"The U. S beat Colombia to one to advance to a round of 16 matchup with Brazil on July 4th, 1994. Unfortunately, the US lost the Brazilians of one nothing and were knocked out of the tournament. One last time were joined by the New York Post columnists Mike Vaccaro, Michael, though the U. S lost on that July 4th, I think it can be effectively argue that the entire tournament was such a major win that had set the foundation for the 1919 I'd women's World Cup in America, which, of course, was capped off by the brandy, chest angle twin it all Yeah, You know, Soccer has always had an interesting history in this country. I mean, a lot of people who grow up in the seventies can remember when, when Palin and a great cause, most teams have filmed the Meadowlands and get 77,000 people in there for just a regular season. In SL game on any kind of faded away. But yes, the World Cup certainly kind of brought it back haven't digitized in center of the conversation. But I think that World Cup really kind of ingrained it in the that the pop culture mainstream, which I think is something that really helped it and opens popularity. And obviously, yes, that lead directly to a couple of years later, Brandy Chastain moment which wound up on the cover of every magazine. In the world, the cover of every newspaper in the world and really solidified soccer for what makes it most popular. I think, which is the fact that men and women are equally successful at it, and I think equally enjoy it. Like the car from the New York Post. Thank you so much for joining us. Well, there you have it a trip through American history and some of the moments that made us on July 4th through the years, thanks to our guests, Dr Robert Sanders of.

"Now I won't be that long. People who won't be that Long, plus you can google it as well, and you can find that new re recording that we played at the very top of the show. Maybe we'll close the show with that today as well all right. We're going to test our skype here. We had some problems. Last time we try to do skype when John decided to take a vacation day. Judge Jim Troop. Can you hear me okay? I can hear you just fine. What about you and me? It's a miracle at some miracle my. About. Yeah all right sir. All right I don't have our gavel here, judge so. So we're GONNA talk about the sort of. Blitz the radical left blitz that is going on and I mean folks I. Want you to think about this. You have got statues being torn down and nobody standing in the way of it. You have got a demand to change the language of the Constitution to make it quote gender and race neutral. You have got Joe Biden announcing that he intends to do away with. With single family zoning in cities and suburbs do away with basically to try to get rid of single family housing entirely. How does that grab you suburbs? You have got the assault through the courts on our voting integrity. You have a call for an end to the Electoral College in a Supreme Court case on point that and several waiting in the wings so it. It's it's endless. You have got a demand to de-fund police officers. You've got Republicans Asleep at the switch on Capitol Hill. You've got state Republicans. Don't know the power they have. Here's another thing you've got the governors of states trying to strategize ways to keep the news as tight as possible around the neck of business. Jim, you start where you would like to. Because it's so target rich, and this is all happening simultaneously making it difficult to fight. Well I think that. All of this points to what I said, in some in its employer shows which is. This is not about statues. This is not about the Electoral College. This is not about welfare, reform or crying. This is about a fight for the soul. Of Our country? This is a question of whether or not. We wish to have law. Or not. Whether an out, we wish to have a mob. Or a small group of people in this case small group of people. Force. A new form of dictatorship on us. And eliminate all of our rights. That's what is and I. Put it in those terms because every time I use the term communists. People. Because some reason, people don't even understand what happened in the Soviet Union. What happened in Germany? What happened in each in times? When dictators! Like. Caesar took off. But that's what they want. Vicki and so I was talking earlier today with a group, and I had said in detriot law in doing jury trials united many jury trials. I urge jury trials a judge and I did many myself. When you try to do in significant cases is you try to remind the jury that the issue in front of them? Is Not simply this defended. Or this business. What is in front of them? Is something much much bigger? That's why you always hear in in these wonderful closing arguments that are on television even. That they raise the question to one of our commitment. To guilt. Or Innocence. That it, the question here is much much bigger. Than, a stanch. The statue you know one can argue about or not I mean I don't think you can, but let's say you can, but you can't argue. That anarchy. The ripping down of our history. is not fundamental in unequivocally. That tomorrow they will come after you. Yes. They will they really do? Twenty to fifty million people died in the Soviet Union. Who Thought? They were just tearing down statues of the saw. They weren't. They were taking apart. Fundamental characteristics of society that they are in, and that's the issue here and then I hope because we are really really at a fork in the road for the fall wax yet, Jim our. Our story was talking with Dr. Carson about the American story. You need to understand the beginning of the story, the middle of the story, and where we are now in this ongoing story of America. If you don't understand how the country came to be so I saw today and I sent this to you. The Acting Superintendent Madison Schools said you know the declaration of independence wasn't for everybody. Yes, it was is, and we fought wars to make sure that it was. That's so so that if you don't understand the story of how this all began, and how it was the founders ideas that actually laid the groundwork, so that we could end slavery, so we could have a civil rights movement so that we could have a women's rights rights movement so that we could eventually advance. Advance ourselves to this incredible place in history that we are. If. You don't know that story in somebody substitutes a different set of of you know of information and narrative to replace that story. Why would you want to defend America? Why would you want to stand up and say this must be preserved, and the left knows that they've known it for for more than fifty years. They have actively been trying to change the details and the and the substance of our story, and they've done a pretty good job because if you talk to anybody any one of these these anarchists. It's like they are they have been. Their brain has been erased and replaced with Joss. Te wrote information. They're willing to repeat without critic. Critical. Thought at all. It's like a cult. It is a cult. Cult hit. And and of course they were the first ones to blame religion over the years as what everybody gives free, says a religion becomes government. It destroys people. It every crusade, innocence or kill. This is a crusade, and they're going to kill. Whatever's left in front of them? I found fascinating that email. that the District Superintendent sent out. Because what it said and many drawings don't know about this, so in Madison. The school interim school superintendent said email that said well as we discover independence day all you white folk. need to understand that it's really only a white person's holiday. See Frederick Douglas's comments on July four. Now I. Put it in those terms because. She is a Mora. What she should have done is she should have said look at the origin of Frederick Douglass, not in one, thousand, nine, hundred, eighteen, fifty two. But in eighteen, legal was eighteen, seventy, four or eighteen, eighty four when he eulogized Abraham Lincoln She missed the point entirely. Read the Eulogy of top Abraham Lincoln from Frederick, Douglass, when they made the statue in Washington because that's his ultimate statement. Of the greatness.

