"One by one getting up my sleeve. This is WCPT 820, where facts matter. All night long I dream of the day I dream of the day I dream It's Stephanie the Moon Show. This is my fight song. Take back my life Prove that I'm already tall. And I don't really care if Nobody else believes. Cause I've still got The name. This is one of the most fundamental questions that could ever Be decided under our constitution and it will be decided By the Supreme Court of the United States sooner rather than later and most Likely before the first primaries in which Donald Trump Would be put on the ballot or disqualified from the ballot by one of those secretaries of state. Judge Luddock. Down Okay. goes Enrique Terrio. You were correct, Chris. They decided his sentence With a dance -off with Denny Terrio. And that's how they came up with 22 years. That is fair. I think so. Yes. He was junior, 22 years. Jeff Tiedrich says congratulations to Enrique Terrio, the most recent graduate of university of around and find out. Stand back and stand by for 22 years in prison, bro. Yep. Enjoy. Yeah, that's the longest sentence so far, right? He's the last of the five. Right. Proud boy. Who's the one that, oh, Joe Biggs was the one that's whining about the food already. Right. Okay. It's going to be a long, what does he get? Nearly 20 years. Yeah. I'm just saying if you you could, have, if you know, whatever door dash grub hub, you probably can get a Hitler burger delivered. I don't know what the prison rules are Probably not. No. Did you not watch orange is the new black? A little bit. I go now to just to the Lizzie scenes to Okay. What? Neither of us said anything. Maybe I'm hearing things. Oh, can I just say I have a new, I have to add someone to my future wife club. That same lady with the sign trolled Peter Navarro. She's fantastic. Yeah. He lost a yet another legal battle with a sign and a whistle. I can watch that clip like forever. It's the same skinny white lady. I was begging for money and she's like changing signs. Trump lost prison boys, whatever. he And then starts asking for money and she's like, yeah, quick impression. She's like, and then he keeps winning less. gave I think up he on trying to grab the sign because she's, she's up. She's like, nope, nope. Nope. Nope. Yeah. Nope. Nope. That's my impression. Okay. All right, Chris. Okay. Who said, uh, at 77 for the first time in his life, Trump may suffer real consequences for his actions in the short run. This will stoke deeper divisions and heightened animosities in the longterm. This is the safest course for democracy to take. Demi Theria. Yeah, that was a good guess, but no, this Lawrence tribe from the New Yorker. Does he see a burning man, other MSNBC. Charlie Kirk are one of the gummy right wingers. Is that the gummy right winger I'm thinking of said something. What is that? When you think about it, they're all just like clacky comedy teeth. We wait too much like gums Ron Westmally, Charlie Kirk, Eric Trump, a lot of gums. Very gummy. Very. Okay. Almost as gummy as Meg Ryan. Stop. Okay. No, it's mostly Republicans. What's her name out here? Meg Whitman. A lot of forehead, a lot of gums. Just saying. I mean, I'm not saying. That was a lot show of an IMAX film. Yeah, you could. I saw an IMAX film on Meg Whitten's forehead. I did. Uh huh. Yeah. And it's a long film. So she has some good neck strength. Yeah. Okay. Uh, yeah. Anyway, he said something about the Biden regimes, you know, sentencing Denny do that Denny J. Scammer Davis Jr. Biden. Uh, he, uh, Mehdi Hassan tweeted Biden, Biden regime, LOL. The judge who sentenced Tario is Timothy Kelly, a Trump pointy counsel former to Chuck Grassley and a member of the Federalist Society. This is what we've come to. Right. Oh, what's, oh, let's see what's going on. Should I raw dog the, what's going on in the bassinet? I guess so. Let's see what she was happening. Okay. He's been deleted and Okay. Do we need to stipulate? None of this is true. All evidence and findings And he says the recently ended committee of Trump persecution and hatred. This is a highly illegal act to among other protect crazy Nancy Pelosi for her grossly incompetent or intentional actions regarding her weak and adequate response to security measures taken at the Capitol for which she was responsible. This Nancy Pelosi asked for the national guard. She was denied. Was it how many times? 11 T billion times, which is as long as all charge of the National Guard. You are. Okay. Oh, let's continue. Shall Is to reach Jack Smith, the prosecutor's continuously overturned duty was unchecked and insane question and investigating the political hacks and thugs of the highly partisan January 6th, one select committee for temporary with deleting, destroying highly classified confidential documents, pictures, tapes, evidence, all of the forms of important information is now why I believe fully believe is because the evidence in question destroys his fake election interfering case. Dismiss back to the beginning of that constantly overturned. He's not constantly overturned. I don't think I have to stipulate every time we go to the bassinet that everything baby says is untrue. But Jack has Smith like famously has a 90 % success rate. There was a motion that Trump filed and that was upheld yesterday. Oh, this is the all caps. Now we're in caps lock just for the rest of the day. Whatever you need to do, wear a sweat or something. I don't know what you do when he goes to caps lock, but something. Take an umbrella. Yeah. Oh, by the way, did you see the plane? Oh, I did not click through. I did not need to see it. I to. had I had to. It was the footage. They panned the whole aisle. Oh my God. The entire paper towel soaking up brown. This is on Twitter yesterday. it's So like, oh, of course this was covered first by the Stephanie Miller show. Of course it was. That was the first thing that we covered. Like the entire segment. I knew it would make you happy. Sorry. Speaking of full diapers. Yeah. Enjoy your political opponent. The newest tool in democracy, some corruption. Oh God. Oh, look at this. My desk is clear. feels Now the bassinet. Wow. That was only three. Yeah. Three poops. And maybe those were weeks. That's fantastic. He left them down the aisle of a plane. Speaking of Poop. Um, thank goodness for our friend Alison Gill, who is calling on this poll because I, you know, this is like clockwork. I get it. The networks always need a horse race. This is how we got here. They want clicks. And so everybody panics, right? Like, Oh my God, they're tied. Trump and Biden or to, or to, and I'm not saying we should like Bob says, cause as we shouldn't get happy, I think we should remain terrified with poll diaper until 2024. But, um, she just said, uh, can we stop using this wall street journal quote unquote poll please.

