"Do <Speech_Male> <SpeakerChange> <Speech_Music_Male> <Silence> <Speech_Telephony_Male> you not? <Speech_Male> I think we'll misses <Speech_Male> fine and dandy with it. <Speech_Male> They obviously are. <Speech_Male> And it's <Speech_Male> been a great season. <Speech_Male> But as far <Speech_Male> as laying on the <Speech_Male> field, it's been a really <Speech_Male> good tenon two season. <Speech_Male> But <Speech_Male> I think if I was an athletic <Speech_Male> director, I would <Speech_Male> like to see this <Speech_Male> again <Speech_Male> from lane. I would like <Speech_Male> to see how <Speech_Male> success continues, <Speech_Male> not <Speech_Male> is it going to <Speech_Male> be a quick flame out here? <Speech_Male> Yeah. <Speech_Male> Additionally, there's this <Speech_Male> occasionally <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> sometimes people. I <Speech_Male> know, I know. <Speech_Male> They might see a <Speech_Male> bigger number on a paycheck. <Speech_Male> They might <Speech_Male> see something else over the <Speech_Male> fence. Sometimes <Speech_Male> people stay. <Speech_Male> Sometimes people are <Speech_Male> all too happy to <Speech_Male> stay in their situation <Speech_Male> because <Speech_Male> it simply doesn't feel <Speech_Male> right. I know it's a little <Speech_Male> naive and romantic, but <Speech_Male> it does happen. <Speech_Male> I asked you about lane <Speech_Male> kiffin. <SpeakerChange> I <Speech_Music_Male> guess you must have missed the question. <Speech_Music_Male> <Speech_Music_Male> <Speech_Music_Male> <Speech_Music_Male> It's not romantic. <Speech_Music_Male> <SpeakerChange> Come on. <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> Hey guys, we <Speech_Male> will be watching tonight. <Speech_Male> Thanks so much. Great to see <Speech_Male> people are <Speech_Male> all too happy to <Speech_Male> stay in their situation <Speech_Male> because <Speech_Male> it simply doesn't feel <Speech_Male> right. Great to see <Speech_Male> both of you. Thanks Paul. <Speech_Male> Thanks Paul. Let's <Speech_Male> get to the calls and <Speech_Male> Greg is up <Silence> next. Hey <SpeakerChange> Greg, <Speech_Male> go ahead. <Speech_Telephony_Male> Hello, mister <Speech_Telephony_Male> foam, mom, how are you, <Speech_Male> zay? Quite well. <Speech_Male> Thank you. <Speech_Male> I think <Speech_Male> I'll call you. <Speech_Male> I think it was <Speech_Male> maybe two or <Speech_Male> three weeks ago. <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> And we <Speech_Male> talked about this <Speech_Male> day. We talked to <Speech_Male> about this <Speech_Male> was going to happen. <Speech_Male> We <Speech_Male> had James Franklin. <Speech_Male> He's <Speech_Male> lost what? <Speech_Male> 5 6 <Speech_Male> 5 <Speech_Male> out of 6 or something <Speech_Male> like that. And he just <Speech_Male> got a ten year <Speech_Male> deal, <Speech_Male> so he's off <Speech_Male> the market. <Speech_Male> But <Speech_Male> Lincoln <Speech_Male> Riley, <Speech_Male> they got him today. <Speech_Male> USC, <Speech_Male> that <Speech_Male> was the home run that <Speech_Male> we talked about <Speech_Male> right there. <Speech_Male> Now <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> what why is <Speech_Male> there less you gonna <Speech_Male> go now? <Speech_Male> And <Speech_Male> if you heard <Speech_Male> anything about <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> <SpeakerChange> Ryan day <Speech_Male> to the Chicago <Speech_Male> Bears, <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> I have heard <Speech_Male> every name under <Speech_Male> the sun to the Chicago <Speech_Male> Bears. So I <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> don't know <Speech_Male> what's true and what's not true. <Speech_Male> I just know that <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> agents are <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> becoming <Speech_Male> very effective. I <Speech_Male> had one of the <Speech_Male> top agents in the country <Speech_Male> called me yesterday <Speech_Male> about something. <Speech_Male> And <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> I was curious, <Speech_Male> he had a specific reason <Speech_Male> to call me. <Speech_Male> He actually called me Saturday, <Speech_Male> but <Speech_Male> these guys <Speech_Male> play with the media <Speech_Male> all the time <Speech_Male> and <Speech_Male> it's just the way it works. <Speech_Male> And by the way, that's <Speech_Male> what they're supposed to do. <Speech_Male> Their job <Speech_Male> isn't about <Speech_Male> you being happy <Speech_Male> wherever you go. <Speech_Male> Their job is about <Speech_Male> driving <Speech_Male> the price up. <Speech_Male> That's what agents <Speech_Male> do. <Speech_Male> And <Speech_Male> I know a lot of people <Speech_Male> are nauseated <Speech_Male> by it. <Speech_Male> But that's just <Speech_Male> what you <Speech_Male> hire a guy to do and <Speech_Male> he either makes his <Speech_Male> 15%. <Speech_Male> <Speech_Male> In some fields <Speech_Male> or his 2% <Speech_Male> or 3% <Speech_Male> or whatever, or whatever <Speech_Male> the hours are, <Speech_Male> it's all <Speech_Male> about hitting <Speech_Male> the cash register. We'll <Speech_Male> take a break. We still <Speech_Male> have an hour to go. We'll <Speech_Male> head out to <Speech_Male> Norman. <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> And find out how they are dealing <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> with Lincoln's departure <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> and who's next. <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> Do you <Speech_Male> own or rent your home? <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> Sure you do. <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> Fortunately, Geico <Speech_Male> <Advertisement> makes it easy to bundle <Speech_Male> your home and car insurance. <Speech_Male>

"Great to have all of you with us and let's check in with augie in New Orleans next. Hey, Paul, things must not be too bright in the Manny Diaz household right now. No, no. I would be on the phone with my agent saying get me out of here fast. Well, you know, we might need a defensive coordinator, Manny was a pretty good defensive coordinator, wasn't he? I like Manny. I'm surprised he has not been more successful. Well, speaking of successful, that idiot who called you at the beginning of the show Wild Bill from wherever and Texas intellectuals, he made this big deal about Scott, listen, I'm not a defender of Scott rabbi. I don't really hate the guy. It's just that he comes up with some dumb things now and then. But I am not on the Jimbo Fisher bandwagon and while Bill, you can keep Jimbo because Jimbo did himself no favors this past weekend. And I know he didn't have his starting quarterback. That's always an excuse. But Paul, can you imagine LSU is actually improving as a coaching staff is going out the door with his third string quarterback and third stream defense, he played the number now 22 team in the nation to withstand still at the end of regulation. The last couple of weeks has been very impressive. It took firing at hoosier on to get this team's attention. It also took getting some of the starters off the field, benching that. Well, you're right about that. And I've never seen a team that is actually doing better as chaos is just raining. Well, you said it all. They have a lot of depth. This is a good roster. And the top line guys had had enough. They had checked out. Well, I'm glad they checked out. And you know, even if we lose a bunch of them to the portal, I'm okay with that. I agree with and what herb street said Friday proved itself to be true if you watch that Florida game. Do you disagree with that? No. I thought harp street when he was with us the other day, made one of the best points I've heard on this program all year when he linked those two programs. Well, whatever he said, LSU took to heart, and they actually had taken it to heart the week before, but Florida did not listen, because there's video those guys celebrating like they just won the SEC championship and they beat samford as your other guests say not Stanford. So I just don't I don't see how Mullen can hang on. If this was bad rouge, they'd be calling for his head. He has to two games left and I think all eyes are going to be on this team. I think try to predict it is futile because common sense would say they'll lose one of them. But the expectations right now are so low that Mullen could if he wins both, it's almost going to seem like everything is back on the right track. Hey, thanks for the call. Appreciate it. Augie we have to go to a quick break there because I over did one of them. I'm supposed to run this place a little better than I do, but I don't. We will take a break. You are listening to the Paul finebaum show podcast. Hey, let's welcome Spencer and Richard in here from T OL, which will be on an hour and 15 minutes from now. Guys, thank you, let's start with Jimbo Fisher. I think he outsmarted everybody today by talking about a and M as opposed to having to answer questions about his woeful coaching on Saturday night. What do you make out of what Jimbo said today? A professional always stays a step ahead of the competition and that is exactly what Jimbo Fisher did by dodging every substantive question and saying, why don't you want to talk about me? Let's talk about me and my situation here. How much I love playing at ANM. What about your offense, Jimbo? Like I said, I'm not going anywhere. Yeah, but what about your problems with offensive production across the board? You know, this contract is so good they're investing here. Yeah, this was pro moves only from Jimbo. I respect Jimbo. He said, I'm gonna take care of the homefront. I'm gonna make sure everything's good at home. It's happening in the office. You'll need to worry about that. Just know that I will be home for dinner. I will be here. This is Jimbo turning his location on. This was him saying you can find me. I will be right here. And then you dodging the part where they lost to old mist because they couldn't move the football. So how many times does a coach have to deny something? Or is there a better way to deny it? For the bloodhounds in the media, I'm talking about YouTube. To get off the trail. I think it's funny Paul because you'll remember when Mike Tomlin denied, you know, whatever lengths he had to USC or what have you a few weeks ago. And for the next few weeks, reporters were asking coaches for a Mike Tomlin style denial. Short of what Tomlin did how demonstrative he was. I don't know how you can get everybody off of your back at this point. I can actually quantify how much people will continue to ask for this picture because we will continue to ask, despite the fact that Jimbo Fisher has said, I have ranches here. Not ranch. Plural broke boys, ranches. You heard at this point, despite the fact that he is being paid a guaranteed $75 million. So I can't exactly state what the limit is on the amount of money that will make us stop asking this question because right now it stands at $75 million, a sum that I can not fathom and that is so huge that I just assume the limits not there. They could say it's a $1 billion contract for the next 300 years, and we would still ask the question. Speaking of being in denial,.

