"To fight Donovan McNabb, he said on Shannon Sharpe's podcast. I'm dead serious on knock McNabb out, guys. There's money and celebrity boxing. I get it because that's the new thing, right? Was it? I don't know. Is it money? That's no, no, no, no key. That's that's the right question. There's some magic to matchmaking. Sometimes you can put two guys together and there's an urgency like you don't want to hear about it. You got to watch it while it's happening, for example, like Mike Tyson fights, Roy Jones, I don't care if they're 100, right. I had to watch it. I paid the money, and I watched it because they're different, though, Max, right? Because those are two former channel doubt. But you could, but but it's not okay, because right now we live in an age of social media where people are begging just to see entertainment value. Train wreck people. Yes. But our next people beyond that you're right, Keith. That is different. There used to be great fighters and everything. But there is something you can match two people up and you got to see it. And the question is, Does t O and McNabb have that? Does it have that thing like whatever you pass judgment on key? If I told you McNab and t O or about a fight, it's going to cost you 50 bucks. You're paying to watch it or not. Probably not. Jack. Probably not. I probably would friends are because I know them both. I know them both. And I understand what I understand. I'm on the fence about it. I don't know it because, like in the end, if you can't fight well enough to be worth watching. Every Eagle fan will buy this. Every Eagles fan would want to see that considering their history, of course, and that's what they like. You can buy $50 for Logan, Paul Like I watched this like I'm like, What am I have been watching? I'd much rather I'm not watching. That's you, though. Key. That's you know, keep them watching Logan. I watched Logan Paul, too. That's what I'm trying to. Thanks. Asked me if I would spend my 50 bucks. I'm not paying to see them fight. I just don't I have no interest in watching dollars of McNabb and T O get in. The ring is great. But I think there will be the question the whole question As to whether you make a fight, right is whether there are more people in the end who come at down on Keyshawn side like you know what? In the end, I'm not Paying to watch that or more people on your side. J was like, Yeah, I'm going to pay to watch like and then that determines whether it's worth it to do it or not, Right. People are watching the most random things on the Internet. Not for 50 bucks. You'd be surprised with people pay money for You do it without? You know, J. J J is right people. People pay money for some crazy stuff. There's no question about it. I get it. You got two former athletes that over the last I don't know, I would say, probably 18 years. They played together one year and over the last 18 years. And so there's this. It seemed one sided. It seemed like T O doesn't like Donovan. But I never hear Donovan say anything. I would I wouldn't. And this was T O saying it by the way Key. This was not Donovan McNabb saying anything was his teeth. That's what I'm saying. So the question I guess would be with Donovan. Sign up to fight he. Oh, that's the question. Who would you take Max? Who would you take? I'm taking Don t O. Looks like he's in good shape, though it don't matter, though. He looks like he could say in a good shape doesn't matter. I mean, he's obviously tall. He's long. He has distance on his jobs would have Donovan gets in the body. It depends who spent more time in the ring who got the muscle memory is what it comes down to always comes down to muscle memory with that crap, But I'm sure Donovan McNabb we go get into shape and do the whole But I don't even think Donovan mentally. But even like he ain't even processing it like that. Like I need to go fight T o. I don't even think Donovan is coming from that angle. That's the type of thing you want to stay away from. Unless you have to be speaking hypothetically. Come on, get into it. Hypothetically. I take you take t o based on the shades you've been around me for you know you, don't you? Max has been around me enough. I am not getting into that. I know. I do wonder, though, if you had to fight Warren Sapp, who would win? I think.

Donovan McNabb Donovan $50 Shannon Sharpe Keith Warren Sapp Mike Tyson 50 bucks J. J J McNab Roy Jones Paul 18 years both two guys Jack 100 two people Don Keyshawn

"And to do of the passing of conservative radio host. Rush limbaugh a champion to conservatives though. He did not get through without lots of controversy over many years. Here's abc's jonathan karl here. We are in new york city. The rush limbaugh program as wildly successful and influential as he was divisive and controversial rush. Limbaugh was the godfather of the offend. Anyone apologize to know on politics that got donald trump elected. President limbaugh been suffering from lung cancer. His wife announced his death at the start of his radio. Show today i like you very much. Wish rush was behind this golden microphone right now. Limbaugh basically invented modern right-wing talk radio spawning an army of bombastic imitators. He boasted a fighting liberals with half his brain tied behind his back and built a massive audience. Twenty million at the peak of his popularity. He derided feminists as feminazi. And when law student sandra fluke testified that health coverage should include contraception limbaugh's attack on her was as savage as it was sexist. She must be paid to have sex. What does that make her. Makes you a slut right. Prostitute he said. Nfl quarterback donovan mcnabb was overrated. Because he was black. The media has been very desirous at a black quarterback do wealth and when barack obama became a national political figure limbaugh promoted the racist birther myth in two thousand and one almost entirely lost his hearing but he learned how to read lips and had special implants placed in his head allowing him to hear again. A couple of years later limbaugh knowledged. He was addicted to painkillers. I am addicted to prescription pain. "And Donovan McNabb are beefing again. Let's listen to Donovan McNabb and T O Z Beef. Take another turn. Around the city as we get a episode of untold stories here is T O when we have big name on here. I didn't know 15 years later that you guys and I reconciled. No, I've tried. He's phony. I tried to be cordial with situation. I thought we have squashed it. But then you guys didn't interview and then all this surface resurfaces again. Just listen to some of the comments and statements about I pretty much run the opportunity to run it back leading up to the Super Bowl. All the questions within the media they were getting. Round. Was I going to make it back for him to be rid of the quarterback? The face of the franchise? I felt like he could have answered those questions. I guess for whatever reason, the statement of or he didn't need me to win the Super Bowl or play in the Super Bowl. I felt that was a slight. Why would somebody lie? There are teammates that said he threw up in the huddle. Personally, I didn't see it, but there are guys and I know that our teammates that I've talked to recently You said that they saw him throw up in the hotel. I've talked to teammates since then, and know for fact that he was out the night before he was out the night before. Yeah, he was out the night before before the biggest game pretty much of all of our careers. There's people that saw him out the night before, said he was drinking, and I think that attributed to him throwing up in the huddle. He's obviously had a history of condition problems. So for me, you know, knowing all this information I felt like that was irresponsible. So there is T O Who is calling out McNabb. For going out drinking the night before the Super Bowl. That is a big people. That is a freaking big meatball to put out there. And It's a really If that is true, that is one of the most damning things you could say about a player, let alone a quarterback in NFL history. That the night before the biggest game of their lives, the quarterback would be out drinking and be hung over for a football game of that magnitude. That is an enormous black mark on a resume and a career. And I don't think you could be willy nilly about that. I don't think that that is the type of suggestion you just pop up on bleacher report. Untold stories. This is why Terrell Owens. Is such a complicated figure in NFL history. Have young cats that come at me. On Twitter that say to go was the best wide receiver ever. Randy Moss was the best wide receiver ever. Theo should have never been stiffed out of the Hall of Fame the first couple of years. And I say Kids. Sit down. Watch Jerry Rice highlights. Get back to me. Jerry Rice is the goat. He is the greatest wide receiver ever and perhaps the greatest football player ever and was not a compiler. Jerry Rice was as dominant As Randy Moss or T O were on their best days on his best days. You may just remember Jerry Rice for the end of his career with the Raiders, or Ah, year with the Seahawks. Jerry Rice in 1987 set the record for most touchdowns in a season by an NFL player in a strike shortened year. Jerry Rice is still the only man to have more than 200 receiving yards in a Super Bowl. He was at his peak. Absolutely unstoppable the same way Randy Moss and T O were He was unstoppable. And in his prime unguardable. Now he would make the spectacular look routine while T O and Randy Moss made the spectacular look spectacular. T. Oh, absolutely belong to the Hall of Fame. But T O also was a destructive force within locker rooms and this type of example. Illuminates how and why. I obviously don't know. If Donovan McNabb was drinking the night before Super Bowl, you would think that that type of thing comes out..