"What he wants to be is Vladimir Putin. He wants to be America's Putin and stay there. And then he's got an entire Republican Party apparatus, an infrastructure, entire a machine working behind him to set this up to make sure that the infrastructure is in place so that when he does seize the White House, then he'll be to able more easily manage this full takeover of the United States government, flushing out anyone who's undesirable, prosecuting, perhaps black bagging his enemies in the process. The worst things we can imagine Donald Trump would do in that position again, I think those are reasonable things to be concerned about. And by the way, just as an end note, I started watching Hal Sparks' show again. I couldn't be, I was doing the Star Trek podcast for a while and I was distracted by that. I couldn't watch Hal Sparks' streaming show. Once I started doing that again, a little bit of hope and optimism started to reemerge in my charcoal -sized heart right now. And it's good because you know you are what happens when you feed Hal Sparks after midnight and get him wet, as many people commented. Yeah, in fact, I was on his show on Monday and for some reason we ended up going down this road where, remember those old Jerry Lewis specials, those prime -time specials where he would have other old -time comedians on and they would end on stage complimenting each other. You're so funny, you're the funniest thing in the world. No, you're funnier. That was basically me and Hal for an hour on Monday. Here's what's great about your show, Hal. Oh yeah, Bob, that's great. Here's what's great about your show, Bob. We just had Hal yesterday and we were also polite amongst us. After you, no, you're funnier. That's exactly it. You go ahead. So, Bob. uh, After you, oh no, you first. Thank you. So, by the way, speaking of, at least you didn't say I heard this on the teletype. So you, that's, it's fine if you want to say, uh, the AP reports or whatever your old timey news guy thing is. Oh, speaking of news guys, how is Buzz doing? He's in Jacksonville, isn't he? Yeah, he's in, uh, where in Tampa? Yeah, yeah. He's in the Tampa area and, uh, he's amazing in these situations where there's a hurricane bearing down On where he lives. He's like Batman. He's like Batman of hurricane preparedness or as we were referring to it as a, On the on show the yesterday. It's not a hurricane. It's a water dump. Donald Trump changed the nomenclature for that's water dump Delia coming to Florida, but Buzz has a whole system. You know, those, you know, when, uh, Batman in 89 where Batman press that button and that sort of armor appears around the Batmobile. Choo, true choo, truth, he's got buzz has that on his house and I'm not making that up. He's got like these metal panels that he engages and they form around his house in the tablet. Choo, choo, choo, choo, barricaded in. He's sending me updates on a regular basis as to, you know, making sure that he helps himself out or lock himself in for that matter. Sending Steph had love and light to encircle him. And by the way, one more thought about the speed of the media. Chunk, chunk, chunk, chunk, chunk. speed of the media. Speed of the media and big deals. Let's help they cover this. Mehdi Hassan tweets, Medicare now will negotiate prices on 10 drugs, bringing down prices and saving 100 billion. It's a huge defeat for big pharma. Biden has done something President Clinton, Obama and Trump all said they would do but failed to do. you There go, right? This is, as someone would say, a BFD, right? Right. Yeah. And if you look at the latest polling, Democrats are going, Oh, he's so old and feeble. Well, you know what, when I see crap like that, I want to say, okay, where's your show me in his record

"Cable news is going to die. Cable news will be fine. It'll be a different audience, a little smaller, but it's not going anywhere. But I think the point I'm trying to make is the importance of cable news. We don't need them anymore. It's nice to have them. I worked there at Fox. I enjoyed my time there. But we don't need them anymore. In this election cycle moving forward, if we win, there's going to be voices out there that are now unchanged from any corporate boards or anything like that who are out there doing their own thing. You don't have to like their content, but it's a free world and a lot of people do. It's going to be interesting moving forward how the new Republican Party adapts to all this, where it's not really what happens on Fox so much, it matters, or other any cable news station, but what happens among 5 or 10 or 20 conservative broadcasters who 20 million people or so are listening to every day. You're going to get a lot of different opinions. All right, I wanted to play this. Hold Donald Trump, hold a former president accountable for his alleged criming. And the fact that they're the ones doing killing Trump. You see why? Again, you have to understand what you're dealing with. Jim's like laughing back there because to hear the glee in his voice, you understand to them that on one hand, they want to tell you this is about justice and no man is above the law, but all you have to do with the left is legitimately just listen to them talk. You, you hear the glee in his voice that a man may be put in prison for doing nothing more than rising his political, constitutional, God given rights to speak out about an election. You hear the glee in his voice, folks, this is who these people are. This is who are. You know, there was a woman who ran into Mehdi Hassan recently in the streets. Jim was there as a witness and she really erupted, you know, sounded kind of like that lady on that plane thing. I mean, she ran into the, she, the gym was there. Jim Cruz has everywhere. And it was really weird. Mehdi Hassan was walking down the street and, you know, because he's so crazy with all this stuff and it's just like our happened. interaction Jim, did you catch that? You did. You had reporters out on the scene, didn't you? And yeah, it's just really strange. You happen to find that and kind they of caught you off guard. You weren't, oh, yeah. Jim was there. He's got reporters on the scene. It sounded a a little, little, a little, a little bit like this back there is not real. Wait, wait, Jim, what did this, Mehdi, I know this was a little uncomfortable to you. I wonder if he called the cops and did this again, just one more time. That motherfucker back there is not real. Man, that's so, so Mehdi, I'm sorry that happened to you, but this is, people are just mad. You know, they, it's so weird. All right. Here's what I got. I liked that clip way too much, way too much. That's going to be up there soon with Roger Scare, the legend with the FAFO video. Here's a guy coming up that he may, yeah, he may, it's a good possibility he'll make an appearance today. Folks, there's been another break in the Biden case. We find out now Joe Biden didn't only have one alias, the kid -sniffing, woman -feeling, bride taking rotting bag of oatmeal in the White House, that Joe Biden may have had three aliases. I'm going to give you my American criminal investigations about why someone might be using an alias in, quote, business police. And if you're looking for some sophisticated answer, you're like, well, Dan, probably because he was doing fraud. Yes, you've already figured it out, you don't even need to wait for the tease. But you know.

