Who contributed as a session. Musician from the second album married. John mcvie and joined the band in nineteen seventy and then from there on out. She was christine. Mcvie all three guitarists of the man left in succession during the early nineteen seventy s to be replaced by guitarist. Bob welsh and bob weston. Along with vocalist dave walker. So the three guys that left. Peter green had a pretty massive addiction to lsd and he was later diagnosed schizophrenic. Yeah a little bit of a spiral. After that jeremy spencer abruptly quit to join the religious cult called the children of god. I know about the children of god. Yes yes yes like. They had traveled to america. They were unto were then he was like i'm going to. I'm going to stay here. I'm gonna call in this call up and let's see and then during dany kirwin actually got fired and now considered to be a minor incident. I'm he trashed his dressing room and refused to go onstage for a show and they fired him man so the ban. You know the the lineup has been a little bit in turmoil. In nineteen seventy-three either remaining members of fleetwood. Mac told their manager cliff davis that they needed a break from touring and instead of making that happen. Davis decided to hire a fake version of the band under the same name. Play the tour dates that the real band didn't make that's and the whole incident resulted in a lawsuit over who owned the band's name so davis booked. Should The Simpsons Cast Be Replaced With AI Voice "Actors"?
"With most of the actors who voiced characters on the simpsons well into retirement age and the show seemingly having no intention of ever stopping a meeting. Cut wallover at wired. Uk wondered. could the actors all be replaced with a i rep locations. It makes a bit of sense off the bat. Near the proliferation of deepfakes circulating online aside major movie franchises have increasingly been patching together old footage of actors who have passed away like carrie fisher and the rise of skywalker and paul walker and furious. Seven or even just to fabricate a younger version of an actor who coincidentally had an entire body of work from their teenage years to use as reference points like robert. Downey junior in captain. America's civil war and will smith in jimmy man and with the simpsons. You only have to create the voice shortly. that's far easier especially with over three decades of content to pull from wired turn to tim. Mixed smithers canada-based. Ai researcher and media producer. Who builds a speech model that can be trained to mimic anyone's voice and notably has already recreated homer simpson for a few youtube videos including one where homer stands in for julia roberts in notting hill. Here's how he does it. Quoting wired mic smithers built generic. Ai model that can turn any text into audio speech in english when he wants to make a new voice he tunes the model further with two or three hours of new data of that particular person. Speaking along with a text transcript it focuses in on what makes a homer voice a homer voice and the different frequencies. He says after that it's a matter of asking the model to generate multiple takes. Each one will vary slightly and choosing the best one for your purposes and quotes bonnets. The performance is pretty flat as wired. Says it's quote as if he's reading out something that he doesn't really understand the meaning of and quotes which is pretty apt for homer still in the hut the performance. The show would probably be looking for there are other startups around. The world. Likes an antic in the uk and replica studios in australia. That are working to add. Some of that emotional resonance to a voice is using actual actors to help train them performing different lines over and over again with different emotional tones. Technically if you had someone recite all the existing phonemes in the english language or redescendu since that contained them all you should be able to then piece together any possible words. He wants but in reality. People's accents emotions can change things just slightly enough to make the process exceptionally challenging. Although absolutely doable and the time it takes to train the ai decreases over time with more data. Both semantic and replica studios who work primarily with video games where. There's a lot of intriguing possibilities with things like getting a character to say the player's name or whatever. The player wants them to or having a i basically work as a stand in until a real actor comes on board both of those companies say the actors they work with get paid anytime their voices are used in a game and this is a key element for me. Not just what rights doesn't actor have if they're only ever used to train in ai and not perform roll themselves so to speak but taking this back to the simpsons what rights do actors have whose voices are recreated to be their characters the screen actors guild affords actors certain bargaining rights over the use of their likeness. Which does explicitly extend to a performer's voice and while his protection is being rapidly expanded and reexamined as technology evolves you can impart think crispin glover for its origins after crispin glover declined to revive his role as george mic. Fly in back to the future. Part two they technically recast him. But they saddled the new actor. Geoffrey wiseman with prosthetics and employed classic stage tricks like having him upside down or wearing sunglasses to obscure his features as well as the use of some footage of glover himself from the first movie. Unless you were well aware that glover hadn't returned for the sequel. You probably wouldn't have had any idea that the george mcphee racine was any different from the first movie so glover sued the producers for using his likeness without his permission and for not paying him for the use of the footage. He shot for the first movie. But the legality of all of this now banned far beyond simply using a performance likeness and in many cases. Who is allowed to do what isn't so clear. There's copyright law which could give authority to the studio or whoever owns the rights but that counteracts with the right to publicity basically crispin glover thing and that's especially tenuous with cast as well known as the ones from the simpsons. You know a lot of people know these actors and if in a i replicated homer were out there. Advertising for some product people might assume dan castellaneta who voices homer is endorsing the product even if he had nothing to do with it so it's a tricky path to tread and personally. I'm a bit wary about the idea of ai. Replacing actors were any type of artists. Mean that's not to say that i don't want. Ai involved in arts. I think various tech can produce really rad art. I just don't think it can replace human-made arts and especially with something like the simpsons you know on the one hand. It's been on so long that it's the perfect fodder for ai. Replicated voices because then it could live on beyond the actors. And i guess honor them in some way but on the other hand. It's been so long that there are countless voice actors out there who can nail the characters voices perfectly and probably with more emotion.