"Single-sex. Women's shelter. Trying to escape domestic bounce. And then he comes this man. Who says a woman well, that makes them very uncomfortable. They said they'd rather sleep outside in the fourth. and. Don't those people have any right and you know what what bothers me I don't see any of the women's groups. Coming to their aid. And and trying to fortify their rent I. Don't see it at all very much. So, it took an act of Hud to say yes. This is okay. We can have single sex shelters. Domestic violence shelters homeless shelters. We can do this because I. It's it's an important point. You're going to say that that one group a tiny tiny minority is going to supplant the rights of everybody else and it will I mean it absolutely just simply erases negates the rights of everybody else particularly in the case of women. Because I wouldn't go into a shelter with a man. If I were escaping violence from a man just wouldn't do it Dr. Carson I would I would find something else I'd I'd sleep in an open car something else. I would not do that because it's too risky. And what we've actually done, you know it. Allows the providers a shelter. To make the determination if they have sex segregated it pity. Day can voluntarily established a policy that will govern the missions. and not have some federal bureaucracy doing that, but. And the previous administration it's simply said. You have to take their word for whatever they are, and you may not consider anything. Yeah, or you will not be allowed to operate in utilize any federal funds whatsoever. imagine imagine that, so you're saying you guys can make your own choices. We the government are just going to step aside, but that it even had to take You know an actual rule like this is extraordinary. In America again you've got. Most people agree with you. Most people want to see this happen, but again to do this is to you know, be at risk of being accused of being transphobic homophobic anti feminist. One of the things that I think is important. To, point out is that this seems like a really simple rule change but this is some of what is going on behind the scenes that doesn't get a lot of attention to the trump administration where you do have this administration being willing to engage the culture war on behalf of conservatives and freedom, loving citizens, in America, and so to be able to highlight something like this, it seems simple, but know that this is happening hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of times across multiple agencies in the administration and that's important..

"Here's what I'm going to. Folks I am going to put that. Lee Greenwood Song the new recording. On My facebook page, which actually already there and we'll put it on the blog as well so check out the blog also I will link Senator Ron Johnson's interview. We're GONNA. Be Chatting with him a little bit later on in the program all right secretary of how of Housing and Urban Development Dr. Ben Carson is on my phone. Happy Independence Day early. Thank you for joining me on the program today, Dr Carson. Delighted. It's great to have you, so here's where we're GONNA start with your latest piece. That I saw and thank you for doing this. By the way it is a column that is in defense of American history in defense of the preservation of our story as radicals, Anarchists Socialists are attempting to erase American history through the destruction of statues. Or documents I saw just yesterday that there are professors now advocating for changing the language of the constitution to make it more woke. I. We need people in one with one voice to stand up and say this must end now. Well I think most Americans actually feel that way, but we reach the point where people are afraid to speak up. Why do you think the ramifications for that? You know the the PC movement has expanded to just more than verbal abuse. You can actually get physical abuse. You can lose your tab. All kinds of things can happen. So a lot of people have decided that it's much easier just to to cower in the corner and hoping alone, 'cause you a bad man, you know that's true and let the people who are doing this and willing to get you fired and willing to attack you in your car. If you make the mistake of driving, you know into one of the occupied anarchy events that are going on. They don't even understand what they're doing here in Wisconsin. The Hans Christian Hegg Statue which is in downtown. Madison Wisconsin the capital city, a noted abolitionist at grave risk to himself. Defended people nobody would was defending. I shouldn't say nobody Abraham. Lincoln was defending the Republican Party. Had many many abolitionists in it. They tore down the statue and I'm not GonNa Kidding you what this is actually on a facebook live video. The words uttered. Who is this guy? That so they tore down. They tore down that you. Who is this guy? Or typical, Just creating havoc and you know you you have to, you know. I've I've said this for a member of years now there those who want to fundamentally changed this country. And in order to do that. You have to gain control of a few things. The educational system so they can indoctrinate people. You have to gain control of the media. so that you can control the narrative. And, you have to gain control the courts. Well, you know once you lose. Control the court. What's left? Anarchy Kia. And you have to convince people. The system simply doesn't work. And, if it doesn't work then, maybe we should change to something else. And in the meantime you do everything you can possibly do. Make sure it doesn't work. You're right and they've got the education system and they've got the media, and in many respects, they've got the courts, and they are beginning to convince people that it doesn't work because we're seeing an unequal application of the law, we're seeing a breakdown of peace and order a breakdown of the rule of law. We're seeing an assault on our story. The American store if you don't understand the American story than what is this nation anything more than just a place where you live, and if it's just a place where you live, and there's nothing special about. About it, then why not change and that's working I mean we've had forty years of indoctrination in the public school system with social media. Now you have the mainstream press able to have a much broader reach an radicals from the university able to also have a much broader reach to control the Narrative I. Mean Our folks look at this stuff? And they think that if they speak out, then the and I think they're in the minority, and they speak out that it's it. It's actually potentially dangerous for them. This is a bad time in America. Where people are simply going to have to recognize that if you're gonNA, be the land of the free. You also have to be home of the brave. If you're not willing to stand up for what you believe that you're gonNA, lose it. It's as simple as that. And you know people need to be thinking about the children and their grandchildren and ask yourself. What is the outcome of the kind of activity that we are seeing now? Is it some beautiful nirvana where everybody lives in teeth, happiness prosperity, of course not. It never has been. And If if if people just engage their brains and start thinking Donna. And you know when it comes to renaming everything.

