How Climate Change Is Setting The Stage For Natural Disasters

"In addition to being the year of covert twenty twenty was also a year of extreme wildfires and hurricanes in part because global temperatures were among the hottest ever recorded. here's npr's lawrence summer. If you caught the weather report in phoenix arizona visit you heard one number over and over alright jamie. We are hoping for weather. But i know just hovering around these hundreds. It was over one hundred degrees a lot on a record breaking one hundred and forty five days all well. Basically almost everything set records. Marvin percha is a meteorologist. At the national weather service in phoenix. I've lived here a long time. I grew up here in the seventies. And i've never seen anything quite like this. Phoenix also doubled. The number of days at spent above one hundred and fifteen degrees and those extremes are dangerous. Almost three hundred people died because of heat related causes in maricopa county another record number certainly with the overall warm earth. It makes it more likely to get these extreme temperatures and those temperatures set the stage for other disasters. Twenty twenty hurricane season has been uniquely awful. There have been thirty named storm so far a new wreck. Warm waters in the atlantic fueled the most active hurricane season on record and many storms intensified quickly building strength faster-than-expected. The records kept falling in the western u. s. two or wildfires burned more than nine million acres. Tens of thousands of people fled their homes. Some with only minutes to spare three states california oregon and colorado had the largest fires in there recorded history. Dan mcevoy a climatologist with the desert research. Institute says heat was one of the reasons when you have elevated temperatures and extra dry atmosphere. That really makes the fuels more flammable. An easier to burn a hot dry atmosphere is thirsty. He says it's like a sponge pulling moisture out of plants and soils that creates the conditions for fires to move fast and burn hot on the landscape in the west is normal. We need that fire but the thing that's changing is how quickly they become. These large megafires mcevoy's done studies showing how he will dramatically increase. This fire danger in the west but even he's surprised to see it. Play out so quickly this year is i mean. How many times can we say the word. Unprecedented christina doll is a climate scientist at the union of concerned. scientists events. Like that make it really hit home for climate scientists that this is not just something theoretical that. We're predicting it's something that we are living through. Twenty twenty is basically tied with two thousand sixteen for the hottest year ever recorded at almost two degrees above average but whether it takes the top spot is beside the point though says the last five years or the five hottest on record since eighteen eighty. And it's only expected to get worse for me personally. I think that there's not going to be one. wake up. call that spurs the public in the us. And our policymakers into action. It's more the accumulation of all of these events and all of the heartache as incurred because of them that heartache she says should be a reminder that the more fossil fuels are burned. The more years like this. We should expect to see lorne summer npr news.

Toxic Dogmatism in Digital Design

"So. This is an article that i'm so happy that lisa wrote and put out there so liangelo. She's a design evangelist for better process and education. She's a hardcore tricky and she's a science and public health nerd and she's also extremely well articulated in critiquing our design world and and her article undoing. The toxic dogmatism of into digital design. I think it resonated so much with the both of us because it really calls out many of the different things that we've talked about over the years but she privately and on the podcast. It's a lot of things that we've been fighting within. A you know a careers in our what. We're observing in the design industry. And and i guess parallel of what some of the things we've tried to fight with correct or help correct over the years as well. I agree and so the subtitled. She sort of describes The article as an effort to dismantle and rebuild a system that disempowers and excludes by the sign and. i mean. She's not doing this in the article. She's calling it out. She's she's calling for the conversations to happen to help us all deal with these issues and so what they're saying is that Design practice is flawed design. Education is flawed. There's this paradox. I'm glad you mentioned that that. There's the all these fantastic good people would so much good intent but yeah exactly but the output of course sometimes just isn't quite up to par with what we say that we are putting out into the world and so self-awareness perhaps is not. Our strong suit is one hundred. Many points as well yeah. I think we're gonna end up quoting a lot of bits from the article. I don't think i've will not be making notes for link shows previously. I don't think i've ever quoted this many bits from the article. I'll be making my notes is a lot of things. Is there one thing she says. In the introduction about our profession as designers name any other profession that could continually get away with the incredible inconsistencies in quality that we collectively generate high open down. I quoted the same one in my notes so i completely agree. I made a huge mind map here. And i think she also she quotes will mcevoy from newsroom. The first step in solving a problem is recognizing the risk one. And i think i mean over the past few years a lot of us are in agreement that there is a problem or many problems ended the sign industry and and she summarize them so well in these nothing about the awareness with yes. There's a there's a growing awareness but maybe we can't a finger on it or maybe don't always want to admit say the whole thing about meeting what we know. There's a problem but maybe don't want to admit what the problem is. And of course also there are powerful people out there who want to defend them defend the status quo which is something that leaks also addresses in her post. Yep and the bulk of leases post is actually A series of well top of mind areas where she thinks that things are just obviously not working as they should be in the world of digital design.