B. I don't know how you could imagine that but with a bunch of kids and trying to work and now you find out the kids are going back to school until maybe may fifteenth I mean I don't this is what I'm very happy to be single and unmarried but I don't know how people do it the most dot not making money you got a million kids you're trying to work everyone making new recipes and it is it's a complete cluster the most offensive thing I've heard through all of this was Gayle king lamenting it's really hard to do this while you're single because it's just so lonely and I might come some some of this scale it's just only in your massive Bel Air mansion so narrowly up there depends how the Upper East Side shut up so thank you now I mean if I hear one more celebrities sing a song from their pool I'm gonna shoot somebody asks where I have more Matthew McConaughey in the woods is Bobby bandito in less Kylie Jenner's legs pool side I I know that's a weird thing this ma'am but that's the reality that is the reality I mean honestly and you see it out here you would not believe the conversations you overhear when you have to wait I don't know an hour to get into trader Joe's with a bunch of like hipster Silver Lake you this is I mean it's just unbelievable engine we deliver any wind up over thirty dollars a barrel that is a direct quote from somebody finally it's awfully trader Joe's okay I need a video I don't think they're not even you know producing series right now but we're all looking for the next tiger King makes me at trader Joe's lines throughout California I'd watched an episode of that I'm sites outside by helping the homeless encampment I know how that turns out you with every one of them socks that would for me I speaking to spend you got a new book out it's called mai ham unanswered questions about the Tsarnaev brothers the U. S. government and the Boston Marathon bombing obviously we all know April fifteenth two thousand and thirteen this happened your first book on this came out in twenty seventeen called maximum harm here's my question for you on the book you've gone Hollywood between twenty seventeen and now you've been wildly successful you've got a series on TV that's been picked up again you got another series in production why is this one stick in your Craw so much that even though you had so much success you still got to keep working on this thing we don't funny I tell the story all the time about how the family things you're rich when you put out a book and like the Christmas list gets bigger but I don't next them harm for five thousand dollars and re publish it for one reason and one reason only it's because I think we deserve the answers and somebody who is standing at ground zero you know I was in please bureau chief for nine eleven I had a front page that day on the New York Daily News it was burning all of lower Manhattan it's a day I will never forget I lost a lot of friends among the three hundred and forty three firefighters and twenty three and might be detox and thirty seven Port Authority police officers in the in the hundreds more that have died of the droga illness which nobody ever talks about even as we talk about clone of ours you know I think that we are deserving of answers to this day he be there people tend to give all the still haven't been brought to justice there are still how would classified records about the Saudi connection to nine eleven and I feel like we keep I actually read the nine eleven commission report and if anyone else reddit or anybody in Congress read it or any of our lawmakers took it seriously the marathon bombing whenever it happens and I think that we are deserving of the real answer is there are some very glaring questions that you and I talked about before number one the government said in court records they said during the night trial that they don't believe the brothers built the bombs they don't have any physical evidence linking them to the building of the bombs which raises the immediate question then who the hell did it and why are we looking for that person and then you turn to Topsfield Massachusetts fifty five days after the Boston Marathon bombing and you find out about this wacky doodle named Daniel Morley who told his mother he had something he had to answer to god for his mother told the top feel PD that he was friends with him on the night of October when the police bomb squad Topsfield PD they do a great job securing the scene they got permission to search the home all the time the FBI showed up I know where nobody who called the feed which is a quote that one status as one other that night and next thing you know despite the fact that nearly every component to the pressure cooker bomb that was detonated seven years ago was found in the kids back from the FBI thinks and take over the case and where do anymore we now well the last time I saw that cute he was driving for the ride when his original charge was beating up his mother and her elderly computing how does that make sense have your guy that had all of that stuff and it's it's never prosecuted have you ever talked to him I tried to get Bruce gellerman his good friend of mine W. B. O. R. talk about unlikely alliances but it we found out where he was living in move in Massachusetts and we went there and he literally had one of the ride vehicles that we pay for a factor and he landed on a slow speed chase R. N. he wouldn't get out of the card wouldn't talk to us you know I went to the hospital it's in the box to see more I want to talk to a hospital where he was being assessed the two years because you know anybody who had any experience with the amount of mental illness and trying to get help for that two years in a mental institution no one can tell to pay for that again I'm Ali but I went in there and I asked him to have faith in the the big gambling you know how good a guy as a Guinea did you build the bombs anytime in smirked at me and turn around walk away let me here we need to build the bomb would depend upon what he's talking about the alarm he was not at all but you know how this goes it's critics of yours make fear rolling their rising they're going all there goes makes me again often some crazy conspiracy theory and make it much more out of it that is already there is this just conspiracy theory talk well I think you'll see you know my friend Jim Sullivan over the market just in the story and he asked me that same question there's not one thing and that book VV that's not annotated this is all court records this is all interview notes if the inspector general Horowitz report is the mass media report it is you know shouldn't through both of his child every single solitary day every single day my my routine is to wake up look at pacer if you have any new filings in his case we both know that this case is so expensive that they steal the cost that we have already paid for the first two trials and now the field the costs of his appeal I mean this is become a boondoggle and I think the world deserving of the answers I challenge anyone they can treat me right now any question that they have about the book and I will point you can go to my Facebook page you know I will point to the evidence I have the support any questions that you have and DB you know I have pictures