Creon kept his promise and the couple was welcomed into the city but it was a precarious arrangement to crayon. Having jason the hero of the golden fleece in his kingdom was a point of pride media however was a strange foreigner. Pitied and feared in equal measure. Crayon only accepted her into his city because he knew jason would not make his home there without his pregnant wife. Jason india were at crayons mercy and the uncertainty of their situation strained on the couple. Nevertheless they built a life together in their new city and over the following years. Medina gave birth to two sons memories and farris. She tried her best to be the respectable greek wife and mother. Jason wanted her to be but try as she might. Madisha simply could not fit in. I'm coming memories. Leave that poor ram alone. Oh and there. What a lovely surprise. Hello media. I've come to pick up my son of course fairies memories. It's time for luca to go back home. It might be a minute. Would you like to come in. Oh no that's all right. i'll just wait come in. I've got wine fix. I'm sure they'll be done soon. I suppose i can come inside for a moment. I've always wondered what the home of a hero looked. Like media ushered anthea in the house beaming. Even if jason's fame was the only reason the woman had come medea hardly cared. She'd been in corinth for years but they rarely ever had visitors even surrounded by her family. She was lonely here you are. I just got this from the market this morning. what do you think. A look of panic flashed across anthony. S face she. I'd the goblet of wine. Warily sniffed it then took a tiny sip delicious wonderful. I'll be right back with the fix. As medina was turning back to the kitchen she saw him. They discreetly spit her wine back into the cup. Her heart sank a little clearly. Anthea believed the rumors that she was a barbarian which the sort of sorceress who just might poison a neighbor's glass of wine when she returned with the tray of figs and grapes. The three little boys raced by chasing the family ram and knocked the food from medina's hands shattered on the floor sending fruit and shards of pottery everywhere of course frustrating. But can't you just you know. Fix it with magic. Only such things were possible. I wouldn't mind cleaning up after the rugrats. Half as much and ceo rolled her eyes and went to retrieve her son. Medina watched as she pulled the young boy toward the door but before she left the neighbor turn to her. Can i give you some advice. Perhaps you're not fooling anyone media so stop trying. You don't belong here and you never will with that. Anthea tugged her son. Out of the house and left madior stood among the mess. Her face hot with shame she hated how much anthony as words stung but most of all she hated how vulnerable she had made herself medea aside and looked at the mess at her feet. Then with a sweep of her hand the scattered fruit and shards of pottery reassembled. Medea took it back to the kitchen when a strange cat hopped onto the window sale. Hello there haven't seen here before. She gave the catta scratch. And the felines sat down staring at medina with familiar. Golden eyes madisha side stroking its fur. Seems like you're my only friend here. At least you won't insult me..

"Media stood on the deck of the argo. Her robes pulled tight around her shoulders. Her dark hair whipping in the winds of the open sea they were setting sail yet again for a new home and for the second time medina was going into exile. But this time she wasn't alone medieval looked at the stern of the argo. There stood jason. The famed hero. His gaze cast in the direction of i. Al qaeda's she went to stand beside him taking his hand in hers. But jason's is stayed fixed on the dark water. I'm sorry my laugh. I know how it feels to lose the only home i've ever know like a part of you has been ripped away. We must be each other's home from now on wonderful together. An exile no media. You don't understand lost more than just a home. I've lost a kingdom all because of you. What what are you saying. It was your idea to kill my uncle with your magic. If we hadn't. I could have had a chance at the throne instead outcast on this godforsaken sea jason. I did all of that for you. I've given up everything my home. My family my own birthright so that you could be a king. Yes yes you're right. I'm sorry i know that listen to me. We need each other more than ever before. We may not have a country but we have a future to take care of a family. Medea pleased her hand on her rounding stomach and looked up at jason. Do you understand. Yes but haven't told you. We do have a home news of my voyage and exploits of and turns out. The king of corinth is quite impressed. Is this king creon. He has a reputation as a tyrant tyrant or no. He's offered to welcome us into corinth as honored guests. We just left your uncle and his mad successor behind is it wise to trade one despot for another. We don't really have a choice. Why not we are surrounded by kingdoms. We can voyage anywhere since murdering king police. We aren't exactly welcome in many places. You see india. People are afraid of you. What do you mean afraid of me. We both planned police's murder. Perhaps but your reputation has spread. The greeks thank. You are barbarian. Which deals and black magic. We'll have to convince the people of corinth that isn't the case. What do you mean you must blend in. We have to make you into a proper greek woman. You promised me you wouldn't ask me. To change corinth is our last hope. Madisha in this will be the last thing i ever ask of you.