"Are GonNA, go down the income taxes. It's just a a a one cards here. That's still we starting to burn it right in a in a in any areas that are on the on the margins right on the bubble because you've always got some neighborhoods and they're. Either way it all depends and if there's a decent enough. Enforcement, mechanism for peace and order than those neighborhoods probably can survive, but if there isn't if you essentially leave them, you know to to the expansion of the mob mob justice than those neighborhoods on the bobble become neighborhoods that people start avoiding that impacts the micro economies of those areas. This is a rocket science. This isn't rocket science, but everyone's afraid to say something. How is there not one single powerful person in the entire city of Milwaukee? You're not one single powerful person in the entire city of Madison. Who is willing to say? Stop It. I, I've got awesome. People who are thinking about running for. A few years and they were thinking about some ideas. Now is the time when you help not in two years you know when when the elections actually we used to go out and do something for law enforcement. To show, they are accented back the good people. There are so many good people back. Law Enforcement, but everybody's a free decision of the racist or PAP supporting. You're worried about their houses. Inspire or something. It's an incredible problem. They were having right, not just supporting. You look at some. and Personal Yeah exactly and. This is kind of a good way to think about this. Sporting law enforcement doesn't mean you support. Bad COPs are bad policy. Just remember that folks and if somebody ever gets in your face, you say I don't support bad cops and I don't support bad policy, but I support the people who put their lives on the line for peace and order. Though that is a job I don't do that as a job. You couldn't pay me to do and I'm here to say Steve Thank you for what you did in your career, because I wouldn't do it. I don't have the guts to do something like that and I wouldn't do it for the amount of money I'd get paid to do it, so there's another thing is that it's. A CAR! And some of the other people we're the greatest the most noble of all professions. I can tell you I am proud to do that, but it's nothing compared to what these young on officers are facing now. This is total hell if it isn't how. According. To, watch pretty quickly here you know and I'm thinking. You also got to think of it this way. I would ask people to think of this way. Do you think there are percentage wise, more bad cops or more bad politicians? See I think that there's absolutely there's absolutely no nobody who would take the bet that there is a majority of people who are actually politicians who are who are on a good guy side. I'm serious I think that group. I think the good guys in politics very very small group of people, but on the if you look at, please the huge majority of police who do this for the right reasons who look upon. Upon it as a calling a call to duty service to the community and walk in walk through fire for it, that's the majority. The peop- that the number of people who are bad eggs small. Have you keep you keep lowering standards for recruiting? You're absolutely going to increase the percentage of of bad applicants and bad people, so it would be best if we didn't do that way you don't do that. Is You? Actually back your police departments and you actually allow them to do their jobs so that other people are called to the profession. Bad message to every government employees in Milwaukee. Firefighters ever move out. You can see the city is a drive through. Basically, the whole recite is just crumbling. Northridge has gone. A little way from K. can't dry north. This really static rupp Lachey I loved it great place to raise a family. It's not in more I couldn't tell anybody to. Move there and raise a family and actually become a place in walk. It's just not worth it. officers are being threatened, and you wonder why residency teams that's what it's because law enforcement, the only ones out there every day, and at the time with this is not your athletes, and our other people city and up see what's going on Inter Inter city trying to do something, and it's like incident and we got more officers with was crisp albums received because facing, and if the really based assault. And it's not GonNa, get any better. So far. What has been done to the police department? willing about two minutes left here. I'm looking at this story. It looks like you've already seen a whole shift of specialty officers that have been essentially moved off that shift and into. General rotation. You've seen the extension to twelve hour shifts. Things like that. What else am I missing? That is actually going to make it a whole lot harder to stop crime from happening in Milwaukee in the first place..

