Zero quick death is really beautiful red blood tree in my yard and I captured a bunch of its odds. He wondered how difficult it is to grow them from seeking everything I was saying online was Crazy like boiling hot water and scraping him with sandpaper and stuff. So I figured I'd call and ask. Well, there there. You got the heart seed coding just like Bluebonnets and some of our other natives, which enables the seeds too. Last for years in the soil in the wild, right? They don't need anything. Really. If you're patient, they will come up eventually. Whether you scare if I am or pour boiling water, which I don't think it's a good idea that a man gets you could try it. You'll have a lot of seeds if you have multiple pods. And you could kind of experiment around with it. But you know if you have enough seed to play with, you can either plant some in the ground, right where you want them, you know, and maybe put some old flags or marker So you remember where they are. Or you could take some and start him in pots, you know, and try to girl month like that, But you don't really need to acid treat him like you would say, a fruit that's meant to go through the digestive system an animal before it's you know. Germinates. Okay. Well, thank you very much. I was gonna plan to put him in some pots and see if I couldn't get on the ground. Yeah, Absolutely. Yeah. And remember, there's always great information, and Jill Nokes is the powder grow native Texas plants. And I think it's available online. That's just like the Bible of propagating natives. It's just amazing. All right. Thank you for the one that taught me So Thank you very much. Appreciate your car. Okay, let's go to and In Terry Town. Hey, and thank you for calling. Hi, Cheryl. Thanks for taking this call. You sleep, You know, we moved into our house and they're these beautiful azalea bushes and I love azaleas because I'm from the Carolinas. They're very thready, and they're just not doing well. And I'd like to see if there's something I could do to help him prize. Well, you might be able to go with the commercial is Ilya Food that might help the hard water around here is their worst enemy. Andi, I'll tell you sent Mother used to do with our gardenia because I'm from the moron falls and where we had the gardening. These was up on top of seriously, just a rock shelf. And I asked her one time recently said, Mom, How did you get those guardians did grow so well in that alkalinity? And she said, Oh, I'd take a pint of white vinegar out there and poured around each plant and then watered in real good. She's due there every once in a while so mitigating the PH. Is Something. You could also try to do OK compost mulch, and then you might try next year, trimming them back after they bloom. And getting them to push out a little bit more. Okay. Okay. All right. Thank you. You're welcome. Good luck with that. I love him too. I keep mine in a pot. I got a big one you because it's just easier. You know, I live in the hills and y'all have better you'll have better soil down there. Well, I tried with a gardenia and it just lasted one season and died. But I really don't want to see my azaleas. I do everything I can bill and also be sure it's not a compact ID. You know, If the soil is really hard around them, you might gently loosen it up. I like a thick layer of compost, liken into compost and then mulch on top of that water deeply and just try to get him kind of, you know, coming back in the right direction. Okay. Okay. Wonderful. Thank you so much. Yes, ma'am. Thanks for calling. Kill BJ. Let's go to Georgetown. And if you all want to join the show, we'll have lines open at 51283605 19 text that number as well or toll free 8775 90. 55 25. Hey, the end How you doing up in Georgetown? Doing great, Cheryl. Thanks for taking my call. Sure. I have a question around Texas persimmons. I have several of those trees scared about my property he didn't have one tree, in particular has very, very large media for its seeds. And I'm wanting to propagate that and spread that around some more. And I tried. I have five years worth of the seeds and pots. Where I've terrified them and, you know, just try to get them going. I'm about to start a fresh crop, and I wondered if you had any other suggestions if those things sprout because five Yearsworth now not sprouted a single tree. Well. Typically, bill germinate riel easily from fresh seed. Have you tried just taken off the pulp and plant it on pretty quick. Yes, ma'am. I have. Well, that's keep at it. Maybe. Yeah, So here's the thing. It's I was just thinking about that free when I was talking earlier about You know fruits that are meant to be eaten by animals, and then they go see their digestive system and comes out in the poop all pre treated and ready for rapid germination, right? But according to My information and experience. You don't even really have to do that with the persimmon. If you if you go to tryto start acid treating stuff you're talking about really a kind of a dangerous situation right? Because I mean, I did it as a grower in you know, when I was having to grow large quantities of things like that I would ask to treat the The things like the Sioux, Max and stuff they need to be acid traded for rapid germination. But in this case what you can do, because if you cold stories that an ill Indu storm in sea and it will delay germination But you typically would like clean the fruit immediately to prevent mold and fermentation. And then you air dry the seeds and then you construe him and sealed refrigerated containers. But that's if you.

