him fall to them that they've done everything but say, we're not taking them. So, but is that true is Gettleman being you know, trying to play a game here. We'll see that's going to be fascinating. If he doesn't. Take Haskins where does Haskins go. Well, you would have to think the Redskins at fifteen or they're going to wait for Haskins a fall on their lap or trait up ahead of Denver get to where buffalo is at nine or Detroit is at eight and take him there or just wait it out. And then does Denver Cincinnati at eleven Miami thirteen to those teams look at Haskins or do they like lock a little better? I know we've heard that some teams like lock better than Haskins. Right. Okay. Maybe the giants like Jones better than Haskins, and they're gonna take Daniel Jones from Duke at seventeen or maybe even trade up from seventeen to make sure that they get ahead a Washington to take Daniel Jones. So I think it's got these quarterbacks are so interesting because everybody's all over the place. You talked to a team they love asking. And they don't like them they like somebody. So in these themes, you talked to don't even want a quarterback they had their neck. It really is an unknown. And it makes it very interesting. I hope that we wait until draft night before Arizona makes any move which is. Rosen because as soon as they trade Rosen. It's automatic Murray's the number one pick the suspense is gone. If they waited out, then you still don't know keep in mind, John Dorsey, new two months before the draft. He was taking Baker Mayfield an hour before the draft. Some people had no idea even the scouts were untold. So John kept that quiet. He knew but nobody else knew right? What's Arizona doing it? They going to keep it quiet, and then work that trade out then or what's going to happen there with Arizona. We're only five days still the draft. And as right now nothing has happened. No one last guy want to take a look at it. The quarterback position is Daniel Jones yesterday. There was a report that there's one team in the NFL that has Jones as the number one quarterback on their board. You see he could go as high as six and some mock drafts he can go late in the first round. What do you think he goes male talked to somebody that I respect that it had one in the league as a Super Bowl ring and is no longer in the league? But knows this keeps in touch with. Everybody said don't be shocked if the giants take Jones at six while because they. If you feel he's a franchise quarterback. And he is as you say a number one quarterback in this draft. Why are you waiting? Yup. Why? Are you waiting to? Maybe you lose him at seventeen. Right. So I was told don't this sleep on that that the giants. Everybody's talking defensive player Christian Wilkins at Oliver through defensive tackles. Maybe that it is a little a curve ball thrown Jones goes at six. So if he doesn't go six then at seventeen the giants wait or do they aggressively move up to get Daniel Jones if they are the team that feels he's the best quarterback in the dress? And we don't know that that's been a speculation out there that Jones is their guy, Chris Merrill left. The owners meeting to go to the pro day of Daniel Jones, you know, about the ally. Manning Peyton Manning connection with David and obviously David Cutler coach developed Daniel Jones. So I think everything fits that. Jones. Maybe is linked to the giants for a reason..

"But right now, it is your chance to ask Mel whatever draft question. You want? Ask mail on. I thought it was a spectacular decision on a lot of level. Do you would ask Mela question? Well, that's what she said. All now, I can't believe him talking to melt freaking now ask any trapped question you want now call Dr Dorian bell now. Eight eight eight say ESPN now ask Mel JT in Pennsylvania, fire it up. Your first what you got. Well, another less than impressive beginning Melman. Great start. Let's see. Let's go to Mike in New York. Mike help us out. Save JT. Good morning now. Orange fan. Can you tell me where Eric Dungy is going to go and the draft kind of overlooked? I oh good college quarterback not the combine you think about Eric Dungy as an NFL prospect. He'll get into a camp, probably tough gritty competitor. But undrafted free agent. Gary in Florida, you're up. Good morning gentleman. Mel freak of I noticed it made fun of Orioles. Sweet outta they have a better record in the Yankees. Wore the Red Sox chasers. My dolphins move up her Detroit sober for business that it's not a dolphins possible selections in the first two rouse. Thanks, guys. Well, everybody seems to think they're going to wait until next year. Worry about the quarterback or the you're after maybe a defensive lineman. Whether pe- Sean Gerry, Michigan, a Brian burns. Florida state then come back when you think about the second round they'd be a defensive back. I said the safety position. We're gonna talk about next week is very deep Juan Thornhill Virginia and Darnall savage junior, Maryland or two guys that are fast rising up board. Yankees Red Sox. Astros. I'm just looking through the NATs cubs. Cardinals Rockies all teams the Orioles have a better record that. How could I trash the Heff game out of first place? Right. Can't do it. Andy's in Indy. Eddie what you got for from. Good morning question. Is there one player that you see kind of drop it in the draft that he was there. The colts jump all over. Yeah. How about Mark lease Brown wide receiver the home Hollywood Brown? We love him. It's just the injury. The foot injury. Is the reason why when I talked to some teams they said, well, you know, maybe Trump's a little bit wasn't even said second round by putting first pick in the second thing. Hey, wouldn't it be great to have Tyler throwing the Markey's Brown? Get that back again. Maybe arizona. I would have been my favorite team. Oh, yeah. You would definitely have the cardinals all the time. But I I think. think at that pick twenty six if he's there because of the injury, and I think he could be he's a top ten top fifteen pick. If he's one hundred percent, I think marquees Hollywood Brown. How about that? Love it. Ask Mel Dorian male ESPN radio ESPN app. Dave and South Dakota. What you got from? Good morning with the patriots dearth of picks this year. We're what line are you going down? They trade for rules. Are they drafting Brady's eventual successor thing. Well, you think about the the the second day. I mean if four seventh round picks have three third round picks a couple too. So they they have those selections, and they three they're going to be very active in round seven. I they're always a team that could be moving. I just wonder if Daniel Jones is there would they take all everything points to them taking a quarterback and they've taken Garoppolo in the second. They'd remember. They took drafted Jacoby perset and others. So I think you look at Jarrett stidham Auburn Tyree Jackson buffalo Clayton Thorson northwestern. Ryan Finley NC state. They would be guys. I think we'll be there at second third fourth round area that maybe New England if they don't get Jones could have an interest in to Mississippi and Paul Paul which you got from. Hey, guys doing this morning. Should right? Thank you. I'm a Bengal. Fan and my questions stolen already. But I guess I really like what the dolphins are doing preparing for twenty twenty. But who and late round of of this track could be something to help them for their future plant. Well, I think you look at again, you look at different positions..

