"Ready to pass the bill that will keep the government open and spending until at least the middle of December. Democratic representative Jim mcgovern of Massachusetts thinks the government funding bill will pass by tomorrow. We're going to do everything we can to make sure we don't have a government shutdown. Remember, the last time we had a government shutdown, the Republicans controlled The White House, the House and the Senate. I mean, that was irresponsible. We would not do that. And the fact of the matter is there's a lot of stuff that I would like to see in the CR and there's a lot of stuff that I would like to add on. And I know I can't get it past the Senate. So we have to do the best we can working with the people that we have to deal with. Representative mcgovern spoke on sound on, which airs at 5 p.m. weekdays on Bloomberg. "Require approval from Congress, expanded food stamps, free school meals, expanded free school meals. How do you get that done post midterm elections? Well, look, I mean, we do it because we create the political will and the political pressure all throughout the country to get Congress to do the right thing. But for example, on universal free school meals, California, Vermont and Maine have already done it. And Massachusetts has just extended preschool meals for a year. We want to we want to make it permanent senator de domenico is from Massachusetts is here who is the champion of that. So what we need to do is get done what we can get done on the federal level. If not go state by state by state. But we can do this. This is all doable. You mentioned the enhanced child tax credit that was a big part of the build back better debate, of course, it was actually codified by the house. It never got through the Senate and became law. Is there another vehicle for that congressman? You know, unfortunately, was a filibuster in the Senate. You have to think creatively. I mean, I don't know. I'd like to be maybe a second reconciliation bill at some point. Because I mean, if that's what it takes, I mean, we'll have to wait and see what happens in the election. Yeah. But obviously, I mean, we have more sympathetic people who get elected in the House and Senate. We can do a lot more. But unfortunately, the Senate with their 60 vote requirement makes it really difficult to get some of these things done. Well, we've proven that in the last couple of hours here, and I know you're preparing to debate and vote on a government funding bill this week that will not include Joe Manchin's permitting legislation, but will that, I guess we can call it a clean CR pass by the deadline on Friday? I believe it will. I believe it will. I mean, I think it will pass the Senate either today or tomorrow, and then it will come right to the house. And we're prepared to bring it to the floor immediately. And my hope is that after the election, we can I know some of the differences and get it omnibus budget passed so that we can have funding for all of next year and we can move on. But look, the issues of hunger and nutrition and security, these are solvable issues. And some of it requires acts of Congress. Some of it requires systems to change. And embrace new and innovative approaches to dealing with the issue. And I think that you mentioned the $8 billion in commitments from the private sector. I mean, that money can be used to help support innovative initiatives all across the country that are helping combat hunger and promoting better nutrition. So states can do stuff. They're nonprofits can do stuff. Faith based organization can do stuff. So I'm hopeful that we can move forward dramatically in some of those areas. You mentioned the loss of COVID funding the president's request for $22 billion is not in the legislation that you're looking at this week. Is that a mistake congressman, how long can this go on for before the administration's being blamed again for a lack of resources when we get the next search? Yes. But look, I mean, the administration is doing everything it can. Democrats in the House to try to do everything we can. I mean, we have a problem in the Senate where you need 60 votes. And so you need ten senators to join with us. Look, we're going to do everything we can to make sure we don't have a government shutdown. But I know I can't get it past the Senate. So we have to do the best we can working with the people that we have to deal with. Sounds like Democrats prepare to do another reconciliation bill after the midterms. Well, I would like to, I don't know whether that's just my idea. But. My idea is that we have to get some stuff done. And by the way, I'm just thinking for myself on that. A lot's been made out of the fact that it's been 50 years since 1969 actually since the last food summit during the Nixon administration, congressman, how come it took so long to do another? Yeah, that's a good question. I mean, one is the polarization of Congress. One is the demonization of four people in this country. And the other thing is that to solve this problem, it requires more than just about increasing the amount of money for one program or it's more than more than just having one agency do something. It requires multiple all of government to come together. That's what we're having this conference to pull everybody together. This is not just a USDA issue. It's a healthy human services issue. It's a transportation issue, a housing issue. So the point of the conference to get everybody to the table to talk about something we ought to be able to agree on. And look, we talked about Republicans. George McGovern and Bob Dole, Democrat and Republican liberal conservative came together during the 19 70s and past historic legislation to combat hunger and nutrition and security. They believe you don't have to agree on everything to agree on something. I hope that we can all agree and unite around food and I hope we can also unite around the importance of ending hunger. That's what this is all about. We're thinking big and we're thinking both. We can solve this problem and Democrats and Republicans come together on this, no matter what our differences may be on other things. Well, let's talk again when there's action, congressman, thank you so much for being with us in the middle of what I'm sure is a heck of a busy day. Congressman Jim mcgovern from the great city of Worcester mass. Thanks for being with us on Bloomberg. All the best things. As we turn to the panel now for their feelings on some of what we just heard, Bloomberg politics contributors, Genie Chan seno and Rick Davis with us for a bit of a swing at this Genie. I'm curious your thoughts on Democrats coming back around after the midterms for another reconciliation bill to maybe get some of these policies enacted the consider of the expanded child tax credit as a good example. Yeah, I mean, and that's the rub is much of what is laid out in the president's very ambitious plan to combat food insecurity and 8 years requires action by Congress. And so the Democrats have no choice but to go on reconciliation because Republicans oppose expansion of things like food stamps and school meals. So I think what's going to happen that's going to be hard for them to do and we're going to be dealing with small ball again things that don't take Congress's action, like food labels, which are important, but hardly the type of thing that we need to combat these massive food insecurity, one out of ten Americans facing this problem. I don't know what the rules are here exactly Rick if that's even allowed again in this calendar year, but can we do reconciliation to? You know, so much is going to depend upon who prevails in the midterm elections. If Democrats hold the majority, they'll be emboldened to try and get something through like that. There's obviously an expansive