"A costas. Just who i wanted to see. Hello cousin. eager to be tortured. Are you what libby the rack. The wheel crucifixion. I wouldn't mind flagging your pretty little. If i have some news i feel may be of interest to you. Your father will be having his youth restored to him soon via an enchantment. Just think you'll have many more years ruling ioka's decades even perhaps a and not live you from. What are you talking about. What is this chant man. You speak of my wife. Medea is a very talented sorceress. She's offered to make police young again in exchange for our freedom. But you know spells and enchantment of this kind are often unpredictable they can easily go awry perhaps even kill someone. I see what you want well. It's rather messy business cutting someone into pieces and given your unique talents. I thought you might like to do the honest in exchange you let my wife and i leave i al kassam piece lie. Should i trust you. Because i want him dead more than i want. The crowned that night one of jason's men snuck into the dungeon. When he left he had a message from the hero that the argonauts quietly spread throughout the city jason the rightful king of i al was about to ascend the throne. As soon as police was dead he wanted as much support behind him as possible. The next morning media presented her enchantment to king. Police in the center of the throne room stood an alter a cold coldren and an assortment of herbs just as medina requested king. Pelaez smiled smugly. As she and jason entered to his right was prince a cast us looking just as pleased draped across police is thrown was the golden fleece. Today's the day. I've hardly been able to sleep thinking about the things i'll do with my new youth. The kingdom's i'll conquer the maidens outbid now my little dark guide which let me see what you're capable of happily however it seems. I still need a ram and a dagger of course. Our shepherd selected the perfect candidate. Police clapped his hands and a shepherd lead in the most decrepit frail old ram medina had ever seen it sniffed and looked up at her with ancient glassy eyes. Medina's suddenly realized that the poor creature was blind and the dagger. I need a dagger brought one of my own. It's from my personal collection with smile. A cast his handed medea a curved very sharp looking dagger she studied. Its blade for a moment then stepped toward the goat. She stroked its ears lovingly then placed a firm but careful grip on its neck. Sorry friend you'll thank me later. She slid the animal's throat with a quick clean motion. It led out a gasping bleat and collapsed spraying blood across the white marble floor. Madisha watched the goat until it stopped quivering. Then she got to work carving its body to pieces. Jason grimaced and king police flinch. Does medea sliced away blood splattering across her face. A cast as grinned when the ram had been adequately dismembered media took the bloodied flesh and dropped them into the cauldron followed by the herbs. She made a show of chanting nonsense for dramatic effect. Heke here my truth if i be a worthy which restore this rams youth. The cauldron burst into green fire. Jason jumped back and king police then from the flames leaped out a young ram it clattered to the floor in a flurry of emerald colored embers as the flame went out police a casas and even jason stood staring at medina mouths agape she picked the rams fresh white coat and police began to clap. That was remarkable. I've never seen such magic four. Mortal men does the enchantment require all the slaughter. I'm afraid so to reinvigorate the body must first be broken down but as you can see. It's quite effective father. If you don't trust jason or his barbarian wife. I'm happy to oversee the ritual. In fact i will the knife myself as you know. I'm deft with a blade. A casta smiled king. Police's is from his son to jason. Then to medea a- i suppose every king must make certain sacrifices wonderful the. Let's get started shelly. Medina police secured the doors. Medina did as he said then handed the still bloody dagger to a castex. The prince loomed over police on his throne a deranged glint in his eye. Wait wait why do we need to lock the doors. You needn't worry about that father. No wholesale this is going to be particularly painful A cast is plunged the blade into police chest and the jason pulled her away from the brutal scene. Medina looked on with twisted fascination as a casta stabbed his father again and again and again when he was finished. Everyone a cast is medea. Jason and even the ram was drenched in the king's blood. Well what's done is done. I guess we'd better before jason could say another word. A cast just dropped the dagger to the floor and wailed wailed in terror. Guards guards help. The king is dead. Medina and jason frozen confusion when the palace guards stormed the secured doors and flooded into the throne room spot. Burien which of coke has murdered my father. You snake madisha. We have to go now. The newlyweds only managed a few steps before the guards seized them and drag them back to a smiling cast us. Did you not think i'd find out about your plan. My spies informed me that there was word spreading through the city. The great hero jason was about to reclaim the the.

