Boris Johnson to pledge surplus COVID-19 vaccine to poorer countries at G7

"British prime minister will urge other wealthy nations to donate their surplus covert. Vaccines to less well-off countries. A virtual meeting of the g seven johnson will urge more money to be given to kovacs. The un initiative aimed at making sure global distribution of vaccines is done fairly. His call comes after accusations that nations who can afford it have been stockpiling for more doses than they actually need which joining me as a political reporter monocle. Twenty four regular events in mckinney. Good morning many demoting. What is boris. Johnson expected to say at the g seven this the first time that g seven has met since april twenty twenty s head of physical meeting in cohen will in gene and the prime minister. Getting to try and kind of lift the is above the horizon. He's going to say that between them. The g seven countries have ordered about a billion surplus vaccines and they need to make sure that they get these out through the kovacs scheme which will distribute them around the well to poorer nations in order to stop the creation and spread of new variants. The kinds of which that we've seen coming out of a particularly south africa and brazil. Which a have these variants which seemed to have some kind of Resistance to the current stock of vaccines. So he's going to be encouraging them that it's in all of their benefit to get those supplies out. This is an interesting move. Boris johnson because up until now there were seeming presidency of the g seven. But boris johnson hasn't really shown his face as a world statesman yet. This is his first real show outing. Yesterday as prime minister being about eighteen months hasn't because of the crisis brexit hundred have real kind of trips around the world going to these kind of big conferences. It's being accident entitled focused. So it'll be interesting to see how he deals with us. We have had an experience with him as foreign secretary before way either. He wasn't that rosa he wasn't top tables. But it'll be interesting to see how he deals with the g. seven and also we know that he's invited for the summer for the physical meeting. The leaders of india south korea and australia as well to form is being dubbed a d. seven democratic seven. And this kind of plays into what. Joe biden's also being talking about. He's been talking about a summit of democracies that he wants to organize because there is a feeling in international circles that you know you've got this multiple now that china is trying to sell an alternative to democracy yet. The kind of open and capsule capitalist democracy that disease has been trying to sell around the world for decades and developing countries. You've got russia and china. Took the pitching vaccine to them. Trying to sell Natan to countries in africa and south america. And it's a rival to in terms of soft power. She points to one example where our home reported 11 deaths, but her count was 40. Including some who died in the hospital. "Church fired Anthony Lynn. I really like Anthony. When did you know that he's from McKinney Texas know he got out here the quickest he could he's from McKinney. He went really sylvain high school and then he went to Tech. Yeah guns up really liking Anthony land. And what sucks is, you know, Justin Herbert's they're going off to you and you some Justin Herbert. Well, I did when before he cut his hair and then he cut his hair and I'm out. Oh lucky. We're not talking. Okay all that to say he's still a very talented quarterback. And I think it's one of those situations where spiders are he's in spite Amy for that very Sage astute Sports analysis, you know what players are all-encompassing in their talents. There's there's certain things that come with the talent and sometimes the chair and if you lose the hair then you know what they say take that yes p.m. If the hair out with the talent All right. But anyway, okay. Well me being I think it's one of those situations where they have their franchise quarterback, but I don't necessarily think that Anthony think Anthony when is a fit for that particular quarterback some kind of just goes to show how important. Yep. The quarterbacks are on a team absolutely important. It is to match the head coach with the quarterback. The system has to all work every piece of that machine has to work so I don't really think it's so much Anthony Lynn not being a good head coach. I think it's and this is just my opinion. I could be really I mean no, please after that hair opinion. I trust you. So i gotta make it sound like i'm somewhat interesting. Yes i'm giving away trade secrets for. Yeah ooh yes after. Oh here's the last one which already guessed how many lights are in the house display. That car puts up twenty five thousand twinkling yes and there actually was a talion twinkling lights. A little light bulb. Yeah but then you see him give a big old bowl of like this huge like gaudy ones like that big old ball that he could not out. That is sickening. I'd be like just get a new. Just get out of. How many are here but just easier. If he's so gung ho about it like you would have a little bit more organized. As i mean he makes five hundred thousand a year. You could buy new ones every year but with agree that i guess we are. That is that is the show. Do you have. Do you have anything you would like to promote. I know you have a band in a new Oh shit yeah sorry. I i totally spaced. I'm i think i'm not tired. I got him but yeah this. This is an area good place right now. Didn't want to have any weird noises while i was recording. 