"That type of power. It's just it's too. It's too late for both of those jobs that's too hard and exported. Yeah, the jobs are so demanding, and it's different than it used to be, where some guys could pull it off. But it was even top back when I played because Nellie was GM and coach and it's just you know, you only have so many hours in a day. And you have to coach and you have to be the GM. And and let's be honest. They both want the same thing. But the coach wants it now in the GM has to do it for like the next five years, like, Okay, we have How do we get better now, But we need to continue to get better. This is like a long term thing. So really, when you look at, uh What? They're what they're going after. The coach is now the GM is now and I gotta worry about the future. But I think both of a bright and it wouldn't surprise me if Jeff got the Houston job from what I'm here, and I don't know that that'll be that'll be the second go round with exactly because it was there. Ah, few years ago with Tracy McGrady, McGrady was believed, and Yeah, but, yeah, I think they're both really Really good at what they do. But just as long as you're coaching just flat this coach, I mean, I know Jeff Van Gundy coached the nobody cuts the world team, the US World team or something with a part of USA basketball somehow last year. And and He's thought of pretty highly in those circles, and he's waited around a long time. Now. The question is, he's been out of the game so long. How How does his philosophy fit with today's game? It's much different than the last time he coached and not to say he can't adjust wouldn't adjust. Of course he won't. I mean, he's a bright guy, but it's still a lot different than what is philosophy. Would be now I never got a chance to talk to Stan. But when I was doing game for ESPN gonna talkto bad chance, talk to Jeff a lot, and he was always engaging fun to talk to, and I always find them really bright like a When I asked him questions I was like, OK, Yeah, OK, it's interesting..

"Oh and it's got my twitter feed. The show's twitter feed the show's facebook feed is well And if you enjoy it and the other platforms forms that you've been Listening to it on. That's fine too and if you're on those platforms rate US review a since subscribed that helps doesn't cost you a thing. So Tommy texted me me yesterday. A list put out by RT NBA They seem to have a big following on twitter. Two Hundred Twenty six thousand followers sent me the thing the thing that they did where they identified every single. NBA teams all time. Best Franchise it's player. Yes franchise player not necessarily the city that they're in now right the franchise which includes its origins. Yes you see. See that with the Hawks which I think they got wrong with Bob. Pettit as the old time hawks dominy as as opposed to Dominique Wilkins. Great that it would be mine. But you want to start with the wizards all time franchise player Gilbert Arenas. Oh my kid insult assault. I mean this is what happens and this is why tweet it out. This is what happens when you hire children. And you know this is what happens when you have people who believe SORTA SORTA like you in a way. Sometimes that the war that the world started when they were born and that nothing happened before them this is how you wind up with Gilbert Arenas as the best player that's wizards franchise history ignoring a wes unseld Who who won the MVP e and the rookie of the year in the same year when they were with the ball when they were Baltimore Bullets? This is so so this is franchise history so this is going to be hard for me because in my world it started when they got to Washington as you just described and because of that my all time Washington bullets slash wizards player would be Elvin Hayes and we. They slight edge over wes. Slight well Elvin Hayes again would be above love Gilbert Arenas Earl Monroe well of course would be above Gilbert. Arenas you could make the case. That Bobby Dandridge bobby you would be above Gilbert. Arenas John Walls above Gilbert Arenas really I definitely. I don't know if I go. Oh my God yeah John. John Wall is definitely if I put together my top five Washington by the way. You're forgetting Gus Johnson. Yeah in Baltimore No. I didn't get to him okay. So Elvin Hayes. Wes unseld John Wall Bobby Dandridge and then for me after those four it's either gill or fill. I'd probably go with Gil as the fifth best Washington Washington bullets slash wizard of all time if Phil hadn't gotten the back injury. And he had played another four five years healthy in Washington heat easily. Be in the top. He he was a sharpshooter But Elvin wests in West or one to in whatever order you want to put him in. I put Elvin first and West Second I put West I personnel but if you consider Baltimore you probably go west I in in Elven so yeah Because West was not only the rookie of the year sixty. I mean what. What's remarkable I mean? And and that's when that's when Thurman was playing Wilt Chamberlain was playing that was Russell's last player in in the NBA. And what was read was playing. And let me get to Willis Reed with the Knicks. So hold on. Where's the next next? Pick Patrick Ewing and a a lot of people tend to agree with this. I would just tell you that Wallace Reid played into NBA finals. He was the MVP in both does finals and he went against Wilt Chamberlain. And both of those fine I know okay so I'm sorry but wouldn't you put walt frazier ahead. Patrick I I I thought about that a lot and to and to bend over to be fair I wouldn't. I mean my initial reaction would razer was a champion. I know that I know two time champ. Yeah I was as host of those championships three Dave Bush. I understand that you know but I wouldn't put him eh but I would definitely put well. Let's read ahead of Ewing. You know I mean this is a sloppy thing. They transpose the pictures for Isaiah. Thomas and Alex extinguish so. They've got Alex English for the nuggets. Yeah well who. Who would you pick the nuggets? Absolutely I think algae missile no Alex English. Alex English was a great player. Okay so was David Thompson for a short period time. I would say Alex English. We'll be doug it gets but they have Alex. English is picture with the pissed. I guess I would have Alex English. How many times it Al.? Alex Alex English lead the League in scoring. It was a couple of times right. Yeah he he was a prolific perfect score. He was and then they have say Thomas's picture With the Denver Nuggets so they got that wrong. What no they got the pictures? You know Another one. I pointed out to them was that they have Chris Paul as the greatest clipper of all time. Bill Walton. Well no no. I didn't do that but I went back to Buffalo. WHO's there to buffalo brain yet mcadoo mcadoo who want to scoring titles while he was Wood Buffalo And I mean he was with buffalo for six seasons. I'd consider Chris Paul over Mac do well. How long was Mac? You do in buffalo six years it was from sixty nine seventy five. It's close. It's not close to me. I mean Amanda do I eh so get. The biggest debates are Lakers and celtics the great teams where. There's so many options. I'm GonNa