"Like we go back to the language thing if it's an access service, it's an exit service right a lot of people that doesn't mean anything, but for a lot of people. That's all they know. That's how they know. They show you how they love you. Make sense and I'd like to I'd like with the mail like a mask. Toxic masculinity like there's something to be said about like one going to therapy. You're considered. Like your lake literally someone is like Oh. You're going to therapy. You're such a pussy, and that's literally what they say like. I like that is what I have heard like. It's funny like you know like you know like fuck around and say that with your brand. Whatever like that's fine like I like I'm I. It's there's canceled. Culture is so wild during. During now, the Lakers there's there's some things that I'm like. Let's not worry about this and like worry about these bigger things truly right now, but like it's where you know being vulnerable. Amanda is vulnerable, a man that cries like like one of the last time that you cried. Can you tell me right now? One yesterday yesterday? I saw a onward and. What about you? What about you? Oscar me Oh my God i WanNa cry, so he's crying right now. Tony. Do you remember? Do you remember what each one every fucking day? Not a joke. Is Out of tears right now. Backstop back. He's back long. A joke at all I? Can't. I also cried I cry like for like I am like. Funny. I never used to cry and then three years ago. I started therapy and I literally. My forget I know I told you guys this like my first like session six here and I was like I don't know I just like I can't awry. Feelings and then all of a sudden I just started bawling and she was like. She was like okay and like I had no work is done came, but. A lot of that YUP but. A lot of that stems from my upbringing I. I I was I. Yeah, I felt like I grew up a little I look. I feel like I grew up a little bit sometimes, just being like also thrown into the quote, unquote boy's side. You know and like. It was like okay. Girls over here. Boys over here. RISA over here at the boys like so i. think that that made me feel like I. Even you were affected as even though you were women because of the way. Because of the role that you were work the by Cellini felt like you had to live up. Yes, things because of the way people related to you, so yeah, that's interesting. One hundred percent I know that there's times when I was younger. That I like probably copied. What my brother set will his br hints. To each other like Oh, like or you know something a little bit or like those like you know those those terms now like I like I don't know like I won't say that anybody because like I think I've said it before in our other episode. We talked about the Word Bitch I. think that's a powerful word. We can own that in lake. Lake, we can say that with power, but you know there's there's so much to be said about like even those little microaggressions like that bothers people like people get in their car and drive home, and they think about that you know, and and I think like we are moving towards a space in the world whereas a woman. I feel like I can. Can have these conversations with my male friends I can have these conversations with my female friends I can also have this conversation with my boyfriend, and like call him out on things or like you know, tell one of my little sister, my knees, or whoever it is Kayla your boyfriend should say what you know what I mean like certain things but like. Like. We are living in place now. Where it's a K., but folkman like twenty years ago like you would have been like Hella. Just shut down like big time ended up black or Asian or Latin. household Oh me. He thought dude. Don't even bring it up because you're not GonNa win because you're going to be. It's GonNa be nine against one. Always. So I. With therapy, go ahead finish. Please not finished. Oh, I was gonna say that it's also important to normalize therapy in the sense so a Lotta Times. Toxic masculinity is completely against that kind of thing, because not only because of owner ability, but he's also accepting that. Somehow you're wrong, not even just say you're crazy, is i? Thought like yourself. Your pattern yourself the way you view things away that you think about things is wrong, and so by accepting therapy is also accepting that you're wrong. And I think that just thought about I. Think in a funny way, but. There should be more bro. Therapists like therapy should be more bowie so that it would be like easier for. Go Talk to my. Talk to my therapist. He's ABRO. kind of like extending like back cut language because I feel like a lot of times, dudes don't want to do because they're like. They have this picture or that. Vision of what therapy is, and it really is like a way from the old school. Thinking of like I'm crazy, so I have to talk to somebody that's like no were shit out. Talk to somebody that can help you sort shit out and that. I feel like a lot. Especially in the light next community lot much use more also kind of its extended the inability to see it that way. A lot of it is a it's straight up a power power play like with machismo or with toxic masculinity. These people have to feel like they're on top of the food chain and when it comes to therapy. They're like wait. I'm not on the top of the food chain anymore on the bottom, I have to be vulnerable to someone who could potentially use by V. Man Yeah exactly so that is a tough pill to swallow when you've been culturally brainwashed into thinking that for generations right for a tough man like that to suddenly ask for help. And and not just man just in in general if you're if you feel like you're the king or queen or the ruler, and all of a sudden, you have to listen to your subjects to help you. That's a tough pill to swallow. You know and a lot of people can't do that can't happen. That's why. In a lot of media, and like you know and a lot of people's lives like the father figure is dislike. Separate like god-like figure who has like no feelings to the job done deals you what to do, because they the thing that gives them power is the lack of emotions right right? Yeah, so they're. They're infallible. The you're like Oh God. This person has no flaws, but just because someone doesn't say at flaws as I mean they have them right. They don't have them so I. Think with things like therapy riser. You're totally or we need to start normalising that and even being like just because I'm seeing a therapist doesn't mean that I'm weak, right? Which is talk? That's Ho that's toxic. Masculinity is whole mantra in now i. need to be on top and I'm the strongest person here. Roy! Why do you want to be here? Seriously Which? "Any was a disciplinarian, but he never withheld any emotional or physical validation towards me so like I grew up with that seeing that happening at the same time, especially with my mom, also being professional and seeing them both rear us, or or raise us in that manner also have two older sisters. So in a way I feel like. In terms of tax masculinity has also when you grow up and you see something, and you don't get to see the full spectrum of it. It's hard for you to grow up trying to realize there's that you know they're different. Perspectives because I feel like also like in my experience. If I look back thinking about like even just like with cat-calling, like I with see my sister's react negative negatively to it. I didn't see like from the point of yours like I've never seen a work period like I. Maybe it does, but personally like every time growing up that I saw it was never like that guy is whistling like the so like. At a young age I was seeing that from a different point of view, and so like there was definitely chocolate Choke with what how guys or just like as kept growing up. I would see men talk about certain things or act a certain way, which went against which would I was I used to? So it's again. Girls like this or grows. There's a battle. Think so like just a lot of that stuff had to do with me being able to see from an early age and I think that definitely so in a way I feel like. I was I I'm very lucky that I had to that opportunity to grow up in a lot of people. Get that opportunity I feel like I don't know. Does that make sense. That's a lot of stuff a lot of stuff. Not, but you know you listen. You're man you're. You're someone that has to your your somebody that has to break the cycle. No, but it's true though like. Without, you breaking that cycle, and without you like acknowledging the fact that like there is toxic masculinity, and maybe you've done it, and you don't know like. Maybe you've said something. Maybe you don't I. Don't know like League. Nobody is perfect, and there's you know there's. I've done and I'm like. Why did I say when I was younger? Like you know like you hear things I wouldn't offend a person or whatever that is, but I think like I've said this before Toxic masculinity at least within the lat next community It definitely stems from being colonized and you know a Latino men feeling like they have to continue to prove themselves to white society because they are usually the providers for the for the families, and you know and I've read on these kind of things, these studies, or whatever and it goes like so much deeper, and it's not that it makes it okay. It's not like all like my poor dad like Oh my God. He was just trying so hard to know it's. That doesn't make it okay, but I think the biggest thing is like our generation, and the generations like under US have to like. Break the cycle like. You like you can't have a son, and then be like. No, you can't wear pink or you. Can't. You know you can't put on your mom's heels and walk in the House that makes you gay like those are little things like I can't stand like when I've been in like someone's house of my family or my friends and I. See like the little boy putting on their MOMS, heels or like getting the perse. Number one wearing stuff doesn't make you anything like you're born like like I literally have to verbally say that because I think people are still so stupid that think that someone could just to be gay or lesbian or whatever you know, and I think that's something that needs to be talked about more in the the biopiracy like world that he's interesting that you say about. Colonization being a major factor because I do agree with you. However I will also extend The idea of toxic masculinity is a factor of. Religion to be honest with you I think it's like it's a factor of being Roman Catholic the Catholic religion is. Thought you know I mean there is something that I mean. Religion has been constructed to set really solid gender roles in place, or at the very least it's been used to Yes, we'll justify justify. Agreed Private Catholic school from first grade through twelfth grade so. All right and even that. And it's extends for it just besides the toxic masculinity, because once we think about toxic masculinity. Do we think about toxic femininity in that way and I don't think that word even exist toxic femininity right, but I think there is something about power. Masculinity equals power and BMC zing that power. That's what makes it toxic that stems from religion. Right like women in religion. I mean not just Catholicism, but like most religions are Women are subservient to men, because men are seen as the sort of godly figures. The man of the House is such a thing that like. I mean lat next families like that. That is our Bible. You know what I mean. Listen to your father. you know you. You gotta go to Church every Sunday. You got like commit to these. Gender structures that are so set in place that I think it does also factoring. Also talk about like not using protection, and like having children be to procreate in for marriage and all that stuff so like it sets. It sets the toxicities like stems from organized religion. I think I think that's like the source of the thin end tonight. To your point, that is a factor of colonization because Europeans brought that over to South America and there's a history of that right. Religion I also think that there's an expectation I think they're also you run the because you could also argue that there is technically inherently nothing wrong with being the man of the House or having that as a function of family, the problem is when it's expected and or pushed against when it's not the case because I feel like again to talk about my family like my dad. Came from the like he was raised. In a generation where like? The Dow was like the ultimate voice of like a thority, and he also believed that parents should not be friends with their kids because they disrespect, you know. They came from my even more authority and to a certain degree. My my my grandma was. Taking care of by my my grandfather, so I I think in a way that Kinda. My Dad you know, 'cause. My Dad's technically was a baby boomer, so he wrote during a time, so he was I guess in a way like breaking that because he wasn't. He didn't look ended up a being with my Mama was not that my mom was not my grandmother and a lot of times. I think that's what also like you talk about what you look for in that kind of dynamic and how Ra affects what you see is in a way I feel like he started breaking. That will actually. Be Able to have. The shouldn't be like a fast rule like if a household I hate that idea that notion that is so prevalent in pop culture, especially in black and Latte next pop culture where it's like the like little boys has become the man of the house when there's..

Can You Train Yourself to Become Ambidexterous?

"The. World is made up of about ninety percent of right handed people and ten percents, left-handed people folks who are truly ambidextrous, those who use their right and left hand equally well make up a negligible sliver of the population, but is ambidextrous, inherited or learned, and if learned, can it be learned as an adult? We spoke of email with Dr Sebastian. Auckland Berg a professor of psychology at Ruhr University and BOCOM Germany. He said a little bit of both. And this is determined by about twenty five percent, genetic factors and seventy five percent, non genetic factors like environmental influences. It clearly runs families, so it is somewhat inherited, but learning might also affect it I think amdex steady for a specific task. like hitting a tennis ball with the racket is possible, but full embiid extremity for all tasks is unlikely. Handedness being the skill in comfort, a person feels using one hand, or the other is considered a complex genetic trait, and since genes are involved hand, preference develops before a person's even born, but like other complex traits handedness including ambiguity extremity doesn't have a simple pattern of inheritance. Yes there is a greater chance. The children of left-handed parents will also be lefthanded than righties, but remember the chance of being a lefty is just ten percent overall, so most children have lefties are still right handed. An identical twins are more likely than non identical twins to both be either right or left handed, but many of both types do have opposite hand preferences, and that's before we even talk about whether a child's handedness is allowed to develop naturally or whether parents and teachers interfere. Hand dominance typically develops around age three and fully developed by age four to five, but it can be influenced by insisting a child uses their other hand, or by happenstance for example when he was four years old, former major league baseball pitcher Billy Wagner broke his right elbow and spent the summer in a cast. In his memoir Wachner victory recalls being a natural righty at the time and already mad for baseball, but for the next six weeks he threw only left-handed when the cast came off, he was in for a surprise when he tried throwing with his right, the ball went nowhere had lost not a strength of coordination for throwing with his right arm and gained it in his left. Wagner wrote. I was a natural righty then and still am I do everything right handed eat told tools right start lawnmower everything except pitch. Wagner wouldn't be considered ambidextrous though he's certainly managed to have an incredibly successful career working with his non dominant hand. Baseball is full of players who switch hit meaning. They hit equally well from either the left or right side, and are comfortable, facing left or right handed pitchers, some like hall of Famers, Eddie Murray Mickey Mantle and Chipper Jones were successful, but they like. Wagner weren't truly ambidextrous. Which is something? That's very difficult to do, but why the? Lindburg said headedness is something that is generated in the brain, not the hands as such. The half the brain contra lateral to the hand is better in controlling fine motor movements for example, the left brain hemisphere in right handers. The strength of this preference varies between individuals. Some people have a very strong preference for one hand, and resulting from that greater issue in using the other for specific tasks, so it's the brain that sets the barrier. But if the brains, that's the barrier. The brain can also remove it. Take the case of Billy McLaughlin. McLaughlin is an award winning guitarist known for a unique style of play, placing both hands on the Fredbord, Originally predominantly a right handed guitar player, but in the late nineteen nineties despite having a record at number seven on the billboard. He was struggling with control problems. He was missing notes when he played an experienced muscle spasms to the point that he was unable to perform. Finally in two thousand one McLaughlin was diagnosed with focal Dystonia, a movement disorder, causing muscles to contract involuntarily, though advised to find another career McLaughlin opted to teach himself to play left handed and he succeeded. So this begs the question. Can we teach ourselves to become ambidextrous as adults? A two thousand seven study found that as we age, we actually become more ambidextrous without even trying in part because the hands that we use more loses. Its dominance of the study was small. It included sixty participants all strongly right handed according to the Edinburgh handedness inventory, the participants completed various computerized dexterity tests, which included line tracing and aiming task and tapping the youngest group average age, twenty five years performed all the skills proficiently using their right hand, the Middle Age participants average age fifty years performed well using either hand on the gaming task while the two oldest groups average ages, seventy and eighty years performed just as well using either hand on all tasks except one. However overall performance appeared to decline with increasing age especially for the participants dominant hand, leading researchers to believe that quote, we become more ambidextrous as we get older because dominant hand loses its superior dexterity, and becomes more like are weaker hand. Some people have wondered whether attempting to become ambidextrous could strengthen the brain and potentially slow or fight the effects of aging or dementia Allen Berg said that's a myth, while it is true in general that brain training is a good idea when aging research has shown that what at strengthened is what is trained, so if I trained to write with my non dominant hand, this would affect the motor brain areas of the contra lateral half the brain, but not the areas involved in memory. Thus a specific memory training would make more sense in aging and dementia.