'cause i like weird noise is going on in background. This is me Yes this is movie. Police schenken see what laws were broken within. Say i mean there's quite a laws broken. I think and i think the griswold family is known for breaking a few laws throughout films there. Yeah i mean. They're not part of the mafia. As i mean i say at the beginning when you're driving to go get the tree. There is quite a bit of reckless driving. I'm sure is you. I'm sure you can get in trouble for yourself stuck underneath as much but somehow escaping without being in any immediate danger. I think that would be considered reckless driving. Maybe also out a lotta tailgating. There's tailgated well be fair. They didn't provoke you know they weren't the ones that started it. I'm going to give them credit. Where credit and do they start that they had no intentions on that whatever court should have been the bigger man and just because you know ellen doesn't want to be dead on christmas and exactly i mean she says that directly to them and the funny thing is he's always in a car incident and all of his national lampoon's film. "And he just crawl out. Yeah i wondered to if he could just you know pure apart the wall and just kinda slide under. I don't i don't know if you wanna ruin the roof anymore. Or i mean you've already put a decent size hole in like in your done to fix it anyways. Like make good money. So yeah i mean you make five hundred thousand a year. I think you can. You can handle fixing your roof and you. You've already like property damage already too. I think that's why their neighbors his neighbors are so cool with like him ruining their house constantly like yeah they they seem to be padding quite alright like broken windows and like like it's fine and every other week. Whatever he makes good money he'll get us back. But i was actually gonna bring up the fact about the presence. He was putting away up there in the first place. Yeah pulls out a missing gift for mother's day and it took a little little wink to the audience when he pulls it out mother's day on the card underneath a nine hundred eighty three. Which was the release of the first nation. Movie came out nice little little wink wink a little easter egg for you on that one. I i didn't know that. Until i looked it up because it's actually kind of hard to read. Yeah unless you have a blu ray version of the movie. I guess any any guy. Like a four k tv and you can see every particle clark. Yeah i think. That's all my facts. I gotta spewed some facts. I throughout the whole show. have another one. I actually like The actress who played aunt bethany yes. may may may cliffdale. Yes she actually did. The voice for betty boop in the nineteen thirty cartoons and actually up until her death in ninety eight sheesh she Did the voice for her and sixty seven years even up to that point. She did like proteins. For example who framed roger. rabbit came out the previous year. She did the reuter. And that and a little cameo yeah. I don't know i kinda like that. I mean you can actually tell in her voice again no that fact that you can actually tell in her voice that sounds exactly like betty boop so is your house on fire. Clark knowing is presently. I've actually seen a couple of houses that are really decked out like that neighborhood actually got a couple of pictures. I think they're really cool. Nice but do they use so many strands. They don't have twenty five thousand lights. I don't think they don't twinkle twinkle. It is quite a spectacle that people go to that length. They really knew in real life that the you got to appreciate the art work that goes into it an ideal for sure. I love christmas. It's like are you are people like that's just it's not like i'm lazy then i get it like for me. I would never go to that length. But he's literally stapling those lights across like every piece of like citing. Yeah it's like like trying to get that off. I know but yes the effort man. You gotta you gotta appreciate that. That's dedication. He has for stuff he doesn't have to do because he loves christmas. And he doesn't want it to get ruined because he has he wants to wants to. Basically you also by swimming pool for is his kids so but because mr surely which i mean again he can't even makes that much he makes like two hundred fifty thousand less than what he said on this favor that he should make to get that bonus in well. He's doing well. I mean it's not like he has ten kids. It's not like yeah. I mean he has a lot of those. Here's a lot of the feed. But i mean he doesn't have that many mouse feed so especially i mean it says around the holidays so but i'm pretty sure i'm confident in this day. Him in the debt from home alone. They probably had the same job or they work for the same mob. Boss like you said so know theory. They're both in chicago. Same era yes. It can be the truth. It's i like that little. We'll story in my head that they both universes near that. They both have some sort of dark secret but the one that we see them as these two holiday movies like once their wife's jewelry yes it's like they like other universe that we created that they both work for mob bosses. Because that's that's the way they have so much money but apparently they're gonna. They're they're struggling. That's struggling nice. Add how struggling real bad. They're struggling fairly now. Eddie struggling but yeah eddie. Surgery on man. Well there's no longer full. So i mean we'll do it for you but all here's one little thing that i noticed when Ruby was talking to clark in the kitchen after he has this little pool fantasy with the laundry girl she catches them. You like santa claus and then she's just down and then like she mentions. Oh i had to go outside to go to the bathroom like she clark. She's like oh. I like that. I don't have to go outside. Go to the bathroom and stay here. But then like he's emptying the shooter like is quite why she has to say the shooter. Sel and like shitting. Stay that word. Sorry rock which isn't breaks. Our we use a shitty or shitting bricks where she goes shitting bricks. Yeah you shouldn't say that we're no never mind. I totally i had a brain fart on that one. It's my bad i have. I have another factor. Actually wanted to say it's a goofy little one so the part where the cat to on the christmas lights and gets electrocuted. Yeah apparently video executives and we're worried about keeping that in in fear of offending animal lovers but when they had a test audience apparently that was their favourite part in the movie. And so they're like all right. We'll keep it in there so many people into screening well so it's animal cruelty..

