"Out there, Philadelphia have different ways to hurt you. They're still going to be direct. We saw that literally mcginn in space, which led to the second goal of the penalty. But when he gets on the ball, suddenly they're playing with a double pivot. And he makes them more press resistant. He allows them to have their sequences, they're passing sequences, are longer just in terms of the number of passes. But they're also wider. So they're able to get those full backs. And both their full backs are great attacking players. So they get their full backs better. And then the other thing is he allows gas stock to play as a forward. When mcglinn's out there, yeah, it's still a four four two diamond in gazdag is a number ten, but I'm doing air quotes when I say number ten. He gets forward because he does not have to orchestrate at all. And there are very specific patterns of movements in possession that get onto the ball in the orchestrators role. None of that is stuff that the union were doing the first half of the year. They just didn't have the passing chops in central midfield, but with mclennan there, they do have those passing shops. And I think it's why they are blowing bad teams out now. How well will it work against playoff teams? As per Andrews research, playoff teams are better than bad teams. So we need to get some sort of we need to get a larger dataset, a larger sample size. But I think that what we're really seeing is that the union, they've become both, they have better chemistry because ur has been healthy now in Quran's has grown into the role and all that. But they also have a different way to beat you than they did in the first half of the year. And mcglynn him Jose Martinez are out there together. You can't stop them from getting the ball to the parts of the field where they want to have the ball. And that is really, really rough against a team with three guys who are putting the ball in the back of the net.

business flash All right Charlie thank you so much You are listening to Bloomberg businessweek Carol master along with Tim's denim Vic And Tim that one headline from the World Health Organization about a crown won't be the last variant But you do you're reminded that this thing's going to linger Hopefully get easier but linger Yeah hopefully look and we've talked to people about this and we're going to talk more about this but the idea of going from a pandemic to endemic and the idea that on the ground could be That maybe look you're not here in New York City the COVID-19 wave is slowing cases and hospitalizations are dropping dramatically from a peak in early January and remaining concentrated among those who are unvaccinated Carol Right but now we're hearing also about animals South Africa Hong Kong like there's some concerns about that All right it's never a dull day when it comes to COVID Hey let's bring in our guest doctor Tom again He's executive vice president of physician enterprise over at common spirit health They've got more than a thousand sites in some 21 cities excuse me and 21 states I should say They are massive team and they see a lot and he's back with us on the phone in New York City Doctor mcginn nice to have you here with Tim and myself How are you and what are you seeing Great to be back And good to talk to you again Well I don't think we're seeing anything different than what you're currently saying I do think as you go across the country you can see the cases Particularly in the east coast as you've been stating here in New York and Maryland New Jersey the number of cases are obviously starting to turn down which is good news The tough news is obviously that hospitalizations are in other areas picking up as this virus moves across the country So we have pockets in areas where we're seeing a little downturn but we have pockets where we'll probably at the beginning of this inflection we think we're going to be all our prior records and the original January phase that does the way we're going to definitely be in terms of hospitalizations We're going to probably peak over all the prior quote unquote records which is difficult with staffing Yes Right now I think that's the combination that we're all struggling with So yeah that's obviously not just the healthcare industry but it puts it in sharp relief when the doctors and nurses who've been doing this for close to two years are just under such strain that it's difficult to find a place in certain hospitals Hey doctor McKinnon wondering because you have such a unique view of what's happening in different parts of the country and more than 20 states How would you characterize the people who are hospitalized right now What can you tell us about whose hospitalized you has been vaccinated and boosted versus who isn't It's a very good question I mean it's pretty well delineated I mean the number is a little bit Barry but I would say anywhere from 60 80% of those admitted are unvaccinated probably closer to 80% And in some places 90% And we do have some of this We don't know the number I think it's an interesting question of the incidental COVID which is kind of a misleading term So example of mister Smith a young man comes in But then ankle fracture needs to be seen they swap heavy positive So he's not at every cost of COVID So he's incidentally diagnosed We don't know what that number looks like And that could be anywhere from a couple of percentage points maybe up to 10% Now you still have to isolate them you still have to have protection It's still very complicated to manage those patients But in some ways they're not a traditional COVID