"On the phone with me right now. Steve is also an author. is also appeared on the show cold justice. I'm glad you can join me and speak freely. Let's start with the chief of the Milwaukee Police Department. He is saying well, you know. Maybe we should look at ways to define the police. So. That's maybe two hundred and fifty officers. He's talking about because that's the kind of cut that the agitators are demanding so when two hundred and fifty more officers leave after seventy five, according to j four have already either put in for retirement because they were eligible or just simply tapped out because they were sick of it. Who's WHO's left to patrol and police? The mean streets of Milwaukee. The mean streets of Madison because you've got the same problem there. Well you're you know in malices case here I mean he is the only one loss as far as I'm concerned, the city of Milwaukee that's doing anything about crime law share of clerk. Value, but he's been invisible and what we're seeing here is that nobody wants to police so I think Morales here was still got the backing of his lawn or officers, which is huge. He's starting to say some of the criticism from the outside and I wonder how long he's going to be able to stand also, he's clearly not a favorite of mayor. Barrett probably you know the most length mayor is seen as far as law enforcement the city and it's just. Just incredible the amount of stress that these officers are facing every day with the number of hours. They're working to Mohammed was. That's raising, and it's only going to get water. Share the weather. Just wait till the fourth of July Week and see the crime that's going to split in the city. Yeah, and you know what I'll tell you. What's going to replace the police? This will replace the police and this was just a story. That was a couple of days old. Community control right well. Community control set a house on fire because the community mob decided that they didn't trust that the police had done a thorough enough job of searching a house that they had heard. Might have been the location of two missing girls now the girls weren't there. Police searched twice, but the mob decided to fire shots at the House and set the house on fire. So there you go, that's what's going to be replacing the Milwaukee. Police Force or Madison the Madison Police Force. If not enough people want to apply to be cops. It's the culture you know. Vicky s exactly what it is. My friend American. Talk about it. It's just unbelievable. There's nothing that law enforcement right now to do with the numbers of people have been told the standard that certain types of. I know that over a hundred officers apply the. That's all supposed to from Milwaukee just to get out because that's also be hiring to fund positions on it at the medical college because of the problems that they're having out there, but you starting to. Veteran officers leaving and you're gonNA. Have nothing with young author Susan asked for the mistakes. And young officers young officers. You can't cream the crop though Kenya because nobody wants to make the application, so you can't say. You're okay, but I want the guy with a college degree or I want the guy that has a background as a teacher something. You can't do that anymore. Kit and we had to drop some of the standards or people into law enforcement the problem having Milwaukee dirty down two hundred and fifty tops daily basis any anybody in the police. It's just to the point now that they can barely respond to the calls that are coming in. They've got detectives on the front lines with the protesters. Kamisese clearance rate the last time I looked at under twenty percent. It's just an unbelievable. I never thought Milwaukee with. Get this fact. I've got. Where they're talking about moving times, fortifying their is is just an incredible story about how quickly this has diminished. So. Let's go back to the chief here so. Chief morale is who's who stands behind him. Who has got his back, is it the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel No, no anybody on television. No, is there any politician any political leader out there of any kind? No. So I mean. What ends up happening, is you you either you know you get worn down over time so I think he's I think what he was trying to telegraph in his statements was. Let me be the one to try to make the caught so that so that they can do the least amount of damage I'm GONNA I'm GonNa give him a bone here about that. But. He had the mayor or anybody else on the council standing up, saying anything you know who knows maybe maybe there could have been some resistance here again. Which is why there's a back the blue rally that is being done on Saturdays to kind of show all law enforcement in Wisconsin that they are supported You have the same thing happening in Madison, you've got. The acting chief doesn't want the job. Who's basically doing whatever the mayor tells them to do, and if that means order stand-downs. Even when riots are forming. That's what you're GonNa do and where does that leave the rest of us? Relief and you know once the I. Guess. The ordinary citizen loses confidence. I'm forced. To sell it crimes and not only solid prank, but prevent crimes for God's sake. You'RE GONNA start to have all kinds of problems and and I think that you're starting to see that now where people are afraid to travel west Ron's.

"Of Other people based on the color of their skin. There's your reparations and he's just to stuff out on and on and on, and you just shut them down. They'll keeping Mitchell start screaming, because not scare somebody on the right more than angry black woman, and that's the strategic part that would happen next. She starts screaming and shaking her finger and you know. All over the place and then people would run and hide under their desks, but until there's push by nicer form when I. When we hear, we hear so much now there's no pushback and the pushback. What would it look like just named what it would look like start countering the es come out of these people's miles. Yeah and and If somebody, does it? have their back. Don't go running for the closets because you know. The press is going to call you if someone actually does try to push back against these lives, and these are allies, these are lives. The slaves didn't free themselves in America. That's what the radical black lives matter. Movement thinks it isn't structurally racist. In this country Abraham Lincoln did not hate black people. You know there. Isn't you sleeping while black driving while black? That's not a crime. You don't have racist police officers trying to gun down on armed black people in masks swats across the United States. These aren't things that are actually happening. There's been fewer police. Police use of force incidents this year than there was last year fewer laughter than there was the year before. If you were the year before then there was the year before that. And to your point if you want to actually do something to help how come nobody seems to be bothered by the fact that less than ten percent of black kids in American public schools Milwaukee. Madison doesn't matter can read and do math grade level. Does anybody think that that