30 60 90 With Mike Simmons

"Talking about things in the context of thirty, sixty, ninety, you guys have heard me talk about this kind of Nauseam. It's like a cue go since talking about thirty, sixty ninety again. What does this mean? This is? A PROJECT MANAGEMENT FOR DUMMIES WHY? Because I'm a dummy and I'm not. Certified I know the. I know who? Is Is. Project Management Book of knowledge or body of Knowledge Project Management Instituted Project Management Professional. Anyhow. That's not what this thirty sixty ninety. Why are we going? Accomplish the next thirty days? What are we going to accomplish in the next sixty days? What are we going to accomplish in the next ninety days? Notice I say next thirty next sixteen next ninety reason why next three next sixteen next ninety or important to me because I'm not GonNa just wait. The next period before I deliver that I'll anger try to deliver those things as soon as possible. But these are the things I want to accomplish in the next thirty days. Next Sixty S next ninety days you've heard me talk about this before in the design backward execute going forward. So if I know that I need to get a contract and in order to implant something I've going to have to get a contract. So my implementation gate is on. must do simple math your wonders in December. Center I might implementation. In order to implement on December I probably have to do some kind of proof of concept or some kind of soft launch is called the soft launch radio soft launch inside the organization to make sure things work technically. So back off. You thirty days to do that soft launch. So. In order to do that soft launch and thirty s actually got a contract in place. That means I doubt the contract in place by November I well, in order to get the contract in place by November, I gotTa have due diligence done. GotTa. Have whatever contracting process done now my take let's say that that takes fourteen days. Let's say it's really really vast. We're talking about a single page paper release things in and out the second do that fourteen days. So now by November fifteen, I've gotta have contract in hand of the person on the other end. Now I didn't factor in his what's between November fifteenth and December verse. The thanksgiving, right so got skin which is going to be a holiday period that I gotta work on. So I'm to back this up another seventy S. so now were November seven contract people were can hand. That's just if we're gonna hit everything on time. Now beyond that I've got to agree to the terms early in the contract well, that might take a couple of weeks depending on who is going to be involved. We have to give people from purchasing to get people from. Other groups do have to get the technical people involved who else needs to be part of. So what we want to have in here is an implementation plan that gets us all the way to December I kinda walks out what is that entire period look like so then we know that we at least we're nine point where we're talking about something. Let's say October first the likelihood getting that deal done is actually really really low. So if you WANNA deal done and you want to get something implemented I December probably need to be talking with those folks those folks in getting organized around things by the first of October. We don't have that place in the likelihood of US getting that deal done pretty low now if we got longer. Cell cycles than we've got to extend those in the thirty, sixty ninety becomes more challenging. So my first thirty days. My next sixty is next ninety days. Ninety days out might be we go ahead and we watch to the audience. So launch. By the end of sixties within that first sixty days, we have our soft launch plan we know who the stakeholders are. How things are going to be communicated Guy Maybe. We've got our success criteria established. Thirty years before. We've got our scoped out. And we got general buying or decision on putting these things. Now, we could plug in a lot of these things and to be honest with you. Hate when people say that. So here I go saying that I said that I can go three different occasions today including on another video recorded by what I? WanNa. DO IS WANNA. Look at this in the context of this could be three hours, six hours, nine hours. So the next three hours next six hours, nine hours I want to get in the next three days sixty days nine days next three weeks, six weeks, nine weeks. Very. Sixty ninety three months, six months, nine months. Three years, six years, nine years just break it up into smaller pieces of three so they can always start attacking those. Point time in this area and I'm not hitting on those marks I know where my risk is and I see I might have to adjust before I get too close right out here kind of work at something that's supposed to happen in ten days and the reality is we have been front of Trinity. So that's why thirty sixty ninety day are so important to me these do not need to be really complex couple ballpoints these milestones or mile markers that we want to get through the movies died posts in your journey from. One July or mcnabb drive from Austin Texas to Orange California.

Made ME WANNA keep playing through the first four x games because it's such a great series. But that being said I think I like x three and four little more than the signs because there's more stuff to collect in. That's fun to me. So I started x three as soon as I finish this. Go well. There's only trigger Sir I have I have and I love current trigger I I've had I did a I do a series again on the major called Retro Thunderdome and I did one again who's colonel trigger verses final fantasy six and while I like final six more krono trigger is objectively a better game so we analyze it but back to mega man. I The way to say about games that are quote unquote perfect. I don't think that's a perfect game exists the closest game that's perfect is Tetris because I believe is truly a perfect game I'm it's an elemental game and if you ever do attend episode I demands beyond Point. Okay. Then dope mini because I'll talk about it for an hour and a half you can't. It's a games of this caliber cannot be improved. They can only be iterative upon you can only build on the shell and that's how mega man x.

The State of 'The Black Quarterback': A Conversation with Donovan McNabb

"Over a decade ago my Business Partner Hall of Fame Quarterback Warren Moon. I sat down to discuss. How can we stop? The labeling of black quarterbacks are dream was for some day they're not to be that description at all. I was blessed to sit down with Donovan. Mcnabb one of his men teas and proteges to discuss the status and progression of black quarterbacks in the NFL. This is entrepreneurs. The playbook hey I wanted to have a conversation about black quarterbacks and as you know it's been a big part of my career has warned being a client and then a partner of mine are dream. Ten years ago was that nobody would ever say black quarterback right but I think you know to this day that they don't use it as much but I see a hangover when I look at you not be in the hall of fame or the way that Warren's marketed because they don't want that story told about six years in Canada right right and then there's just an under Tony it's unintentional. It's like even with the metoo movement. Things go on aren't intentional. It's social development social. How can we help? Expediter accelerate people understanding the equality. That exists I you have to appreciate I don't think we're at a point where we appreciate the level of evolution. That's going on and I say that because he wanted to mention. Hey you know you were kind of guy that passed the torch in them like no. The torch was already late for Marlin Bristow Gilliam and dumb and James James Harris and those particular guys. It was then but it wasn't one that was accepted and then. I think when you mentioned the warnings and the Randall Donovan. Before I thought it was a warm place you played when you played but it was. It was kind of a it. Wasn't it wasn't appreciate and when? I say that you know it was the yard that Warren Password worn was Dan Marino. We'll be talking about how radio because his numbers are comparable today without the six years in candidate. But I I think what we're seeing now is. We're seeing people start to understand the level of talent ability. How cerebral these kids are. They can play from the pocket and their leaves. These are all things that when they mentioned about. You'll see that in in the list now and says it has it's literally presidential but but the thing is you have to be able to take a step back and say you know what these kids can play the quarterback position. And when you look at the collegiate ranks then more black quarterbacks in the collegiate good ones so again it goes back to happen understand. What the level we go through and give it to appreciate what we're seeing you know. I do allow entrepreneurs and I talked about patients who and the need to be offended or or resentful. And it's so interesting with all those guys that you talk to your mom. Briscoe someone that in California. We do a ton of work with for years trying to get that movie made by the way you know. It's a really good movie and a really good story but nobody's really resentful and angry or offended. How do you have the patience to wait for the reality to come about that? All the top quarterbacks are going to be evaluated by their talent. Well here we have old. School mentality shouts and tell you them telling evaluators who still have that. Well he's black quarterback what are we just evaluated his ability. How intelligent he is. The family background would become as he comes out. It's nothing else that you need to focus on focus on his color. You only public hair. You have to focus on how he wants. You know the the focus needs to be more of the position and that's what we're seeing we have. We have been after the American insult that people are afraid to talk about now. He will say well. We don't need talking about though. He's the third every America's worries. They play of great ones. The greatest african-american quarterback did win. The might. I've worked with before because the caregiver Steve but this could be an opportunity for a guy who people love is ability. Yeah and then. They want to question the thing about his character. What are you looking at? Are you looking more deep into trying to fight the negative or how good this really with? Doug flutie yeah who has a lot of similarities to a lot of running quarterback and I said if you were an African American would have been your chances even to play in the CFL for how old he is. He said there won't be a chance ever but stories like that people boss. Yeah well that's what I wanted in talking to people over and and it's important for us to focus on that because it's not gonNA stop. I mean we're looking at. We've looked at five afterward quarterback just in the playoffs alone. Yeah headed had a chance to have to play it in title game and then it's GonNa continue to grow where mean who's to say feels doesn't get drafted in the next year or two from Ohio state. Then I was talking about him. It's exciting right now. You've been one of those guys. They continue to grind the path. I'm on your team. As far as I'm Jay Hall of Famer right here. More people need to be aware of the issues that we're facing and this guy needs to be in the hall of fame and many others because we're building a pipeline hall of famers. It's a shame that Warren Moon American and I appreciate the respect. I love warranty. That's right I n there. I appreciate your insight and honesty thanksgiving.

