Pastor David Englehardt Wants to Be the 'Exact Opposite of Richard Rohr'

"Him. According to your version of the Christian faith, which I think is my own, is Richard rohr theologically orthodox and just iffy in some areas or is he really problematic? I think he would, I think most people would say he's really fuzzy about all about solid the solid issues. So I think he would probably consider himself orthodox, but he's fuzzy about lots of issues. He wrote a book called falling upward that I read a couple of years ago and it was basically a philosophical copy of this kind of second half of life concept and I know a lot of I know a lot of Christian progressives that are my age that are leaders that are thought leaders that find this guy to be like the monk on the mountain. So in some degree, I want to be the exact opposite of a Richard rohr, who's obscure, kind of find your own path kind of wander towards Jesus kind of stuff and maybe you'll find him in the tree or in the bird or in the next phase of his life. That's funny. And what I'm saying is, no, there are specific boundaries, and there are cliffs to fall off. One of the quotes my buddy John Mark McMillan wrote that song, oh, how he loves this. And he says, if grace is an ocean, we're all sinking. And I say in the book, you know, grace may be an ocean, but there's another body that should be familiar with, which is called the Lake of fire. We can sing about oceans of grace, but we must also balance that with lakes of fire because they're both represented in our story. And we can't have just this soft kind Christianity if we don't forget the hard and sharp

"Thing welcome into the eSports network podcast talking about anything and everything related to E sports and of course gaming and all that that entails. Lately, I've been kind of a bit of a gambling betting just kind of itch, I wanted to find out more about the industry and had a bunch of guests on if you heard the past few episodes and few of the upcoming ones. We talk about that a little bit more. And so here to kind of help dive into that realm a little bit more. Let's welcome in the matrix operator over at csgo empire, one of the largest gambling sites of its kinds will come in Luke McMillan, all the way out from South Australia, which is at this point in time extremely early, so Luke, I want to thank you for taking time to wake up on time and come on the interview and kind of give us your thoughts on what's going on with CS go empire. Yeah, no worries at all. I'm happy to be here and I'm hopefully I can share a bit of insight into Cisco empire and kind of what we're doing over at empire. For sure. And so in case people don't know Cisco empire is a gambling site established back in what 2016 and through the ups and downs of the CS go gambling things that we've seen around. Empire remains kind of the largest of its kind in this day and age. And so you guys are working hard to make the kind of gambling industry for Cisco reputable again, you're working hard to make a transparent. And so let's just talk about you a little bit, right? So how exactly does one become a matchbook operator? I'm not sure if you know this, but there's not really a course out there college university course titled metric operator general courses. How did you end up in this role with CS go empire? Yeah, for sure, so I guess just a bit of background on myself pretty much being involved in the eSports thing as long as I can remember in one way or another. And I play it in a relatively high level counter strike and valid in Australia. I wouldn't really say pro for like kind of considered pro in Australia. But take that for what it is. But I finished high school I decided that I kind of pursued that direction within eSports of being a competitive player, which is something that I enjoyed and I was quite fortunate I got to play in a csgo lane in China. I think it was apac qualifiers something at it. Something in 2017 or 2018 I can't really remember..