is going to open up massive? Gigantic doors and gateways of opportunity nobody seems to care about the things that are actually that actually are in place in this nation that if anybody gets stuck in in those liberal policies of dependency, their future looks mighty bleak, compared to what would happen if they actually they actually tried to learn, did for themselves so I don't. Yeah another reason why it's important for somebody to accommodate nonsense is because it gets entered into the congressional record than all of the lives of the propaganda in the myth. That she proposes all entered into the congressional record. It has to be counted so at least an and that would be my response. So what good is GonNa do? Get in the congressional records. If it doesn't stick, nonsense doesn't stand by itself. People come later on in the congressional record, and then they start to believe anything that they read unless there's a counter argument, you have to counter this stuff. We sing that they do and say. That's one of the reasons why they WANNA. Get rid of Lincoln. It's because they don't want that associated with the Republican. Party the free freeing of this links, so they give it a Lincoln. And rid of all indicates what the Republican Party stood for in. Did the abolitionist movement? Didn't exist, so that's what coming after Lincoln. They could care less than Lincoln. Freed the slaves. They need that taken away so that the Republican Party chant claim credit and shame on the Republican Party for not standing up more on this issue. WHO FREED THE SLAVES AND Every time there there there are interviewed every time every place. They go ten you to say favorite. Say it and see it again. Yeah, we're the party of Lincoln. Lincoln freed the slaves. We're the party of Lincoln. Lincoln freed the slaves. Maybe even just opened with that There's a Kenosha back to blue rally coming up on on Saturday. Tomorrow at Eleven Am I. Don't WanNa Miss an opportunity to talk about this. Police forces are surrendering the Milwaukee and didn't think I was GONNA. See this coming from Milwaukee, but she had chief Morales. That let's talk about defunding. Maybe he can go through and help find some ways to quote. DE-FUND THE MILWAUKEE. Police Department. A ten percent cut would be two hundred and fifty officers at a time when there has been a spectacularly gigantic increase in homicides from I believe, it was thirty nine to seventy two homicides, and that's when I looked a week ago. I'm sure there are more people now dead in the city of Milwaukee, so you have law enforcement administration's. Issuing stand down orders. Madison you've got the Milwaukee Police is tough, and and he's saying well. Okay. We'll let me sit down and help you find ways to cut our police force back. So. There's not. There's nothing that anyone we'll do. That morality have put for. You? Want to look for some money. Look at the Milwaukee. Public School budget one point two billion dollars a year for all of that. You know your. Why don't we cut the budget of the Milwaukee? Public schools and fund all these other folly, said you wanna you wanNA chase after and leave the police along. He should not say well. Sit Down and we'll look at how we know. He doesn't have the resources that he needs now. Why would he go in there? And cut his own nose up trying to find or maybe he could. Give a little money here they got these officers work these ungodly hours working twelve at six hours ships. You can't get. You can't get any time walk, police. Suicides are up and we're walking. Police know about at. From their own of personal experiences offers committed committing suicide suicide among police officers, leading cause of death. It I'll pace his dog in the line of duty by other means and then also. The other thing that staggering about that in the profession, the only profession in the United States, that has an alarming rate suicide like doesn't boomer Morales talk about that what we're doing to these police, officers and not by. HUMAN FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE THEY NEAT time off. They need mental mental health. Treatment if you will ptsd for all the crap that they go through, that's the responsible. Morale is not capitulating to this angry mob already in two thousand, hundred seventy five officers have resigned or retired since the beginning of twenty twenty so you had seventy five officers say. I'm done and a story today at T. J. Four, announcing that this is anticipated to get even worse. As the months go by, and it's going to be just as bad if not worse next year, so please people come out to Kenosha at the Civic Park eleven o'clock it's the back Blue Rally David Clarke is the featured speaker at that. Eleven am in Kenosha tomorrow at Civic Park Eleven am. With David, Clarke in the back the blue rally, but let's get to Iona Presley IANNA. Presley you know the problem is? That if you call her a blathering, idiot, then you're racist and so there aren't enough in. Here's the problem. One person will call her a blathering idiot. It won't be fifty people. It'll be one that person will be called. That's now the sheep that decided to go stray, and we're going to sick. The wolves out after that one and so nobody's got the blank to call her the she lied in that segment, and what she said was nonsensical. So if she misrepresented everything that was going on in reality in America. Yeah you know. The the woman is a blabbering idiot. There's no doubt about that. She's adult while she was Santa up there and throughout some platitudes. Ball information myths propaganda. Anti anecdotal evidence of what's really going on out there and I would expect. For for a country. That's impressive. How did she make it the Congress? She had the opportunity and and response to it, and and this is the one thing that where people get into trouble, the response her from her colleagues on the House floor. You only can't call her a dope and a blabbering idiot, but they can call it a black racist and they started pointing out the fact that can say hey, look. We spent twenty two trillion dollars. In the black community over the last fifty years to try to improve conditions and nothing worse, because money's not the problem, we have feeling schools with ineffective parenting. We have failure to embrace education. We have fatherless homes. All of these are urban policies. Set up by failed liberal policies what needs to happen Madam congresswoman if we US go back to your community and help root out the cultural rot and the cultural dysfunction of the underclass. That's keeping the black community back. That's the response, but nobody's got the courage all right, and of course you know what would happen, but I'll tell you what Louie, Gohmert, tech a guy who would do it in what you call them. You gotta get over that. We gotta get past this. Call us this while the two who chairs darn it who cares start telling the people choose look congresswoman, whatever her name is Preston Presley. Cut The crap single into the rhetoric about everything that's been done. To improve how about affirmative action programs reparations were? We denied whites and Asians to get into some of the top schools. We've been promotions. White people.