"Hello and welcome to three wide Kava. I'm your host Mick Wall. A Pat Mullane here at the screen would tightening the situation going on in Australia very seriously. Megan show we give ourselves a NAS? A man of distance but was still gonNA cover a lot off here on Friday. We had to bring you all of your writing analysis. The satellite joined Bananas Salmon Marshall Absolute Pleasure to have you invoice. How we going is big really good Saif Sand and happy to be working side gang to be bringing you the best of Roseville this weekend and right around the country of course but I'll tell you something right now. Hug taught him how many has never looked better from the. Toronto's you look terrific today hugging Ka. That's the best I can but nausea to courtney love a band hall. At the moment we are in one. But we're going to get out of these we're GONNA roy stick fatty hiking winners. Send us only away from Josie. Now we know where we started. Tweet we stop at Joseph's track report the prohibit loss. Wait let's let's recap these second he said. You gotta be gotta be pies on spayed. Di Di all were. And they'll be coming off the route of the middle of the track. Josie absolutely not last week Josie placed hammers. She got something for this. Well hopefully we can get something Roy this week as well look ask seeks maters. We'd go at a little bit. Further soft seeks at the moment so expecting fifteen meals on Thursday fraud. I expecting I Ryan but Saturday expecting zero to six meals a gain so I think we're going to be in that soft seek seven Ryan Account. Expect these track to draw it really interesting to get further off the rile. Not so much the case he really own speed again but even horses. Just on the riles or a big advantage. When it goes eight six made is in the soft six Ryan. So don't be surprised. If the riles are the place to be. Look back to rile fullback rows. You could probably still win so darn expecting to get too far off. The fence are now. That's the pattern that was last week. And you sort of Virginia again. This week I think would be the case this week. Woy think they might go for horses. They're hard up against the rows one-two-three lines this Saturday. The Guy. We've heard that I very good Josie. Let's jump into the rights now. I rice. We're going to have a look at of course is the Tankard. I've a twenty four hundred metres very elegant. You're five and deservedly so to five followed in the market village. That five dollars Mugabe does muster g non does Mirage dancer in southern France both thirteen dollars tariff at twenty three dance area twenty-six truth at thirty one dollars Josie. We'll go to you and the map here. Really Secular Fahey woolley done. There's a lot of speed on Piper. Roy think very elegant will roll forward. We saw her roll forward last seven days ago when she was just beaming boy a dive. I think they'll roll forward John McCain take deposition Angel Truth Going forward I think four nail you'd expect to be at its fetus. Mugabe possibly could go forward. I think now it's had its second. Go at twenty four hundred meters. It could possibly roll forward. And there's a few days that just don't have the yearly gates paid to be able to do that with very elegant fourth. This time last year she was fourth option. One the CEO. She went really well. I think they said something really. Well spoke about that Rice where she finds finished second to die. He's a superstar. We spoke with these inform. One hundred and twenty-five die have absolutely gone extremely slow in that Rice lost weight but twenty two or three to eleven to seek time clearly the best laws four hundred lost two hundred of the die by far just close to half a second best boycot or. I think she'll win. I think she'll roll forward. John macrobiotic control the rice and she'll be two affiliates. Yea won this race last year. Two dollars sixty seven to a dollar sixty but that was off the back of winning the brain but somewhat unlucky in Australia Cup with issues. He's not going as well for me. Plus doesn't have the tactical advantage that very elegant will have always very elegant in the tankard. She proved a class. Last docked ships loomed up. It was a terrific Roy. Thomas macron Donna. Because he was able to take it up. A heated flat spot very elegant nosing front about he was able to fought back and Buddha. A love the way she held and she backed up once before that was from the white fool. Obviously into the Oxygen Victoria. Sh we know she's a two thousand four hundred made a win in the. She's charrier off by very elegant and I think rolling forward outside of Angel of truth or couldn't imagine she'd give up that advantage and get into a NAS rhythm and then settle for the twenty four hundred Mehta Gallup with that Mirage dancer and Moussagy. I think Mr. Jeez the best at solder in this field. He beat southern France over in Europe when they last met day. And I up. Winning these runs behind master on was terrific last dot. Ob It on a heavy non draw surface. He could improve out of the Ground Ivy. These trip most ability. He's not going as well Mugabe wait got group three. He comes up another level he so it's very elegant rice to win. Technically he bought oil Weiss. I look for a broad from one of these jockeys to get rolling at the item. I can take away that breeds and that turn of foot from very elegant and it might be the Rod on Moussagy. Just quickly you did mention. It was a really good. Pick up to mention that she did back up in the visa off the white full she actually filed she seven so there is. There's a slight knock. It could be that. Maybe she doesn't back up. She needs some link. Between Iran's bought. The profile was perfect but are just want to punish that you mentioned it so. It's really good to cy that she has backed up before she rented finished seventh in the works and she was four dollars. It was a foul issue variety wrong. That's the case. I think that animated well You guys know nothing more than when you hit the sign. That horse especially in a group want now. Let's have a look at the voluntary. Well I'll tell you what we're GONNA shorter Ye. Gentlemen Don Wait Funds. Ta Adults Seventy Five. So I'm interested. He chance they probably don't four. Forty MARKET GETS FROM THE PAINTINGS. Twelve bucks for say no and Missile Mantra. Both Iden- Does as got twenty shot about twenty. Six game of thrones. Twenty seven nudge. Forty six dollars and then just over the page aspect ratio. Best of the rest at sixty one dollars Josie funster very short but is justified. I think so. I think she's an absolute potential superstar. If she's not already there just with the Matt I think she had the barrel forward but again not a lot of speed on pipe. Pontes aspect ratio. I think we'll go forward and here. I think where the rights can be won or lost. I think that he's talked to clearly. Have between them they both exceptional phillies hard to knock either of them. But I think our probably roll forward as well and I just don't know where the problem beale has that tactical speed to be able to do that. Third up he fund star in the spring on the floor knocking off probably'll it was a dollar seventy four or five hundred one three and a half links. I just think these rice. It's up so much like that Rice They went extremely slow. Start yes fun. Style was in the advantage position and just had the technically vintage probably it was pretty good ren very close to debate and link not even that but they've come home twenty five twelve thirty four. That was the best of the die by a significant margin. They would've won the Kumo. They used to run the Cornell if they decided to run. They've got panels on the wrist. They got panels on the is the too serious racehorses going forward with both of them but I think fund star will have the tactical advantage and she's an absolute beauty. She will be but the last question overdrawn barrier right. She's she'll be in two minds early doors where the row. Ford and talking. Just come back and rod for a little bit of luck. I think that plays into the hands of probably joining soda. A breach of the China of probably Siamese. She's not based on a wet track in which funds stop later on last stat and she was able to technically outlawed on that occasion. But I love the white probably going fishy. V that she's had she's GonNa run a good tooth estimators. She can jump and lane close out and be wrought on fun styles hammer wherever she wants to sit in this field. These are clearly the 2-based horses in this race by five and ninety bad luck will bring one of these two undone because missile mantra as IAGO. Who won the Kimball Grind classic an Old Sisa painted and shout the Bio? Come through that time rice. This is another level up to Probably'll and found status. I based on that inside a barrier Kerrin mcevoy. If you're watching go and watch you'll lasting group one winners might and try and get to means Barack Obama. You just seen a bit of a hall. At the moment the basting could do back much all of my best rods to get out of that. And it'd be nice and shop for a big dialogue roading PROBAB- bill and can you get rotten. Big Fan Star. He technically