"Midia watched her husband. Jason pace the prison cell like a madman. After a treacherous voyage across the globe he had finally brought the golden fleece back to his uncle king pelaez but instead of stepping down as promised police had thrown the newlyweds in his dungeon to jason. It was an utter disaster. Little did he know. His sorace wife had a plan per sleeve. What an utter fool. I was here. I thought i'd prince into i l cas with the fleece and pelaez would kiss my hand at crown me. King squandered my birthright my destiny the only subjects saw rule or kingdom of rats. Jason flung a rock and a group of rats. In the corner medea frowned. She realized she'd never seen jason angry and she didn't like which saw but before she could say a word. There was a wrapping at their cell door. A tall dark haired figure with sickly pale skin was grinning at them. Through the bars it was king palaces. Son prince castelli's jason cousin. I thought i heard your miserable boys. Echoing down the corridor. How long's it been one year. Three twenty three. If we're speaking of when your father slaughtered my family. Yes welcome home though. I suspect he didn't anticipate returning to i- alka says a prisoner. No as you're aware. I plan on returning as king ambitious considering the state of things. Pity you'll never sit on the throne. I guess that makes two of us a cast. His eyes narrowed. Jason had hit on a particularly sore spot. Though a cast is was next in line for the crown it was known throughout i. Al cast. that police didn't believe he was fit to rule a cast. This was a depraved man. Who delighted in torturing. His prisoners and police looked down on his sons cruel amusements. A casta spotted medea standing at the back of the cell and grinned whom. I this be jason. I hadn't heard you had a woman with you in such an enchanting one at that won't you introduced me. That won't be necessary. My name is media. I'm jason's wife a pleasure media. I look forward to torturing you both now if you'll excuse me. I have prisoners to flay vile snake. I should have never brought us here. You're being hard on yourself. I have a solution. You really believe police will give us our freedom. Making him young again will only ensure he lives long enough to keep us locked away. I have no intention of giving that man his youth back. Then why did you. What are you going to do with the rams and the dagger wouldn't you like to know medina. what's wrong. did i do something to upset you. Why didn't you tell police that. I helped you get the fleece i. I don't know. I just got caught up in the story. You're lying what is it. Do you want all the glory for yourself. Of course not. Then what is it. I was protecting you. From what from the greeks. They do not kind to outsiders medina especially ones from the other end of the black sea. You heard police. They think you're people are barbarians and witches and you tell me now after you bring me here to be their queen i i know i have said something long before but they will come to love you. It just takes time. People are afraid of what they don't understand and fear to make us do horrible things. I didn't want you to be hurt if i could help it. Are you ashamed me. I could never be ashamed of you. But i must admit it. I am a little afraid of you. You better find your courage because soon you'll be outnumbered. Jason looked at her confused. Medina's simply placed his hand on her stomach. I i'm going to be a father and king now. Let me tell you what i'm going to do with that ram. I'm going to use it as a demonstration. A slaughter the animal front of police cut it into pieces than boil it. you why. i'm not finished eventually. A lamb will emerge from the pot and police will see with his own. Is that i'm capable of restoring youth. Then he'll do the same to him only once. We cut police to pieces. We won't be providing him. You clever little bump burien. Watch your tongue hero. They're still one thing. I haven't figured out. I don't think that you're greeks will exactly be clamoring to put a murderer on the throne after police is dead so we need.