Influential Educators: Nursery School Pioneer Margaret McMillan

"Margaret and rachel contributed to the christian socialist magazine and margaret began giving free lessons to working class girls in london. These the beginning years of their lives in service. At the poor and disenfranchised for the next few years the sisters helped workers and strikes and traveled to different industrial regions of england giving talks and visiting the poor to better understand the needs of communities their engagement also led to involvement in several socialist societies and groups in nineteen. Oh two when margaret was forty two years old. The sisters joined the recently formed labor party. The labor party remains the major political parties in england to this day at that time working class children were expected to work long hours in terrible conditions as their parents did. Factory owners cared more about profit than safety and children often got injured. And we're not paid well. This exploitation deeply concerned the sisters and they became champions for the wellbeing of all children. They canvassed for a bill that established a nurse all primary schools. They established community health and dental clinics in a needy area of london. They used their connections to establish night clinics in deptford where children could get a nutritious hot meal a bath and clean clothes and bedding and they became involved in a campaign to provide meals in schools. Arguing that hungry children could not learn and contributing to legislation. That made it law in. Nineteen eleven margaret wrote the child and the state in it. She criticized the tendency of some schools to focus solely on preparing children for unskilled on monotonous labor. She believed schools should offer a humane and interesting education that spurred the growth of the next

The Impact of Family Dynamics on Relationships With Tracy McMillan

"Today. We're going to talk about the impact of family dynamics on our relationships and obviously this is a big one and one that we all bring with us. We come from families. We get into relationships in that plays a huge role in how we relate. So let's start by having you tell our listeners. One of the bigger things you see in people's relationships as it relates to their childhood and their origin family in how that can impact their present. Day romantic relationships. Well the very first thing. I think that happens. Is that our issues. In our present day relationships usually originate in our families. So one of the things that tell mazing about family or fiance is that we bring the cause and the fact into the same house and any time you get multigenerational like it's like multigenerational therapy. Essentially where both sides benefit from bringing those two things into the same place for three days because invariably whatever's going on with the parent. Okay so the thing about family or say there's really two different ways things happen sometimes. There's a problem in the cup holder. The family sees the couples not dealing with. And sometimes there's a problem in the family or with one of the parents and one of the partners that needs to get resolved right so it can either be the problems in the family. The problems in the couple either way this process of bringing families and couples together invariably surfaces. Whatever is going on so on a lotta times of people like to do is way they get along in their families or in their partnerships is to just keep the beach ball underwater. Put it. they just don't say what they really think whatever's the scariest thing they can say they're not going to say it. They're not going to go to the heart of the matter. They're just gonna pretend it's not happening. And that's how they're going to keep the peace and instead that doesn't really keep the peace keeps the

That is all it takes us. Explain what is going on with all those numbers. Listen and follow the indicator from npr. It's here and now. After years of controversy. The major league baseball team out of cleveland announced last week that it will. Now be the cleveland guardians while the choice of guardians may have baffled som- name was inspired by one of the city's most iconic landmarks a set of towering statues known as the guardians of traffic. David barnett senior arts reporter. For w cpn's idea stream cleveland local and an institution himself this year. Hi david absoulutely as we are both right well past the name. That's being dropped as inappropriate as we know. Was cleveland indians. The team decided to pivot away from names with the native american origin and cut ties with the controversial chief. Wahoo but what's we'll have pictures in here now dot org but for the uninitiated guardians of traffic. What is that. It is on a bridge that cross the crosses the infamous cuyahoga river It links east and west it The statues date back to nineteen thirty. Two and they are on. There are four pylons on the bridge to on the west side and two on the east side each one of these pylons has this a guardian on it and the guardians are doing is holding a mode of transportation everything from a stage coach to a hay wagon to a brand new car circa nineteen twenty or so and and several trucks and so each one of these Guardians is is holding these these these vehicles and is in a way. It's kind of blessing. The traffic that goes back and forth across the bridge. They're done in an art deco style and they're beautiful to look at a gorgeous gorgeous again here now dot org to see them but how will that translate into a shirt well. There's been some question about the logo itself Because it's the logo they've come up with is a little clunky. It's it's a baseball with a couple of a wings on each side which kind of emulates with the way the guardians. Look but i gotta tell you. The guardian imagery is all over town. It is on t shirts. It is on beer bottles. It is on even shower. Curtains and not to mention you know paperweights and bumper stickers and buttons and that sort of thing. So it's really part of the you know to be corny to be part of the dna of the city. But it's so true. No i think that's a wonderful way to put it in. This city has deep rich. I'll put it that way The it's but i think it's trending towards positive th- the critics will argue that their childhood memories are being erased some might say cancelled others say that logo is bad but the the the the adherence are saying that the guardians are iconic and they have a long history and they are cleveland. They are noble. They're strong and what's