tell you right now now. Magic number one all time Laker and I don't care what people say about Kareem or Or will or anybody else. Magic would be my number one LAKER I. I think they did have magic yet. Did why but I can live with that. If you put Kareem as lew Alcindor as Milwaukee Milwaukee Buck I mean he wants three of his. I think he won Let me see hang on second I'm not sure. Hang on a second. Well uh he will. They won the title when Oscar was on the team S. over Boston yes He played he played in Milwaukee. It had to be six or seven years Ahmed. Yes he did. How many years I think six years Here's what they played for. Six seasons one is only two NBA scoring titles With the box and three six. MVP's were with the bucks so you could easily make. The case knew him. Well it's not you don't even make. That's that's the answer to that. But that wasn't their answer. Who was there aunts? What's the guy who's playing who plays for them now? The Greek Jaanus. Yes well of course. That's ridiculous at this now he he may become it. Yeah did anybody watch the playoffs. Last year when Kuwait letter took him to school in the postseason You know the I'll tell you what I'd I probably pick sidney moncrieff or Marcus Johnson. Just thinking about some of those good walkie team at over honest at this point I would too but you could make Kareem when he was Luau Cinder the best bucks but home and then what did you pick Kareem over magic. I wouldn't. I'd pick magic. Okay but what if he didn't play for Milwaukee still pick look pick magic okay. But that's a tough one. Oh and now. Here's what's not a tough. Kobe measures will. This is not enough one. I love Larry Bird and I think Larry Bird is is an underrated great player. I think he's maybe one or two top six or seven point or you don't have to convince me. Okay but bill Russell is the number one celtic. I mean. It's not an argument but they have Larry Bird as if Russell's eleven championships. I know different different different league than I mean but you see this is what I don't get Kevin. I'm not gonNA argue with you. I think I think if it hold on. I think if you told me I had had to vote on this. I think I would definitely pick Russell. Yeah I think I would definitely pick Russell. Even though this is the problem with teams like the Celtics and the the Lakers is that you could take their next four greatest players of all time and spread 'em around four or five other teams that that don't have players that even come close any of them right yes you could was so willing in the NFL. I mean it's still not arguable. Among most people that Jim Brown his greatest player in the history of the League. Jim Brown hasn't played football in fifty year. I know but we are willing to accept. Why are we and then baseball? Same thing people say Willie mays is the greatest player to ever live your play. He hasn't played in almost fifty years. What we're willing to accept that but not in basketball and that angers me I don't know why well you and I do know you thirty years since magic? Play to Magic's my number one all time time that's true it's actually now twenty years since its shortened bless. Yeah so I just I just. I think people are more reluctant to in basketball because basketball players are so athletic. And you've argued this. I don't think it's as prevalent as it is. I don't think the differences in Athol. Oh athletes system and basketball players. Has that dramatic. I don't think it's more dramatic than it is in football players or baseball players. Say that it was just more dramatic and all sorts physical evolution. I I know but we're not on speed dial with evolution Kevin. I understand that. But I'm telling you with respect to sizing up these athletes. I told you this like several months ago and I'm forgetting the game but on NBA TV. One Night I was sitting there watching touching it and they had the lie the way the broadcast came live on. ABC of Lakers Celtics game something in nineteen sixty two. And and I'm watching the greats Jerry West and Bill Russell and cousy and all these players and I'm telling you Tommy is. I was watching this and I've talked to a lot of people because because I made that comment I'll never forget guys like Gary Williams called me and other people called me and said you're one hundred percent right. I think the Mathis team this year would would win a game against that nineteen sixty two. NBA Finals team by thirty. Well they couldn't because they wouldn't get a shot off because wealth would block every shot probably couldn't wouldn't okay. I mean they call you. Know the story about Wilt Chamberlain when he was like. Oh Russell Russell is going to have to come out to about twenty five feet to block their shot. You know I mean you know oh I mean wilt There's a story that when when I think what was like forty eight years old playing a pickup game and in La and with at some NBA players and somebody did something to disrespect them and he said basically announcing the court gentlemen. There'll be no more basket then. That's a good single shot. That came down when he was four years old right so yeah I mean there could be a bit of a reach for me but A College Team I. It's just they're bigger stronger faster than everybody. Not then everybody I always point to Carl Malone like if you look at Karl Malone and and you look at his measurements in the in the in the early nineteen nineties mid nineteen ninety s late Nineteen Ninety S. He's phys also remember what he was a player. You Take Carl Malone from Nineteen ninety-seven and PLOP them down in two thousand nineteen. He's GonNa look like the rest of the guys say he's GonNa play like the rest of the guys but you know even the difference between Jordan who was barely two hundred pounds one one one ninety five and Lebron. Who's to seventy you know? It's just a massive physical difference. You and I when we first started do the show you know and I remember Tracy McGrady McGrady was one of these players in Ethiopia turned out to have all those injuries et Cetera Cetera. Yeah but I remember saying to you because you and I both love basketball. And I'm like the biggest difference now is that there are like a dozen players. You can't can't guard one on one with the best defender in the League you. It's impossible to stay in front of that player. And that's why so you saw in the mid. I don't know exactly started. You saw you know consistent double teams like we are not going to let him and have the ball and it's GonNa have to give it up and then we're GONNA play three on four you know for the rest of this possession but guys like you know and it was the real explosive guys early on that gist. There was this quick twitch explosive with the basketball thing that you don't see from way back in the day and I also think the ball handling in particular the shooting with there's not much difference in in terms of great shooter back then and a great shooter except for the distance you know back then a guy that shot a thirty foot jump shot it was a heave. Now it's just a jump shot from half court Lebron can pull up from just inside half court and shoot shooting normal jump shot. It's not a he..