"But it'll be as good as the guys that came out this past year, they're not going to have nearly as high grade and the teams that did get those guys got feel awfully good Dari that they have their quarterback. And now they can build around that guy. Mel you got twenty seconds your initial reaction when you heard about NFL owners allegedly reaching out to Adam silver to be the Commissioner. I was surprised. Because I think Roger Goodell's their Commissioner he's making a lot of money. He's done some good things. I know he's been criticized by a lot of people, but I know Adam silver's revered and every every move that Adam silver makes turns to gold, right? Seems like it seems like maybe there's some say everything he does. You know, what Adam silver has great foresight everything he does as forward thinking. Yeah. He's not locked in into twenty years ago. So I think he's done a phenomenal job and he's getting credit for it. And he's being talked about now for good reason, by the way, Adam silver, protect the pelicans protect what they can get for Anthony Davis. Let them send him home stay away from the team. Don't find him GTL Jason Goth Palin, twelve and Rachel Lindsay. That's what's next. Let's consider the secret life of the innermost nesting doll living most of her life in the duck inside the other nesting does. She has plenty of time to think if she could sanity she has no brain, however, when in the most nesting dole, his gyco, not only saves people. "Taking zero me too. And that's important because you think about slide number RG three one they will slide. He's a baseball player knows how to slide Josh Allen. We do a lot of that in buffalo this year getting out of bounds. I'll even go back to capture Knicks as capper Nick would go four yards away from from contact just to get out of bounds. And void it it. Give up the four yards. No matter. What's the difference? You pick up eight Cup twelve I'm saving my body. So I think when you look at Kyle Murray if he's smart and he's in space and he's avoiding alluding like Lamar Jackson then. Yeah, you can say healthy despite being small so again calamari for today's NFL is going to be very difficult for a team like Oakland at four you think about the Redskins. If it got down to fifteen Miami at thirteen somebody traded collar Murray, if he's all in for football is going to be really intriguing come late April. See what team makes the move to bring him in not knowing first time ever quarterback. This short will be asked to be a franchise quarterback. We'll see how that works. I gave Dorsey a lot of credit for taking Baker Mayfield at one. And it worked out somebody's going to really have a lot of guts to take Murray that high knowing that quarterback that size that height has never had that success in the NFL. Russell Wilson the closest obviously five ten they have. It's been great woj five nine five ten quarterback lay. Kyle Mary be able to do that as well. So you're big border quarterback. Kyla Marie to Daniel Jones. Duke three drew lock Mizzou four will Greer West Virginia five, and you have left number one for a man in Columbus, Ohio. Yeah. Wayne haskins. I think it's Murray Haskins as I said, I think Jones locked battling for that third spot. Finley Greer battling Manolas guys for that this spot, but I think for one to task ins or Murray, and I don't think it's a lock that the guarantee that Haskins goes ahead Murray. But right now, let's say Haskins for me the way throws the football. I'm not a lot of balls at the ground at Ohio State. You think about his mobility is not a runner, but he knows how to sense in those win the pick up and keep the chains. Move and pick up five seven yards. Get that firsthand. The way Klein the pop. Late this year the way I think dealt with face side pressure at the Penn State struggles where you had issues there yet still brought him back for victory down twenty six fourteen with six fifty to go. They win gained twenty seven twenty six at apple valley. So when you don't play great get you still find a way to lead your team to a victory means a lot Dari and any kind of built on that and improved. He only has going to have fourteen starts under his belt. We talked about Murray's height about the fourteen starts while Trubisky avenue starts, either same number and look what he's done. He hasn't laid it up and he's not franchise yet. But he's close to getting closer and closer to it. And they hope he is that kind of quarterback in Chicago. So I'll go Dwayne Haskins slightly over Kyle Murray at number one. Gotcha there it is mel's quarterback. Big board. We go a different position every week between now and the NFL draft Winfried out where we're going next week. It have we think we talked about offense again still we'll figure it out. Yeah. I got a hypothetical here. Now, it's a very deeply hypoth-. Question that I believe is a silly question on Twitter and. But I might throw it out there. Also for you music junkies. They completely unoriginal Patrick has thrown out the first same two songs for his musical theme. Our as Mike did for his. So number three coming your way next. If you got the musical theme give it to me at ESPN Dory. I who songs sweet emotion Aerosmith and paradise city guns and roses Dorian.

