Gani just maybe one or two or it will get you shuttles to park over ganymede. Which of the things that are going to school. You points at the end of the game. More shuttles blast off the more points you get at the end of the game. The thing about both of these actions the more of one color of action so each action will have a corresponding mental symbol showing. Its color the more of those colored actions you get the more you get some repeat that action so if you have three blue tiles lined up at your top bar you'll get to repeat that action three times so the game encourage you to build up big vertical stacks of actions. A huge amounts of free turns which gives this game this very satisfying arc that gets underway pretty rapidly so you can choose a tiled to take an action or you can choose a shuttle to move your people around from planets upon it..

"Have a few to others. I wanna add to the list. You talked briefly about humanistic psychology earlier and the notion of a whole person. I believe i i would. I could benefit from hearing that more. About what exactly you mean by that. And then the other definition i wanna add. Your notepad is self factual a phrase. That's come up a lot. And i've been a terrible host in not getting you to define it thus far this going to be a fun one on the so whole person in the world defined such a thing i was going to call my book transcend. I was going to call it. My my working title was held to be a whole person and a lot of people really now. That should be your title. Scott like i was even gonna have a scale test a scientifically valid test. That tells you how. What percentage you're you're thirty percent of the whole person cut. You can't do that. You can't do that. So i mean i do have a whole person scale of alabama skill but with all that said what all all i mean by it. Is you know to what extent i could pass the buck to another phrase and say i just mean mean fully human. And then you'll be like okay. That's cheating what is fully human By the way it turns out moslo didn't even like the faceoff actualization more close to the end of his life. He preferred the term full human. And i think that if the way he thought about full human the way the humanistic psychologists thought about it because call rogers the humanistic psychologists talked about being becoming full human as well. So they meant you know. What does it mean to be a fully vital integrated person where you don't leave parts of you on the table that you you're really operating at full capacity but you're also able to access the full depth of humanity. You know what it feels like to be sad. You have access to very broad range of the human experience but you are operating at full power so to speak your full strength your full sort of You know what. What is your highest potential. And i think that's basically what maslum by self actualization he actually co opted the term from a neurologist. Kurt goldstein. He wrote the book the organism where he found cruelty found in his brain damaged patients that the brain had a will to self actualize that even with trauma injury to the brain. There are other parts of the brain that desperately wanted to take over those functions and mazal really love that and coop that term and used it as more broadly As a human will crawl. Rogers the human psychologist called it. The soft actualising tendency. We all have this tendency for growth. We want to at the end of the day move toward growth but there are so many things that take us away from an internal things as well as external constraints and and various things You know we share a lot of needs with each other with our common humanity. The needs for connection. Like i said needs to matter the need for safety the need for respect and self esteem from others. You know the need for self actualization is what is that is the need to express and to put into existence that unique aspect yourself that you don't share with others necessarily you know what is what is the most unique thing about you. They can have the most maximum sort of if not impact on the world. They can bring it to. Its expression that you would feel most alive and creative so it seems like there may be distinction between self actualization which is understanding. What makes you special and then You know a operationalizing materializing it in the world and being a whole person or a whole human which is bringing all the parts of yourself to the table in a way that like yeah. I do have parts of me. That are are less functional than others. But can i come into a relationship with those parts of me so that i'm harmonizing it into a whole. Yeah absolutely and i feel like that's very much in line with your own sort of journey. Write your own warnings teachings In your meditation journey right hasn't hasn't been a concentrate. Any of integration for you into self acceptance and awareness of all sorts of anxieties. You've had in the past and stuff like that. Yeah i would say a arc of it thus far has been first of all getting some degree of self awareness. Which allowed me or or mindfulness. You know just being able to see what was going on in my mind at any given moment so that it doesn't own me you know i can see. Oh yeah. i'm getting angry. But don't have to be owned by the anger and then the next step in that was actually having a warmer relationship to the angry or defensive or jealous parts of me And seeing that that the those neurotic programs are trying to help be however unskillful early. But i don't have to be owned by them. And so i i realized that for me this sort of first step of mindfulness. I thought i was being mindful. But there was a kind of verse of flick in there. When i would notice anger coming up or something like that and then adding in the extra ingredient of warmth has really been useful. The i just wanna say your patients have been helpful to me. I'm i'm a fan. It's quite an honor to be beyond your podcast. Yeah reading about your journey has been helpful for me and my own journey as well reading about other people's journeys as well I i like people who are very brave. Enough to be very brutally honest about their journey That's i find that really helpful to me so thank you. Thank you for saying that. I appreciate it. What is the core thesis of your book. And what advice do you provide in terms of how we can all vector toward transcendence more practically. Can we what would solve actualising society. Look like more of a society where we give people the opportunity resources to first of all to so factual as we help them at a basic minimum not live live a life of insecurity and feeling unsafe. But we had. We must do more than that. And this is moslem made clear. He's just helping people with their lack of safety is not moving them in the towards of growth necessarily and is actually why i have a revised hierarchy of needs. Which is a sailboat metaphor. you know you have your basic boat. Recap too many holes in the boat of the of of the foundation or else of course water will get in. You won't move anywhere but just having a secure vote doesn't assure that you're gonna move anywhere unless you open up that sale and Be open to moving in your most.