"Of which. Um, did she introduced articles of impeachment again for somebody yesterday? A two people yesterday. This is a two person. Oh, she threatened to impeach two a more per political foes as you do. The United States attorney for D.C. at where Trump was lasting, I guess. I don't know. Oh, no, it's because he's prosecuting the genius. Oh, right. He's those criminals. Right. And then also FBI director Chris ray. Oh, U.S. attorney Matt graves. That's. Okay. When green got to graves yesterday on the testimony, she accused him of declining to prosecute most of the cases of post office presided over the last year. Instead, you're solely focused on prosecuting January 6 cases from one single day in our history. Right, one single day where there was a lot of crime point. One single unprecedented day in our history. Who? Yes. Green did not ask grave any questions using the rest of her time to rail against him with more accusations of neglecting crime to persecute capitol rioters. The crux of this was in green insinuated the graves drove one of the capitol rioters to suicide. So that was, I guess, his fault because the guy is a criminal. Who was. Arrested for being a criminal, and then okay, so and this is what they are, why she's just an Internet troll, Carlos, she doesn't use any of her time. First of all, every time she does get questions, she gets got you, 'cause she's such an idiot. And she doesn't do prepare or have any facts. So now she just uses it to, you know, for sound bites, right? For Fox. She doesn't let them. She's not there to actually get any truth or get any answers. She's just performing. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And again, it prevents them from talking about gun control, climate, voter suppression, LGBTQ rights, women's rights. All this circus is a distraction for them, so they don't have to talk about that. Or face their record on how they're voting on that. Right. Gen Z 8 playing. This headline Biden to cut Asia trip short to return and negotiate death ceiling. Again, he's doing an accomplishing stuff for America on this trip that is important. But of course, he has to come back to babysit these economic terrorists. They just, it is so exhausting that they just are rooting against America. They want default. They want anything that's bad. They want the border to be chaos so that they can say, look, there's chaos at the border, right? They couldn't wait for title 42 to end this. Biden's been working on that for months, so there was no chaos at the border. So now they have to pivot to something else. McCarthy criticizing the number of terrorists, the Biden administration has caught trying to come across the borders. Like, that's a good thing, dude. Right. Yeah, I don't know. I don't think that means what you think it means. Yeah. I don't get it. Every time they say how much fentanyl seized, I'm like, thank you, President Biden. Thank you. Yeah, you know, people had terrorist watch lists and seeds. All right. They're doing a job, dude. Right. Yeah, but how many times did the Democrats vote to raise the debt selling for Trump? Was it three plus? Yeah. Or? Yeah. Yeah. They think it's a big joke now, right? Yep. Trump and the town hall, you know, she said, well, you said this much to never happen. When you were president, he's like, the most stupid crowd. Oh my God. I can't even. Did you watch any of the clown hall No, I couldn't. I didn't want to break my television set. Yeah. I know that Mehdi Hassan might have been a better moderator than who you think who he had. You're a nasty lady. You're very nasty. Nasty woman again. So TikTok was trying to show the soft side of Trump with some town hall that he had with all his fans with this woman stood up and said, Donald Trump, I just want to let you know, you know, I'm a former Miss America, and he's like, well, I

"You can feel it, folks. He just body bagged them last night. He just body bagged them. And you can always detect the level of damage. Donald Trump has done to the left. By watching the response in the leftist hysterics, I'm going to give you a little trick. If the left ignores something Donald Trump did, it usually means that it was inconsequential for them and probably bad for Trump. I'll give you an example. Again, we're talking turkey today. If you don't want to hear it, you don't want good and bad. I understand. This show is not for you, but this is going to be a hardcore show about real talking turkey, kick them in the balls politics. If that's not for you, I understand. There are other shows that do other things. Think about, I'll give you a perfect example of this. Think about Trump's announcement for president. Lefties didn't even cover it. Remember it just happened? Was it like four months ago, Mike, do you add again? I lose track of time. I'm sorry. Remember is that Mar-a-Lago? Did the left guy wasn't even on the cable news show? They just totally ignored it. I think Fox was the only one that took it live. They ignored it. They did a little blip on it the next day. He announced great. Nobody cared. Why nobody care? Because again, let's just talk turkey, man. Let's cut the bull stuff. The announcement was okay, but it was lackluster. It wasn't Trump, like Trump last night. It wasn't. It was a good speech. It wasn't a terrible speech. There was some good policy stuff, but it wasn't classic vintage Trump. It just wasn't. And so the media people ignored it. Oh man, they didn't ignore last night. Holy Moses, the freaking meltdown on the left is like nothing I've ever seen before. Here, Chiron right now on Fox. Liberals rage at disgusting CNN Trump town hall. Disgusting. AOC losing her mind, Mehdi Hassan from MSNBC, CNN insiders losing their minds. Folks, he body bag them last night, absolutely body bag them. They had no idea what was coming, and I got to tell you to the head of CNN, that Chris licked. Who put Caitlyn Collins up there against Trump. I don't know Caitlyn Collins used to be an entertainment reporter at the daily caller, was never known for her hard hitting journalism. What the, were you thinking yesterday, putting her up against Trump? I mean, who made that call? I have not seen a mismatch like that since spanx Tyson where speaks didn't even want to come out of the locker room. Who's call was that? You just ruined this young lady's career. She will forever be the woman who got body bag by Donald Trump. And if that's it, she's now defined forever. What the hell were you guys thinking? This is our rising star. Not so much anymore. That's so much on that. All right, I'm super way over. I got to take a break. I got a bunch of cuts from this. The liberal response loaded show, don't go anywhere. We'll be right back. Doctor gorka here. And I want to talk to you for a minute about the 100% drug free relief factor. We all deal with aches and pains in our day to today lives, and I have had my fair share, including injuries like a detached quad muscle that I can tell you fell into the category of really bad pain. But I've been able to manage the pain by taking relief factor. It helps your own body to attack and fight off sources of inflammation, the source of most of our eggs and pains, and I've loved it for years now. Almost 70% of them more than half a million people who have tried relief factor end up ordering more. That's because it works for them the way it worked for me, isn't it time for