"It's not bad I think people repin on Porzingas for just because I guess he's a New York knick and people really WanNa see I guess I mean. He's just not as good but I don't know I think you'll get back to that level. He's never it was never really a post player and that was Kinda gross yesterday but he can he just needs to get his legs. It's ten games not to give an excuse but I think and I hope we'll see a seven three guy who's got such a unique skill set. Be Better Fun win. Again for the Knicks with Marcus Morris. Hit five five threes. The Knicks hits thirteen threes on the night. Shut Thirteen thirty. That's really solid percentage. Of course from distance that helped in the wind just felt like home run threes though before I mean I was obviously watching this game. But I'm doing some work as well getting ready for this show and watching some of the other games on it and it's like there was a stretch where every time I looked up at the game at the next game. It was like in Marcus Morris his hands and he was like running the off. Jeff and I'm like that's not a good sign and like again. He delivered last night Kudos to him. But that's scary. Yes he is your go-to possibly best often randall. Had A decent isn't game. Seventy and ten and he shot pretty well last night. But like it's so weird that that's like those are the two guys confirmed the first four or five minutes. The fourth quarter was awful basketball. Dont you choose on the bench and Porzingas to and and I think Mars was to no one could score. Yeah and it was. Just Oh my God. This is awful and ugly Gli. What about what about the guy that got for Christmas presents? Dennis Smith Junior hitting a shot in the second quarter down. Seven down seven and he celebrates over with Spike Lee. Hugs Smiley come again. It's their super bowl. He had a great game. I mean he didn't come back obviously some tragedy and his life. Maybe it was a Cathartic for him who who knows but Mitchell was great for the next. I will say that doing his part seven of eight and a Lotta those just the lob variety and it was cool to get the tweet in the I Lucas I g moment when he was when he caught fire and there with the step back threes. I think it was the only hit those three threes for the game. But they're all linderoth eleven points and I mean he's had another triple double last night. Just a casual triple-double. He's he's just awesome to watch so much fun to watch some of his passes as well like laser. But you know what I'd like to say about one pass okay because I saw the porzingas what who did he pass it all year round is back to the corner. I think it was like the you know the videos are like can you believe the Vision on this guy was finished me. It was a garbage pass. Yeah it was a horrible pass. I'm not kidding it was Smith owed or Hardaway Junior. Yeah yeah it wasn't a good pass. Even though I went behind his back I didn't really need to and then it like the guy had to reach out and grab it then reset like relax. He makes amazing passes. You don't have to pick a bad pass. Just because the guy went behind his back now have view like one thing you have to like everything attacked. That's like rebounds I like ever since you mentioned that I can't stop watching bites lights on the rebound boy. He's on the rise. I ness everyone's in love with Steph. Curry is we're on there. Is everyone loves you until you get too good then. Yeah this guy we hate. It already turned that I just think there was a bit of a reach with that clip. Yeah I think tweet tweet from Yokich. Oh I sure we did now. We're talking now. That's a pass thank you thank you got some quality control with you. Yeah I wasn't again if you other people tweeted at something you can't then tweeted that. He said Aww let them run with it. As long as we're complementing each other pass. That was a great tweet. KRISTAPS porzingis forgetting which locker room we go into test. Well tweeted great. tweets trae Nice collage the hats to bring back to mellow. I thank you very much. Did you ever chambered no. Oh I just knew it was out there to be honest with you. I looked for the Google images. Let me take you behind the tweets women just little blurry looked at the twitter images crystal clear skeets just to go full circle. I did love seeing. I do love seeing that poll about engagement. It's great go behind the tweet. I think there's a podcast is right the tweets when we get people on the phone and through the process. We don't want to hear about your long forum stories. One hundred forty two two hundred and eighty characters. Tell that's how you got there. I love it behind the tweet Finally from last night guys Paul George made his debut scored thirty three points. But it wasn't enough as the clippers uppers fell to the Pelicans one thirty two one twenty seven. This was the one that I was watching on. Leave Pass while I was trying to watch the KNICK game kept my eye on this one what what did you think of Paul George. He said he thought he was terrible. Despite despite putting up thirty-three unlimited minutes in foul trouble and play twenty four minutes. I think I thought he would find for coming back of double shoulder surgery. He's such a silky smooth game like you just cruise along at this. You remind you of a little bit. GotTa McGrady McGrady vibe to them. How he moves on the other side Jason? TATUM trying to be Paul George in a very interesting. That's got Lee thinking here. He's leaning back in his head is up to the ceiling. Leinen Lee Ellison's here. Yeah I ah who reminds me of because he. He's he's very athletic. We know it and and he's very fast but he doesn't. That argue often a smooth leather. Yeah yes slithery is a great one for him was