Medieval listened as jason recounted his epic to the king. He told him about the amazon women of a reti s and the harpies in th race. But as jason told police of his arrival to caucus medina was surprised to hear that her husband's story had changed. This version did not include her kinky. Et's didn't think. I could yolks fire-breathing oxen or the fetus ruthless sparty. But i did. I dodge the bee's flames and outwitted the warriors and et's refused to give up the fleece. I simply got it myself. Medea looked at her husband shocked and a little hurt. She had never expected glory for what she did. But she didn't expect he'd erase her involvement. Either medine looked to see police. His reaction the king raised as skeptical eyebrow. You just got it yourself well. Yes you're telling me you walked into. Aries grove tiptoed past. The sleepless serpent grabbed the golden fleece and walked out. Yes well no you see. I gave the serpent's. I'm sleeping herbs. Pray tell when did you become well versed in alchemy. That is my wife madeira. I was not speaking to you. What is your name girl. I am media. Wife of jason princess of caucus the plot thickens it. Seems no mere coincidence. Jason that you defeated all of king eighties tasks and married his daughter. No doubt this woman helped you in some way. And if i'm not mistaken. Magic runs in the female line. I have to say jason. Your accomplishments are far less impressive. Knowing you've aided by barbarian which for burien you murder your own people by the thousands and i am barbarian. Madeira enough medina looked at jason. Her eyes hewer fire but he ignored her turning to police. Regardless of my methods. I have delivered the fleas to you. I have kept my promise now. Police it's time to keep yours step down from the throne. Oh jason your naievety is comical as it is refreshing. I have no intention of giving you my throne. I never did. You made a promise police yes and let this be a lesson to you that a king is not obligated to maintain his promises. I may be an old man. But i'll be sitting on this throne until i die and even then you might find it difficult to rule from a dungeon guards. God's police's soldiers seized medea and jason. Medina's mind raced. She had to do something she didn't leave caucus to spend her days in a cell she thought of the child she was carrying then she had an idea rebirth police. What if there's a way for you to rule for generations. I can help you fascinating. And why would you do that in exchange for freedom. I am a barbarian. Which as you say. I know of a way to make you young again. I'm listening. I know in ancient ritual sacred to my people which can restore youth to the elderly. Changing the colors of the fish swimming below she wondered how many of them were servcies victims mortal men and women now doomed to swim in the same water for the rest of their days. If she stayed on the island she be just the same trapped with a lazy flick of her wrist. She turned to ruby colored into a bird. Medio watched it fly away and side. I hope that wasn't one of my men. I know this is a pain. But he can't row an or with wings. Now kenny mendieta turned to see jason standing at the edge of the clearing grinning. Here i thought. I could hide from the great jason of the argo wanna fool. I am on the other side of the world. there is nowhere. I won't go for love though this jungle certainly tested my limits. I just spent the last hour. Being chased by a pair of squawking helped me find the silent uniquely unsettling. No offense none taken sir. She doesn't have many regular visitors. For reason. I don't think she likes me very much. Don't take it personally. She isn't very fond of mortal men or well any men so have gathered. I'm grateful she's deigned to give us penance before we marry. That's the greatest wedding gift we could have asked for but you still seem troubled. What else did she tell you. Oh nothing just a vision. She had wasn't of you. And i sitting on thrones alka with a bunch of little rascals running around our feet no not exactly. Oh it was bad wasn't it. What did she tell you that will be exiles and don't belong with you and that you would change me and i will hurt you and some terrible horrible way. When medea looked at jason. She instantly regretted her words. He sat there looking at her in shock then he burst out laughing. Medina it's so obvious you said it yourself. Your aunt hates me. She hates all content up this false permission to keep us from being together. She would never lie to me about her visions. I know she was telling the truth. What did she say you were going to do to me. Then turn into an animal. I always thought i'd make an excellent lion. I've already got the golden mane. And i am quite vero. I think you'd agree. This is serious. Jason and no. It was something much worse than that. Oh more lowly creature than some kind of rodent or insect. That's an out what i meant. Whatever it is. I'll endure it. Even if you transform me into a fly. I would be content so long as i could busni. Your beautiful ears. Don't want to hurt you. And i don't want to change either. You are my queen mahdia. There is perhaps no figuring greco roman myths more complicated than media foreign princess from far off land a sorceress of mysterious power and divine blood arguably one of the most dangerous women of the greek pantheon. The granddaughter of the sun god he leo's and niece of sursee stories of medina appear as early as the eighth century. Bc e notable scholars poets and playwrights from herodotus to have all written about the dark and chance but the best known depiction of dea comes from apple. Loneliest rodeos epic the argon nautica. The argonaut