"Affront own brew you're looking at the very looking at the mirror you get to look at the crowd I ended up on you on your was well clear on your I remember Rodney me out strongly the lawn actually it's it's always the why isn't it just about back on right when you pulled out what was when you came back in the crowd Dan that Rice over in the manning apple think it was pretty straight away uh-huh especially in let's see with Roy Being Philo is can you out on the Piney now think a couple of swear words to let's see but you know the young kid always to be and still when it was a good memory thanks for sharing it might Watch on the five years you spent running Godolphin overseas you get a great opportunity Melba cut winning jockey things are going really well for your your audience you buy Ford Tame Daly Godolphin slash could open and then you get an opportunity two thousand and four was it you get an opportunity to go I've and Rod in Europe Hale big an opportunity was that yeah it was amazing Amazing Opportunity Oh always given a pretty young age how to be the luck here and there was a diet the Sponsored by the rising club right four winners and that one me a trip to g boy as a ten year I ended up writing for good opening in two thousand and two ah the coffee cups so that put me under there under the noises started speak and right right well for them here who's Kobe Kepa food media puzzle so did stints for the mingy boy and that was off the back of winning that trip over there I said to the side Bin Suroor as we can come over and and have a go and they said you know worries and so you had to get the opportunity to go to England with him was one that I took with by Hanes it was you know he's under studied Tori and those rural blue colors as a kid it was magical to see Tory on Delami and Tara Jawad Millennium and so much what do you when you walk in the door he saw known Kerrin mcevoy Australia on now contracted to rod for Dali Oh God the Mazda cod do you get the Shefa he got he got gave some suits do you get the pipeline to go travel around Europe Dorado Hills is not after you will but the Shaikh was was it was a real horsemen and and that was always say first hand it was great to to see him there and the stables and facilities for their losses is second-to-none and but it was it was fantastic you know there's a lot of water and around there was put the helicopters and planes and two meetings in a Di top stuffing in England was very busy they say his name is jam packed full rising and you know F- Dettori was instrumental in getting me to to to perform and and help me adjusted attracts in the horses and because home from why over there I went up was was destination do boy was it relatively early in yeah I think it was hit the all in yeah it was sick and a third meeting there that was up at a northern trek old Heidelberg so lord of the meetings going to with the US by the Second T. One it'd be the main ones I'll be the guy in the early couple of seasons and yeah that was a little maiden he was over two thousand meters and the first wind so that was good and and then we're off on the board and often rolling right yeah some some amazing horses at your right Everyday Shaima doll debate we You first group was in Germany I believe six group ones warrior right Dave Yeah Right Rice's and glosses as I mentioned yeah and even Agency in English Dhabi which is one of the whole lot rendering second to Kieren Fallon one on an rn second rule of law he was winning on one the the alleger later that year so Royden some great rice isn't as you said Road Shadow and tobacco you and your top stallions I'll still class those two is as as the best tools of of royds technically why is Europe UK different writing and styles of rising USTRALIA the horses are trying differently so it's more stamina based or feel and and the treks undulating and so the horses are trying to appeal so they they they don't zip as quick as horses here in Australia for don't get me wrong I you know look we say nowadays is still quite shop but so so the horses as jockey that they feel a bit different on an issue I've I've got different mannerisms and you have to adapt to that and the tracks. Obviously as you said as I said quite Stephan so so I suppose the the horses themselves because Roy differently you have to adapt and and you know you you might find yourself you know push them along a little bit early than what we do here in his trial you're so physically in and physically not as well off your writing it is it's just about getting getting getting the feel of what's underneath you that's all of this what was your best I in your raw was it we didn't agree one pocketful of money jump on on a helicopter back guy what was the gun die when you went back and thought Sevens to hers There was one I actually didn't actually winner rice but on if you it was the July Cup Day Royden the dodge and Frankie and myself thin got on a chopper Massey Beach Uproars and we flew to France and wrote in in the grown prey to Perry any at longchamp so it's good it's a great rodney great wine in England and then signed evening flew flew over the over the over the channel and and Kotani Longchamp and writing writing a writing group and that evening does the boss reward you get slings state it was these to be bonuses every November getting bit I think they suck the will of the boys but it was drawing up a little bit when I was there but it was still it was still with it that's for sure things have come to and end your stint finishes you're gonNA come back to dry up and settle in difficult might WanNa bring up a difficult time in Iran career trying to adapt back to dry and tactics in conditions I shoud should come down on your pretty hard for not picking it up as quick as maybe what you should yeah what was some of the difficulties you had y'all think tonight yeah two nights a comeback had had a big job e with with Dalian paid a snowy in and it was it was tough that first period that's for sure because coming back and rising the the the quick witted well the quickstart arising you know that we have he jumped out and get your spot Yep you know within the first hundred meters and and a found offended be tricky to to get back into the the quick stall of the rising here given given a steady and relaxes for the first part of the rice is over there in the temple it's full stop stop yeah exactly get the puck it up so always former self over trying and I was thinking I've got to get out and get a spot and this year or something you know so that's a that's a lot for jockey and it was just too trying to adapt trying to heart and and and it took a good probably one month period before I started getting my line and really and just backing to to what was required you know it was a big job and you know I was feeling the pressures of the big job here as well you know wh- what the some of the triggers that you had to sit back reset inside yourself going to perfect the basics here or something it was a case of head down by Maupin in slide and just said just rod through just just threw it back yourself and there's plenty of trawls plenty of trackwork and was just a case of getting the feedback you know once you get the feel back I try and try and and then you can you can barometers back what's required you can get you feel it's like anything if I have two weeks off so I'm then you know you lose your Burma you lose you feel once you get it back then you ought playing golf forget nor any sport lock that a couple of weeks it can be like a month that's bank and you get the feel especially re podcast got longer questions but now a baddies these amazing season that you had when you run the real Everest on a horse called Red Sale the magic means another Melbourne Cup and you come back and win another Everest it's phenomenal the prize money of an Everest to win a Melbourne Cup of magic means and then another everest yeah that's gotta be loft shining definitely yeah you know it's it's it's it's probably easy for me to say the pros manages a Cherry on top you know and it it it rind Iran maybe I and and we knew Ridgeville love the grand and yeah we we ended up getting in was remarkable and once again at Ryan again more more Ryan that loved that day the more comfortable golden back to back was it was unbelievable to great I ever stay and that was rule dream come true because the the whole the whole I'm was to try and win the moment Shaikh Muhammad you know once I started pulling the blue colors i Melvin Cap Yeah you gotta be legend well it's like Hamas go to have you up office doesn't he still has a spiked recently but I thought for sure I was going to get a cool on the fine Green but he must have lost number every day we had a chat with him personally always bring you up and Johnny Ivy rang me on the phone once actually so but he's was that for Rosen and for for for open and you know it's it's fantastic day absolutely outstanding and then obviously red zealot gyn comes back and wins she was routing so that was in ninety eight so we started going out in I think it was two thousand and not non sorry we started going in and and.

normal trek quick stuff I don't recall ever having the soup zone for a trial either but I rob is at Balaclava and pita highs at the time was was trying to Lindsay Park and I think he had about seventy with with many roads to come but it was a great Feast Day balaclava lovely be tracking and then after that back to streaky by in my first right after my ticket was heise's Yup and they went back and did six right once in the Bush Paul Lincoln and Gusta and great myself in Teddy Monahan won the we we drew the leading jockey for the Port Augusta or Leading Jockey Carl it must have been Well was that ninety six ninety seven season is a good experience by some rough ready oh well maybe I lean get your I m getting paid on the solid and the soy gained a joke kind of a must have been in Adelaide somewhere few hundred we'll see a couple of hundred Colonie who started in the back so you can you take ran the Bush then you come into the city at the Stri but Victoria was always beckoning you to get a to get a gig incoming raw quick as you could win it happen yeah will always back with the Heizo actually did a Bill Cameron savion over there it was where where I might stevie and he was a great influence on me from then on but ended up venturing up to back Lindsay Park when Paul and John Kerry Jose climbs for wearing back to Lindsey. Tony was this attorney said look you Muslim Sean Hill one so we headed over there minority and got there and to be truthful it was it was a bit of a real steep learning curve I wasn't ready I was still green and a break maurice descent you know it's a different back then it was it was totally different you know riding Adelaide and I don't need on short period of that here in town Movilla Cheltenham annoys attracts Victoria Park to go to cool I was actually behind the gates the other day and I I was thinking I remember my first of all right aww living under may just slow down the sawed their coffee can get pretty hectic and always always a grain little drain young kid at at a more animal Davison so it was the real steep learning curve and I was lucky to to stick it out through those tough lighter one and a half to two zero period more apprenticeship climbs time was was when I started to do well or who scared the Virginia's Eddie in the jockeys very Milwaukee Jesus Black Gray goal was always leading and ready it's but he was he was he was welcoming at the same time there was obviously a great orders getting around you know Greg Jaws was there Stephen King Br privileged obviously the Oh tactically good oh great horseman and you know back watching and learning of course to the best or could you know when did the penny dropped for it to be given an opportunity to Rodney got which we'll touch on it I mean Abbott Win on Brew You've won three of them but when did the penny dropped for you to Sira off belongs Saturday class said I rising starting to get full books and Rodney in Steichen group enlisted Rice's did you remember the Diet dropped in your lock brought nail below the the winter of ninety nine winter it doesn't sorry the winter ninety nine and then all the way through to the winner of two thousand and really started to make inroads and get some good support and Mike USA Climb and I remember writing a few a few trebles in town and it was winter months and the the big boys were away but as a young kid boring to get better you really grab a hold of that momentum and and use it to drive you forward and so it was it was a rough first year in Melbourne but then the second and third years is when it really started to to propel Gordon was lucky to start teaming up with some good China's even sort of the highest camp and Mark Martin even and Russell Cameron to those and John but money was instrumental in getting me young Ford that adequate right