Paul George and also slithery all Jewish. Sure sorry sorry. Sorry later on. When he's athleticism decline little he was very effective of getting to shop? But you don't have anything trying to it's it's a good one. I can't think of it because usually GonNa sort of explode and Paul. George doesn't do that but he's he gets where he needs to go. You're right about that. You're right about that. Let's hear from you guys out there tweet at us at no Deng sink trae tasks would you. What did you think were you despite the loss and we can get into that Lincoln? Talk Pelicans if you you want to but About Paul George specifically there's a lot of speculation about the fact that he might be heavier right now and I was glad to see his bear arms because his arms did look click. They had a little bit less definition but he was taking bumps on the shoulders. He was putting a shoulder into guy. which is something exciting to see if you're coming off double shoulder surgery? But it's also good that he is so slithery because there. There are a lot of times when he's in the lane and he's able to Kinda just squeeze around the guy and get a shot up to the rim. He might have felt terrible. He probably didn't his lungs or his legs underneath them. But that was an encouraging start. What about just been nice if the clippers play defense you don't lose the slipperiness? I guess you looked awesome to score the way he did Defense he stunk. DOC AS DOC rivers said most game they. They just didn't know what they were doing. But at the end drew Hollywood just stealing the ball and that it was cool to watch because drew holidays a special player on the defensive. And he's he's one of the guys you can just pay attention to and watch on the defense event and have a great time. He's got some defensive highlights that that being said he hasn't started all that well but he had a best game of his season thirty six and sixteen miles and so the clippers fall to seven and five Sexy record their own three without the why and I had no. That's going to be something to watch because we talked about it last year when the clip the raptors were still good when he was out and it wasn't a big deal hill and we kept telling you over and over again it's not a big deal because the raptors keep winning these games when he's not playing it'll become a big deal if the if the team's losing games when load management quiet happening that'll change Andrew. Paul George Get some games and when Patrick Beverley also place because he was playing in this portion Landry shamet out as well so they're missing a few bucks now excuses I physically they should they should should be out of the Pelicans who struggle. Yeah I don't know why they didn't start big Ziv. It's zoo bats. Because they got killed on the boards. Derrick favors twenty rebound gaining in one thousand nine hundred nineteen offensive rebounds. So there's some holes in that defense I see that's the thing they'll be fine on that. Okay good it was ecstasy. MVP EP drew number. David Griffin was talking drew holiday in the off season. And this guy could do little Steve Nash thing here where he may be wins. MVP that's not happening but you said it Tassie struggled shooting the all this year. He had a little break game. There got whoa boy last night literally. Thirty six points. Twelve of them coming in the final four twenty of the game like Redid take over that game which which was nice because it was a close game. Nice to see obviously you said. Derrick favors twenty twenty Frank Jackson Frank Jackson's got one of my favorite name slash looks combos. You see it's kind of unique look to me. And he's handsome handsome Frank Rick Fox twenty three points off the bench. Where the PELICANS? And he's been playing pretty well and Jackson Hayes Man. Yeah the guy puts up highlights even when he's not finishing place. He had a couple where her he couldn't finish the dunk or you or whatever the put back but Entertaining that guy is super athletic. He also has a unique look. Cool dudes on the PELICAN. The girls I was watching the highlights this morning. The girls were loving Jackson Hayes for sure. Wow Dream Bo Jackson Hayes. Eh Jackson like any sort of bouncy hair there in on. That's why my hair is long. They love Kobe. Whites got the flow. Yeah she does have a sort of Robin Lopez going with the curls. The bouts of got a bit of a Paul George Comparison. I've been thinking about it from the shooting standpoint point I could just sort of get where he wanted to get his shot up. It's Alan Houston. He was also known as smooth. Okay defensively Georgia's is better than Allan Houston. Houston was but Alan Houston for me. I I can't picture in my head like Alan Houston sort of like creating his own shot. I know we must have just. I guess I just remember the Florida influence as being such a smooth shooter like in a more spot up situation. Okay I like it for another half hour. A look at the tape back to you Saturday. podcasts we love yeah so anyway good. Pelicans win and they're you know they're they don't have a lot of wins right now. Got Off to a rough start. But they're they're they're in most of these Games Competitive Games and once they get that that Little Zion Williamson injection back into this roster It'll be it'll be fun to seal see them on some of these National National Games. Hopefully and he's back and hopefully that's early December. Maybe we talked about the clippers being shorthand. The PELICANS are short handed to take time Ingram. Oh yeah no ball no art correctly. OKAFOR's good players right. Yeah Yeah So. They're just holding on for dear life right now but it's still still so early all right. Let's get to worst of the week. Ladies.