ika recounts the voyage of the hero jason as he sails to the far ends of the world to retrieve the golden fleece there in the exotic country of coal kiss. He meets and falls in love with Dea the daughter of a brutal king. Jason and medea story is a legendary romance. It has magic adventure forbidden love and tragic sacrifice but the sacrifice in this case is one-sided while jason gains glory the golden fleece and a wife madisha gives up everything she knows and cares about four love. And that's just the beginning. It's what happens after they retrieve the golden fleece that defines medina's legacy one of the greatest love stories of greek myth unravels into one of its darkest tragedies and mma dea into one of its most fascinating anti heroes. We begin however with an oft forgotton piece of her story after the fleas but before her romance hours before she was a notorious bad girl of greek legend medina was a young woman far from home madly in love and tragically out of her depth. Sir c sat on a throne of marble at the center of a decaying palace. It's decaying pillars. Were choked with vines as if the jungle was slowly swallowing it whole the roof. Long collapsed opened to a canopy of trees teeming with birds. But though the nature around them was vibrant and joyful it's mistress was anything but sursee stared at medina and the argonauts. Her golden is cold and expectant the panther laying at her bare feet growled. It's been a long time since mortals dead set foot on my island when they do come. It's because they want something oppostion. A prophecy their enemy turned into an oyster. But that's not what you seek from ideas capable of all of this so tell me why have you brought a pack of filthy pirates to my realm. Jason shot his fiancee. A bewildered look before media could reply. He stepped forward to address her aunt. We know pirates. I am jason son of ice and rightful king of ilocos. These are the arguments. Were honored to meet you sir. Medina has said silence. speaking to my niece madiba. What do you have to say for yourself. A pit formed and medina's stomach. She could not attempt to deceive sursee neither what she wants to. She knew she had to explain how she'd betrayed her people. But the words felt like stones in her throat. She felt jason's hand grip hers and she took a trembling breath. I'm afraid i've come sat news my father your brother e. t.'s. And my brother. Obstacles are dead murdered and the kilos. Where are they now standing before you. Their blood is on our hands but most regretfully on mine. I know i saw it in the flames of my offerings. But i wanted to hear you say it. Tears flooded medina's is. She braced herself for her aunt's wrath a torrent of fury and curses perhaps would order her panther to rip them apart or maybe she'd turned medina into some kind of beast. Her favourite punishment medina hope sursee would transform her into a bird she'd always loved swallows but no incantations left her aunt's lips sursee rose from her throne and walked to her. She took medina's face in her cool hands and gazed.

"Midia sat at the stern of the argo. She let her fingers trail in the water of the black sea as the argonauts road softly humming a funeral rite of her people. She spent their entire voyage doing this and would continue until they landed. She was praying for her father and brothers souls as they made their passage to the underworld and as she did. She wept though medina. Had a duty to mourn her kin. she didn't feel it was her right to for their blood was on her hands. She had betrayed her country. The only home she'd ever known and led her father and brother to their deaths. She had done it all for love and a piece of wool. Medea looked at jason. He stood at the bow of the ship with his prized golden fleece the one medina had killed for draped over his shoulders. Close now love. I can see the cliffs via. I know i knew it when the water's turned sarah leeann and the breeze smelled of my aunts priestesses burning offerings. She's expecting us. How do you know. Because she's there media pointed to the distant cliffs and they're standing on the rocky shore justice she said was sursee demi-goddess and chen trysts and medina's favorite aunt for the first time since seeing her brother be torn to pieces and our fathers ship be dragged into the sea. Medi-share smiled sursee. Would know what to do. She always knew what to do her. That would help them. Earn the god's forgiveness and then medina. Jason could finally be married as soon as the argos hall hit. The sand medea elect from the boat and ran into her aunt's arms but servcies body was stiff. Her voice dripped with malice. "The. In the center of caucus in an enchanted garden, the hide of a mystical flying ram hung from the tallest oak guarded by a dragon never slept Jason would have to tread carefully to pry it from King et's clutches and win back his promise thrown. But diplomacy was hardly one of the argonauts strengths Jason would have to navigate this difficult task alone. or so he thought. Leaving most of his bedraggled crew to rest Jason made for the palace with some of his more even tempered men. His first instinct was to simply ask the king for his prized possession, but I was enraged at the heroes presumption. If this outsider wanted his treasure, you would have to prove his worth by facing three perilous tasks. The trials would begin the following day and Jason was dismissed to prepare, but another member of the royal family was also plotting something. Thanks to the encouragement of Jason's guardians on Mount Olympus Madisha Princess of Caucus and priestess of the witch goddess Hegarty had fallen in love with the Challenger. She