of every single piece of evidence that was taken out again I'm always house I have him on the night of a file which you know Magnus are provided to people while ago talking about this inexplicable state department document that has camel and when he was sixteen years old come into the country and I had another completely different dude on the same identical document where the same identical shirts and the state department either the scanning failure but declined to explain how that giving failure might have happened there's just a lot of money of the questions that I think we deserving of those dancers the most important question I think is what you know you have an FBI agent who interviewed him on but I've been a whole family in twenty eleven after the Russians warned us that he was becoming radicalized you're telling me that that the I. agent just as a reporter you're telling me that the pension from out of town when in your heart you don't recognize the guy you really buy that the new book is called may have Michelle makes the our good friend is the author of if you like maximum arm you're gonna like may I'm one of the exits it Michelle is I looked you've never been

I never understand if you have more than two million dollars and get rolled for anything. You're a rookie through total rookie. Man Like come on. What do you think about this? You're driving a Lamborghini the price of that Lamborghini. You could buy a nice luxury car and you could pay. You could pay someone who needs the job to drive you around. I think the reason I pulled over the he's not supposed to be out driving around Wait before we can go about John Jones. More breaking news current events Thanks to John. I watched the best documentary. I've ever watched in my life. If you haven't watched it on net flicks go check out. Tiger King Okay. John Give us give us the breakdown. Let's get the recap like so a. Gen just started watching this one day and I'm like what are you watching? Netflix recommended this. And we're like okay right so remember eastbound down with Danny McBride. Yes wow what a down with Danny McBride. If he was a gay polygamist of very hard core advocate of the second amendment and raise tigers does solid. You could raise tigers. I didn't know you could. I didn't know you could just go buy baby tigers. I can't believe in two thousand nine when we were rich. We didn't buy a baby tire. How did we end up with Pomeranians and multipurpose blows my mind that we don't have a tiger in the house right now? You guys had a tiger. It'd be coolish. I the whole time I was just like how cuddly they are and I was like what it was so sad though. The little baby tigers a little cry noise. I'm sure that was for their mom. Now that messed me up. I mean I didn't want to see 'em mistreated or anything. But they are really cute and they do look like honestly they look like the grew up like that dude was going in those cages and spoiler alert right and the Tigers didn't seem to care at all about him like obviously they're not bad pets. That's my logic if I don't believe that you could be like bad your tigers and they're not going to eat you alive if you go in their cage so I was. That was my whole thought. Like yeah. Maybe they shouldn't be in these cages and be in Siesta key or wherever they are in Florida but at the end of the day of these tigers didn't like their setup. There's a lot of tigers and just these guys are walking right in and they will bite your face off. I would imagine that was my logic guests that tigers eight that guy and the circus. Yeah the Tigers Roy in Vegas like the Tiger Mall on Right Vegas well. The One lady did get her arm. Bid Off spoiler alert so spoilers I mean Jeez what else is on your watch list right now now that tire kings outlook. There's a lot of documentaries on TV these days and there's some groundbreaking ones. There's all kinds these days right but I will say this is every episode of the Tiger King trumped the episode before that like you know what I mean. Most stories like they're stretching it out for more episodes or whatever like that thing was like. It's unlike anything I've I think I've ever seen. It was crazy like and it was hard to look away in needs to win ever have award shows again. It needs to win an award the whole time. I'll say ninety if we had been like Joe Starting in two thousand seven and paid somebody to fill US twenty four seven for the last ten years. We would have the best documentary. We would rival tire. King without even Tigers Clo- we asked people filming. Tiger King was on snapchat seriously. Like imagine if he was doing snapchat. Oh well if you look at it. Carol Sh look how famous carol got doing youtube. And how rich you see those numbers. Oh another twenty thousand dollars from Youtube I was like. Oh my God like she. She got besides getting the twenty million from killing her husband's for feeding him to allegedly her tiger spoiler alert he. She was making so much money from Youtube. Made me think like wow these people that really now is also what. I got out of the documentary. I thought I was like you know a good social media person and content creator but I am a white belt. There are black belt content creators out there so far like it it really was inspiring a step up my game and I even went. Live on Tick Tock for seven people yesterday thinking. Yeah this is what the Tiger Kings Joe would've done. Yeah I mean. He was next less like he put out country songs. He's not even country singer. You know what I mean like that dude I would I would be. I gotta be straight honest with you. His content was next level. He did the lady killing her husband and feeding the Tigers country saw. That's pretty impressive. That's like yeah. I don't know his hustle. Kind of reminds me of US. Way Back in the day but I I haven't related so I was like Whoa. That's me in another life. Like I feel like minus like I wouldn't put tigers in cages but mostly like I feel like everyone hated him the way we were hated. It was just. I'm going to watch it. Heidi needs to watch it from the beginning. Heidi on these few minutes of it. I WANNA watch it again for sure because I feel like I feel like there was so much to it. You can't pick it all up the first thought. Idaho differ note. I know so random. What are your thoughts on? Prince Harry and Meghan markle leaving the royal family. And what do you think that's really about God? I mean imagine living under those rules like in the you can only dress a certain way. You can only do certain things you know like all my buddies like you know Harry was a longtime soldier right in Afghanistan and everyone I talked to said Harry like he didn't mind risking his life to be with the rest of the guys and you know and princess. Don't do that you know what I mean. So imagine what. Live your life and being told because of a title not because of who you are because of a title. You can't do that like I don't disagree with their move at all like I don't know nothing about the British royals mean like I got a ton of time and inhere for 'EM OD headquarters. But like I don't know nothing about royals I've been to Buckingham Palace. A couple of times and inside Buckingham and stuff like that as aghast but I don't blame them at all you know what I mean like. Imagine trying