"mcnabb" Discussed on The Travel Wins

"They have within their sport like travel equipment. Those types of things so they fill up application. We Review it We bet the organizations and if it works on both sides so we try and help these kids perfect which as a parent myself of two athletic children. I fully appreciate that. Sports has gotten very expensive very expensive. It's almost it was almost the ridiculous point with soccer. Yeah it really is and the amount of travel that a lot of club teams. WanNa do with children now. I have an eleven year old son and we're already traveling with him. You know his schedule this year has a we have about three. California trips we have Texas Orlando and he's eleven fifteen year old and we'll be in Pennsylvania this year probably California four or five times. This year will head to Indianapolis will do Vegas. We will do Atlanta. So that's what our schedule looks like these kids. I know my daughter's best friend growing up was a really really high level soccer player And she was on her club team. She was on the junior Olympic developmental team. And all that and I talked to her one time at forever house the Hey san what's going on. I go so I want you on the road. And she goes she starts stinking and she'll be ready to tell you what I'm home. Yes God yeah. We actually travel with my daughter's high school team to Orlando this year over the Christmas break. So it's it's constant a lot of travel The kids love it. It's taxing on the parents both five. I'm wise but you know we do what we do for our kids and you know and result you hope. They accomplish their goals so as parents. We just suck it up. You're married Donovan mcnabb. Yes but but in my opinion on your side of the family's a little bit more athletic yeah yeah. Yeah he likes to take credit for some of it. But it's really my family. I was GonNa say you got you. GotTa Win on your side of the. Yes yes yes see again. We do pro basketball players in pro hockey players. Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah See. We started young in our family. Does the show that you know the importance of sports and how it can affect more children absolutely into their adult life. Yeah absolutely I think in our family and Donovan. I have been together since we're in college. So all my niece and nephews who are now professional athletes and Olympians. They saw what we were doing in college and Donovan is a great mentor to them. Now like they'll call him for things. They bypass me now. They're like you know they come up with their agents or marketing and that type of thing and they immediately call him so it's great that they have him for those things but you know he was supporting them where they were little kids on the ice. He's like you know feeding him. Nothing about hockey. Now's a huge. And because you know he was going to say his five year old niece and nephew play hockey and so it was. You know great for them. They they really had no clue how famous he was. You know it's good to me. That's kind of bouncing sports like I'd never do anything about Lacrosse To both my daughters decided they want to start playing high school. You got a crash course. Yeah Oh yeah and then so yeah. I haven't really played a little bit in college. Like next level. Yeah and but but because I've always believed that I played sports growing up obviously one. Obviously I guess. I played sports from the age of seven all the way through high school. And it does. It gives you how how to build build friendships. How To build team? How to respect for your coaches. So it's just so much about this life. You learned through sports. It's through the challenges you go through the highest below. You know just teach you how to handle situations and handle it with dignity and grace That's I think one of the biggest things that I learned from sport. You know. Sometimes you just can't wear your emotions on your sleeve when things go wrong just like. How are we going to handle this? How are we gonNA fight through this and I think that is such a big lesson learned from sports? And it's gotTa be interesting to me because you know slouching basketball played a little bit a little bit. I played I actually grew up My family was a big proponent of multi sport athletes so I played basketball. I played soccer. I play volleyball. I read track all through high school So why parents kept US busy but busy. Are you wear the less trouble you can get into so I basically do the same? My old kids they look like. Do we have to go to that? We're GONNA yeah we keep them busy. No no you have four children. Yes I think. Goes what fifteen? Yeah fifteen twins. Boy Girl twins that are eleven and then Ten year old. I mean that's your in the heart of sports world right now. Oh Yeah we Soccer on Saturdays. I probably will leave my house at seven in the morning. Probably won't get home till about five or six and that's just with soccer. I've got one and soccer right now. two in basketball what and softball and then. I got a house league going on that. I'm running right now. So we're just yeah. We're all the house. Weekends are walk. Yeah so I was GonNa ask you the care sports update. Here's a great thing but was what kind of conversations did you have a Donovan about? I mean you're already busy So Strange Foundation you know with your non non existent free time off and we're kind of conversation. Did that happen well? He's usually like just. Let me run fakes. There's usually like what is this gonNa cost me like you know. This is something you're passionate about that. Let's do it and he's all on board with it because he actually helps coach with my daughter's Club team so he sees a lot of the challenges. That families face Just in Paying the play and then the travel costs associated with it. So he gets it. He understands that how taxing is. I've families you know parents will spend all this money. You know to send their kids off for the summer. They don't get to see them play a lot of times because they can't afford to travel because they've put everything into those kids so he understands the financial burden of sports and so he's like this. Is something necessary? He gets it. So there's been times in our organization where we've had kids who've made the teams and it's like we don't think we can swing it so a Lotta Times you'll have a few parents who write a check and say hey here we'll cover that kid. We'll cover the kids travel. So we see those things all the time and you get to see the joy of it because we've had kids who've never been on an airplane before Yeah who's you know? We've playing California. They've never seen the ocean before we're five hours from California like but we get to give them that opportunity so a Lotta Times through. Sports opens up so many things for kids. I know when I was playing. You know basketball took me around the world. I may not have had. The opportunity came from a family of eight kids so my parents could go. Hey you know. Go take a gap year. Travel like no knowledge. You need to get a scholarship and then you could travel the world with that. And that's how I saw the world. Initially things are a little bit different now but early on. That's how I traveled do sport. That was oh. I'm always amazed at the kids now. 'cause I I I think the world is a lot smaller And it seems like it's easier to travel now. It isn't My kids they don't know what not travelling Nagar but I started traveling them when they you know. My daughter is probably about eight weeks old and my family lives in Canada so I was like. Let's go visit grandparent. My just know how to go travel. They know how to go through project. Tsa All that good stuff. Ideally I'd like to go to Pennsylvania Illinois You know places where we have community Those would probably my next places to branch out to and then eventually be in all the states in within that. I mean you're not you're going to have to go to the states absolutely you know and then well like I said you have four kids. GonNa husband soccer program. She got all sports for his your pilot on that place. Pretty Nice I like it. Yeah I like to keep busy. So but we really try and do one parent home one parent on Just so that we have enough drivers for smell the drive and just I just think kids need Kinda have someone at home all the time that hold them accountable and that type of thing so we try and balance that it gets a little hard sometimes. Because you know my son travels or my daughter travels a lot of times. We both want to go and the little kids. They're like we don't want to go sit in the gym and watch games so that gets a little hard sometimes but summertime. You go visit grandparents for a couple of days while Mom Dad. It's a whole new world that role in all the the I guess. The legal restrictions are required being five. Oh One C. And all that that too that too. It's it's been a crash course and a lot of things for us accounting and you know. Yeah I'm Evan doing it it's awesome. I know we're doing a great so I'm all in it. That's exactly how I feel about the podcast because like I said I have my day job and so I'm calling my daughter's twenty four going. Hey M website design. She's GonNa go to Youtube Video. Found for you. Okay okay. Well that's the thing that younger kids they're just like just do this. Do This. Case slowdown backup. Yeah even after this. I need this. And she's like okay. Super Bowl XXXIX Recap: Patriots vs. Eagles