"Issue too on the McLaughlin group I mean I'll show Michael question so Michael do you one of the things I've been thinking about here is that as we progress through the summer potentially into the full with this you know second certifications do you think there's a possibility of a coming generational divide do you think there's a potential way younger Americans say actually you know what enough is enough we are going out because three or four months of this stuff is too much and I'm unemployed and I'm depressed or whatever it might be yeah no timing a lot of when you are struggling to buy homes because they're still paying college debt as we know data indicates a lot of reviews after college I moved back in with their parents we're getting married later on we're having kids later on and again it all points back to economics however I'm not necessarily Sir Tom that those millennials were charmed will turn out in droves for former vice president Biden because reality is all datas should suggest that they're not very excited about the former vice president and that's why I think whoever he decides to choose as running mate will play a pivotal role going into November as in regards to encouraging those millennials younger voters who are frankly more excited about Bernie Sanders to potentially turn out offers for Joe Biden younger voters aren't always reliable voters and so in I'm the vice president and I'm advising him I would say you need to choose someone to excite this group otherwise you may have a very difficult time the president in November first you think Stacey Abrams is that possible you're on the hook for it this is a very very impressive candidate or central candidate a lot of folks are are screening for Stacey I have the same darn well I've learned from experience and my long long life that you cannot rely on the running mate to carry the ticket well who spend day and night trying to decide who's going to be the perfect running mate despite so she doesn't make a difference disparage scrimmage it kills thanks an old folks home should kill spoke she were elderly with preconditions goes after doctors and nurses it goes after urbanized people murdered more than rural people and I agree with you the younger you're most likely to start protesting and rebel and the longer it goes on because there's there's just certain sense you know the different vegetable and involved with these pressures you're exactly describing what I think are coming to look for and again they're not dominant they're grieving owner there you're going to grow and grow and grow in the country's gonna demand we're gonna throw the shackles off after all if we lost as many men as we did in Vietnam we we didn't shut down the country during the war during World War two or even during the civil war I don't see any demand to throw off the shackles I do see a lot of demand to get testing out there and make it convenient so that our policymakers and healthcare providers you know what you're dealing with right now well I think we're getting there that letter good people working there you do drugs scenes I think the whole show a great reluctance to open up the economy without a substance that you're you you you and she got some measure of safety out there so I you know I I think we're good for a good through may I think the pressure a lady in July but I don't see any large scale events until next year and I think it's I'm actually amazed how how people adapt you know wearing a mask is is quite commonplace now when you go out and if you would tell me that would be the case you know a month even a month ago I wouldn't have believed it so I think people are showing you know great resilience and understanding of the hell it's usually legal expires okay all right exit question very quickly just a number one to ten one being the likelihood that the books behind me represents a manifest improvement on or eight manifestly larger like read the package contents Leiber and ten being president is thinking about the chances of his reelection at the moment one to ten how likely is it Stacey Abrams is the democratic VP nominee I would put in a five to ten percent at most I think of the senator from California would be pretty much offended it should work the next day she's a programmer given our ground only talk to the numbers Alana Levene yeah I I I think the notion that she could be an instant president is not necessarily again then I would put it four okay currents yeah I would give it a five I think you're hard to the right place done with that question a woman who would be great on the ticket and by the way promised that no color specially black voters are so key democratic success that would be great for buying to help somebody visibly okay sure Michael very quick I would say for Tom because my question is who is Stacey Abrams based on my calmly here she hasn't proven herself on the national stage as of yet okay I'm gonna.