"I love music Mel likes music. But now and Mikey see we always challenge. Mike, you see on the board and be creative with his music or outsider mic as you might know. So we asked give us a musical theme over the course of the show a musical theme. This is clue number one. I know I think it relates to what we saw last week and how we reacted to that. Like, we get one guess per person per segment, if you've got an idea in the musical theme hit us up on Twitter when it hundred flowers dot com Twitter feed at ESPN, Dr that was Aerosmith sweet emotion you're saying because of the emotion of last weekend. All right. That's it's going to be tied to how. Is that right? If it's right. Okay wrong. Okay. He should do that regardless. And just change the theme which I think I got him during the break that. Yes, she wouldn't let you know. I got twice. I got thrown into break. Now, I'm gonna go with a chain four themes to for two right? I'm gonna go songs with sweet in the title. Know what each one each? Is that right? I like this game. I think we're gonna nail it. Hey, by the way, Mikey see for the sake of honesty, right down the theme and give it to Patrick and a folded a piece of paper we've been change trust that guy Patrick go. Find mike. You're awesome. All right. Yeah. Mel man, who's blown you away in the week of mobile, Alabama and senior bowl, I would say Chris Lindstrom offensive guard from Boston College who has got tremendous versatility Boston College. Love the way they teach and develop lineman. So I would say Chris Lindstrom. I would say Todd mcshay favorite. And he's raved about them all week. But the kid was impressive. And he is perfect for today's NFL. He's small, but he's tough. He's quick lately. Lightning-quick he was average almost eighteen yards of punt return. He was Georgia state's offensive weapon. Penny heart delay penny heart wide receiver Georgia state as a punt returns kick return experience. He was dynamic in this game. Everybody could say they were talking about the, you know, the the lack of length and the fact that cut catch radius throw the ball to the receivers three. Thrown a ball with somebody six five, and you gotta five eight guy. You throw it to a five eight guy that's on the quarterback overthrow five eight guy. Dr are you saying this because he's not the five eight guys not six to know, am I heard one more time? I think there was a brick through his at the quarterback is throwing to a five eight receiver. You don't blame the receiver being five eight when the ball's overthrown? If I heard that one more time, I was going to scream a little more than I was screaming. When I was here. It's like, you know, it's up to the quarterback to get the ball to a five three receiver fi five three throat to a six to receiver for six two so penny heart. Excellent shop Terry McLaren, Ohio State receiver caught everything beat good Cornerbacks made tough catches showed. He's the fastest guy on the field. I know he's a great special teams guys. Well, with great versatility, those kind of guy, I think McLaren went from maybe three four to a two and he would have run great at the comedy will run great at the combine coming up, but he certainly had a really good week. Everybody's talking about my tests. Wet in the past rush sweat had a great story was eighth on the big board back in early October. After you had four and a half sacks the first four games, then he went seven games with two sacks. Then he had a second-half consoled miss and half a sack against I was like to see him dominate a little more during that stretch there. But not sweat in this game where there weren't many first rounders. My test. What was the lead guy? The quarterback store you alluded to. Okay, not being that impressive, and you rougher lot of what a lot of people have said. But you're you're you're my expert on that. Well, I'm not going to say, they were I think Daniel Jones to me wasn't to the and I look at last year you had Baker. And yet Josh Josh Allen Baker Mayfield..

"Wherever you wanna go on it. Brandon in Montana. We start with you, Brandon. Hey, Mel, I'm curious if the Minnesota Vikings are going to be smart enough to focus on offensive line during this draft. An are there the offense of lineman in this draft to fix their problem? Well, I'm about six ING one guy because Greg little at old MRs who I projected there, and he's got to work on being a little more consistent. Remember came out of high school as one of the elite of the elite and he's been a good player. No question about it. He's got a lot of talent. And if he's coached up properly he has at high ceiling he could be Pro Bowl. So I think if Little's there at eighteen yeah, he would definitely be an upgrade dug in West Virginia. Doug, what your question for mouth? Email is just calling to see how how you are on will Grier not only in the upcoming draft. But as a professional well professionals what he's been, and I think that attitude that approach will help him during the interview process. He's on the board all those things for quarterback. You would say somewhat over achieving you know, he doesn't have the tremendous skill set. But he very accurate passer. So I think when you look at will Greer I'd say right now, I have Daniel Jones going to the patriots could've put will Greer there in the late first round not necessarily the patriots somebody maybe trading back in like they always do at the end of the first round. So I would say will Greer come late April goes anywhere between twenty five and somewhere in the second round Dari and mail your questions for Mel back. We started in Montana back to the north west to Idaho. And Josh Josh what she got from mill. Yeah. As I was listening to in different shows yesterday. And they were ranking the Utah quarterbacks of all time likewise top Cornerbacks this area era with Brady and Brees going in Seattle fan..