"The game we most fans remember. Andy Reid foremost is super bowl. Thirty nine and especially how the game finished up in the last six minutes. But let's set things up here just a little bit coming into Super Bowl all thirty nine. Both the Patriots and Eagles were the best teams in their conference. Both number one seeds both had tremendous seasons. The Patriots went fourteen and two that season season as they were looking for their third super bowl title in four years. Obviously Tom Brady was just beginning his run as the greatest quarterback of all time but he'd already established himself as a two time superbowl champion. And so the odds were stacked against the eagles a little bit in the Super Bowl although the eagles were far and away the best team team in the NFC that season having gone thirteen and three really they were essentially a one loss team. They lost to the Pittsburgh steelers in the middle of the season but they had clinched the number for one seat in the conference with two games left in the season and basically didn't play anybody in the final two games and that's why they went thirteen and three. The Eagles probably could have been a fifteen in one team if they'd actually played their starters in the final two games of the season but thirteen and three is nothing to sneeze at and it was certainly good enough to get them the number one seed in the playoffs The Eagles defeated the Minnesota Vikings rather handily in the NFC divisional round and then in the NFC championship game. As you heard me talk about on the last edition of BG and memories when we took a look back at the ten greatest moments in Eagles NFC championship game. History when they dispatch the Falcons pulling away in the second in half winning that game. Twenty seven to ten on New England also had a pretty easy time in the postseason. They won their divisional round game against the Indianapolis Colts. It's twenty two three and then they won the AFC title against the steelers. Forty one to twenty seven. Bill Belichick Charlie. Weis the offensive coordinator at that time for New England Oakland and on the side. Of course you had Andy Reid calling the plays and Jim Johnson The defensive coordinator at the Blitz Happy Defensive Coordinator one of the big story lines. The the biggest story line going into Super Bowl thirty nine was of course the health of terrel owens who was hurt against the Dallas cowboys a few weeks before the end of the season He had A. He broke his leg on a horse collar. Tackle that has now been deemed illegal because of that hit but as the game started getting closer it started to appear as though Teo Jio would be able to get on the field and Tara loans for the Eagles in two thousand and two thousand four was the difference. He took the eagles from being a very very good team. Urine in your out to an almost unbeatable team That season in fourteen games really was just thirteen games because he was hurt early in that game against the cowboys he caught seventy any seven passes for twelve hundred yards and fourteen touchdowns for the eagles that season for the first time in his career. Donovan mcnabb had a true number one receiver seaver to throw the ball to but the eagles offense performed quite well whether well without Tara loans in the two playoff games but to beat the Patriots it was clear the eagles goals. We're GONNA need him and he managed to get. He managed to get back in time six weeks after surgery to repair his broken right ankle. He was on the the field for the start of Super Bowl. Thirty nine Donovan. mcnabb had his best season. An Eagle in two thousand and four mostly because terrel owens was on the outside and he and mcnabb was outstanding in two playoff wins against the Vikings and the Falcons mcnabb had always struggled in those NFC title game but he played very well against Atlanta Atlanta. One or the other storylines that Freddie Mitchell was running his mouth. He came into the game talking a lot of smack about safety Rodney Harrison telling Harrison that he he was gonna have something for him and then in the game you know Freddie Mitchell caught one pass which late in the fourth quarter and Harrison had Two interceptions as we'll get to here in just Dominica and of course the Patriots were looking to officially become a dynasty. They had beaten the rams had upset. The Rams in the Super Bowl three years before they had failed to get back to the super bowl the year after that. But in two thousand three or just after the two thousand three season they beat the Carolina Panthers and one of the most underrated super bowls in NFL NFL history. And we're looking for their third title in four years. Andy Reid looking for that first title after finally getting the Eagles back to the Super Bowl for the first time since nineteen eighteen eighty so that was the setup as the teams gathered on the field in Jacksonville Florida for Super Bowl. NBA 2020 Predictions