"We're back. It's always great on these Monday afternoons to welcome back, Greg mcelroy. Greg, thank you for the time. Let's start with maybe some good news. Two programs at one over the weekend. Then we'll get to the underbelly of the SEC. Alabama and Arkansas clashes. It's a game in July, probably none of us gave a lot of thought to, but suddenly it looks very interesting. What do you think? It is Paul. And if you look at Arkansas last year, now people will look at the final score. And they'll look at just how one side of that game got inevitably on the scoreboard. But if you really go down to it and you dive a little deeper into the numbers, now part of it had to do with when it was played. It was moved. It was rescheduled. There were some issues with playing the game. It was very cold when the game took place, but they actually were one of the few teams that actually played well against Alabama offensively. Mac Jones didn't have a touchdown pass in that game, which is crazy to think when you look at the numbers he put up. It was his worst passing performance of the year. So there is something too obviously taken to account with what Barry Odom does from a stylistic standpoint. They're going to make life a little difficult on Alabama if they can't successfully run the football. So I thought last weekend was a little bit of a Ho hum effort from Arkansas. Albeit in a win. Hey, wins a win. Take it. But that's a depleted LSU team that played their Super Bowl the week before. I thought Arkansas would win that game a little more convincingly than they did. They ultimately got it done. You got to give them tremendous credit for that. They want to rivalry game and Sam Pittman and his boys deserve a ton of credit for that. But they got to ramp it up another level this week. Obviously it gets Alabama who's been to be told all week long by Nick Saban, hey, these guys played well against you last year. Don't let it happen again. So Alabama will be ready. I think Arkansas will be ready, and it should be one of the more entertaining games hopefully on the weekend on the SEC slate because it's not the best weekend Paul when it comes to SEC. No, it isn't. But we're not going to let anybody know that because we love these games. Don't tell anybody, but we're really tired. Don't tell anybody but we're really tired of these matchups in November. That's all I'm going to say. I would like to see these match up some of them. Maybe like a New Mexico state. I would like to see games like that played in September, as opposed to in November. But hey, it's all right. We have football and beggars can't be choosers. So look forward to watching whatever games we get this weekend. And Greg, this is something we've talked about a lot. The SEC did a good job of making one absolutely putrid weekend into two putrid weekends in a sense because last weekend had a couple of good games, obviously. Two or three, but there were the bad games sprinkled in. What's the solution to this? Because you played in these games, coaches argue that the grind is so long that their breathers, but I always hate these games because when players get hurt in these games, it just makes you sick. Let me actually anytime, but it's even worse. And it happened a couple times on Saturday for the crimson tide. And I don't like these games. I've been outspoken about it. I think that the SEC schedule is a grind. And I acknowledge that it's a incredibly difficult on the players and the coaches and yeah, it's kind of nice to take a deep breath for a week and not be challenged. But ultimately, are we serving the fan? My answer to that is no. I've always thought Paul, it's that when you look at the schedule, I'd like for it to be a crescendo. I would like crescendo meaning it's getting louder and louder and louder and louder and louder. Well, in football terms, better and better and better as the season goes along and then the most intense games are actually those games being played in November. Look, I'll be the first one to tell you, Paul, back in September, when I was starved for football, I'm sitting watching tape of the Toledo rockets as they prepared to play the Notre-Dame fighting Irish. Why? Because I love football and in September, I can't get enough of it. Even if it's subpar quality, I'm going to watch it. I'm going to enjoy it, and I'm going to consume as much of it as I can. Well, when the games are in November, and I've already been served the main course of the regular season that is college football. Guess what I'm not really in the mood for. And I don't think many of the fans nor do I think many of the players are in the mood for the games that we've had last weekend and have this weekend. These games should be outlawed in November. Putin's put them in September. I'm all for, hey, a lot of people, the pushback is, well, this is the family friendly game that you can take the family to because it's not going to cost an arm and a leg for tickets. By all means I totally get that. I would love for those games to exist exclusively in September when we're still starved for football and then beginning October 1st from October 1st through December 1st, all we have our conference games. Conference games every single week. Of course you can have your buy in there wherever it fits, but it should only be conference games after October 1st, put all the non conference beforehand, get all the kinks out because when conference play starts on October 1st, it's a grind from then until the first week of December. So that's how I'd love to see it, but until the college football playoff committee forces the SEC to change, and they won't, nothing's going to change, because it allows these teams to rest up a little bit before rivalry week. I'd be in favor of you starting the week. The season a week earlier, throwing a second buy in there, but or whatever, because you're right. At the end of August, I'll watch anything. Now I'm not. One thing I want to ask you about, you are in the poll. I watched Fresno, I watched, I watched 60 minutes of Fresno versus Yukon. In.

"There's a lot of rumors going around davo possibly the time for him moving on from Clemson. Let me jump in here for a second and I don't know whether I sincerely doubt that if there is a change that a coordinator will come in there. Brand ventilators has been very good. Both at Oklahoma and Clemson. I think with Florida has to determine though is do they have faith in Dan Mullen to correct a program that he in terms of deficiencies? He helped create. He brought in Todd grantham. That was his guy. He could have had anybody wanted. And he brought Todd with him from Mississippi state. So this is his program. He owns it. And I always like when coaches talk about, you know, I'm going to sit down after the season and we're going to evaluate. That's what you're always doing that. And I think he's had a very precarious moment in time where if I'm sitting over there and Scott Strickland seat at the university president and others because I don't think this is going to be everyone wants to say this is Scott struck one's decision. I think it's bigger than that right now. This thing has gotten a little bit out of control very quickly. You have to look at Dan Mullen, you have to listen to his plan and you have to believe. He said last week he was making a change. He put a young person in a position to call the police defensively. It was a disaster. So that was the first decision he's made. Let's hear what his plan is for the future. And it needs to be convincing, because there's a lack of confidence right now. For many, many people, people that played their people that love that university and I think damn moments are capable coach. But he is in a very difficult position right now and the most important thing he has to do is win these next two games because if he does not the bleeding will intensify. Let's take a break. More to come. Greg mcelroy, on the other side. You are listening to the Paul finebaum show podcast. And.

"The second half. We talked to Greg mcelroy coming up shortly. Andy Staples in the final hour on the future of Dan Mullen and Allen is an Augusta Georgia. You are on next. The hello, Alan. Hello, Paul. Good afternoon. Thank you. Paul, I just long time listen our first time caller always enjoyed your non bars commentary. And I wanted to give a compliment and ask, I guess Bill a little bit and ask your opinion about something. Sure. The compliment comes from watching absolutely what's called a voice for it wasn't a voice from the past, but it was SAC storied a low commentator from the past. And I hadn't to see a flash picture of you. It's more about the same age, but there's no offense that I saw you with a full head of hair. And I actually believe the show the show back to look at I said, man, Paul found my man who was pretty sharp looking guy. When you still are, but I had a full head of hair. No, I'll tell you what, I was after that after that piece ran the other day, some of the people connected to our show. We're talking about me. And I went through my pictures and found a couple of high school pictures. And I have to say, I didn't recognize myself because you grow up and I lost my hair early. It wasn't one of those things you hit 50 or 40 and you're in shock. I got an early start to looking this way. Paul, I know exactly the same feeling and I lost all my hair, but they look a different direction. I guess the question I will clean it up has happened watching this for the last couple of years and I guess I'm always good with a handful. But what I see people on different teams, it doesn't matter what conference. But when I say it seems like there's been a more time on the hand slap in all the gestures they do after school and a touchdown are making a big play this. I guess it's all the show button. I can not stand it. I was raised different. I was told if you're good at something, you don't have to tell anybody. So you're still in the air that I realized we're talking about pros now, but you didn't like Cam Newton yesterday after storing the touchdown saying I'm back? To college. I mean, this is every well no, you're right. You walk a fine line and thanks for the call, by the way. How about red dog next? It's funny to hear how you and all the Alabama fans can't use comprehend how good Georgia is. You're bringing up a line in 2015. I mean, I was shocked the lines now already minus ten. Because I mean, Alabama's fire was in about 21 points, but that couldn't even score 21 points against LSU. Good to see y'all got your running game on track against New Mexico and you got more than 6 charge. Three weeks Paul, we're going to whip some Bama butt. Go dogs. I wonder what type of person thinks about calling a show like this, wakes up and then plots it out so eloquently. I wonder did mad dog go to the local library wherever he's from and read maybe some Aristotle or Socrates or Plato? Did he pull out some Shakespeare, I just wonder where he comes up with such such an intellectual dissertation on college football? I know you do, too. Catfish is up next. Hello catfish. Paul, always a pleasure talking, with you. Thank you. Looking dapper today. Thank you very much. You know, God only made so many perfect tabs Rashid covered with hair. Yeah, it's the kind of thing that you get over a long time ago when people joke about it now. It's like, I've heard this 3000 times in my life. It's always true. Yeah. I agree. Hey, get it a little bit of college football. I mean, what is your opinion of what Florida's going to do with Dan Muller? What do you think? I don't know. We're going to talk to Richard and Spencer a little bit. I saw Spencer earlier. We had a long conversation about it off air. And I think they're at a critical moment in time where I don't think anyone wants to make a change. It's very difficult to change coaches after you've already changed them to other times since your last really successful season. And the one thing Mullen has going for him is the last couple of years have been good. He's got the program heading he seemingly had the program heading in a good direction, but it's on a very bizarre trajectory right now. Hey, well hopefully if we get a ball game, it'll be against Michigan, huh? Well, it won't be against Michigan. I can assure you that catfish, Michigan is has one loss right now. Michigan, if it doesn't go to the playoff, we'll be in a New Year's Day bowl. Thank you for the call. Florida has been to a few of those. Great to hear from you. Let's check in with trip. Who is in Virginia? Hello trip. Hey, Paul, it's a pleasure to talk to you. Thank you. Been a long time listener. First time caller. More to talk to you about just Alabama was all since the bond. And I guess there are struggles running the ball. I know they kind of broke out of some of that against New Mexico state. Which is not the most premier defense they'll face. But I just kind of want to get some of your thoughts on how they address that and just really what we can expect to see against Arkansas is going to really stack the box. Yeah. I'll refer back to Jordan Rodgers earlier. He was a little concerned about this game. He said the physicality could present a lot of issues and as others have said the Alabama offensive line right now is a little bit banged up. It's a lot banged up actually. Hey, thank you for the call. We'll talk more about that game as we inch our way toward Tuscaloosa Friday. How about Kevin up next? Hello, Kevin. Hey, how you doing, Paul? Very well. Thank you. I appreciate you taking my call, called it a few times talk to you about the Gators over the years. Huge gator fan. We found ourselves in a big old man right now with Dan Mullen and, you know, I think speaking for most Florida fans, I think we all have love for demon because what he's doing over the years for Florida, you know, the Stanley said with urban Meyer and brought in some championships as The O.C.. I hesitate to say that it's time to fire them, but should it be the direction that Florida should go, I feel like if you look at the SEC and the teams that have obviously in the past, little say ten years, if you look at their head coaches, they've been defensive guys to successful ones. Nick Saban defensive guy. Kirby smart, defensive guy. I would think of Florida should move on because we've tried to get these offensive minded coaches to come in and they've struggled defensively and they've struggled to rebuild the offense quite frankly. Mullet in recent success has been the most successful recently attorney inference around, but our defense drastically fell off and it's been a huge issue for Florida. And I think personally should we move on to I don't believe it's not been a name that hasn't been thrown out there. Why, why are we not talking about somebody like a bridge in a bulls, you know? He's a coordinator. He's proven..