"Flesh. Doug, thanks. We talk so much about the causes and side effects of inflation. It's a daily story here at Bloomberg knowing that rising prices are leaving people with less buying power and that makes food insecurity a reality for a lot of people and it's why they held the first hunger summit today in over 50 years in Washington president Nixon was in power the last time that happened in office. The White House conference on hunger nutrition and health is what it's really called President Biden spoke there today. Since that time, advances in research and medicine have taught us so much more about nutrition and health, and today I'm convenient as conference again. Because I believe we can use these advances to do even more to make America stronger and a healthier nation. Talking policy and solutions congressman Jim mcgovern of Massachusetts was the drive behind the summit to begin with to the chair of the House rules committee joins us to talk about that and of course whether Congress can find a way to fund the government this week, congressman welcome back to Bloomberg. I'm happy to be with you. You've been working to make this summit happen for years and I congratulate you on it. The timing is remarkable considering the inflation we've seen in food prices, the shortages caused by the war in Ukraine, congressman, is there a food crisis in this country? There is the food crisis, and it's not because we don't have enough food, it's because our systems are set up in such a way that it's difficult for many people to be able to get access to that food. Look, a hunger in my opinion should be illegal, right? There is no nation on this planet that is better equipped to eliminate hunger than us. And it persists because we lack the political will. Hunger is a political condition. Food insecurity is a political condition. Lack of access to nutrition is a political condition. And we can change that. The percentage of people living in homes that are considered food insecure has gone up to about 11 and a half percent according to the census. That's up from a little over 10% just months earlier. Congressman, what's going on in this country, and is that the symptom of what you're talking about? Well, there are many symptoms that contribute to contributing to this challenge. I mean, there's an intersectionality with a whole bunch of issues. I mean, obviously when energy costs go up in food costs goes up, that has an impact. But so does the high cost of housing. So does medical bills? And so and the other thing is that pandemic programs that were designed to provide people some additional help during the pandemic right now expiring because we're saying we're out of the pandemic. So for example, the child tax credit, which provided a lot of relief to many families

Congress sends landmark gun violence compromise to Biden

"Congress has approved its most wide ranging gun violence Bill in decades It's a compromise that shows both progress and dealing with mass shootings and the partisan divide over gun rights A day after Senate approval the House passed the measure on a mostly party line vote with Democrats like Jim mcgovern saying the nation is tired of gun violence The time has come for action While Michelle fischbach and other Republicans say the bill's intent is clear An effort to chip away at the Second Amendment rights of law abiding citizen The bill does not have tough restrictions Democrats wanted like an assault weapons ban and much of its $13 billion will go towards schools and for boosting mental health programs

Understanding the Reagan Doctrine

"But Reagan's position was you can't contain them They're spreading into Africa They're spreading into our hemisphere and violation of the Monroe doctrine And so while we play the game of containment they play the game of confrontation So the Reagan doctrine is based on a principle that you go on the offensive Wisely prudently but no more containment And he was therefore considered particularly by Washington and the Republican establishment as you can imagine By the Putin oids today As wildly out of control and they use the word interestingly enough escalation as you hear the pute noids isolationists pacifists of today They use the same word Escalation Reagan is going to escalate They also said that the Soviet Union would use its nukes Against the United States and its allies So you're getting basically a regurgitation of the arguments that were used by the Democrat and Republican establishments in Washington D.C. even though the pute noise pretend that there's somehow plowing new ground They're not plowing new ground These were the arguments that were made by the likes of Jimmy Carter By the likes of George McGovern That are made by the likes today of a Bernie Sanders And Reagan would have rejected all of it As Donald Trump has rejected if not all of it a lot of it