to live your life and you know you're always told what you could wear what you could say how to wave like it just seems crazy to me. That's what my mom always say growing up like. It looked so glamorous but you have no idea how she was going to marry a royal back in the day when I was going to be the princess. Yeah that's what my mom always had like. You would never want that life. You have no idea how hard that life is. I mean I. I don't blame them. Terry's look Harry's never going to be king and I think Harry is a little kid realized I need to live my life. You know what I mean where the of them are fighting to be king in takeover. And they're looking for power Harry's just a regular guy like yeah whatever it right. I don't care about being king I'm never going to be king who cares And I think like to raise their kid and I mean but think about this and you guys know this as soon as you have a child the ballgame changes for you so imagine they probably just WanNa raise regular kids. Yeah I agree. And then he probably from seeing his mom too and her wanting to break away from the fighting for that. We don't know what he's heard or what letters she wrote them or what he's seeing. I think seeing your mom have that life and die is is very traumatic and you know it seems like he probably also carries that with him. I don't doubt that I mean I can only imagine what I can only imagine what that's like as a child you don't mean like but I would want that on anybody seriously all different. No what are some good barbecue tips before we have to get off here. I wanted barbecue tonight. We have all that stuff. Just throw it in the girls spence. Yes so okay barbecue tips. I would say this one thing. I've learned over the past year so if you're using a pellet smoker traeger like smoker turn the temperature down lower than normal barbecue like normal barbecues to twenty-five this. I'd say to seventy five lower that down under two hundred and let it cook for longer periods of time the smoke. The crust of the meat gets better. The smoke gets deeper. The flavor gets better. That would be the first thing I'd say the next thing I would say is You know with a lot of me. It doesn't need as much rub or seasoning as you think and I would tell you. Don't ever underestimate salt and pepper on the meat itself. And then I think the last thing what smoking that I would say is If you could get like I have a meter which it's it's called meet our bright like meet with an R And it's a temperature probe and it tells me like I put it in tells me the temperature meet it tells me the temperature of the smoker and then it tells me how long it'll do the math of how long it's GonNa take to cook. I would get a good meat. Croak and cook the meat to the temperature that you want to eat it up. Got THAT SPENCE CHEF for him. Pratt Daddy Garner loves just eating a PURE RUB he begs. Us Rub seasoning. It's ridiculous. Wait are you when you go out and about do you see people wearing gloves and that level of North Carolina no man. No one gives a road trip from my house to the Gulf coast of Mississippi back and in between there no one gives a. There's the same amount of traffic same amount of cars on the road. Same In the stores like no one gives us around here and I would say this. Is You know you watch the news? You'd think everyone's dying from this thing but I think the truth is is like in the southern states where authority warm cold and Flu. Season's over Noah getting sick no one cares.

I thought I saw them your last year. I've probably had for show but I'm sure I tasted them. Yeah I like pickle flavored stuff even if it's sweet but the sale will be fail fail. Kale flavored cal. I know who does know if they can't believe for Kale. Kale tastes good because you do stuff well. They also are going to come out with ham flavored and pizza-flavored so if you don't like the Kale I'm I would imagine ham or pizza that might be pretty tasty and willing to it on our food cast page If you WANNA go buy a box I will try all of those and I feel sure they're all going to be pretty gross. I want like cheesecake and Peach Cobbler like that's what I want. My Candy Canes Tasteless. I feel like this all stemmed from those Jones Soda Oda Holiday Sodas that tasted like stuffing and gravy and Thanksgiving. Whatever it's a gimmick I'll buy little I mean it's a choir taste but that cell array soda that Old Delhi Soda Celebrates your grandparents favorite yeah it tastes like celery but sweet celery and it tastes good so love that maybe the okay we'll be the same thing just Kale. You know what that's a good point. Mike we will give it a try. It will be gross won't tell us uh-huh okay. Are we ready to start the hacks all right so my first hack and it's a little recipe. It's something that I created. Maybe two weeks ago and I want you guys to try it. This is what I have called. I have named this a cereal milk law and I only came up with the name after I tasted it. and I thought wow this taste like cereal milk. Now I believe once I was like I'm so smart I created this thing and then I googled and cereal milk lot days exist but that's actually made made with milk from serial. This is not it just tastes like it so it's a time saver because you don't actually have to like put your cereal bowl of milk and exactly and no serious harmed armed or used for that or abused or anything so here's here are the things that I use and I'm going to rattle some stuff off that also could be used in other ways so like you should hear it ingredient and say oh. I know how I'M GONNA use that in the future so first thing I use I start with an instant vanilla coffee. Very a rare can't even find it these days. I buy it on Amazon Nurse Cafe. Look at this and says Frenchman and it's an other languages too so maybe this is not even even like an American pride and even know you could get flavored instant well you can and it's key for this so I mean if you don't have flavored instant vanilla. You can use the instant instant coffee of your choice starbucks. V. is good or whatever instant coffee like I recommend the next cafe French Vanilla that they sell on Amazon and Jamie. We're GONNA link. I right yeah heck. Ask because I'm going to be the first one all right so I use that. I use a teaspoon of that and then I add to that all right. This is an ingredient that I'm gonNA hate emails from this. I don't know but I use this to me. This is a secret weapon that I use it a lot of things. Is it natural no is is it healthy no but a little goes a long way and it will change your life enter coffeemate French vanilla sugar free powder Lula. Ah How retro totally Retro Okay Wait. I'm going to grab this and I'm going to read about it grew so here's the thing some people say oh. I keep the the liquid coffee. May It's not the same and I'm going to tell you why the liquid coffee mate to get the bang you need you get out of one tiny teaspoon of this. You need several tablespoons. You end up using fifty to one hundred calories worth of liquid for what you would get for about ten calories worth of the powder so that's a little known secret that people don't know so. This powder has thirty thirty calories a tablespoon. I never ever ever use a whole tablespoon. I use a teaspoon so potent ten calories delicious smelled us