"Listen, this is to tell the truth mind me, baby. In a park is just old yeller. The truth is the Atlanta Braves are going to climb the mountain. You get to the door, reach for the door, trip and post their kids out on the doorknob because that's where people who sport cheese do in a single Georgia. This is the town of true London right here, baby. And the Georgia board allows them Atlanta brains are just delightful. There are difficult in your life, baby. And the truth is, I've already heard it. I got sources in the program telling me. This invent Bennett owns the locker room. The team is behind stenson Bennett. You got no great receivers. Your best receiver is a walk on. I'm sorry. You just don't have to playmakers at the end of the day to deal with Alabama to deal with Ohio State or deal with Oklahoma. Ask the purple people eaters of the minnesotan Vikings who had Alan page John Marshall and a dominant and couldn't win a championship. Because they couldn't score enough. Kirby smart is still light years behind when it comes to catching up and the office of game and it'll cost Georgia at the end Paul. Now here's another truth for you, baby. Coach hairline down at all this looking good, but it's still creep off. There's still a treat. And here's another two important call. Any playoff committee that puts sensibility and you tell me if you agree with me. Any playoff committee that Cincinnati and the top four is going to have absolutely no respect from people and fans in America. Do you agree with that or not? I agree, legend, but I've watched this charade over the years, and I think they will tomorrow, but I don't think they will at the end if things go according to play. Hey, thank you for the call. Appreciate it. Frank is up next. Hey, Frank, you're on the air. Hey, Paul, how are you doing today? We are well. Thank you. That was pretty nice of legend to reference the purple people. Oh, yeah, for our fans up here in Minnesota. Absolutely. For that. But grant would be proud. Yeah, thankfully but still kicking, but he's getting up there. Is he still around? That's amazing. I'm glad to hear that. Yeah, early 90s, but still doing all right. I'm glad to hear. Just wanted to weigh in Paul on the Dan Mullen situation. Yeah, what do you think? Well, you guys had a great guest on last week that talked about leadership. And that time made a really fascinating, interesting comment when he said something on paraphrasing, but something to the fact that leaders often have a blind spot for their blind spot. Right. To me, that Dan Mullen, his blind spot is he doesn't handle pressure very well. And his blind spot is he doesn't understand that weakness. So as he goes along his behavior week the week gets very inconsistent, he gets very defensive, very prickly. His press conference has become terrible. And he just digs himself deeper and deeper into his own situation with his behavior. He really can't get out from under his own his own way at times. Yeah, that was Ken Smith Meyer, who said that, and it really is one of the most interesting things I was. It really was. That was very good, but it made me think about Mullen.

"Still a chance they Paul. I mean, they are the defending champions. All right, that's what I want to do. Hey, Paul, you called us to tell the truth Monday, right? That's what coach O says. Yeah, I like it. I like it, baby. I like it. And here's some truth for you. I don't tell the truth. The first true thing is Greg mcelroy. Hokey. I still ain't for gaming for the Cam Newton game. However, he has some truth for you. I'm being real with you now. The two concerned into one hell of a play by play announcer Paul, do you agree or disagree? Oh, yes, I totally agree. Yeah, I mean, he called the gay another night to do was dead on. He knows his stuff. He knows the stuff. And I have to kill it too. And that's rare because truth is ESPN hires every NFL retail quarterback in the world. And all of the main experts to tell the truth. Want to tell and play by play. Now Paul, here's another truth, boy, what the hell is George adorn? I'm okay, you're gonna kill a heel. Tell me smart is not no call by genius. You don't play Steve care when you got Michael chillin on the best Paul. You don't do it. It don't matter how many three Steve cares here. It doesn't matter how many games Steve Kerr has won. You don't play Steve Kerr when you got Michael Jordan on the bands. Now we've seen this before. I said at the time of the sugar bowl game in Georgia's got any hope or win a national championship in the next two years, Kirby's smart will tell Jake Brown right now, you've been grateful the university of Georgia, but son, it's time to sit here. I ask now a better player a better athlete. This is a locker room. And this is what's going to cost Georgia park. I told you, it's psychological. And psychologically, Kirby smart is an idiot, and we don't get any of them again and give it in a day of immediately Paul. Here's the legend. First of all, JT Daniels was just cleared to play in the Florida game. He was not needed. And he may not be needed for a couple of weeks. But you and I both know, he will play this Saturday against Missouri. Guaranteed. Well, here's another truth, Paul. Name me one George a wide receiver that strikes any fear in you. Well, they have one, and he's injured. Pickens..

"Auburn tigers Greg, heading to College Station. What is your assessment of what we've seen so far and look ahead to this weekend? Well, they've been great. I mean, everything that Brian Harrison was brought to auburn to be, he's been. I mean, this is a guy that does more with less and has throughout the course of his career. He also is not a guy that's going to just completely gloss over potential weaknesses. He's a guy that's gonna get things addressed. And if you look at the accountability that was shown earlier in the year Paul and you remember the game against Georgia state, had a lackluster performance. Did make a change fire the wider fever coach, essentially put everyone else on notice, including the players, and now you fast forward and look at what's happened as a result. They played Georgia pretty dang close. I know the score wouldn't necessarily indicate that, but the final score to me was actually not indicative of the fact that auburn might have played them better than anybody outside of Clemson a week number one. So I think this auburn team has done everything right up to this point. There's a lot to be proud of. There's a lot of growth to be acknowledged, but also just like every week in the SEC, you're only as good as your most recent performance. It can easily be torn down very quickly. If they don't go on the road against a very capable text say at empty this week. And speaking of what you did lately or to have done lately, that's why Dan Mullen is the talk of this program. This afternoon, Greg and you've heard it all, we talked about it nearly 12 hours ago. Where is this program I now and how does it find or get its groove back? Well, there's a lot of problems right now, Paul, there's no denying that. This past weekend, I'm not sure anyone thought it was that much of a surprise. I mean, at this point, George is a superpower at Florida is trying to pick up the pieces of what was at one point in 2020, a very special season. Granted, I didn't like the way they finished last year and the way they've played this year has been very inconsistent. Even throughout the game on Saturday, I mean, there were moments where like, oh man, Florida's got a chance. And then boom, turnover, and then as soon as those things start to happen against the George bulldogs that got from somewhat competitive to rather ugly in about a span of 30 seconds. So I think this Florida team is still plenty to play for. But the question that I would have is at this point, well, I know that they're disappointed with their overall record. What game was it that Florida fans expected them to win? I don't think many people at least at this point expected them to compete with Georgia at a real high level this year. I don't think anyone expected them to play Alabama as closely as they did. The two performances that were very unexpected was a road trip to LSU, who many thought had a chance to be the second best team in the SEC west and then a team that was very senior laden on the road to Kentucky. I don't think any of their losses are completely unexplainable. We were talking about teams that beat them that particular day were better than them. So I think they can still get right. They can win this week and they can finish the season strong, but I do think there needs to be some internal reflection from Dan Mullen with some of the things he's doing on both sides of the football right now because the team has just been far too inconsistent. Talking to Greg mcelroy here as we look ahead and Greg, let's get to Alabama for a second because they were off, they have LSU, it's such a weird game. I mean, this has been the spectacularly talked about game every year. And this year you look at the lie, not took the line matters, but it looks it's 28 points. And this game just seems about as off Broadway as you can get. I didn't know it was 28. That's a lot of points. When you think about LSU, Paul, which LSU gonna get. I mean are you gonna get the LSU team that ran the ball with great conviction against Florida? Are you gonna get the LSU team that is able to manufacture some explosive plays in that game? Turn the ball over force, turnovers, excuse me, are you gonna get the LSU team that rolled over and looked absolutely atrocious against Kentucky? I don't know which one we're gonna get. And that's I think part of the reason why at ozone will not be back with the program next year is that this program, at least throughout the course of the last two seasons, has had.