"Mel I'm just I wanted to pull out these papers and say in see that you had Cincinnati went in the AFC north kept telling everybody that I did. But anyway, let's go to NFC NFC east. We both picked it offending champion. Philadelphia Eagles if she'd beat Dallas this weekend, they will be in first place technically in the NFC east. Okay. Although it's been a disappointment for them NFC north. We agreed Minnesota. We did not see the bears having the level of success. They have had their eight and four but Minnesota right now game and a half out. And I don't think it's over yet for the schedules favorable for them. Exactly. Right. Seattle Monday night. Okay. So we didn't argue there. We didn't argue in the eastern and argue in the north in the south. We also agreed on New Orleans who is running away and hiding in fact, if they get. At one win this week or panther loss. It's they clinched the NFC south. So there you go south saints. We both had that NFC west. We we agreed on all four divisions. We both agreed on the Rams, and we're in great shape there wildcards where were we different in the NFC division left, right? No west the Rams, so west ram. So we agreed all This. this. All right wildcards in the NFC boy. Oh boy. We were atrocious. Mel. I'll give mine. I I went Packers and Niners course, Jimmy G injury. Yup. Packers and Niners while yours giants. And falcons. Yeah. Thought the giants what else good year? I really did. I thought the laugh it's of skill talent around you lie was going to be enough where they could outscore people and that has not happened. The offensive line was awful, Eric flowers has been awful with Jacksonville the metal where you go there. But I thought the giants jumped right back into the mix, and they were not able to do it. Not even close my two wildcard picks a combined six seventeen and one your wildcard picks a combined eight and.

"We are excited thrilled the heavy with us for the next three hours a week eleven of college football on a week ten the National Football League. Mel is something going to happen today in college football. That's it feels like just not that much has happened. We for the most part been kind of status quo. Six weeks ago. We could have picked the same four teams to sit in playoff position as we have right now. Maybe with the exception of your Michigan wolverines who you put into the beginning of the year. And I want to go find that out Mike at some point in the next week or two I wanna find the audio from week to the season up. Yes. You said I'm done with them. Mel it's still early. It's still really I'm doing. No, I'm done with them. I'm going with them. I'm gonna write him. I'm right Michika, emotional responses are never accurate and no. Exactly right about that. So Michigan looks awfully good. Notre Dame still sitting there undefeated. Well, they get a test today without their starting quarterback. Ian book, they're planning Florida state team that just frankly is good. But you know, that there's talent Alabama. I think has what will be their last tough test before Atlanta. You know, not expecting crazy things to happen. But who knows right? Clemson's on the road at Boston College, which is a good football team that would love to run the football down clemson's throat, but that's probably not going to happen. But there's there's some possibilities of things that will get there. Also fly under the radar with other big games will go to Georgia. Get ready for Auburn Georgia will head to chestnut hill. Clemson BC preview to Tuscaloosa for Mississippi State, Alabama your buddy Todd mcshay joins us from a game. I'm going to be paying a lot of attention to it three thirty eastern bedlam. So lots to get to over the course of the day. But let's go to the biggest games of the day. And and let's start with number one Alabama is at home against Mississippi State might just shake your head. No problem too is just going to throw all over these guys. Yada, yada, yada. There's some things we need to keep in mind. Mill one two was not a hundred percent healthy that knee. I don't care what he says the knee is a concern to MRs. Sippy. Stay is the best defense. He seen all year. Maybe the best defense. He will see all year, potentially playoff included. They've allowed to touchdowns on their opponents last fifty one possessions Mel Ken, they get to Alabama..