it smells like like ready whipped lipped and Bonilla heaven and even though there are some chemicals in us the tiniest so whenever I use this by away in anything and I'll use it in oatmeal use it in everything but I dissolve it in warm water. It gets clumpy if you don't do that so so I add this to the coffee coffee then I add. Here's another weird thing. You're going to be like what the heck are you talking about malted milk powder. We have in that's retro. Is it here okay. It's carnation and I don't know if we have it with us. Carnation malted milk powder and you're probably thinking my supermarket doesn't have it every supermarket. Has it again a serving of it. I think is three tablespoons for ninety calories. Well I use one. I use two teaspoons of it okay so I used to teaspoons of the Frenchman. Oh coffee made powder two teaspoons of the malted milk powder one teaspoon of the coffee. I add a little bit of cinnamon like an eighth of a teaspoon or something thing sometimes you could add a tiny bit of trivia if he wanted super sweet you don't need to but you dissolve that in a couple of like a quarter cup of hot water and you make sure it's dissolved then you

"Have you had any things that are let me turn that around for second on the pop culture thing and come back to that. How have you? Been influenced by pop culture in sort of flipping that around a little bit. Do you have things in here that are mere by pop culture because it seems that you just kind of go your own way. Yeah. I mean we ever finger on the pulse. We tend to if something gets to popular we move away from it and towards something else. We've pulled back a little bit on masks. We pull back we pull back on a lot of things over time because we used to put out four or five bacon products here, for example. And now we pull back to if we have a great bacon idea. We'll do the bacon idea, but we're not constantly trying to push and products because there's so much bacon. Like it was overwhelming with bacon. What about cats are cats, an exception to that or are cats ubiquitous? Well, it's not so much that cats would ever be over with but certain things for for for cats. You have to judge are there too. Many other few cat costumes like is doing a cat. Sombrero cat cowboy hat a thing or as someone already done that. And the answer is. All ready done that what about things that? You weren't sure that we're going to be a success. That surprised you did you have anything that was. You're really worried was going to be a flop but turned out to do. Really? Well, my the one I was most worried about flopping was a product. We did call hander pants which are underpants. Fear hand, they're basically why front fingerless gloves? I thought they would be hit. But I was so worried and then it turned out they were like an instant hit and super-popular. So and this was your idea hander pants right idea? Which was one of the reasons I was so nervous about it. Because I remember sitting next to a designer one day and just saying to hander pants and he's hold on. And he took out a sketch pad, and he drew Kurt drew exactly what was in my head. So it was an amazing confluence of things didn't need to explain it to people and the people that get it. Get it. Yielding pickle is. Also, yours, right. Yes. I did come up with the idea for the link pickle. We had done a nother your. Modeling product, and we had a surplus of pickle sound chips. And we were like water we're going to do with all these pickle sound ships because the other product only sell so well at I said, what if we put him in a pickle and low and behold, the yodeling pickle was born. And it's become one of our best sellers of all time, we d- remiss without checking out what a yodeling pickle sounds like. So we're almost through with our walking tour of the store here. We've talked a lot about sort of the the philosophy of Archie McPhee. If you will as well as the type of products, you have there's one underrated product here. What would it be? Wow. The most underrated product gosh, you gotta give me a second to think about that. One. What do I love? I love the new products. One of our best selling products also finger hands which are tiny fingers that you put in the hands. We've done various versions of those. We did glow in the dark, and we did him in rainbow colors. But recently, we decided to do a lobster finger lobster claw, which I love. And I think it's one of the best things we've ever done. But I don't know if the world will accept it the way that I have in my heart. So if somebody wants to get started with Archie McPhee doesn't know what to start is there. A gateway purchase what we do sell a starter kit on the website, the intention is to gift it to a friend. But you could also use it for yourself. I personally think a rubber chicken is a great place to start. We have them in all sizes and shape. So you can choose the rubber chicken. That's right for you. All right. And on that word. We will leave it David. Thank you very much. Thank

"We're back talking with David wall of Archie McPhee in the Archie McPhee flagship. I suspect only store retail store. Right. Correct. Yeah. We're we're far too much control freak till it someone else try and do this. So other people can find your products. I mean, you have a catalog and you also sell through their retailers. Correct. Correct. Yeah. We have a wholesale catalog their sold all throughout the United States across the world. We have distributors around the world are products. They're they're the there's an Archie McPhee in other cities where you can go to a certain shop. And if you're a weirdo in that town, you know, what shop that is. But you also sell in certain stores where I would consider with all due respect to the store sort of the anti Archie McPhee. For example. I was recently in a Bartell drugs in the Seattle area. And I saw Archie McPhee branded products on the shelf, including the scream doll. Now. Bartels I'm gonna take exception to that. Because Bartels hit. Bartels is a Seattle local Seattle chain, and they know what's going on. And they know what their customers want. They are like a really good customer of ours. And I got to say they they get it. They understand what we're going for and Seattle is probably strange enough that we could have Archie McPhee in every neighborhood and Bartels capitalize isn't that idea by putting a little bit of Archie McPhee in every neighborhood in Seattle. All right. Well, I do shop and Bartels I'll say that. Is it a glamour for that purpose? So as we continue our tour, we we went through the rubber chicken museum. We went through the rubber chicken gift shop, we saw the rubber chicken, which is taller than either of us. I noticed the world's largest rubber chicken and great photo op. And you know, you can't stop by Seattle without getting your picture taken with the world's largest rubber chicken, and it's free. So we're standing by this thing that looks like a coffin as we continue as you look toward the back of the store we're sort of just to the right in the back corner. What is this? This is our bacon display. So we put all of our bacon products in this. Nice little cardboard coffin display, and it seems bacon is not the healthiest food. So it seems kind of like the way it should be. Okay. And