"Not like an edge rusher. But he's coming from that slot nickel spot and he'll shoot out and he's able to you. Know have a little bit of flexibility in his hips to kind of bend around contacted. Knocked the ball out or just force a sack so I mean those instincts man and the ability to kind of just be used in every phase of the defense is going to be very valuable to the giants and I just I just love the prospects that it seems like he can have in. This defense has that versatile defender along with Julia love and Jibril peppers who are similar type of players. But that doesn't mean it's redundant skill set. Because they can all be used uniquely interchangeably. Keeping that offense guessing. End with the with mckinney. Blitzer his timing stood out to me as well. I was kind of wondering where I should mention that but since you brought it up and I think his his burst to close. That's definitely that thirty six inch vertical showing up and I would say Just watching him blitz. It almost looks like running back finding holes through the offensive line. The way he's able to find a rushing lane time it and then explode through it. It's almost like a running back being slow to the whole exploding through the whole but obviously going in the opposite direction with the opposite. Intention another to Chris Because we're talking about the run. His his ability to force fumbles his ability and put his hat or his. You know inside shoulder. Whatever on the football he does ally so east running backs men. They're gonNA really need to be able to cap that ball and make a tight. Because they'd be mckinney has a knack for knocking that think loose which I also love. 'cause you know more turnover. The giants gets or opportunity for Daniel Jones. Put points on the board and more tuneful giants win. We've got a couple more topics here. To cover for Xavier mckinney. Before we get to them. We're GONNA take a very short commercial break with any prospect. They're never gonNA come imperfect in completely refined so there's obviously things that Xavier mckinney needs to work on in his rookie season to improve to become a full player at the safety position. Chris why don't we head to you I again? What do you really think Xavier mckinney needs to improve on work on throughout these first few years? That will make him a better player overall. You know when I was breaking them down for OUR SCOUTING REPORT. The kind of deficiencies cons. Were WE WANNA term. It I noticed are things. I'm not quite sure. He really can work on things like his range. His speed over a long distance his lower body flexibility inability to stick in man coverage with athletic receivers are really athletic. Relax were talking before the show started by. You probably don't want him in man coverage on a slot. Receiver like a terror maclaurin. Or somebody like that. Because he's really just not going to be able to turn and run. Flip hips in really. Carry him down the field. But the things he can improve on would be his tackling just to be more consistent with good form so Not just hitting guys or shoulder checking them but actually wrapping up driving through and bringing guys to the ground. When he's not forcing a fumble that is and then really be taking more consistent angles to the ball and taking more consistent angles that from further away where like Nixon. The first half. Sometimes if he's coming from further away he can. He doesn't really give himself a chance to tackle under control Not quite like that phrasing raising but just like the be balanced. When he makes the tackle said those are the things I think he can improve on that he should work on. Nick how about you? What do you really think that Mckinney needs to work on and improve to become a better player again. A lot of it just what Chris said. I think it's athletically athletic things that he needs to. He can't really help his reign. It's not he's not going to be able to just automatically develop true single high and he doesn't have that I think he has enough range to effectively fill in that role once in a while. But I it's not something that you're not going to be covering one safety. He can be a a deep pass safety in a cover two or two high men a man under something like that so he doesn't have that kind of athletic ability and range. I think he's a fast player. That was it a four six four that he ran up. Accommodating is faster than that but again he checked himself out of the combine with cramps and again. I don't know why the combine was having their players. Run at like ten o'clock at night. I was Kinda stupid but whatever So there are some athletic deficiencies again. I brought up his main coverage. I think he's going to be solid against bigger slots I think he'll be good against a tight ends. I think those are things that he's going to be. You know executed high level but then if he gets matched up you know number three receiver in our trio set against terror McLaren or even a small receiver. Who's a little bit shiftier? Those kind of receivers are probably gonNA give him problems in you know man match kind of a kind of defense. I think he he could struggle man coverage especially at the top of breaks receiver hits the top of the stem. And then breaks one. Way Sometimes mckinney gets caught looking at that quarterback or or his is don't always follow his feet because he is a cerebral type of player so I think he could struggle