"Broadcasting them from the underground command post. Deep in the bowels of a hidden bunker somewhere under the brick and steel of a non disparate building. We have once again made contact with our leader Mark. Love then. Hello, America. Mark Levin here are number 877-381-3811. 877-381-3811 look. I want to thank the retired marine 24 years old. When the New York subway system, who stepped in to protect the other passengers on that train, obviously had no intention of killing the individual who had a very long record, including punching an old woman in the face and other assaults and batteries. But he was threatening people. He was claiming that he was going to harm some people. And I have no reason to believe that that marine wanted to kill. The individuals, in fact, what happened after when they realized he was out as they tried to resuscitate him. So it's obviously the case that he didn't intend to. Now I'm watching these people protest in the subway, blocking the subway system, preventing people from getting out of the subway. And I'm noticing that 90% of them are white. And I'm noticing that 80% of the 90% are very young. College age you might say, newly minted marxists. And what are they protesting exactly? What are they protesting? So you have a good Samaritan who steps forward. Could have gone the other way for all we know. Maybe something would have happened to him. But if we had enough cops, and if we had politicians who backed them up, maybe a good Samaritan wouldn't have had to come forward. But I want to thank him for coming forward. I want to thank him for intervening. Obviously what happened at the end was a tragedy. And I just hope he's not charged because New York is a cesspool of left wing idiocy and sanity. And I'm talking about the prosecutors and the investigators. ilk. I also want to thank a security guard. In San Francisco, who chased off a shoplifter, the shoplifter comes back, bashes him in the head with a bottle. This security guard is a big dude. Throws him to the ground, an apprehends him. And now he's being charged. He's been charged. And he's now under attack. He's under attack. So once again, the radical left in this country has created mobs of lunatics. Absolute lunatics, who are protesting against, they're not protesting against the system. They're protesting against you. Whatever you're racist, whatever your faith is, whatever your background is. Whatever your legal status is, their protesting against you. Because all this marauding that's taking place, it's against you. Hence the system, it affects individuals. And these fools have taken over the city streets and neighborhoods. They've taken over schools, they've taken over other places and so forth. Yet this guy, I don't know much about him, but you have this guy. In a mall and Allen, Texas, as I understand it, he's outside, he waits for people to come and start picking them off. He kills 8 people. Energy is a whole bunch more. It's horrendous. And there's Joe Biden and his whack a doodles on TV gone on about gun control. Ten people were murdered, I believe it was ten. In Chicago, and I believe it was Chicago over the weekend. These people say not a word about it. Mehdi Hassan. If that is his name, on MSNBC, up against me on Fox. Gets crushed. He even gets crushed by CNN. It's the fall of the NRA and Fox. That this occurs. The moron Roland Martin. When I was a kid, Roland Martin, I think it was Roland Martin or somebody like that. He was a comedian on laughing, but nonetheless, this guy's an unintentional comedian. And he's got a daily digital show. That doesn't sound good, does it, mister Medusa, daily digital show? What does that mean a daily digital show? Anyway, that's Martin. Let's listen to what this genius has to say. Cut 11 go. The only way to change any of this is to completely wipe out the Republican Party. Somebody has to say it. Greg Abbott, the governor is sick and demented. He is literally done nothing. And you're an ass and a fat slob. Demented. Now I think I know what they mean by daily digital show them. Wipe out the Republican Party. Now language like that is okay. Wipe out the Republican Party. Some in that case may hear what he says. And if Republicans are killed, Roland Martin is going to be tending ever said it. But Cheney never said. But Roland Martin, did he talk about what happened in our cities over the weekend? Not a word. And he won't. Because he's a coward. Go ahead. Governor Dan Patrick, the leadership Republican leadership in the state. They literally have done nothing. They have ignored your valdi parents. I was there to Texas capital a few months ago where they were rallying there. They are not going to do anything. But here's also why. Well, they're not going to take people's guns. They're not going to do that. Because it doesn't work, number one, and number two. It's not their right to do it. I don't understand this. It doesn't even make sense. Let's try this, shall we roll? May I call you Rollie Rollie poli Martin? If you have a criminal mind, or you have an E one mind, or if you're sick. And I think they likely found out a lot more about those efforts today. It was a long time he was in there. Know that many of the advisers of the then president knew that what they were suggesting was false, they had no evidence that there had been any widespread corruption that the election was legitimate. How much of that was discussed with between Pence and Trump, you know, there were meetings that Pence was in that we didn't have complete information about. We're just gonna do that voice all week. "Time for church. For purgery by top Democrat, over Twitter files testimony. So he gets one of these alphabet soup agencies confused with another. And so Stacy plasket, if that is her name, the ranking member on the House judiciary select committee, subcommittee on the weaponization of the federal government, sent a letter to taibi regarding a comment he told lawmakers, which she alleged included an error that was previously propped up by MSNBC host, Mehdi Hassan, Mehdi Hassan, I believe is on at 8 p.m. on Sunday. Isn't he mister producer? And I kick his ass. Kick his ass no ratings. The air was a specific reference to CIS a government cybersecurity and infrastructure security agency when he meant to refer to CIS, the center for Internet security. Now, you can see he correct the error later in his reporting. But she wants to throw him in prison. Plastic does. And she claims he committed perjury under 18 USC 1621. She claims he made a false statement under 18 USC 1001. I've had to explain this before. About false statements and perjury, they not only have to be material. They have to be intentional. They have to be purposeful. That's what the statute says. So I don't know if this thug has a law degree or not, but that's the rule. Tybee didn't lie under oath about anything. And now we have Democrats in the House, threatening him. And we have many over there. What's his name? Medi Eddie Mary. I don't know what the hell his name is. What is it? Mehdi mathan. Mahan, Hasan, all right. Mehdi Hassan. Excuse me. Pushing the perjury in the false statement crap. Fox News sought a comment. Neither taibbi nor place gets off as immediately responded, but taibi was on TV. Discussing it. But this is where we are now, folks. And of course, the media that circled the wagon for CNN. And that big mouth over there was disrupting the president Trump's press conferences. They say nothing about this. Not a word. Why is that? We were non voting more on, from the Virgin Islands. I can remember it was a very vicious, assault on taibi by her, trying to shut him down. A so called journalist, remember she called him that? And she insisted that he reveal his sources for his Twitter files reporting. This is a person that does not respect freedom of the press, the First Amendment. Is perfectly happy, with Twitter under the old ownership, monitoring many of you monitoring people with whom they disagree. And of course, putting the scarlet letter on them. So we're going to keep an eye on plaskett. Because she appears to be a very terminal cancer in the body politic of this country. When she's calling for the imprisonment of a journalist, because he confused one agency with the other. With CIS and even though he corrected it shortly thereafter. I'll be right back. Months