No could just shoot me an email. Vicki McKenna at Iheartmedia Dot Com all right so. We've got a big back to blue rallied got David. Clarke coming up? I've got a retired Milwaukee police detective. WHO can speak freely? About the insanity of taking another two hundred, fifty, two hundred fifty police officers off the streets of Milwaukee. Two hundred fifty. Do it before convention. If you're, GONNA do it. Do it before convention, so we'll talk about that. The University of Wisconsin Flagship Institution of the University of Wisconsin. Madison wants to talk about the quote complicated legacy of Abraham. Lincoln that's right, folks. becky blank is entertaining. The students who are petitioning to have the Abraham Lincoln Statue. Removed from Bascom Hall right out in front of Basketball Hall. Remove the statue. Lincoln was anti-black is what they say he's gotta go. Here's some other things that also have to go the national anthem. The progressives are suggesting that we replace the national anthem with. John Lennon's imagine. And I am not even kidding you, so that's coming up on the program. This is just you can't ignore this and just say Oh. Those are just dumb. adulated college students. Because the adults college students are having an effect. Look how many corporations of already caved look how many politicians have already caved? But. Here's what we're going to start before we get to David Clarke. Because I'm dying to hear his reaction to this. This is Ion Presley. Democrat. From. Cheese I'm not sure if she's from Tehran or Beijing. Not, quite sure anyway. I honor Presley in the House of Representatives. Who made a speech about the Democrats? Anti Police Bill. The Republicans are not going to entertain a vote on. An oppressing listen to the passion, listen to the anger. And listen to what she says at the end of her passionate angry speech. Which would be great? If any of what she said were true. Have a listen here she is. Driving while black jogging, wobbly sleeping while black, we been criminalized for the very way we show up in the world under the harsh as far too many of my black body is seen as a threat, always considered armed centuries of institutionalize oppression will not be undone overnight for racism in America is structural as the marble pillars of this very institution with the power of the pen. We must legislate accountability. Dismantle the systems and move. Move in the direction of justice and healing, the justice and Policing Act is a critical step forward and I applaud the leadership of the congressional black, caucus, but our work is unfinished. There is a rallying cry communities across the nation black lives. Matter is a mandate from the people. It's time. Pay Us what you owe us are black skin is not a crime. It is the beautiful role of nation builders. Thank you I yield. It is the beautiful robe of nation builders. Pants which you us. We're nation, builders. The structural racism is as. Deeply embedded in the United States as the marble, the marble that the nation builders want to tear down. And pay us what you owe us. So you WANNA tear down Abraham Lincoln Statue. You. Want to tear down Thomas Jefferson. You WanNa tear down. Ulysses s grant you WanNa, tear down the abolitionist. Christian Hegg you want to tear down the forward statue in Wisconsin which was supposed to be a statue, commemorating the great strides made in women's rights. Progressive Statue by the way honoring those progressives honoring themselves all of these things that are being torn down you WANNA burn down cities. You WanNa. Tear down, police, you WANNA tear down. Churches and black lives matter the mandate a neo fascist. Neo Marxist organization that wants to burn down the family. They WANNA burn down education. That doesn't sound like nation building to me. Maybe I'm crazy. Maybe I'm just a crazy person who refuses to accept my white privilege, but the definitions of words actually matter and absolutely nothing that happened in Madison on Tuesday night, including setting fire to municipal building that housed juvenile inmates sounds like nation builders to me. The Guy who walked around harassing people with a baseball bat, and a megaphone wasn't about building bridges. And Justice and healing see in the minds of someone like Ana Presley Justice must mean mob rule and healing must mean. Destruction and pain and nation builders must actually mean nation, destroyers and black lives matter black lives. Matter must have absolutely nothing to do with a high rate of violence and urban communities committed by members of the urban communities against one another. But. Pay Us what you owe us. How much! You. This is the thing. If you're going to say pay US what you here's what I WANNA know. Can we just cut you a check? You Carping Harvey. and. You'll go away coming up sheriff. David.

So did Connor McKenna have coronavirus or not?

"So no one can we talk a bit about Connor McKenna, he's an essendon football player. And he tested negative corona virus on Tuesday, but he'd had a positive result over the weekend and he'd had an irregular test result a couple of days before that, so they weren't really sure which it was, and now they're sort of. It's looking like. Maybe he's fine, but I thought that it was way more likely that you'd get a false negative than a false positive so this. Is Not a great surprise in. You'd have to say that he has had the infection. He has been positive for covid nineteen, and it was accurate, because false negatives are much more common false positives. So what's what are we talking about here? So if you were to postulate, the comic has not been infected at all with the COVID nineteen virus. You'd have to say that the test. The day where he was positive was a false positive, so he was really didn't have. have any virus and the test falsely said that he did. That's extremely rare. What is much more common is the test doesn't show that you're positive. When you are in other words, you're carrying the virus, but the test doesn't show that you are and so. What Connor McKenna has shown a very typical pattern of people with corona virus. Is that early on in the infection? The test is either equivocal or negative, because he simply just don't have enough virus there to. To trigger the test, or the might be something wrong with the test early on then as more and more environment accumulates in your body, the test becomes more accurate, and therefore you know. He had some equivocal tests then he's scored positive. That's roughly around the time that you'd expect them to be accurately positive. And now he's scoring negative, which either means he's truly cleared the virus from his system, or he still has the virus, but the test isn't sensitive enough to. To, pick it up. Which is why he'll have more tests, so you have to say there's no confusion here. McKenna has been infected with the covid nineteen vars very typical pattern, so we possible it would be technically possible to see whether or not because you could do an antibody test if you wanted to. Maybe we're not talking about comic specifically here, but someone who had these sort of testing Patton. You could have a look at the antibodies and see if they. Had had it or not, after the fact after the fact, and well after the fact, it doesn't help you this week. It might help you in a month's time. True to get to the bottom of the affair, but at the moment antibody tests don't help you. You've got to go for the virus itself or the genetic trace of the virus so I. Mean you're making it sound quite cut and dried. Why are we still speculating about these wise and it just? Yes, he's had it. He should be an isolation while assume because. Team would love it to be. A crappy taste and he's never been positive all along and the and the one player who seems to have had significant contact with him is off the hook, and as a quarantine for two weeks and the team. You can get back to playing. I mean that's me being cynical, so there's there's a lot at stake here whereas if it's your granny. Important to your granny, but not necessarily to the community at large