against shiftier type of a receiver man coverage those those kind of things that are not one hundred zero correcting clean up. Your is being on more on. Cue with your feet but athletically. It's it's kind of a trouble and then when it comes as Chris said that the angles down in the football again he he took he missed a couple tackles coming down like that but every time he would aim for the outside leg of the running back effectively boxing inside towards his teammates. So that's a positive thing to keep the continuity of the defense intact but you want to kind of come the balance a little bit better. And sometimes he can get a little high little wild but it's it's not a huge knock. It's not something that I look at and I say. Aw You know this is terrible. He's not grit delpy when it comes to that whatsoever so he just has to gather himself a little bit and become a little bit more bounce when he's coming from those those angles moving at a higher speed so those are the two things that really stood out to me. I think he's going to be you know he's going to be effective man coverage against the right type of receivers but he's probably GONNA struggle against smaller ones. So we'll see if Someone Julian love can fill fill in and maybe cover with better in those kinds of situations but you know that remains to be seen. I I still think this is going to be really effective player for the New York giants. And a guy that we're going GONNA look back and say oh glad that he fell thirty six because he probably shouldn't move now in terms of like what you just pointed out there. It seems like going to be a pick that will pan out and really work for this giants team but with any prospect. It's worth acknowledging that they have a feeling they have a flora highest amount of potential but also a potential to to bottom out and not even in proven further. Where do we really see his ceiling being in Chris what? Why don't we talk to you about this? I what do you think? His highest potential of impact. We can have from Xavier mckinney. I think if he winds up being the kind of playmaker guy who creates turnover opportunities either forced fumbles. Interceptions passes defense that a teammate winds up picking off get sacked. Contribute in the pass rush. I think he can be a pro bowl player for the giants now. I think you know when you start talking about the proble all pro that sort of thing than how consistently they are voted in. That's that's a popularity contest but I think he could at least put together that caliber of resume if he reaches his ceiling. I don't disagree with Chris. I think he could get to that level. It's not out of the question but I look at this from a different perspective. I kind of look. I tried to align myself. How Joe Judge is looking at everything we're not bringing in. You know one player with in team. We are team and I think. His addition to the giants makes the defense just so much better because our provides such a such a lot more flexibility to Patrick Graham and how he wants to utilize those back in defenders so I think just that if him peppers and love can all stay healthy he can do so many different things with different coverages with different. Blitzes would really anything that Graham wants to. Just give him a lot of flexibility. As a play caller 'cause mckinney can wear so many hats per se. But if we're we're doing the exercise of where he could be. Hey Landon. Collins had a season where he had what? How many interceptions did you have that year yet? A quite yet. A lot of interceptions. He was forcing turnovers. Couple touchdowns I that is in the realm of possibility but pro bowl voting. And all that stuff it's all contingent on your getting turnovers and turnovers can be flaky. At times they can be. You never really see a defense lead the league in turnovers and then the next year that come back and they lead the league and turnover again. It doesn't usually happen like that so as long as making come in not make any mistakes fill his role. You're due for some turnovers there an every now and again and just be able to play at a high level like. I expect him to like he did with Alabama. I'm going to be happy that he had to make the pro bowl to be a success. No not in my mind but I think it's in the range of outcomes pressure and I just looked it up. That twenty sixteen season was five interceptions. Thirteen passes defense just four sacks nine tackles for a loss and one hundred twenty five total tackles. So that's the Bar. We're setting for mckinney. He's gotta hit that. It's a pretty high bar to have for For a player who hasn't even taken a snap yet in this league but in terms of lowest expectations for mckinney. Hypothetically doesn't really reach what we've talked about here on this show if he doesn't if he isn't used as we hope he can be used and he doesn't end up actually hitting the potential that we're we're talking about right now. What what is the worst possible player that we can? We can get out of Xavier mckinney Chris. Why don't you go first again? Yeah I think? If he's kind of player he comes in is as advertised. But that's kind of all. He is where he doesn't grow much beyond what we saw. What we see as a rookie. I think he's still going to be a solid safety. I think you should be a solid reliable safety. I kind of see him in the same mould as Andrew Thomas where he might not be a his likely ceiling might not be as a.