what's not the like about that right to like has the team you know. Have they come. Can you see the logo now with the team. I mean as you said. It's all over town but not you. I can yet because it's do be introduced in next year. So that's so the the as you as you may recall in recent years chief wild who went away a couple of years several years ago and so they've been phasing it out and so they finally have phased out the name indians. "She throw out a question and let everyone have at it. And it was completely intellectually exhilarating. So we wanted to hear again. Our conversation in that home through a door was always open. Here's our visit from two thousand five and we visited persona to talk over t about her work as a speechwriter. For then senator. John kennedy in the fifties about their well-documented dating friendship pursued she declined and about how as a reporter in moscow in nineteen fifty nine. She met a twenty year old. American defector named lee harvey oswald. Well i had heard that there was a young defector staying in my hotel and that he wouldn't speak to anybody if the american embassy consular officer told me that but he said to me. Well maybe he'll talk to you because you're a woman and he said yes he come up and talk to me that night in my room. He's carefully stood in the door of his room. So i wouldn't be able to see inci. Priscilla would come to learn that she and oswald. We're both paying only three dollars a day for their rooms. He because he attempted suicide in the soviets didn't know what to do with him. She because the russians wanted to recruit her to be a spy. There is a cottage industry in the us of conspiracy theorists who believe priscilla mcmillan was a spy for the us. Because how else could she have known. Both kennedy and oswald were you a spy. No i wasn't but the thing that's so funny is that They think i was a spy for the us but the us never asked me the russians asked me. They were trying to lure you in as a spy. Sure but i wouldn't have spied for anybody. What was your impression of him. I saw he was lonely and lost. And just very unutterable young. Did you have any sense of anything. Bigger than that. Anything grander than that. At the end of our interview he said to me. I want to give the people of the united states. Something to think about. That's a little bit grandiose. So he he makes this closing remark to you and then four years later you. I thought i almost new. I don't know why. When i heard lee harvey i knew the rest but i you know how many lee harvey's do you know. Priscilla says she was in shock then grief and then traveled to texas where she befriended marina oswald and her daughter june writing one of the definitive books of the genera marina and lee. I felt guilty. Because i'd known kennedy and strung him along all those years maybe four and the the thing that i remember best about him was that he was curious about everything and he was always asking me so naturally i thought he wanted to know why somebody who didn't even know him hated him enough to shoot him. And so that's what i was after. I wanted to find out for him for his say why he was killed you. Are you saying that your intense interest in all the research that you've done all the work that you did the testimony before the warren commission all your your sort of immersion in this whole topic. Although fed officials have said the surges are temporary in the inflation. Are they beginning to worry that these inflation rises could be not temporary. Your heard from the fed share in from the treasury secretary from janet. Yellen is well is that this is transitory. Which is another word for temporary that this has been caused by the economy being shut down and then reopened. Yes it means temporary but how long is this period going to last. We don't have a very clear sense of that. And so there are layers of uncertainty on top of the fact that we just don't know how long this is going to go on. And what have we heard about the effects of the delta variant at least the economy. Yeah i've been struck by. How many economists are nodding to the delta variant. It's a thing that they're watching. But they're drawing a distinction between how fast it's spreading and what we went through last year. We've seen a few. Economists revised their forecasts for growth down a bit because will be seen but most of them have not. So i take it. They're paying attention to what's going on. The fed is doing that as well. Jay powell said many times in the past. The virulence of the virus is what's driving the economy. Most economists expect continued growth through the rest of this year. Companies are hiring people have saved money. They're spending again and you gotta remember. There's point which we're no longer going to see the kinds of numbers that we've seen we've come out of this massive downturn has been this groundswell celeste. "We will at back to the reilly. Auto parts bit reporters along allen cavanna from the positive regression. Podcast adam stern from the sports business journal. Mcmillan glad to have you with us. A couple of guys named gordon as i said in the news this week. First of all alan jeff gordon. I don't think it's a big surprise that it was announced He is going to be leaving fox. After this season. I mean the fox main part of their season basically over. But we've all known he was in line to really kind of take over things at hendrick motorsports and he's going to be basically the number to guide hendrick under rick and so we hate to see him leave the booth but we certainly understand his duties at hendrick and he's kind of the man going forward right. Yeah i mean you knew it was coming at some point. I didn't think it would be this quick. And i think it's just a loss for a lot of people who enjoyed the first half of the season because i think the pair duo bringing clint boyer in kind of may jeff gordon a better broadcaster. Only in that had another driver to talk to a contemporary. And clint boyer could be the show. While jeff gordon could be the ninety three race four-time champion right ninety three race winner. Four time champion and kind of take some of the pressure off of being the entertainment as well right. It was a good balance with the three of them. So i thought. Jeff gordon shine especially this year and we only got one year of it so that part was unfortunate but i think he likes the direction of team hendrick right now and and the four young championship. Were they drivers. So i think he was in a good winning position no matter what he picked as