"And we are back. Final hour has arrived Greg mcelroy joining us in a couple of minutes we'll get his take on some of the games over the weekend and look ahead to this week's auburn a and M game in College Station and Tim is up next in Kansas, a hell of Tim. How are you doing, Paul? We are great. Thank you for calling. First time caller long time listener. And actually, I want to talk about the Albert a and M game and all the applications around that game that I see one Alabama being able to win. You're right. Specific to help them with their rankings. But you got two things, both of them got a lot of momentum. Playing well. I think all we're going to face our toughest defensive line coming to this game. But I think they're both going to get beat up the hell. And next week, he knows that old myth and Aldridge have missed a state and both of them could lose those gains. But I think they're going to come out of this game be pretty well. What's your thought? Yeah, it's a really interesting thought. And I'm as concerned as I am about all this is health. They may take it easy this week, knowing what they have around the corner. And suddenly, without warning, Mississippi state is a very dangerous team, especially at home, and you're right. This is a very emotional game and auburn will have played two in a row. And you don't know what happens, I mean, I know they've had a bi week, but that's a really good point. Regardless of all that, I can't tell you how exciting this game is. And we'll be out there Friday and can not wait to get their College Station for what is arguably the best game in the weekend. That's not anything we could have predicted. The fact that this is a weekend of LSU Alabama and that game is hardly going to Garner a lot of attention. Jimmy is in Chicago. A hello, Jimmy. Hey, Paul. I wanted to weigh in on this Dan Mullen situation just a little bit. Interesting. That after a tumultuous 2020 season in which the Gators dropped their last three games that the signed fled to a three year extension on June 1st and that was with four years left on its contract and then furthermore starting with, I guess the 2022 season, it includes a pay raise of one and a half $1 million a year, which puts his annual compensation at 7.6 million. And I and that three extension keeps him in gainsville through the 2027 season and I just found the timing of that just bizarre considering how 2020 season ended you had the 25 players who opted out of the bowl game against Oklahoma and now that you're having let's say tough times to say the least in which the Gators have gone for and 7 in their last 11 games and you're talking about maybe a mo and possibly being out, why would you put yourself in that situation if you're the Florida administration with a possible gigantic buyout? Because with this current contract extension, starting at next year, I mean, you're going to owe him north of 45 million for the next 6 years. Doesn't that sound strange to you? Jimmy, I don't have to look up the numbers. Here's what happens when schools reward coaches. They're doing it because they're being told we have to keep up with the Joneses. In this case, the Kirby smarts. And they don't have any sound fundamental logic behind it. It's just a matter of telling recruits. Our coach is making the same as that guy. And you're right. From a business sense, if the world, it almost reminds me of the federal government just raised the debt. So what? It's not our money, although it is. Yeah. And I bet it is irritating to Florida fans. I think when they announced the extension, the Florida administration made it a point to be sure that Mullen was making more than Kirby and with that extension and the pay increase that goes into effect in 2022. He's making 800,000 a year more than Turkey, which just again. Well, Jimmy, you really, you're asking for all the you're asking the wrong person, the question you need to ask the most important person in college football. That's Jimmy Sexton, because he represents he represents Kirby and Dan Mullen, so he can go to the every athletic director and say, listen, the other guy's making this, how do I know? Because I did his contract. Yeah, exactly. Well, I know you would know this, Paul, are there any SEC head coaches right now that are represented by Jimmy Sexton maybe one or two? Yeah. I think I don't think you're on is. I'm not, I don't think Carson is. But I'm pretty sure yeah, I think the last time I saw it, it was like ten. And by the way, Mullen was not represented by Sexton until a couple of years ago. He hired Sexton right before he went to Florida. Right. Well, I just wanted to try to get your take after 9 weeks of the regular season what are your big takes that have stood out other than the fact that auburn sitting at 7 and two and they've surprised a lot of people. And then, of course, Florida are really strong. Jimmy, I'll answer it this way. If you talk about disappointing teams nationally, Clemson probably ranks number one. And Florida and aren't too far behind. And I only put Clemson in there because clumsy was expected to at least contend for the national championship Florida and LSU or on the next tier. Thank you very, very much for the call. Let's check in with bowden up next. Good afternoon, bowden. Hey, Paul. Hey there. I know we've been talking about the SEC, but you've been named after coach bound and so my question is, do you think coach Mike is going to turn FSU around? Yeah, so I happened to see the end of the game against clumsiness. I thought they played really well. Hey, by the way, so you are named after coach bowden. Is that correct? Yes, sir. Yes, sir. Can you I'm curious what's the, what's the background on that? Is your whole family up issue? My mom, she went to FSC for college for a music major, but then left for two years to be a teacher. But she was just she just loved Florida so much and at the SKU has been her team and so she decides to name me after Bobby Batman. That is so interesting. Did you ever know he just passed away? Did you ever get a chance to meet him? Yes, when I started when I was a little baby at one years old, and I got to meet him at a book signing. And I was wearing all my SSU gear getting ready to meet him and it was just so cool. Even though it was a little baby I didn't know what was happening. Well, no in coach, no one coach bought and I have a feeling he was very proud of that moment knowing that you were named after him. Well, you take care of yourself and we'll talk again. I think FOC is coming back. Well, great call. We'll take a break. Greg mcelroy will join us in a few minutes. We'll get his take on the hot stories of the weekend and look ahead to this week. "But if henon hooker's out of lineup for an extended period of time, I get a little concerned about what their offense might be able to create down the stretch. Greg, what are you seeing and learning from the auburn tigers who have now two road wins against LSU and then it failed, they'll Saturday. I see why everybody self included was pretty dang fired up when Brian hartson arrived on the planes. This is a guy man that's just he's an incredible head coach. I don't know how else to describe it. Right now, they have weaknesses. This auburn team has weaknesses. They're far from a perfect product, but those weaknesses if they don't get addressed immediately, then Brian harsh is essentially going to step in and say enough's enough. And what we saw a couple of weeks ago, Paul was Brian making it difficult decision to fire his receiver coach in the middle of the year because that group as a whole was underperforming. Well, fast forward now a couple weeks and the wide receiver group is almost unrecognizable compared to where they were early in the season. And what that wide receiver group has done, it has filled bow nicks up with a ton of confidence. He's now anticipating throws. He's able to lead guys to where they're running, throwing it to spots on the field and allowing the receivers to run under it because he trusts that the wide receivers will get there. That group's improved drastically. I think the offensive line, while it's not an elite groups on overpowering group, they've done a good job of helping that offensive line with some of the looks in the formations that they've used these last couple of weeks, and then defensively, they have some elite playmakers at the second level and they're letting those guys play free. The pass rush is still a little bit of an issue. And I think the situation last week helped them an awful lot. Arkansas was on the heels of a three game stretch that was just a gauntlet. So I think it definitely was going to be a really difficult game for Arkansas to win. But how can you not be impressed with what you've seen from auburn up to this point? If you're really categorizing and looking at how things are unfolding right in front of us, if you're looking at a potential SEC coach of the year, Brian is on the short list. At this point, with what he's done with a roster that's thin and lacks talent in certain very important spots and with the progress that we've seen from bow nicks here over the last few weeks since he was sat down at Georgia state, how much better he's gotten from that point forward. There's an awful lot to like with the trajectory that auburn's programs currently on, but obviously tough test this week, tough test next week against old myths. So all that's been done well can be undone rather quickly if they don't continue to improve. Greg does it matter who's quarterbacking Georgia? Yes, Paul. It might not matter with all due respect to the likes of who they've played up to this point, no disrespect to Kentucky. Kentucky's just overmatched. They just don't have the personnel. They don't have the horses to be able to keep up when George is playing against the likes of say Alabama. Yeah, it's absolutely matter. And I think sets a good option. I really do. I think he has really probably taken way too much heat. And people give him a hard time about his height and the amount of tipped passes last year, but the last I checked, he went into halftime last year with the lead against Alabama and Tuscaloosa. So it's not like this guy's chopped liver. He's a really good player and he looks better this year is better command this year. However, I think I'd be naive in saying that JT Daniels isn't the most talented option. I think he is. But stetson Ben is extremely good and unless JT Daniels. And I've said this a hundred times Paul and people are well, JT's got to be the guy. He's got to be as soon as he's back. He's got to be thrust in the lineup. Heck no. Stetson Bennett the guy until I know for a fact that JT Daniels is at a 100% because JT and anything less than a 100%. Anything less than say 95% that stetson Ben might actually be the better option. JT Daniels at a 100%, that's embedded at a 100%. JT's the better option. But until we know for sure, the JT is at a 100% and can be accurate with the football. It won't be limited by the pain that he's dealt with during this injury, then I think you have to continue to put stetson out there because he's playing good football and he's done so against some really good competition in the last few weeks. Greg mcelroy always great to have you on thanks, Greg. See you next week. Greg mcelroy joining us from his cabin there with all the X's and O's. We will take a break, more to come, the guys and a few minutes. We have been all over the place talking about Edo and Tennessee and really a comprehensive look at the SEC right there from G Mac. "Saban talked about getting bruised in the melee after the loss to a and M that did not happen Saturday night. Greg mcelroy part of the call for Mississippi state in Alabama and Greg, I want you to take away on that game on both sides because we all were led to believe this could be a trap game for Alabama and the only thing trap was Michael leech's offense. Yeah, and Paula, I can't say it was that surprising. I think when you talk to people close to the program last week, every single one of the players went through the motions the week of the a and M game. That's not taking anything away from the aggies. Let's just make sure that first and foremost, here what I say, the aggies deserve to win. They were outstanding two Saturdays ago. But a big reason why Alabama struggled so much that game is because they not only were attacked and beaten by a team with a lot of great players. They also I don't think did what they needed to do to be fully prepared to play that game. And I think the coaches did some self reflecting. I think the players were issued a challenge. Those players responded to that challenge, Paul and it was really something that was quite impressive to watch, frankly. Alabama played great on both sides of the ball and they really didn't allow miss to be stayed much, and then conversely missed the state. They have some soul searching that needs to be done right now, Paul, because what I'm seeing right now is stubbornness from Mike leach. Right now, he on several different occasions allowed maybe the best edge pass rusher in the country and will Anderson to be in a one on one situation against his right tackle. And that resulted in four sacks of fast breakup and 6 tackles. Then what I'm seeing right now from Mike