case So predominantly unvaccinated people are getting admitted to the hospitals the remainder are going to be those with comorbidities that obesity diabetes hypertension Cardiovascular disease et cetera Doctor Ricky I do wonder to are you saying cases where you guys and your teams and your emergency room staff are having to make decisions because there's just the systems are overloaded and you maybe can't have someone come in because maybe it's not because of COVID but for some other reason you just can't let them in because you just don't have the capacity We haven't reset point I think thankfully that is not something that's happening The choices that we're currently facing And again this is very particular to different cities and different prevalences of the disease that's occurring is whether we have to shut down other procedures that we do Some of them are potentially life lifesaving Maybe we have to have patients go to another site for certain things Some of our hospitals have had to shift out of their elective procedures sometimes we've had to pull physicians or nurses or advance care providers out of ambulatory sites to come in and help cover So there is an impact but it's sort of an indirect impact But no one is ever getting turned away in the sense that they could not get care but we are pulling things away from other resources the elective procedures for example Not everyone's in small pockets that's happened What are you telling the world at large I mean Tim and I have had guests on who basically have said you're all going to get this I'm home because I've had a positive rapid and my PCR came back negative I don't have any symptoms I'm pretty sure it was just a false positive But nonetheless we're being careful Which is the right thing to do But it reminded me that if it's not now it's probably just a matter of time Is that the way we need to look at it Well I would say well first and foremost I would say we all just need to just really focus on doing all the smart things because of our hospitals and our healthcare workers and everyone involved in this We need to do what we can to stem the tide I'm a little nervous with all the messaging oh this is the waves are coming down and all of that effect We need to continue to get vaccinated boosted We need to get the influenza shot which is picking up across the United States We're now seeing young children get admitted for influenza in what we predicted over a year ago the twindemic is happening now and we always don't get the flu shot We're going to have some struggle there Will we all end up getting it I don't think so but certainly a large percentage of us will have eventually gotten this But to me that's not the important question The question is right now what can we all do We're.

What do you do to recharge and renew yourself in order to get ready in energized for the fight for tomorrow so i tried to wind down with a sangria tonight. I also before i go to bed. I tried to to read quite a bit. Because i think reading in focusing on a book particularly a good book. Just settles me you know. Settles my mind. So i think between a sangria and hanging with my family. Of course you know in reading. I think that's what sort of settles me each night as there ever been a moment for you where you just. You've you've thought you know what i've had enough of this mcginn managing the book club. That was the moment for me. That i was i. You know it on the individual level. I'll do this like. I'll talk to folks that they wanna talk. But i don't know if i can. I don't know if. I'm just not equipped for this. I'll do like normal average everyday. Black folks who wanna get involved in the work of anti-racism. How do we saw for those feelings of exhaustion. We may need to take breaks. And that's okay. People should listen to their to their bodies into their feelings and you know knowing that three months for men or year from then or in a different type of way that that that baton you know is going to be picked up it can be burdensome when we feel it is it is on us. I would say two black people that. I don't expect anyone else to free us that we freed ourselves during the civil war. And we're gonna have to free ourselves from racism to but on the other hand. I do not think it is all on us you know. I think it's important for asian americans who are facing anti asian racism to ally with with with black folks facing anti-black racism. It's it's important for white americans who were facing the collateral damage from racism to realize you know what this this country is democracy itself even for people like me is being threatened so we need to sort of ally and income together to fight for our democracy. I expect and hope that other groups will do this and other groups are doing us. I know there's a lot of listeners that are listening right now. That probably want to be involved in the work. You know We could put them in the direction of the podcast. Anti-racist we could point them in the direction of the books of course How to be an anti-racist And there's a bunch of other especially. I like to call them race. One on one book that listeners can read and we can we can link to those. But what what do you think like. What's that everyday action that a listener can take in order to get involved with either work of anti racism work or even trying to recharge themselves to be ready for more anti-racism work. I think we should all think about our own backyard. Our own organizations and identify the people or even the organizations that are fighting for racial justice or fighting for racial.