"In coverage and he has enough athletic ability in my opinion to cover these bigger slots and these tight ends effectively in man coverage while also just using his instincts and his is to read the field and react. And just being from that program that Alabama defense and Nick. Sabin gave this person such a huge responsibility gives me a warm and fuzzy. And he's GonNa come into this system and kind of be entrusted in a similar light so I look his ball skills which is another thing that I like. I want to say had what ten ten turnover worthy plays at Alabama? Some of them were forced. Fumbles some of them were interceptions. I don't think he's the most unleash the best when it comes to his ball skills but he does have enough to track the ball and make an interception has solid hands insecure it so from that fast. I kind liked him as well. But it's more of the versatility and the football intelligence each just never out of position. He's always wear he needs to be. And I think that is so understated or player who's just never position because we saw last season with the giants a big reason. Why James Becher defense failed is because players? Ratu position and it was a lot of those young players they were just never on the right. Assignment and Xavi mckinney. Never seemed to have that issue in a very complex and complicated defense down there for the Crimson Tide. A big SEC football so I really just love what he provides from an intelligence standpoint. I think he's a solid athlete. Not The best. But he's a solid athlete and never going to disappoint you with being out a position and it seems like the the goal here with bringing in a guy like mckinney's having someone whose versatile who can play in the new defense. That Patrick Graham is bringing but also having the ability to play different roles now we talked about before the draft about how how Isaiah Simmons can do that stuff and mckinney's not as big as Isaiah Simmons. But you talk about all those numbers of different snaps he lined up at all. That stuff's really huge for what he can. Bring to the table for this defense. What are the things that you really think are big positives in terms of his ability to play the pass? You know this is one of the reasons why I love having nick. He basically just went right down my note sheet and hit every high. Point so yeah. I'm not quite sure how much more I have to add. But I will just say mckinney is really very smart. You see him. Read the quarterbacks is you can see that. He processes information very very quickly. He understands passing concepts so he knows what his responsibility is. He knows what receivers are going to be coming into or leaving his zone. He knows where to help with the double team or who to pick up when to pass somebody off and like Nick said less couple years those have been really big problems between Curtis Riley. Just not knowing what to do and Antoine Buffet knowing what to do but not being able to do it anymore. The giants finally have a guy who both knows what to do can process information in real time and he has the wheels to execute on that. You know I I do like how good closing burst. He has he can close the door on passes he can get his hands on. Ball's knocked him down using great at coming up with interceptions but he's not bad at an either that ability to deny the catch point whether or not the giants would come up with the ball or not. That is there Chris. He's he's very disruptive at the catch point which I love he has that really clicking close that quick trigger to come down hill and really just nail underneath routes which is something that I also love to see from eighty mckinney. There's there's I put a play in the article I wrote about him on Big Blue View. Everyone go check it out but It was worth it. It just shows how much he does film study so Joe Brady of the office coordinator for the Lsu Tigers Championship lsu tigers this year Designed a clear out there was a too wide receiver. Size your mckinney was playing like the star all I want to say and it was a clear out route with Edwards allaire running up the seem so Zuma. Can you take climate Edwards Allaire of the same but pre-snap there was emotion from the back side of that formation of Justin Jefferson coming off to the fronts out of the formation where those two receivers were the clear out and it was just a little is just. GonNa be a quick slip screen to absolutely nobody because Alabama was in man covered and Xavier. Mckanie somehow is in the back of his head came off. The Clyde Edwards layer route with his body around picked up just in Jefferson. He needs to make the tackles will. Look like a bad. Play on mckinney mckanie boxing. Back inside and it's only like a twelve yard game instead of like a forty yard game and I just do not know how we had the instincts and just the wherewithal to be able to know. Lsu was doing that unless he was just in the film room and he was studying. He knew what to expect from a smart coordinator in an excellent quarterback and just an overall excellent team. So it's there's a lot to like about what Xavi mckinney is going to bring your team and by all accounts. He's an amazing Kate as well. So that is something that you know. The giants need the giants. Been trying to turn their culture around. Seems like they've kind of got all the people out and brought all these good culture guys in and it seems like they just want players who are going to buy. And Save you're mckinney will and Joe Judge has really made it clear already in the multiple times. He's talked to the media that they're they're