leach is an unwillingness to adjust his protection and unwillingness to do what he needs to do to best put his offense and position to take advantage of where they might potentially be outmatched. So it was a great job by Alabama. They played fantastic, but the biggest takeaway I probably had coming out of star fold this past weekend is that Mike leach is currently displaying a level of surly displaying a level of, I guess stubbornness that we haven't seen in quite some time. Greg, I don't know if it's stubbornness but a lot of grumbling today about Dan Mullen's handling of the quarterback situation. I know that isn't breaking news. We've heard that for a while and he's got an amazing reputation as somebody who deals with quarterbacks. But as a quarterback, what are you saying from Dan Mullen right now? Well, obviously that was a terrible performance this past weekend. My issues weren't as much on the often side of the ball. They were sloppy. Very, very sloppy offensively and didn't really matter which quarterback was in the game, both made equally bad decisions. I mean, Anthony Richardson for his great as he is. He looked like a freshman on Saturday, and that just can't happen. Not on the road against a team like LSU. I mean, what happened really was extremely disappointing, though more so on the defensive side of the football pole. I think when I look at this Florida group, I thought there were signs of growth. There were some progress that was made up to the first season. Really even after the Alabama game, the way they played in the final three quarters that gained that was pretty dang good defensive effort. Well, that group was not the group that showed up on Saturday in Death Valley. I saw it LSU team that couldn't run the ball against anybody. It couldn't run the ball against air. The next thing you know, they're making the LSU running attack look like the Wisconsin badgers with Ron Dane at the helm. It was unbelievable. I just couldn't believe what my eyes were seeing to see a Florida defense that was pushed around that badly. By an offensive line and a run game that had been that stagnant was shocking. And it's something that I think they're going to have to assess because while the quarterback situation has been problematic at times this year for Florida, the defense failing to live up to the expectations that we have for the Florida Gators, that I think is what's most alarming. So hopefully they can get those things ironed out, because if they don't, they're going to have a bunch more losses coming down the stretch. Talking to Greg mcelroy about things that we saw on the field, they often feel issues that have been pronounced enough. So let me go to the almost Tennessee game because Tennessee comes to Tuscaloosa on this hosted LSU. Other than other than a delay in a melee, what did you see in that game that caught your fancy? No, I would imagine there's quite a few people that want to talk about what transpired in Tennessee. I feel like the biggest thing ever will talk about right now is officiating, faking injuries. No one wants to focus on the fact that Matt corral just had almost 200 yards rushing. No one wants to focus on the fact that Matt coral continues to do pretty dang remarkable things. And I know he didn't throw the ball as well as he has in previous weeks. But man, this guy proved to be one of the toughest guys in the country this past Saturday and the guy was beaten up. The guy had his leg about pulled off of his body and Paul was trying to angle his way back into the ball game on a critical third and ten. I mean, I'm just so impressed with him. So that's one takeaway. The second takeaway I have from Tennessee is all the progress that had been made. I think there's been tremendous progress. I stand by that. I really am proud of what Josh Hayes done up to this point. I really am. I don't want to lose sight of the progress that's been made, because right now, Tennessee because of what transpired in their students section has become low hanging fruit. That team is playing hard. The team has improved on both sides of the football. And I think that team is trending in the right direction. However, that's a big, however, I am extremely concerned about what that team looks like if henon hooker is not a quarterback. Headed hooker's ability to contribute with his legs and his ability to be accurate and do nice things with the ball in his hands, as I think what has made that offense really start to click these last few weeks. And while he didn't have his elite super a game stuff this past weekend, he obviously was hurt late in that game as well. When Joe Milton was put in the game, I lost obviously a lot of faith in whether or not that game was going to end in a Tennessee victory. I will say this, Joe Milton made a throw. The second the last play of the game that probably should have been caught for the game winning touchdown, but the final play was extremely disappointing. And one that he can definitely learn from. But I'll be real curious to see what Tennessee does moving forward..

"Soul sing. And that's why they're committed to helping you do right by your money so get started. Visit ally dot com to learn more on. But let's let's talk about a bama. The reaction here has not been good. I'm very interested in how things have been in your neck of the woods today. Pete golding we heard from his dad a couple of weeks ago. He's a high school coaching in In mississippi i hope he was a practice today because the the calls richard have not been kind to him. I wanted to know paul on this day to you just like do you spend an extra thirty minutes on the treadmill. Just have like eight additional shots of espresso registry like i've seen the pre-game training montage of you just like going to the heavy bags base ready. I distinctly remember you. Correct me if my memory is stated. Eleven years ago around the on a similar date early early to mid october. We did this show after the south carolina tobacco and i spent the entire show. We had a big big big monitor up. I was watching your site. Do a live blog of that game. Do you remember that. I do i do. It was fantastic. We were listening to you. You were watching us. This is a great feedback. Loop we get to this live. Now i just get to sit here and listen to like legend call in and wreck shop in the building. I will say it waylaid production meetings today because we're just sitting in the bullpen watching the tv listening to the calls. It was almost eleven years. Today was october ninth. Mark told me and there are even mcelroy. Who was the quarterback of record that day Don't look stats. It was fairly similar. I mean you had Zodda who all given up on. Stephen garcia was the quarterback that day. And i heard from since no this is the thing that we were talking about in meetings. I mean you need a sometimes. You need a performance quarterback just blocks out and decided. I'm not gonna throw an incomplete second incompletion until late into the third quarter. Which is what happened for. Two and a half quarters of that game that is only incompletion was the interception that he threw. Yeah and particularly icy. Because i think we all thought maybe they were done. maybe they'd gone ahead and in third quarter lead alabama. Take this thing cal. Zodda not only does he come back and throw the game tying. Td right he gets injured on that play becomes back in and leaves them down for the game. Winning field goal that's department. They went off script from your typical alabama throws a counter. Punch ends up winning this game thing. They managed to come back and actually win it. That's what makes this game to me. So unique in the canon of like nick sabin losses with alabama. I'm not trying to kennedy lincoln Even years and all that. But you know the quarterback. The day in colombia was steve spurrier. Who had a national championship from the state of florida. The quarterback saturday night jimbo fisher national championship from the state of floor. I mean there are some eerie similarities. A number one team went down. It was both stunning upsets. I think in some ways. This may have been even more stunning. Because amb had literally been given lash writes. Yeah and they did the things that you don't do. Alabama how like. If i told you if i told you that alabama would have blocked upon and stored on it. That's all and that's all. I told you about the script about how that game played out. What would you think would have happened. What would you think of hemp. If i told you they outgained what got outgained. They allowed one hundred yard rusher right. They had a special teams. Td they'd had all of the things where you go while obama should've had his right. If you look at this box score and did not watch the game. it's baffling. you might think. Texas lost fourteen if you're looking at the box score. And by the way the odds of alabama blocking abundant touchdown and then giving it back in one play yes. Yeah that is a stunning. I remember when i saw it live. I was like you got. Yeah it's and that's one of the. That's probably the moment where i was like. Oh buddy if they're doing stuff like that it might not be the night. Yeah but this is the way it should be really should be. Everybody spends a ton of money on football. Everybody super over invested in the sport. It should be this competitive week to week right. It's sort of a backhanded tribute to how dominant alabama's ben. That we get to talk about it long. And i don't want to take away anything else but this is one of those mondays with all the great stories. That are coming up i. It's hard to let go this thing because we're almost forty eight hours from the beginning of the star of the game and it's still. It's still stunning. No still by far. And by the way mondays or for film review. That's totally fine. The fan they're hearing this conversation like carry. Tuesday let's keep it going. Maybe when we get into wednesday before we get super excited about our next match. Teams have a twenty four hour rule. Where you know you celebrate the wins for twenty four hours. And then he can it now. We're going to keep this going and going and going and going. At least their fans expect. Jimbo tried to tell us earlier that you know he's he's been buckled down looking at film missouri. I mean that would be scary to watch missouri. Wouldn't oh my goodness i mean. Imagine the drop off there now. I know jimbo's going to say all the things anybody can beat anybody in this league. It's a week to week league like the nfl. Whatever but when those coaches cut the tape on no no as the person who's like core is completely hollowed out by the bitterness of former losses. Okay burnt to the core. I will say this. Who was the worst team in the sec. West last week it was texas. Am it was up beating alabama. So jimbo's taking nothing for granted because his memories a little bit longer and it only has to go back two weeks for us to go like oh man who scared am guys. Were an hour and eight minutes away from watching. You live here on the sec network. Thanks so much. We'll be checking ended a couple of minutes. Let's try to squeeze a few more in here before we Plum run out of time for the. Our donny is up in the bluegrass Hey hey donny. Good afternoon stock till you buddy avoided over ten minutes. But i know alabama gets paid is the main thing to talk about. You got The georgia game though Kentucky next week do you think it can happen Two weeks ago number one get they. It's happened before remember Couple of years ago auburn beat number one georgia number one alabama in a span of fourteen days. I haven't really focused on that game yet. I think we're all probably assuming it won't happen but having spent a couple of days in kentucky mark stoops's put together a fantastic group of players He has and i want to say this georgia has got one of the best defense is that i've ever seen. Yeah and but. I'm saying this also if they overlook kentucky kentucky. It's got an offense like i don't play georgia's played against this year and i believe it could happen again. And if i was one of the bookies that can win One of the election horse farms if they gave them twenty four points. Because i don't believe that's i saw a lot of points to grab onto. Hey thank you for the call. Appreciate it bama. Nick is next. Hey obama i. I'm already doing right shoulder day. Thank you. I want to give a matt from san antonio a shout out they yeah like legendary they spiked are so you know whatever and i wanna tell you. I'm an eye listeners. Paul whatever happened to title nine investigation. it's still going on. Oil can hurry up and come up with some findings before it's too late. I don't think it's going to matter. Well i mean at this point i mean. I've got first of all the guy who called a few minutes ago. Given props to penn state we don't care about penn state. So anyway and mulligan mulligan mullen. I got two words to describe him smugness and arrogance But anyway that's not why. I'm calling i'm calling about it on that guy buffoon. Embarrassment disgrace they need to give him a gumbo or and let him stir gumbo out pre-game celebrations because he is not i mean. Did you hear the guys press conference. It's like they're sealing a coach press conferences. It's doesn't matter whether we winter loses. It's