By the way, is that a tactic that nurses frequently use, they go and blow in people's ears? Is that a thing? I feel like that's not a thing. Maybe they don't learn that nursing school because that's crazy. She would make a human connection by blowing in my Wong chica. Salad stuff there from the president of the United States, just wow, he's good at this. Meanwhile, I have to say, I am amazed by the number of commentators who are actively upset about the fact that the lab leak theory appears to be true. And the FBI has now suggested that the lab leak theory that the COVID-19 virus started in a Wuhan lab and then was accidentally leaked out and then the Chinese government covered it up. And why is that even political? It seems like it shouldn't be. The only reason for it to be political is for people like Anthony Fauci, who supports gain of function research in Wuhan. But other than if your name isn't Anthony Fauci, or Francis Collins, I don't really see why per se, you'd be invested in this. But the answer is because the wrong people believe the lab leak theory. There's a fascinating exchange yesterday between Nate silver and medi Hasan. Mehdi Hassan is the political hack over at MSNBC who used to work for Al Jazeera. And he tweeted out yesterday. The simple reason why so many people want keen to discuss the lab leak theory is because it was originally conflated by the right with Chinese bioweapon conspiracies. And continues to be conflated by the right with anti Fauci conspiracies. Blame the conspiracy theorists. And Nate silver, correctly tweeted back, this is so refreshingly honest. The bad people thought the lab leak might be true. Therefore, as journalists we couldn't be expected to actually evaluate the evidence for it. That's exactly right. And that's really what this is about. Too many people on the right, including senator Tom cotton, thought that the lab leak theory might be true. And therefore, it was verboten. And even now, they can't like all of it. So Stephen Colbert, former comedian. He went on his late night show, and he attacked the Department of Energy for operating outside their lane. Based on their report, which is amazing because the Department of Energy overseas, like a couple dozen labs that do exactly this kind of work. So they're actually not outside their lane. I love the comedian who is well outside his lane, talking about how others should not be outside their lanes. It's amusing. The Department of Energy released a new report saying a lab leak is the most likely origin of the COVID-19 pandemic. Well, there it is. Chinese wet markets you're off the hook.

Well, that's what I was going to ask you because the last time I had John, we were saying, you know, if Merrick Garland does not do anything by the end of this year, is it time for him to step down and I believe you said yeah. I don't remember if you asked me that or if I answered that question, I will say if Merrick Garland doesn't show some signs of criminally investigating Donald Trump with a view toward indicting him for the many, many, many crimes he committed. Then I think we're going to need to turn to an attorney general who will. Yeah, because right now, how do you stand with Merrick Garland? I mean, you know, I know, I know we don't know what he's doing behind the scenes, but right now he's been in there. How long now? 9 months? Yeah. I have a hard time conceiving of living in a country where the Department of Justice headed up by good people give our democracy away to a criminal president or a criminal former president. I have a hard time conceiving of that happening. So I still expect he will be indicted. I expect he'll be indicted in Georgia. I expect he'll be indicted in New York. I was talking with Mehdi Hassan on his show last night. I would like to see us follow Brazil's lead for goodness sake. Brazil's trying to hold its president criminally accountable for avoidable COVID deaths. And Bolsonaro, the Brazilian president was merely sort of negligent or reckless. Donald Trump was worse than negligent and reckless. Donald Trump intentionally lied to the American people, we now know because he was telling Bob Woodward the truth about how deadly it was. How it was so much more aggressive than even the aggressive strains of flu. How easily it was spread, and then he walked to the cameras and lied to all of us. And, you know, there's this one cardinal sin. When he started mocking reporter Jeff mason, who's a heck of a reporter. During a White House press conference, saying take off the mask. Take off the mask. Jeff mason said, mister president, I'm not going to take off, oh, I guess that's because you want to be politically correct. John, do you know how that must have permeated Donald Trump's base the people who for whatever reason are fooled by him and act based on what he says? How many of them do you think said, I'm not wearing a mask? Did you see the way Donald Trump mocked that reporter and said the only reason you wear masks is to be politically correct? Donald Trump ran us all into the path of an oncoming deadly pandemic. And he should be held criminally accountable for that, just like they're trying to do to the president of Brazil. Yeah, I mean, and it's like, you know, it's getting to be really, really scary. I mean, look, just like the science says behind you, justice matters. "The disconnect between what are often overly rosy are optimistic statements from senior pentagon leadership about say the training of afghan security forces. I the reality experienced by people on the ground or the reality in state. Department cables essence. I think there's an interesting discussion. Is the washington post. Did a big series on this. They called the afghanistan papers was clearly an effort to compare it to the pentagon papers. I think mullins point here gets added distinction. That's we're talking about in which there is. There is a difference between the pentagon papers disclosing secret bombing of laos never reported on or or whatever in. Us generals offering overly positive statements. Both are bad. Both are damaging both needed and fix. Yeah but the mullins point like sometimes those overly optimistic statements come from this military culture that views every job is achievable and their job is to salute and say yes and get it done and and be optimistic. But that can mean. I guess refusing to acknowledge the reality that there are limits to what they can achieve or the us military can achieve. I just thought it was an interesting I think it was the first of all like that's an astonishingly. Welcome statement by mike mullen. I mean i. It's so rare that you have a former four-star. Go out and say you know what that was wrong like that. Compare that the yeah. That's hugely to his credit And he always was an honorable guy but he was dead set backing up the surge. Forty thousand troops guy but even at that time he was backing up the trace and mcchrystal were originally mall and he saw his job as chairman. Backing them up so this leads to the second part where he said because i here's what i think i think he meant and i think he's exactly right. It's not that they're 'cause this is the problem outside with like jim. Shudo tweeted something though. Cnn there was like you know. I've seen the us military begin. New forced to do far too many missions that you know civilians inflicted on them and again the the awkward reality of the obama years on the afghanistan policies. We didn't you know the military came to obama into nine. Was like you have to give us. Forty thousand troops That was an obama Seeking an escalation in that way. But i understand the mindset and this leads me to like i think what mom was getting at first thing is if the military has any responsibility. They've responsibility if you're stan mcchrystal and your sent afganistan is the new commanding general to his nine. And you're like i've been given this mission to stabilize afghanistan and and defeat kaieda. Well shit. I want more resources. And who wouldn't like what what military i was on mehdi hassan's show recently. He kinda tossed me softball. Like isn't the military to blame for some this as well of course they want more resources yet. So it's hard to hold that against them. Because