The Federalist: Corporate Media Celebrates Rise of Transgenders Craze

"There's a piece in the federalist Which seems to have gone all George McGovern when it comes to foreign policy I can't control it you know it's the way it is Corporate media celebrates the exponential rise of transgender craze that helped create the very good article by Casey chalk Which came out today Now here's the thing I discussed this at some level The other night And what I said is the media are not just the mouthpieces Of the American Marxist movements The media are part of it The media are immersed in it Most of these people graduated from the same schools as the politicians that they like In other words the same indoctrination not the same exact schools and talking about the same Ideological type of education So some of them went into media some of them went into politics some of them went into the bureaucracy Some of them went into teaching and on and on and on And so there's a very good piece because what Casey points out is that all of a sudden we have this huge rise In people who identify as transgender according to a Gallup poll released earlier this year The percentage of American adults self identifying as something other than heterosexual has increased to 7.1% Double the percentage from 2012 when Gallup first measured their statistics Almost 21% of Generation Z young adults born between 1997 and 2003 Identify as LGBT

Author Dwight Chapin Reflects on How the US Presidency Has Changed

"We're talking to Dwight Chapin. Who's the author of the president's man, the memoirs of Nixon's trusted aid. And do I just reprise things, you're an extremely young man in your 20s when you serve Nixon in The White House and this book, you go into all of those details and the stories, but I was just asking you about current events and you were reflecting on how the presidency has changed and how Nixon obviously of an older school was willing to be less a friend of the people and to kind of it's an interesting thing. I think this has to do with the advent of the media and social media. It's very difficult for someone like a Trump, for example, to maintain that distance, that Twitter gave him immediate access. And that has an upside and a downside. Yes. Nixon's focused and thought about how do you lead? I mean, this was something he studied and let's take Vietnam for an example. With the Vietnam War, I forget the exact number, but he went on national television like 7 times, had maps had arrows. He took the public along with him. That's why when, I mean, he was elected into office in 1968. And he won an overwhelming majority. He won everything except Massachusetts and the District of Columbia. Which is hilarious 1972. You have to be clear. Mcgovern was from Massachusetts. So the idea that liberal Massachusetts with its representative, running against Nixon, was the only place besides TC. I mean, you talk about a

"Big story of this week in washington. Nancy pelosi is trying to spend not only your money and your kids money. Trying to spend your grandchildren's money and your great grandchildren's money three and a half trillion dollars. And she said she intimated she'd settle for two and a half join or two trillion over. We haven't got it. She's out of here and she wants a big going away party with your money. She just wants a boy. Didn't she. get something big done. Same thing joe biden. "Be like so obviously your family's done well but hearing that and obviously you did already work very hard. Did you ever in your youth for the high school. Did you ever seek out things to the harder. I know they weren't necessarily easy for you either because you has farmers as work but did you ever need to seek out difficulty because maybe there was a lack of difficulty in certain areas. You get saying what you're saying. I i don't know. I think i think i always did difficult. Things growing up So my brother is like my brother's like six to one hundred. Eighty thousand this dude hops on anything with a motorcycle or board. He's a freak. My cousin who's a month or other means the same way doesn't matter if it's a video game or do they just hop on it and they're so naturally good at it And i wasn't huge. Like i was i was raised. I was like twelve racing. Twenty eight year olds. Because i had to like the bike for my age group can hold my fats. You know what. I'm saying. Like i didn't grow like everything i tried like. You know i was doing. My dad did my dad's five eleven hundred ninety pounds so like our bodies were super different. When i wanted to be like my dad. So like me snowboarding or surf wake surfing or wake boarding or just wasn't easy for me growing up and so i guess that's another thing that goes back to where i get my mindset in from it's kind of built like i just been doing it my whole life like well i wanna be like my dad or i want to be better than my little brother so i'm going to just not built for but i'm sure how we're going to try to be really good at it And so it's an interesting thing you know like my friends and everybody starting to have kids and it is interesting to look back and see what forms a kid you know like me. If my family was only football is actually good at that my whole life. You know what i'd be able to persevere. The way i do when i don't know so it's it's interest so yeah so i don't know if i like outwardly. Seeked it But i did want to be a. i do. And what's the package of jobs education other forms of prosperity that you want in place to address hunger is well one is i want good jobs that pay good wages You know when when people say to the government can't solve all the problems but yet those same people are content with providing Snap benefits to subsidize low wages by big corporations. I mean look We need to make that. We need to make sure that work pays in this country. We need to make sure that people have access to childcare to make sure that people can't afford their medical care. All those things are incredibly important. Voters weigh in on Marjorie Taylor Greene as House votes to oust her from committees