"I wonder if he can tell us about that. Yeah my good friend martin lindstrom. He's a a branding specialist and he consults for a royal family. And i actually have this early on in the book because i felt like it was so emblematic for most executives. You know of course were evaluated on these tight timelines quarterly earnings and things like that and even just for most regular professionals our own. Internal sense of timeline is maybe a few months maybe a year maybe a few years if we really push it but for a royal family it is completely different and this ruler pulled martin aside and said to him. Hey i want you to know. This is early in his tenure working for them. We are going to measure success on a long-term timeline in martin's. Okay what do you mean by that. And he said if this generation succeeds then your work will be well done. We're measuring it on a generational level and it begins to really hammer home. Oh what kind of questions could you be answering. What kind of progress could you be making if that's the orientation not just the next three months or six months so if we stopped to think about what each of us might want to accomplish in our careers in in our lives from a longer term time horizon. How do we even know where to focus. Energies like what our goal should be so one of the concepts that i talk about in the long game is really sort of pushing at one of the things we we often hear that you know people sort of throw off bromide sometimes about follow your passion and i get so troubled by this not because following your passion is bad. I don't think it is if you're passionate about something mazal but the problem that i see with so many friends that i know and so many so many people who are very successful is it. Oftentimes they have thrown themselves so much into their careers that they might hit a point where they say okay..

Luck and bobby carpenter. Handy bobby. I mean they would be a dynamic duo maybe bubby switches to running back and play. Maybe a tibo. S switch it. Bobby's plan tailback. And he's well. Bobby's lean now but still gigantic. I don't want to take that down. So yeah he may maybe if he gets out there and bowl practice with the buckeyes he can get the ball the ball in his hands a few times. He can really show those coaches what he can do on the offensive side of the ball but they might be nervous. you know. they don't want bobby carpenter taken out. Every single starting linebacker d. lineman as he runs through them. You know that that would probably be a situation like you practicing with your kids team. I i. I would do that bobby would he. Would he would physically assault a lot of people on the football. Sure he was out there with the buckeyes but talking about people getting knocked out. What is jake paul. Jake fights thailand. Willie this weekend in cleveland. His hometown at the basketball arena right. Yeah sunday night man. So that's it's sunday aku so that's gonna be. I assume it's sold out. Do we know out. I think there's i was looking at some tickets the other day. There's still some available. What are the what are the odds on this. Fight jake balls minus two fifteen tyron woodley plus one sixty four in so jake paul. I know he's out there. They had like open workouts. Who knows people feel real strong one way or the other about jake paul and what he's doing but i'll tell you what he gets people to watch boxing for some reason i. We had him on the show a week or two ago i know but he was. I know he's already set up his next flight. Like he is is he's conor. Mcgregor of the youtube boxers. He was talking trash on whore. Hey mazda saying he wants to knock him out next to me. Yeah which is interesting. Just because i was helping him. Prepare for the asking fifa moss. Woodley share the same manager or something. So now he's kind of talking. Mazal i i'm not gonna say he's biting off more. The nikkei chew because who knows you might come out and knock out right away and that could go that way and then he has to fight maas with all but you gotta think he has some sort of conference because it is boxing and these guys you have dudes and you want to just be running his mouth for no reason. I think it's hard like he. He told us like he's a big fucking dude. He's bigger than i mean mazda and Woodley they were both welterweight. S- right like those guys fought at one hundred one seventy pounds so like i mean granted. It's a it's a catch weight fight but also like everyone wants him to lose so badly what was he minus two thirty like that's massive liability if he if he were to lose. There's a reason he's that big of a favorite to fifteen tire woodley's one sixty four. I put a little bit on the dog. Just because like you have no idea what's going to happen in this fight so if you're gonna give me plus money i'll i'll take some of it. Entire people watch tired when he yeah. He's not what it used to. Man the duty is explosive. He looks in great shape. Woodley's ask actually also in shape is not like a sack of bones. Like ask him was walking in there. Dude like come on. He's always been a much better striker than aspirin. We've been asking. He wasn't much of a striker woodley's he's always always pretty jackson. Who knows what people i would assume. It'll get big number speaking things that people to people don't care about what's going on with rinaldo he's switching It's almost done from the sound things. They want twenty five million for him but man he's trying to just give them a player instead because they don't wanna pay twenty five million for a guy was almost thirty seven years old but if that gets done. He grew up playing for manchester united. Manchester will absolutely explode eva. So it let me know is rinaldo still. I know he's thirty seven. He's still like when he's playing is he's the best player on the field. He still got the juice. He's still got he's rinaldo yeah so he he would still score goals still making plays. He's never reliability. Not at all. He'll be he'll be very good fermented so he's been like the best soccer player for the last fifteen twenty years like it seems like forever. Yeah it's been him massey forever. And now they're both on different teams and they just had the champions league draw. Psg and man cedar in the same group so messing rinaldo possibly play each other in the champions league as well. I would love to know how you keep track of all the different leagues. They move around. There's no off season. They seem to play twelve months a year. They're on a different team to paint on. What time of the year it is what. How in the world you do you keep it all with wind in your head. That's that's what makes it so incredible. What messy and rinaldo don. Because there's no off-season aj like they literally just keep going and going like they probably take two three weeks off a year and they don't get hurt like has any of them missed significant time with like acl's or anything. No rinaldo missed a bit of time when he had covert but he was still like train training videos the whole time he had cove. It's any was fine is renault human. I watched that documentary on him. That dude like everything about it. He didn't have kind of tough upbringing. Dad pushed him hard and he was. He was a stud but his life now like he is such an international superstar is is he like. Does he understand like i don't know. How is he with his teammates. There was teammates all speak. Speak of him like people speak. Tom brady people use to not speak well of but when portugal won the it was either the euros.

