"He's sixty six eight now and he's he's he's grown so he's a six eight and he's a freshman and you know if he can get to. I think he could be like really really good at gets like six eleven as a big mess. Six ten even as a as a stretch five stretch four thinks. He's yokich like that so he tries to play like a but he's a really good shooter off. Good ball handling. He's just not very quaker explosive yet. You know he's kinda still growing into his body. I think if he stays at six as can still be a really good player. It's just gonna be a different kind of game for him. you know he just. He can't be like luca type. I feel like. I mean he could like look really long arms. Like lucas bigger. I mean like you know six. Yeah and lucas. Like six eleven to so like jag. Jack gets up there. Like he's i feel i also think like jack will grow into his body and he's gonna be he's gonna be. He's already really good. But once he grows into his body interested to see like how he moved his outlet. Assume you know what what kind of takes over. He's playing over at west for ferrara is coach He's get them and he's he's going to defend in rebound and do whatever burbs yells at him to do agile Mcgee kick is hassle. I'm nice to him but also kick his ass all the time announcing play. But i'm always. I don't really like yell at them like that autumn. Sometimes i yelled much of their open gym the other day. I'll just watch them. I added them a little bit there. But i don't. I'm not too hard on. Woody allen about what is what you have to get him but he sometimes doesn't play hard so i pointed out he he was acting tired and i say you don't play hard enough to be tired Stand up straight. Keep keep playing and he ran back on defense and did all that kind of stuff we used to have a. You can be tired. But you can't play tac right but it is interesting on. How even you guys you're around it your own way right like you think you're playing really hard like man heart where you're gonna college like holy shit these days so much martyr crazy. It's completely different. Like giving bodies gains speed but different bodies to they hit you and especially in your legs league like that grown men in your leg guys from wisconsin. Here's nudging where the basketball for the Hawkeyes top of the key looks left gives it up. The Bohannon Bohannon slides right feeds McCaffrey and Patrick McCaffrey drinks it outside top of the leg. Dobson inside a nun, gee down low turns around Horses up a hook. It won't go on trade. Gallaway comes away with the rebound. Galloway across the timeline, slice of right in the Delaney goes, puts it up, misses the shot, but he draws the foul and Patrick McCaffrey gets nail on that personal that will be his first contest. Nice job there by train. Really nice move. I don't know how much contact was there, but you got to make something happen by driving to the basket. And I will say even though Indiana has struggled offensively, man, they have been aggressive attacking the In here this afternoon. So Galloway will go to the free throw line and trade misses his first attempt of the game, and he's He's not missed in Big 10 play and held that one right there. He was three for three on the season eight of nine overall on the year sandy knocks that went down. There is zero space between the Indiana defender and the Iowa basketball player out beyond the three point line is exactly what we talked about. You've got to take away the three point shots. In Indiana has done that. Iowa on almost three minutes. Scoring drought. Air Fran McCaffery still not happy with the officials as he talked to Bobrovsky as that time.

What a Buddhist Monk Learned from Nearly Being Assasinated

"Thank you for making time for this. Really excited to talk to you. I really. WanNa. Hear your story because I've read a little bit about it and it's fascinating. Can you tell me how you first encountered Buddhism? Yes the first time I encountered Buddhism is in nineteen ninety. Lift to Uganda in nineteen ninety as students. Still mean for not fair Housing Need Gun Die Scholarship to study. INDIANA. Headed the government of India through in Yemen, extent culture program is going to pay for me to study in India. Business. That was excited. I didn't know anything about Buddhism, but the only thing that is connected to bosoms what Gautama because we studied history about Indian personalities like Mahatma, Gandhi, end Gautama Ferretti that good Mohsini Buddha. So good time. I have ever happy faintly and my story. So when I went to India I. did not that even the religion could Buddhism philosopher David so I just went to study business and until nineteen and arrived. I'm because when I arrived India, they had this strike. And then we we didn't go to school. We did started this school immediately. So then our putting a hostile where there are some people who looked very slim doing and. They have shaved head the they are putting on robes or rose. To say hello to them. So I went there then I sit hot one and the ad it beaming smile had. Happy so we became friends and in A. Long Story Short, the me into the temple I should dig would ask you then they told me about Buddhism there that Buddhists and the they told me don't take Dina just delighted breakfast. Assault then they are the ones who really told me that yes, this region called Buddhism and it took me to the temple for the first time and the temples. Good. Assure the hand. I should be behalf either in Chattanooga and that's when I I really got to know that a temple. So that's how I know about what is him but That Buddhist people edited and those most just wanted to be friends with me. I wanted to be with him and Cindy. GimMe Food they give me a minute things slowly slowly they stop telling me about. What they believe in. On time I went to Brahma, cameras, we just the boost people, but is meant tradition. The told me that debilitate Bra Mars. And I had seen one I was quite or the time in the evening Tony Oh I