"In J. might be the best we've ever seen play basketball but he ain't he eighty eight never he never make good decisions when he's the guy that has to make the decisions never worked out for him Kwame brown go back to look at all the guys a call that he passed over when you select a Kwame brown Kwame brown's probably what how do you think he is now want to brown's got to be what thirty six maybe browse the audibly for how long I was going to talk my head I'm not looking up nothing he is thirty seven the story I was called yes I was close yeah so so he starts think about this he had played the league since when it's been a lease what was awesome he was in the late iris good yeah he he was with the Sixers two thousand twelve thirteen I was close that was one of the that is one of the bigger bust in the last twenty years yeah it is it just the way that they're wired that if you're a superstar I mean because we see like good players I got like a Danny Ainge has turned out to be a great executive in Boston but for whatever reason yeah that the super stars just it it doesn't I don't know why you said what and it's all it's all sports I don't know why it's that way though and it is a lot of sports I just the I OP that's so intriguing to me it's it's always gonna be intriguing to me but the reason why it's even more intriguing to me is because Michael Jordan everybody loves he's so bad at it in to me he cemented his legacy as being one of the worst GM slash owners all sports this week he submitted has to be hands down one of the worst personal guys in sports listen to what he said that Steph curry right now is not a hall of Famer what are you smoking Michael we know you love that Hennessy but what he was talking to a reporter for mine in BC listen to listen to what he says here we go out there and represent greatness every single night to Steph curry should be offended when watches hope not are you still a great player now hall of fame yet though he's not a hall of Famer I guess all right now give Steph curry didn't play another game he's headed to the hall of fame he's a back to back he was the first unanimous MVP how many rings they got three come on in J. what what what is what is on my gosh in a shop say he owned a yak he drinking a yak come on man what's Jordan what the you don't think he really believes that the no he no he believe that when Michael Jordan talks like that he's talking with a straight face like he's not trying to Michael Jordan is not trying to be hot take guy he's not he don't do a whole lot interviews either I just unbelievable that he was a bit like who won their right mind thinks that Tracy McGrady's a hall of Famer in Steph curry's not hi Tracy McGrady shouldn't be in the whole thing McGrady McGrady we go he was he was good not a whole thing now Steph curry's not a hold of it but this is am J. the worst GM man he's a worst personnel guy wars owner guided that in sports has to be he's got a rank up there maybe I'm going a little far because we got some terrible ownerships in with the band goals and and with the Browns but my goodness for MJ to say that how much how much marred by how much control does he have player personnel and in Charlotte I mean is it is it is it is he like V. now what part you got an ownership stake a GM so you pretty much won't tire from what he brought he brought home who did they bring on board was it up cut check Mitch Kupchak they they recently I have to see who the arm because I'm pretty sure unless they do something in the off season I don't know about but it doesn't matter who you bring in it doesn't matter who you bring in whoever you bring in it's Jordan that like that's everybody knows that it's it's Jordan do you think anybody's calls out over Jordan he's well I think he's I think is the majority owner but it's like that's the problem with some of these guys you're the the ownership and I think that's a problem a Daniel Snyder that's a problem with here but Jerry Jones he's you for you call not call the shots yeah I missed object is with the Charlotte on he is yeah yeah he is but but the bottom line is Mitch may have the title was GM what is the jays team yeah yes am J. sting specially in Charlotte Charlotte Chicago like the two places you can't tell Jordan anything I want to come how much Michael Jordan worth right now ask your question to look it up in a break I'm looking up at a break I'm def I'm gonna I'm gonna look it up in a break because I am interested about that all right final segment we are take a final look at the other Minnesota Vikings they play watching tomorrow US bank stadium I'll be at the rate at six o'clock between six and seven twenty now take your phone calls at halftime we'll talk Vikings next like died.

Patrick, did you catch those lines? Right. Those down now. There you go. Fanatic song. There you go. Well sung by criss cross. How's that? Hey before we go on a farther. This is my last show of the year. Yes. The next show next week and OB Jim gave is gonna come on and fill in while. I go spend a little bit of family time with my son, and my daughter-in-law Lavori go on I gotta I gotta shout out. Because this is what I do this. My. My life. Elliot's a complete without the following people in it is far as business is concerned and in life in general because I'd like to surround myself with only amazing people, and I try to work for people that really appreciate what we do them. But first off shot up my wife, Tina, she's amazing. She runs everything in the front office, including all the amazing. Designs that are done three d she does things of that computer does not supposed to work, but she does and she does a phenomenal job. So she takes everything information wise, I get when I meet with a customer. I just write myself single line notes, and she can convert that into an amazing drawing. So it doesn't really happen without her and for all the years of service at my son, Chris, and my Donald Donna gave us a big last year. They were here for ten months of this year and still again without them. It doesn't really operate as well. So my subcontractors these people are the backbone of my business as well. Because we don't sub a lot of it out. But I'm going to shout out to them first off Joe Pam McGrady McGrady, excavating, let me tell you something these people do a phenomenal job now in everybody's contract when they build a swimming pool. They said the pool can be within three inches, plus or minus NFL often inch. I'll give you five dollars an inch. Well, that doesn't work at TC water features. We Bill pulls within. Quarter-inch and how that happens is. Well, first off it starts with my excavator. My layout crew, you know, Darren and curry they do a great job laying out and and the world's finest. And I mean, the absolute world's finest excavator in the world is dean and dean zone vacation. So can't hear this but dean can pick a paper clip out of a whole six feet in the ground. And that's where the bucket and Joe you dig as well buddy, doing great job, man and all the amazing guys at work with you. Your fleet is impeccable. When you take about a million dollars. Plus, I'm Joe's probably sitting having a a nicer cocktail now, SRI guy, laughing a million dollars worth of equipment going down the road. That's a that's a semi truck with a low boy, an escalator and four dump trucks are all done up correctly. Look great. They look good. They do a great job in they're claiming they do it. So everything