"On Capitol Hill were congressional Democrats taking the rare step of removing a member from the committee's with a handful of Republican votes. Georgia Congressman Marjorie Taylor Greene was stripped of her to committee assignments. Education and budget. The final vote tonight was to 30 to 1 99, with 11 Republicans siding with the Democratic majority. Earlier today, the Georgia lawmakers speaking on the House floor for about 10 Minutes. In her speech, she said that she quote stopped believing in Q and on some time in 2018 after finding misinformation, lies and things that were not true. She also walked back some previous comments suggesting that school shootings like the 2012 shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary and the 20 18 Parkland shooting were staged. She also attracted the past claim, suggesting that the 9 11 terror attacks may not have occurred more from the House floor with representative Marjorie Taylor Greene earlier today, So when we elected President Trump and then I started seeing things in the news that didn't make sense to me like Russian collusion. Which are conspiracy theories also and have been proven. So these things bothered me deeply, and I realized just watching CNN or Fox News. I may not find the truth. And so what I did is I started looking up things on the Internet, asking questions like most people do everyday use Google And I stumbled across something. And this is that the end of 2017 called Q and on. Well, these posts were mainly about this Russian collusion, information. Ah, lot of it was some of what I would see on the news that night, and I got very interested in it. So I posted about it on Facebook or read about it. I talked about it. I asked questions about it. And then more information came from it. But you see, here's the problem throughout 2018 because I was upset about things and didn't trust The government really, because the people here weren't doing the things that I thought they should be doing for us. The things that I just told you I cared about and I want, you know, a lot of Americans don't trust our government, and that's sad. The problem with that is so as I was allowed to believe things that weren't true, and I would ask questions questions about them and talk about them. And that is absolutely what I regret because if it weren't for the face Post and comments that I liked in 2018. I wouldn't be standing here today and you couldn't point a finger and accuse me of anything wrong because I've lived a very good life that I'm proud of. My family's proud of my husband's proud of my Children are proud of, and that's what my district elected me for. Those comments from freshman representative Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia responding here is Democratic Congressman Jim McGovern in Massachusetts. Is also the chair of the House Rules Committee, explaining why Democrats decided to proceed with today's four vote that would strip the representative from her two key committee assignments. The party of Lincoln is becoming the party of violent conspiracy theories, and apparently, the leaders of the Republican Party in the House today are not going to do a damn thing about it. Now. I never thought I would say this Madam speaker, but I agree with Mitch McConnell, the Senate minority leader this week. Called Congress one greens embrace of conspiracy theories, and I quote a cancer for the Republican Party and quote I would take it a step further. I think giving cars when green, a megaphone on his standing committee would be a cancer on this entire Congress. None of us get to decide who the voters sent to Congress but his members of this body it is our job to set the standard for the conduct of those who serve here, especially when They cross the line into violence. The Republican talking point now seems to be. I condemn Congresswoman Green's words. But Madam speaker, her words air indefensible period and we must act not because it helps us or hurts them, but because it is the right thing to do for this institution and for America, and that from Congressman Jim McGovern from today. His floor debate, at one point of the representative before elected to Congress referred to Speaker Nancy Pelosi, saying that she should take quote a bullet to the head at her weekly news conference, this from the House speaker, I remained profoundly concerned about House Republicans leadership acceptance of extreme conspiracy theorist. Particularly to service their eagerness to reward a fool, a non adherent, a 9 11 truther, ah harasser of child survivors of school shootings and a value to give them valued committee positions, including who could imagine they would put such a person on the Education Committee today, and the House will vote to remove represent green from her seat on education and labor and the budget committees. That's just so unfortunate you would I think that the Republican leadership in the Congress would have some sense of responsibility to this institution, as they did when they did not see represented King of Iowa or two years ago for some reason. E have chosen not to go down that path. Even though we gave Mr Hoyer gave the leader McCarthy sufficient notice that this was ah, path. We would follow that early today from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. It was last night in