"That by the way like there's one in particular who's like going in real hardcore you yeah Flying right our masters gilo tense tense. Sometimes these guys are thirsty. Can blame them. But allan allen had was this this week or when was this weekend a little over week ago a little over a week ago allen's got big news for everybody go ahead ellen. I did break my dry spell. There was no fanfare. I was going to leave the room. So thank you fanfare. It's tough out here. It was home saying yes a couple of weeks ago. A guy that i've been on off hooking up with forever and is very like. That's our our vibe. We're not gonna date. We know like marino that deal Texted me one night and he was like. Hey you basically lack of better word. Should i come over. I was like wait. Is that a typical. Is that a. Is that a difficult thing that a guy just goes you up. That's always asking how romantic it is than. I've sent the u up tech so i'm not here to judge. I'm single alone. Thank you so this guy and may it was pretty late and he just like asif. You should come over. Which i said yes to and i realized he was gonna be over in like fifteen twenty minutes. I realized that i hadn't shaved my legs in probably a week week and a half. And i'm not a super like hairy person if that makes sense but i get leg hair like it wasn't tracking but there was definitely laying here on my legs is. It's double it was stubble. Wasn't it was a level radic stubble. If i was going to wear like if i was going to go out that night and were address i would've likes that level. Young girls will understand that reference. And i was like should i happen. The shower and shave really quick. Should i like try to pull myself together for this guy. And he and i are probably hooked up. I mean fifty to one hundred times over the past year. And i was like i don't actually care about his opinion and he has seen me so whatever so i didn't shave my legs and i've always been someone who's like pretty self conscious about like grooming when i'm going to sleep with someone but for some reason i was just like. Nah i don't care care today. But there was like this brief moment of panic where i was like. Do i tell him not to come over. Because i am untrimmed at the moment. And i don't like did he comment when he came back. He didn't say anything. I have guys that have commented though yet. Well that's why i asked. Yeah and i. I just don't i. I don't think guys are that specific about if they care for girls but i've also gotten comments from dated for a long time. That was like i prefer. How long does it take you to shave your legs. Five to ten minutes. So it's like five ten minutes out So if this guy were the Like a new guy that you recently had Had just you know matt. And it wasn't just the guy that you randomly will hook up with every now and again. Would you have one thousand percent. You're comfortable in your own leg hair skin. I would comfortable three glasses of wine in debatable. On where we stand on that line. But yeah i was just like i don't care mazal tall so i wanna know. I wanna ask you this question. Have you ever said no because you. You haven't groomed yourself or ever really all the time or if you're wondering if you're wearing ugly underwear oh no not even that. I really don't care about that. I will peel myself out of my space and have that seam line going down but if there is a hair anywhere on my body. It's not going to happen. It's a wonderful genuinely huge guy. Slept with my last boyfriend a lot. More often there any of our listeners that have ever have ever turned down a night of intimacy because they weren't Appropriately groomed Or or for some other reason. They weren't ready because of that. Didn't feel comfortable. Eight four alive for four six six five six five four eight the telephone number I could see where you'd be uncomfortable. Because i mean first off your you know you gotta be comfortable. You know enough to be able to take your clothes off right. Say you're already self conscious about so many things that just add something else for you to be self conscious about worry about and it's one of those things where i don't think guys realize how much you comment on women's bodies around us and we bank every single one of them even if it's not about us and the consensus for men usually as no hair. No this no that no. It's gotta look a certain way and so when it doesn't fit that narrative you shut me down from wanting to participate or if one guy has mentioned a t. before it'll bring your head for those guys are you ruined for all the rest i. I don't know if i necessarily have agreed to sex all the time. if. I haven't had an aunt scraper. Well no i gotta have my notes on the gem whereby the i'm worried if i had a like i want my booty to be cleaned. I can i tell you something. I was going to say this. But i was a little a little to admit it if i yes i am the same and i i. I know i. If i win anytime the last couple of hours probably gonna turn you out. I don't know if based on this conversation. I'm a lot cleaner than both of you are a lot. Well little hairier. But what's up nate. How you doing. I'm doing well. How are you good. What did you say so people are talking about. You know being shaved and not doing well. My girlfriend actually doesn't like it when i shaved totally bald. I guess so. She actually likes the little there. I don't anybody who knows what she wants. You to have a big old mush. Doesn't she know like that but What about you do you like when your wife scott's double. I don't mind guy's gonna complain. That's not true really guys. I'm not saying they're not gonna talk about it at some point they might have a preference but if you're naked laying in bed in front of him he's not going to say hey. Can you shave your legs. I but is that even worse that you'll still do it but then you'll know trash guys. That's what i'm saying. I'm not saying it's the right thing. But i also think it doesn't hurt guys won't also complain if you say you know i wanna i wanna shower i. I don't feel right guy will be like okay. Cool if shannon's like i pooped earlier today jumping stories. You know what. I worked out this morning. I don't feel fresh. Then you say okay. Good guy's gonna complain. I will sit on the end of that bed and look at my phone for twenty minutes. Whatever it takes. I'm not like the nights called off for me. Aren't wasn't saying i'll i'll i'll never kick you out of bed for and crackers or something like that. Yeah i've never heard. Dad told me that all the time. Factor kidding me. Impotence correct impotence Mood swings some people feel depression Maybe there's depressed losing her hair. Yeah no hope but you think that maybe the the reversal with the pro-peace if it's working with reverse that that's what makes me because it was like. Wow maybe like your one thing. You were nervous. Best switching sides. You're still not feeling good about it. and then Ed but i think with side effects if they have like a certain number of very small number of cases have those effects on people they have to list it. Legally i for so. I don't know if it's like twenty percent of people's dick don't work at vacant. It might just be a couple. People doesn't work. It'd be dick doesn't work you said dick don't and i liked it because i think it was came with a continent. Dick don't yeah was nice. If i were writing lyric. Say dick don't work. It doesn't work. yeah. I think the word on what the