starts at a fund in my steel when you walk on the job that when they've place all the rebar in the whole before we shoot to shell its vertical and. Horizontal twelve inch grids. It's amazing. What an inspector walks up to the job and says that's one of the finest deal jobs I've ever seen and that happens in it doesn't happen without McGrady excavating. Then I use my friends at Virgil verger brothers ate guide. Our swimming pools one thing that's amazing about them is they do a great job for us when we shoot a shell. They know how to they know how to carve a shell they shoot them level and a vertical accordingly we shoot our floors. I then we shoot our wall. Second why because we don't allow slammed gun what I mean by slammed gun day, scrape it off the wall put it in the floor. You have a week floor hands. You will have a crack structure. Don't happen. Not on our swimming pools way. Build pools we build them to last so Virgil brothers. Does a great job Anthony Gavino? Great job. You guys. Do awesome force. Then I go into my tall guys. Well, let's go up. My brother, Mike, you plums. All our pools. And Mike and work seven days a week, probably twelve fourteen hours every day and still not get caught up. That's how good he is. And was have little class in my office with Brian my superintendent and Brandon one of our service tax, and it was explained to them. You know, one of the the way we do things is we try to what Michael does and Mike Smith plumbing in my pools for well over thirty years is we rough in even though we used a rough in we rough into location when we go to Plum, our equipment areas all the pipes are in the right location. Exactly. The centers are exactly the same their light up. Exactly the same. So many sets the equipment. Oh, yes. Do is connected. You don't have to move pipes around and bring pipes to and from it's already there. And the reason he does that is one it saves time. When an equipment said, you're not having to dig the yard backup relocate pipes. Could you screwed it up and every pool and spa? We Plum is exactly the same. So of Chris called me up and said, hey, Tony what's the valve on the right side of the returns out of my system. I'll tell you. It's a spa jets. I'll tell you. It's what it is. Because what it is. You know, it's got a check valve minute. Stop the spa from draining back into the pool. So we do that. Then I got my brother, Tom, and my brother bud, Tom and bud have been tolin are pulls, Tom. The longest Tom's been with me since nineteen eighty two longtime and his longtime guy one of the things is two years in. Yeah. He started two years in the one of the things I explained to Rondo on Friday was all our one hundred percent cement set. I also talked to my buddy, Todd great service guy. Great great guy that does any call and ask me questions this not because I think I'm a guru at what I do. And which I feel I know a lot about swimming pools. I was glad answering questions because it's going to help him do a better job. And it's not like I'm taking his job for me. I don't want the job as just like give him the information. So my brothers do one hundred percent cement tile, always have that way. Our tiles do not leak at the waterline and neither do our trim tiles. That are steps and benches it oh, great job that I got Paul pitchers. He does all our foot or work and S C S P P concrete does our flatwork. And they do Randy and internet acrylics does our acrylic decks they've been doing it for years. They do a great job. My electricity use Ron half. Ron how electric and I use. Joe Lovett Joel has been wearing our pool since nineteen eighty four when we lost our qualifier, which was Joe Abrahams. Joe Joe's electrical contractors number was zero zero zero one four eight while dude. Why do I remember that? 'cause he's malnutrition for thirty years. Unfortunately, he passed earlier this year. So Jones has jobs gotta get qualified. So he can go on a great job force. Your at amazing guy to talk to you guys. Do great work. And we appreciate everything you do for us. Then we have our great friends. If Armstrong aluminum they've been working for my company since nineteen ninety two. So, unfortunately, if they're going to a little bit of the flu bug. I hope it stays away just keep the flu bug away. So most of them in their office have the flu bug. So they are really behind in Thursday's weather Fridays. When people get upset. Well, Friday's a beautiful day. But they forgot to remember the wind was blowing twenty to twenty five miles an hour. Could you imagine holding a screen panel up when the winds blowing twenty or twenty five mile, how sharp aluminum is when it flies? Yeah. Yeah. I could tell you my oldest son went through that. When we're putting a shed together about nineteen eighty two or so a panel blew out of my hands and just about took his leg off. So screens and aluminum don't go together. Imagine holding a sheet of plywood up and the wind blows a parachute. So we don't install screens in high winds and we had gusts yesterday. In the thirty thirty five mile an hour range, so not a good day to put screen and closed up. They work their hardest to do their best. And at the end of the day. What their work is amazing amazing. And I've used had been using magic mar site a aqua pools to finish my polls again since nineteen ninety two do a great job for us Bill. You guys have done an amazing job for us for twenty six. She plus years. We're looking for. I'm not gonna say twenty-six more. I'm not sure I'll be here in twenty six years. I'll be eighty six years old at that time. So I'm really not sure I want to be building pools. I'm eighty six if the good Lord allows me to be love to be here. But I'm I'm I'm I'm amazed because I'm still healthy. I'm still able to do this. And I look forward to do it for many many more years to come. And then we fire the pool up in house. My my Brandon Anderson he's been on a great job force. And it's nice to help them. Learn the industry and teach them and he's now covering are back. I mean, always lease getting good enough to where he don't have to call him. With all the questions and things to do. And don't and don't be afraid to do it. As kind of like, you Chris you sat over there were you frayed to push buttons at one point in time. Probably. Yeah. Yeah. But then again, he got pretty comfortable that didn't you did Denison. You can just close your eyes. You know, where the buttons are. Yes. Kinda the right thing to do. And that's what you try to teach people to do. And we try to hold some classes in my office. And you know, unfortunately, I got to be the teacher. Or fortunately, I get to be the teacher. I'm not gonna say, I'm the world's greatest teacher. But I do get the point across and I do try to educate people on. You know, the way to do things, and what customers expect and what customers expect is for you to do your job. You try to do it on time. You know, the workforce in our industry is still pretty poor. Meaning that we have more work to do than we have workers to do the work. So when you start working guy six and seven days a week to kind of get a little burnt out need a little time off. So my guys are gonna work Monday. Probably a half day they're going to work Wednesday. I don't ask anybody to work those days, but they will they're not going to work on Christmas, which I understand they won't work on New Year's day. And we'll just keep plugging along. And when we're all done with what we can do.