intended to protect her beloved from her father's tricks at any cost. After a sleepless night Jason Somberly marched to the castle, but was intercepted the princess armed him with strange vials and trinkets in exchange for a promise of eternal devotion as they whispered and planned their victory both hero princess fell deeply under each other's spell. Unaware of his daughters scheming. The king confidently led Jason to face his first task. The hero was brought to a huge field of oxen that lay between him and the fleece, and told that he had to plow the land around the crowds of Oxen, a simple task, or so Jason Thought. But Medina had concocted a fireproof appointment, and so he plowed the flickering fields unscathed. For the second task he was given a box of serpent's teeth to plant into the scorched earth as soon as Jason. Them. Each seeds sprouted into a bloodthirsty warrior, they burst up around him barricading his way forward, but Medina had prepared him for this task as well. Hurling a heavy stone, she had given him into their midst. The fighters turned on themselves as they scrambled for it, letting him slip by the fray. For the third task Jason was finally face to face with the guardian of the fleece dodging sharp claws and singer breath Jason scrambled up the tree and sprinkled sweet-smelling concoction over the Dragon. As the strains of Medina's incantations, reached its years, and the potion settled in its is the dragon sank into a deep sleep. Elated. "Would I fell in love with using my voice to compose and write quite young age age of fourteen and it was for a few reasons like I was actually in a really musically rich environment in terms of early electric Techno grime which has shown that will kind of exploding in London. When I was growing up and it was the ability to instantly Ri- obviously anyone that speaks uses. The voice sings the very established. This idea of singing Medea or doing some light. Percussion just to write. I immediately for the fact that I could not just do some light. Mcconnell sing I could start to internalize music theory. I could start writing beats and white phoned ideas using just my voice. I became absolutely obsessed with the instances. I just didn't have to wait to get to my instruments enough to wait to get to a computer. I just thought it's a composed on right in a way that no other tool or instrumentation really automate and it just continued to grow from there and the goal was to break boundaries and Jonathan had ownership over something new. Did you take lessons? Are you just were self taught you watch videos like? How does somebody even learn how to be box? No it was very strange serendipitous story. It was pretty youtube. Which is crazy. And I seen some like elements of sound making before because it's so important to just like establish people cool so of composition with voice. They can go to be boxing. Sound making and voice our oldest humanity itself. It's not a new thing like to compose and write with. Sounds with your voice has been a a music making for as long as music as existed and it was the experimentation and seeing vocalist Kinda go beyond traditional techniques. I found it so fascinating but in terms of like applying it to Electric Music because I wasn't really a hip hop head. It was more about the experimental of music making. That was something that just happened almost by chance and it came very naturally to me so no lessons no guidance. No help just kind of an obsessive desire to make music instantly and not feel like I have to rely on anyone else. That was the main thing I didn't like feeling like I had to go through my secondary school to access to my drums. And I had to kind of go to friends. Houses to use like Music Quinn and light laptops. Because it's something that I personally didn't have access to myself. And it was the impatience the impulsiveness to always creates or he's made is what made me so focused and I just love story from the very beginning the obsessive nece and the joy it brought me it started with just myself but then people started to react around me in produces tied to kind of say like how you making the sound. How you doing the sound design and people wanting to dance as well and that was one of the key moments to me is. My friends would dance to me boxing. Yet from there it's just continued to grow spiral out of control in quite an exciting way. Yes I love that. I think it's great when people are self taught and you're based on your own creativity and one of the things I know you like to say is that our voices are most precious tool and that we must give the world of voice. What does that mean to you outside of my own musical compositions? I believe there's a lot of communicative thinking and pushing of how we actually connect with each other. That directly connects to our voice. The voice is synonymous with the human condition. It's such a fundamental to- used in our day today again. If we leave music behind there is an issue that many people don't feel like they have a voice. Many people do not feel like that. Is THEY HUNT? And they also feel like the rounds of their expression is established. Like this sort like a glass ceiling on everyone and I really believe that to experiment with the voice to push off always as far as we can is to push the mind as far as we can is to push human condition as far as we kind of is the push consciousness as far as we come. I think that there's a universally accessible expressive nece. That is there but his massively untapped and all of the what I do outside of music on installation lectures working with technology is just the fundamental expiration to trying make people see the voice