frame of context allowed me understand talking about an issue. Yeah that's what i was coming from. I don't i don't know how important it is. I i thought to myself. I think i've asked annemarie this And we're approaching our tenth wedding anniversary. Be magical net mazal tov. thank you If she could have if she could have one thing to change about me talking physically because because obviously you know as a human being she liked to replace me physically would she want me to have a full head of hair which she what need to have a symmetric symmetrical head or B but say six to. What do you think she answers. Probably the height. I think go hi into an ship on the height. Yeah i think i think. Now that i'm more cognizant of the importance of height to women Which is a good thing that i wasn't aware that that was a thing going growing up. I might have been a bigger mess. Yeah i get. That would be like an easy thing. But i didn't know how important height was to women until long after my my time as far as being a single was gone. I didn't know but yeah if you are what. I don't think is big of a deal now at was in like the seventies or eighties where people aren't shaving their heads and some women i actually had a woman specifically target me because she had a thing for shaved heads So someone actually preferred. I certainly don't want to spin it to make it sound. Better i i. I think it's probably less than you know. Fifty percent if not substantially less than fifty percent the asymmetrical had things. Just you know. It's a two hour you know. You're up against isis with pocket kings or you got pockets. Somebody packet king's king on the river. It's mathematically all horrible. Beat nothing you can do about it. I don't think you're dealing with that now. I'm lucky in that sense. Yeah that's that's a that's a bad beat. My mom was on crack rock but The the the thing you're positioned. Well i don't think the hair loss things as bad as you feel like it is with the hair loss and i've heard this from girls too is like it's not necessarily about like if you lose your hair. That's it's it's part of being a male like a lot of is sister hair. It's the people can't accept it and that might and that's like a peer into their personality in some senses. Like if you're like a ninety acacia head conveys confident. It's like yeah like well. This happened and i think this looks better. So i'm doing this. And i'm not gonna apologize for it. I don't know. "You wonderful things start happening right and see. I don't have the time. I don't have the luxury of time anymore. To waste on worrying about how i am received in the room or any other way because i've got two little humans that rely on me and that's mentioned my animals so i think really when i became a mom of dog mama cat mom a human mom you know. There's there's this fundamental shift. And i actually appreciate it greatly because again i just simply don't have the time to dedicate anymore to worrying about it and i love it great. That's wonderful. were you afraid of. Were you afraid of becoming a mother. We've asked this question before two previous parents that we've interviewed where you originally kind of apprehensive about what it will do for your acting and would it be affected and we would you become just a mother when in fact it kind of did the opposite. I was terrified. We were not trying actively to become parents. We all know how these things happen. This is not the podcast for that. So you know. I find out i'm pregnant and i just wept like fell on the floor caning. 'cause i was just so so devastated and didn't know what to do because it felt so foreign to me but and then there was the terror that said in because i was in my second season and blue bloods at that point and i wasn't really an established character. I was just someone that they kept bringing back when you know like they'd pepper me in the scene and if i was needed i'd be there so i was so terrified that this glorious opportunity that i found myself with was going to be ripped from me because oh we don't have time to deal with her being pregnant because they have to accommodate costumes and things like that but i will never forget. I was with a friend and we went to see a play. And i had gotten to the point where i was about five months pregnant and i was just at the point where i looked like i had definitively in a huge chipotle burrito like i could not bucket it in anymore i had been sucking it in you know for for five months at this point so i had a call into the producer to tell her and i was shaking with fear. I i've never been so apprehensive literally about anything ever and she finally. I got on the phone with her and told her and there was just this tiny beep. She goes mazal tov and i went. Oh my god. And i breathed deeper. I mean like you the weight that was taken off and it just was like the easiest most effortless thing in the world for her. And i meant why on earth did i- agonize over this and wait so long like the things that we do not allow ourselves to do or feel because of fear..

"That is chemically identifiable to one dug out of the earth the beauty of the stones available in the marketplace vastly superior to what you could get for the same money from the dug out of the earth diamond. Or you could look at it in another way particularly in larger carrot sizes. You'll pay about twenty five cents on the dollar to fifty cents on the dollar for a lab created diamond versus a dug out of the earth. Diamond you don't have to worry about exploitation where they call him blood diamonds. Whatever you don't have to worry about war diamonds any of that an environmentally. It's not a slam done lab. Diamonds use a lot of energy but they still use a lot less resources per carat than digging them out of the earth so this is a clear threat that the industry is so frightened. That trying now to tell you that a lab created diamond is somehow junk. Not as good as they call it a diamond. we'd be precious rare and unique. That tells you they don't have a good story to tell and the good story for your wallet is to look at a lab created diamond when you're looking at buying one. Instead of a dug out of the earth diamond. I was at a jewelry store recently. Not looking for a diamond. But i just happen to ask if they had knee lab grown diamonds. Because i wanted to see and you thought. I walked into like a church service naked like they were so horrified. They were like those aren't real diamonds and we will never carry them so not real diamonds. Now that's what they said. All right Let's see what we have here. Clark we've got laura and missouri saying my thirteen year old son's bar mitzvah is coming up and i'm considering what to do with the windfall of cash. He is likely to receive. I'm currently thinking about letting him spend ten percent so we get some enjoyment of the gifts and opening a roth. Ira or some similar type of account in his name with the remaining ninety percent we were low income family and i want to hopefully help him have a better financial future through the benefits of time and compounding interest. Would you advise this or is there a better option. Will i laura mazal tov so as far as your idea ten ninety i love that i mean that's something. I've been an advocate for for a long time. Is that when there's a windfall. You enjoy ten percent of it and put the other ninety percent to work if you put one hundred percent to work then..