"About My tween twenty bold predictions now. This isn't just for the regular season. This is for the off season. This is the beginning of next season to these addiction that I think that potentially could happen. I'm going to say them here today. And maybe you can agree with me some. You may think this crazy in some you might agree with. We'll have to see my first pro. Prediction is that both L. A.. Neither one of the LA teams will not make the Western Conference finals. I think a team will beat them or since the clippers. Don't take care too much about seeding in the Lakers. Stay the number one seed if the clippers land four or five. They'll play the clippers in the second row. They'll play Lakers around. which would men? 'cause obviously semifinals matchup US and other Western Conference finals match. But I also feel like there may be a team that could upset me maybe Houston is probably the most likely that could upset one of the LA teams and. I think that they're going to keep them from making the the the Western Conference finals. I know a lot of people were expecting that to happen. A lot of people are wanting to happen. I'm sure it will be great for the Lee but I really think that that's something in my opinion that I think is going to happen. That's one of my first. Bold predictions of the twenty twenty season in further on my eh prediction is that the Golden State Warriors will form another super team. Now I don't know if there's going to be with Jaanus. It could be a cry towns because Golden State is monitoring situation but Golden State clearly knows. Listen with the way the League is if we want to be on topic how can we need to get an update US another super team together and I think that they're definitely trying very hard to get another another star player in there now. I do like that. Probably means that's the end of Draymond Green. But I think that's what they're aiming for taming to get their aiming to get another star in there to see to come back with clay and to come back with Steph potentially really they can make you trade for star because they if they do get a top three lottery pig. deathly do not be surprised. If they try to make a trade with that pick honestly they honestly could have just picked up an amazing asset for them because they could use that as trade bait in. That's good trait rate. You know maybe the team star is disgruntled. Maybe you never know. I mean this isn't somebody would think about like the sons have another bad year. We'll we'll give you our top pick and another guy. And we want Devon Booker. Obviously Yona how that work I mean you know. They're kind of doing the right now. And the end of the Russell even yeah no. We Really Devon Booker may be a better player Neanderthal Russell. But that's definitely a prediction I think could potentially happen. I think that the warriors warriors will form another super team. But it's not going to be as top heavy instrument of Kevin Durant who like the second best player in the League. That's why think if they got Jaanus it would be stacked because of state Stephan Klay can play like they play and then they completely put a better supporting cast around. Then you could say okay. Yeah this team is going to be very tough to beat. Even laker teams have a team. They may be looking up to but it will have to see because if they get any towns houses. This is a great player but we don't view him as view when Kevin Durant was there which means even though it would be very top heavy west conference. But that's when also and my pro predictions one of my other pro predictions. Are I think that revenue from the C.. BA will increase which will lead to more players undeserving of big major contracts. Getting big major contracts. I'm going to say any names. But it's like okay. Well I'll say this because I don't know if he's GonNa get it but there are people who are sometimes wonder now dre walgreens supposed to be a free agent this offseason offseason Draymond Green. We know he's not a guy who's going to score points we can do live. And he's a great gadget player. I would say but some people wonder. Would somebody pay draymond green the Max would they give draymond green that Max deal. That is something they definitely wonder about and like a question. Like why would you give you Max. If if there's more money to be spent draymond green could potentially ask for Max and if you like laundry a month you might give them close to it. I mean we already have players now. who try to sign that? First Max deal then take a shorter deal. Just didn't end up getting of that. Ten Year supermax dill. But you know it's one of those those things where I think that this will lead to more players being signed overpaid and I mean you obviously can see more cat room. It can lead the teams being in very weird financial situations with cap every team six Performing up to expectation and then you played a lot of guys a lot of money who may have never actually deserve the money in the first place so. I think that that's going to be something that's going to be interesting another addiction I have is. I think that James Harden will make it to the NBA Finals Cheer. I know that's pretty big. That basically means you're saying he's GonNa beat one or both La Teams. I think James Harden. This would be the best year for him to do it. I think right now this I flew. This is his best year do it. So I'M GONNA go ahead mcnabb. Oh predicts names hard. It's GonNa make the finals. These the rockets are GonNa make the finals. This may be shocking to you. But that's how I feel. I feel like that. Jr potentially do it. I feel like if he was able to average at least thirty in the playoffs and Russell could give him about twenty twenty three. That's fifty three between the two players and they have some good supporting cast. You can't forget about. PJ Tucker can't forget about Erik. Gordon Clink Appel. You definitely feel like they have all the potential attention in the world so potentially be a top team and so I would not be surprised if they end up being the top team they think they can be and making it to the NBA NBA finals. This year in basically just creating just such a great agree moment for the city Houston also another prediction. I think Diane if he comes back as soon as they say he come back. We'll still win rookie of the year. I think Zaylon has all the talents. Be A star of Zion. Comes back in balls out in just twenty points a game in gives you a lot of highlight plays. I think he will be able to squeeze out winning rookie year only only playing half of the year again. That's a pretty bold prediction but as I've anybody can do a Zairean can all takes his cause. Remember even the Luca one owned by a lot last year. You trae young exciting second half which made it interesting and don't be. We don't feel like John Moran is doing with Luca Danni last year so it's not as far fetched is not as it's not like oh it's completely impossible for Luca played so well and then trae young play well in the New Year but he's still play. Okay well it's like John Mirant is playing. Maybe the best right now. But he's not playing at local level from last year so of Zion can have maybe a trae young like surge in the second half of the season. I think he'll go ahead and win the rookie year. But it all depends on when he gets back. 'cause I do if he didn't get back to maybe mid February with that he wouldn't. It's only two months left in the season. At that point. He has to probably get back to move in the next two weeks and then just start going on a tear from game one because dial is full practice recently so he's clearly about to get there. Obviously you've seen him take jumpers you've seen him dunk Donc so I definitely things I on can win the rookie year if he gets back in time and my last bowl prediction is that the Atlanta Hawks will add a star player. This off season. I don't know who but I feel. They're gonNA add some but I feel like some of the issues they've had I flipped. They're going to add a star. Because I feel like you need to especially to make trae WANNA stay there because rotations rumblings that he might and I wanna stay. That may be something that you may want to do. If Your Hawks Front office you need to add some talent in their yep some good young talent but you're going to you know how it is as league view in a win you're gonNA have to give up that good young talent for solidified star. Obviously I feel like trays untouchable. But maybe Kevin Heard. Or maybe you D Andre One hundred maybe a cam reddish maybe push them shelby John Collins and I think they're gonNA make a trade for a proven star in this league and we'll have to see whoever that star is how far the Atlanta Hawks may potentially get because of it but that's it for me thank you for listening listening to the GMC football basketball podcast on the GMC podcast network. If you please remember to subscribe was that really helps us and also ride review and also Father Wilson's social media instagram twitter and

"This story. Caught my eye. Donovan mcnabb. Former longtime Philadelphia Eagles quarterback had a Cup of coffee with the Redskins. And I think the Vikings to right corners. The vikings. He tells TMZ sports, of course that he is a hall of Famer quote, my number speak for itself by numbers are better than Troy Aikman, but he has Super Bowl rings and he played with hall of famers as well. I'm not saying something down. Mcnabb has had some issues away from the game since he retired Courtney. But is he a hall Famer I would say, yes, I think he was one of the best quarterbacks of his generation. I mean threw for two hundred thirty four touchdowns over thirty seven thousand yards. He played in the Super Bowl and win the Super Bowl but played in the Super Bowl. All the years the eagles made the NFC championship game because I feel like the pro football hall of fame. Like at the end of the day. That's really all it is. It's a museum. I like museums. But to enjoy museum there has to be things in there for you to view. So like for me, it's not a big deal of someone is a borderline hall of Famer like you've always had this argument about ally. Manning hall of Famer is not a hall of Famer corny I'd say put him in put him in. So the guy is close to getting in eventually he should make it. And I just think McNabb. If you look at the overall body of work, I think is good enough to be in there. He made it to the NFC championship five times and. Yeah. Made it to the Super Bowl once it's not easy. I think people like way honestly, they way Super Bowl appearances in Super Bowl wins, probably a little bit more than they should if I if I can go out on a limb and say that I think, you know, the, the compares in here with Troy Aikman. He's really been a dog on a bone about Aikman probably because Troy got in on a first ballot hall of fame in two thousand six and their numbers are very similar, but it's not this whole TMZ thing in that he said that the other day, that's not the first time that that's happened which is interested in that, that's the comparison. And that's the level he wants to be judged at similar stats in the same number very similar number of games played McNabb. I mean didn't have Emmett Smith though in, in his backfield. So I mean he rushed for two thousand four hundred forty three yards more than Troy Aikman. And I think the interesting stat here is like you were talking about the level of play at which he did Edie Edie plate of game consistently. He's one of four. Quarterbacks with more than thirty thousand passing yards. Two hundred touchdown passes three thousand rushing yards in twenty rushing touchdowns. There's three other quarterbacks all three are in the hall of fame that have that Fran tarkenton John Elway and Steve Young. I mean is he a first ballot guy? Maybe I don't. But, but I mean there's just too much is put into that as well. I mean if as long as a guy eventually goes in, then I'm fine with that. I don't want someone waiting twenty five years. That's too long, but McNabb should go in, in, in a couple of years. And that's the end of it. I mean you can't you can't write the story. This is always the litmus test for me, Courtney like can you write the story of the NFL from this year to this year without mentioning this player? Can you talk about the NFL from two thousand to two thousand ten two thousand eleven maybe without without Donovan McNabb having a very prominent part of your? Story. And I think the answer to that is no. I think Donovan McNabb in that generation in his era was a player that played it a hall of fame level. So I don't know why I don't know why people would be up tight about letting him in. I think not wanting a Super Bowl was unfortunate. He did have the vomit on the field in Jacksonville out that was the first rule I ever covered thirty nine he didn't play great t the best player on the field that day for the eagles. But regardless, what he did for that. Franchise way different the NFL no matter what's happened since off the field. I think the guy should be in many brought through he kind of carried through a generation of quarterbacks that had that multi-facetted part of their game. The Michael vick's Donovan McNabb you're going to be putting all those guys in the same category. Just in terms of what they were able to do on the field that sometimes maybe we looked too much into statistics. Maybe we looked too much into, you know, individual Super Bowl wins when you're not looking at the supporting cast around. Him. I mean yeah he had a really a couple of really good teams in Philadelphia. There's no denying that. But to say that he had exactly what Troy Aikman did in all those years, that, that the Cowboys went to the Super Bowl in one off three of them in all three appearances. I just don't think that's a fair argument. It's, it's that was a different time. That was a different team. And I guess if he wants to look at traffic, men's numbers. That's cool. But Aikman, I mean, talk about a no brainer. I mean, coordinating the way he played in those Super Bowls members who were both he won for the Cowboys. You knew he was going in. So I don't think anyone needs to question the legitimacy of Troy Aikman's hall of fame credentials. I don't think that's what McNabb is getting at per se. But he definitely isn't portraying Aikman in the most positive light weight thoughts about him. Sure, why if they had some sort of beef that I wasn't aware of. I mean Detroit's say something about McNabb when he was playing for the Redskins and a FOX telecast that rubbed McNabb the wrong way. I, I dunno also too is, you know, look, I think at the end for McNabb it wasn't great. The Washington thing was kind of a disaster. Remember there was that whole contract fake contract, where it's ninety million dollar contract. And he turns out like four million was guaranteed or something like that, so yeah, it ended poorly for him. But for most players, it usually ends fairly poorly. There's very few guys that right out on the sun under the sunset like how Tom Brady is going to end his career probably. When I look at what, what did I'm sorry. What McNabb did with the eagles with Andy Reid all those NFC championship appearances? And if that's not a hall of fame, caliber type career, I'm not sure what is well, it's interesting to factor in the Aira he played in versus the era that Troy Aikman play it. And I think that that's. Huge thing that you have to consider when you're looking at who's a first ballot hall of Famer who's going to get into hall of fame period. So like think about the two thousands and the generation that he played in so you know, towards the end of his career as you were mentioning two thousand ten eleven somewhere around there, Tom Brady Peyton Manning, Ben Rothlisberger Philip rivers, Aaron Rodgers Matt Ryan all those guys have been instill are outside of Peyton Manning under center, planning quarterback do all of them deserve to get into the hall of fame. I'm not sure so I think that if you're and I mean, I know that you probably not going to judge this based on the next group to get in early guys that are still playing, but I think that you should to a degree I think that he should be judged amongst the guys that came before him. And the ones that are still playing the guys like Tom Brady was gonna, you know, it's an obvious one, but there's some of those other names, Philip rivers, Matt Ryan, do they deserve to be in the conversation, too. Philip rivers should be in the hall of fame. There's no doubt about it. Statistically speaking, I mean if they're all in that same category. I'm with you. I think that, you know honor the game games best, I think that sometimes we try to quantify this by making it so elite that, you know, it's not honoring guys who were just on the cusp of that. I mean if they helped write the story of the NFL in that area, they deserve to be in consideration. Absolutely more. On the NBA and the Eastern Conference finals coming up next Dickerson hood, this is ESPN radio.