What's use of hospice right now here? Is David? Thank you for all you do. Our Father passed away on March ninth. Not of the virus. He was ninety six year old World War Two veteran as a large family. He had seven children. We've not been able to gather as A. A family to mourn his passing, no funeral was allowed. His wake was limited to ten people in the funeral home at the time, which meant as a family, we still could not be together. We gathered small group of the family's spread out at Union Grove for his burial and had a twenty one gun salute. We know we are not the only ones feeling loss and confusion at this time, but we're happy that our father who fought major battles in Europe for this country is now in heaven with mom and not able to see this great country. When 'Branding First' Becomes The Only Option

"VERSUS SALES. Which one is more important debate? That has probably been going on about as long as businesses being around and at a time like this when a lot of us are in lockdown a lot of us are being forced to close businesses. Silence isn't really an option for us. So the only thing we've got left is branding now. There are some people out there right now. Though who do have an option you can choose branding of sales and a lot of people right now. I'm going down the sales route which is understandable because sales means revenue. You need revenue for the company to survive and so people are offering substantial discounts to try and encourage people to by. Now you know by now and you can carry that over book now for Your Hotel and it can be valid for six months twelve months after. But if you can possibly do it at this time if you can adopt a branding strategy the brand value the brand equity that you can build up in this time of crisis when people are in desperate need of help and when people don't have necessarily the money to be throwing around then. I think the long term benefits for your brand is substantial a great example of that came to my email inbox this morning from a guy called row and McKenna. Now I some of you will know Rohan. He's the CEO of Prima feet. Which is a supplier provider of fitness and gym equipment to the hospitality industry and that email basically said I know a lot of you guys are. Shut down at the moment. You'll gyms basically inactive. You need to make sure that you maintain your equipment. Now he could have gone one or two ways he could have said. Let me now sell you a maintenance program. When 'Branding First' Becomes The Only Option

"To day sixteen of the lockdown here in Malaysia. Branding versus sales. Which one is more important? It's a debate that has probably been going on about as long as businesses being around and at a time when a lot of us are in lockdown a lot of us are being forced to close businesses. Silence isn't really an option for us. So the only thing we've got left is branding now. There are some people out there right now. Though who do have an option you can choose branding of a sales and a lot of people right. Now I'm going down the sales route. Which is understandable because sales means revenue. Let me sell you a program that will cover a refresh. Once you open up again. He could have adapted very sales focused strategy to try and get some revenue in the door instead. What he's done is gone the Browning route and what he's done this said here's a free guide on how to look after your equipment that actually is going to bring to. I get we've got to survive and look siles is critical for a lot of people right now but if you count or more to the point if you can possibly do without sales for the next couple of months try and focus on your branding strategy and hats off to to ruin for that. That approach that brand I approach. I think it's pretty smart already. That is it for today. I do thank you for your time and I will be back again tomorrow.

The boy's bathroom turned it into an all genders bathroom, and now they have closed that bathroom after an eighteen year old rhinelander high school student has been accused of exposing himself. Now they've closed the bathroom until the police investigation is completed, the boy has been has been charged with fourth degree sexual assault. I can't even see how this could have happened right. A thrilling naval rescue off the coast of Nova Scotia

"When things start to go wrong on the open ocean sometimes they go really wrong really quickly. We make really good boats. We have state of the art navigation systems and we have all the emergency measures in the world to prevent disaster still. We don't belong there. The Sea is not our turf. And if you've ever seen a movie about a nautical disaster it's not that far off from reality about a year ago off the eastern coast of Canada. Things went really wrong really quickly. And all that state of the art technology wasn't working when that happens the boat and its crew can't do much outs but put out an emergency distress call and pray that somebody answers it and that those people are close enough to help and if they're really lucky at the ships that answer. The call are part of the Royal Canadian Navy and are prepared to undertake one of the most dramatic. Rescues that you'll hear about outside of a Hollywood pitch meeting. This is the story of that rescue. I'm Jordan he throwing. This is the big stars. Nick Taylor busy of Maclean's chronicled the whole dramatic tale. An hello first of all what is the McKenna McKenna is a forty nine foot yacht. It's called the Hanse four ninety five. It was on the inside of beautiful boat. I don't know a whole lot of boats but I saw some photos Of the cabin and it was decked out you could wash dishes on that thing you could sleep very comfortably and you could sail the high seas. It's a fairly rich person vessel. Yeah I mean it's the kind of you buy when you have some money to buy a boat. So what happened to her well The owner of the boat was named John Hagen. He's a surgeon who lives here Toronto. And he asked a broker who is in the area where he should by boat so John and the broker whose name was pat sturgeon Had A few conversations and they found the McKenna in Greece. In this Mediterranean port called left us their mission was to buy the boat and then find a way to get her to Canada. How do you get a boat to Canada when you buy it overseas? I mean I guess. There's an obvious answer to that question. Well Yeah I mean you you usually on the water but there are a few options you can. You can bring a boat over in a container ship shipped almost package kind of thing or if you want to maybe save a little money depending or have a little more flexibility you can hire skipper to get on that boat. Hire a small crew and take it where you want. And this is what he did. And that's what he did. So tell me. But the the captain and the crew and and I guess what Rupert Mondro does because this is a job that I didn't know existed. It's an unbelievable story. How he