"That started happening more and more. That is that students. Were getting things into the long term memory in taking things into their next course and eventually into their careers from amp much more so than they used to do before now kind of built in there is this idea of spacing. The you know if you ask me that question. And i get it wrong. Okay in s me. Mcginn three seconds later and i get it wrong in the national league in three seconds later and then another three seconds and got it right okay. That's not going to really stick in my long term memory that long. I mean it's not really. I wouldn't even call that long term memory right but if i give him a little time in tomorrow you asked me that question or in a couple of days you asked me that question. Then yeah okay. That's got some spacing in there in a lot of research shows the poor little space in between sessions. So retrieval practice. So you don't have like one long. Massive retrieval practice. And then you're done but now you space it out then. It's going to be more likely that that's going to get into your long term memory. It's more likely that you're going to be able to retrieve that information when you need it. Okay so that's why. I allow students to retake their tests over and over. Because i want them to do that. Retrieval practice and they can't do it if i only give them one test one time and that's it we're done. That's not retrieval practice. Not yeah. I know that. We can hope that. They're doing retrieval practice on their own. But after a lotta years. I realized there are handful of students. That do that in you know. Half of them would have done it anyway. The other half do it. Because i told him that that's the way to do it. But that's still only a handful. I want all my students to be successful. I want all of my students. Well i'm gonna have to force them if they can have to push him into it. I mean it's from when i was a kid night. I played soccer in. I don't want to go do practice all the time i just workplace soccer games. I just want to play soccer. I don't wanna have to practice dribbling practice heading the ball boy especially didn't wanna practice that. Oh man i could feel a right. Now you know and all the other things and practice passing okay pair up and we're going to just pass back and forth on k. Are there some fun to that. But it's not the same as actually being in a game. I wanted to be in the game. I don't want to practice in. Our students are like that too. You can tell them practices necessary and the ones that ended up being good soccer. They practice on their own anyway. But if you're the soccer player guy was as a kid you have to be kinda forced in into practice unique got. The coach really has to say okay..
Malaysian Prime Minister Resigns Amid Anger Over Virus
"We turn to malaysia or the prime minister mcginn. Yes and and his cabinet have resigned. The opposition leaders were calling for the prime minister's to step down. After he delayed the opening of parliament for over two months. Legally we have the right to be brent. From entering ballymun miss yes in submitted his resignation to the king earlier today and the palace said in a statement that he will stay on in a caretaker role until a replacement is found but now that the country's leader has stepped down. This appears to have thrown the country into a fresh political crisis as malaysia deals with its worst cova. Nineteen outbreak and a decimated economy. Well for more. I'm joined on the line from kuala lumpur by political analyst. Bridget welsh bridge. Just give us a sense of the timing for this and why the prime minister is saying he's stepping down now well. The prime minister has You know acknowledged. He doesn't have a majority of the parliament support. His speech on his resignation to the public doesn't fully sort of a Address some of the reasons why I think the public pressure has been on him to resign. Which as you pointed out are in the economy in the in the record number of cases The initially slow vaccination rate which says since picked up where over a third of the population is now fully vaccinated but the fact is is that i think that there is a covert has had a very big impact and of course this is created a context for elites to be able to pull their support from him and i think that me and yes instill sort of suggested in his speech that that he was still had lots of support which i think is probably not the case from the perspective of what how he perceives it in the case of the parliament He clearly doesn't have the numbers. The question now is who will have the numbers to form of government

I've had my show at the beginning especially with older players. Some of the older coaches. They've been through this journey and of course they might help me. I'd be super grateful if they did. But i would imagine in focus on those guys. Those guys have been mcginn for years there. I conduct legendary the hall of fame. Of course that's as awesome as that might be. It's the guys that are twenty five that you might not listen to because their titles not cool enough. Those guys are going to help me out the most and me wanting to be. Because it's not about tommy right now. If you wanted to hire me he could have hired me yesterday. Few if he's the gym of the team he can make whatever he wants now. A conversation on why you should vote