She's here today to show you how to say. Thank you how to show gratitude to your team to be the best leader possible to cultivate that kind of culture in your workplace on a pass onto doctor Cindy now. Now we'll be back with my own takeaways to wrap up the lesson but for now take it away Cindy. Hey everybody. I'm Dr Sunday. Thank you so much for joining me today. Today I'll be teaching you. How a simple thank you can make you a better leader? So let's get down to business talk to you a little bit about why the thank you is kind of a lost art form. And why every job including management or leadership job is a sales sales job. Then I'm GonNa take you through a five step formula on how to use this magic. Thank you to get ahead. You need. Get folks to do what you need them to do. And then why why. It actually is super important to continue to do this no matter your role no matter your team. So let's get right to it. The first thing is with regard to the thank you. It's funny we're taught this lesson when we're children right. It's something that we're talking in kindergarten safely's and thank you but as we become adults this becomes comes off bit of a lost art form. We say it but it's sort of a throwaway. We say thanks so much or at the end of the email we say. Thank you so much. Appreciate your help but then it goes. It was away but we don't really think of the thank you or the art of gratitude as a leadership skill set so everybody in your organization comes in contact contact with customers and doesn't matter what they are. What their role is? It's the fact that it's an internal customer or an external customer well whether it's internal or external those people like to be appreciated. They like to be thanked too. So therefore every conversation or interaction is actually a sales conversation. Everybody's selling every day. You just don't call it that any interaction. You've got with a colleague or direct report that's a sales conversation. You're selling them on your personal brand on who you are and what you bring to. The table and leadership does the selling at the highest level. You're doing this often to entities that are critical organization's success. You're selling the idea. Yeah of WHO This company is. You're selling the idea of who your team is. And what they bring to the table too so when you think about your role you've got to be kind kind of selling all day. But the internal communication is were gratitude can actually give you the most bang for your buck because grateful people actually want to do more people who are happy in their jobs. People who feel empowered are the ones that actually want to continue to do that because they're getting positive reinforcement from it. So that's what I mean when I say every job as a sales job including leadership because this is one of those opportunities that you're faced with every single day to be able to empower your team even more so I promised you a five set formula so i WanNa talk about the plan I now planning is the most important part of leadership leadership right but so often leader struggle with this because you actually to sit down and think about it. So let's just use the thank you part for a moment if if we're talking about showing gratitude to our teams. How are you showing gratitude today? What's something that you can share with your team to show them that you appreciate what they've brought to the table so you can explain to them how much what they did on that project or that particular client folder? Whatever it was that they brought to you you really appreciate and you've really appreciate the fact that they put that extra effort into it but you gotTa have a plan to do this otherwise? This is the piece that falls by the wayside. I can't tell you how how many managers I've worked with year after year. Who really struggle with showing the appreciation and when we'd done assessments with teams? We've talked to the employees themselves. That's the thing it falls by the wayside they feel under appreciated and it's to teeny tiny simple words that we got to throw out there but without a plan not can happen so the second thing is once you got that plan you can look for. Those opportunities. Leaders have a multitude of opportunities to kind of sell the. Thank you every day but again without that plan you're not really looking for your spidey senses aren't up and you're not looking for opportunities to kind of say. Hey I really appreciate what you brought to the table but you do have to keep your eyes repealed. This means getting off of your phone while you're walking in the hallway. This means actually reading into the emails and the messages that people are sending you pause breathe and think about what that person did that has really helped the organization to move forward and then show them that gratitude. And then you've got to establish trust you've really gotTa show the folks around you that you hear them and you see them. And this is one of the most heartbreaking parts in business right is when people feel like they're not being seen or they're not being heard and it simply because we move at the speed of business. It doesn't slow down and in fact if anything. It's speeding up now with technology. So we've got to show them damn that they can trust us that we have their back that we do appreciate them and that we want them to be part of this organization going forward without the trust of their team leaders. You you can't be effective but they need to know that you hear them in order for you to be able to have that trust goes both ways and then finally got to ask for what you want asking is a big piece of this to leaders have verbal as what they want and they have to be able to empower their teams to do so and then in that ask is also. We're also showing them. How grateful you are that? They are able to do the task. You're asking their up to the task that you're grateful that the report of this team empower them with gratitude. It's such a simple thing but it is so often left behind with that gratitude. That's really the final step. And this is where most really senior leaders fall down because we think we're showing our gratitude with a paycheck. We think we're showing our gratitude because we put thank you in an email because we did an office party. It's not Nov guys. You've got to show them whether it's victory or defeat you've got to be constant in your gratitude whether the company did great whether the company did not do great great. Everybody should show the gratitude of getting us to where we were today and learning from that and then showing gratitude is reinforcing the that trust is showing them and regardless you appreciate the fact that they put forth the effort and recognizing those problem areas as well as the achievements. The problem areas are the ones that we're learning from so make sure our team knows how much you appreciate them even making that extra effort and then it also shows that the activities that you're reinforcing with these guys and you're showing them him. How much appreciate it? It actually empowers them to want to do it more. It's sort of like if you've ever seen a little kid and you giggle it. Something that they do they do at ten thousand times more will. The reason is because we're hard wired that way as human beings we want those applause we want those accolades and as a leader the accolades thank you so another thing that I mentioned in the very beginning which was the thank you goodbye kind of thing and I think thank you should never mean goodbye. It's not a C- later kind of greeting or or salutation. It's not the end. It should be the first step in continuing that relationship and deepening that relationship and nothing comes after thank you. Nobody fills fulfilled. Nobody wants to continue to do this. Sort of that throwaway piece. It's like throwing the you know love you bye before you hang up the phone. It's just not enough enough and it's not really heartfelt either the thank you should be that ongoing piece of letting them know that I see you. I appreciate you. I love what you're doing thing and I really want to show you. How grateful I am that? You're a part of this and it's really that shift of your own mindset. That happens to be able to to throw this out there guys. I can't tell you enough. How important this particular lesson is for any leader in any organization whether you're leading sales organization whether you're an engineer whether the back office whether your client facing or not this gratitude piece is part of the brand that you build because if you're building this piece of gratitude it will permeate through through the company it will permeate through your team and then it will eventually get to the customer and people who feel appreciated want to come back? They want to show show you their loyalty because they feel that they can trust you. And you're being loyal to them so easy ways that you can say. Thank you during the day during the week during the month. Just communicate it. It's so simple. Email text voicemail handwritten.