Weekend Racing Preview: Flemington

"Is a great. I love Flemington. Tom Years paying a warm weather build up to us this Saturday and just love white for is rising and it's basically GonNa say some good offices. Dan The strike which we love a Flemington in but Sydney holds the K. doesn't with the epsom the metro flights dykes. She's pretty skinny but the dive into it first things first the track record four Melbourne and Sydney yet Flemington knowing mate is good for you as estee said beautiful conditions may even need to put some irrigation on he goes Thursday thought it was so so it can be a little tricky. Lamai cave superstar who work. I think it'll play fair. I think Tampa Bay the K. but don't be worried. If your horse his three four ward they have a bit of an advantage especially around the circle. They might blending in the office in the middle of the track case. I don't don't be too stressed if your horse his dream because I think why might be okay the strike races with with this Rice's well. It's the best to be close to wide with. The grain stand inside in middle this week. I think will be the plays. They're a little bit of a disadvantage. We go to rain week at three made his good for again. pervy conditions look. I think on spe deploys debate but I think again. It'll be tamed by related. They might come to the middle of the track at some stage but Arkan buys places fairly fan but if you want at Flemington to worry about the Guy Very Josie now. Won't you guys coming in first before we hit up to see me. We're going to have a look at one. We said we're going to cover auto group one rice and this isn't a group is I hot rice. The GILGO stike center at online at tune on he joined by sunlight so a couple of everest horses they Satori Dettori at six fifty. Now we go from the tar dollars on exhauted iding votto silver nineteen does better Martini twenty-three dot rocky twenty seeks on someone thirty five and I will have the pipeline tile at thirty four Vine Street hundred to one Josie the map and guess what we wanted to always is this one or two awards rights or is something that can produce for van sort of that well racing especially in the last couple of weeks. We'll say that there hasn't been one horses awesome to horse races. We've had a couple of hundred to one to win big rice in getting in Black Look David superstar center aligning sunlight. They hard to knock. They're very very good horses. These rights as we always expect these Rice's up the right. They may not do a lot of work in that fourth. I four hundred five hundred six hundred Justice Zippo in the last six hundred minutes. All I am going with volatile silver so I'm going against the top two for sort of no real apparent reason other other than the fact that I'll just mocked him a little bit bigger than what the markets go to both of them not much but just a little bit bigger. Santa Light Up twelve hundred this run and gene sunlight look hard to knock just thought maybe in that guy known who'd be a bit of a tricky spot for us of Goma bottle Suba strong the guy to. I think that more people debate. Benny Mellon goes on so positive engagement day this is also one is from fifteen point in Perth. We know the horses are very good would Beta horse started called Galaxy Star. She is a stock Oregon. It's going to run a really good rice for nine dollars. You can have a play H. Y. Erica reconvene so I might be the spot to Bay Benny Melon and the piece came if you don't know them they're flowing ten from fifty to twenty percent over there. They come here. They were really really good team. They're pretty good. Deployment of the Horses Oregon. It's got the figures to run up Alto. Jacuzzis coat the Perth bog after getting gets off in this pump and added twenty one and thirty one bucks now for me. Cetera of I'd Love Center and I stopped probably needs the Ron Sung honesty stripe third up. How did we get some pennies drums. He's just come fresh from the role of Alvin show how bag you get a jacket lot that is jammed on the Perth Bandwagon. They're absolutely flying and understand that he's got really good figures you first time. Dan The strike or just law but at that price you happy deformed and have something only joie get that Josie and he's got to the speed. He bought a less Silva dauth rocky on someone son lot set an unusual preparation leading to an everest but you'd listen to Tony mcevoy sighing at she hasn't been fit. You needed the run. Not Everything went well in the code he had gone to Rice him between a Winter Moon Valley to give her another another blow out there. He's been coined on on the track and he's using these rices to get back into again of fitness up to a liberal who run a Moon Valley was outstanding on the non because it was controlled robot nitrous. Nash comes back to her best track Flemington down the strike at the new market the lightning. She is just an absolute star these me and she broke one. One nausea ran one. I twenty five when she won the newmarket. That's unbelievable galloping and she gets to free wheel against as a whole on showed I think she dictates terms and controls it and she's got that kicking turn of foot and she finds a gear at Flemington sunlight from me is the one I wanna be riding. Santa Ana lines interesting steady Boise first up weans were and he's first and second preparation. He hasn't won first up since so he normally takes one. This is a really good rice for him to kick off and get ready for an everest because a locks to travel and stimulate the Beagle. She'll be raw for the ever so it'll be charging. Heim sunlight for me. It's worth noting also sixty kilos. CNN aligned but he's so well in compared to the other who was he's just so well graded and somewhat as you mentioned this quick backup backed up two times before when the magic millions and one the Kumo right back yes. I've been up to sixty to ninety five. It was son opened up three dollars out of money. He's starting to count for absolutely and we talk about this preps Vince Benedetto La Jolla or something in front side. I mean this is clearly. Sit Sit for a second what they're very very good art. Let's turn our attention to the turnbull stakes. They have always mystic journey two dollars seventy looking to Mike and Means Mr quickey at four hundred twenty finch as a Yeoman Capos non box hot fifty kings will drain twelve roster Povich at thirteen very very elegant fourteen dollars trump for fools twenty. Three Bucks can lead the Hawaii State Kentucky Braves at twenty seven dollars Josie. I'll let you pick it up from he the map and how we're going to take one apart you note a Lotta spayed here. I would think a host like Kentucky braise on the backup. It's hot and feet. They should row four and track for foods. We know he's an my hero forward but there's not a lot of speed. I think finch confirmed probably late his back K. W. Day can probably get one one on the time now with I should go forward with that horse. What's mystic journey. I think she's probably going to be posted three war and as I stated in the preview probably not too much of an issue especially because I don't think they're gonNA go overly hod and I think she's the one to seventy in the market as you mentioned wally she's to forty so I think it's a good bit with her. I know she guys two thousand made us for the first time third OP. I recognise is going to be a pay. Run the coax bike but I know that I think this will be a performance without prep. She won the stray. Guineas was sort of a soft tone. She sprinted home. I think it's sort of the Roy sort of set up for her to get two thousand maters look. She ran really well. It's just getting absolutely through the roof in the mcabe. They win two seconds. She couldn't do any more than that so it's a perfect platform nail for to get a two-thirds of maters if he's going to run it. I think the rice suits it. Don't be too worried about or mapped Warburg. I don't think that's an issue I think she's that we are a contract for fools run a massive bryce Oregon if he goes faster than what he did lost out on the backup. He's been sensational on the quick backup before Perth. He can run well bought Music shoop society got or if you got something else I wanna say Mystic Mystic Journey a lover and wish the all the very best and there's nothing wrong with Iran last dot with the gap sick and up about getting better getting fouled at wife why I wanted to say getting again for me to be really counting on mystic journey to run the mall and a quarter for the first time stuck in a wide guide fighting the breeze a little bit slow speed paid Justice Cutler question. She's not the one on one of Rodney's one Rawdon is the warhorse nominees age and it's hard to know what you got to vowed back at Flemington and just couldn't make grammys to quickey finished beside him and just went past him and then a coalfield the other die he was close. He zoomed up in behind him. He's awesome looking for two thousand and I love the backup. He's a Flemington holes but the reason I want. Rodman see strong guy. It's nice but he can jump land out saw Italy. He can jump land one eight one back. He's going to have that breeze going to have that cleary to roll into the rice on his own terms and really look the winner at this stage. He's fit and I can trust him and he's around. What what is he the place he's around thirty to forty to sixty and wants to mystic journey to Noni uh he's GonNa. Look Win MIC Journey. We'll come and troy and go with him. At some stage Mr Quick. He's gotTa give grant and comeback in a small field is drawing Levin. We want to say it again. From Mr quickey was the catcher in the sports world black booker you can from it finch. Mom Album couples absolutely absolutely humming and there are side. Could he be a blow it just getting the Bauxite lucky did when he won last dot and just Gallup out well at Flemington. It's good test Takata Flemington for the first time I ever Molin as he warmed up to amalgam cap a loving but it's hot no little WANNA rod in the

A Review of 'It: Chapter 2'