in the new line and the aim is to not make them saying perform we'll make music is to literally make them express and feel alive and voice can do to express and the Catharsis of expression through the voice. It wakes people up and that goes way beyond arts music. It's it's humanity so it sounds like a huge mission but I sat on a three full years ago to explore the narratives around voice the innovation around voice Beyond music making and it's so insane the benefits you see innovation. You see in new ideas around. The Voice of how universally accessible is something that everybody has they. Don't push it to the Max so I WANNA change global perspective on voice and in doing that hopefully give the world voice make people feel Hud make them express and make them shaft simple idea on a huge scale. Yes we've spoke the first sign a few weeks ago and you said that. I got excited except like off. That is so much of what I personally believe. It's a personal goal that I have and I'm curious how you know you're working to kind of do this. You had done something at a wired magazine event where you had showed you had made some sound and then on an image it kind of created these like sculpture like art pieces which is very cool and you told the story about how a young girl did it and she got so excited to kind of see her voice in a visual perspective and she got louder and excited to kind of share her voice and I was like. Oh I love this story in the important summit so yeah I love free to talk about how. You're kind of working to do this on a larger scale before we get into the technology piece because I do think voices more than just waste technology. It is about connecting us. Making people feel heard so. Yeah I'd love for you to talk more about how you're doing that on a large scale. I think does really make sense to kind of speak about that story. And because that was the beginning of this like the scope where I've obviously crepe directed and been involved with a number of different tech based creative projects and that project you mentioned that it was a project called C. Sounds and is was in collaboration with the mill. Who's incredible post production company in New York and Creative Director Back Rama? Alan and we had a conversation at South by South West. Where this idea that every voice is precious. Every voice is like a fingerprint. And it's like a Red Joel and that time. The voice is like a red jewel started to such in conversations more and more so we assist them which allowed people to digitally sculpt with voices precious metals and structures. So think of it almost like a broach or very read natural structure. You can build that with your voice missing different tones and textures and it will create this Completely unique structure and they're absolutely stunning. Obviously it's hard to communicate over Poku The project manifest installation. We invite the public to comand. Use the peace and this young girl that you mentioned it completely. Change my approach to augmentation working with technology but it was a puff. It's example of how the voice can lead to a flowering of oneself can lead to an opening of expressive interests and capacity. That can literally change the way you move the way you feel about yourself your confidence because she was extremely shy. I cannot say she was like a tiny little quantity attached to a bothers leg when she walked up to the peace of the microphone. She said these tiny utterances debt and she saw those sounds become something that looked physical on the wool these kind of growing crystal structures and when she saw that she made that connection and she started to shout and scream eventually law and again. She augmented with this tool which encouraged her to expressing tests have voice and she flowered and that was the beginning and this was clean case study of how experimentation an untraditional ways of exploring ourselves can lead to an introspection which she's so

It wasn't an easy decision I was brought up a Catholic and even though I wasn't a practicing Catholic I'm not a Catholic or religious but it was still obviously had been of a hold in my head the sense that possibly this wasn't a k. to do this wasn't somehow ethical and there were other worries to like what if the sperm donor had helped create other children who met his genetic siblings Perth is a fairly small place it was then what if other people doing this and there will be other children and what if they meet that thought was also very early in my head this was the early nineteen Eighties and going off to the doctor to be inseminated by strangers sperm was not something you talked about the main focus here was on protecting the adults involved things like unwelcome child maintenance or estate claims that might come later as long as the resulting children grew up in a loving family it was assumed they'd be okay as for Evelyn back then the identity of the sperm donor was a case of OUTTA sight outta mind I didn't need to know I just accept today I think a couple of years after Mattie was born Evelyn attorney had another child Beth at this time using sperm from a different minimus donor as the two children grew up Evelyn wrestled with telling them they'd been donor conceived no one to talk to about it some people say keep this a secret other people might say perhaps hello not maybe might be holiday struggle was they may they dad it felt this way I felt a different way and wanted what was best for them but it never seemed the right time either aged difference and the place our acting they development and is a good time and isn't it a good time so many and Beth remained oblivious to their backstory they grew