"mclaughlin" Discussed on The Horse Racing Radio Network Podcast

"The APP for sure I mean. I've always been. I've been pretty easy on jocks agents and jockeys as a trainer because I feel like there's so many top riders and that I never got real upset having a jockey. Take off of a horse but It's helped me a lot and understand it and figure it out and hopefully Know what's going on now? I don't WANNA get too upset about losing amount because you'll pick up another mouse. I remember Years Ago Do Ramon Dominguez one on embassy for the first race back from new by and his age and at the time gave me a call on July first in the suburban his next race after winning the PIMLICO special and then he called me three weeks from the race and told me. I'm sorry but I have to go to rod for Graham Motion In California to the the Oaks Hollywood okay and I said listen. I understand no problem. I'll get a jockey and I talked to Rick Nicholls. And who do you WANNA get into? This happened to be right after the Belmont of jazz a winning Har- why wouldn't you use for Nando Rick Nicholls So well he's just eighteen years old and he's a good runner. I guess we can use them. No product that's who you WANNA use. So that's how Fernando gotta on endless or is a jocks agent taken off of Our horse after winning big race. So you'll learn a lot of things and try and Hallam but mainly I try and just not get too many switches in and get anybody up. So I'm always curious and for people that don't know what a jocks agent does certainly Karen is doing a great job of laying it out for you here this afternoon but I'm always curious Karen from an agent's perspective what's more important to make sure that your writer has amount in every race on the program if possible or selecting the right spots for your writer to be an even if it's not every race yeah now almost prefer not to be in every race because at this time and his Level of Rod. And you know you would rather just probably right if there's ten races if you wrote eight of them every day 'cause it's hard work. They are very fit athletes and have to work hard and to ride twelve races. Every day is very hard. Louis loves it. He's twenty eight years old and he wants to ride if there's thirteen races. He wants to ride all thirteen. But it's better to have quality and ride important horses than ride every race. You're trying to ride the best races and the best horses. Is there a difference in your stress level? Now being jocks agent as opposed to when you were training well he said to me the last day she said you know. There's a lot of hours. You're on the phone doesn't stop and I know but it's great to the the people are calling and I'm having to reach out to people so the stress levels definitely not as stressful as training. Because you have to deal with your help and the horses and the owners so if I picked the wrong horse is not a big deal. It is your feelings. Get a little hurt if you make a mistake or your ride for someone a loser instead of another person that asks you to ride. But it is what it is. I mean I put pressure on myself every day. And hopefully that's why we do a good job as put pressure on yourself to ride the right or but it's not as stressful at this time. And you have to make sure you get to McDonald's in the mornings too right. Yeah that's what's fun sometimes is taking the help that you know the backbone to our operation of the hot walkers grooms and exerciser honors forms assistant trainers and. I know that from being a trainer for so long so I went out yesterday morning. Took a hundred egg mcmuffin sausage egg. Mcmuffins todd pletcher and George Weaver. They both trained at Palm Beach downs and we were lucky to win a race for both the last few days so I took a hundred of them for all their help and they were very appreciative. And then I took more McDonald's this morning Stan Huffing. John Kimmel. We'd want them. We want our first race as agent for Stan Huff. Who's a good friend? It was made in twelve five but I felt great to win for him and it was exciting to win so I took them. Mcdonald's it won't happen all the time but I do. WanNa take bagels or McDonald's or doughnuts to the help because they do appreciate it you gotta be careful not to set the bar too high right off the bat either. They're going to be wanting what steak and eggs next right. Yeah exactly. Sometimes we'll get sandwiches delivered You know like a six foot sub sandwich and different things will pizzas. We'll talk to the help and see what they prefer going forward with it during these tough times. I'm not really even allowed on the backstretch right now. So funny I had someone asks me about Louis. Working Horse said he's not allowed to be on the backside and I'm not allowed to be on the backside but I still have my trainers bad so I drove on in and delivered the McDonald's myself both places but it's a weird time right now. Yeah well you're lucky you don't have to sell. Lewis is like you would a young writer that people have never heard of. I mean. He's a veteran. He's one more than twenty four hundred races. How do you describe Louis? Sayas his writing style and his approach to the game. He's got a great attitude is a really good person is wife and three daughters. They have and they've been married since they were like eighteen years old so ten years they've been together and he loves being at home with his wife and kids he's very hard worker And is it takes his job very serious. He is great at warm and horses up and break and sharply in the afternoon. He would prefer to be forwardly place. He doesn't have to go the lead by any means but he would like to put him in in the game and he rides them a hundred and ten percent. He gives you every time. He's very very strong. If you ever saw him without his shirt on him and he is very very strong. One of the strongest finishers in the game and he has a great attitude and he works hard and he's just a great person well and it seems like a great fit for you now that you move into the second career. Are there still parts of training that you've already started domestic? The luckily the main thing is probably the people you know you forget about every day. Saying hello to fifty people every day and it's nice to see away some on the Pony C. Barclay Tag. You know on Pony C. Assistance. You see trainers so. Luckily the vadsoe blacksmith luckily right now not able to go out and see him all. I've been out a couple of times. I probably shouldn't have gone out but I will in the future be able to see everybody and I think. That's what's great about being jocks agent for me. Is I get to see all the friends and people that have worked with for. You know our our no for the last thirty years. And that's FUN CARE. Mclaughlin my special guest here on trainer talk presented by Phase Tipton. Do you think Kirin at some point. You might be able to give me a ride to the airport. Sure whatever whatever it takes be happy to give you a ride to their boy if I recall. There's a story surrounding that particular. After you left Aquidneck one day. Tell me that story. Yeah as we add. I drove a White Lincoln Continental. And there's all these taxes service online on and a lot of them were white. Lincoln's just like my car and I WANNA raise back with us you know was getting some gas and and I had two times who happened to me. I was getting gas one day and a guy asked me if you give them a ride to the airport. Aren't you all these taxes or no in another time? They didn't let didn't want to let me in stable gate and I was going back and I had already in the backseat. My assisted and they stopped me at the gate. They thought I was a taxi. They didn't realize who I was or who already was down because we trained at Belmont every day and we didn't go to act without except to race horses and arty was in the backseat. So it's Kinda Funny Times but yes I'm I'm willing to give tyrod therefore appreciate that and I remember Raji Mirage telling this story about I believe was a yellow lexus. Maybe that he was driving and somebody had actually jumped into the back seat of his car thinking that he was a taxi waiting to give him a ride. I think that was in Manhattan. But yeah so things like that happens sometimes when you think you you're doing great people know who you are. Then you get let down come back down and get humbled a little bit. That Camaraderie is something. That is irreplaceable. I know a lot of sports have great. Camaraderie and teammates are involved with each other and they do a lot of things off the field together. Whatever it might be but in horse racing there are so many individual professions like training horses for example. Like being jockey that you have to kind of work a little bit to bring these people together but somehow it all comes together in that camaraderie is is second to none carrying you playing poker games. You've always done that That's a lot of fun with a lot of racetrack. People talk about that that Camaraderie and that that close knit group that that exists around the race tracks. Yeah I like to say we're a big family on the backstretch So from coast to coast. We're a big family and yet when we go on the starting gate as competitive and we want to win or we want to beat the next guy but we really are close family and then and then need when people are in need we try and reach out to help and Everybody's looking after one another. It's a different world. You know basically the race track but everybody is always there to help one another in need and otherwise. We're trying to win races and beat up on each other in the afternoon. But that's what makes the game. Great looks like we're down to well inside the final furlong here on this trainer talk edition about five minutes left or so. I'll have a little fun with here at the end Kieran Not that we haven't had fun for this hour. It's been a extremely enjoyable visit. We'll tell people if they missed any portion. They can go to our website horse racing radio dot net to check out the podcast but more devastating for you as somebody who went to UK grew up in Lexington that second place finish with closing argument. And the two thousand five Kentucky Derby or having your daughter tell you that she's going to go and be a Florida. Gator was being second in the Kentucky Earth for was not worried about Where and went to school. I was happy. She went to Florida's probably a little better academic school anyway So I was happy. She went to Florida and my son went to vanderbilt which is for sure about her academic school any chance. We're going to see some pictures of Kieran out there that with that mustache that you were sporting there years ago now you know it's funny being here in. The House is last couple of weeks. I thought about growing a beard and mustache. Because just because you're just sitting around the house but I I wasn't happy and so I decided to shave and get up and go do something. I can't sit around too long. So if you're not at the race track you get a little time away with letty or maybe even just by yourself what other hobbies or interest as care McLaughlin half. Well we bought a lot and I both liked to watch sports on TV. A lot and I play poker a little bit here and there but I don't go to any casino last two months for sure so But mainly we love each other and we hang out together and she loves our sport and we watch TV. Gee All day nowadays too so you know watching racists from home so And obviously our children are very important to us what they're doing and we enjoy life. Well it sounds like you're enjoying it and it sounds like you've made the right decision And hearing your story and looking back on your career Karen I can't thank you enough. I've always said people like you and todd and so many other people that are involved in this game have always been so good to me Always so accommodating whenever I'm looking for an interview you're always willing to come on and I can't thank you enough and I. I wish you all the best in this new career with Louis. Thank you very much. This might be one of my last interviews because Jock ages don't get interviewed very often. So I'm happy to have this on tape someday to look back and and think about so thanks for everything. You do for thoroughbred racing. It's been great with your. You know you're a team of people and I enjoy talking to everybody. Yeah and you're GONNA stay on my list to even though you're a jockey's agent you're on my list. I still have your number we'll We'll be in touch and people here from Kieran again. No doubt about it preceded Karen. Okay thank you very much. Appreciate Cure McLaughlin here. "We laugh the travel trailer in California in Nineteen Eighty six and then moved into a house or apartment. But I was you know it was not easy moving impact and all the time and she was always great and beyond me one hundred percent and that helped a lot and then having children They've always been there and supportive and loves our business. And she's in our business as a Breeders Cup Ryan. Luckily is in the finance world and he's very bright kid and works for Merrill Lynch but he too loves our business. Yeah Aaron your daughter was born when you were still working for Wayne Lukas. If I'm not mistaken and isn't there a story there about leaving todd pletcher in charge of the operation when you were gone when she was born. Yeah that was a good story such a good race. Track wife that she Had Aaron on Tuesday morning a dark day at four thirty three. Am and I was with her all night through the night and when Aaron was born I called the barn it was before cell phones and and Todd pletcher answered the phone and he was my form and assistant in New York under Wayne and I so we had a baby girl all is well and he said gray and I said You take care of things this morning. I've been up all night on. I'm not coming in and So what do you want me to do with them? I said whatever you do is correct thing draining the horses. I don't know I'll see you later. I think I laughed divorces in good hands with Todd. Pletcher that relationship between you and todd in your family and has been a relationship that is as strong. Today as it's ever been Tell me a little bit about that relationship carrying a why. It is so special. Yeah it's great because Todai. He worked with me for three years. I hate to use the word under me. But he worked with me for three years and his wife Tracy and my wife are very close friends and we've remained close friends. Even when I was in Dubai would talk to them and we luckily came back every summer. And we both live in Garden City. And so we're very close and the children are children a little bit older than his but they're like brother and sister are cousins. They're very close. And it's a great relationship and now I have to lean on him a little bit put. Lewis is on some of those fast sources concerning it. Yeah how does that conversation? Go when you when you call them. I go. He's very organized and he's great to do business with has a Jock Ceja. When the new book comes out I will call him. I say our tax him but usually call him and say let's go over the book and then he'll give me calls throughout the book and then we'll have some question marks these we'll get we'll go back over it again and then we'll go over it again and again but mostly he's pointing for the races and I don't ask him the horses names because he's the best arrive four and sometimes I might have to not ride for him and for someone else but not very often because he does so when you and todd were both working with Wayne and Wayne has a reputation now because he's trained turned out so many great trainers that were assistants or foreman's for him when when he was a really bad things rolling back in the day. But when you in. Todd were there together did. Did you have a sense care in that? He could be vis caliber of horse trainer. Yes I did. I mean he his father. Jj Plaza was a great trainer. When I was a kid in hot springs in the early eighties late seventies Todd's father was a very good trainer and well respected a great person and an so. Todd had a a great He had a great avenue to do well or Was always going to do well but he works so hard and he's very similar to Wayne is a perfectionist. And he he just there was no question he was gonNA do. Great and and it has come to fruition with him doing so well you never you knew he was. GonNa do Great. Why had so many trainers today had so much success after going through the Wayne Lukas Program? It's a good question. Wayne was always a schoolteacher and a coach and he's been a great teacher and a coach for all of us. But if you weren't able to get up at four in the morning show up to work every day and beyond your game you won't GonNa make it with Wayne so anybody that would work for Wayne over. A period of time was going to be successful One way or the other but all of us were assistant. Trainers wanted to be trained or so. He was a great coach and a great teacher for all of us. How many years were you with Wayne Karen seven years and I I like to say when I was nineteen years old eighteen. Nineteen or twenty. I took my trainers test in Lexington Kentucky under keen Dangerfield a famous old Stewart in Kentucky racing. That was pretty tough. Stewart and I took my trainers test and I passed it and he called me into his office. One on one. After I took the four hour exam many of us took it. And he said what are you? GonNa do with this trainer's license and I said well I have a good friend. Alvin hanes he's GonNa give me a couple of horses. I'M GONNA go to La- Tonja back then or turf way or the Kentucky Training Center and Train and he said. I highly recommend you don't do that is that I recommend you go to work for the biggest outfit. You can go to work for because otherwise you're going to train. You'RE GONNA train two or three claiming horses and you're GONNA charge two or three or five dollars less than the guy and the next bar trying to get more horses and you're always going to be claiming trainer. Go to work for the biggest outfit. You can go to work for and meet the right people at the right time and you could. And the sky's the limit and that was in like nineteen seventy nine or nineteen eighty and wow was a great advice and I got lucky to get with Wayne after Mark Cassidy. They pass in my father-in-law John Hand and a couple of other people but That that was a great advice. How did you? How were you put in touch with? Wayne and and reach out to him. Initially to say hey. Can I have a job? That's a good question. I was working for Tim. Muckler at Arlington Park in nineteen eighty four and Wayne brought a Philly and Lives Magic until two -lating brought to Phillies at different times and he asked the racing office or the races Secretary who where the Best Barn. I want to be in a nice bar and Tim. Aqua Barn was beautiful landscapes had speaker Boehner the bar and we had a speaker. Pa system in the bar and everything was beautiful. The flowers and all Wayne Wayne's way and he asked to go in that barn so I was the assistant there and I met him on race day or the day before the race and And visit with him that day and told him that if ever anything opened up. I started out as a hot walker. I love to go to work for him. And so we stayed in touch and He came in there twice like in July and September and then I stayed in touch on the phone with him and he finally asked me to come to so Santa Anita January nineteen eighty five. I started February. Nineteen eighty five and We drove from Miami. All the way to California lot in I started there and So worked out great. What do you remember about walking into his barn at Santa Anita for the first time? Well the funny thing was. He told me to meet him at the donut shop at four. Am and was close to Santa. Anita and I was thinking what the Hell I never worked for anybody that start at four am I said so dark. I wonder what you do so I didn't want to be late and I was excited to get there and I had twenty minute drive and I got to the donut shop at three forty five and he was their cup of coffee. Probably a doughnut and He we went with him to the track. I followed him up to try and we started at four. Am and Nita. And he would do the settlers Steph for I. Am You know? Check on the horses and the weather and make sure the truck was fast and okay and then he would do. The set lists that morning between four and five thirty one. The Track Open. Tanny wouldn't make the phone calls couple people from back east with call and to because it's three hours difference but I remember starting was so excited to be around such good horses and and Wayne too. He was like you know a hero to me. I was lucky that when I was twelve years old. I wrote a paper. I wanted to be a horse trainer like Charlie Wittingham Because Charlie. Winning wasn't big name. Then in nineteen seventy two seventy three so. I was living my dream being there and I was a little bit nervous. I didn't want to do anything wrong and I wanted to make sure I got up and got there on time then I was late one morning though at Trysofi went off. My alarm. Didn't go off and I got there like thirty minutes late but it was an hour late for me because I was always there at four thirty and I didn't get there to five thirty that morning. And he just looked down at me from the pony and he didn't have the same nice. I'm so sorry. My electricity went off. It'll never happen again. And I went and bought to wind up alarm clocks and electric electric time clock so I had three alarm clocks to make sure I got up. We didn't have the phones back then to sadden alarm so Those are some that early. Memory visiting with trainer Kerr McLaughlin here on trainer talk presented by Phases Tipton. In total he has saddled one thousand five hundred seventy seven career winners. Runners have earned more than get this one hundred twenty million dollars purses which means. He's been winning a lot of the right races to all of that. Tremendous success made his announcement on March fourth. Even more difficult for many of us to comprehend the fifty nine year old native of Lexington Kentucky announced he would retire from training to become jocks agent for talented Lewis. I S and if you haven't figured it out yet I'm talking about trainer Kerr McLaughlin please join me in welcoming him to trainer talk presented by. Tipton here this afternoon cure. Welcome my friend thank you. Thanks for having me yeah. I know that I could've gone on and on and on and spent much of this hour playing race clips of so many of the great horses you train but those two moments. They're gearing boy. What a ride this has been for you. Yeah it's been a great ride and you know first of all during these crazy corona virus times. I just like to say you know my thoughts and prayers with so many people that are affected by this crazy you know virus and so many people are affected in one way or another. And we're happy to be home with my wife in quarantine basically not quarantine but shut down in the House. And and able to work on the phone as a jocks agent But those great calls of horses some of my favorite courses for sure and it's been a great career. It was a tough decision to to hang up my my training career but it's really a great opportunity to work for a very talented jockey. And Lewis is going forward over the past three years Kieron. You've won nineteen greatest stakes races. So it's not like your operation had tailed off in any way you were still going strong. Why Walk Away Now? Well it was a one was an opportunity with Louis Sayas to. There's a lot of issues with the business. Now you know with the expenses of running a business at a top level and trying to do things everything. Right was very expensive and difficult and It just Kinda was a perfect storm for me when Lewis is came available. I wasn't jocks agent way back in Nineteen Ninety two and nineteen ninety three for Chris and so I know what it's about and how to do it and and I just thought it was a great opportunity because of the issues with the expense of running a big outfit. Yeah in Louis. Sayas you get a veteran writer who has won more than twenty four hundred races in his career. He's won a slew of stakes victories. That had to help make your decision to leave training just a little bit easier. Didn't it Yes for sure. That's why I say I think is one of the best jobs in American racing. A lot of people around the world might not understand that but it is a very very good job in American racing. `specially you know for me To have an experienced doing it before but just to answer the phone and try and pick the right horse. It's a great opportunity. It's not like I'm trying to take a young jockey that people don't know he's a top rider and one of the best in the country and it's nice to be able to just pick the right horse hopeful you know carrying you. Don't just walk away from something like the career that you had training horses without a lot of thought and consideration and talking to your family. I know that there had parts of that decision that we're agonizing for you so I guess my question is what what was the most difficult part or what has been the most difficult part of giving up training. Well it's probably the the relationships that I've developed over the years with owners and people and hopefully those relationships can keep going Obviously I can text to own or talk to racing managers but the help you know. I had help with me forever ago. Back to art. Magnuson was winning twenty two years when I went. I went to new by had my sister-in-law Lisa Walker started and and Neil interests were with me from the very beginning of my brother meal his wife. Tryst and summit exerciser ours and grooms inform. And we're with me for twenty years and that was very difficult But Luckily Neil and Tricia there were with me at this time. already had already left that years ago but All the all the help and relationships with people and the competitiveness of trying to win the big races it was always great to try and pick the right spots for the horses. Try and get the right jockeys. And and it's a competitiveness to but I haven't lost that in having a jockey now trying to win races so that's how do you hope that people remember? Carrie McLaughlin the trainer. That's a good question. I mean I would say that I was. I worked every day saying I was not I was out every day working and I treated everybody Properly whether as a hot walker. That's what's so neat about our business when you think some mornings at Saratoga literally was standing next to billionaires or speaking to him on the phone and working with hot walkers and grooms and it just is nowhere in the world. Do you have that probably Ratio are I don't know exactly the wording of of status of people but it's need to think that you know I dealt with all of them well and got along with everybody very well and and that what is needed about our business and hopefully people you know. I never mistreated anybody. That's what makes me so mad. That the governor put that the Chad Brown Nine Linda. Rice were stealing people's money. Basically and that's not that's the furthest thing from the truth and that had a lot to do with my decision making. I'm still waiting for federal fine on H. Two Bs because I always tried to do things right but The lawyer made a few mistakes. And I don't know what it's GonNa cost me still but I never mistreated aim by or did anything wrong Add on took care of all my people very well. When you think about one hundred twenty million I would stake the grooms and exercise riders. Twelve million of those dollars are how a million to. I'm sorry a million two of those dollars over the years and that's why they stayed with me forever one percent they're grown got one. Exercise OTTERS got so our treated everybody very well talking with trainer. Care McLaughlin here on talk presented by Phasing Tipton and you heard me reference. It was early March when he announced that he would give up training to be jock. Agent for Louis Sayas and we'll talk about what he's doing now. We'll talk about the role of Jock agent and we'll get his thoughts on if it's something that's maybe even a little bit different now than it was back when he was working with Chris and years and years ago Hearing you talk about that situation in New York that played out. And you said you're still waiting on some things to come down and maybe some more fines. Or whatever it may be has training racehorses the professional training racehorses become almost I guess I'll use the word impossible to to run a business and make money with. Yeah it's not impossible. No but it's very difficult to one other thing that. I didn't have much access to That some other big trainers do have are breeding writes and commissions buying and selling horses. I never really bought many horse or so many horses and the stallions I didn't have breeding writes many stallions. I did have some but not that many so that helps with your income to cover some of the losses that you might have in everyday expensive but it is hard to make it work and is it's hard to raise your day rate. Every year are ever at all. I feel bad for some trainers. That are trying to do it for a hundred. A hundred and ten dollars a day because it's just so expensive with the health All the laws are going up. The minimum wage is going up in New York. The salary and wages going up it is very very difficult. I don't WanNA use the word impossible. But it is a very difficult. What would you tell a young trainer that comes to looking to get started in the game today? Well I have several friends that are young and and I it's a passion like I had and I hate to see him not carry on and do it. It's just difficult to do and you must win raises. Because that's the temper sent helps again you know. Fill in the gaps of losing money. Here are their pay the feed man so. I don't want to discourage anybody horse racing business has been very very good to me and my family so I'm happy. There's young guys that want to try to make it go and train horses and it's important and like chat browns not old by any means and he does very well tat. Todd pletcher and how there's but it's it's not easy like. I think it was easier back in the seventies eighties nineties. Two thousand. It's not so easy anymore with all the regulations. If you could go back here in and do this whole thing over again would there be anything in particular that you would do differently or maybe change a little bit Looking back on things. No that's one thing I say so lucky to have gone to do by November nineteen ninety-three. That was a very difficult tough decision. Not You know difficult. My wife was pregnant with our son and heir and was two and a half years old so when I got on a plane to go halfway across the world and you know back then I didn't know exactly what I was getting into. It was a great decision and it was fabulous that it all worked out I would not change anything. It was great to see all parts of the world. Both of my children were able to see you know. We stopped and Switzerland on the way back or France or Amsterdam England and it was great exposure to be inexperienced to see the the world and we the mock tune family. No one better to work for in the world and the mock tune family and shad well and good off and both they have thousands of employees thousands of horses all over the world and they're great to work for and I was just one of the lucky ones and my wife and kids to experience that we live there ten years and came back in two thousand and three and I was able to keep training form until you know last week. You know to have somebody like letty by your side. And of course. She comes from a racing background to but to have her by your side. When you're trying to make a difficult decision like that with a very young family that had to meet an awful lot and that had to help a lot didn't it. Yeah she's been so supportive throughout Was You know? Think back when we first started on the race track and got married in nineteen eighty three and we had a pick up truck and a travel trailer and went from Miami to Los Angeles Center Louisville Chicago and The moves around a lot to New Jersey with Wayne to New York..