"Today. We're discussing. Sometimes it comes back for you where it's more boring name it. Chapter Two starring Jessica chastain James mcevoy Bill Hater Isaiah Mustafa Jay Ryan James Ran Soon Andy Bear. Some of these people have to just be happy their names on a poster oester. I mean who the hell some of these guys the old spice guy because his name above the title and Bill Skarsgard as pennywise directed by a Andy Machete this is Arnie Coz now playing and the fun is just beginning Ed Stewart and this is the host who still insists he sees the ghost Jacob it aftermath aftermath wow as Stephen King Fan as somebody really into Stephen King around the time this came out of you. Remember dark tower came out right before this. I was actually buying a couple of Stephen King Trotsky to go on my bookshelf with all my Stephen King Books. They're made like a Jack torrens action figuring things and I'm like you know they don't make too much of this so I'll get a couple of these and put them up there. It exploded merchandising for every Stephen King thing. There's a hot wheels Christine. There are more pennywise figures that I can count what I'm not kidding. Wow Yeah so ooh many pennywise toys of all price points this has opened a floodgate on Stephen King that has never been opened before merchandising him to the Gen xers. I think so what does that mean. I mean we all know what merchandise meant and fanning the love of Star Wars. What would it mean to hold a bobblehead. Ah pennywise Ernie called GEN-X. You GotTa Buy Your Co.. POPs gets by stuff by toys by Chachis of stuff you like and Stephen King's. The big caught thing now so let's just how the market is. Is it selling yeah okay. I mean I didn't buy any of it. The moment you know what I liked about it when it was niche and there was like two things I loved it when every week. I'm getting an email this new pennywise doll for two hundred dollars. I'm like fuck it pennywise varian Syrian funk. Oh pops are there. Oh my God so many long tongue pennywise bloody pennywise smiling pennywise frowning penny wise spider pennywise okay this kind. It helps me understand why you were so into skarsgard. They've really been able to magnify what was a very small part of the film really wasn't in that many scenes and by my impression Russian he was only good in about half of them so how he has lived on in the minds of the viewer is through merchandise he made an impression he scarred us and and now two years later he's coming back to finish the job yeah and again. I'd equate to a Freddy Kruger. I'd think it's the closest thing we've had to a horror icon. In a long time and Freddie never had that much screen time it was people talking about Freddie and Robert Englund Cameo films. You know so and I think merchandising we've made every Jason we've made every Friday. Oh my God pennywise we have something new to sell but the highest grossing nightmare on Elm Street movie wouldn't begin to touch the gross of of this fill it goes well beyond the reach of a horror audience. I mean this. There were people in my neighborhood I walk my dog and churchgoing folk who I would never suspect suspect to have opened a cover of Stephen King said. Oh it's coming out soon people. I would not imagine demographics that do not see any other horror. Film are are coming out this weekend and why the impression I got was they really loved the kits. Yeah I think that I it was huge and almost every viewing was sold allow. When I went to go see this Friday night theaters packed yeah you can keep going on about penny wise and I think you're right for a certain level of people that loves horror ICONOGRAPHY. That's a thing thing but I feel like in mass. The reason why this is so beloved because it goes those children were so good and it connected to childhood so well and that's the struggle of chapter or two. I know that the kids are coming back in some role but the torch is being passed. It will now be for new actors. That didn't even have the job when the first movie he came out. What's funny is before it chapter one came out the sequel was in pre production. You know the studio knew what they had right and so when they were you're doing pre release interviews with the cast they asked the young kids who would you like to play you and Young Beverly said Jessica chastain and that kind of makes sense I mean chastain had had worked with Michetti before and I mean how many red headed actress sent me as I mean. It's either her Dallas Broward Sophie Turner from X. Expend Dark Phoenix twenty seven years later. That's great highlight store here. Maybe and then Wolford said Bill Hater. Those actually happened yeah yeah. I don't know how much they had already envisioned for chapter to win. Two years ago it blew up. They had talked about it. The whole way through one is what it was. They kept saying if we do a two. Let's leave this hook here. Let's leave this here. Let's leave this vague enough here. They knew if the movie was successful while filming part one in sixteen. If this did well we would want to bring the kids back would want to have some flashbacks but we're gonNA focus mostly on the adults and they had vague the ideas but they did never script yeah they knew the parts of the book they had left behind and so that was a lot of material is a big ass book. They could make lots of movies out of what was remaining remaining of that but they didn't have a script. They didn't have a cast again. It wasn't called Chapter One. They shape the experience as total you could just watch that movie the and be done and that was the studio's. Choice Warner Brothers did that the makers want to call it the losers club so that it had a hook there for a second one and and I think the compromise was chapter one at the end credits. I stand by that. I think that movie does work as a standalone if it had bombed and we never got chapter two I think that would still be a satisfying the movie as far as the art goes and I appreciate that I like it when movies tell a story instead of teas another film to come out at some other point I also think I think that there is a lot of ret conning done in the film. We're here to talk about today. Oh yeah they didn't create a first chapter that set up a lot of things they're we're going to do in this film. That's why there's so many flashbacks yeah they had to correct it by bringing the kids back and they did d. h. them with CGI because kids at that age you know two three years later look very different. I noticed height differences. I noticed like some who were shorter than beverly in part one out taller than beverly only in part to but they made the faces look younger yeah. I noticed that at times. They look a little bit plastics. Oh okay that makes sense because they D- aged Regata de age. These teenage kids not only like that but I noticed some of the lip sync work. That ain't his voice. You know your voice changes to three years later. They can't say the lines like they would've in the summer of one thousand nine hundred nine so oh yeah you just get people that kinda sound like them but are not them. Jack Dillon Grazer was the one who looked most distracting to me like for some reason his face just look blake an old man made into a child and but this is expected to be huge based off the first one I mean the first one broke records chapter. Two is breaking a record. It's the Whitest ever released for an R rated film with over forty five hundred screens in the US alone and they were saying hundred ten million two hundred twenty million this weekend. It's already falling short of expectations though it is it made less in preview screenings than the first film. It's estimated now. It's going to make less over the weekend than the first film. What did the first film do. The first film got one hundred thirty five million the first weekend. I guess I didn't see that opening weekend side there. Wasn't the big crowd. I didn't realize I was so big right away. I thought that kind of had a slow burn so it's looking like this will be perhaps second-biggest and they're now readjusting estimates down to ninety ninety million. Maybe as low as eighty million compared to one hundred thirty five million for the sequel. I gotta think some of it is you don't see kids and is not an eighties period piece. The nostalgia culture isn't there to draw in the big audiences. I know when I saw it chapter one opening weekend. Neri empty seat in the house. When I saw this opening night it was about a two thirds full on the APP but a lot of people didn't show up like all the seats around me were Phil on the APP and people just didn't come. I think that's the result of that. AMC stubs premier as you can buy tickets for no money so you reserve seats and like I'm decided not to go interesting house in the same screening as you Arnie for Thursday I max we didn't see each other until after after it was all over with but I did also go back and saw matinee on Friday. There was almost nobody there so I have not had the experience that this is something the masses asses are turning out to but the numbers are saying something different even at one hundred million if that's less than expected. That's an amazing opening. That's huge yeah for an R rated Orville. Matt is amazing and like I said packed when I saw it. I do wonder when the reviews started coming out and I always avoid reuse but you always see headlines in that. There were some concerns turns and I wonder if that scares some people away like they were not buzzing like with chapter one. I didn't hear anything I didn't see any reviews before going in but this movie cost cost twice as much as the first one bigger actors in it so if it makes less this one costs seventy million dollars they had budget built in for de aging kids and they had named named actors who we know and some of whom need to redeem themselves from an earlier x men film this summer and needs a show they still can do good budget built in so they didn't have that crap. Raffia from the TV series and it's also longer they can't screen it as many times in a day because it adds. It feels like another hour. It's not quite that it's more more like forty five minutes but still it's two hours fifty minutes. It's almost three hours. We're talking to vendors level length here well. The first chapter one was also over two two hours but this goes beyond that by at least forty minutes so again for lots of reasons. If you know the book and hold the opinion I do the best stuff.