"Welcome back to another episode of that money though friends we have just a few weeks left before the general election it's happening November third. The day is finally here and we WANNA. Talk about the election this episode because many states are going to be having their deadlines for which which you can register usually happening in October depending on your states look that up and we thought it'd be important to visit with all of you why it's so important to vote. We actually asked them of our listeners what are the three reasons that you're voting and? They said in. His off. Yes. So from the Angelo from the Geek Life, we all knew America had major issues but these four issues have shown us how bad things could really be. He's four years. Yeah. A number to worry about a month away from being still being society e and number three I'm O'Brien in. America. And I grew up in fear and don't want my kids to do. So those reasons we love him. Thank you. and. Then we had the folks from lat. Next point of view podcast. They said that healthcare is the number one issue because less people in the US have access to healthcare, which is a big deal when you're experiencing global pandemic number two, the economy, and then number three `immigration is that these are the three reasons for black next point of view. All right. So we got Joe, Sparkman, who said number one to dump trump Helje number to fight racism and number three fight sexism Mcginn. grazes. And then we had one more and lease said healthcare and immigration for sure. So I mean, there's so many reasons to vote for this election. We have a huge opportunity coming up to course correct the past four years but rather than focusing on us whoever is trump and who by the way we've decided on a shelley and mutually decided actually decided but I agree we're gonNA retire putting trump in the trash can there's just too many trump's there. So we don't have to do that here. There's Lore we're not doing it. WOULDA yeah. He's already there. So if you're. Even, you're no longer allowed to put trump in there because he's there's too many of them in there any who so we're going to focus not on that but instead like what are we voting for? It's not just against trump, but there's plenty of things to vote for. So entertain that why are you gonNa vote this November So. Many reasons and I mean ultimately what I want most is for everyone to live there moth antic fulfilling and healthy lives and I think in order for us to be able to do that, we need to have living wages we need to be able to live where we want without fear. We need to have equal access to education and opportunities, and we need to have access to safe in green communities and environments. Amen, I mean all that can go deeper into a few things and I know Brenda you'll share some with us, but I think I vote because environmental justice and Climate Change I. Think are one of the most urgent issues of our generation and trump has shown us that they do not care about the trump administration says that it did not care about that they recently rolled. Back Environmental Procedural protections under the Environmental Policy Act. So basically, you can build your highways, your pipelines and power plants without consideration of a lot of the harmful effects that they can cause on our communities and environmentally, and also our communities, and you know it's not a surprise that most of the communities that are affected by these types of this construction are Brown and black communities. That's so true. So and then along with that I'm also voting because I care about black lives and I care about criminal justice reform, and again, the trump administration has shown this time and time again that they're willing to put the economy before human lives are willing to protect professor percents. Supremacy and that's Discussed the Americans and we've seen that in how we handled pandemic that he literally cared more about you know the economy than human lives especially. Brown. Black lives we've seen how eases uses platform twitter and other social media insight, right wing violence, and that's been really scary for for me to release it lane actual literal. You know the young man is a shit that shot people and what we've known for a long time is that we really need to re imagine how our criminal justice system works and we know that the trump administration has does not is not putting that as a priority and I know that a lot of people will say. For Sure Joe Biden did help author the crime bill and Nineteen ninety-four. But I believe I believe in the power of change and I believe from what I've seen with from Biden including Kamala that they're willing to course correct and they definitely care more about reimagining and change criminal justice system than than trump does that's one hundred percent true. Those are excellent reasons. One hundred percent concur with that. How about you? Brenda, what are the? What are a few reasons I know there are so many reasons but what if you want to call out for listeners? So many definitely underscore everything that you said, but I think it's good for everyone to remember that the president can do so much including appointing, supreme, court justices, and other federal federal federal judges. So a good reason to vote is the courts you maybe don't like Biden. Harris don't even think about them just think about what's at stake. So the president of the United States gets to appoint judges, and if we remember there's been lots of Supreme Court battles from Dhaka from ACA to reproductive and lgbtq rights in this court the Supreme Court is all over the place that he they're mostly conservative. got to a point to super right wing horrible people including Justice Cavanaugh a rapist, and also eight RPG is eighty seven years old and she's battled cancer multiple times. So it's very likely that whoever wins in November they're to be able to appoint another Supreme Court justice and what's at stake we Really can't afford that.