if i'm a general and i have an enemy i'm gonna say send more troops so i can do more to defeat that enemy and so i think that the mindset of the military is just like they they they want to believe they can achieve the mission in front of them and part of what. Mom's getting his mcchrystal. Could've come back and said you know. What actually i don't think we can defeat this enemy with a reasonable amount of resources Instead of the mindset kicking and of no i can get this done. Just give me enough to try to get it done right then. I think the second thing that happened in afghanistan ula to is that 'cause i've read afghan papers and and i i said this to you and i've gone back and forth on this i we we did relay rosy assessments of the afghan national security forces. I had no reason to not believe that those were true. You know that when when you get the dod you know guidance it suggests that there's three hundred thousand eight hundred thousand troops now. Why does the military of the they want to. They're deeply invested in in in what they're doing and i so i do remember the only way in which we might have known that wasn't true. Read deserves usually descent and often. The descent was by the way from the intelligence community right without getting into it. But like this is why. I don't think the intelligence failure arguments are true. Because the biggest skeptic of the war in afghanistan least. When i was there was always the intelligence community. Saying it's not as good as the military says it is and they have these kind of fights about how well things were going or how badly things were going. And i think that you know some of this is just human nature if you are if you're fighting and your friends are dying and and you're doing tour after tour of duty and places like afghanstan you want it to be succeeding you know and and and you want to believe the best version of what you're working on right that's of human nature right and and to me that suggests it. I don't think the problem here is with us. Military it's with tremors of giving our military or any military regime change nation building efforts right. What does that ever work. The military you ask them to go boost up you ask them to go into pakistan kill osama bin laden. They can do that because that's what military does but like you ask them to build a government in afghanistan. Why would they be able to. Great stan mcchrystal Admiral mollen brock. Obama could not solve the problem of the corruption that has created when the united states spends eighty billion dollars in a country or the problem of these safe haven in pakistan or release. The military could not be asked to solve the problem of a afghan government that was perceived as corrupt and the entire government was never able to solve the problem that everyone identified but could address of the taliban having a safe haven in pakistan. Yeah and and you know there was an interesting moment between portrays an obama on this where it was a height of the surge and portrays his explaining hide brought in these kind of anthropologists to think about canada har- and power dynamics there and tribal relations and is about as smart as a person could try to be in the challenge of governance kantar. But and i think portrays thought that obama would kind of connect with that cower them yet but obama kind of had the opposite reaction of like. Why what are we doing. You know like we can't sit in washington and diagnose the block by block politics of can hardly know like it's this is not what we're supposed to be doing this is not you know you could have the smartest generals in the world and in the idea of the united states being able to design a local government and cantu har- it would make any. We can't figure a block by block politics in miami. We can't we've got we've got. How can a country that has january six run afghanistan like we just we not like so so to me like that's where we have to get back to. This debate always has to return all the way back to like. Should we be engage in these kinds of military efforts in the first place or not pasi. The world's brought you by the new york times. The new york times is committed to seeking the truth.

"I told you that Mehdi Hasan, who's a weekend host on MSNBC. Mm. He does these one minute, Rance at the end of his show, and he did one on how the media needs to rethink its coverage of Afghanistan. Listen to this. It's time now For what I call the 62nd round start the clock. One of the most annoying aspects about covering the Biden withdrawal from Afghanistan is that the American public support the withdrawal and those of us who oppose this catastrophic war have been tragically vindicated. And yet you wouldn't know any of that from the debate we're having right now. Newspaper Op ed pages. Our TV screens are filled with people who got it wrong. Still trying to get to the rest of us about what should happen now in Afghanistan. There are the journalist people in my industry never covered Afghanistan never talked about it helped make it the forgotten war all these years now expressing outrage over the ending of it. The top U. S generals and intelligence officials who falsely told his year after year that we were turning the Corner in Afghanistan that we were winning the war against the Taliban and building an amazing Afghan army in a Democratic government even now, still insisting we stay just a bit longer. The Bush administration officials who got us into this mess in the first place, the Trump Administration officials who signed the damn deal in Doha with the Taliban, both trying to blame it all on Joe Biden. There's the carping and complaining from politicians on both sides, Democrat and Republican who spent years sending other people's kids to fight and down. What they knew was an unwinnable and unpopular war. So forgive me when I say Keep your views on the end of this water yourself personally, I would like a period of silence from all of you, but for right, and if you do feel the need to Comment on the disaster. That is Afghanistan. How about starting with the word sorry. Well, said Mehdi Hasan Well said, it is so easy to get people to go on the air and criticize what's going on and sometimes People mistake that for good journalism. But there's a bigger picture here that I'm so glad Mehdi Hassan pointed out. People weren't ready more than ready to get out of Afghanistan. Now, you know, there's a lot of talk, and I think you heard at The Associated Press at the top of the hour. About how there was some dissension within the Democratic Party, particularly in the House of Representatives. You know, the Senate passed Biden's infrastructure bill, and there are a lot of Democrats in the House of Representatives who want to get that signed and get that out. They want to pass it to get it to Joe Biden's desk. Nancy Pelosi is brilliant. She thinks long term she's strategic There is another bill that President Biden wants. That would, um bring about some progressive reforms, things that have to do with with child care payments and things like that. Nancy Pelosi knows everybody wants this infrastructure bill. So she is saying Well, um, I will call the infrastructure bill for a vote in the house. After we've passed this other bill that has these, um all these progressive reforms and programmes. But unfortunately there is a group of about nine moderate to conservative Democrats who are saying, you know, know, know that they're not going to vote on anything. They're not going to consider anything like that. Until the infrastructure bill is passed. So there's a little bit of a kerfuffle. Well, it isn't just the Democrats or having a little bit of a kerfuffle right now. The Republican Party doesn't seem to quite know what to do. With Joe Biden's withdrawal from Afghanistan. They want to figure out a way to hang it around his neck negatively. But as many pointed out, it's very popular. It's this is something that the American people support. No, we