making this push forward to bring in guys and young players that fit that new mentality. The new approach to just being smart instinctive good football players instead of just going and getting guys that might be tremendous athletes. They want guys that can step in and play and have an impact for multiple years to come now in terms of defending the run Chris. Why don't we go to you first this time? What do you think are his? Yeah before nick takes all the all of his all of your notes again but In terms of what he can do in defending the Ron and also his tackling ability where things really stood out to you on tape well again just to kind of reiterate a point from his past coverage his versatility the fact that he can play all over the place. You can play as a true safety. You can play as a box safety. He could play a linebacker so the defense can move him around and either hide him or forced the offense try to find him and that lets him get to the play. Let's him put himself in position for the play. Yeah I like the tackling form. I saw from him not consistent. But that's that's kind of a common complaint with the defensive back prospects. It's almost remarkable when they have consistently good tackle form but he leaves flashes good form so that give that gives you hope that he can build it into a consistent strength and really his willingness because you do not WanNa see a safety. That doesn't WanNA tackle Y- even if they're not great at it at least the willingness to come down to trigger downfield and want to hit guys. You'd need to have that in a safety. You can convince yourself. It's okay for a corner to not WANNA tackle. But you can't have a safety that doesn't want to tackle. I really do. Like how aggressive and willing mckinney is as a tackler that seemed to be the biggest knock on grant delpit who was a guy in competition to be the first safety off the board in two thousand twenty maybe that was really the the defining factor of why they chose mckinney over at that fourth. Pick in the second round because they wanted a player that at least showed a little bit more willingness to make those plays and get his nose dirty. Nick wh what are your thoughts on his his run support and his ability to tackle and make those types of plays against the run. He's a solid in run support. He usually takes good angles to the football. There were times I saw him and get kind of high and then missed the running back and get out juked. And when you get high your balance and your equilibrium was all kind of screwed up so if you're going up against smaller shiftier backs you're more susceptible to being juked and I have saw. I saw that a couple of times so he asked to kind of come to balance before he makes his tackle when coming from angles. That are that are far off the ball so I think he's a better tackler near the box and closer that he gets along. Scrimmage Kinda is given because the more space that running back has Juki out. Then you know it's more subtle for you to be too so that kind it does make sense. But all his physical. Here's a solid tackle radius. He's not scared like you said he will get his nose. Dirty will drive you into the ground. He's more of the He's GonNa wrap you up. He's GonNa roll over and he's and he's just GonNa you know he's just going to roll. He's not somebody who is not the biggest hitter. Like Landon. Collins was kind of known for his really physical. Play I think mckinney is a physical player? But I think collins probably has the edge on them when it comes to that. And that's no knock on mckinney but as just people wanNA compare the two because they're both second round picks from the giants both Crimson tide players. But I think mckinney's again to go back to the versatile versatility. He's going to be rather going to see him in the box. Were all going to see him lineup in the box and you're gonNA see three nickel packages from Patrick Ram. He loves to run that. And from that alignment. You can just do so many different things. 'cause you can be effective against Iran but yet you can also have the ability to kind of wait till the snap and that bail back into a deep third coverage or something along those lines so it really keeps the offense guessing because it's like what personnel package is the defense in when they have these versatile players who can play the run and can play the past mckinney. Just data. I know that's more Maccabi. Also pass coverage thing but it's also something that's going to affect the offices a was run. The ball at Xavier mckinney because he's smaller than a two hundred fifty pound linebacker. I still think he has that ability to hold up at the point of attack. And he's instinctive enough to shoot the GATT meet. Maybe meet the fullback or the pulling end and the pulling guard in the whole kind of bouncer spill the run towards other teammates. So I just think he's. He's a good enough tackler. He's not bad at that and he Offers a lot of just again not to say the same thing again but the versatility but another thing I wanted to touch on him and Kinda goes with passing but it's not pass coverage is how effective he is a blitzer. Because that is something that is going to be utilized by Patrick Graham and it was utilized by Nick Sabin. And he's an utilizes. Excellent Timing Xavier mckinney. That is and he'll disguise his blitzes. Well he gets low and he has a really good. Ten Yard Split. I would say because he just shoots out and we saw it against a joke or against Joe Borough with audience that Lsu game saw a couple of the games where he would able to kind of bend the age..