the same press conference every monday. But i mean paul. The guy is like just detached from reality. He's talking about great leader on the team. Did you see any great leaders. Feel saturday let's forget. Forget what he said. Okay here's the issue for. Oh i'm gonna read this to you. Tell me at the end of this run. What what's what the result will be your smart guy. Lsu at kentucky. Saturday night. Next week. Florida lsu lsu ole miss on the twenty-third lsu at alabama and arkansas adelie shoe. How many how. Many of those games are the tigers going to win. We talked about this about five times. I said it getting into season. The best they could do is eight and four predicted seven and five now if they break even at six and six. They'll be lucky. Well my arm my my point back to you argue is whatever you're saying about him as mood because it's six and six seven five and maybe even eight and four. It really doesn't matter. I think. I think it's a case closed. I think at eight and four he was survived and people have said hey improved Let's give them another year. But paul you're gonna talk to ramble. A at the last hour rapidly. How to call them the day after hours after the game saying something to the effect that ed raw seat is getting warm hell. It was molten lava last year that mississippi state game. I don't know where rabble as coming but you know since brooks could be in a left the advocate. We have not had a real quote advocate working for the advocate. They make excuses for os. Ron and you know. I know you love the guy and it's no longer eddo draws issue it's beyond editors rob listen to me as someone who used to write columns for a living and i'm not here to diminish the importance of that newspaper but it doesn't matter what what's those columns are not going to affect scott woodward scott woodward is going to listen to the people that he's close to and they are going to tell him what the temperature is on co show. It's not going to be on twitter. It's going to be on this program. It's not going to be on local talk shows in baton rouge and i don't think it will be a close call. I think he'll either survive. Now you're right now. Eight and four is a very dicey proposition that means that He can only lose two losses. I mean he he could only lose two more games That seems unlikely if it. But i think it depends on where those games are too. See him go. I mean the best. I see him six and i tell you this ball book. It they're gonna beat kentucky next week for all the reasons that guy. Tony who just called you. I don't think e. kentucky is a school. That has the football class. They should beat lsu. And i hope they do. Because every loss is a nail knows co coffin. But whenever you need kentucky to do something they flop. And i guarantee you. They're gonna flop this weekend but there's no way we're going to beat arkansas. We're not going to beat ole miss. We're not going to beat bama you're right anthems aucoin flip but you said paul it's in scott woodward hands right now that's why he's getting paid to all of you. May you may laugh me off. I i think scott woodward knows what he's doing. This is not some robotic athletic director. Who is listening. Who's in danger of losing his own job. He's not he's safe. Scott woodward is a very powerful figure down there and he he won't need a weathervane To see which way the wind is blowing. Let's let's continue with more phone calls. And john is in kentucky. I hate john. Go right ahead. Hi doing paul Thank you for my call I was gonna ask you What do you think. Kentucky's one of kentucky's biggest flaws is going into next saturday when they play. Lsu what we just heard from the last caller it's not getting ahead of themselves and you know. This is a quintessential sandwich game. It's right between florida and georgia. And and i don't. I don't think anyone looks past lsu Because of lsu's tradition and where it was just few years ago but it still. They're coming off their biggest win in one of the biggest wins in in in in school history. And it's difficult. I don't care who you are to bring a team down. Calm them down and then get them up again to play an important game. It's a it's a very dangerous game for for kentucky and that that's that's evidenced by the the line very narrow line you would think you would think florida Excuse me kentucky would be you know. Significant favorite over a down beaten. Lsu shooting but this game reminds me a little bit the auburn lsu game where everybody's everybody's blasting auburn and they go down there and win the the most important game they can't ro is up next in minnesota. Go right ahead row k. Paul how you doing today. We're doing great thank you. Hey i enjoy watching your show and just a couple of quick questions for you Number one i. Maybe i missed it earlier. But i haven't heard your comment or your input on the urban meyer video. That's gone viral of him at a bar. What do you think of that. Yeah i have not really said much about it. Because i don't know very much about. I know he apologized for today. i believe he was at a place that he is involved in in the proprietary Proprietorship so i it wasn't i don't think now somebody correct me. I don't think urban meyer. Just walk into a bar Willy nilly never never dull. I say. I think he owned the bar. Now here's the problem okay. i. I'm the last person. In america. To defend urban meyer. But were you when you are. You know if you own the restaurant and you're a public figure it and you really and you don't live there anymore. He lives obviously in jacksonville. You do want to be friendly with your customers in this case. He should've as as this was going on with this woman. He probably should've called time out but he didn't. And when somebody says to me over the weekend. I really thought it was a hoax I could not imagine that that urban meyer would've put himself in that situation. Yeah amazing that a guy as smart as urban can end up in a situation like that so the second question. The good news is by having everybody talk about the picture. They're not talking about a the job he's doing coaching the jags very good point. Very good point A lot of noise last week about coach carson firing the wide receiver coach which obviously seem very reactionary. A lot less noise this week which coach drinker which firing defensive line coach which seems just as reactionary to me. Is there a reason in your mind why that seems to be skating by well. No well first of all. There are a couple of reasons why i don't think that's the same situation Arson is in his first year. This was four games in and the situation in in missouri is. this is the second year and missouri. Just put up the worst defensive performance. I think i've ever seen by a legitimate team. I'm not talking about a a directional Fcs school i mean this is Missouri was supposed to be a contender at least for second or third in the yeast and they just had one of the most disastrous performances. I think they were looking for someone to blame other than the defensive coordinator who is in his first year. There came much ballyhooed by many people. And so it's a little bit different Hey thanks for the call. Appreciate it greg. Mcelroy up next. We will talk to greg about what he saw over the weekend. And what he sees for a number of programs moving ahead right after this.

"Address. Paul as the blind and i don't remember the last time i watched in miami offense blind and said that group right there. That's an elite group. If anything the miami offensive line in the last five or six seasons it's been a bit of a liability and going against the defensive line that features not just capable players on the inside but we'll anderson is kind of a standup outside linebacker. That can breathe fire off the edge. And that's a bad recipe knowing that your quarterback might not be as mobile as was a year ago one. He's coming off the knee surgery. So i think this game is won and lost in the trenches and right now the advantage in the trenches that alabama has against. Miami's off it's of line is significant so i think this game could get sideways. I would be surprised if miami didn't try to utilize tempur early in the game to try to challenge alabama with their tempo their substitution and with it being week one no one. You only had nine padded practices. Miami probably thinks that that tempo is going to be able to be used to their advantage. But i have a difficult time thinking that they can sustain it through four quarters in game and ultimately in the second half after. Probably gonna be a little bit of an uncomfortable. I have i think ultimately in the second half alabama pulls away in distance from the distances themselves by at least two or three touchdowns talking to greg mcelroy. Two or three touchdowns puts me in an awkward position. Which one is. Because i'm watching that. I know i know why you're asking that while you're is how would say i would say lean towards three touchdown they cover that number comfortably. And what time do i call your nine hundred number saturday morning to get the rest of your picks paul depending on where your ad what time zone you're in. I think it could be fairly early..

"That that is just great. So everybody's getting the grills out and probably a are. We are ready to roll. Hey thanks for the call. Don is up next and mississippi. I don did not hear don so. I'll go to shane next in washington. Hello shane hey are you. We're well thank you. Law law longtime sec fan group in alabama live up here in pac twelve country. So i i can tell from these guys but played in the fcs system and now been longtime high school coach. So i love the expanded high school. I mean the expanded playoffs system. Because the i think it's just the best way to get a legit champion by only issue with twelve week or twelve twelve team is that essentially. What you're going to be doing is giving the four best teams and and really it's alabama clemson ohio state in some random other either oklahoma georgia a week off. They're already better than everyone else. You're gonna give them a week off to rest and rehab while everyone else beats the heck out of themselves and then has to go play these juggernauts so when it comes down to it you're still gonna have that same four teams playing for the national title every year. They need to go to a sixteen. Have i mean i know. They're not going to so it's just kind of throwing it out there but it needs to be a sixteen team. You know your ten conference champions or automatics because if you win your conference by god. Y'all have a shot at it. And then you're shane let me say. I think you make some really good points. But i don't think. I don't think they're going to be that radical. Hey thanks. I'm sorry we didn't have more of an opportunity to Flush this out but we are living. "Is make no mistake about it. It's the best teams are still going to win. The best teams are still probably be ohio state and clemson and alabama and georgia. Okay and i'm not saying the hope is warranted. That is well-founded that it's even realistic. But it is. They're not big. It's going to reflect its could rejuvenate a lot of fair basis. That have been kind of down here lately in my opinion. Yeah and and. I don't know how it's You know going views there. Coaching in a different light for some coaches. We put out a stat earlier that it had been into effect from two thousand fourteen on dan. Mullen would have made the playoffs about four times. How do you think that makes me feel that well. One was mississippi state. But right but right now guys like mullen who are among the top ten coaches in the country. They still don't have a playoff appearance so that really it will be good and bad now. There are some programs. That if you're a jim harbaugh and it's one thing not to make the playoff with four. But if you can't make it with twelve your your life expectancy will diminish greatly very true but maybe it should also well that that's that's one of the most obvious conclusions in college football history but Only apparently the two of us are the only ones who agree because the athletic director mishkin doesn't see it that way well. Nobody said that he was a great scholar anyhow. No that's that's hey thank you for the call right. i'm a professional cynic. I think most of you know that but and we're not. I heard this. I was my eyes were bulging but I think this is still one of the great weeks and football history. And i know we're not area but we are come on. Hancock was here earlier today. Saying there's still a lot of things. Go through. When people like greg sankey jack warburg and bob boles be sit down and come up with a conclusion after two years of study and then pass it onto the people that hired them to do the research. It is going to be accepted there. There's always like tweak or to. You may see by the time this goes through the system but there will not be many. This is the way it's going to be. I appreciate everyone calling in saying this is how it should be but the proposal that we have shared with you over these last two days is most likely the way it is going to be. We'll take a break. We still have plenty of time. Andy staples who was well. There's a couple of weeks ago advocating for twelve. he had pretty good insight into Where they were going..