asked him you. Calm and peaceful way. Have you good evening? He told me he goes to meditate or. Meditation then I went there admitted with Matas and then they have discovered this that you focus on lucrative. And then you really meditated breathing in and breathe out but his commentary, right so your story piece food. Your Com nobody can destroy you. So when I finished that a mid station, I went to the monks again I told them that that'd be meditating this. Who told you to meditate thought that some of the WHO's Viacom common peaceful and told way can meditated. Then I told him what I've been doing the told me no, no, no. No you should meditate weapon go deep meditation, and now doesn't fuss time to get to know what meditation you good. Mom told me the best meditation Vision. So then I to know mutation literal. So from Buddhism. The most yeah. About Communication Gorby. I know you were raised Catholic. So, here you are in a completely different country encountering this religion for the first time a religion you didn't even know existed what about Buddhism and Meditation spoke to you given your history why was it so appealing this practice send this faith. Actually for me into the. Lack. of Meditation when I went to Meditates it was no Malini evening and then I was so stressed out in India, it's hot country I was eating hot foods and I was looking for Chatchai filled to see. Every time I went to look for because I was McCaffery those no jet unfunded when I go to the judge, this was in Hindi, a language that I don't understand. So now we're not going to judge there I was going. To check. So that. Good. That back. Then I believe like that. So now every time I go to check ECHINACEA the English obvious or gotTa salaries so which is my language I was just going to judge People just talking a foreign language and literally I said. This people have also religion could Hindus I to do what they believe in and then slowly by slowly when I went to. The fuss medication do not even a Buddhist one I did a Hindu meditation. So I sat. And mid I feel so much. More peaceful than me. When I was in chat, you know in chat sometime of silk can now is it new? Don they're going to pray things? So but that's a short time in a judge acquitted my bring. But when I was in meditation, I told really give any and. When I came out, it was so peaceful and relied rest of amongst the win admitted. "That that's another. That's another great tip. I know one of the things that I've seen in my own business to like if you're if you set up a a funnel and you're going to offer somebody something and then you're GonNa know give them what's called down cell in the industry right now you're gonna they don't want it this. Bryce YOU WANNA offer to low price like it's super key that you not just have the exact same thing at a lower price that you at least remove something or give them some reason why now all the sudden it's less expensive. I see a lot of more marketers. Make the mistake of. Oh you don't want it for this price while I'll give it to you for this price with no reason and it's like well. Why didn't you just charge me about in the beginning like yeah? That's a really good. That's awesome I love that and you know another thing that I do. We do a lot of times in launches is if we have Three different packages like him. A basic package you have you know an intermediate package and then you have like a VIP which is the most expensive and we always put in. There is the most preferred which it is. And that's how you can solve using that language and putting it in the middle and having the other two offers on either side and making a little bit bigger and putting most preferred we sold. I think it was like seventy percent more of the of that high price thing than we did the other two because we use that language. Well you know and this is one of the reasons why it was so looking forward to having on the podcast because like all the things that you're talking about our lake really they're bringing your things to market with integrity right with with like really thinking from an integrity perspective about what you're doing and realizing that again like you were saying you know like you were kind of. I think alluding to earlier is that there's people that are buying these things near talking about. The investment part is our actual real people with real emotions real desires real feelings. They're just names on a list. They're not just traffic. Sent to your site like there's people behind there and that's what really struck me about the things that you do in your company in in what you talk about in your emails and especially with the system so awesome. What's the next one I next step? Is that five. And that's mark. That's mapping out your marketing path. And what I mean by marketing path is when you wanted you a launch or when you're mar mark creating a marketing funnel you have to market in a specific way so example. You're selling Let's go back to our course. Selling course okay. Now for US depending on the I make a decision based on two things I base it on what I most comfortable with presenting and also on On what The price range of what it is that I'm selling so I'll give you saw. I'll walk you through what I need. So let's say that you were selling a product that's nine ninety seven while in my experience just selling that straight to call to a cold audience through marketing. Funnel is difficult and so I think words just going from like landing page to a thank you up upset by synchronized ninety-seven so in my experience you have to have some other kind of in their visually. So you know like some people will go from an opt into a but up sell but to get on my webinars and on the Web Nari. Solomon I Ninety Seven Day And and another way to do it is Jeff Walker has a whole four video launched system which you can do for nine ninety seven products so there are many ways to you from stage. I mean there are many ways to until market