Large Oregon eviction protest stretches into 3rd day

"Portland, Oregon Mayor Ted Wheeler sent the city's police force to a victim New autonomous Zone that cropped up around an anti eviction protest on Tuesday, reversing a month long policy of tolerating ongoing demonstrations even when they turn violent. Protesters have been camping out for months to prevent the eviction of the Kennedy family. One Mississippi Avenue, according to Newsweek. "To Russia's week in review. Blow me down. Look at this. Hartman Mayor Ted Wheeler is viewed negatively by two thirds of the city's voters, according to the latest news report, only 26% of voters Viewed the mayor favorably, according to the latest poll from Oregon, live dot com Mayor 10 Wheeler. Is viewed negatively by 63%. Ordinarily two thirds of the city's voters. Do you realize how big this is? Let me try to put this in perspective for you. The drive by media has been presenting this guy as a hero. They have been promoting this guy as a hero. They've been promoting him as cutting edge. They have been promoting him as on the same side as the peace loving protesters. He has attempted to be with them when they have peace, lovingly protested. He's gotten tear gas. They've made fun of him. They've marked him. They have fire bombed his house. They've forced him out of his apartment. Yet he still sucks up to them. And the media. CNN leading the way has tried to portray Ted Wheeler is some kind of cutting edge New Age leader and it turns out that two thirds Of the city's voters, not population. But voters. View him negatively. 63% And he's got an opponent, Sarah. Deanna Roney, an urban policy consultant on urban policy, consulted in a runoff election for the mayoralty after failing to attract 50 plus percent In the cities may elections. But the bottom line is that they portrayed this guy as universally loved and popular, and that therefore the people in Portland very much approve of the destruction of their city. This has been one of the most outrageous examples of media distortion in my lifetime. And not just Portland, but Seattle and Minneapolis, as they have attempted to portray the people live in these cities as totally supportive of the destruction of private property. Destruction of people's livelihood is jobs and dreams. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, everybody in many actresses, all for what's happening. Everybody importance on. No, they're not. Finally, we learn. No, they're not, and the mayor is not universally cutting edge popular. Itjust functions. Another bit of evidence that Even the city of Portland is not ready to go all Marxist all the time. They're not ready to go all Communist looks. Neither is Seattle. We're living in so many media myths that is impossible to keep them all straight unless you listen to and believe me. I will keep you straight about this. There is no way the Democrat Party is going to win this presidential election and a fair one. There is no way they're gonna win it in a lands like there is no way What you're being told is gonna happen is gonna happen. Not if what you're being told, is a Democrat party winning it isn't going to happen. And it's not because there's a bunch of secret trump voters out there that are not willing to be honest with pollsters is that they're not enough Marxist and Communists in this country willing to vote for it. We have not. Crossed The boundary. We have not gone to the dark side. This country is not Marxist. It is not Communist despite CNN and MSNBC and the New York Times best efforts To make you think that you've lost your country. That marks us and Communists have taken over. No, they have not. It isn't even close. Okay? Back to the phones don in Kansas City. Hey, great to have you don thank you for waiting. Thank you, Mr Limbaugh in prayers for your health. I appreciate that. Thank you very much. I'm calling because of the Chiefs game. I'm a die hard cheese span, and I'm so excited last year when they went through the playoffs and just Walk over everybody. But when all these sports franchises started kneeling Dan and protest in our flag, and and I don't care what the media saying about it. Ah, I made a promise. About a month ago. My wife also that we weren't going to support it and we don't I don't plan on watching it. I don't plan on listening to it on the radio. In the local sportscasters. They've been trying to get people excited about it, and I can not wait. That's that's that's a good point Me ask you this done in a normal in a normal year. Take the take the take the virus out of it. Take whatever results from the virus. Think the bad economy out of it. Would you be normally excited that the football season's kicking off tonight? No, I wouldn't be able to wait for and I notice also that everybody that usually how we all get dressed up in the red, too supported. There's a few people out, running around and read. But they're not nearly as many people that has always been and it's the thing I don't see them. All of this is this is my my sixth sense. Look there. I remember. I didn't get mad. I remember. I didn't get depressed. Well, I did. That's what happened. I got by just the air came out of me and I said, it's It's another. Institution. "And others on the road. Be the make a plan driver be the driver who saves lives. Go to zero deaths. MD