"He'll give you the three college pixie likes and is NFL pick, and I want to get a five AM local update. On the status of Pullman, Washington, where he is is part of college game day. It's gotten a lot of hype and rightfully so as you're hanging out with us story and Mel ESPN radio ESPN app, I know Mel is we're going to dive into the NFL. I know the NFL is king. I get it the, you know that it's not my favorite sport. It's probably not in my top three favorite sport. When I'm if I go college football, the NBA and probably major league baseball. I like all of them better than the NFL personally. And I realize I'm in the minority here, but I saw something yesterday that frankly, stunned me, even though it shouldn't have. I was looking at TV ratings and the combat. Okay. So you had the Red Sox and Astros this was two nights at Red Sox and Astros playing game five, Red Sox win. They go to the World Series. You'd LeBron James's Lakers debut at Portland. If you add up the ratings of those two games. It was like a nine point. Six, which barely nudged what I think was like a nine point, three of the Broncos and cardinals garbage. That was happening the same night. Are you kidding me? You watch an abroad goes Encarta cardinals are one of the worst NFL teams in the last decade. If you take away some of the Browns ones. And it still does the same number virtually as the Red Sox Astros and LeBron's Laker debut combine unbelievable. I'm shocked that you're gonna surprise that I shouldn't be. I know. I don't know why you would be NFL. Got a game that we know how long it's going to go. It's not gonna go four hours. It's not gonna go for these baseball. Games are going forever. I started to stay up with these games still to three in the morning and they go forever baseball. Well, one went till Elliott. They go forever. These games go and college football games go forever. And the NFL has always gotten it. They understand what it takes to keep an audience happy, and they adjust to do that. And others just sit back and think everything's great. Why the NFL Rowen because they get it done the right way in that regard in that regard. Okay. Some of the things you you might quit, but the bottom line is if the excitement about young players brought in via the draft and those quarterbacks that are doing the job right now, some are obviously will banged up, but I think you look at the excitement of teams being surprises..

"Mangum is gonna have to put up numbers and the pass game that's not going to happen. I wanna see, Wisconsin play a game from start to finish. Dominant. As I said, the offensive line's been a little banged up. That's affected Taylor a bit Dari hornbook Brooke, obviously, moving forward, can he throw the ball down the field enough? Is his arm strength improved enough to give them a little bit more of a passing game. They can really threaten the defense that's going to be important if they're going to obviously be in the final four. Number twenty two USC at Texas Mel. Is there a harder to figure out game in the country today then USC Texas today? It's one of the games you'd say it's a, it's a pickup game. Now I know Texas is what a three, three and a half point favorite. But you know, one paper. What are you looking at it you two teams that are weak, the weak and what you're getting. And it's mainly because of the young quarterback Daniels that that USA a lot of new players, new entities there Elling there's more of a quarterback who season we know that, but they just they have not been able to play a complete game yet either. I think Texas is probably the team that has more of a chance to do that based on what you've seen. They have weapons and Johnson, and Humphrey, and Humphries obviously been the guy who stepped forward leading the longhorns in receptions, but everything's kinda hit or miss with them right now. And I think they're trying to figure it all out with Texas and USC the same type of thing. A lot of pressure on clay. Helton the ROY. Straighten this thing out this if JT Daniels is in fact the right guy moving forward, highly recruited guy. Everybody's got great expectations when you take over Sam darnold it's going to be very difficult, especially with them new entities. As I said at the skill position starry two teams that you're right, it's hard to really get a real crass for what kind of teams they are. USC scored three points last week at Stanford. I know Stanford's a really good football team and good defensive team, but three points with all of the skill that SE is supposed to possess all over the field, especially on the lightest at offensive line and skill positions. Yet they ran for three yards of Kerry. They turn it over three times, and then there's Texas who has a Texas alum told me this week at work. If Tulsa had a field goal kicker, they'd beaten Texas. I mean, this is I don't know what we're going to get, but at some point, one of these teams is going to have to break out and begin to approach the team that we expect that team to be over the course of this. Clay Helton pressure, Tom, Herman, I think even though it's young and early in his tenure, it could start to mount here. Somebody is got to show something in this game. USC hermits von taxes. The Herman let them evolve inside for now for clay Hilton. There is pressure. I don't see either one of these two teams being much of a factor of this year, so you're right. The Texas, the three and a half point favorite or paper. It should be pick him. Number twenty, three, Arizona state at San Diego State ten thirty eastern and sandiego Arizona state and her Edwards. How about that team? Twenty third, ranked team in the country. I keep saying twenty four. I'm costing them a spot to know after last week's win over one of my playoff teams, Michigan state. So team has played good defense in their last two in their two games. They will out sixty five yards on the ground this season sixty five and that's what sandiego state's gonna wanna do is run the ball, right? You want Washington just their most recent feature back, but can they do it against state? It is a good road test though for him. Sunday was no doubt, yeah. Is there any letdown after beating Michigan state? That's what you're looking at. Any letdown her obviously is gonna I'm fired up. We'll be talking to harm about that, but San Diego State. So one dimensional Dr. You mentioned Washington Washington, joined Washington, had that big first half against Stanford. It did nothing in the second half because David Shaw made the adjustments and there was no threat of a passing game Reshad pennies. Not there..