That's the thing it's America's so proud of their freedom freedom you always hear about freedom but freedom freedom for who are somebody cannot kneel at a sports event because of the completely unresolved issues with slavery and the way that black like people are still being treated today. How much am all these videos that we see about phone calls shooting black people for no reason or you know It's so insane to me. They hold onto that freedom factor. But I feel like what they really love is is is their guns and Freedom of hate speech and not necessarily equality or justice or opportunity or any of the stuff that it what you believe. In when you're an idealist they really want to hold onto the tattoos. They want to hold on to everything. That's so negative and gives them an edge over everybody else. which has traumatizing for me? Nobody wants to talk about slavery. Nobody I mean for for politicians. Titians reparations are out of the question is is I in disbelief. What do you mean it's out of the question? These people have suffered and still suffer until today today and these are the videos that we're seeing online that are surfacing. Imagine how much we're not seeing about the mistreatment of black people in this country and I don't know ah I'm sensitive to it because I was born a second class citizen being like Middle Eastern Muslim and a woman were lying. Everybody was disappointed So you know coming coming to North America. The first thing that I noticed is just how bad black people have it. Because it's something you can't hide behind you know people could could look at me and not think I'm necessarily Middle Eastern. I'm not you know. Obviously wearing a veil or whatever putting her out there but a black person cannot you know Jews could high you know. Sometimes you could see see that. They're Jewish Jewish. Whatever but black? This is their life. This is there you know who we ain't passing..