started doing what he's doing he was born in South Western. England in Devon Place called barnstable. He was a trained actor at one point. He had his own company. He went bankrupt. He told me at the age of Twenty Eight. He was Drifting around I think thinking what do I do next at that point and so he got on a boat and loved. It started sailing and eventually he started delivering goods because he was very good. Skipper and so twenty five years. He did that until the he was he was hired to bring the McKenna across the Atlantic But he he's just a natural born c fair when you talk to him about it You know it's it's like he was born on the water and the way people talk about him is a remarkable. They say it's almost as if he doesn't need instruments he he can sail the seas just by sort of you know putting his finger in the wind and saying little now the waves are gonna come this way so we better go this way and You know he has autopilot. And all the fancy instruments but He's he's been spent the latter half of his life Just having fun sailing boats around the world and he's gone almost everywhere so he captained the McKenna taking it. I guess from Greece to Canada. Yeah he he brought crew And a cook And in October of two thousand eighteen they they met in in Greece and they spent a few days. They're getting ready Inspecting the boat making sure everything was in working order. It was by all accounts. A beautiful boat the McKenna was in very good condition and And ready for the voyage. He said By text to John. The surgeon Looking wonderful we're GONNA get going and so. They sailed through the Mediterranean. They had to stop in Italy everywhere. They talked with scenic about away but they stopped in Italy to fix a a steering problem fixed. It kept going. Stop at Gibraltar for a little while whether stopped them from going much. Further few days finally got onto the Azores which was the final stop before the Atlantic crossing Weather stop them again. There's a lot of weather in the late fall in the North Atlantic relatively treacherous waters so They were waylaid for for a while and It it took them quite a bit of time to get from Greece to the stores But then in November they set sail for Halifax what happened well. A lot of bad things happened relatively quickly The the treacherous weather caught up with them again. Rupert had this satellite phone that he borrowed from another sailor and he was able to get weather reports on sort of four or five hour delays. So he would check the forecast and based on what it said he would. He would steer the boat in a different direction. There was a big weather system coming in a big low pressure system from the South who was moving north and he and his crew. We're GONNA try to beat it to the north and they almost got there when you when you look at some of the screengrabs. They have of the of the weather patterns but they didn't quite make it and we're caught in this little arm of what they all refer to everyone involved in this as a hurricane. It was not a named hurricane but it was hurricane-force winds and it had this little arm whipping around and got caught in it and It for twenty four hours totally ravaged the boat crew was hunkered down The waves were were roaring. The wind was ripping through the rigging of the masks on On the on the boat and they were I mean they were they were rolling safely but quite violently through huge waves the kind of waves that you would see in big bad blockbuster movies you know. Not Maybe not the biggest of the big but huge so The weather data and they and they survived that The boats survived intact. They didn't capsize anything. Like that. But When it was safe to emerge in sort of inspect the damage rupert who Never saw probably couldn't fix came out and saw problem he almost couldn't fix because Man It was. Just it was torn. The steering was broken. The rudder was at a place it took some real Seafaring ingenuity to even get the boat. Operable again he and they kept going well. The steering quadrant was broken. The the the sort of mechanism that connects the rudder to the autopilot into the anything you need to actually change direction in the boat. He had to flip it around and turn it one hundred and eighty degrees the steering quadrant and then welded into place. Not Welding really. He had a cables and whatever it was at its disposal that would keep things together and worked. And so he I think the cruise airing macgyver. I got yeah he really was a seafaring macgyver and I think the crew was stunned They they were texting as well back to John. The surgeon who was a little helpless at this point in probably starting to feel a little guilty by boat is in the middle of the North Atlantic Middle North Atlantic. And his crew. That I sent. There's with it in. Oh my God we can even do and so. He was getting texts. They're saying we're pretty sure Rupert Scott under control because he's a pretty you know stoic. Man and And he did and they kept going and then well and then I hit more weather goodness. It never really stopped. They were chugging at this point as fast as they could to Halifax where the boat was gonNA spend the winter before coming to Toronto in the spring but more weatherhead This time the forecast racist dead wrong it. It misled Rupert and And his crew and they found themselves overtaken by a storm that I don't think was hurricane force but was nevertheless the kind of thing that would damage a boat. That's already been that's already damaged it just. His ingenuity was Was unfortunately Somewhat beaten down two to nothing by the storm so they found themselves once it had calmed a little bit and they were able to assess the situation adrift at Sea. What do you do in a situation like that? Well in this case what you do. Is You look for boats in the vicinity of your of your boat? Anybody who can help. You is a savior and fortunately for the McKenna. There were two Canadian navy ships. Who happened to be coming home from a mission a training mission in And War Games in Europe and they were only about eight nautical miles away from the McKenna. When everything went Super Ri- so rupert the captain got on the radio with Peter McNeil the captain of HMCS glaze Bay talked a little bit and Ships turned towards the McKenna it was glaze. Bay and HMCS summerside two coastal defence vessels. Which are two of the smaller ships in the fleet? But by comparison to the McKenna they were quite large and probably looked a you. Know a welcome sight to about adrift without any ability to really go anywhere on. Its own power and then they rescued them and it was no problem. In the story is over everything's Peachy The ship came and they just pluck them out. No it was really difficult. The story of this rescue is the stuff of a movie. This podcast will be right back after a really quick message. Can you guess the average dollar amount Canadian households have in savings according to the most recent data? It is just eight hundred and fifty two dollars now. The recommended rate of savings in Canada is ten percent and traditionally Canada's historical rate has been around seven point five percent last year though. It was one point seven. That doesn't sound like a lot because it isn't it can be hard to save today for people who are often carrying debt. It can be even harder in fact thirty nine percent of Canadians right now of all ages. Don't think they will ever save enough for retirement. So how do you save when there's not much there to start with? You need a plan