"Maybe their fight of the year. So far again i know toward tends to get overlooked. When we're we're in count you know compared to some see stuff but if anyone has not seen the daily hamasi at least find the highlights of it this was just knocked. Both guys scoring knockdowns Daily scored for getting the final blow and with amazing knockout. And this happened almost ten. Almost ten years to the day mike after D as nick diaz and fall daily. So it was. It was this weird symmetry as well and that of course the great back and forth bites of all time But it was so this was like that was april ninth. Twenty ten or twenty eleven. This was april sixteenth Twenty twenty one so some cools a little bit of a cool Connection there and One i didn't want people to forget was Mike davison mason jones from thailand. But eight because it hadn't january that no one's gonna be talking about the end of the year just just really great high level lightweight fight. I mean just just nonstop action. That was so good. So yeah So those those are my my runners up yet. That was definitely a my my runner up list as well Let us head to the nocco. The year my best friend and i don't want to be the unoriginal boring guy here but since he was already coming up to the virtual podium to collect his award for midway through the year fight of the year. I'm just gonna keep your per hashaykeh up on the stage to collect his knock out of the year trophy as well. Because that's spinning back. Elbow finished dominic reyes. I actually thought he'd killed him. I thought he killed the man and that was just unbelievable. Kamar boozman of course a close second for ko of the year in my mind. Horry mazal obviously corey saying hagen's flying knees in the running to but right now it is perhaps go and this was one of the easier picks for me. What do you say i mean. If we're being objective. Going to be up there i think the hannigan would probably number one Unfortunately i'm a huge people know. I'm a huge. Frankie edgar stan I don't know how many highlight reel knockouts of. Frankie edgar i can. I can live with anymore The brian ortega. Ko was africa was traumatizing. This knee was beautiful by corey. San san hagen. Perfectly times You're so tough. i know. I said he's got knocked out a few times recently but he's really tough knockouts so for him to get just straight. I mean that was scary thing like when it happened. You thought like holy crap. This guy is like edgar. I don't know how badly hurt he is right and Thank goodness again. He's he's toughest nelson and it seems to be all right but but that might number one. actually. I didn't on my fighter. The i actually thought was months. Ko it's the visual helps a lot. The whatever sweat or water that had been poured all over boswell's heads that you know when he hits them waters fritzy everywhere is such a cool visual and again the prefight high with all saying he couldn't he couldn't have has no knockout power. He's a soft puncher. It just that would sweeter so So that would have been up there. And i wanna get one shot at to Check oh this. Probably recency bias. This just happened last week. Her not gonna. Atlantic lesnik was was hilarious. Straight up brawl between the two and pacheco just cracks the cleanest right hand. You'll ever see in your life and hopefully that one doesn't get forgotten six months from now. A lot of great choices as we head to the submission of the year. Mr achey lee. There there are a lot of strong candidates for this one but there hasn't been. It's like that out of nowhere like very rare submission that that sort of gets it. But there's been sort of an eclectic collection of just really good submissions and really top spots so after six full months who in your opinion has delivered the best emission of twenty twenty one. Oh i'm going outside the box. I'll go outside the box. I'm doing a move. That our producer extraordinaire e. casey line would not approve of my. Because you know he's big on sort of level of competition matters kind of the promotion. You're fighting in matters but this submission was so bizarre and it happened. And i don't want to forget about it so i just tweeted on thursdays so people want to check my feed. You can find it but if not Mateo santos submitted alexander volatile at this open fighting championship to event. I think there's moscow isn't february twentieth again. You can look that up. You can google misfits mateo. Santos it's in there. He's he's fighting off a face down arm bar. But it's not it's not it's not close to being an and his opponent kind of makes has his his leg over the back of his neck and santos pulls down on the guy's leg turning into a toehold bending the bending the ankle and toe and leg around his own neck and it's so tight that that the guy going through the arm bar taps out it was really amazing and i get. It didn't happen at the sea level. This kind of weird stuff happens in the regional and international. Seen all the time but this to me really really really stood out so i would tell people to find that again. You can look up myspace. Mateo santos or santos volatile submission. Look it up again. it's in my feed. it is it was disturbing and maybe the craziest emission. I've seen this year for sure. Yeah that one actually made my shortlist. this was probably the toughest one for me. If we're being honest actually like dig pretty deep for this one to actually get one and be like yep. That's the one because yours is a really good one years as a sneaky. Pick that. I could have gone with. Because i didn't know if you were going to go with that but thinking deep down i kind of knew we're going to go with that my heart well yet. It hasn't we're best friends. I can't even surprise you anymore. I know my heart was with brandon. Marino submitting davison figueredo. What a moment. That was for him to become a champion. So i really wanted to pick that one. However i went with the different selection. I went with the submission that took place in february at. Ufc two fifty eight a massive upset against a multi time ad sea world champion. "Like a good sandwich. it's probably very relatable. I i certainly have those moments and and it's like you gotta know always about just always i. I did read a book this weekend. I was very happy back to small talk time. Well not i got about eighty pages in we. Good fucking out. I got a backyard now. So we bought an inflatable pools. Saying guys yes. Okay about two things. I bought inflatable pool field. That shit up. Then we got the blob scenic going viral on tick-tock. Here's