"Mcevoy's doing like the world's way it stacks, and it's not even the Siamese and he's done in previous X men movies about. Think. Da da da know what he's doing is very weird. But I think it says a lot of the film that even like, even fast bend is, like me, normally, you would say he was the best thing about film. I guess he sort of walls in these, but he was still very clearly phone in and not not doing an awful law. Gates role is to snow suffering interesting. I don't think it helped that we went to see on the same day that we'd already seen Toy Story fool, which was really fucking good. Possibly did those those two films the wrong way rain should've should've had the pallet cleanser Toy Story fool. But we decided to go see that early in the morning to avoid the potential for, like lots of small, children, being present, which which turned it to court. Well, toy socials great. I haven't intended talk will say it's very good. All I've gotta wear opinion on the in the I think it might be as good as possibly even better them. I would need to rewatch the original Toy Story. And I say that because I've got quite a few problems with both to I'm three this like, they're still both ways in picks off films. Don't get me wrong. But this year, there's some stuff that happens in both of them. That I'm just sort of on three in particular, whistle bother me a little bit, because I don't think he gave would be a very good ending. But thankfully, that's, that's pretty much entirely to a story full addresses and I want Saini mocks, definitely don't want to spoil that the, it's a top top notch Toy Story movie all enjoyed it a lot. One of the things I did definitely want to talk to you all obey walls. You might have heard me binding on a t to blue are pay in the past at took away, remix party are rebound. I think actually put their album from last year. More top ten top five of the, in the Christmas episode absolutely amazing sort of, like, electro funk since pop electric rock. Awesome band. It's really, really selling list is just throwing a Elision of the will. But the guitarist from the band Lord Phobos released an EP. Say kit was last month setting four tracks on it. But he is absolutely amazing. I think the best way, I could describe it and take says you will in terms of whether or not you go it to listen to it, but the best way, I can describe east as being like the soundtrack to Icees movie montage, like he can very Ican pretty much imagine somebody like other no beefing the GM or like just that kind of sort of soaking up, you know, learning hey, to do something kind of a montage. It's very, there's no there's no lyrics to any of it. It's very Yelm. Hey, it's, it's a very retro survey tease kind of look funk. Pop scenes auto. No, give it a listen. Only four tracks. So it's not gonna psycho to which it'd be time. All loved it. I absolutely loved it. But then all of that sort of music, anyway, all of a lot of coins of music. But Louis yet that, that to me was dislike very fun album to, to listen to a mockery..

Phoenix, James Mcevoy And Captain Marvel discussed on Collider Movie Talk

"This first story is about dark Phoenix. And last summer, we learned the dark Phoenix was going back to Montreal for re-shoots. But sources told us at that time that contrary to reports a whopping three months of additional photography. That's a lot right there. They were simply going back for two and a half weeks of re-shoots on the third act of the movie. However, now we're finding out that, that might not. Have been the case in April. We found out the dark Knicks, the dark Phoenix ending was being changed in re-shoots from a space setting to a climax that finds the X men kidnapped and on a military train. Now, we've got James McEvoy telling Yahoo UK that the ending was changed because it was too similar to another superhero. Movie, here's the exact quote the end of dark v. Necks changed a hell of a lot the finale head to change. There was a lot of overlap and parallels with another superhero movie that came out a while ago. And we had no idea that we were dot dot dot com. Trailed off their you know the quote just ended. So let's jump into this, but before I even ask for your opinions, we gotta check the live chat, because there are a lot of people chiming in on whether or not they're planning on even seeing dark, Phoenix. David Jordan, Darrow says got my tickets already reviews. Don't stop me from seeing any DC or marvel movie has called for twenty said got mine. I ten minutes they went on sale. Sale. Kyle Johnson says I'll probably get my tickets next week going in cautiously optimistic. So back to that, quote now what movie do you think James McEvoy was referring to is pretty obvious was captain marvel especially when we talk about the difference in design of dark Phoenix, Jean grey taking away, making less flamy more different in that approach? So it seems to imply plus the train sequence we saw in captain marvel we have that in the trailers, and of course in the movie as well. So maybe there was a lot of that involved here as well. Trying to take away any kind of reference to cap the most he was the most obvious choice. Yeah. Especially when you consider the change in the setting of the third act to from cosmic to on a military train moving away from the cosmic aspect, and that's the thing that before Jeff Thompson here. I don't know if I buy this explanation to be honest with you have a couple of sources who saw this movie early cuts move in March of twenty eighteen and they tell me that the ending was already on earth. So I don't know if this is their way of. Hey, we pitched you space movie, but we had to change it because of that. And so now it's on the ground, I wonder if they're doing a little PR to cover their butts. I don't know. But it seems odd to me that they would say, oh, we're just gonna put it on the ground. Now. We don't want it to be Spacey when people had seen in the first an early cut of this film, and it was already on the ground in front of a certain monument in New York. So I dunno. I thought it was aqua man now there it is. Yeah. I you know, are you signing that sarcastic? It's nice. I don't know what the original ending was. I don't know what the new ending is other than it's on a train. I have no idea what movie could. All right. So even though we don't know specifically how dark Phoenix is going to end nor should we really right now before we even see the movie another question that comes from the story is should a movie even be changed for this reason. Because to me, it sounds like oh, hey. Maybe they should have taken a little more time to develop the story creatively so that you don't run the risk of having. Other movies out there being too similar to your own. That's a good point. Yeah. I don't know. I feel like we saw two different asteroid movies, we've seen to differ Truman Capote moves. It doesn't matter. It's about quality. Can you deliver the goods, even though the you may vote another movie? I don't think it really matters. It's a matters. Can you do it? Well, that's what as at the end of the day, a lot of movies have seen that feel similar to other movies, but they do a distinctly different and make it work with the organic structure of their movie. So I, I don't think it's a way to change things. Dark Phoenix was originally slated to come out before captain marvel anyway, right? So it's like they kind of had they beat captain marvel tha that ending. So why did they switch you know they don't think it's train. Yeah. Something, something doesn't add up to me. And this goes back to Jeff Snyder, the reporters number one rule for being a reporter, which is don't believe anything in actor tells you don't know anything. Well. To be fair. There's there's no to being there to James McEvoy. Things that were debating right now, whether or not their true aren't the specific things that James McEvoy pointed out and said the finale had to change. He was in saying, you know, we changed it from the cosmic thing to the, the trains. Right to stick to maga- voice, quote. I am of the mind that if it is, too similar than than. Yeah. I'm okay with a change. I'm okay with them thinking we have to change this differentiate ourselves in distinguish ourselves in the marketplace, particularly not being a movie that's going to do as well as captain marvel. If that is, in fact, the movie that we're talking about here. So I'm I am sensitive to those creative issues and I don't blame Kimber for wanting to go back and tinker with it. But yeah, I'm with you John, that a lot of this. This is just so much PR on the entire X men franchise, including the next film, which we'll talk about soon, which I don't really fault them at because this is a lame duck superhero film, none of these actors are going to come back and play these characters again, in the MC you Disney and Disney marvel trying to recoup as much as they can from this film. So they're doing this PR pushing I wouldn't put it past someone like McEvoy or fast bender to, like, okay, I'm going to speak about. These are the points. We'd like goes to hit. Okay. I'll do it as part of the PR programs. Part of promoting the movie. No prob. Problem. But I don't fault them. They want to make as much as possible gonna talk about new means a little bit. Same thing. They're just on recoup as much possible for they move on. I got. No. I don't fault them. I just wish I just think people can see through this.