"The entire world and not just the Internet. Welcome to another episode of Dark Tank. Your weekly reminder that seeks or not Muslims certain. Look unless you. I don't know Look I don't. We don't have specific topic this week. I I feel very uninspired. I didn't sleepy. I got like five jobs now and You WanNa go home so I'm just going to introduce you guessed. Hello everybody how you guys doing. We're we're good. I'm speaking for everybody. Sorry okay so we are all actually only okay okay. Do we take a vote before the show it just by show of hands. Who's doing good? Can they see this audio. Only is an audio only show so this week on our panel we got two very good friends of mine too. Very Funny Comics Whom I did not ask for credit? So we're going to get to that at the end of the show Leclercq Andrei how you doing. I'm happy I'm good to be here and I don't know if those are the right word. Excuse that was like sentence I I it was good to be. I'm I'm happy to be here and I'm good what I meant to say. But you know brains. Don't wear early August on April. He's still still doc Amano Hussein's around Saint Patrick's Day and am I able to talk about the day today. Maybe it'd be new absolutely. Yeah it'll come out to leader today. Tamara this episode will come out later today Saint Patrick's Day and this is why I am tipsy right now feeling great. This is my feeling great. Do another take on Patrick's Day. Everyone well I had my. My friends got engage newly engagement. They were partying on Saint Patrick's Day. So it just gives you an insight on on my hi my life and my drinking and my friends surrounding drinking so I'm tip CNN feeling. Great so happy to be here perfect. I'm happy to they said it and of course we the show he wouldn't be the show without our gender preneurs for this episode. How are you? I'm great thanks to be here. Thank you for being here. I'm very excited to have you on the show in of trying to get you on for a while. I I just have so many ideas. Yeah I'm worried about that list. I was looking at my whiteboard that I keep in my room. The interesting choice of no there are blackboards. Court boards the from the Dominican Republic. I just felt like as a white lady was inappropriate for me to misappropriate the whiteboard culture. So okay to shake okay. Well done well done you. Read the literature So it is it is Saint Patrick's Day As we talk about that with would you go celebrate St Patrick's green in honor of but just because I have a show at Caroline's later and I feel like towns GonNa be Ah Saint Patrick's Day pincher pincher be pinched out here. Yeah yeah past somebody I T- I talked to somebody who didn't know that the pinching thing was the thing. Is that a thing that I made up when I was a kid. Or is the pitching real. I don't the thing I think we celebrate here. Yeah maybe we made that up. Yeah that's our Cinco. The demayo thing with I think all these holidays if they don't really celebrate it back home then we've taken every creative liberty we can with them and just do whatever we want with the pitching wearing green. Yeah what is depending green person where their arm or their specific or wherever you want want the nipple. I'm just I'm just thinking like an immigrant from Canada. I moved to America. Everything is about sexual harassment. So Oh yeah yeah. Yeah no you on the but on the bottom. Yeah but I thought Ireland right. Now they're celebrating Ju- send it's huge. Oh it could just be because tourist took it over and they're all getting wasted their right now so I don't know if it's actually a thing but I think Ireland's leaning into it okay. Yeah Yup okay I and I heard This is not verified by any sources but I talked to somebody who said like the whole thing is like celebrate the Saint Patrick's chasing the snakes out of the snakes. Please tell me the snakes. The juice is snakes the juice I don't know I don't think I I feel like it's all like I feel like every year like I don't know every like of cute story that we think is fun and exciting news. Excuse this whole time. Oh the Jews like the booze what do we own jus again. It's always I guess because they were the first minority in Europe Europe so there were like the ones that are picked on always. Yeah dirty mean it was like I remember seeing a black comic. I wish I could remember his name at this point when I worked when I first started. Stand up in Montreal. Who said something in the effect like if the if black people were in Europe the Holocaust would have happened to black people not the Jews? It's like what efforts the most different is always targeted for racism. Anti Semitism misspell like alive. And well because you know you're still not conforming to Christian wait. Yeah Yeah I also think there's I think that Jews are attacked in most places also because they're usually disproportionately successful as well. So it's one thing to I hate them because they're different but if there are different and like killing it to sharp that's what makes it really easy to isolate them and say we gotta do something about these group of people because they're doing very well and they're not me. Yeah we see that in Egypt a lot like yeah Christians in Egypt since the day huge minority but also close how Iraq disproportionate killing it and they're persecuted of that. Yeah so yeah. I do think there's something something about Being successful and also absolutely I think when you're a small number and you WanNa like you know you wanNA create a safe haven within in your tiny community in a country that you know you're in a minority N.. And people do tend to get jealous instead of like celebrate you be like this is our minority. Indeed this is so great that they're doing so well which is interesting because they will celebrate you in when they want to use that to put down another group of Shar. Are you see people as a lot of people like the same type of person that would like that bashes Juzar H.. Twos then goes on to be like well. Jews made a place for themselves in this country and they've They've been successful so why can't black people do. What just make up your mind what do you? What do you want us to do was like that was like Brooklyn kids against Jews because there are landlords so we all kind of feel? It's like liberty to kind of use them as a punchline. Sometimes I mean. I don't know I've talked to people about it's kind of fucked up little community and I wouldn't objectively actively call them successful because most of them are living at the poverty level but yeah because there are landlords you kind of feel justified of like while he was chasing me for rent last week. So it's it's I think it's That people who are familiar with persecution are also more energetic about like rallying for other people who are are suffering from the same type of persecution. Right you would think that groups who are so familiar with suffering would be like you know what we have a lot in common but they're not it's not Mr problem. I've already gone through it. I'm not dealing with that I have a friend who Who is Jewish who's a big supporter of juice supporting other marginalized groups? He gets so much pushback from the Jewish communal. It's it's insane. I think there's also just like in any subgroup there's gotta GonNa be like tribalism group think within that group and I think there's a lot of like erasure of non White Jews and Non White like Latinos or whatever other group of people so I think just like I don't know it kind of makes sense. I'm not in the sense that like it makes sense that it happens logically into it. No that's a great idea. You get you get thanks. Yeah exactly like Israel is is proof of that. I mean Palestinians. Obviously everybody's GonNa think I'm biased. But I am married till White Jewish woman so I guess I could say uh I don't know but I also.