"At chestnut hill. We'll be brutal BC and it could be a seven eight when team. So that's, but outside that the schedule is favorable. So if you can't kind of matriculate through that and win, then the hurricanes have no chance. And then you gotta be Clemson, which I don't think they will. But the quarterback, as you said, Rozier has got to be a lot better than he was last year. Who else are we leaving off of our college football playoff that you think we're robbing to some degree again, eight eight. Say ESPN eight eight, eight, seven, two, nine, three, seven, seven, six mel's playoff teams, Alabama, Clemson, Michigan, Washington minor, Alabama, Clemson, Michigan, state Penn State. It's just it's. It's just such an automatic, isn't it? That that we right in Alabama and Clemson. I don't know if that's good. I don't know if that's not good. It's just it's just it just is Toby is in Auburn, Alabama right now, Toby. What's your take on our picture. The. My thing is the fact that you guys think Washington's gonna beat Auburn just makes me laugh as much as watching males projections and the draft shot shot it Mela side. We did not say what hold on. We do not say Washington's going to be. Hey, the funny thing is I like Mel, I'm not a big MC sake. Funny thing is you heard something that nobody said. That's the thing you said wash. We didn't say Washington would beat Albert. Neither of us said that while you got Washington in the playoff, Meghan Washington plan so they can lose to Auburn. I said they used all. Here's, here's. Here's the thing. I would be willing to bet you a war eagle Dari from you on the live air that Auburn beat Washington by at least fourteen point. I think washing, I think Auburn will be Washington. I and I didn't until a few weeks. I've just kind of transitioned by fourteen though. Yeah, by fourteen auburn's defensive line will run through Washington's offense. They just throw their first pack of cigarettes from the gas station. Where's the war? Eagles. The warriors coming on radio or on SEC network. Wherever you want and you're, you're the superstar. I just wanna hear it. You've been there. You've been on the planes. You know what? It's about. You guys do a great job. I appreciate that. I'll give you a worry if I saw. I end we picked Washington nobody did for that for that for the record. Let's go a little more leeann, South Carolina. What's your take on our picture. And like your AFC take saying, this was a win. The Super Bowl this year. Also liking nickname for male mailman. That's pretty cool if that's a great nickname door. Thank you. Thank you may be overlooking South Carolina. They got a return quarterback. They got a good offensive line running backs are good. I think with a new scheme, they got the RPO offense to be running this year. The probably be George, the second game. So I'm looking at South Carolina. Maybe being the final four this year will will will not. Now I love South Carolina. I think they're the second best team in the east in the SEC Melba playoff who fully. That's a. That's a leap who knows. Deebo Samuel was a special player and if they keep him out there with Edwards, you've got some weapons for Bentley. The offensive line should be adequate Bailey's, a great player, and I wonder about the defense that will they be good enough is enough superstar talent on that side of the ball. Other some good players. They have that one elite player. I don't see any cloudy, types players like that that you know you think about to swear and you're all the different. Stars that they had, but they're a good football team to say they're going to be. We're talking about final four. Now the best four teams, our football, that's a stretch. That's that's a big, big stretch. By the way. I'm glad Lee likes the nickname I have for you, Mel man. I've got other nicknames from l. to, I've just not used them on the air. A lot of people do. Guard mcshane's got a few as well. Dr he'd bellow is presented by progressive insurance guest joins us show Pennzoil performance line..

"Because you heard him on the radio and they're on Twitter. They are official on Twitter of like an urban Meyer. Apology official are Super Bowl picks. Mel kiper patriots over saints. Myself chargers over saints. I think this is broken. I keep hearing giggling. We'll be hearing more about throat every radio rule in their slam slamming my hand on the microphone. Okay. Mel kinds as something with in that commercial break is of all your goofy laughter. I spent seven hundred dollars on charger year. Okay. I'm going to be the only charger fan in North Carolina. All right. Well, that's the NFL time. Now for our college, we're not done after this segment. We're going to twelve thirty by the way just so you know, and we're going to give you our college football playoff picks. Now it's all on the record. We're going to hang these over each other's heads all year, and you're going to hanging over RS too. So there we go college football playoff picks. Let's give the four teams that you think are gonna make it. I know you wanna give yours. You want me to give mine. How do you want to do this? Audible is as well because I'm I, I'm gonna go, I'll go, go, go yours and I'll go mine. Okay. So as most of the country. And Chris finally, the bare earlier said the same thing. I can't get away from Alabama and Clemson, I'm not gonna spend a lot of time on them. I'll just say that Clinton Defense in particular their front four is scary. They play in a league that is not great. They are by far the best team in the ACC and the only way they don't make the playoff is if they lose to conference games that they simply shouldn't lose. So Clemson, good, Alabama. Same thing. SEC is a good league, but I don't see Alabama, not winning the west and not winning the conference title. I believe at the end of the year, it will be too as the starting quarterback, although I'm starting to lean towards Jalen getting the starting job early Jalen hurts, but it doesn't matter, Alabama and Clemson, I'm going to have in now. Who is the team that I said, I was really, really high on. I always there's always a team. I think every year mail that I just I pick and I ride because something about them, I just like, and I like him a lot. You remember who that was? No, it was Sparty. There's a lot of talk in the big ten about Penn State in about Michigan in about Ohio State. And I think Michigan state is just sitting there with a world of experience on both sides of the football, a defense that was one of the top in the conference last year and has almost everybody back with an offense, a quarterback and Brian worke a running game that I fully fully trust a head coach that helped turn a team that was three wins into a ten win team. Last year. I'm riding Michigan state, so I've got Alabama Clemson in Michigan state in the playoff. Now, who else? The big twelve is down Oklahoma, I think wins the league. I don't think they're a playoff team. I don't trust the Pac twelve. I think Washington gets in trouble loses to Auburn next week in Atlanta. Stanford's gotta deal with USC with Notre Dame Washington's gotta deal with stay for the..