you look at it to adam. Your thoughts i on on gordon stepping away from the booth and maybe your feelings or what. You're hearing rumblings of how they make fill that spot or do they think allen's exactly right from the perspective of you know we ended up doing what five six years i mean. Obviously when when you look at guys transitioning from broadcasts from from their playing days broadcasting. Sometimes you envision boy this be year career thirty year rear. So maybe this was a little bit quicker than than some people thought it would be on at the same time. If you remember back you know. He retired after fifteen. He signed a three year. Deal from sixteen to eighteen with fox was his original deal. He looked at leaving aftermath original deal and then he ended up signing the extension nineteen through twenty one this year and You know to own. I don't know if it's because their performance. Well i tend to think it actually would have happened regardless. And maybe if they were not running well might even had to happen quicker So i think this was really coming. I think you know he didn't talk about as much. But i think even on top just being on the team side. He's probably not going to have to travel quite as much Things like that now. Because i'm sure he'll still be at the race track a lot but it will be quite as Ours half of the year when he literally or to be there every week and then obviously he just has us competitive juices that he wants to be involved with the team side. I think will still be interesting to see. There was some talk that this was kind of revealed as the succession plan. But it really wasn't because in my opinion a lease because we actually really don't know for example. You know marshall carlson. That's team president. Is rick hendrick son-in-law so who really will run handwrite one hundred percent long term. I don't know exactly. And i don't know of anyone knows that this is really made that public. It just said jeff. Gordon is taking on a new role as vice chairman. He's going to be really leading things on a day to day perspective alongside. Rick is not going away yet And so i think it really really interesting how it plays out clearly. There's a big move for jeff and I just think as far as who has replaceable. Be i haven't heard yet. Obviously i've got a couple of natural in-house replacements Like jamie mcmurray are going back to larry mcreynolds so clearly you would think they start there But can they go. Try and find a home. Run my understanding. Is they've been trying to find home runs. But i don't know if those hormones are going to happen and You look at guys who already at different networks or you look at a guy like heaven. Aric who had been rumored you know to wanna go to the booth. And she'd been inside that barry long essentially with s jar mean. His deal is up on twenty three. I don't think he's going anywhere. So i think they might have to look in house eventually if they wanna keep remem- booth but We'll have to see exactly what the decision is. As i have not heard or understood yet say how it plays out alan good. No i mean it's how it's impossible to replace ninety three wins and four championships. The face of the sport for for well more than a decade. That is going to be a heavy lift to replace that. I don't envy the executives at fox. Obviously who. I worked with back in the day but How do you replace the resume of jeff gordon. The name recognition of jeff gordon. That is going to be tough. And i don't envy who has to come in and sort of fill that void because ultimately the broadcasting side of it will win out but at initially no one's going to have a comparable resume. So maybe you start there and just say look. We're there's no way we're going to compare resumes here but we'll bring in the best possible. Broadcasters that's what has to happen for television makes a lot of sense. Let's talk about the other guy named gordon and get your thoughts on this adam as todd. Gordon has announced that he's going to retire at the end of the year championship winning crew. Chief joy lugano now the crew. Cheaper ryan blaney. I'm almost wondering adam if this is the beginning of may i'm not gonna say a mass exodus for crew chiefs but if this is the beginning of something we're going to see a few more of these before the end of the year especially with this new car coming on online next year. I mean these guys are going to have to throw out all the books they've got because they're going to be useless after this year and for guys have been around for a while. They made us be going this. This is a good time to step away. Definitely and when you look at what todd gore and said you know he also noted that the pandemic played into just from the perspective of a gave him new perspective And so. I think obviously it is a big time of transition. The obviously we've had a big transition as as a world and as a country but certainly you're right. Obviously next year is a big year started with the next generation car. I think obviously there's two ways to look at it. You know some guys might be looking at is the perfect time to go away. There might be some other guys like occurred bush for example. If you talk about drivers crew chiefs her saying i might actually stick around for another year or two and see how this new car go. So i'm not sure yet. I think you might be right that we could see that trend. But i just don't know we'll have to see how plays out and what to see where. Todd gordon goes. You didn't really say what he was doing So is he going to find another role in the or elsewhere outside of team penske or is he. Getting outside of altogether will be interesting to see. Yeah it really isn't an allen under that. You've you've worked with todd gordon over the class guy always very open to talking to you and I visit. I always thought one of the great guys to talk to but i certainly understand when you start talking about family and spending more time at home. The hours these crew chiefs put in on the cup level is just unbelievable. Oh yeah and we heard him to you know in his interviews this week. He talked about his daughters. I think he sees his family his parents a lot at the track. But you know to spend time with them away from the track is all a positive thing and look he's he's a daytona five hundred winning championship pointing many race winning crew chief. That's hard to replace. And it's going to be a big deal. A penny think of all the changes. We obviously the reports. Brad kozlowski leaving austin syndrich coming over. Now you need..