How can you imagine a southern team having to come up here. of course. that's probably not going to happen because Alabama ohio state would would be ranked pretty high but it could happen You know you could. You could see it. I think i think i saw one of the models a couple of years ago. I think florida would have played at. I think at michigan a couple of years ago. So that i mean there are some intriguing possibility. I or maybe wisconsin but to that would. That's that's an element to the playoffs that we have never encountered it. It's always been the sterile. Dallas atlanta miami pasadena. This year the championship. I think is in indianapolis. Let's get back to the call here and barkley is up next in. Hello barkley get afternoon. REIGNY DAY FINALE
"All right big announcement. I told you there is an announcement. Maybe you heard. Maybe it would hurt. Because i think this probably only place. I'm going to say it. This is going to be the last rainy day podcast because i am abandoning zach. I'm abandoning the rain. And i'm leaving. I have taken a job In detroit or for the red wings and tigers. I won't be broadcasting games. I'm hoping to maybe keep doing that. But let's not get another personal stuff. Because i think it's better to burn out than fade away. Neil young one said. And so i know what you're wondering. Now who's gonna fill in In join zack. As he continues up these pains. And i don't know i don't know I don't know what will happen. What are you thinking right now. I mean i mean how could we possibly replace you It's been raining in ontario for the last year and a half. It's finally going to be sunny day without the rainy day. Podcast starting in twenty twenty one So bittersweet you know we had a great run. Here was excited to keep it going. But i'm looking forward to some some time away from the from the microphone busy good. This became a simon and garfunkel situation. And yes. I am. The paul simon in this group and will likely go on to be wildly successful whereas zach will have mrs robinson and that's about it as as far as his hits go. I'm moving on out. I will get into a few things in a sack. But i another thing. You're thinking as who's going to call the ring games. And i think it's gotta be used back and i know everyone's like well that can't call the games second kagame. He's never called a hockey game before bites little. Do you know zach as a matter of one time hopped on the mike in called. Play by play for the terreaux fire. Department verse d. n. y. Game and i have a couple of clips from that game to an active. Going gonna put these on. I'm going to put him on to just give you a feel for what's coming out the bye-bye now you guys may have you thinking. Wow we liked listening again. It was pretty okay on the games but it is. I think going to add a level of excitement. So here's just one clip. That i'll play now. Sixteen seconds left on the clock on panthers on. This is the most exhilarating game i've seen in my life. The sixteen bazan italians are going berserk. We had seven seven game. Twelve point four on the clock here at citizens business bank arena. What a saturday afternoon. Matinee team home crowd atmosphere s really pushed antero odd. Ny sdn y they. They might be a little bit rattled hearing this timid visiting atmosphere. S some there. I mean you future in this. I mean i'm used to calling games with sixteen or less people at them. So that's that's me up well to do this during a pandemic it's So that's one thing in my favor Like color man from that game is a one time rainy day. Podcast guest mas- mcelroy. I'm sure he would up and leave his current job with vegas come back and be the rain kellerman unpaid of course as you can tell by his performance in that obviously wouldn't pay him to do color I think he would probably leave in a heartbeat to that. So the tandems there. I mean the the obvious answers in place with myself on play by play nat color. So we'll see you know maybe Maybe i do have a few. Maybe though You know some other. Nhl teams here that call on this rainy day. Podcast they want me to call. Nhl games and the rain are still looking. I don't know you leave as well. Yeah maybe you know that could volt. Nbc job doc. Emrick guy retired. Maybe they hear this. They just kind of me up to that job So something to think about moving forward. So let's wrap up here. i do you know. There's a lot of people that i like. That i've said to so i'm not gonna do it here But this podcast has been an absolute blast. And so i do want to thank everyone who has lessons This is been a ton of fun of once. We got into the rhythm of it. And i think we did a good thing here with this. I'm really gonna miss call in the ring games like calling the game. Not being able to do that consistently is very bitter sweet. I guess it's just bitter. It's not sweet leaving bittersweet but calling. The game's not not being able to do that next year. It's tough But the just gonna be here. And i'm not going to get into because it's really not any your business you listeners. But i But i am going to miss all of you. I love doing this. Podcast and i love working for the rain and you never know. Maybe i'll see again. Maybe i won't But i just thank you for listening and we have had a lot of fun doing this. Podcast i think zach. Have you know. I have a lot of funded. Didn't really know what to expect when a lot better than it did. In our trial run in two thousand eighteen nineteen so is it was really cool to kind of see what it turned into to be able to have some really cool guests on some of our our players our top prospects you know sharing some stories and having fun. I thought that we took it in our own direction. Didn't care what anyone else thought. And i liked that. We had the chance to do that. Yeah i agree so again. Thank you to all of you. Thank you to our supporters of his reign staff year. And darren glenn we're We're big supporters and in the as well mike and kelly cheesman was big friend of the program we We always appreciated that support. But we're going to put this thing to bed. The rainy day podcast is gonna go out of the world just like it came in which is very mysteriously and very auspiciously. So that's how that's how we're gonna leave this zach good luck. I'm sure you'll work your release another month but i. I don't know maybe leave. Maybe won't be able to do it without me. I have kind of been You've been riding my coattails this organization for long enough. Maybe the time is up sharply in the local paper to try and replace that how we hire down these days just like a like a wanted like wanted middle aged five gaster with sas. I think you should open auditions open. Auditions zach a week long. Tweet year your audition at rain. Insider and i will be happy to listen to all audition tapes. That are tweeted to me. I think that's a great idea. Degraded him all right everyone. It has been a blast. We'll talk to you later. Maybe probably not for now is just goodbye.
Saturday at the 2020 Masters
"Saturday at the masters in dustin. Johnson is running away. He carries a four shot lead into the final round sunday. Following a seven under sixty five saturday he was masterful tying jordan speiss fifty four hole record chasing johnson on the leaderboard are sung j. M abraham answer and cameron smith all four shots back while justin thomas and dylan 'fratelli sit five shots back following his round saturday. I called up with dustin johnson. Seven hundred sixty five news. Dustin johnson to sixteen under through three rounds. What did you do well saturday. And what if anything would you like to do. Better sunday I did everything while today. Adrover very nicely head. A bunch of fairways Hit a lot of greens and felt like i. I gave myself good chances on your on almost every hole. and so. that's kind of what you gotta do here. In the conditions. Not a lot of wind you know. Courses is fairly soft so you can be aggressive and Strike in a very nicely today And so you know tomorrow. We'll have to go out and do a lot of the same if i to win. Tied jordan speeds fifty four hole record. What's the balance between staying aggressive and not being dumb Well for me. It all depends on you know. Flag positions numbers Forgot a good number. And and i like the flag is a play aggressive but Like i said the course right now is is very receptive so you know i know the guys behind me are going to be trying to chase down south. You know you can't play you know there's a there's definitely a fine line of being too conservative and too aggressive but you just have to pick and choose my spots second last year. How did that impact your motivation. This time around. I mean yeah it was. I've played well last year. I played while the last couple years so obviously this one tournament that that i definitely want to win and you know. It means a lot to me. A- grew up so close to here and so it is something that i really look forward to until tomorrow is going to be a. It's gonna be a lot of funding. I'm gonna try to enjoy myself as much as i can and Hopefully hopefully outcomes good tomorrow afternoon. You heard dustin johnson say right there how badly he wants to win the masters. It's the dream of every player in the field in this eighty. Four th edition for more analysis on the third round and what to expect sunday. Let's bring in the voice of masters digital jimmy roberts. Dustin carries a four shot lead into sunday following a seven hundred sixty five saturday. He was masterful. Tying jordan speiss fifty four hole record assess his performance on saturday. A great it was basically as good as you could get You know you said it. He tied the fifty four hole scoring record. It is a different time of year. But i don't think it really matters. I mean the thing that sticks out to me is that you know through fifty four holes. He's got two bogeys which is unimaginable. On this golf course and they were in consecutive holes. Fourteen and fifteen in the second round. And when you stop to think about it he bogeyed the second easiest hole on the course which means that by all rights. He should probably expect to birdie the fifteen th hole. You give him two more strokes and he's just farther ahead of the pack. But i will just say this. I was here in nineteen ninety six and i covered that masters where greg norman had six stroke lead and nick faldo came back to win it so i mean this course can do things to you i mean. I think that there were extenuating circumstances that year. Norman had some physical difficulties. That didn't manifest until the final day and faldo played effortlessly. I think he shot sixty seven It's gonna take that for somebody to beat him tomorrow Somebody's going to have to play really really well. And he's going to have to stumble. What is it about this golf. Course that suits his game so well. Well i mean at this point really. He's the number one player in the world and he's as they like to say in europe he's on form so you know. He's a finely tuned engine right now and He's not even close to the red line. So i mean he is just got it all going on right now. I mean he's you know. I always say that you know. These are the best golfers in the world on on a week to week basis. You know you shouldn't be surprised if somebody you've never heard of comes up and wins a tournament because they are all remarkably talented. But he's the best of all of them right now and he is playing really well You know we've talked about this over the last couple of days. He you know he's long and straight which is tough to beat and then a couple of years ago. He decided that in order to get better you had to work on his wedge game so he went and did that he's become a terrific putter and he's completely unflappable. He i think. And i think that's the most important thing i think he's a guy who just does not get undone by much. I just asked him a few moments ago. what's the balance between maintaining the aggression. That got you here without going too far. Yeah i'd i'd be curious to know what he said but in all honesty. I've never seen him loses. Temper made him. I've never seen him hot. I've never seen him running hot. I'd seen him disappointed disappointed. And you're not going to be able to see this on the podcasts. But you know it's just kind of an shucks wish i hadn't tripled that whole crazy when i do. Something you know like that He's really he's a talented man. Who's in stride right now and You know he's done a lot He's one everything but tons of majors. I mean he's tiger tiger woods. He's one in to start his career. He's won thirteen consecutive seasons to start his career. Only tiger woods is done that and he tied him tiger actually one in his first fourteen seasons. But i mean he just consistently wins you know and it's hard to beat talent you know and worth work ethic when you match those two things together. It's very difficult. Let's look at the leaderboard. That is chasing dustin johnson song j. m. abraham answer cameron smith all four shots back. Justin thomas and dylan for tally. Five shots back if you were going to pick one to catch him. I don't think there's any question. The person who watches is Is justin thomas. But the way sunday m is playing and things are different now than they used to be. You know it's been forty one years since a first timer has one here that was fuzzy zeller nineteen seventy-nine. You know i was with the jack nicklaus this morning doing something and He talks. Jack came here and he didn't win for the first five times that he played here. But this is a course more than any other course were experiences necessary. But look you've got answer and in two players who were here for the first time in their you know right nipping at his heels Sebastian munoz too. So i i do think that must not be worth as much as it has been in the past given the level of talent and work of these guys but you know you give me a guy who has the experience and a guy who doesn't of equal talent and at the same spot in their game. I'm gonna take the guy with experience at this place every single time. Rory mcilroy and brooks koepka. Both superstars both at eight. Under after three rounds. How plausible is it that they might contend on sunday. I think it's entirely plausible. I mean i think that you know mcelroy's trending in the right direction after that seventy five in the first round which was disastrous for him. Just can't seem to get out of his own way sometimes but he's got a game. That's ideally suited for this place. He hits it high far and straight. His natural shot is right to left You know he's been number one in the world he's not undone by these big situations. Generally i think he's going to be a very interesting guy to watch tomorrow. But in all honesty there's so much daylight between dustin johnson and the rest of the field at this point and it's not the daylight of four strokes. It's the daylight of four strokes with the number one player on the one side of that daylight. Who's playing well. And i mean. I think it's gonna take dustin johnson shooting seventy two or three tomorrow. I mean i suppose it could happen. You know greg. Norman shot seventy six. Nick faldo shot sixty seven That lead had evaporated by the tenth. Tentpole the eleventh hole So you never know. But i would be. I would be shocked. But i remember being augusta national in in One thousand nine hundred ninety six and remember all the stories that we were doing. And i did a story for. Espn that night. And i said you know it would be shocking if greg norman didn't win but if he doesn't it will be one of the biggest stories and we won't soon forget it and here. We are all these years later. Talking about it at augusta national right now.