"Had the puck a lot better. It hasn't been really dangerous. Not a lot of chance that they're not getting it to the middle of the ice either sedan chara comes over and has a word with kucherov now chara with a little punch to who. Victor headman the big man doesn't get in. There. Very often. I mentioned last game against San Jose. Did maybe his dander still up from that game that he's barking at the referee char is right now. But the lighting. Yeah. They they've spent some time in their own zone of Boston's had the puck, but they have kept them to the outside. When the lady of got the Faulk in the last couple of shifts there making fairly long passes into the neutral zone to a forward who's either almost completely stationary or doesn't have much energy skating up the ice. And they're trying to look back across the middle of the ice and make a plate there. Those four which are going to have to come back towards defenseman comeback like a receiver in football coming back to the quarterback beyond the move and get some speed coming up the ice because they're turn pucks over in between the blue Len's pointed Burs rod to the left of demeaning one by Berge rod McEvoy steps of the right circle. Mcevoy Kansas by that a wraparound tries blocked off by mcdonagh. Yanni gored by the lightning that finding point. But he misses on an outlet. Dislodge for Johnson now past the point at point does clear it McEvoy though has backed lightning unable to get the puck down the ice. Mcevoy? Dumps it in giving folks to mcdonagh in the near corner. Or is it up the nearside point rate and point hold onto it processed turning finally to center up the middle for jobs in that missed and it's going to be icing puck management starting to become more. And more of an issue for the lightning in the second. Abbas I buried three thirty one left in a scoreless first. Yeah, they're being ground around in their own zone for sure so getting control of the puck more quickly and having a chance to get up. The ice will make a difference now today, no chara and Yanni gorge. Behind the play and they had a big collision in the defensive zone. Charles play with a nasty edge, which the fans here love, and that sends a message to the rest of his team to Yanni gourds overmatched, thereby probably about eight inches in height, and maybe fifty pounds. And there's no way he's gonna fight char that would be of just plain dumb, but he's not going to back down from him. As far as the verbal and the pushing and shoving crazy and point point is given a warning. To the right of me. Who's got it does left circle dropped past but selected away. Fi Yanni gore. Trying to go process for surrogate Debrosse knocked away, but following up Yanni, Gordon right circle cycle for Johnson by the little pass intended for gore knocked away by crew up the far side. It's Debrosse clear held in podcast, right? Podcast battling Joe Hansen to hold it in lifted it out of play over the far side glass to fifty nine left in a scoreless. I know kucherov on that shift. I don't know who was a weird line change or something's going on know monitor that situation. I was noticing the same thing for sure a different combination. There was point in Johnson and yawny Gord. We'll see if if John Cooper just trying to get a couple of different matchups here testings out a little bit that last rush by Brayton point through the neutral zone. I'd like what he did left wing. He went all the way down deep to the second hash Mark before. He put the brakes on starts to curl back. That's what I was talking about. Take the puck deep offensively. Everyone's on the lightning, Ben. So it's not like they're short a player grizzly wellspring, Nordstrom up the middle into the lightning right circle. Takes cornered secretary. And I felt bad that he like had to give so much to this woman is asked his he if you I I would say that if you saw split and you enjoy James mcevoy's performance. It's probably worth seeing glass because you get even more of it, and he will carry your attention. There's two particular scenes when they have that flashing light thing that changes personality, which some review I said pointed out, you just like close his eyes or something. Yeah. You anyways? But there's two things there's one where the order lease like flashing them trying to get the kid to come out, and there's one where glasses trying to dismantle them and they're just flashing constantly. But McEvoy is he's just fucking incredible. Like switching from character to character. Gantry like, I know there's movie magic involved with cuts and things, but. It was a serious performance high. "The first movie we were going to talk about is glass by m night Shyamalan. This is the third movie in the kind of unpredictable and almost unnecessary trilogy of unbreakable split. And now glass nineteen years in the making nineteen. Years. I don't know you pay you pay fast loose with like in the making conversation. This was always my dear. Yeah. Very true. But this movie we get James McEvoy returning as a bunch of people, aka the hord. We get Bruce Bilas returning his David Dunn Samuel Jackson as a laser price, aka Mr. glass on your Taylor joy from split. It's Casey Kook coke says has to os Kook, I guess cook. What am I talking about? Why so weird cook? Anyway, I am I the past couple of days off, it it is it is a mess, sir. Paulsen as Dr L E staple and then a bunch of random people. So the premise of glass, and this is one of those films that I'm going to preface with if you want to see this movie avoid every single trailer because the trailers literally give everything away the only thing that trailers, the only thing that trailers do not show are, of course, his signature your pseudo twist at the end, but what you see in the trailer. Like there is. I mean, yes, there is more to the movie, but as far as the beats UCLA lot of those trailers. I mean, he's not doing the thing that we're used to seeing another movie, which is like you're moving things around in the trailer. So you don't really get rhythm problem film goes this is pretty much. This is how the film's going to go. Yeah.

"What did you think? I think it was a good and my movie it wasn't his best. But I think it was it was well deserved on having a sold out opening night here. I really liked. I like how he tied breakable split together with us. I mean it. It was pretty much a direct sequel to split and a sort of sequel to breakable. So I think I think they they wrapped it up. Good. Nice little bow a nice little boat. And then that twist at the end, but did they really kind of thing we're not giving any spoilers? It's will worth to watch it in at the before anybody kinda tells you what what went down, exactly. So I guess I really liked it tied. It all together for me all the characters in this one makes sense how they fit together now. Yeah. Yeah. The whole the whole universe is coming together. I'm just waiting for six or seven more movies come out just like it. They left it open where they live. Of course, they had to leave it open at the end because it wouldn't be his without that twist. And there was not just like one twist their multiple twists here with him. Not you expect one hit you with another one. And then they hit you with the big one hurt. Yeah. And they were like. Oh, him nights. So that was a, you know, I think out of what twenty four multiple personnel. What would you give it? I the full twenty four the whole horde. That's what I give it. I, you know, just just his acting out the twenty four split personality put on an acting that was that was very impressive to me. I give it about a twenty two. You know, I said, it's not his best movie. But I did like that it continue on with the story. Kind of wrapped it up in the nice book, and it gave you more wanting more. And there's going to be so many questions online about so many theories tattoo. You told me I do I want that tattoo. You'll see it in the movie. Yeah. Risk hat to risk tattoo. Whatever there's there's going to be tattoo somewhere. Definitely. Yeah. Let's see. What else we liked it? Let's see if they'd like to see what they like they were here with our first audience member. What's your name, sir? Martine? What did you think about glass, I loved it does the what was your favorite part ending, but without spoilers, especially with channel on what how do you think m night ended it as in ended the whole thing? But ended the the movie person, it's really hard to talk about the without spoiler out spoilers because you know, there's it's Chalan movie. So as chaplain movie, what did you think it's more of those expecting? For the twist. Yeah. Yeah. Exactly. Exactly. That's what it is. And so as as a super power superhero, what would your power beat? Super strength me to just getting out of the bed in the morning. It would bring everything with it. You know, in most people think about it, not just wouldn't be strong that strength that self would give you invulnerability nobody thinks about that. Your body has to be strong that has to be able to withstand that kind of strength. So that having super strength give you an woman ability as a byproduct barbeques Super Bowl, how many multiple personalities do you give it out of twenty four. Full twenty five. Oh, we got. We got a new one. Exactly. Wow. You know, he he's he's the twenty fifth personality. Thank you so much. All right. We're here with amber are, and what did you think about the movie? As we were just a good movie. Michelle was a a lot better than all of his other movies. He's happening yet. It's yet some stinkers. But you know, it's it's not it's not just a surprise my movie. It's a what was it called again, the betrays the east real trilogy Israel trilogy. So it kind of wraps it up, but it doesn't so so out of twenty four split personalities. What would you give? Twenty three twenty three. And what would your superpower b? Be the mastermind. The mastermind look a typical woman they were just really everything people everything. All right. So my mypillows statement was still thank you so much, and we'll see you. Well, maybe who knows there might someone movie. So thank you so much. Thank you. Well, you heard it from the peanut gallery. We weren't the only ones like this like everybody liked it. Well, the good thing is if most if most people did watch the first two I two movies, they would probably like this movie, especially split. This is it's the cinematography is split the pacing split in. You know, you have James McEvoy McEvoy. Yeah. That's why you still bold. But I it was a it was really great. I liked it. I give it a thumbs up and twenty two hundred twenty four personalities. I give it all. I just researched the the character. Kevin window crumbs, actually based on a real person. Billy Milligan look him up. He didn't kill a lot of people. But he did kill people. I know so mixes that have the same same mastermind evil mastermind as as Mr. I know have some excess. The only had two was the beast in in one other. So yeah, mostly the b but I mean, I think all around it was a good