"At welcome back. Loan adam stern for the sports business journal and alan cavanna from the positive regression podcast. I'm brian mcmillan. Glad to have you with us. You know kyle larson cooled off a little bit pocono just a little. He didn't win a stage. He did finish second on sunday. And oh by the way on saturday. He was actually leading going into the last turn of the last lap. So yeah he's still there. So matter of fact adam when you look at it the last eight points races he has three wins. Four seconds and a leading going into the final turn of the last lap. What he blew a tire. He's doing okay. Kids just on fire. I mean you know even this past weekend after there had been some chatter in the garage about had hendrick been forced to change their cars a little bit because of a directive from nascar related to their noses You know what their speed be lost a little bit because of that you know they come right back in even with kyle larson not winning on saturday so the are win without bowman so on sunday they were strong as well. They're on a heck of its hair and you know they've been count on a downturn in recent years in terms of from their usual strength strength status. They haven't been winning anywhere near as many races as three four years Even when jimmy johnson won the championship in his last year. You know they weren't winning a ton of races that year. So something's been clicking this year. There's some speculation. Maybe it's because ucr an hms Combined or engine efforts and they found a lot of strengths there. I don't know exactly what it is But clearly there on fire right now and not only. Is there car super strong but they appear to have some very good drivers on the wheel. Who are all pushing the limit of pushing going deep into the quarter now going very quick. These aren't guys who are kind of joy riding around. I mean these are or drivers who are really pushing the limit so A a really good car really good drivers. It is a combination. Alan at one point not that long ago denny hamlin had this massive hundred something point lead in the point standings. Now it's too not two hundred two. That's how much ground kyle is made up in the last few weeks yet. Unbelievable i mean how big that is and how valuable that is. I mean winning. The regular season championship is the bonus point. Equivalent right of three victories. So that's a huge deal that we thought was a foregone conclusion not long ago. And then kyle. Larson starts going on this tear ad. Fifteen more bonus points to where he already has a ticket to phoenix in theory. We we know nothing is guaranteed especially after last year but he look larssen's checking off all the boxes right. We're looking. we're nitpicking. If we were looking for weaknesses think back to atlanta. Oh we couldn't close out that race. He's never won a five hundred mile race. Oh then he goes out and wins the coca cola. Six hundred right. he starts closing out races. He's never went on a road course before he goes out and wins on a road. Course i mean what what's left for him to do maybe some choice. Short-track stuff phoenix win. What he has to check off of you wants to win a championship. But what i'm getting at is any week. This is even if we're nitpicking looking for something as to why or what could possibly slow him down at all. It's getting harder and harder to find. I mean that paul was spot on. It wasn't five lug nuts but it wasn't blown tyre going into the final corner. It was the only thing that can stop kyle larson. I wish. I wish it'd been insightful enough to put a blown tire instead of five slugged nuts but we missed we missed on that one atom when you look at what kyle larson's doing i'd be curious to get your thoughts on it. We've talked about this last couple of weeks on this show and i find that interesting to get everybody's thoughts on this. It's almost like kyle. Larson has finally been able to relax i. It was like in the last few years. The feels like he had to push the envelope because he felt like the car might be inferior now. It feels like he. You know after the first few weeks of the season kinda like okay. I can let it come to me a little bit. Do you feel the same thing again. I think it goes back to the combination. So i definitely think larson's You know where he's at mentally his confidence. You know what he did last year. Candlelight we all know last year he got suspended for a slur incident and he went and just went on dirt. One like dang near fifty Races in a row. I mean he barely lost any over the course of several dozen races not literally in a row but close to it and so his confidence. The past year has just been sky high as far as on the track. We know he knows that he's a winner on the track yobs. She had off the field issue that he had to deal with. He's dealt with them. He seems like using a much better place and again. Let's go back to that combination. He's in a much better place. Hendrickson a much better place All of their cars are running up front. It's it's not a coincidence. Yes heart of the reason. I say they're doing this because they have that combination. They don't have guys who are slack off on the wheel very good drivers but their car right now whether it's the engine whether it's the chassis whether it's all you have to do is let's don't take it from me. Listen to other guys. The drivers in sort. They will tell you that there's something these has hendrick cars have right now. They don't so it's it's a awesome combination is a virtuous cycle. Your you got a confident driver who is in a good place to your point. Enure cars hitting on cylinder that no one else is. They're very tough to stop right now. And we'll have to see someone else catch up. How do you feel about the whole thing allen. Do you feel like that. That he's in a situation that different from where it was gonna asi. Oh it's huge. I mean it's one of the toughest things about racing is that slower equipment can really mask. Just how good of a driver you are or that we're seeing and we saw that for years with kyle larson in that forty two car again. Sorry to plug the podcast. But we talk about it a lot. I mean my bike. Co co anchor. David smith he. Can we talk about what. The driver brings to the car and forty two car last year in an years before. Ev all the performance coming out of the forty two team was because of the driver. You take away the speed you take away the crew chief decisions. All the performance was because of the driver. And you can see when they when that car. Didn't have kyle larson last year. It didn't exactly perform go fast. Do anything quite well right. I mean we're talking about a driver who was just waiting for his chariot. Now kyle larson has it. Not only has it. He has the fastest car in the series. So you're picking up an uber. Talented driver putting him in the fastest car at this is the product of it. I mean this is what we've been waiting for as the racing community to see and hear about this kid who's uber talented. All world driver. And now he's in the fastest car. What do you do with it. Well you better go out there and win. He's not just winning. He's he's been on a streak of domination lately and it's happened probably a lot sooner than most of us expected and now a seven.