"These John little **** McKinney city manager Paul Grimes if he's still amazed by the growth of the city absolutely it's remarkable really and I remember I moved here from suburban community in the Chicago area and you know we were technically I put quotes around this we were growth communities but it all pales in comparison to Texas growth it it's it's Goober growth here and it's it's really amazing to see what this year run paste issue fifteen the seventeen hundred residential housing Mets remarkable in its own right just a couple years ago we did about twenty five hundred it's really incredible four percent growth year after year after year that's what it's been averaging Dallas and Tarrant counties probably have faster growth earlier but you know we're going to its Collin county Denton county they're really going through it now this sort of period of incredible expansion they give W. region as a million people every seven or eight years five twenty thirty we will be the third largest metro in the country we will surpass the Chicago region so it's pretty incredible and we look at your projection numbers you could be up to two hundred eighty four thousand residents by the year twenty forty in just twenty years is there room for that type of growth you know we still have growth beyond that because we're only half a little over half way to build out in R. ET J. R. extra territorial jurisdiction so there's a lot of room to grow up here we want to be good growth we wanted to be smart growth things change over time tastes change and and we have to adapt to that but we are very welcoming community of we're looking forward to it calling counties just passed a million people this past year and and it's expected to grow to two and a half to three and a half million what ultimately will control that growth for the final number will largely depend on obviously economics but also the amount of densities that are approved densities are a function of the political empire at that time how much density does the community want as it grows so those things are all variables that will be added to or considered in the coming years apps what will ultimately impact final number but people still demand they want to come to Texas this is a dynamic place where their jobs and great quality of life and that's going to continue in the foreseeable future I think I know you guys are so proud of your downtown and it's like you said earlier just the welcoming nature of McKinney how do you keep that quality of life up from a city perspective while you're adding so many more people what what's the biggest challenge of that Paul the biggest challenge I think is making sure that they were blessed because we've been very fortunate but we have very innovative and creative developers are committed and you get your developers to have you know they're open minded about the type of development they know what our development standards are and what we want we listen to them we try to listen to him and make adjustments in that collaborative relationship it really does all the the character of McKinney while you have very different character communities districts within the city have different character different feel it all turns on what we have downtown the candy that really sets the tone for our community we have big plans I would say stay tuned in the next year or two you're going to hear or see a lot of activity in the downtown area if you will expanding I would say that what became has to offer in terms of culture and arts and music and a place in the downtown area so we're very excited about and I think you're gonna see a lot more really great stuff coming from okay that's McKinney city manager Paul Grimes speaking with Carol these John little coming up on the care early Sunday morning news box attorney Phil made his appearance.

It's just I portland you don't have to do T._M.. But there's a lot of ways to approach meditation but it's just getting into that place the thing that T._m.. is which I didn't understand. There's nothing the breathing right well every APP. I have his breathing. I've been meditating for years with the Breathe Really T._M.. You don't see that he says angrily the fucking breathing breathing leaving so it's not working the breathing. It's done nothing for me mark so this is you you. It's your mind you think of this mantra in your mind and your your breathing stops everything in your body. Metabolic <unk> goes way way way down and eventually the mantra disappears and you have nothing and then the thought comes up that's stress getting released and that's the thought and then you come back up to the circle top of the circle with the mantra you go back and you just keep doing that and you get better and better get into the spot where you're like. "McKinney. "Great to have you with us. The NC double A division. Two national championship. Football game is headed to the Metroplex in the new seventy million dollar McKinney. ISD stadium will play host to the game. December fifteenth got to talk with McKinney ISD athletic director, Sean Pratt who says the game really fits their goals for this new facility when we plan the stadium. We planned it for for things outside of McKinney is the football and soccer. We envisioned going after some events like this. We were in the process and conversation with the NA about their national championship. But our mayor received an Email from a friend of his and Ford that onto my superintendent Dr McDaniel who who forward it on to me, and we took it and ran with it very short turnaround. We had about nine days, I believe it was to get a bit put together and turned in. And so we kind of engulfed ourselves with that thing for about eight or nine days and got it got it in. Received that call from Donnie