"You're listening to a previously recorded episode of the McLaughlin group issue three UFOs are real going against the women's it is it is it's that video was recorded in two thousand fifteen but the crew of the US navy F. eighteen fighter jet it was later released alongside two other videos by the to the stars academy of arts and science a group which includes former government officials and late last year the navy confirmed that the object you just sort is indeed unidentified phenomena so what's going on here well your moderator has learned that the US government assesses that these objects often seen around nuclear powered US aircraft carriers on not controlled by a foreign power the objects which very inform have been recorded instantaneously accelerating the hypersonic speeds without using jet propulsion traveling in hundreds of notes under the water and shielding themselves from visual and radar detection that doesn't mean the alien in nature but it does mean something interesting is going on such is this an issue that really does demonic more government accountability publication of classified materials I would say yes I mean first of all how cool is that but it's just this time there's more that hasn't been released which aren't even cooler oh absolutely and and this is a phenomenon that is happening I'm I'm more skeptical than anybody so before I saw that video I was much more of a doubter but but look this in my view is one of the biggest human interest stories that's gaining the least human interest and it's just utterly confusing this story has gotten a little bit of a pop within the last year because there was a New York times article that sort of kind of nudged it a little bit more how do you stop into the establishment and you know I it it to me it's amazing that it doesn't get more attention but it is something that deserves more attention and look forward developing a space force right so as we're going it's the next frontier so this is something that deserves some kind of additional is it that little enable like thing that we're supposed to be focused on in that video yes all right well if there were wherever they're coming from we need the help now let's send out the signal I'm I'm I'm sure that people are studying this in the military or they wouldn't put out this notice that they DO I'm not sure it deserves you know a full scale attention by the by the government I'm still pretty skeptical I think it could be a collection of pollution frankly well I mean that the the tracks and radar so now it's indicates mechanical and and the way these advocates react when they interact with the pilots suggest intelligent control such but on this point right there there's a hell of a lot more we don't know here that we've got so chemicals which one was it will be one of the other clans cabinet member said the right laws he was it was not as if it were yeah yes it said his name was the first thing Bill Clinton wanted to see when I got the oval office what was the final what I would do maybe we can distract trump with this one of the things as I recall the first vehicles were spotted running ninety forty eight I but I I believe that I have a project yeah back when I was a kid we were reading about this I wish all the same place we're seeing pictures but nobody has any explanation nobody even talked talking about who's studying this is there really an X. files department of the FBI or something looking at it I think it's built apparently be weighted maneuvers is what really is is with the the giveaways SO that IT at the controls for Jones also the full for just some of the vehicle that is not like what we got now I think all of you well just a flying object I'm propulsion is one of the most compelling factors here and and that video there was some talk tracks of something under the water that was big the indication being baby that was controlling the sticks but again I take it out and is skeptical I with a good degree of respect a lot of Jim what's your take on this well I think we've always had it is this to be a big part of the public imagination but because we associate it so much with fiction I think that that has the you know the science fiction element of this engenders skepticism and there's so much that we don't know and there's so much that hasn't been shared with us if this is but a small percentage of the the the of what they actually have it's really legitimate object of public interest if if this really is sort of representative of all that they have them we're kind of in loch ness monster territory you know big foot like you watch the Grady video and some people see it and some people don't you know pollution intelligent life whatever but but I think it does stand to reason that there is there are other things out in the universe so it's it's not shocking and it's something that Americans I think in particular have always been fascinated by why did the military decided to release this did they get pressure from within pressure from the scientific community it wasn't pressure from Tom Rogan on this one that I do have some boy request pending I I what happened here I think is that it was it was not classified that video there is a classified one and it was probably our failure of classification and so it caught fire requested by the former head of the Pentagon's research program your fights they released it and they sort of broken the bank now and and so one of the interesting things here though is that the broad portfolio of knowledge surrounding this stuff tracks from some of the ballistic missiles satellites to see if China five something in us we have a warning bell stuff coming into orbit where did that come from the broader question if you explain theoretical physics as to how something could operate without jet propulsion you quickly jump to at space time manipulation in times of anti gravity because those things before Matty gravity and hypersonic instantaneous you cannot do that with normal understanding to mention you can have it now I I know I always say it's you know it's just we're talking about this issue the need to temper it too thank you very confidently you can back up whether that be very good sourcing at trusting sourcing or factual understanding because I'm well aware that this is a relatively young person who's aging badly this issue if what what I've written about it if I try to if it turns out to be pollution my credibility is a good guy soaring into the sky city well one of the things that I've learned is that there seems to be some kind of a corollary some kind of a connection between this sort of a phenomenon and the location of nuclear sites.