"That's ridiculous. Hey, it's unfortunate things happen. I know but then you went out and did what you did with Andy Reid for sure. What would you say is the pinnacle of your time in Philadelphia? Donovan, do you know what it was? It was finally getting over the hump and making. So, you know, we have battled so much in a championship innoc- championship when any NFC's and finally get over the hump that I think, is the was the pinnacle for all of us at that particular time when Andy redo for you what was your relationship loud, me to be myself, but many, so many coaches they draft their quarterbacks and make the robotic you know, this is the this is the way that it's been run. It's it's been proven that it works. We have to do this, this, this. No Andy allowed me to come in learning offense. And he said, hey, you know what are you comfortable? You understand what I want you to be you. If once they're throat, the ones not there twos. Not there threes, not they're usually likes. And as we continue to progress together mature the offense, then we can kind of get creative at times, you know, one two threes, not there. Hey, I move go back to three. See if one is available, and then we started to play a little playground football, who's the most talented guy you played with. Probably. I mean it's tough, you know, we had the bright, Westbrook's obviously, you know what? T O brought to us. We had some great office of and on the defensive end Brian Dawkins. Giovane Kerr's Br Jeremiah Trotter the list goes on. But I would just say it's hard to say but when you have a weapon behind you that not only can run the football pick up blitzes and a football on backfield. That's an added dimension that every quarterback would love to have. It's interesting. Donovan McNabb here on the rich Eisen show what you just described on any redid for you. It just seems like it's being replicated with Mahomes, he's, I mean when talk about guys don't with his left on about, no look throwing and just in the second season and his and his first full as the as a starter, right? Yes, it just seems that that's what McNabb is. I mean, that's what you know, read is seeing, and moans. And he's doing right now. It's funny you bring a Patrick Mahomes, because some of the things that he's, he's been doing at this particular point. He did a little bit Texas Tech, you know. Scrambles and on a sixty five seventy yards downfield right where everyone said, oh, that's just not football. Well, when you see it on the center stage and Tariq, he'll or Travis Kelsey, Kareem hunt. The list goes on guys that are on the other end of it. Now you start to appreciate his game a little bit more. Right. I mean, I think we've seen it so much from the Randall Cunningham, z- to, to Michael vick's the list goes on all the mobile quarterback Aaron Rodgers doesn't himself. But with Aaron does it it's, it's it's beautiful. It's like poetry emotion. When, when Patrick does it it's like oddest playground football. No, it's the same thing. It just has a little bit more possess to it. So you live in Phoenix now. So you had a front row seat. Obviously to the contrary selection Zona cardinal. Do you think he's going to pan out in the NFL? I believe there's a three year process unless let's at three a process. Maybe Steve Cavs not there for the whole whole duration, but I think they have to build from within for him to be successful. That means up. Front have some have some pretty good blockers in passing game. And also be able to run the football with David Johnson. Give him a weapon on the outside. Besides layer fish, Joe. I love Larry. That's like my brother, my younger, brother. But at this point is almost like a turtle. Well, they on. They also moved him inside too. That's when you need someone on the outside Christian Kirk, and they did. They drafted a whole bunch of kids. We'll see which one might be able to take top here, but I mean you need to get a vet, who has proven that he can get off press coverage and create separation..