"From Montgomery McGovern when a stranger stopped beside me strange yeah he was have any which way we can get it and guess what we're ride tonight would Mister Tom Taylor that's no surprise the body right Tommy what yes good morning Sir how are you I'm wonderful the chip says it's only a mile mine but you know that goes I guess you but you are do a great job and keep it up good job in the magic throne in the show run of the problem the button tell me always yeah yeah yeah yeah he's he's helping out well Damon wakes up for his slumber he must have been like a is the polar bears at slumber extra longer the whole group is is like that something like that I don't know but anyhow he's on his way on in search of man and the board but Hey man we got a lot of news the sports world what I would do let's start with NASCAR gets worse it's championship weekend on Friday night with the truck series and well Matt Crafton wins it again he doesn't pull it back to back title he did not win the race often the won the race Matt Crafton wins the championship for the second consecutive year that you have three title mark able Balin Jack Sprague and SO exceeded only NASCAR older model relayed you're you're so again big big win for my craft and his third straight NASCAR is third or just a NASCAR Ganderbal truck championship all the ones one more round one of the junior so congratulations on Friday night grab the one in the truck series then last night Saturday Saturday afternoon rather tolerating again does it again back to back championship so this guy in the red hot it will be a little bit of the Cup series and so tolerating only the seven driver to win back to back Xfinity series championships some of those guys the previous Sam artillery Pearson Dale Earnhardt junior Martin your junior Ricky junior jacking room table are big all these guys in one to two titles are won back to back here is like again the reading of the the reading the first driver to do it ginger he sent out the back in two thousand eleven two thousand twelve so structured Matt Crafton tolerated wins Xfinity series so what's left of the later today yeah down in Florida you've got the championship look up series Denny Hamlin Kevin Harvick Martin director your cow budget for the role of the poor that would be duking it out Joe Gibbs again with the three other drivers you know research center on the table early this week in a conference room I'm sure one okay the other single men even touch even a great spot the top spot because you got three drivers in the championship obviously on the one from the one in ninety Kevin Harvick without even a driver so yeah you got it goes I've already goes and just got to keep the peace and they're all professionals of course but you know they're still competitor so we have to seven that I'm sure he did in the leg I know whatever it takes if we can walk is hardly go we want one of our guys to win it yeah and and you know I don't know you know I love you David you're ahead of me and I get a chance to win also in dog but later moved up yeah well today I want someone that close I can taste it Dave and Jeff I love you boys if you're in the way you will get out of a what I will win this thing so it it's a pretty cool position Joe Gibbs is there but it's a tough position to well yeah there's no question about that but I guess poor cabin he better get out in front stay out in front be my advice to him and when you get modern held a lot easier to rear view mirror you know what I mean and the other thing too is an adult figure doesn't happen so harbors teammates apartment older maybe not told I'm assuming but you know a lot of steak years so somebody somewhere probably said in discussions have a chance to block willow's god make sure our big win this thing as a team right make sure you do that so you know what I may be doing it be told it is will do it loyalty to the company level due to store all threatening but yeah well that's pretty interesting and and whatever else will dry weather out there to win a race to the motor I'm troubled spoiler so it's it's gonna be I think a very eventful race literal today yeah I was insecure lot oddballs Watson I meds on TV I think the weather's going to be okay now there is a lot of bad blood brewing you know a lot of Christmas Sir thanksgiving invites got all tore up and thrown out the window so what about any of the guys because I can't keep track of everybody that might want to take out one of these top dogs because of what's happened here last month or two well joining the god of is not in the bottle for because any animal bigger metal points and course Hammond is one of the four logo on it we got it was not so you know last week he was pretty Adam look it's pretty disappointed and understandably so in these guys you know they're just like you out a little when they're out of the way and that's the that's what they do not want to get paid to do so you know we need to come into play it's a good question why what have you log will be in the championship when you know it bothers you guys so take that and accelerate down to the fact that he and Hammond in your long long course did you go to the well yeah the only draw you know I can't go on a lot of like these guys raised thirty but I will say you know if given the chance I'm just a little tactical tablet of course some of the the onus lacerate the cities and some of them earlier I might say in the view tab in black and Bristol wherever separate races ago and I'll see you in the February Dave I might just give you all of them that I've put to the wall and merry Christmas well no I guess you got that right I thought I would die out of there be some of that going on and it entered a one tap deserves another tap and then another teammate sees what happens is all well pay back to be a **** just wait till you get that you have a chance to win the guess what so yeah that that would make for some interesting racing no question about that now let me see we got a lot of stuff going on namely you know we got the NBA now he'd not we got college basketball eaten up all your Kentucky boys took it on the chan by stuff starts I mean what they were what twenty four point underdog or some like getting beat the big boys who that I am a little purple light through the court Calipari he gave improper so congratulations with penny the letter only said I'm paraphrasing in a spot where we are delivered for will be in March and so you know that you keep reloading every year they've got tremendous talent so yelling at me that was real fair and square at Rupp arena which never happens in that much so but again it's one game and you know let's talk about Kentucky in March in March by the slugger do they will be there so what what is what while we go ahead take a an early break time you can hang around right all absolute good ball dog yeah that's what yeah I was going to say you know what college basketball in the NBA and then with all the big games and others a couple big games and now at least one big upset so hold on let me put you on hold and we'll get right take a little break and then her I. Damon once you guys open up the phone banks I'll give the numbers out guys can start getting on board the AT and national number eight eight eight six zero eight seven eight five in the local numbers five one three seven four nine seven thousand now I know our good friend Tommy Taylor always says it's five o'clock somewhere but if you get on board you got to keep it between the navigational boo is because we don't you know put up with any you know what yeah yeah no worries chips of refracts tip that your body back there is that that riffraff now we'll put up a shenanigans around here so we'll take a little short bad break and we'll be back right here ADN the recent report Erica's trucking network the world champion and top fuel.