"June of this year, despite the devastation to small businesses and individual workers. Ah Washington Post Analysis finds it 45 of the 50 biggest companies in the US are turning a profit. Most of those companies are cutting jobs and rewarding shareholders reporting on this in the post Douglas McMillan, who joins me on the common whose line Doug Thanks for joining us today. Have to be with you. How many jobs were cut by these big and still profitable companies? Yes, we looked at the 50 largest companies in the country and just from those we were able to calculate more than 100,000 workers have been laid off. Like a lot of these companies were not specifying the number of layoffs, so that's probably another estimate. Okay early in a pandemic. Some of these big companies had vowed not to lay off workers and not to focus on investors. So Somebody had to kind of lead the charger who broke the vow. Yes, it's been an interesting time for these companies because a lot of CEOs over the past year has been talking about how they have commitments in society that go beyond just their shareholders and Pandemic was a zoo. A big test of those commitments. Andre Early on independent. We saw companies like Cisco Technology Company and down in San Jose. Um okay panel, and companies like Salesforce all kind of make their CEO came out and make pledges not to have whole layoffs and the pandemic because they emphasize it. You know, there's a lot there are a lot of people are dealing with house and other kind of chaos and confusion in their lives. They want to make their their employees not have to worry about their jobs. Well, you know, A few months into the pandemic. Ah, lot of those companies went back on those promises and laid off workers. Anyway, We were all of these layoffs directly related to the pandemic. As far as you can tell, no, and you know, we reached out to more than 20 companies that have helped lay off this year. Many, many of them said. You know, this is not these are not pandemic related layoffs. With the common response that we got and you know, a lot of them said that this is part of a broader restructuring program is which is what corporations like the word that they used used to say when they're when they're, you know. Removing their investment in one area and then trying to shift it to another kind of more growing product line on But you know, sometimes in restructuring, Ah, lot of people have to lose their jobs, and they're working on the wrong things. This, you know, But, you know, I think that a lot of the ethics experts we talked to, you know, look at this and said, Hey, you know, these large corporations that have the financial rounds all attended billions of dollars in cash reserves of many of them. And they have the ability to absorb kind of the impact of the pandemic, maybe ability to kind of step up here and you know what we saw with many of the company that they have not to do it that are there any companies that are going the opposite way, bucking the trend, losing money and not laying people off and still making the money, we'll also hiring That's a good question. We looked out at sea we wanted, uh um 50 largest companies in the country 40 and he said the top 45 of them were profitable. Of those five that were not profitable. They include Boeing. Company. You guys know a lot about you say we've heard about that. Yeah. Yes, Disney on. But if you are a few others that older they're kind of hit pretty severely by the pandemic. So the answer a question quickly. I don't think that any of those unprofitable companies I think all of them actually held lasted here. All right. Good article. Thanks for sharing part of where this Douglas McMillan. You could read that article and Washington post dot com It's 11.