"Goof off is supposed to be goofiness to it yeah and I don't know it within the DC universe because it's so serious whether they could, do a movie, like this which would have enough Huber in a marvel sense if you will That would connect. It was, another one it's like they might have, a hit, on, their hand I. Think. So and you can see one thing that really. Really stood out to me. Is that both ships Zam and alkyl man are connected to the world that they came from this apple man origin story to look at it it takes place after we've already met aqua man so like so it's like we're going back to we're learning about. Him, but this is taking place after the events of Justice league which I, think are good there are little nods to, both Batman and superman existence in the Zam trailer trailers are phenomenal Let me let me close with. This I started. Off as a fan of m night Shyamalan, started off then he fell off and then I fell off being a fan I came back when I saw the movie split I love, that movie with James McEvoy I. Loved unbreakable with Bruce Willis and also Samuel Jackson. If you didn't know they're making a double sequel you're making a sequel. To both unbreakable and split but they're combining in this movie, called glass they debut the. Trailer for that and let me tell you this movie looks like he's going to be fantastic Crazy intense like like when I, when I heard you watch it goes like. What is that pet sounds amazing. Walked into your office mind blown light. That might be nice leap kit yeah It and I can't wait for that one. But we didn't, play the trailers but they're everywhere you can easily. Find them sit down for good ten fifteen minutes you'll be able, to find those in and watch them in. Their. Entirety. And. If. Anything, I think they were the highlights of Comecon specifically that's. Some, quality movie seemingly are coming out in. The, next five. Six months and none of them. Are marvel yeah wow yeah. Yeah no that this is the. First kind of like we're okay yeah, we've already got a film coming, on yeah. We'll see we'll see in a little bit this, is the motel, show KFI AM six? Forty more. "I wouldn't go in there many bad things have happened i wouldn't do that if i were you i just want him to be that guy giving out the warnings so i guess my big thing about this this makes james mcevoy the leader of the group how do you feel about that you think he could be a good leader for this i think bill haters gonna kill james mcevoy but i guess i don't know if we've seen him as the leader type and a group like this where he is the protagonist old on donald really give shed honestly from sorry the bad conversation just must see the movie i mean it's it's hard it's hard for me to really care about casting decisions for the it follow up with the adults i love bill hader though they'll find actors good actors i'm happy with has berry berries pretty good very getting a lot more love and i think it it deserves but it's pretty good we talked about that on fortnight we talked about berry i don't know why came up oh that's someone's that's when i'll bill hader anyway trump give a shit can jackson i hate the movie anyway but james mcevoy and bill hader cast alongside jessica chastain it too i think comes out next year i believe two thousand nineteen september twenty nineteen chapter two which was the shittiest part of the original tv movie that was like that was the really bad part of the reason i don't give a shit is the cast of as many good people but it's all gonna come down to like how you're going to execute this.

"And me on the same page in the mcevoy waving the stick that was i thought it was triumphant he was doing it all on a couple of games i'm not sure you know he's not healthy not yet candidate i don't know but i i i'm worried that the fact that the least figure this out because he's had and what we saw last night when they get inside your they get that puck away you real quick and they can make all sorts of trouble for you guys anyway by calling maple leaf's fan and they lose the series after what i saw last night and i'm saying to myself okay they weren't supposed to win bronze with a higher seed but how do you get a loan out in the first two games and how do you seemingly try to give away game five and if they lose and i'm going to be a little pissed off yeah and i'm gonna be pissed off about that i'm going to be most angry at nazem kadri though it doesn't seem like maple leafs fans are it seems like they're just sort of embracing just wanna stand around and drink beer but it's and celebrate based on what we saw last night but yeah both teams can look back at this regardless of the way goes and see it opportunities for the bruins i think they had more chances to win a game three they chances to come back and at least tie it last night one for six on the power play those kinds of things the maple leafs capitalized on the opportunities they had the bruins did not to me that sums up the games three and five losses and when the bruins have played well when they won the series they've been dominant lear who the better team for.

"I don't think you would just do it if he's not one hundred percent like if he gives you you know loses a couple of games like three two two or something but if he's if he's a disaster out there then yeah you have to consider it but he's not ready he's not i mean you can tell you we've discussed as a million times too because the best goalie out there he's the gives them the best chance to win and if it comes to stealing a game maybe we're just too critical on the guy he's made some really nice place i know her job stolen some games this year that point that they got at the end of the year with but three seconds to go made that incredible save their like we've seen it i just think you know i the way we watch took on the way that he's judged i guess we can't i i haven't given them enough credit at least to say stolen any game but they're going to need him to be who he is and we know that the defense is had its lapse every once in a while i'll have to defense look good the other night it was funny one of the things that cassidy said before the game the other night was grizzlies talk into mcevoy and how like some of the young guys are talking to the veterans and goes first game the other night the tables turned and i think that same momentum's going into game two tonight six one seven seven seven nine zero ninety eight five bruins on the table we weren't talking some red sox get into some patriots in a minute i did want to get into hanley ramirez for a second here just quickly to things mookie betts did leave today's game with a foot injury yeah the first inning not sure if it was shin i thought it was a shin i'm reading now that into of a contusion eggo so he could miss time probably won't go on the dl though but he ran into the shin guard of chance cisco that isn't name can they go.

"Coming back i know that they'd like to get him in a game obviously before the playoffs that means either tomorrow night or sunday night you you in fact you'd like to get everybody game sharp if if you can go into the week now you'll have monday tuesday wednesday off from games you'll practice but you'll have games off and you know that that's when you'll get your rest and hopefully hit the playoffs on a next thursday a week from yesterday as fresh as you can be now if they have nothing to play for on sunday i wonder what can they even like legally do as far as how many guys can they actually say i think you're allowed four nonemergency call ups i believe that's the number okay big colby cave day i think on sold they've got returned to providence today so he'd have back now he was up under emergency conditions he doesn't count as one of those four recalls and go if you've got a guy up here for an emergency that's different you know like you've got a defense went up here when they had defenseman hurt i think i my gut feeling is as many people as they as they are allowed to play that's what they're gonna do and i think they might do that anyway but i mean you because you can't possibly think that these last three games are what they are in the previous seventy seven or even if you want to say previous sixty because they did get off to a bit of a slow start but those sixty games that has to be more what they are they still have the most dangerous i line they have a goaltender who i know not everybody is convinced but if you go around the league i don't know how many guys you would you would want over him i think he's still gives you that chance to to move on each round of the playoffs and their defensive pairings i think assuming they're healthy assuming mcevoy's able to knock some of the rust off is still pretty good so i know i know they've stumbled the last couple of nights but who who in the eastern conference do you would you confidently pick ahead of them and here's the other thing and i know this is a bit of a cliche but.

"Peripherals are saying they're really good aren't they end by the way i mean you get the lead in from the red sox game which is great and then you also combine it with the tampa bay lightning they weren't playing the islanders of the sabres last night they were playing the tampa bay lightning so it wasn't even at the scoreboard watched righty right there like you just beat the take care what's there in front of you and you're in you're in first place with six games to go so that's pretty easy to wrap your head around and and they lived up to a two last night they sure did there's that that cliche about you know the first home game after a long road trip and and you know teams have fallen apart i think that was offset by the fact that the bruins knew they were playing for first place last night they were able to you know if they were playing florida last night or playing columbus maybe it wouldn't have been the same sort of effort they knew that they were trying to catch that team and i think that helped offset it they're better than tampa there's just back day definitely are certainly the the match up now i don't know how tampa matches up against toronto and columbus or all those other teams or how they're gonna fair but if it's just those two teams you feel great about the bruins but the other thing too with with some of those game you mentioned how bacchus returns so when there are games where it might be easy to sort of say hey we're just on a long road trip and now you're back at home or happens to be a back to back or whatever it is if you're getting guys returning to the lineup just like sunday it's going to be a back to back but if charon mcevoy or they're like it's gonna be hard for the rest of the guys to be kind of down and going through the motions or like all right here we go now we got our top hair is back and now you.