what's your we've already talked about some of the various bacon things. Like, there's JIMBO bacon, candy canes. Mr. beacons big adventure, which is a board game. I hope it's a board game. There is Mr. bacon ornament. Apparently, the the bacon. Line is very formal. Because many things are called, Mr. bacon. And what is your favorite bacon? Item out of my favorite bacon. Product is probably the bacon. Bandages because I really liked the way the bacon looks when you have it on it's kind of uncooked bacon. So it almost looks like you're covering a wound with a wound. So when you're cured, then the bacon is cured. Exactly. The curing occurred all round. Obviously, this is this is very pop culture. And I'm just curious if the stuff that Archie McPhee's men doing for as many years as it has been has influenced others in pop culture. It sure has to two of our proudest moments one. Pixar the has a secret room inside Pixar, and you have to go through a tunnel in Pixar to get to this broom and not everyone even gets shown the secret room, but I have a friend who got shown the secret room, and he took a picture of me we had a product called senor mysterious and there's a senior mysterious. Oh, one of our products at the heart of Pixar, which was amazing. How about the Simpsons? I heard a rumor that there may be some Simpson's here too. Well, there's two great connections with Simpson's. There was a senior mysterious. Oh, spotting on the Simpsons. And also Matt graining is is it will is or used to be a giant Archie McPhee fan, and he had our Biba clock and used to gave him out a few of them as gifts and Bebo is one of the center pieces of our company. So that was a big deal for us..

"Lonzo geekwire contributor and host of the special interview series with some of the leading voices of popular culture, science fiction and the arts I'm pleased to be joined by David wall, director of awesome, also known as marketing and creative services for Archie McPhee. He's been with the company for the past twenty three years starting by packing boxes for mail order. We're on site at the Archie McPhee world headquarters in wallingford an. Unassuming somewhat quirky one story building on a busy corner at forty fifth and stone way. Welcome david. Hey, thank you. So I have to ask you when somebody approaches this building, and let's step outside for a moment here when somebody approaches this building, and they walk in what do you usually find the expect to see well as you can see the outside of the building is brightly colored. It's a giant red building. And we have decorated the side of it with basically a parade of weirdos. And this tends to be an attractor sign for the kind of person that will enjoy what is inside the store. So when you see a unicorn and Bigfoot and a squirrel and underpants on their way into the store. They know this is the place for them. Okay. So let's inside the store with signs that say grand opening argument fees rubber chicken museum. We'll talk about that in a bit. When somebody does ask about Archie McPhee? How would you describe Archie McPhee to to a grandparent or? Neighbor, who's not familiar with you at all? Well, as it says on our website, we make weird which was the shortest condensation of the thought that we could come up with for three years three words. So basically, the idea being that we make the stuff that people don't know that they want. But once they see it they have to have it. It's the amazing stuff the frosting on the cupcake that makes life worthwhile because none of it's necessary. But it's intrinsic the life experience. It's art. When was Archie McPhee originally founded, and where urge McPhee was founded thirty five years ago by Mark Paulo. And what he did was he used to go out and find interesting items and then figure out ways to remark at those items and win those ran out. We decided, oh, what will start doing is make our own items at his brilliant idea. And that's where we are. Today. So this is not your original location. Is it when we're here in wallingford? No, we've actually had three locations in Seattle. The first was in Fremont. And then we went to Ballard and then move from Ballard to wallingford. And why is it called Archie McPhee? Why not Mark Pol? Archie mcphee? Was was a great uncle that went took the first dance band. China back in the thirties before anyone else had taken in dance band to China and the rhythm and poetic nature of his name, and the his whimsical nature was kind of an inspiration for the store..

Lindsay Lohan Wants Fans to Do the Lilo After Her Dance Moves Go Viral
"As I'm sure every one of you has seen Lindsay Lohan dancing in Mykonos video. Let me just recap this. So basically, I don't know if it was Lindsay or someone else posts video of Lindsay, truthfully living her life in egos, and she's dancing. She's living it up anyway, busy Phillips and Kellyanne decide to remake the video. It's on Friday night. So they make in their kitchen. They posted video and it was hilarious. Critique in comments on a lot of celebrities coming out like, oh my God, this mazing. So we post it and we kind of made it until challenge like doing the Lindsay Lohan challenge. And what was so shocking to me was that there was this mixed response like half the people are more than half the people loved it thought it was hilarious, and the other half started to really come for busy and Kelly saying that they were bullying, Lindsey, listen, let me tell you. We go through a very vigorous checklist before we post anything to make sure that it's not offensive me in voting, whatever. Not for one second. In my mind that I think of that at all in that light, especially. Knowing busy Phillips who was like the preacher of being like so sweet. So nice. So good. Like her tensions weren't to bullying when they were in the slightest bit malicious. So so that happens, right. They posted in everybody kind of starts talking about it personally. I didn't. I couldn't. I usually try to like, see all the sides that situation. I could not see that was bullying. Then. TMZ comes out and calls it mocking Spencer Pratt than defense, busy busy than comments on it being like guys. Are you kidding? We're literally two moms on a Friday night. Lindsey is invading was having the time of her life. We were just trying to like, do her dance, what it was yet. So then I found my most validation when Lindsay reposted the video herself saying, do the challenge was loving. It was basking in the glory peaking. I'm telling you, I'm telling you she's peaking. So there's Lindsay having the time for life. All these people that were saying that she was upset about it when she posted. I finally was like, there you go guys and you know they're still people like who that's still not going to get through. She only posted it because she wanted to make it look like she wasn't upset even though she like, you know what I mean? But it wasn't. She was happy. I thought she was great dancing truly thought she looked great and was having so much fun. I just that whole thing really frustrated me frustrated me because I felt like it was taking it was like a glass glass, half empty approach, like really looking at it, the negative of a very late hearted fund situation. I agree. I tried to get my thoughts really pissed me off.

