In the loop this morning of S.W.A.T. team called out after man was shot in the first block of south Franklin, police say the 21 year old man is at northwestern hospital with a gunshot wound to the left thigh. He is listening to good condition, it's believed police are still looking for the gunman no arrests have been reported. A two year old boy in critical condition, a comer children's hospital after being shot in the stomach and park forest, police say it happened just after 11 yesterday morning at an apartment complex in the 300 block of forest boulevard, this neighbor spoke with CBS two. Police say a 21 year old man was shot during an argument just after two this morning at a business in the first block of south Franklin. The S.W.A.T. team was called when the gunman stayed inside the building, officials say the victim was shot in the left thigh. It is now at northwestern hospital in good condition, as of this hour, there have been no reports of an arrest. The mchenry county sheriff's office is investigating a small plane crash that left its pilot dead. It happened yesterday afternoon and suburban wonder Lake, the pilot was the only person on board the aircraft and they were pronounced dead at the scene. The sheriff's office is working with the national transportation safety board and federal aviation administration. A two year old boy is fighting for his life this morning after being shot in a park forest apartment complex. It happened around 1115 yesterday morning, police say the boy suffered a gunshot wound to his abdomen and was airlifted to comer children's hospital where he's now in critical condition, it's not clear though if the boy was shot accidentally or intentionally, park forest police are investigating who owned the gun, who fired the shot and why. Two teenage boys were injured in separate shootings yesterday afternoon, a 14 year old was shot around two 15 as he wrote his bike in Jeffrey manor, Chicago police say he was shot in your 99th in south Yates and is being treated for gunshot wounds to his left leg and backside in about an hour later of 15 year old boy was shot in the foot. The search continues in Mount Prospect for two people after an attempt to steal a vehicle from a driveway yesterday morning, ended when the owner spotted them and had to die for cover when gunshots were fired at him. Near busy to walk his dog when he saw the attempted theft, still says the person trying to steal the vehicle ran to a nearby SUV, where another person was waiting and one of them fired multiple shots at the man. That victim thankfully was able to dive for cover. Following a bit of wild weather here, we've got a new tornado warning that has popped up for portions of southeastern Wisconsin this morning or this afternoon. And there is a severe thunderstorm warning for northeastern mchenry county and that moves into parts of Lake county as, well, continue to track some of these storms, but in mchenry now possible reports of some hail wind gusts of up to 60 mph. Again, a severe thunderstorm warning in effect for northeastern mchenry county this runs through 1 o'clock, and then in Wisconsin, southeastern wallworth Racine, southeastern Waukesha and Kenosha counties, this tornado warning in effect until 1 o'clock. Those are the areas that you were referring to before way. Those are the ones that were under severe drought, including parts of southeast Wisconsin. But since Monday, most of that area that was under severe drought has gotten anywhere between three and as much as four inches of rain, not a drought buster. But now I'll hear field is up to 6.5 inches of rain. The month. This is now the 18th Wet is June on record, and I wouldn't be surprised if we probably had another two or three inches to that across the metropolitan area. By the time we get to next Thursday is when the next drought monitor map comes up. I think the drought of 2021 is going to transition into a flood of 2021 Well again, you know, if you are a gardener, which I am, you can't just dump tons and tons of water on a plant expected to grow. It's best if it gets a little You know, gradually soaking rain if you will well but frequently And another. I think I think we've gotten those soaking rains frequently. But unfortunately, when you get a soaking rain with this kind of pattern, you get two inches in about four or five hours and guys think about this. Last year we had the wettest May on record, and then we got really hot. In June. We had one of the we had one of the driest try Julys on record. And if you remember by the time we got to early August, as as you pointed out, raid went back to looking like a Triscuit. Missing Illinois boy AJ Freund found dead and his parents are charged with murder