"How come you get to do all this stuff and be so powerful all year doing is playing basketball as if like what they're able to accomplish LeBron? Kevin durant? Whoever like these are their incredible athletes. They're incredibly talented at what they do. And they've earned the right to be able to control their destiny in the same way that you would if you could. Agents. Yeah. I can move. I can do things. I don't have to stay here. I'm trying to think who was the biggest waste of talent like throughout history. Like one guy that should have moved or would have moved. If you could in the NBA. Oh, I mean, I not a great player on bad teams consistently that what darkly was on good teams. But he'd never quite was good enough. I mean, right. I'm trying to think of like an all star. Really the great great players make their teams competitive. I'm trying to think of somebody might like the really grew truly great players about McGrady McGrady McGrady. Okay. Great. He was on good teams. Obsolete got hurt because he was so good. Like one guy. It's not like football where you could be you know, Archie manning type great quarterback. But just on such bad teams. Give me right basketball. Just by LeBron being LeBron definition can't be on a belt team. Right. Kevin garnett. And staying there. Having love, but they both, you know, win got a ring if Kim Kevin love wasn't Kevin love wasn't in that tier K. Jeez. Teams. Generally, didn't suck. Just because Katie was on if cagey never left Minnesota. If he stayed there his entire career, not having black not a ring. But if he did, right? I mean, that's that's what I'm talking about. Great player that stayed in one spot and never want. I mean, but like even sniff diligent Boston Celtics teams that won over and over again with Russell and all that like they have like nine hall of famers right there. The seventh guy coming off the bench on those teams with a hall of Famer the idea the the super team phenomenon his new right? And I don't hate. I love Barclay. I I think if he had the the the chance to do LeBron is doing he would why wouldn't you? I don't know you recruit great players to how you win. Shame football players. Don't have this kind of power. It's a shame baseball players. Don't have this kind of power in the NBA. They've got it figured out the union got it it out in the players more importantly, because we see it with LeBron has been doing over the last couple years signing these one year deals and using leverage in the way, katie's been doing it like good for that, man. Like, this is why the NBA is the league is Charles had more to say not just about Anthony Davis and the fixed being in. But how good the Lakers are. We'll tell you what he said next Branka minutes. He DeMarco far Sodano show ESPN LA how much do you weigh? Because you just ate. Choi now how China way five minutes ago. How much do you weigh Mike? Are you are you above to know, close all your little guy punches thin and out punches? Look punchy looks good. Thank you for show. Does look good. I can't remember the last time I've seen a one at the beginning of like how much I weigh like I've been out of the hundreds for all here's the deal. I've been out of the two hundred zero you got paid though for like it was like at least part of the job. I'm not saying, you know, would you you tell me it, would you be would you prefer to be twenty five pounds lighter? This point. Fifty pounds. Okay. If possible, but I need to thank me. At least, you know, like it was useful for you for a long time..