don't want to see terrible things happen to women in Afghanistan. No, we don't want to see the rise of Al Qaeda again. We've been there for 20 years. And we're just treading water. And what is the point? So the Republicans are now having a little bit of a discussion amongst themselves. Of course, um, the super Trumpers, the Marjorie Taylor greens. The Jim Jordans are all Oh, my God. President Biden. Oh, he's doing a terrible job. He's done a terrible thing. He's doing it in a terrible way is a terrible person. That some might me paraphrasing. But there are some real questions. Chris Wallace, who is Yes, he's on Fox Cable. But he is more of his father's kind of journalist. Then he is any kind of Peter Doocy kind of journalist. Is not trying to bait anybody. He's trying to get to the truth. Chris Wallace sat down with Republican Senator Ben Sasse. To discuss with him about the refugee issue was not necessarily talking about refugees from all over the world, but refugees from Afghanistan. Because, you know, as I'm sure you've seen One of the more popular stances in the Republican Party right now is Oh, don't let those Afghans in, you know, don't let those Afghans into this country. We don't want them. So Chris Wallace was asking. Actually, Chris Wallace quoted what a couple other Republican legislators said and then ask Ben Sasse what he thought about the whole situation. It was a really fascinating exchange. Share it with you now. I want to drill down on this question of Afghan refugees because there's quite a split inside your party about bringing our Afghan allies the people who stood up for us for the last 20 years, bringing them into this country. GOP Congressman Tom Tiffany says the Biden administration's plan to bring planeloads into the U. S now and ask questions later. Is reckless and irresponsible. Ohio Republican Senate candidate J. D. Vance, author of Hillbilly Elegy, says he'd like to hear zero about Afghan refugees until we get every single American out first Senator There's a real difference of.

"Manchin. Is jim crow himself. Actually it's bigger than that Okay so before. I move onto gonna play the sound bite. This is Media sonn who. You've probably never heard of. Apparently fifty thousand people watch him on a sunday night on msnbc More people will listen to me on a sunday when i'm not even working just by their interactions with clips of this tv show or this radio program. The cliffs we put up on his will actually listen to midi hassan But he's on msnbc so apparently he has some note. Listen to this. But why should federal action be bipartisan. While republican action at a state level is totally. It makes no sense which means the gop's waging asymmetric warfare our democracy with mansions permission and even encouragement the west virginia senate to seems to think that his party should be able to get the seven senate. Republicans voted to convict trump on board for the full of the people act. Seven is not ten even if democrats could get mansions seven. Republican towels to vote for. It would still not be enough to get past his own. Beloved sixty vote filibuster threshold. Maybe as i've said before on this show mansions just not very bright. Maybe simple math is beyond. Maybe he doesn't understand what's happening at a state level that maybe the most charitable explanation or maybe joe mansion knows better than mehdi hassan. Who is He is of indian descent and british as you can tell by his voice. He became a naturalized citizen in time devoted the twenty twenty election. He worked for a al-qaeda's favourite tv network aljazeera for sometime This is fascinating that msnbc would put a guy like that on msnbc to lecture americans about american politics. Let me break this down for everyone objectively so joe mansion is the democrats heat shield in the united states. Senate what do i mean by that maggie. Hassan won her senate seat in new hampshire with fourteen hundredths of a percent of the vote. And she's up for reelection next year. She gets fourteen hundredth of a percent of the scrutiny of kristen cinema and the filibuster and everything else according to dave cantonese from mcclatchy news maggie. Hassan of new hampshire doesn't want the filibuster to go away angus king of maine. He's an independent who affiliates with the democrats. He doesn't either here. He is talking on cnn. Jake tapper not in general. I'm very reluctant about it but If it comes down to Voting rights and the rights of americans to to go to go to the polls and select their leaders versus the filibuster. All choose democracy. you'll choose democracy over the filibuster says except he knows he doesn't have to have an opportunity. He and other democrats in the senate can say these sorts of things because joe manchin protects them he shields them from media scrutiny. Think of all the number of times. Joe manchin has been asked about the filibuster since he signed an op. Ed in the washington post the washington post said he wasn't in favor of getting rid of it and they asked him about it chronically and constantly now he comes out with an op-ed in his own West virginia newspaper the charleston west virginia newspaper and he says something. The democrats are livid about point. Something out this is from joe mansions op ed over the weekend are the very republican senators. Who voted to impeach trump because of actions that led to an attack on our democracy unwilling to support actions to strengthen our democracy. Are these same senators. Who many and my party applauded for their courage. Now threats to the very democracy we seek to protect. That's joe mansion putting out the democratic rhetoric on there for the people. I doesn't match the reality but if you're a democrat and you consume your news from the new york times and msnbc and increasingly from cnn you don't actually know about the rest of the world out there you don't understand that this law is a big deal for most people accept progressive activists. You don't understand that. Most people are okay with the filibuster. You don't understand that. Most democratic senators actually want to preserve the filibuster because otherwise every vote would be a pressure point for them and many of them are way more moderate than the democratic base. that's just the reality. The democratic progressive base have moved so far to the left. Donald trump is closer to the mainstream and to bring that full circle. That's exactly why the democratic congressional campaign committee has chosen to reject james carville advice on making everything about donald trump and january six. It plays well with partisans in the press who are of the left. It plays well with partisan progressives. It doesn't play well with everybody else. If you're inside a partisan progressive bubble you think everybody hates donald trump when he came within forty three thousand votes of winning reelection. if you're within the partisan progressive you'd think democracy is about to be undone unless this law passes because that's what the democrats say it's left wing. Cunanan joe manchin just killed the for the people act. Is democracy dead or not. Today is democracy dead or not today if you're progressive and you believe the democratic bubble you would believe that yes. Democracy is dead today. The problem is it's not and you don't realize it because of the bubble you're in the rest of us we live in this bubble called reality. You should join us there. Durban the senator. The number two senator in the senate right now Schumer's number two the whip his spokes girl jenna. Vowel restauran- has deleted this tweet and locked her account. All online saying is. I don't think our founding fathers anticipated the survival of this democratic experiment to rest in the hands of a man who lives in a houseboat. For those of you aren't familiar. Joe mansion in washington does have an apartment. He stayed in the houseboat. actually yes. The founders did intend that the founders intended that the united states congress would