Hard-Selling vs Soft-Selling and the Invisible Hooks You Probably Missed
"What's up everybody this Russell Brunson? Welcome back to the marketing secrets. Podcast today at one talk. About the marketing that's invisible inside of the fulfillment of the thing that you are actually selling so the big question. Is this power entrepreneurs like us. He didn't cheat and take on VENTURE CAPITAL FOR SPENDING MONEY. Own pockets marketing away. Let us get our products and our services and the things that he believed in out to the world and yet still remain profitable. That is the question in this. Podcast will give you the answer. Name's offer Brunson and welcome the marketing. All right so a couple of things ahead. Somebody An instagram right me in the questioning. Hard selling and soft selling out the wheels my head spinning and then today actually this whole week. Everybody is starting to get the the books in the of the traffic secrets are showing up. The box shown up odd so exciting seeing everybody getting their boxes and packages and a couple of people circle made videos them open boxes and it was like. Did you guys all capture? The marketing lessen the Russel's gave us here inside of this box. And it's fun because I don't think most people got it but a few people did some secrets just in case because a lot of times we focus so much on the hard selling I'm GonNa go. I'M GONNA create my offer my funnel. GonNa. I'm like Hook from a hook them. Tell the story make an offer. That's hard selling right. Soft selling rate all the subtleties. You're doing around everything for example in my podcast and my facebook lives in my interviews. My everything I'm always talking about stuff right. I always talk about click funnels and when when I had made a circle when it was still open if you ever noticed the first probably three hundred episode of this podcast as always talking about major circle members. Don't manage circle member to this circle member to this. I was talking about these people in this tier need this group and as I did that more people right I want to be in their circus are looking for it right. And that's what just it's just like casually talking about things talking about phones talking about order talking about all these things that lead back to whatever it is that you actually sell and so I think a lot of people think oh I mean there's some my product you're selling my product or I'm or I'm I'm teaching right and say no they all go together. Do you understand that? Like they're all they'll kind of tied together in so soft songs all the things. You're doing all the time lake. Just for example right. Now what have already done already talked about? Click funnels with talked about the traffic secrets book and talked about the box and talking about circles with four things. Just in the first two minutes of this podcast just and it's like planting seeds and talking about and talking about more and and as you do more and more of it it just gets people to to wonder more into look more and be more excited when the opportunity to purchase arises. So that's kind of a hard sell soft so now to go deeper on that. This is This is what's what's Fun Right. So everybody bought the book and You went to the book funnel right if you have a book yet come on Alec. Why are you even listening to me this point? Don't trust me enough to go by the book. But I digress. Traffic DOT COM. You'll get the book the book you go through down so flowing through the whole thing off there. I you much webinar. Hopefully go to Webinar. And you know the whole whole funnel happens. That's hard now. Soft cell are the things happening now right so in the mail every got box outside the boxes waiting for you open the box scan the Qr Code. And I know about people know how to use our Koji. I still am just learning how to use them if they go to your photo APP and you hold Kyoko to pop open website. Where the video from me in the video ad space basically tell people? I think you so much for buying this book I read from. Sison like you're gonNA love it. I can't wait to dive into it and ask them for favors. Look just know an authorized me biggest thing that we want is we want to be able to make how people actually get the thing. We create right. We spend eighteen months of our life. Lock down like writing this. This this thing for you like I want you to feedback. It's like the thing that being the most me right now is before you open his box of extra record yourself. The boxes you open it go and then shared on facebook and instagram social media and tag me on it and and I wanna see those things right now again. This is like this is the art of selling now right so maximum for favorite US book. I I kill myself to give it to you. Have if you could just make a video you in boxing and posted now. Obviously not everyone does not even like not even the majority of people do but a good percentage people do and posting them everywhere the posting when the close group posted on their own page posting them on instagram their their stories that like I am getting tagged in in boxing video everywhere and obviously we sold like I think sixty or seventy thousand copies of book so far and my getting sixty or seventy thousand getting literally hundreds multiple hundreds of people posting these videos. And when they're doing it gets what's happening their friends their family members or other people like what's up. What's it about and it's starting to make sales Second wave cells are coming. I didn't do anything for other than I. Just ask people to be willing to box that. They're they're thinking posting and boxing you tag. She's been really really cool All the course ones. I don't see all some land. My other folder junk-food but the cool ones. I see I share Mcginn. It's helping those people as well so there's a lot of benefits than side of the book like if you the box you open up a quickstart guide in quick start. Guide walks you through how to use the book. You can buy a computer. You Get Quick Start Guide you buy. Software Quick Star Guy like before book. We don't we included quickstart guides to get quick star guidance. I Okay. I need you to read this book. Second thing you need to do is if you ever read. This is part one of three. They go get the other two books and make sure you read the whole. Trojan get along with the workbook for free. Then here's how to get the whole box set. So I'm telling about the best way to consume the book and how it fits with the other books and for them to go get it right so. It's not hard to say here that you're reading this. This is the best way to consume it. I'm just like if I was selling crackers. I'd like the best way crackers with some some crackers. Cashew milkers of I don't even know. Is that even a thing like I was? Let's say let's say I had a food company right and Shampoo Company right. The Best Chiampou Booms doubled yourselves right.