threw her support behind the former vice president saying quote I believe in joke we need a leader who really does care about the people and who can therefore unify the people and I believe Joe can do that and with us right now was ABC news political analyst Steve Roberts Steve what a difference a week makes it did you anticipate Joe Biden picking up this mode the momentum this quickly no I have not I don't think anybody did I I think what we're what we're seeing though is a fascinating phenomena based on one word and that word is fear it's fear of Donald Trump and fear of Bernie Sanders Joe Biden has not been reborn as some useful charismatics move talking energetic candidates Joe Biden today is still the same Joe Biden that people have a lot of doubts about two weeks ago two months ago two years ago the difference is that Democrats have so desperate so frantic to find somebody who can beat Donald Trump that they decided that day either as a group and individually as voters and as candidates they'll camel Harris being an example of of having to rally around somebody and then choosing between Biden and Sanders the fear of Bernie Sanders is pulling the party too far to the left so there's a lot of energy around the Biden candidacy right now but in my view it's largely negative energy it's driven by fear it's driven by desperation there are not a lot of Democrats even this morning jumping up and down in Saint Joe Biden's gonna be a great candidate a great president but this negative energy is very powerful and that's what's driving this trend do you think it's now his to lose or is it too early to say that definitely has to lose end up and I think it's gonna be very difficult for Bernie Sanders to rebound here the one variable of course the one no wild card is by himself as I say he has not been report he's still the guy who can show astounding lapses of judgment he's still the guy who could make gaffes he's still the guy who can show his age very clearly he's still the guy who can appear fumbling and uncertain and in debates with Bernie Sanders and interviews it's still entirely possible for him to make damaging mistakes I think a lot of Democrats even if they rally around by they're holding their breath and hoping that Biden will get its act together and I've seen some signs a few signs of Byton improving on the stop I think he's shown a little bit more energy I think the campaign line about I'm the candidate of those who have been left behind it counted out is a defective and powerful line really echoes of a bill to written of nineteen ninety two the comeback kid although Biden's hardly a kid he's more the comeback teaser than the comeback kid and also this line of of of appealing to the concepts of dignity and civility and normalcy I think they provide a fairly stark contrast to the president who's in the oval office now but Biden is still Biden it was all of his flaws but at this point he's the Democrats best hope and it's gonna be very difficult for Sanders to capture Steve thanks for your thoughts again this morning ABC news political analyst Steve Roberts it's also worth noting that this morning one of the former Post Time: Fountain of Youth is leap day for Derby hopefuls

"Happy Fountain of Youth Day. Thank you thank you starting early today for so eleven. Thirty fourteen racist today so should be a good one. I don't know if people think chancellor card yet but I mean it's just stacked start to finish so we're we're gearing up for a day. How's the weather down there today? Good conditions it's great It was very breezy and on the chilly side yesterday. Obviously not Florida are rolling their eyes at US saying that it's cool but it feels different when it gets colder down in Florida will definitely say that. But it's gorgeous. Today it's going to be low. Seventies son is out a little bit less windy than yesterday as well. Let's start with the Fountain of Youth. That will be the final of the fourteen races on this Saturday program. Twelve horses are entered. There was some conversation about chance it potentially coming out because of the outside post position As of just a little bit ago I think he is still in so some decisions yet to be made but twelve horses set to go. How did you see this one? Yeah he is still and he does have until forty five minutes before the race as is the protocol for Great. It's so he's got some time There was one scratch just of the number two horse in there but This is a tough race chance. It's been really impressive. And Ultra talented and and obviously Fun Horse to watch down here but I did go with the Horse. That actually finished second to him in the Home Watch. Oh man and that is as you know on. Tv For Kelly Brian. I just thought that this course who I had not actually seen him physically before leading into that last race and he really showed me. Both in the flesh needs performance that he was the type that could handle the stroud and distance effectively. I think he's drawn well and he's going to be really tough. Obviously done this moment. It's going to take a lot of attention. Chance it as well and those are some good horses but I'm GonNa land on as seen on TV seen on. Tv Ninety two on the morning line has been extremely consistent. You mentioned the forest arts. Two wins two seconds and that runner up in the mutual macho man last time to to under pokka. Lopez here this afternoon. I'd like to spend more time talking with you about some of the other contenders but in the interest of time here this morning. Let's move on to the race. For the three year old girls we don't want to neglect the phillies The Dow is race number ten one mile on the main track. It will go right around that four o'clock eastern time. Yeah this is an exciting race. You've got tunnel shape city outside Saffy. Joseph's junior has obviously really burst onto the scene this year with the likes of math wizard and then of course potential Derby contender and Chan said and he's also got affiliate that Again is undefeated and turned out to be the first graded stakes winner for Tony. Lists and sire and she even though she's been so impressive it does kind of feel like even in this race that she still has a little something to prove. It'll be interesting I think that the race really revolves around the todd. Pletcher Philly in spices nice. I mean she was just a monster in her debut and I spoke to todd yesterday and he said that she was the phillies but they obviously really had high hopes for given the purchase price and her breathing out of the Dorsey and she not only showed up in her debut. But I watch pretty much all of her recent workouts at Palm Beach downs and I spoke to todd about this too and that she's been training for the most part with some of the really highly touted colts and his part including the point. Who was really well tipped out market analysis. Just some very talented horses. That have won first time out. And she's been training with the colts. A Lotta Sense. Kinda dwarfs inside too. She's a very very big Philly but she has a nice way of moving and they taught it said that was a way of them kind of testing. Just how good is she? And she's really responded to retest. Yeah that I start. She dominated her maiden race on January twelve. She won by twelve ran away from the field. That probably could have been more if they wanted it to be. That was at the same one mile distances. Today's Dimona del Was there a obviously? She was the favourite that day ACACIA but was a palpable buzz around spices. Nice when she walked into the paddock that day there was and you know she would not necessarily be the type of horse that I would pick out in a lineup Just face off of you know looks for a Horse. That would win first. Came out like I said. She's very big she by curl and She has kind of a long stride along next to her and I thought that she was going to win. But I was almost wondering puts. You need a race which you need to turn. And she's just so talented that she was almost kind of able to overcome. Maybe not looking like the precocious sharp I out type of winter so I thought that was really interesting as well. And and obviously this is going to be a tougher spot going right into graded stakes company but think that she is really one of the box. Office potential superstars on the undercard today. And I'm excited to see her. I also use underneath though in Second. I use five reluctant bride. Who I think is good and I like her switching to stay. She's got dirt pedigree and I spoke to Patrick the cone the other day and he said he tries a lot of his horses that he thinks are good. On the turf I F. A. Indian and sold allante being perfect examples and He says he thinks it's an easier trip. And then you switch them to dirt and that just might be where they're most comfortable and that's what he's doing with this one today who just closed so impressively in her first race. And I think that she's got some ability to talking with ACACIA. Courtney from Gulfstream Park here on the Horse Racing Radio Network Again Fountain of Youth Day Fourteen races. We have time to look at one more case you have about a minute or so. Just over that for we have to get to the next segment The Gulfstream Park Mile is race number. Twelve another big field. Eleven horses entered one mile on the main track. And this is a very interesting race gear. Mclaughlin had to including Hi Collin true. Kimber I really like hike. Second also layoff. I think he's GonNa be a big improvement for him today. And I think that it's kind of always flies under the radar is how Creek Hustle. He's actually my top picks some paddock school the other day for Vicki Foley. I think he's actually going seven furlongs. One Turn My. Oh which is what he gets today. just a side note. It's the treat to see Pegasus World Cup runner up MR freeze back. And he'll turn back and distance as well for for Dale Romans who could potentially have a big day. Yeah it could be a huge day for Dale and ACACIA. Has a very busy day ahead of her. So we'll let her go. Acacias squeezed me in this morning. I appreciate you taking a few minutes. Go enjoy the rest of the day and we'll talk soon. Thanks for being here all right. Thanks guys take care. She's the best Acacia Courtney. The little a here on the horse racing radio network do miss having her with us on the network but she's doing good things down there Gulfstream and on some of the other national. Tv