what it is. It's basically a waterbed that fills up and then you lay on it and it feels like a waterbed and you can put. Here's what it does. You are sunbathing. But because you're laying on water you're cool so you're cooling and bathing but you're not wet it kind of feels like thought voting on a raft in a pool but without having a pool. Because i don't have a pool. Is that same experience where your backside is cool. Your top side is warm. He got this. Yangyang of heat is unbelievably delightful. And then there's a second mode where you can plug in a hose and it does this little wrangler sprinkler waterfall over your body. Nice but we just a little bit of water on the top so it was like my belly just like just ever so gently makes tiny little bit of p p. It was wonderful and i'd just like for four hours hung out of my backyard. Read a book. Relaxed kicked it. I was my meter filled all the way up. I felt like i was on vacation in my own house. I loved it. I don't know why i don't do that because like you go on vacation go to the beach. You read a book. I never recreate that experience at home. I had the like genuinely. I was so happy about an inflatable pool. I had it filled up on my birthday and chris reineck or came over and he brought over like an inflatable cactus. That shot water wild and it shots lots of water out of it. we like. Put the pressure all the way up and it was like giving twenty foot diameter of waters is flying now and then we were trying to ring. Toss on it and somehow it. It was just very fun. It was like a childhood day. We'll party like sprinklers. Her fucking doubt. We're happy now until we see that water. Bill am i right. I mean probably well you guys like in in your little swimsuits like dancing. Yeah that's so fun. I was soaking wet. I was like child wet where a child is in a sprinkler head to toe. You can't get them anymore. Wet than they already are just so wet. It was hilar- that's the game. I played with west. Sometimes we'll just turn on the lawn. Sprinklers run around. And so it's a bland. I tell you guys about rosanna pen. Xenos birthday party. No i wanted to go. It was really fun. She had a party. It was basically all for toddlers. It was like four people with a toddler there. She had a nine foot tall. Waterslide went like straight down inflatable inflatable water. Slide with water running down it. I was climbing up. And like i was just ripping down this thing west down once he's like oh i don't know and then i kind of gave them space and then he slowly like climbed up all by himself and just went sliding down and then you couldn't get him off easy going again and again and again. Nothing's better than a big all bouncy slide. Awesome this scale of the world. When you're a child is incredible right. This was a pretty big slide for me. Imagine what it would be like for someone. Who's a quarter of my. Yeah like for me. I like that. Yeah okay another question. Sorry i heard okay. Here's here's another question for you need like like when we told those stories you need a button to goes coup for the summer. That'd be absolutely no. Yeah i would. Love pitches for others next to have because i can have lots of them. Okay here we go another question here. Hi miles why the fuck is everyone talking to you. Because it's advice overalls dot dot com gmail.com guys. I check that one and it was bad. It was evil that it was just drunk. I think a little bit. Yeah i mean there's some is there of year. They try guys tough. we're happy outlet. We're just not gonna read. I'll read them out loud high miles at all. I'm alley and i'm pregnant with my second baby great model yeah mazal but but but it kids. My first baby refuses to let me watch the try guys. Every time i try to play a video. You got. I'm going to interrupt you. Get rid of that baby. Every i try to play video of the podcast. She says no mommy. No try guys know. Interestingly how did this kid she is not bothered by. You can stay with us. What can i do to get like you guys know events because i'm personally a big fan. Thanks for the help. Allie from my iphone. Think that's more of an us problem than you. Then you probably. I'd say we need to figure out a way to optimize our content for babies do stuff with excavators wreck cars more lippi on show. The same thing happened to me in west. We used to watch football together and it was the best. It would just me and my pal. We'd like he'd have little jerseys we'd watch and now that he's discovered other types of videos. Now if it's not the content he wants but the tv's on he says no football only truck movie. Wow and i'm like when he goes super saying when he does it to talk dad watching. Nfl red zone on his phone with like a beautiful eighty inch like man type of tv showing cocoa. That's how that's that's what my advice to this alley. This person is is to you know. Watch on your phone while you put on whatever they like on the big screen. He may not even here this. That's true. she may not even get. Here's a question have you ever. This is bad but have you ever put western vr. Would it be too overwhelming. No i think you would really dig it. Yeah he likes all sorts of experiential things. I mean imagine being like yeah half the things when you're threes never experienced before right. I put headphones like these. Like wearing right now. And put the mic in front of him. He can just go to the lows his mind. Yes it i mean. You saw us at the beginning of this. Podcast blew our minds right. He was over my birthday party and we were. He was playing with every toy that i had. He was finding all the toys he found my mario car home circuit. How does this car work. What's this and it's like. Well okay. i'll show you. He started playing with it. He was he was steering it very well also for a child and he's like nerf gun is like okay. Let's play with today's like what's his light and like well this light. You persist changes color. It changes colors. Yeah you can pick any. Wow any color. And then he's like what's this lies like this just spence. Why can stop it. It's yes if you hold it with your hands. Stop them that he was like then he was like i want to do them all at once. You can only play with one at a time. It's just that's how toys work Then the nerf guns dealers has delightful dizzy. Think that allie is actually has this problem or is it actually one of those dastardly co host from you can sit with us just trying to dig it a sane our shows better than yours and and my child thinks that you guys suck but we're awesome the email address that was sent from. Yeah.