or launch thing and also. Some people are not comfortable with video so seriously you can go back to doing tele seminar. You don't have to do it on video. But what however you decide to the path that you WANNA take to launch your thing is important and what I use as my guy is from zero to about two hundred bucks two hundred fifty bucks. You can sell cold traffic just on a cold lead. Funnel right with no other touches than just up selling in using email. If it's over two fifty up to about twenty five hundred bucks you really need to get them on a Webinar or you really need to use videos or like docu series or something else And if it's over twenty five hundred dollars you really have to get him on the phone call. So that's kind of my guide that I use when I try to figure out what kind of work being half word. Those are great guidelines and then Step six is crafting. A compelling message so your messaging is everything it will end snapped one if you take the time to descend on a market survey and ask them questions. Those answers are going to help you figure out. What your messaging is going to be because you have to have seen when you doing a launch. You really need to have an art and like a scene to whatever it is that. You're you're going to be launching in a package and I always look at what the end result is so that and we've already figured that out right you already know what are whatever. It is work service or private at were selling and we already know what the offer is so we work our way backwards to figure out are launching strategy in are launching methods right so we figure out where messages that makes sense does make sense. Yeah so you have to look at what your end result is you work your way backwards with your messaging guy so that is from your your freely thing you free lead magnet navy. Something different from what is relatively selling so you can be ultimately selling Let's say you're selling course on obedience train your dog to be obedient will what you can do is you can take a piece of course and give that away as the lead. Mac. So maybe let's say teaching teaching one being to a dog like how to wait at the door that running out and then you get an in with the lead magnet and then get on a Webinar and then you sell them all arrested stock because the League back it has to be. It has to be related to the product. But it can't be the same sick if you're if you're giving away something for free and then you're just gonNa plus it with your course than the required everything you need. The course makes sense totally makes sense. Okay congruency like so you know. Things are different but they're congruent all the way through the process right and the other thing to think about your messaging is you. You have to build inner transformation so people you know when you sell them something. You're selling them in essence transformation because most people are buying to solve a problem that they have. That's probably about eighty percent of the people are buying all problem. The other twenty percent are buying something self feel good. So that's why you see a ton of marketing out there in a whether it's you know online marketing or you know our product marketing or whatever you know if you're selling real products like makeup or whatever all that stuff you're selling problems that that women have right. They have a problem with bag. Is Our problem with wrinkle. Whatever like they're all that solving a problem so you know what I would say when you're looking at your message you're looking at a transformation so if you're looking at helping someone transform their dog to be a well trained dog the transformation is you. WanNa take them from being wild crazy dog. You know digging up the backyard barking all the time being in obedient dog. That listens to you. You know when you're at the PRI- door that comes to you and it's called so you want to have that transformation at the end. Mid that makes sense it makes total sense. Okay and that has to be in your copy because that's really has to be the And a guy that you can use you know as story ran so if anybody. Here's familiar with Donald Miller's story ran is actually really helpful walk through resort process. That's I find that helpful. Sometimes in crafting message on an last step is rallying your raving fans now know some people. Don't put this Debbie End. But I think it's a mistake because raving fans or your testimonials so if you don't have rating bands if you don't have social proof it's going to be really difficult so your product or sell your course. Whatever it is that you're selling and I don't just talk about raving fans I love using another word decides testimonials. Don't ever call them testimony. Please is an industry term call. Shoutouts call them case studies calm rating. Been there now. It's not a testimony on the other thing too is look at other social proof. Social proof is not just testimonial it is also a so like looking at your sociation so on my website. I pictures of me with jacket. Field with Alex does in with all the people that are in my industry and that social proof because people are look at that allow. She knows that guy so immediately you know you're they think more like wow. This is really an expert. So unique things in your marketing and you're copying your launch that show. You're an expert and you don't just have to have pictures of you with important people you also need to have regular people on there especially if you're chronic going after regular person because you can have the opposite problem if you're a big internet guru in all you have is big other. Internet people that are like while you not. You don't have the regular guy hiding Highway can help me so I think it's really important to Have a variety of testimonials and also look at other social proof. You can use another good one is if you've been on any type of media. Put The logo out there. You know if you've worked with a lot of.