How the Democratic candidates fared in South Carolina debate

"I'm hearing my name mentioned a little bit tonight Bernie democratic presidential hopefuls belief they could undermine front runner Bernie Sanders well they must be disappointed debating this week before Saturday South Carolina primary Sanders faced attacks from across the stage but the polls suggest he's come out unscathed well Joe Biden seems to have retained his lead in South Carolina Sanders shows leads in most of the fourteen states holding primaries this coming super Tuesday I don't know what happens if any sound is when say twelve of the fourteen states on super Tuesday is that why you called I'm not up to super Tuesday yet I'm looking at South Carolina on anticipating a win by Joe Biden and Joe Biden gets to fight another day much of the Democratic Party is an easy about Bernie Sanders and if you add his vote totals he looks like a thirty five or forty percent candidate which means there's fifty five or sixty percent against him the party has to winnow down I imagine some of the candidates will be gone I think we're looking at the three days you know Bernie Biden and Bloomberg and I think Bloomberg is the unknown quantity I mean he actually we see that in the earlier segment that he he has an opening to display his mayoral competence in the wake of a of a crisis but we don't know whether his ads and they're terrific assets whether they are going to turn into votes so if if Biden emerges we could have a fight between you know Biden and Bloomberg I think that's what the governor's basically right here Barden has got to win South Carolina and win it big and get some momentum going in to carry some of those states on super Tuesday you wonder if you will we are going to find out about Bloomberg what you get for five hundred million dollars and two lousy debate performances what you mean when you talk about the six it was better and that's right we'll talk about the Bernie Goetz thirty five or forty percent of those two going to get sick well I think a lot of these candidates like Amy and P. and bar style may not reach the fifteen percent threshold I think it's a party Wednesday we're gonna know if Bernie Sanders as a prohibited prohibitive lead that really cannot be

Which pooch will win the 2020 Westminster Dog Show?

"The big competition here in New York. Who will be top dog? We'll get the Westminster dog show Erin. McLaughlin backstage at the Westminster dog show game. Faces are going on so brazen Grayson's about to go on. How are you feeling anxious at this parade of the big question for tomorrow? Who Will Win? Best in show show veered Westminster. Any dog can win. Maybe the NEWBIE. The ause walk an ancient West African hunting hound. But it's too soon to say at the second oldest sporting event in the country all the flu fing and the fluffing texts me five hours once a week. Just obey their today fiercely strutting their stuff to claim best of group. What makes Elton Special? Everything and the chance at Canine Glory. Do you think he's going to go all the way. Oh sure why not. Why not the last year a wire Fox terrier took top dog in his full name? King Arthur Van Felony home. Some say he's got nothing on scam. The tramp winner of the two thousand nine hundred world's ugliest dog contest. Every dog is so cute in their own way. Proof or oof be really is in the eye of the beholder Gawk Lynn. "mclaughlin" Discussed on The Horse Racing Radio Network Podcast

"And that was Richard Grinder with the call of the two Thousand Fifteen Sam. F Davis Ocean night for Trainer Care McLaughlin stacking stamping himself as one of the top OP. Three roads in the country at that point is we know he would come back in the Tampa Bay. Derby things didn't go. According to plan that day he would be given a break and then continue on throughout the rest of his career but ocean night. Very very talented and Kieran back in the SAM. F Davis later this afternoon with Alisa. We'd who is another horse. That has a lot oughta talent and Karen with me now on the horse racing radio network here in good morning. Good Morning Mike how are you. I'm well my friend. How about yourself? Great Oshawa lead. This is a horse that you know has ability has shown it throughout his entire brief career. Last time out runner up behind shot ski in New York. Tell me a little bit about Asia. We where is he right now. He's on the van had into Tampa is A really nice big curling colts with Great Mind does everything right and he wants to distance of you know as far as they write the races because we feel like so. That's a good sign for going forward but Unlucky to lose Robson last time it came from well back doc just just missed came out of the race in good shape. I'm talking to Rick Nicholls. We weren't sure what we're going to run. But we're happy to get him back in the talk to that top. Yes it's interesting. You talk about the distance factor in hill as long as they can write the races he debuted at Saratoga. Last August. I at six furlongs. He was fifth that day kind of had an inside trip and then came back at a mile. You stretch them out and boy did he show his true colors that day. He drew rafter win by more than four lancs. Yeah that was a big effort. We knew wanted to go further. Most of the time horses improved. Second can start third start to. Hopefully he'll keep improving. We have to prove today to to beat this independence hall. He's very talented. So we'll see how it goes but we're ready to go. Have you gotten a chance to see independence hall in person. I did see Him I saw his hind feet kicking up The rams no that's wrong. Yeah so tough to the side of my cat is handful Craig job with the horse and these very talented very fast horse today. There's some speed hopefully entertained entertained similarly cross because we'll be well back making along that race track Kieran is different than a lot of surfaces. At least I've been told that Ah from your perspective is a guy who won more than fifteen hundred races in his career that that track at Tampa. Hi How would you describe it vary Sandy. Hi flays Nice job. Sometimes it can get a little bit speedy but today there's there's a lot of patient or raise so a horse going to get an uncontested lead is pretty fair track and the main thing is for us with his source. At this time it was either. Go Up for the withers servers. And you didn't want to go to Al Queda in on a deep hiring tracking them on eight. I start back this year. And and Holy Bull is Speed favoring short run into the stretch at Gulfstream so we didn't really want to that so so we we had to think about it but we side to go here to get started them. We'll we'll make plans after to go next but just this. Hopefully it works out for us. Yeah I was going to ask you. That question is is. You were mapping out his early season course here have you. Have you thought that far ahead is to if if things go well today. Do we stay there for the Tampa Bay. Derby do we go to New York if you really given it that much thought yet or you just get past today not too much but York we will well not do next one. Is the Gotham one mile so We could end up for the wooden Morio there but we have a lot of obsolete in Florida and Tampa so a lot of different options though this take it one day at a time so literally one one day at a time. We'll figure it out. How about the inside post position? Going a mile and a sixteenth at Tampa. Well it's okay It's fine because oncoming from off the pace yep in that one we'll say ground down inside and like I said there's a couple of really fast horses and we might find ourselves even last talks to last but Joel Ario the faster. They go further when I get back. But he's a great rider and times. He's moved well. This hopefully take time at a fast last talking trainer Care McLaughlin here on the horse racing radio network. Karen how do you. How do you approach approach in view these early season prep races? Well like I said we're just happy to get back to the racist. Get Him in a starting gate. Agai- you get a race under his belt and then we take it from there and just see where to go next but you just want to get back to the races and have a good performance. We don't I'll have to win today to still feel like we have a derby horse or of course point that way. It's three zero Tom. Years Great to have a nice. Oh so he'll tell us Where we go and how it goes you know we won't force the Derby on but hopefully takes US A? It's a great eight point and you and I talk well. It seems like every year. Now you and I have a chance to catch up in the spring a couple of times making your way down the road to the Kentucky Derby and that's a great position for you to be in because it means that you're getting live three year olds that are making their way toward the first Saturday in May Have you. Have you changed your approach or tweaked anything over the years in terms of trying to get a horse to peak on the first Saturday in May when you get there. I know how much you want to win it not not really no we We try putting much do the same thing we try to get there. It's a lot about the horse and And you you just hope that you do get there with a nice sound hoarse. And even the best shot to to get their win but We've run fourth three. He Times second once. It's a tough race to win but the price there a quarter of these days also I tell everybody that just to get a horse in the starting gate in our sport is a major accomplishment. And then if you're lucky enough to win a race any race. That's a huge accomplishment to get to the Kentucky Derby current put that in perspective for me. Yes it's very hard to get their twenty horses there and The prep race. It now become come very important because of the money behind them. Two million dollar racing to buy one billion dollars craps everywhere. It seems like so they're important to for a horse down. Nice China when some of these races and the Kentucky Derby the Kentucky Derby everybody everybody dreams about time to win it and It's great to have a horse to that. We think has a chance to get so often when we watch golfers was on the PGA tour. They'll talk about not looking at the leaderboard throughout the round the Kentucky Derby earning spot in the starting gate is based on points as it has been the past ask several years. Do you even pay attention to the points. As you're going down the road or use figure okay. If I got a good enough horse the points will take care of themselves. Yeah that's that's the way you have to look at is. The last crap is so important. And you don't want to run if you're not running well by that but I you know in April roller to you. You made all the points of those races so If the horses takes us there the points of will be earned and you know. We won't not door obviously. We're talking about obsolete because he's in the spotlight this afternoon in the grade. Three Sam f Davis but are there any other cure McLaughlin. Three year olds olds. We should be keeping an eye on. Well we only nominate one other one in that SPA city and he actually runs today and I made some a at Gulfstream and he was second last time and still Green Bay Colt by street cents out of Sarah Louisa. He's that we think he has a chance to to get there. Get his maiden broke today. We could possibly have a horse for the Derby. But it's you know he has to break his bait and that's take us there or the preakness or something or the Belmont. So he's He's a talented code. Derby Hopeful Independence Hall Among The Horses 'Testing The Waters' Saturday At Tampa Bay