"I don't think it can be ruled out. Yeah. I just from what I understand the from both the agreement and the hurdles I just I mean, I'm not gonna say never because never is a stupid thing the same the NBA you end up looking like a fool, I think the hurdles are too great. And I think fish knows that. And I think the reason he won't close the doors because she's hoping for some medication to happen or right, but it'd be a change of heart. But I I really think the door is ninety nine point nine nine percent close. But it's not all the way. Clones, I don't think it's has for him. I think no, I think he's still holding out hope that something there's gonna be some advancement or some sort of the right doctors gonna figure out something or there's going to be some way that door opens again, he's still telling what is he thirty five thirty three thirty four C LeBron's Aus thirty four thirty four because it's but I mean he can play tomorrow. I mean, I'm sure he can walk out there hip freeze tomorrow, and he can rebound. Yeah. I mean, well, I the thing that Miami that happened was they had that second half of that season two years ago yet through mode. They went thirty thirty and eleven. And they fell so hard in love with that team. And they had this whole heap culture yet thing, and he culture is a real thing. I mean that is that is not a slogan. I mean, I was down there. I thought LeBron Kerry Pete culture with him every day. Lebron was so positively impacted by being a part of that. But they got so focused on that lightning in the bottle that they will like we got gotta keep the team together. And okay, I think even keep the team together where they really made them the steak was it. They gave you guys all four your contracts right giving James Johnson a four year contract giving beyond waiters four year contract matching that Tyler Johnson offer sheet, which was just beyond topic. Dow that was that was in a front then. I I barely knew who that was when they did that that is that that guy that was awful. I can't believe the did that. Well, and what happened was if sometimes you make one I see this happen. You know in our business a lot Bill is it and use sort of learning extreme somebody makes one decision, and then you have to make eleven decisions the back up the one decision. Yeah. So they they decide to match that office sheet. And so they get this little two year window for his contract with artificially inflated because of the weird way like ballooned at the end like, oh, we have to use the space before Tyler Johnson. Yeah. Money goes up. We have to use this space before Tyler jobs as money comes up, and that really when they don't get they don't get Gordon Hayward. Which from what I understand was greatest presentation they ever gave. Yeah. And and I I told this story to, but Tracy McGrady. Mcgrady told me the story. Now, I want you to think about this when you were a radio twenty one twenty two so great this is the year where Granville free agent McGrady, the free agent Dunkin the free agent, right? They're all the same year. Yeah. Jason kidd. Maybe whatever it was. They they bring him down the private jet, and they bring him to Alonzo Mourning house on this game day. All right. And they have drinks, and they hang out, and you know, so it was like one of the coolest guys in the league. He's still on the coolest guys in the week. They're chilling at those house and all of a sudden this speedboat pulls up those house, though says, hey, Tracy, let's go for a ride they get into the Speedo. They hit the hit go in the speedboat goes, you know, eighty miles an hour process. Dame bay staffing past the arena downtown Miami. Beautiful and oppose in the Pat Reilly south down the coast and Riley standing there holding the max contract offer for him Jesus. First off you said, no to that the plane Orlando number one number two the heat people say that that the that the beating that they had with was even better. You know?.

"Get some lottery Texan and just restart that thing there because I just don't see that this this team is is. Obviously not as good as the warriors team in the west No but I think at this point should the, whole leaks shut, down because no one's as good as the warriors I think you have to plan for the warriors maybe not being the warriors in two years if Klay Thompson Okay but Sally Marta Rosen is the. Youngest guy in the world and he's not. Old twenty nine That's right he's the same. Age, as the guys who are in their prime on the warriors your pride subtract for three years. Now San Antonio and Klay Thompson will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of next year and also Kevin Durant. Can leave anytime he wants from year to year contract, that essentially has with the Golden State Warriors if the warriors stay together for the next, three years and they should just shut the league. Down unless. Some of these guys get old leasing the Celtics. Are going to beat them this year, I do I really do because I shouldn't, shut the league but a lot of people think that like if you're looking at just the warriors you kind of have to still plan for a couple years ahead and I. Think they did really well, for themselves because you've got the. Rose and he's twenty nine years old the average twenty three points four. Rebounds excellent players last year he signed for three more years or twenty million twenty eight million year so he's going. To be your guy for the next three years lamarcus. Aldridge and some other pieces that they have but you. Also get Pertile who's twenty three. Years old he played one thousand, nine minutes. Per game last year all eighty two games like him. Seven. Point five, rebounds one point two blocks he was the ninth, pick and the player to Utah He's obviously a. Better player at this point than Danny green. Who's thirty one years old and is a role player Yeah, he's three point specialists. In the, three d., guy and he's, an older he's a. Veteran now thirty one so yeah he's a better player I mean different positions different, skill set but it makes, sense it also opens up a little bit more playing time for their rookie Lani Walker who. Dick, at, a Miami who a lot of people think is going to develop into a good player for the Spurs again I I don't see that for San Antonio being in the. Middle of the pack in the Western Conference is. Anything to be, excited about all the difference between. Third and seventh last year in the Western Conference was two games so I mean you could be third or seventh Listen there'll be better than they were last year because. Quite land didn't play, it on. And presumably, Dresden's gonna play most. Of the, season so, but let's talk, about the team that. Got co I Leonard Ronald raptors on the seventy Sixers for this year and maybe, the second best team in eastern garments effect that's our poll question of the day at sap twenty-five who's the best team. In, the, Eastern Conference is at the Celtics the seventy Sixers the raptors or someone else so let us know what John twenty-five we think the best team in eastern conferences it should be the Celtics by the most complete team they. Have, the best, depth on their team as well And. The best coach of all those all. Those teams but the raptors if Leonard place. For them which is a question a better player in. The Eastern Conference play he's the best player in history Yes he is and so that's that's something that you shouldn't feel great about the Celtics when a year main competitors got better. I mean they did now it seems. Unlikely that he's going to. Be there for anything more than than the. The one season which is seems crazy to trade the all-star you have to Rosen. For maybe they feel like we. Love culture here's. Great efforts are great, we have a. Legitimate. Shot at convincing quiet I. Just traded the one guy who said he liked playing into custody of Toronto Vince Carter left McGrady McGrady left Chris Bosh left the Marvin Rosen said I like, it here I enjoy playing in Toronto. There's also some financial, constraints there because of the exchange rate and also? The higher tax rate Twi Leonard's going from Texas, with no state income tax to Canada where he's, going to be heavily taxed and then..

Golden State Warriors Celtics Klay Thompson Leonard Ronald raptors Kevin Durant raptors Sally Marta Rosen Pertile Danny green San Antonio Spurs Toronto Dresden Marvin Rosen Lani Walker Aldridge Utah Sixers