I'm pumped to taste the stuff but before we do Tastes these out and get into the distillery itself. I figured we contribute to the content today with at least what i know about distilleries namesake. What what do you know and not much. Just what i google. It's so wolf. Point is an area downtown chicago. It's the confluence of the branches of the chicago river. Now see i told you. Use that word in a sentence but no it's just where all the north south in main branches come together and it used to be just like that west bank but now it's kind of the whole and It's kind of like where everything started. It's the first everything a first tavern started popping up there the first hotel first. Cvs not just getting. It was the first drugstore though and The first bridges over the river. So that's kind of where everything got started. The the emblem for wolf point actually is what was a before the chicago flag. You'll actually see that On the chicago bridges. Yeah it's like that. Why shaped logo right. Yeah yeah i've seen that it's on buildings downtown and stuff. The city adopted. I wanna say for like their little logo That is correct in. There's there's no one's really sure how it got its name. I heard it was an indian chief that lived there. That was named Whatever's indian for wolf Somebody some people saw that As the first tavern guy kill the wolf or something. I mean that's pretty damn press of. Yeah it's kinda cool. I love that history sure So the same things. I don't even know. Oh yeah it's all good so this is all like history of chicago stuff. I love that stuff but Some me about what you do and what will be tasting today so as you said their brand ambassador of just started in two thousand seventeen. They don't really have a market presence right now so they hired me to You know but. I'm in the stores and restaurants nice. That's what i'm doing right now We self distribute but eventually we'll We'll get a distributor people have been Like in the product a lot so far What what's unique about. This product is is ties in to Some chicago history. Each bottle has a story call. So what we're going to be tasting out today. Is there jack. Screw vaca of florence field gen than a captain santa because of the botanical. senate moonshine. But don't be afraid of this moonshine. It is not your southern bathtub kind of moonshine..

"Fuck life. That makes no sense that's. Where you lose it, you lose. It was just like but. As far as Christina, thing I don't. Really cultural broke. Dude, who made front page of Yahoo for that and I think it's funny owns like. Party. Those dudes dressed up like fucking Indians. Then dump that t into that in my opinion because. That's what I'm saying. You're appropriate. To try to get all the negative attention on that culture that my opinions cultural appropriation. This cultural would make bad as this culture has whole week not in the Harvard so actually Indians. No I didn't even know. They dressed up as native Zou dowse early form of sons of Liberty Bro. That was there. They dressed up as natives I. Never I don't even know if I remember that downing early form of a fucking central Park Karen. They like street. Iran weaponized. Yeah. Boston Tea Party Day. They just though like. You're so right, DUDE! That's cultural appropriate I don't WanNa. Fuck about the W who wants to wear a headdress and dance around like a Jaguar it on. Whatever? She's the governor's daughter that it is. because. What chill too much clout! Jake leg ugly. I don't really have an opinion that we have. Here at Tar. Kay He calls himself kissing in now. He was chief peace. He was freaking out about that name because he wanted to come off negative to the natives. He talked bullied if. You came on. He was talking to us about the main. Of Christina foul one about it. THAT WAY WASN'T A. Governor's to do you think they would have been cool with the like I wouldn't wear this headdress, because it symbolizes power, and all this other shit and I wanNA feel like that on stage like you think they would have freaked out his bed. Now I said literally I'm saying. Well actually I don't know I. Don't know I, don't i. don't care I, mean. That's what I'm saying. Jordan's native I always laugh like you just don't give, but you got like. IBM Black. People who like expect me to care about like a certain age. You're black. So. It's funny because it's kind of weird panzer like. George Floyd Shit like yeah I give! That, what is like? Trying to get black people who care about all my Nigga. That doesn't mean a damn thing to me. Do you go from like your black friends? A lot like saying she like mother Fucker, you like, do they say? Like. No, don't my black friends. Get Me I. Get I turn friends saying we wouldn't be friends if it was like they were giving me shit for life. Right for something like that, but it's like I guess shift from just like random black people I really just black people on the Internet. If I'm mean black people like? Like it's always cool, but like black people on the Internet all it'd be. Over like some really dumb shit like he said as a joke, usually sarcasm or just some stupid sounds obvious serious like it'll be like entertainment exact for example. WHENEVER BLACK WAS WE'RE GONNA cancel dosier cat because he said the N. Word on a chat, or whatever and I was like. WHO's does your cow? Artist. She's like a mixed artist or whatever. And I remember. I was listening I'm not canceled. Does your cat? Well, why don't you love that? The allied dude because I like her music I. Don't give a fuck about her as a person and our fucking watch that video. Yes, she said Nigger. She's black Oh, she said it in a chat