wagon Wagner with the NCAA who's in charge of their championships and boys, a great dads. Great news when we got that call thing it's going to be good for not just our school district. It's going to be good for the city and McKinney, and obviously being on ESPN and allied McKinney is the stadium and the city of McKinney. And we we got a great group. You put together a great stadium like this. And there's a lot of promises behind it. Like, we're going to go after these other events, and frankly in some other places sometimes that doesn't come to fruition. Very fast. Sometimes it doesn't come to fruition to the level that maybe people in the community wanted to come to how cool is it that it comes together? So quickly for you, guys know, absolutely. And you know, when we were out talking about our school bond program and talking about the stadium specifically we talked about going after those kind of events you have naysayers you have people that believe you're just trying to sell the stadium. And and we were sincere in that in our efforts star. Long before the stadium finished being Bill getting into the stadium and getting the season started that was in jeopardy, maybe just a little bit. But once you guys have gotten in here, you're six seven weeks in now how are things going with the stadium. It's going great. You know, you're right. It was a little tight there. At the end we got temporary certificate on Monday night before a Thursday game. And and we started moving in here got everything and got it settled and got started preparing the stadium at that point. I was really upset that we decided to have the McKinney is the classic which was a Thursday Friday Saturday event because of the tight timetable that we had not anticipated. But once we got through that weekend. And we were able to have about twelve thousand five hundred people here on Thursday night when you open a venue like this. You're gonna have some hurdles so that Thursday night having twelve thousand people here really showed us right off the bat. Hey, we need to fix this, and this etc. And we came out. Friday night and fix some of those issues and then found a couple of other smaller ones and then fix those on Saturday. And while we were exhausted. After that week, we really felt good about the very next week because having three nights in a row really allowed us to fix some of those those things and so everything's really been smooth sense. That's mckinney. ISD Atlantic director, Sean Pratt. Again, the division. Two national title game held at McKinney ISD stadium, December fifteenth last year, Texas,.

"I I don't see the I think we're at a tipping point right now because the real estate wise homes that are, in walkable neighborhoods, are worth more right, now despite the. Schools even if they're walkable, they're worth, more so, there's going to be I think continued pushback especially with millennials that are. Very carbon footprint conscious and, very green oriented and. My neighbors right now they work, in? Plano they. Le- live in Oaklawn eight right their bikes they. Get up at five, o'clock in the morning they ride their bikes the closest dart station or to catch a dart all the, way up, to their Dobbin plano Eric Admitted that's something we could we should consider. Doing that's. Right are? Biked, well I could definitely benefit out down your golf clubs at, UK Cadel cooler Sure we can figure out a way Coming to Michigan Oakland I was kinda curious what other communities in the Metroplex at that footprint that you were just. Mentioning with a lot of planned communities you know that have that, like, further up outside of McKinney Denton the they built the whole thing or there with a lot of walking and jogging Glenn is like a played out right Yeah that's, the first thing, that comes, to mind but in Dallas you know in south of LBJ I mean there's. A lot of? That old established neighborhoods. You can essentially? Walk, a ride anywhere St. Thomas ole Kyla what's, that trail not, the Katy, trail the other one That's that's cool It's, their city, Dallas I think is the head. Of the suburbs Agreed McKinney is. Actually so I. Wasn't I was not about the three eighty project and I live in. McKinney I do know that whether you like, McCain McKinney McKinney has, done they've expanded seventy five almost a Anna at this. Point so it used to be getting through or going north on seventy five from, plano, Richardson Dallas when you hit McKinney was an absolute. Roadblock now you can get well north of McKinney and with little to no. Traffic so to, me they've expanded seventy-five before the population has came to that north side. McKinney. Yeah and also, they you, know by making one Twenty-one a toy like the George Bush that's alleviated those of us that would prefer to go and pay than get you out of their toll as logjam now is it or one? Twenty-one logjam excuse. Me. Yeah. Yeah at the. Tollway, again that's one corridor, I as a matter of, fact there's no quick exit Cet. For me to go from the middle of McKinney a really the wild sorry. The west side, of McKinney down to our office and south plano I either have to. Go. Over the tollway, and get, stuck in that traffic or out of my way over to seventy five so I actually take the back roads come down Custer I come down yeah down Custer I hit rich than I had quite quite a hit fifteenth. And. I. Had plano Parkway. That's, the fastest route I, founded the hey you took, the job now Mansoni Well I think I think the Metroplex has has an, awful lot going for it in which I want to ask you about the condition of the market in, in any concerns that you're hearing from potential homebuyers or home sellers home sellers sellers, concerned because this past. Spring they heard about their neighbor to, yours down that, dreamed that..