Well, yeah, I'm just saying like, you know, it was good for him because like, yeah, a lot of the movie was just him in the wolf, and I don't know. I felt that it was cute. I felt that you know, story progressed well, and that, you know he was able through his facial expressions to show their journey to try to get home because that's really what it was both. Why Miranda Lambert Refused to Discuss Gwen Stefani Publicly for So Long
"W i n t caller number three is my winner of a pair of atlas cinema movie tickets runny three and change after the hour here on wednesday july fourth jv get together this is katharine mcphee singing yes while that but she's known for she's currently starring in waitress on broadway she's engaged to composer david foster has not be news he was on the show scorpion on cbs she'd been smash nbc's he's thirty four foster sixty eight so little age difference there he's been married four times and the last time was g g umbrella hadid mother yolanda beverly housewife and so this is fifth trip down the aisle mary bj cook from seventy two to eighty one rebecca dyer from eighty to eighty six linda thompson from from ninety one to two thousand five and so got divorced last may from ms indeed he was married once nothing here's the there's so many creepy things about this okay yes he's thirty four years older than she is she doesn't have a baby yet you know that at some point she's gonna wanna baby so we'll see how that goes and the other thing is she was married once before to a guy named nick coca from two thousand eight two thousand sixteen on mr foster played piano for them at their wedding oh my god there's so many creepy levels devesh craves she was in that show that musical show what was it called i yeah yeah nbc smack and she had an affair with the director of smash that's how her marriage broke up oh wasn't from having an affair with i love having affairs tiresome by twenty five past the hour let's get to some music news somebody everybody likes justin timberlake has dropped a surprise track just in time for the fourth of july just made a surprise bid for the song of the summer song is called soulmate that were playing here yes sounds like other stuff song samba i kind of liked it a lot of people said it sounds like a lionel richie song which it really does to me there's a lot of energy i always like his dancing songs better than his man of the woods staff like his kind of country folk stop i'm not really a fan of but i like this yeah fans online quick to point out the keyboards on the song were reminiscent of a classic lionel richie get i can't remember the name of the song now do you know the song i'm trying to my mind i always have a hard time separating lionel ritchie makamba doors so and i think the line originally i think of their music not his own frankly i'm not a good one to ask anyway yesterday was the first day of the european leg of his tour so it's a good time for him to get more attention right so this is not in the man of the woods album is out all this is from a new at least the idea would be it would be in the new album the song single okay so that's the justin timberlake news miranda lambert his on the stub breaking her silence letting her music do the talking which is why she was noticeably quiet following the split from great or blake shelton the weight of these wings year later now she's sitting moving on with gwen stefani was one of the reasons behind her silence she told the head of the of the music company always going to talk to anyone and i didn't you said came out this week i came into my manager's office at i'm not speaking anyone until they hear this record i thought that was fair all the sad moments were there all the truth was right in those songs only had to do is listen i didn't need to say anything but the music was out i got on the phone for the first debut for his question was already gwen i hung up that makes a statement cheating and probably be a pretty bad relationship with somebody that she obviously cared a lot about then happens anyway miranda lambert breaking her silence on the breakup some three years later twenty eight after the hour.

"I'm glad for the people who follow the caps i'm glad for the it was so weird that george mcphee was in was involved in this in the way he was involved with the other team yeah but i'm just i'm there's only one feeling i mean i've sat and watched covered a lot of those games the games that were just excruciating for people who follow the the franchise a random bernie wolfe yesterday original cap goalie rice goalie yeah and i just i just congratulations i mean how great is this for you for everybody who's been associated with it i mean for people who just suffered for a long time with and and for the capitals it really was tony because of the way they lost into whom they lost so many years i'm just happy i'm happy for them i'm thrilled for them thrilled for people who have been following and i mean really following but i'm happy for people period any area where they haven't won like cleveland i mean i i've spent so much time in cleveland over the last particularly since the drive i was thirty two years going and covering those things and certain cities they do have of suffering i'm not talking about philadelphia i'm talking about that i would try to insert themselves as long suffering like shut up but caps fans the people who really followed the franchise and paid money to go i don't mean just the rock the red era but people who've been following the franchise since the beginning and certainly the last twenty years good for them i'm thrilled for them so gary is here and gary talked about going almost on a whim to game five and being in las vegas and being in the arena where there were many many more red jerseys that i think people probably expected to see you you were there right you were there when the cubs won you went to that game in cleveland and that's what is that like what is that like the at the individ when they won and then you know out of the forty five thousand people that stadium probably holes twenty five thousand of them were wearing the same color.