Bring on the snack cake cereal
"Welcome to the Empty Bowl might name is Justin mcelroy and I am a serial enthusiast. My name is Dan Gilbert and I am a serial ethnographer in the sense that I know the cereal culture in the overall breakfast. Zeitgeist well enough to understand the impact of some of the stories we're about to talk about today. that's. So exciting we have so much going on this first news story Dan. I have to tell you. I'm thrilled over here over on this end. I mean it's huge. It's absolutely. Substantial. So. When you write about serial for five years I have inevitably you end up seeing some of the same things again and again, and one of the easiest things to do when you're reading about serial is to tell the world about the weirdly specific cereals that you've always wanted to see on shelves and for me Besides gingerbread toast crunch I think the second most idea of cereal I've ever had would be a little. OATMEAL, cream pies cereal, and now we must wait no more as Kellogg's has partnered with the snack brand to bring oatmeal cream pie cereal two shelves later this year. What's IT GONNA look like? So so from appearance alone, it doesn't necessarily look like the sort of sandwiched cream, an oatmeal cookie. Snack cake that you're familiar with It looks more like a brown oatmeal ring cereal, which is fine. I'm not really in this for appearances so much as the legacy of the snack taking question. You say, what did you say that the cream pie is your favorite little w product It's up there with cosmic Brownie alum that plastic chocolate on a on a cosmic Brownie I used to get star crunches a lot when I was a kid in my lunch bag but I don't like those so I don't know why I felt the need to tell you that but. You know it the for me. I'd say it's a three way tie between the oatmeal Cream Pie the double decker oatmeal cream pies. Distinct feast and the fudge around, which is essentially just a chocolate oatmeal cream by but overall I, think the oatmeal cream pies and amazing snack product. It's probably my go-to whenever I am Matt a gas station stopped long road trip. So I'm very very excited to see it come serial form. Especially, it's going to be a thin line to walk to get that exact flavor because as I, discovered recently. Raisins are in the battle of the bill cream pie. It's sink. Yes. Yes. Yes. Raisins in the OATMEAL cream. Pie. So that's why like you get that like is what gives it its distinct flavor is that there's raisins mixed into into the batter period into the better so. That will be a tricky flavor to to nail. Think I'm really hoping that mine is not the only mind that you've blown with this revelation right here because I did not know that at all I mean. meanwhile, I was just hoping that this is an actual oath based serial rather than some some sort of corn contraption because I think it'd be really an authentic otherwise but. I think my favorite thing about the story overall is how you just know that someone at Kellogg's saw post team up with hostess to drop the sort of twinkies, etcetera cereals, and immediately thought. Get Little Debbie on the horn. We're not going to stand for this sort of force that cooperation to happen. Yeah, it's funny that you mentioned cosmic brownies actually because when the story first broke before, it became official from Kellogg's themselves There was a youtube video of someone reviewing the little debbie cereal or oatmeal cream pies cereal before anyone knew about it and they were also reviewing cosmic Brownie cereal. It was weird because they had the box for Little Debbie oatmeal cream pies cereal but they didn't have any official box art for the cosmic brownies cereal and the stuff really kinda looked like the cocoa puffs Brownie crunch that rerelease not too long ago. So it's very uncertain. The legitimacy of this cosmic Brownie cereal because after the news officially dropped I reached OCTA Kellogg's my contact there and ask them about this and all I could tell me in the Vegas. Possible terms was that a cosmic brownies Syria was not releasing at this time. The seems like a tacit confirmation that cosmic Brownie Syria was at least considered whether it will actually be released or not or if it was scrapped entirely remains uncertain but the point remains that we're entering a brave new world of snack cakes, cereals and I'm all here for it.

Top 10 University eSports Programs & Facilities in the US
"Three FBS programs currently own four consecutive conference titles one Clemson and the ACC to Oklahoma out of the big twelve three is okay apps state you got it as a son about what does that say about the evolution of his mountaineers football program you know it it tells you a lot about the shape they were left in by Scott Satterfield in the you know when drink which took over as the the the main man there and I think you just look at the talent they have accumulated during ten Evans of running backs that Thomas a quarterback in the tradition the their defense is playing great all the time I really like the way that program is three sooner suspended for the college football semi final against L. as you were talking about the fence van Ronnie Perkins running back mark remonstrate Stevenson and wide receiver Trajan bridges these are significant players impact on Oklahoma team that was already an underdog going into this game well Stevenson had a large yards per carry but really their top back down the structures can be broke so I think to be okay at running back I'm concerned about Perkins known because if you look at Oklahoma's defense their strength this year has been getting to the quarterback thirty five sacks among the nation's leaders in TF bells and Perkins right on the at the top of their sack leader so taking him on the line ups gonna hurt and you're going to have to put pressure on Joe Berle because Oklahoma secondary is not a bunch of NFL draft expect their their third good but they're not great quarterbacks can't give brought a lot of time so they're gonna have to generate something speaking of getting after the quarterbacks are chase young is caught on camera when asked about returning to Ohio state saying that's the plan much was made of that response considering that what he's done this year sixteen and I have stacks can you see a scenario where he does not turn pro I'm gonna go ninety nine point nine percent chance no way this guy's coming out probably going to be the first pick in the draft the only thing he could do by coming back is cross themselves some money because right now he's as hard as they could be no he's definitely going pro you think you'll be the first pick in there you think you'd be picked over a quarterback not a quarterback says yesterday you probably draft a quarterback but he's probably the most talented guy had then do it at the most sure thing at the number at the number one spot so he'll go number two and get a lot of money all right the next group of talent to the college football ranks top recruiting classes in E. S. P. N. a ranking those classes of course the powers like Clemson Alabama our house they know less you right there as the top for you got a team like Texas a and M. that's in the top ten Texas rounds out the top ten but how did the mid tier non power five schools even some of them in the power five conferences that are on the tat back into those conferences how did they compete if the rich continue to get richer with those talented classes well the main thing they have to do is develop the players and win games because the kids don't realize the past ten years ago they realize what's going on now and if you can get your team up there and that can win level every year ten eleven wins then I think they'll take notice and you can get my keep in mind you can only sign twenty five players every year there's a lot of talent out there so you might not get the five stars in the four stars but not every five star four star turns out to be a star and not every two star and three star doesn't I mean we see a lot of superstars there so the main thing is developing the kids and winning games good point he's ESPN college football insider Phil Steele Hey Phil bowl season is under way I'm sure you're excited we look forward to talking to you throughout sounds great Jim and livid Jerry holiday and looking forward to a lot of football this week hi Phil merry Christmas take a self thanks all right so we mentioned Perkins Stevenson bridges out for Oklahoma another sooner sidelined as well that safety delay Aaron and Turner yell broken collar bone he will not play as well on that chick fillet peach bowl December twenty eighth against top ranked LSU the game in Atlanta easy trip for fans from that ruse leading Greg McElroy to this take regarding that by you Bengal

McIlroy wins FedEx Cup, biggest payout in golf history
"Mcilroy smooth fifteen million dollars today when the tour championship for the second time in four years and that fifteen mill that he wins for winning the fedex cup. That's the largest cash payout in golf history. How's it going kepco was right there again till the end he bogeyed a couple of holes in the middle the back nine when roy birdie didn't that was that was a big four-shot swing so congratulations roy because he's getting a little short on cash steve with with the small little endorsement daily as he was the guy that was complaining kinda going <hes> salmon up the stream on the p._g. As new game plan here learn how playoff will work and going into the final tournament of the year that justice thomas starting with a minus ten like he's minus ten on the first i hole of the first day and that gives them a ten stroke lead on the guys at the bottom and so roy mcelroy is actually quite outspoken about that. I wonder if he's going to feel that way when they hand him that novelty cheque right now for fifteen million dollars