UFC featherweight champ defends title in split decision
"I Will Fight Island was officially christened tonight for the UFC in Abu. Dhabi there was no baptism to be had in the main event of UFC two fifty one. What's going on everybody? Welcome to the official. You have to fifty one post fight. Show here on, May, finding dot com I'm Mike Heck location this week from Boston Massachusetts visiting the parents this weekend. That is Jose Jose. Main Event Kamara, who's been retains a welterweight title against Whore Mazal. Challenger looked pretty darn good in that first round. I'm pretty surprised that judges gave in that first round, but it was the much fresher champion that was able to sort of chip away at the always game, or hey mazda throughout the fire Ab. Fresher champion but Komo. Zeman was basically been in camps since beginning of this year, despite was like Ben Booked and booked in both supposed to fight earlier this by giving burns, and also muzzle steps in, so yes, he's finally fresher because he he's had the full camp and everything but I think Kamara wasn't one hundred percent in that fight, either considering this long extended, Feick at Ala, similar to twenty Ferguson with all these these these fights falling apart, but Kamara who's been one nonetheless, might not have been the most exciting fight. I saw a couple of tweets complaining about the fight and I really take that. I felt it was a lot of fans that were on this very muzzle hype train. He's on the video game cover on this baptism round the resurrection Super Necessary Punches bef tile, and that they were expecting violence, even mice I myself said fight between WHO's minimize well probably has a higher chance of ending in a violent way, but it did not come out who's been one I had them winning all five rounds the first round I guess. Didn't really matter to me. Who won that? I still come who's been what at least four of the rounds comfortably? The people complain about. The foot stopped the wrestling the headbutts. That stuff will come out. Who's been did what he had to do to win. That's exactly why I thought he would. Take, her might as well because all the time Mazal taking this fight on short notice. Kamara also took this fire. On short notice gets an extra a completely different fighter between Gilbert Burns as well. It's completely rechange leftist camp Had his new trevor wittman is corn for the first time fighting the guy all this bad blood is in the air all the pressures on him, and perform a like we ourselves, said all the pressures on who's Madonna not not a whole lot on Mazal, but at the end of the day. Who's been doing what he had to do? I didn't have a problem with the way fought. Might not have been the most exciting, but if I was going to pick up, predict away whose men would pull this off. This is exactly how I thought he would do it. Yeah, when you get a fight like this and you have a guy as hot as MAS. Bat brings in a lot of the casual fan base. Does your watch? As many events as we watch, and some of the hardcore fans watch everything so most people expected this fight to go exactly that way I thought the first row was going to be the most interesting round, obviously, because of Mazda was going to get it done. He's probably going to have to do it in the first five minutes, and this is the fire. We got like Mara. Who's been defends his title. For the second time. It was another classic who's been like performance and he gets a one-sided win and highly anticipated main event so in the end. We like to talk about the overall letter grade, but it felt like just kind of looking at the time slot when we're all said and done. We're getting ready to hit record here. We're just like man this is this is super late like I feel like the card and the whole night in a weird way. Wet Kinda slow did it not. started off really really quickly. Might just. Like I feel like the first few flew by and all of a sudden I had been watching fights for two and a half three hours and I'm like wow, this fight is cars going quickly I like this pace, and then we the main card and Amanda he boss comes in, and just submits patriots immediately i. wish went exactly as I expected, but then there was decision with Rosen on drugs, and then even Yawn Aldo finish, but it was in the fifth round, so there's still basically fought for twenty five minutes, and then we get twenty five minutes, Vulcanology Holloway and then we get twenty five minutes of in Mazda, also of these we've seen. We saw that graphic on the screen like. All the cards are three title fights, and like we used to fourteen had like Woodley Maya in Jones, a cormet and Cyborg Abinger, and then to seventeen to five those had some bangers like like two to seventeen had three epic fights three like violent, like just three of the craziest finishes you'll see. And then, of course to a five, the CONOR McGregor show, and then to seventeen had the DC Jones trilogy, so I think we're a little maybe. We'll. We'll spoiled on these three. These three title fight cars while we're expecting something like that and I loved all all great fights off spectacular fights, but I think a lot of fans are tuning in to see fight island. In the Mazar strain, all these title-fights might have been. A limited. I could see why they might have been little disappointed. I didn't have a problem with it, but probably was the night Dana White wanted in terms of finishes. Yeah, the main event may have disappointed some people but for. The Sake, this is like the best thing that could have happened for the welterweight division like if you're burns. Edwards these guys are pretty happy right now. Especially Gilbert Burns. One hundred percent I mean we. We set it on count after it was on what the heck or or post eyesore produce. All kind of blend together at this point in the summer, but we. We said if Moslem Dole wins. That's going to be a problem for the US's pockets the welterweight division I mean. We were talking about him fighting the bringing the both belts so that the Conor McGregor. The table and all this. Kamara who's been one and it's? It's a no brainer that Gobert burn gets three matches. Suppose he should've been fighting tonight. before covid nineteen October, nineteen. That's applaud the car, so yeah, for all the way division, and the the the martial art fans of the world that don't like quote unquote. Holding divisions I think that's a good thing, but I. Honestly I love chaos at Moscow had one I. Think I, think it would have been fun time in the world of May. And Mazda all. Let's be clear. We all know this. He was the a side heading into this fight. He's the reason. There was a lot of buzz and a lot of fanfare when you had a guy like game bread in the street that he's on. That's what happens, but a lot of people wanNA know where he goes from here. Because despite losing the fight tonight, he still has a ton of options moving forward. Chaos can still rain in some way Jose. Can you say that again? You cut off quick second. Chaos can rain. For horny Mas at all got about it because he's got so many options moving forward despite the loss tonight. Yeah, I mean Hoy Mazdas. All I'm Kamara. WHO's been himself set like he's GonNa. He's like. He's like he's GonNa. Lose all these like excuses. Bill didn't talk the finance days notice flu costs. The country doesn't have was coach in the gym, covert nineteen this and that so like I. Don't think I of course I think Mazda obviously cooled anytime. You lose. You cool a little bit Conor McGregor and Nadir's, and it's such an insane finish that they run it back, and you have another epic fight like that, but for Mazda all you're obviously going to a little bit but he himself said. Let me, get a couple of wins and they'll run back. I'm sure he want. He would love to five full camp but the Colby College. Is there I? Think that is going to drum up a whole lot of interest I. think people might even be more interested in that fight in the dynamic between those two fires, oarsmen and I think that Kobe Covington already Moslems? Fight does not need a title online. That's just two guys. They hate each other I wanNA break brick on each other's faces. WHO'S MCCANN? Fight Gillard. Leeann, Edwards of course out there, wonder boy thompsons, working his way up Santana, positive I think has covered to so he somewhere out there, so the welterweight division will move, but for now Mazda all. Of course cooled, but he's still I think still the hottest commodity hundred seventy pounds.