Warriors defeat Rockets, will face Cavaliers in NBA finals
"Lots of skill can score can defend to beating everybody and leading in the stanley cup finals this is the mazing sports story it's an amazing business story it just happens to be in sports but it could be an any business you know the first company you go to start a computer company and in the first year you compete with apple or you start a you know a search engine and the first year you compete with google that's impossible this guy did it it's an incredible incredible story george mcphee is his name remember that there's gonna be a movie about this guy remarkable remarkable story how rely on kfi bender what's going on in other stories this one out of houston where the rockets have just lost game seven of the western conference finals to the defending champion golden state warriors who returned to the nba finals for the fourth straight year facing for the fourth straight year the cleveland cavaliers that extends those teams record for the most number of times two teams have faced and consecutive nba finals one ninety two year final in game seven tonight in houston a man has been found dead in his apartment in thousand oaks ventura county sheriff's department confirms a twenty six year old died in his apartment early this morning a twenty seven year old woman was also found inside she was injured and taken to a hospital a neighbor tells ktla she heard what sounded like roommates fighting loud screaming commotion fighting yelling you know i couldn't hear actual words but you know it's angry you know and then i started hearing the blood curly's springs two other men were inside that apartment at the time investigators are still questioning them monica rix kfi news a judge in orange county one city officials to make a plan already where all the people cleared out of the tent camp in the santa ana river bed a couple of months ago will go hundreds who were put up in motels on a temporary basis have been moved to armories and santa ana anaheim now judge david carter.

"Had never been able to get them out of that second round in in the alexandria veteran era and that it was time for a new set of is maybe a new voice and what was interesting is they then they go and they get the job to george mcphee old assistant bright mccowan wasn't wasn't really any of those things and hasn't really had to do a massive overhaul on this roster and and yet here they are so you know yeah this is one of those cases where if you wanted to you could you could probably make a pretty good argument that george mcphee is going to be sitting up there in the press box watching the stanley cup final between two teams that he basically built himself in terms of the golden knights they've been really impressive in the regular season perhaps even more impressive during the postseason really happen dominant for stretches what's their weakness at this plant is their thing that you think the capitals will actually be able to explain or at least try and explain during these finals you know it's it it is going to be tough because the you know the the golden knights as much as all of us are scratching our heads trying to figure out how the hell this happened and how you could possibly have a situation in which expansion team comes in and isn't even trying to build a winner in year one you know we go back to their public comments at the time where they were making it very clear that they expect it to do a lot of losing in your one and they they had their eye on the future and and to almost you know by accident stumbled into this stanley cup contender in none of it makes any sense none of it can be explained but yet you look at this roster this is not some fluke team this is something that just snuck into the playoff.

"Well it was hard to explain because it's the caps have been a very good team for a long long time and every once in volume eat some puck luck in either break and that club never seem to get it we were you know a lot of series that i thought we're going to go away and for one reason or another didn't and i i wish that explanations they did they they'd be they'd have stanley cups so i guess last one four georgia's how do you how to you in the team prevent a victory lap from already happening there's there's lots more to go right here sure is there sure is and richard and doing this long enough ben to the finals twice and it's not much fun go to the finals and losing so while all this is a great experience and feels great and it's great for marketplace because we now have roots here and they've grown deep you know we we're here to win i you know i'm an older guy now so i know what steak and i know how much of hurts to lose it i sure love to experience winning and then once in and i just wanna just get again last one for you here george mcphee general okay great last one for you here's just seeing we had derek england on the show few weeks ago and just knowing his journey played in places like moose jaw right and then taken so long to get to the pros and and then coming back to vegas where he played some of his minor league hockey and then having the shooting happened nine days before the home opener and having him speak so eloquently to the crowd and then having what played out on the ice play out and england being the one grab that trophy in winnipeg and hoisted put into words with this means for the community that you've seen play out in front of you the the season the story and everything georgia well it some sort of very tale rich we've got we lost fifty eight people.

"Legend in the organization he has been with the team he knows the team so i think he's been giving the best chance to succeed but as far as looking into the crystal ball and guaranteeing anything very tough to tell james says finally the caps slay the demons happy for lovie my question is can they be tampa well that's my question to and i'm going to spend the next couple of days really thinking about that a s i don is there a better potential subplot for either conference final should nashville went on thursday than the fours berg 'em mcphee connection it's true you're gonna have forsberg formally of the washington capitals mcphee formerly of the washington capitals taking on the vegas golden knights so there's that connection as far as that is concerned because mcphee who is the head of the vegas golden knights pulled off the deal that he probably regrets sending fours berg to nashville so there's those connections a lot of different actions obviously if washington were to face nashville in the stanley cup final there'd be that fours berg connection that mcphee connection if the vegas golden knights in the taking a washington capitals but yeah there's definitely that and and what a great job by filip forsberg two goals and an assist and that goal that put it away in the third period of a three nothing absolutely filthy between the legs religious something c max says overall i feel tampa's better team but i'm not sure if they are defensively sound enough to contain washington especially on special teams what kind of judgments do each team need to make also unsure of who to cheer for being a fan of both teams while i mean i don't know tampa has won a stanley cup into but that's going back aways fourteen years in two thousand four it's also hard to believe tampa now gone to the conference final three of the last four years they've been one of the most consistent organizations and i was thinking as far as the expansion situation is concerned.