"Five time NFC championship games in his career. The all time leader in Philadelphia Eagles pass attempts, completions yards and passing touchdowns. But for the moment as he pointed out soccer, dad. Yes, that's me. Donovan J McNabb. Yes. In the in the house in the house. Syracuse is in the house right now. Syracuse is definitely the house, we're deep. I know that I, I to tell you, I was just talking moments ago about how we kind of I met over eagles, Cam on NFL total access. I would fire up eagles Cam for you. I was first introduced to the magic of John donavan j McNabb. When you ran without shoes into the end zone in the big house. Absolutely stuck it to my. We'll say how did you feel about that was pissed like this guy never heard of? All due respect from Syracuse is going to run in the big house without shoes on and beat the wolverines was That was a she? couple of weeks. Did you purposely take on tires shoes for that? No just to show score without the shoe just happened to fly off. You, you bring that up because I was the first to for my shoes to kind of come off or explode before Zion did it. Unfortunately, I wasn't rewarded with one hundred million dollars time contract. So I guess they, they went with velcro a after then, or, you know. You know, I just unfortunately it just didn't work for me just adds to the legend. I'm glad you brought it up because now people go back and watch the VHS. They will. Temperature September twelfth nineteen ninety eight so it was early on that really that's back in the day when when you guys have lost Notre Dame first week. And then we came in and just yeah, more fuel to divide. I will tell you that was back in the day. Was that pre pre BCS? Right. That was the first year the first year the BCS 'cause Don we got job at home against Tennessee that absolutely absolutely. The phantom passing affairs co on peerless price list, price willow. Yeah. Good names were thrown out right now t Martin, how did Tennessee quarterback. Okay. It's enough. Syracuse how well hold how, how did how did you wind up out? Syracuse. How'd you get? There was recruited by Paul pass Colonia. Kevin Rogers offense was very similar the came up Chicago to recruit young young kid at among Chroma high school that they thought we'd be able to carry the torch from Marvin graves that have been able to kind of light for me. And his name was Donovan McNabb and I can't tradition, by the way, I thought you're about to go third person on me right there. No. But you're gonna go and make they, they pulled Donovan Atta Chicago would've Samuel Jackson. So you go to Syracuse. All right. We all remember your draft. It was exciting. You know everybody wants to talk about the booze. But I look, I look beyond that, you know, it was an exciting time for me. You know, it was the first of first chapter in the book of Donald that had a hurt though. I mean, I I've even Hurley reason it didn't as much as because I've never been booed. So I didn't know what was going on Ricky Williams, too. Yeah. Ricans. Agreed gab. It isn't great days in college. Now, this is at Radio City Music hall. Yes. So they drove all the way up the turnpike just a boo..

"I do love night games. The issue is, is, you know, the team that plays that game on the road. What if they've got the early window game the next week? It's not that bad. It's not that it's called in general. So at six thirty, I think it's going to add some interest, I think it will add some interest. So, and the Commissioner of the NFL spoke about tyreek hill for the first time since everything that went down during draft week and then what happened after draft week. It's just the only thing about it that I see is what this young child that's involved with the hills tyreek and his significant other his wife is just so bunkers and everything you're hearing, is that this kid is caught in the middle of the worst. He said, she said imaginable. That the video the audio of what tyreek hill to say was so horrible. And then what the. Wife in question is being accused of from tyreek hill side is so horrible. I've just feel so bad for this kid that the NFL says they're going to wait to speak to hill until the police finish their business because, as you know, the case has been reopened there. He's not even on the Commissioner's exempt list yet. I don't even know what the heck to think the only thing I'm thinking right now is the NFL should just get out of the business. The NFL front office needs to the next collective bargaining agreement. Get out of the business of figuring out what to just put it off on some independent committee that the league and the players association want to have done. That the players should have some sort of say here in what's going on, because I can't make heads or tails out of it, every single time, I think tyreek hill should be thrown out. I read something saying what's going on here? Everybody should read read up about it. Eight four four two four riches. The number two dollar here on the show, Chris, there's a whole bunch of other things for your news update, including drew Brees talking about his playing future. I got lots of news. Okay. And Donovan McNabb is just settled in on the rich Eisen show, green room couch. How are you five? You know what I'm doing standing taking a look at some of the apparel here. Let's go adds to short format. For me. It looks good on may question. We've got a basketball football pundits of people to t shirt Jay Glazer's MVP where there's a warrior, there's a way t shirt and in a baseball bat. I can deal with the rest of that. There's a little worried about the shark week deal. It's okay. Don't worry not only aggressive as you know, from all the years of me chatting with you Donovan. I don't buy you know, that us I'll still say what I could do. I love it. All right. We're going to get down of me here into a microphone in front of his face. Your beard is so long it is. "Have you do you think any differently than you did on draft night where on this podcast last week Kuyper who's been team? Daniel Jones is not as bad as you think. Saying I can't get my head around the idea that he goes at six now they've got him out there working PR teams got him before we could get him at seventeen. No, you feel any differently about that pick. I said all along that when we got closer you can't lose him. And we talked about trading up. Is there a trade grooten drilled into my head ever? You can't just trade up unless there's a partner and the Redskins at fifteen divisional rival. So they really believe they had to believe this at Daniel Jones as a franchise quarterback. Okay. That they can't live without his if you're seventeen you wait you're saying here like drew lock they could live without trulock lost your lock. So if you're lock hits, not a genius move. It's just that other teams pass them when they got him. Just like when Russell Wilson fell to Seattle third credit for taking them thirty one other teams didn't but it wasn't like they took him in the first round. So again with with this situation here, you know, I don't know. I think I think they've Gettleman felt like I cannot risk not having. Daniel Jones parts football team moving forward. And the only way I can guarantee that is taken at six seventeen would have been too risky. And if I don't care if you like him, you don't like what the more fans hate them. More chance he has to be successful. Okay. Remember when Ricky Williams over over Donovan McNabb. Ricky williams. Everybody's booing. Sometimes fans are wrong. Sometimes I remember Mike quick when it was very disappointed that Tuttle forehead. We're going way back on that. So you got to be fifty and above understand what I'm saying here. That's not what we're dealing with. But sometimes, but I always referred to the seventies. What can you do? But the answer your question, Chris I looking back on it. I don't have a problem with. Hey, todd. Here's the follow up question. Daniel Jones in two thousand nineteen. I came out of my ear. And I went to get hit my top top your hand. I the top of my hand on this thing. "He is one of the most passive aggressive thin-skinned athlete I've ever seen and that that a good job getting out and get it out of more power to Zach for doing it. But I just don't understand why. Donovan McNabb would even go there other than he feels worried nervous that he's going to be you served as the best ego quarterback over the last fifteen twenty twenty-five years, you certainly could go back to jaws when he went to the Super Bowl some people think Raila Cunningham, who's nickname at one point is was the ultimate weapon. Certainly Donovan had more postseason success than Randall had in his time in Philadelphia. He's the best quarterback the eagles a bad. But Carson Wentz could go by them. Like, he's standing still and Donovan have doesn't want to see that happen. So he decided throw verbal blast. Donovan at Carson Wentz this week. Didn't get where Donovan McNabb was coming from. I one quick call before we get out of dodge. We'll make it can't from South Carolina allocates. Hey, how's it going? Good. You pretty good got off work. Yeah. You were talking about your Rowsley in a hurry talked about Don Majerus, and we're talking about the raiders I doing done here. You know, been watching football. I believe I started watching. Oh, five insane. I mean, I, you know, a impact to the younger generation, but for the guys, you know, like you could have been around watching the watching all go down. It might just kind of seemed like like, I don't know. The putting on. I don't know. But finder, you know, intrigue the rest of the league, maybe date them. But I think as far as the Cottam Ersan goes, I know Josh Rosen. I really don't expect good. I think he could be dated and Murray my longer because when it comes to run quarterbacks. Would it be shown in the past fifteen years other than Cameron Russell Wilson? Yeah. Other then we'll they don't count. I mean, they obviously do count. But I mean, those guys were, you know, getting rational, I feel like maybe Michael Vick. But we haven't seen one him and Sam and Kyle Mario by the way to a ton of touchdown pass. What he was at Oklahoma case you didn't pick up on that running is a big part of his game. But it's not the only part of his game. And oh, I definitely like Kyla Murray? Chance to be a better all around winning quarterback in the NFL than Josh Rosen. Thanks to hit can Tyler on the other side of the glass. I'll be back for Sunday action.