"He has pin radio, ESPN app. That's one of the songs I can't not move. When good ole Anthony Keates gets rolling with your red hot chili peppers. You're ready to make some picks Mel, some hold your feet to the flame. Bring it back, use it against you or use it against me as Mike. When when he walked in today, said to you, NFL fans of Mike, just tell everybody what you said to those of you that will be listening to our NFL predictions. Well, was it, this is one of my favorite days of the year. This is where teams get eliminated from the NFL playoffs because Dari says they're good. So this is not want to hear me, say your team's name on these picks. We're doing our a. f. c. playoff teams right now, let's go one by one through the division winners Mel. You fired up. I with your AFC east because one's easy champion. Well, at buffalo. John. The guy? No, Nope. Buffalo New England's the obvious Miami. Will they be well ten and he'll stay healthy down. Darnold is going to be the guy with the jets, Josh out. I hope isn't the guy right away with buffalo. We know they can't protect the quarterback. So that would be a disaster. If it was New England, this is a division where unless you think Miami with Tanna hill can make that quantum leap and solve a lot of issues you, there's no other way to go into patriots or not. Without question marks and flaws. Sorry, this offensive line. He was sacked Brady was thirty five times cooks and amendola move on elements, comeback Tober defensively last year thing about their defense. They need to improve last season, run defense, third down defense. It's perfect in New England by any stretch. It isn't, but the rest of the division has so many questions all over them. I agree New England winds, the AFC east. We won't spend any more time on that. How about the AFC north? I'll start on this one. It is a two team race and last week on ravens today mail, you tried to convince me that Baltimore should be the. Top team in ravens today. I am not going there. I'm going Pittsburgh. I told you though I had more trouble with Baltimore than any other team trying to figure out if I want him in the playoff, hey, maybe I'll throw them in the wild cards, but we'll see or one of the wild card spots. Pittsburgh to me has questions to they all do. But I'm gonna go with the Steelers still being the top dog in the north. Okay. I'm gonna go with Baltimore this division because I'm in obviously ravens land. The peasant living here. Joe flacco is the key, and this offense line will protect them. I don't care about last year through last year out which you, you know, playing a preseason, you're coming back surgery and have all the injuries around them if they did. That's enough right there defensively Martindale new coordinator as got talent on that side. They're healthier now you won't Jimmy Smith early with suspension, but they obviously fortified the cornerback spot over the last couple of years. I just think in this division which I you, you surprise when we said, I think Cincinnati's in this, do you really? I do, and I'll go. I think the Bengals will be right in there. I think the Browns, I said this that they have to dress out the Browns will win eight games. So the Browns step up to eight wins the Bengals step up the nine wins Baltimore and Pittsburgh battle it out all year. The Bengals don't sleep on them, but I'll go the Baltimore, Ravens win the division. All right. So you go Baltimore in the AFC north, I'm taking Pittsburgh to the south Mel. Who's your team. This is a tough one because we talked about Jacksonville with Blake Bortles and what happens there with the quarter. I'm not prepared yet to say that Houston is going to be the fine winner, but I'm gonna pick them here and I, this is this is real. The Cohen. I'm gonna go with Houston, Texas. I just have a lot of confidence in the show on Watson when he's out there. Can I stay healthy? He's had multiple injuries during his college and NFL career. We've talked about what happened to Clemson and weapon now, but he's on the ultimate winner, weapons around him. Dory. I'll go Houston. Okay. I like Houston as well..