full. She said a chapel, a white supremacist house. I brought none of those people from all video. "Humor. Oh. Barak laid. New Policy ultra-rich all dude. Like talk about doing like skit comedy and Shit. We gotta have Jabbar Glitter. And, he's got to have that outfit. It'd be so fucking perfect, and that's a character. Creators right there fucked up McDonald's commercial. Kids Jabbar. Man Dude. I don't know man I went to. The I went to the the riots yesterday. No show you went there. Comes I was out there for a minute here in the okay, see fucking like they. Like near the capital. They do like around. Okay, so it started at a like northeast, thirty six and Kelly bull like they did it like to that whole block to the capital. They marched. Radius Yeah! They marched all the way to the police station. Right that was the. Note to the actual capital okay. I thought they just went to the station. Not well then went a bunch of. A radius like baby showed like a map of it, okay. Like I on social media, where showed the whole Radio Dan? That's kind of a big radius, but I was out there. I would like to my friends You know I went out there for about four hours earlier in the day because it was supposed to start at two thirty, yeah. And I went out there around, too. Early and stuff like and it was cool man. It was peaceful. It was all fucking love. Everybody's like super fucking Nice like I was telling my friend Nate I was man. This is actually kinda restoring my faith faith in humanity. That's what I've seen a lot of because it's like are mad like. Mrs Fought me to write. Everything don't believe. Everything is dogs. Never get better. I do believe that every man should be for themselves. But I saw share and it was like getting. It was getting light dose of Light Love. Who's cool, man? That's crazy. It's worth the. Golic dopamine rush. You can't look at the looting and all that Shit. We were all. That makes you protests invalid. Stamp on history, it makes the most fucking valid form. These are communities of everyone coming together. Say like yeah, stop fucking killing us like. And you're right Bro. Everybody was out there like all the races were out there. I. Saw all the racers out there I saw I saw the Middle Eastern fuckers. I saw Asian I saw white people like those. People's out there. Those are the people who know, too. Yeah. I don't I don't really the whole city like brought everybody I knew was there like everybody we knew or a lot of people we know. That's why I don't believe the news anymore. Because the news wants to portray like these fucking terrorist uprisings, violent protests are off the streets, but every time that we see. People on Social Media, which is still valid form of media there conflicting reports out there are peaceful in your always seeing the cops like fucking opening fire on. Shooting tear gas at them. Which I want to add is a fucking direct violation of international law. Ever since World War One like, how can they even fucking do this? Their own citizens like I should ain't legal. Shit's crazy dude. It was a, but it needs to happen troll that we were just describing Paul Roads. He posted a video. 'cause Hinman Justin went up there. Like after I left 'cause I. Left around six and you know I live with those two. So. It's like I love. I left the protest around six. They probably got up there around four. And they they chill till they stay like the whole time to like two am by to. Sell Antonio Tease footage just are not Justin Papa under hosted. Now Toni T. O. Indian DJ Dude Oh. Paul posted a video of the. He had a video of the COPS teargassing. And he got reported and they made him take it down. Shit like I'm like what the fuck this is like like literally is in the video. Shows it right? It's like the cops were like on the highway and then like the people. Yeah like there's a huge fucking line people on the other side of the cops and the next thing you know you just see. An Paul. Man Actually I don't even know I only will I don't want to say this on air. Never mind. There's another thing another detail that happened, but am not gonNA sit on. My thing is like. Their excuse for that was oh well. Someone threw water bottle so. You're saying, but you're saying that. facebook took down because he posted on their wasn't facebook like as in Facebook, but a bunch of fucking like Frank Akers, like reported or man. You can't be let you do. That's like another thing that your post doesn't just get taken down on facebook unless you really get reported. FACEBOOK is an out there looking for that. Shit pissed off. People like Frank Akers world that fucking Shit then reported the same with we'd. Shouldn't there be like some sort of like the? Does the Algorithm. has a play to it, but it's like dude. If the video light, you know if somebody that's like a video that has like potential to get a lot of us a lot of people sharing it a lot of engagement, so they're not gonNA fuck with it. They may fuck with the Algorithm wise like make it like less scene, but even if if it's if the video is good enough, it's GonNa. Get shared. Shares the algorithm it just has to amp it up. Why is there no way to like stop? Because there's people who just go around reporting all the time shouldn't facebook like look at those. People say like you're reportedly. Nothing like you know what I'm saying like. How can? Oh. That's a good idea like mean. Cover system where it's like okay. This guy is reported because they actually do. Have people sitting in offices looking like when someone report. Yeah, they see that shit come here. Yeah, because you can have them, review it, you can go to facebook court I do it every. So..