be Part time yeah. How badly have democrats play this. This this is part of the problem that everybody needs to understand and again. This is objectively so here. This partisan talking boyd for me. This isn't trying to be partisan y'all really need to understand this particularly if you're a democrat. How badly the democrats have bungled this right after the election. Kamla harris went to charleston. West virginia did a series of television interviews. That joe manchin found deeply insulting. She didn't really understand the people west. Virginia she misstated data about west virginia and she appeared to be putting pressure on joe mansion to bow to the democrats agenda particularly the green new deal which joe mansion as opposed to impart remember. Joe manchin won his race for the united states senate by literally shooting. Epa regulations joe manchin or. Was it obamacare. Wh one of them. No i think it was the epa regulations. Joe manchin Shot the Climate deal the democrats structured with a gun to show how much she hated their green. You deal efforts. And he got elected and he has maintained that position chauffeur kotla harris to go to charleston west virginia and try to bully him into supporting the democratic agenda. Did not go over well and then last week on a stage remember joe manchin behind the scenes has been working to actually try to get a deal done on voting rights. The john lewis voting rights. Act which is separate from the for the people act. He's actually behind the scenes. Been working trying to get a deal. Done he's actually behind the scenes. Been working on environmental regulations. He's actually behind the scenes. Been working on the infrastructure deal and last week on a stage in tulsa oklahoma. Joe biden attacked joe. Manchin didn't use his name but everybody knew he was talking about joe manchin who he said sides more with republicans than with him also. Kristen cinema attacked her. We you keep attacking joe mansion as a democrat publicly. He's not gonna wanna work with you. The republicans are saying nice things about mansion. The democrats are not and by the way if joe mansion to flip and become a republican suddenly mitch. Mcconnell.

"And it's and it's like i i wouldn't look at any jewish community in europe and say okay. You're fine. It's not like the the european jewish communities are sometimes less hated by the populace ride only because they're not muslim right. And so i. I i i agree with you generally. It's it's because of populism because of globalization because of social media because a lot of different things economic and technological dislocation when there's disruption cultural civilizational disruption when there's high levels of anxiety when there's high levels of populism jews don't do well in a global wealth centralism jus de well kind of liberal centrist democratic environments and steadiness just when political stability. I think point about jews and muslims is ups Absolutely right and that's why. I like it when jews and muslims to make common cause and there are moments where the happens in britain and europe. you know. The israel complicates that job. I think a lot of communities outside do get that. If they're going for one they'll pretty be pretty soon be gang right and the people who hate muslims generally don't like juice day just say might hate muslims a little more than they hate us at the moment but razor brial issues. You know you mentioned jonathan. You mentioned israel and i remember this conversation that you had Two thousand fourteen You're sitting with mehdi hassan. You said you know. The british jewish community is exceptionally aligned in bound up with israel but they're not accountable responsible for anything that these israel government is doing. You example of someone who. I think wrote free gaza on a synagogue on a synagogue wall and i remember listening to them and kind of thinking to myself. You know israelis. It's not that we don't we. Don't keep that in the center of our thinking. It's not that we don't care. We care very much about antisemitism we care about it when it happens in the us we care about it. What happens in europe..

The Breakdown with Shaun King
The highs & lows of last nights presidential debate
"So I watched all of the Democratic debate last night and I thought it was a mess. I did an interview Last night with my friend Mehdi Hassan. Who's an amazing journals? I think one of the best journalists in the world and he has a podcast called deconstructed and I did an interview after the debate with Medi on on the debate and So I felt like I needed to watch from start to finish and so We just got a TV for the first time in our living room and so everybody in my family had to watch the debate with me and they were all begging me to change the channel all night long because it was it was a mess. It was mainly people talking over top of each other. I thought all of the moderators were horrible. They allowed it regularly to get completely out of control. It was hard to even know what the rules are. The policies were in any kind of way of the debate because people were regularly just yelling out attorney speaking over each other. I mean maybe at least a dozen times to different people on a stage would just be talking at the same time and you couldn't understand what either one of them were saying not for one second like for five or ten seconds It was a mess and I'm bothered that. It was a mess because it really needed to be a more substantive debate. It was the last debate not only before South Carolina votes this weekend but before over a dozen different states vote on Super Tuesday this coming week and and so people all over the country needed to to see a substantive sincere debate and by and large you know I tried to track on social media. What all the other campaigns were saying like no campaign was happy that he was just messy for everybody and you know it just it. It begs the question. Like what do the people moderate the debates like? What PREP DO THEY DO? How skilled are they to to even to do this? You know just a random collection of of journalists are just kind of popped up there to ask questions Not a single question and I saw a lot of my friends who were fuming mad about this. Not a single question was asked about climate change not a single question was asked about immigration and immigration crisis. I saw people friends of mine. Who were genuinely generally heard about this instead? You know random questions were asked about Mike. Bloomberg banning large soft drinks in the city of New York is like I don't think the country cares about that and I don't think you ask about that you know over so many other issues like in my interview with Medi- Medicine. He was frustrated. That Bloomberg was never asked any questions about the horrible mistreatment and surveillance that he oversaw of Muslims in New York after nine eleven was deeply bigoted and xenophobic and problematic. So many of my personal friends were regularly harassed by the NYPD ultimately sometimes even by the FBI and CIA and others really at the behest of Michael Bloomberg when he was mayor instead. He's asked about Trans Fats and Lard soft drinks and nobody's asked about climate change or immigration and so just a poorly moderated debate and may as you all know I'm a supporter and surrogate of Bernie Sanders but I ultimately thought that the debate being so poorly moderated ultimately benefits the front runner him and Bernie's the front runner now and because nobody was even really able or capable to emerge out of that debate Like as a star in any kind of way Like Elizabeth Warren nailed the previous debate. And it didn't really give her campaign a boost in the polls anywhere Or or at least not in in Nevada or in South Carolina but she performed well and she fundraise off of it but in this debate nobody performed well and when nobody performs well ultimately that benefits the front runner and because Bernie's the front really benefited him