"Donovan McNabb will join us. We'll get his opinions on most of the quarterbacks. We'll try to squeeze. It has been as we came to the National Football League. We'll talk a little Russell Wilson contract extension. What's going on with Big, Ben? And Aaron Rodgers will Cuyler Murray the number one overall pick in the draft. And also get his thoughts on one of his former teams in the ES eagles. Donovan McNabb coming up in fifty five minutes. I have to talk some baseball though, right now. And something annoyed me from this past week. We saw a backflip happen and know before you call in at eight five five two one two four CBS and see how are you doing? But the bat flip I'm not going with the foot. I love the bat flip baseball should embrace entertainment excitement personality and the bat foot. I'm annoyed with the response to the bat foot where a pitcher. Brad Keller elects to throw at Tim Anderson. If you don't wanna player to bat foot. I've said this a thousand times. Here's an idea. Don't let him hit the home run. If you don't want someone to celebrate. If you find it obnoxious, if you find that he's showing you up when he throws the back. And show some emotion don't allow the home run. And then if you strike out, Tim Anderson. You can celebrate as well. You could scream at Tim Anderson. You could fist pump do whatever you want. To me, though, it's any Arctic. To throw at someone because you're annoyed that they did a backflip foot because they took you yard. And I get it old school baseball. People are going to say, well, it's supposed to be. Sorry. It's why the sports fading. It's why it's not as popular as it. Once was because the NBA there's excitement even though I opened up a show tonight. Tell you the game stink. There's at least some excitement, and that's in the way that the players do market themselves. You want to look at social media. How big social media's well players are smart. They're so active on social media. You can easily recognize them because of their social media presence. And oh, yeah. The gifts. Well, you see Steph curry when he puts up a shot. He's so confident turns around and starts walking the other way gif young people enjoy that young people see that they re tweet it. It goes viral. Russell Westbrook staring someone down it goes viral. Now the product in the first round may be boring, but they find a way to cause some type drama and some type of entertainment. If you want to take a look at the NFL, and they add a problem for a while embracing celebrations. They thought they got out of hand when I was going up by love Tarallo loans. Love terror loans at the celebrations love Chatto, Cinco with the celebrations. Love. Randy moss with the celebrations love Joe horn. Taking the cell phone out of the goalpost and celebrating its social media was as important as it was. And if it was around when those things were happening into level that it is today. Those that have been viral gifts now in football. There's viral gifts on touchdown celebrations. A lot of them now team oriented now. So in the eagles won the Super Bowl. They did a lot of team celebrations. Rob gronkowski. The gronk spike. There's personality with NBA stars. There's personality with NFL stars..

That's my old person problems every day. I feel like there's this sniffle. Oh, my. Now, are you where do you fall? Like, what decade are you in? I'm forty seven. Okay. That's when it starts. Yeah. Thanks for calling. Jen. We appreciate it. Thanks you too. Let's see we got another E mail coming in here. Sherry says pulled a muscle getting in mice Bank. No. Fall down on the bed. Regulators are clearing the sky for drones to fill the sky from American public media. This is marketplace tech demystifying the digital economy. Non jed Kim in from Ali would. The drones are coming along. Have we been hearing that? But actually, they're here illegally drone activity this week and last month near airports in and around London tangled holiday travel, the latest at Heathrow on radar. All you can see a flights landing a nun leaving the airport said it was a response to reports of a drone sighting yet. Drones hold a lot of promise, and I'm not talking about Amazon deliveries by flying robot. Drones are youth to survey damage from hurricanes, and in fact, just this week regulators granted a waiver to a major insurance company to allow BV loss usage of drones that's beyond visual line of sight. What could relaxing regulation of drones mean for businesses that want to use them? Very McNabb is editor in chief at drone life dot com. I asked about all the predictions of drone adoption by businesses. Drones are actually really heavily used right now. Just not in the neighborhoods. So the places that drone. Have already been really adopted is things like oil and gas, you know, where you're going out to a remote area, and you're using aerial sensors to do oil and gas exploration things like cell phone tower inspection things like mining enquiries where you can fly over a stockpile and use photo grandma tree to take. I'm really accurate measurements. You know? There was news that came out this week about state farm getting away ver to do damage assessments and things, and and it isn't that drones haven't been used for those purposes before they have been for the last couple of years. But now you're starting to see really big names come on board. So we're here in the early part of twenty nineteen looking forward for this year. What do you see being the evolution of drones this year? Well, the state farm waiver which was for BB Laos flight and flight over people. I think that those are moving towards being. Regularized? So that average companies can apply for those waivers in and they'll be sort of part of everyday business and that makes a big difference onto the drone industry. It allows more applications to flourish. I think believe it or not that drone delivery is getting really close. And when I say that I'm not really talking. I know I know it's crazy. I'm not really talking about drone delivery of things like burritos. But what I am talking about is drone delivery of things like medicines. And that's being tested right now, it's a subject of a number of the pilot programs. So while I don't think you're going to see widespread delivery by Amazon this year. I do think that you are gonna see delivery drones in communities for important things like medical supplies and hospital transportation. Miriam. Mcnabb is editor in chief at drone life dot com. By the way, I did push back at her on one thing. She said during our interview burrito, delivering drones aren't important aren't important. Let's make this happen. People tomorrow. I'm jed Kim. And that's marketplace tech. And now for some related links from CBS in Las Vegas one trend this year. It's ES is not virtual reality. Both the and CNN and other outlets had stories about how VR just doesn't have any buzz this year, and it's kinda true. While a lot of booth do have some kind of headset in VR experience. It's almost like background noise. And I'm not gonna lie. It's validation for those of us who kind of always thought the promise seemed a lot farther away than the use case. Now that said I do plan to get producer eve hooked up to a VR rig. So look for photos or videos on my Instagram that Molly would pro sorry eve. But it seems like as predicted in previous episodes of marketplace tech on minted reality is what's pulling ahead in the short term. That's because you can use a are for useful things right now like seeing how furniture or art looks in your living room using your phones built in camera. Augmented reality is better technology for integrating into heads up. Displays in cars. You could see map. Traffic obstacles right on the windshield and companies like in real are showing off mixed reality glasses that combine the real world with digital images overlaid on your vision. So you could eventually use these things for shopping and designing a room playing games or watching movies on a plane without the complete isolation. And inability to move around safely that you've get by immersing yourself completely into virtual reality. I'm Ali would. And that's marketplace tech. This is APN. This marketplace podcast is brought to you by triple bite applying to programming jobs is a pain from endless applications to countless hours of technical screens with triple bite. "It's a cat and mouse game here so all the stuff that you're hearing about who teams like and whatnot you take it with a grain of salt but i do think the new york giants there with the second pick really are going to dictate a lot of what happens for the rest of this first room by let's see what you guys think eighty eight say espn eight seven to nine three seven seven six started off with joey he's calling from la joe you're on espn radio how were you and doing great and how about yourself joe i'm doing outstanding what's on your mind today and there's a lot of the nfl draft but i want to begin by asking you have you seen so much buildup leading up to a draft i it's this is the most i've seen since two thousand four with ally manning not wanting to go to geico well what was the common denominator with two thousand and four in two thousand eighteen is that you had a few quarterbacks who will figure to go here early on in the draft remember in oh four yet three quarterbacks going the top ten now the interesting thing about it though here is i'm not going to sit here and try to convince you that josh allen josh rosen sam darnold if indeed those of the three guys off the board i in any particular order i'm not going to sit here and try to convince you that those three guys are going to the hall of fame just like alive rivers and ben rothlisberger are going to be in one day i mean this end up this could be the same disaster as when we had tim couch donovan mcnabb and akili smith go one two three it might end up being that way but i do think that there's a couple of these guys who figure to have good careers and that's why you have the nation when you have the quarterback and when you have as many of them as you have figuring to go early on here in two thousand eighteen that's where all this buildup comes from.