"Also our hero and our zero of the week in fifteen minutes. That'll be mel's first hero and zero in about three months as he is back from vacation. Mel, you still there. Okay. God. I heard this every hour on the hour. All right. Let's go to our fourth power, five converts preview. What is it. Thank you. Are good friend. Dan Hawkins giving us the big twelve and we fire it up with. Most pleasant surprise. Team Mel jump on this one. Here you go. Most pleasant surprise in the big twelve for me will in its. I don't know if it's even a surprise. I'm gonna go, Texas. We know they have talent. We know they have Tom, Herman, we know it's a winnable league. I'm calling him a surprise because I think they could certainly win Lee still working on figuring out the quarterback position, but it seems to be a position of strength. I think more than weakness, the offense should be good. The defense should be good. You know, it's just a matter of does year two hundred, Tom, Herman, is that the difference maker does something clicked. They went all the games are supposed to remember. Last year they got thumped by Maryland the it just was what a bad way to start things up. I'm gonna go Texas as my surprise in the big twelve, although I don't really know how big of a surprise that is. Okay. What you got. I'm going with a team that lost the liberty one game because that was one of the eleven as I look at Baylor can do Charley brewer at some impressive moments late last year. He's bigger stronger. He's got mims back. I'm going over breakout. Your Platt average twenty five won a catch and they had the knee injury. Verse respect that pre injury form dangerous tandem. There you think about the defense of improvements they could make you gotta get better. They had twenty three Saxton. Last year was ninety seventy ninth a country. They do a better job there. Talk about Matt rule as a head coach with, I think enough talent in play story to go from one win to five or six wins. I'll say the Baylor bears the most improved team. The most surprising team in the big twelve that would be great for him. You know, he took a job when a lot of people say Matt rule when he was at temple could have got a lot of other places, and he took a job that he walked into so far behind the eight ball. It wouldn't even fair. It'd be great Siham turn that around. I kinda hope you're right about that. I get a running game the running game and the offensive line or better on the offense that I think the quarterback and the skill players at wide receiver can get, allow them score some points. I think they definitely win more than one game at the minimum Dory, three or four. I like pick it's off the board, but it's it's really strong next up. Most disappointing team got here. This is a tough one. Dory. I'm gonna go Oklahoma state the fourth highest scoring offense and the country which forty five points game, but you lost a lot big time quarterback big time wide receiver, and James Washington, having a spectacular preseason with the Pittsburgh Steelers Justice hill, great player. No question about that. But you lost Marcel. Eight is well who's gonna be in the NFL. You lost three stars when a lot, even though the the line will be pretty good at still concern. Think about getting off to a good start. You five, their first six games are home load Roane a road game against Kansas, but for their last six games on the road to home games or against Texas in West Virginia. That'll be tough. I think the good wreck. Dari. I just don't see them getting the where they were last year in the schedules favorable, but I think they they, they start fast. They finish on a down. Note, I'll Oklahoma state or overall for the entire season. So I think they will prove to be disappointing. I, I agree and I don't want anybody out there that knows where I went to school to tell me I'm picking against the pokes because I went to Oklahoma last season. I picked them to win the big twelve. So nobody can tell me that they lose their star quarterback and start receiver that's big..

"It was just a tough one. I really it was a hard the team that would be disappointing, but I'll go north west 'cause I don't see them getting ten win Mark. Conference champion who you got, who's your big, ten champion mille big, ten champion right now is Wisconsin out and kill. You know what the hell you're talking about. Heard that up. I think Wisconsin horn out hornbook if he can just give them kind of what NAT liner did with USC, and I'm not saying he's going to be as good as Matt liner. He's not that great finish USC, but the weapons around with Jonathan Taylor net lawn at line is the best. We have always great defensive lines. I like to see over and Clemson against that Wisconsin line is that Wisconsin line is NFL caliber. Okay. And you had the quarterback who I think will be improved? The terms of arm strength just seems a little more shut the really balance thing out which there was going to catch passes at backfield eight like he did last year. I like their defense. I think wiscon-, Wilco, Shing. Jim Lennon is second years coordinator. I'll go Wisconsin to win the big ten over Ohio State. I like that pick. Every year Mel, I think there's a college football team that I for some reason that's a little bit off the radar a little bit. Then I completely fall in love with in recent years. It's been Stanford. It's been Oklahoma state. I could get killed for this. If they fall short, I am big on Michigan state. Adia flake in mind. Thanks, Phyllis. I am big on sporty. I, I love this team. I love their quarterback. Brian. La- working could be the best in the big ten LJ Scott almost two thousand yards year ago. He's back the entire offensive line might minus their center is back top three receivers back, ten, offensive starters. All defense last season allowed fewer than three hundred yards a game. Nine of those starters are back. They loaded. I have all the respect in the world from ahrq Antonio. I, I know they traveled a Penn State this year. They traveled in Brassica. They got Michigan, Ohio state at home. I am huge on Michigan state this year. Not just in this league. I'm huge on them in the in the in all of in the country. Frankly, I'm gonna go Sparty as my big ten champion this season conference champion the Penn State Nittany lions. Thanks. Danzi had that would figured he had that one. Thanks, Dan, Braschi eight. It I know you don't like is we don't have Penn State in there, but you go, Wisconsin. I'll go Michigan state, big ten champ conference player of the year. I'm at my player of the year is is going to he's part of your conference. Champ in it's Jonathan Taylor, Wisconsin, tailback. He's obviously a superstar. It was two thousand yard back virtually last year, just twenty three yard shy. His team's gonna win the west. I firmly believe that they will continue to lean on the run game the entire offense of line. As back, Alex Hornibrook at quarterback is back. It's scary to think about what Jonathan Taylor's numbers could be. He'll be in New York on Heisman night..