up in Perth and though their parents eventually separated things kept chugging along well with shared custody arrangement but even as a child something was niggling matty said let's now bring matty into this story so I can remember being five or six years old at and we gatherings asking my parents is dead my real dad and their answer was yeah he's your father the reason that I asked that question was because don't look like the rest of my family I've red hair and freckles and growing up I can remember looking at family photos and wondering where I got my red hair and freckles from Evelyn head answer questions and my natural color is pretty much this this brown but in summer I get real red red tint so there's some there's some people used to say when Matthew was two or three said he's very much like his dad that's the response of people regardless having red hair yeah I didn't worry about the material in red hair or anything and they were red heads in tiny side of the family yeah to think of all the opportunities we had to do this a little bit differently and and didn't take and some regret around those sorts of things so now we come to Mattie eighteen getting ready to launch into adult life they that's Maddie by the way today many I the gender neutral pronoun they they were about to move out of home into a share house and head off to Uni and it was at this point Evelyn wanted to tell Medea a younger sister Beth that they'd been conceived using donor sperm actually said going to have a family chat and so that comes around and my parents are really nervous so that's that was pretty strange for us aw I was a little bit nervous but we knew what we had too many years ago and as you get closer to get a bit nervous but Louis relaxed but just wondering what their reaction would be sat around the kitchen table and I felt very anxious I felt very emotional
"medea" Discussed on Double Toasted
"You're smart enough and then you feel like even people aside to say like, listen, I can talk to you and you break it to the others? Yeah. Yeah. Medea was cool because he was on over because of the movie. They'll animals. They had a party. They got fucked up. Did. Almost some of that Honey. Somebody put something in hunting man. Party. Hey, all like that. Boom, hey, you got to do what I'm going to bam. Yeah, they might be stuffed animals, but they're not number. Oh, it was a, it was. It was. It was so cool man. Even the opening credits so wonderful though yet they are the one. The opening credits is so wonderful because his showing you the the history of Christopher Robin post where he has to move on, and I don't want to give you, you know, big long, dramatic story with that. You want you want to get onto the bear and all his friends and whatnot. But they give you the story of what his life is like leading up to where we are now, they do it in pick. They do an illustration for like it's a, it's a children's novel with illustrations, illustrate parts of his life. With those with those with those pages, go to dissolve in two live action. It's a really creative way to give storing. Always. It was looking at the movie at that point. I'm like, I'm up there. I'm tearing up. I really am an. I'm saying this right here. One of the best movies of the year. Yeah. With the direction that they had and the autistic direction that they had and just the emotional feelings that would tear me up in the first fifteen minutes on Mike's. Yeah, man, this is just pretty awesome. What, what do you think? Yeah, it was really digging it in that first fifteen minutes. Joe much like you are. Oh, no more. Because I. I wish I could have sustained good feeling. Billy. I don't know how you feel because I don't wanna say none because I tried to. I tried to be nice in the lobby would be we'll talk to because. The movie, the movie was just it was doing things with dignity and they weren't making it the goofy family film that I thought it could probably go to. And then this of bitch comes in the boss, and one of in the bus comes in bumbling, knocking shit over. I mean, even bring in sillier sound effects. He's putting his hands up. Don't. Constantly things and knocking knocking stood over. Not doing it again and again, and again, gut that British the British asshole thing on Christopher. Weaken? Do you want to. Bob credit. Yeah, yeah, no, it's it's. It's pretty slapstick it. It really is. He comes in with the bundling the bungling don't go away. He plays. He's luck. Sure. Like thrown recognize him. I recognize. Yeah. And he and he looks very different game of thrones. Yeah. Whose in game of thrones he's these advisor to surf daddy. Oh, okay. Yeah, she'll give me a neighbor. We comes in with that bumbling. The bumbling is contagious. It don't go away. In fact, it spreads to all the other parts of the movie doing all those all those goofy faces goofy British faces. Christopher christopher. Mark? Yes, I'm not saying to act as bad, but it's a good everything else. But yeah, in it's his fault. And at this point being that he brought in his goofiness and did not go away, this turned into the goofy family film that I thought that they were avoiding for the first fifteen. I didn't think it did that until later. But, but but the the movies not consisted in its tone, right? Because how it starts out is that man? This is such a dignified, beautiful film. I'm going to look forward to this and I feel bad that I was talking shit about the trailer. This is gonna be alright. Yeah, I feel like almost from the very beginning when you and McGregor comes on as the older Christopher, Robin start doing things that I wasn't too keen like what? All right. Know you're gonna guess when I say..