Transcend: The New Science of Self-Actualization, by Scott Barry Kaufman, Ph.D.
"About Maslow's we're we're going to go into your new book coming out called transcendence is that right that's it's called transcend transplants. Verb got it transcend. Is it like an order? You're giving people please transcend. Yes yes that's the idea. It's an action action word for sure. It's a hopefully a inspirational northstar kind of book. They kind of shows what humans could be well any builds on the work of Abraham Maslow's. So tell us a little bit belt who he is we all. We've all heard of him but Philipson is if we didn't know oh good. I'm really glad you said that. Because I've had other people billy well no one's no good no sue Masilela. Why should they care about your book and we thanks so I like your attitude about that? Everyone knows who might as well. Well I think most people who've taken introductory psychology class who have taken an introductory management class have come across maslow's writings. Yeah for sure. I've come across at least if they never even heard him as well have come across that. Connick pyramid now. As Abraham Muscle was a humanistic psychology. The pyramid is the hierarchy of needs. That we're talking about correct maslow's hierarchy of needs and it's usually depicted as a pyramid where you have n- order of needs. That must be met before one can become everything. They're capable of becoming sandwiches labeled soft actualization. Now this is the story this is this is the story that's being told to so many introductory psychology management students and people who see at diagrammed on the Internet however it turns out that massive never drew a pyramid and and there are so many misconceptions about the hierarchy of needs. It's it's incorrect. How it how. It's been taught the past sixty years. Correct a list of needs a hierarchy. But he's never drew them in the form of a pyramid correct. He never conceptualized in that way. His theory was very developmental. He made it very clear that we are constantly this dynamic of moving two steps forward and one step back and then we can also that we can. We can target multiple need simultaneously. We don't have to wait to to start self actualising until everything else has done until we check all the boxes and also as I like to say in. The book of life is not a video game. It's not like we reached one level of the hierarchy like connection. Some voice from above is like congrats. You've unlocked esteem mortal combat or something. It's just not the way the world works and was very clear about that so I really tried to infuse the spirit of what Mazal actually meant as well as the rest of the humanistic psychologists it really is an attempt more globally in this day and age in this world today to to bring back a lot of the ideas of of the humanistic psychologists have been lost but tell us what the hierarchy is. What are the levels the original model in medicine and I revised it revised it but in the original model you had the safety needs or even had below that yet physiological needs okay like food water shelter and safety needs need for certain sense of predictability in your environment and then you have belonging in love and he lumped him together which I teased them apart? And we can talk about that in in my my revised model but he had love and belonging together and then he had a steam needs which is esteemed from others esteem. It's the esteem and others hold us in both. I'd say he. He has two components of that. Both the scene from others as well as our own self esteem. But the problem with that is it's hard disentangle that because we do drawl so much of our own self esteem on this team. It's almost like redundant in like ninety percent of humans and then but then you can get to the self actualized individuals so that's too that's the next level is self actualization is a big. It's a big leap jets. I've always viewed that as quite a jump like okay. I feel really pumped up ego. Wise boom can self actualize? I you know this seems to be a lot of steps along the way there. And in a Lotta ways. That's what I try to. My book is is connect those dots and I took self actualization out as a stage. It's not because it's not we ever reach again. Life is not a game. It's not like you ever reach self actualization and then you win the princess or whatever that was whatever my my video game. I understand just an ordinary language. The words you know physiology safety belonging esteem but self actualization. I'm betting most people hurt either directly or indirectly from maslow's hierarchy of needs. Can you can you tell us a little bit about what he meant by that? I contact Maso talks about in different ways. But there's one one quote he's he used to. If you give me a moment to actually find it I really love this quote. It was the best description of self actualization. I could find okay. Short tie found a unpublished essay that he really wanted to publish it was he was calling critique of self actualization. This was really his attack. He really wanted to publish this before he died. And instead it was left in an unpublished collection. But this is the quote. I think this is this really gets the heart of what he really thought about. Self-isolation we try to make a rose into a good rose rather than seek to change. Roses into Willie's incessant pleasure in the self actualization of a person who may be quite different from yourself even implies an ultimate respect and acknowledgement of the sacred and the uniqueness of each kind of

And the crown next, year and. That she looks like she's young and she starts when she's? Just twenty nine years old and Laurie's like well why don't we just keep clarify why are we going on Jumping three years but. What. They're doing in this next. Series?