"I am Ben. Tastic I'm pretty good hunkered down like everybody else. At the present rate they extended ours. Stay at home order till the end of May here in Hawaii so ouch not gonNA be Doing anything anytime soon. I don't think but it's all good. I've been getting a lot of work done. So you know be able to stay focused. Yeah that's that's the name game right. Stay focused amidst the craziness. It is very very well. It has been very very key for me. I'm really super excited. You're here and what you're going to share with our listeners. Of what's the secret and maybe before we delve into the details of that maybe can just kind of tell everybody like a little bit about you? Know your background. What you're doing now that type of thing I am A. I'm what's known as a product manager saw like strategic marketers office manager. I've been in internet marketing for about thirteen years. Now I was a former corporate America survivor say. I was laid off of Youtube many times that I didn't like Came to me and said don't go back go back so I said Okay said come out. We built my business. You build your marketing business and the toy did what I did. I haven't turned back You know I love what I do. I love helping Entrepreneurs I'm focusing more and entrepreneurs the health wellness and healing spaces helping to build some amazing funnels and doing product launches and really focusing more on the online client experience. So that's a that's a nutshell. Yeah that's awesome. Well you know one of the reasons I wanted to have you on the podcast. This week is because we've kind of been going through What I call the milk at Method Market Idea Launch and coaching. And Yeah love it. Yeah and so. We're in the work in the launch phase of that we've talked about that in the last episode and so you know as a as a product launch managers specialist thought we could kind of dive into some of the strategies in thinking thinking that you have behind that that process. I know you. I know you have a system called the SOFA launch system which is a kind of a step by step process. So maybe we'll break that down and then I have some other questions I want to of Dig. A little deeper on your. I'm happy to I'll breakdown and please interrupt me questions or you. WanNa make some more than the. I don't want this to be one way. Combo here shooting on so he work myself. Oh Marketing System or SOFA LARGEST HIM ECONOMIC. Use IT FOR BOAT INTO SYSTEM. I created when I wanted and I still do my one on one clients. I do a full day with climb. Who's GonNa launch and I find that going through these steps once we have nailed down the launch goes waste router and we iron out a lot of all the king's ahead of time so the first step that is incredibly important as defining who your gene is or who your dream in customer is and you know for some folks. Well the hilarious. I always get people yard and all that. Yeah Okay so when I started asked the questions they really don't because it's not just about demographics. It's not just about people that are in a certain practitioner in a practitioner type of environment. It's not that it's deeper than that. And so you know what I always ask is. I want like for instance by example for what I off because I write down. I have a list of whom ideal client is. One of the things have on there is. I want them to have the same or similar values me you know and I don't think that a lot of people you know. Write that down would think. Oh you know that's important because I want to be on track goes like minded people. I want them to have integrity. I want them to be able to trust me as an expert in someone that can guide in. That can help them. You know I also want them to enjoy it really love investing in me you know and themselves for you know buying my products my services. Whatever so that's a big huge distinction in who you're finding who your customers are and who your dream clients. I think that's a really. Yeah I think that's a really great point you make there because most most people in most marketers I think. Just when they think demographics they think age income like very almost kind of impersonal things. And I really don't think about the you know the deeper level of that and because you can put that stuff in your copy you could put that stuff you know. That's the other song thing about it. When you start getting really delving into your who your ideal clients customers. You start to go down in the layers did it. When you end up doing a message in your launch a lot of your homework karate not just that you don't want to just focus on the demographics just wanNA focus on my psycho graphics. Think hundred set. Yeah yeah that that I mean that. In itself is an awesome to read out of the gate What's what's the next to the next step? Is You need to clarify your products courses or your services what I mean by that. Is You know some people that I work with are like Oh yeah. I know I'm going to is product and it's like okay. Well what is it you know? What kind of problems are you solving? Would be you know. Is this GonNa live is GonNa be you know? Is this going to be a membership is going to be drip over a period of time? Is it a one offs staying? Virtually as virtually I. You know there are a lot of things that need to be answered. Are you having do you? Are you going to offer bonuses? You know there's a lot of things that go into your your service or your product or whatever it is that you're offering and that's really important to make sure that whatever it is you're creating is going to answer a big and it's going to answer objections for folks so that you can make sure. Adele happy you invest in it. That's another great point so I guess you would kind of get that information by looking at your your target buyers your target market and just seeing what other types of content they're consuming. Maybe like what's out there idea. I like that idea I also we do something else. I if you already hot prospects or even four prospects. I would send out a questionnaire. Do Quick Survey are ask questions. I mean the biggest questions you could