"Ocean night for Trainer Care McLaughlin stacking stamping himself as one of the top OP. "mclaughlin" Discussed on CATS Roundtable

"Good Morning America. This is the cats roundtable trump castle and. TV's here Sunday morning what's going on. Who's winning those losing will said this? This morning's John McLaughlin and John is the poster for posted for. Trump has been a poster for Netanyahu Arnold Schwarzenegger And he's been around town. Good Morning. John how are you this morning. Good morning it's great to be with you and I also pulled for you. John which is which is very good. Because because you have that common sense and the ability to say things to the average person that they understand and So the common sense touch is very important so tacky. Accu John I agree with you. Common Sense is very important Iowa. You know it's almost a week since Iowa finished and we've got New Hampshire coming up up. People still want to know what the heck happened. You know politics and you know what's going on. Well what was your opinion on Iowa. Well I tell you. It's it's really a disaster for the Democrats and this week because when you think about it it's really the backfire impeachment. The big story coming out of Iowa the collapse of Joe Bike that he that he plays fourth. He was the front runner and when they went after president trump on impeachment on on on Ukraine. They really took down Joe Biden because we knew there was video of him saying you gotTa Prosecutor Fire that. We knew that there were some problems. With hundred Biden like men and the Biden family and but the Democrat caucus goes in Ireland. The primary voters didn't know that so it while they were going for president trump to try to stop him in slowing down to keep from being reelected. They destroyed their own front runner and in the process is there's a primary going on inside inside the primary. There's actually two price going on. There's the socialist primary between Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren and Sanders appears to be winning that and on Tuesday. The votes in New Hampshire will decide the winner of that primary and one of them have to drop out and it's likely to be one then. There's the moderate somewhat liberal primary. Where in competition was Biden Buddha judge and clover Shar and the terrible way that the Democrat Party handle their caucus in Iowa and remember this is not a government boat this is a caucus the party runs at government? Officials in New Hampshire will run the primary Tuesday and and they will count the votes. And it'll be a blue in Iowa. You have a party apparatus whereas the Democrat establishment was trying to slow down by donate they slowing down today. Screw up on purpose because they they panicked when Biden was coming in fourth because they did say that they couldn't believe Biden wasn't getting enough votes right. I think they could have. I mean when I met the burnings have been trying to slow down Bernie Sanders because A lot of people believe that although the voters look at Bernie and they say he's honest and he's populist those who are really studied his proposals see him as a socialist and and they know his background is a socialist and so the Democrat establishment was trying to save Barton. And you know we're turning her trump and then the process. I would just showed us that. They actually probably helped sanders and they killed their front runner now. Tuesday New Hampshire will confirm that and we'll find out but the the what an embarrassment Democrats for three years. They've been asked our president four years after president on Russian collusion and rigging elections and the airport he could be run a caucus for honestly in Iowa. And when you think about that. It's just in such contrast so the president's record his record of accomplishment his the things he's gotten done the trade deals the job growth the economic growth I mean he and the strengthening thinning of the national security and the defeat of Isis and terrorism The president has done so much. This you know we uh-huh I agree. It was a great speech. It was a great speech last week and he presented very well but did the DNC deep panicked when the results were coming in. That's the question. And what do you think is going to happen in New Hampshire This sanders is very well known in New Hampshire and so our booker she's from neighbor events -Chusetts but it looks like in in the polls that came out this week. It looks like that it's GonNa be probably to contest again between Sanders and Buddha judge so that judge will be the moderate candidate and sanders will be the very liberal candidate and the choice of the socialist. So that's GonNa be a real a real contest to watch this week. So we'll see we'll see who wins that by the way the polls for the president or the highest ever who is it. That's the other part of the peach from backfire first. The president's job approval is moving up in this little Gallup had forty nine percent the highest ever the average of which are largely skewed because they lack Republicans most often where they under poll Republicans because they're pulling adults or their Poli registered voters but not likely voters the ones who have likely voters like rats and they have Java Pool Atr about fifty percent he gets over fifty percent. He's GonNa get re-elected because that's where it Obama had twenty twelve year fifty percent up fifty one percent of all day. That's what George W Bush had eighteen thousand four on election day fifty one percent Java for was reelected with fifty one percent. That's that's why the Democrats are panicking trauma caughlin. You also hired to do polling on Chinese tell all Americans on The Chinese on the pope. Well there was a there was a poll that was done Frank Gaffney committee on present danger. Where they did they looked look at last week just last week? We did a survey of like one thousand likely voters November general election voters and it was done January twenty seventh through the thirties. Already there was released This past week and it shows that it's a parish the sleeper issue. This year could be China. They agreed to phase one trade deal with the president. Because you can see that Americans they see China as a as an economic competitor fifty percent but also eighteen percents even As an adversary eight percents them outright An outright Enemy and what it is. They know that China engaged like seven. Ten voters voters seventy one percent or where the China engaging trade practices that took away American manufacturing jobs and and the idea that that they they see. See that The technology transfer only thirty nine percent. or where the force technology transfers. But when they're told about that China forces American in companies WANNA do business there to transfer important technology. They're concerned about that. Seventy four percent of concern about that seventy five percents concerned about the fact that they're building this underground Great Wall for for the missiles and and it's really something that most Americans don't think about Particularly would even space like forty one percent or aware that China's trying to dominate space. But when they're aware of it you get seventy four percent of all Americans digging. That's not GonNa be good when you consider our satellites up there and that's how you know we depend on our banks of phones etc communications our Internet. They're all depends on these satellite. I Don some China's up there You know trying to become the dominant space person. And they would see seventy percent of the voters in this poll. Then also seventy seventy one. Seventy nine percent felt China's hostile. Well they they they would see that they they think the exact exact wording of the question was when you when you look at this where they would say they would see China as a as a cost of power up there and they're they're worried about them controlling controlling space so eighty one percents. They were worried about that. So this it's a sleeper issue here where Americans are not thinking about it like I said we simply asked would you word word of China controlled space and eighty one percent of all voters said yes and then when we asked if a hostile power were able to control space it could disrupt such assets and functions here on Earth if that would happen. Would it impact your life in those of your loved ones. And they say seventy nine percent so people when they think about it they can put two and two together and It could be a sleeper issue this year if China You know has any controversy with the United States. That goes on thirty seconds. Left one last question all the nonsense going on in house. Representatives could Democrats. Lose the house Yes it's it's likely because they've what they've done so far is motivated trump voters to come back out and twenty sixteen so those trump voters come back out and twenty twenty the ones who voter from in two thousand sixteen plus a bronze base this thirty districts. Democrats are sitting right now. That president trump carried in Twenty Sixteen Gene the Republicans only twenty seats to take the house and he's already thirty and danger Democrats in those seats. So what happens John. McLaughlin worldwide wide Pollster strategist and politics. Thank you so much for coming on the show and let's catch up again thank you. This is the catch roundtable. We write back..

I'm glad you bring that up that he was a little bit unlucky when i say that he has struggled to win and he hasn't won since that race. It wasn't like used getting blown out every race. He it was right there. He was second in the gray to fort lauderdale. He was second in the grade. One turf classic at churchill downs and a couple of thirds with with some grade one company to he had been knocking on the door. Did you kind of feel like maybe it was just a matter of time. Yes we didn't know about the ground. I mean there was quite soft on monday. They wanted one so obviously like the ground that day and <hes> he just fine because he does.