ask them you WanNa know what their biggest frustrations are. You keeps him awake at night. You WanNa know you know what their biggest fear is and what their problem is so that you can create a product and you can even run. Ask them like for instance. Let's say Tom. You're like oh I'm thinking about creating these four products was that you need a vacuum. Oh Yeah Tom do this one. We'll go out to your list and ask them they. Hey for things of the creating rate really were rate from most important least important which one of these you know that you find so that way you can gauge you that you know what your next product is off. That's cool. Yeah that's that's so right on point. It's so funny because like oftentimes overlooked at big thing right like the things in the face people say. How do you find that out? You just ask the people that you don't like asked him and let's say you know what they want. Oh here's another really good. I call it the client this week. And here's what I want to remote. Here's what I want to give them and I said well the challenge. That really don't want that like they want this other thing. So why don't we give them what they want and then ultimately after they invest in your bra? If you're going to give them with a unique you follow me Subtle thing there. "Quarterback back to Simon Scott assembly hall, were Indiana will take the Iowa Hawkeyes here tonight the Hawkeyes coming into this ball game with a seventeen five record. They are six and five of the big tat all five of their losses of come in league play but all five of their ball games for the most part of that against all five of their losses. I should say that against the outstanding team so far in play thus far this season. Are scouting report is always is brought to you by Nissan and Iowa's head coaches. Fran mccaffery now this night's ball club. They had a rough go. But last year they were just fourteen in nineteen and finished four and fourteen tied for eleventh in copper, explain brand has brought the same ball club, essentially, with the exception of maybe one or two guys back from last year and turn things around. They had a really good start to their year. We had a chance to talk to Fred about his wall club and his thoughts on this ball game tonight earlier tonight. Here's our conversation. Brad your basketball team playing really good basketball and a great win over Michigan. We can't play much better than we played in that game fish, you know, start to finish. We we've been really good most games, but we've had some periods in those games where we're not so good. That was by far most consistent effort at both ends. You're really getting some good play out of your veterans, Luca Garza. I know he's just a south more. But it feels like he's been there longer already does. Yeah. He's he's really stepped his game up. I mean, he he was the MVP of the two K classic. And you're really playing as well as we had hoped coming off surgery over the summer. But then he sprained his ankle. He was out miss three games. Played just a few minutes in the next couple of games. Now that he's healthy. Again. He's putting up about twenty points a game. And you put that together with Tyler cook. It's a tough to obviously, that's a big key for your ball club. Both online players, aren't they? That. And the emergence of Ryan cleaners do be able to rotate to three of them because cook was out for two games to road victories, northwestern and Penn State and create a really stepped up with both of those games. You're getting such good offense you play from his shooting standpoint from outside. I mean, just about everybody in your teeth knocked down to three. You know, and that's how we put the team together. And you always hope that that's the case. You know, I thought we had a great three point shooting team last year. And it wasn't the case. You know, we were pretty good. But not what what I thought we'd be Joey's camps big boost their bullheaded. Of course, you expect that he led the big ten in threes last year, but it's the other guys. Isaiah moss has really stepped up the bay. She daily nNcholas bears really having a spectacular. Fifth year. And that's made a big difference about your defensive play. You're looking like, you're playing a lot more different types of is in ballgames. We're we're gonna mix it. You know, we're going to place a man places own press a little bit change zones. Trying to keep the other table balance? And is so far this year. It's been effective talk a little bit about your impressions of Indiana. I really liked their team. You know, it's been a strange year for them. They were so good starting the season twelve into. But then you have a couple of guys out. You know, next thing, you know, you're you're losing close games. And you were winning close games as sometimes is the difference. Get their people back. Go on the road. And it'd be Michigan state was as you know, is really hard to do up there. I thought I thought their defense in that game as well. As our office was difference. She in this ball game for Iowa. Both teams want abroad. So you want to try to win the battle of transition. And you got to be able to defend that they've got some serious weapons, you know, with with Romeo and Morgan Davis agreed or back. I think some of the other guys are playing real Smith. I mean, they've got some pieces that are really playing. Well, that'll be able to contain the dribble. They're so good off the dribble. They've got speed. And quickness was going to be able to keep in front one. Final thought big ten this year. Unbelievably tough, no matter who you play. Do. I said that media data by far this is my ninth year that the best it's been top to bottom. But I think we're seeing that. And that is Fran McCaffrey has retired to them about this match up with Indiana tonight brand again and his ninth season with the club. He's had some really good years with the hawk is. And this is another one of those the seasons are scouting report is always is brought to you by Nissan court. It's the job of the defense to protect the rim on the.