dot gov. This message is brought to you by the Maryland Department of Transportation. Why would Portland Pan facial recognition. Anybody want to guess that that why would the city of Portland say no facial recognition allowed for people in public facial recognition software using technology for this? Does that seem pretty bizarre to you ever out in public? You're already being videotaped constantly. Right. There's a There's there are cameras all over the place. And if you're in public, you have no expectation of privacy. Please, for your present so people can videotape you. And if they say there could be audio surveillance as well, there's no signs for that. You can even have that going on. So What the heck is going on here? Why would and they're calling it on fox news dot com, the first in the nation. Facial recognition Band for Portland. Barring the public use of this, so law enforcement can't do this. I see two immediate applications. Of this is effectively two applications that are not allowed as a result of this. That are clearly showing you what the left priorities are. For one. Why would Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler, the city Council. They're a bunch of leftist lunatics. Why would they Take it upon themselves to ban facial recognition technology usage. Bye. The authorities. Oh, because you see the reason the mob Also known as Democrat and Biden voters. The reason the mob feels So safe doing what they do, destroying attacking burning looting. Is because when they're in this big group, especially if they had masks on and they're all dressed in black because they're anti phone there in black bloc tactic and whatever They feel like they're not going to get caught. They're not going to get caught. How can you When you got video of somebody with the face, Feli covered and running around that that seems Right. That seems very hard to do. But sometimes they show off and in fact They don't have face coverings on so you can use facial recognition. So why wouldn't you? Allow the authorities to do that, because even still, you know if you have people out there riding and looting and doing these things, and if it is pulled their masks down just for a moment, right? You can get that facial recognition. You can track them down. You can hold them accountable for this. Left wing political activity. The law could be brought to bear. They don't want that to happen. They do not want the usage of facial recognition technology because then You don't. You don't have to have people. We're gonna do a lineup. And how do we find this person? And where are they? And all this other stuff? We need witnesses. No, you just have a video of the scene. People looting and burning and doing stuff and anyone who's mass comes down or isn't wearing a mask. Guess what. You run them through your database if they've been arrested before bingo. One more antifa thug. You can take off the streets, then I like that They don't like this unacceptable to them. No. Why is that? You're in a public place. Why isn't the government allowed to think about this? The same government authorities that want to make sure that you are in eyes in my case going through a mandatory quarantine. Getting text messages from the trace authorities telling you that you can't leave your home making all these demands of you. Those same people are worried about your right to not have anyone know your face who you are. In public while you're looting and breaking stuff. The rioters right to privacy. Who knew who knew this was such a thing. Portland, I swear a place that really could be so charming and could be so lovely. But it turns out it's got more than its fair share of loony Libs. But then there's also the ban on This is from Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler and City Commissioner Joanne Hardisty. They've announced this ban all city agencies. Effective right now and will be effective January 1st for private businesses. Why would private businesses want to use facial recognition technology? I've got a guess. I've got an idea about this. My local grocery store. Right. I go into the grocery store. You know what you can see if you just weren't the right angle and you're really looking you can see behind the main counter. A number of photos of people. Who are known shoplifters, people who come into the store and steal stuff. I'm sure you've seen this and other stores as well. Now think about what it would do for a business. If someone is caught on camera stealing and they don't necessarily have to stop that person and you know, wrestle them to the ground and deal with all that. And oh, my gosh! Citizen's arrest. What are they doing? It can't do that. Right. All this. I feel that But at least then you know the next time the person comes in, you could get an alert on your system that you have a shoplifter, and that's a very that changes. The dynamic a lot, doesn't it or even better. It's one thing to tell the police. Hey, we got a guy shoplifting. We've got him on video. Here's his photo. Member. The police can't use facial recognition either. But it's another thing to say. Hey, we ran this person in our software. This is the This is the individual According to our software who stole from us today? Here's here's their name. You know you confined their address and all the rest of it. Right? Or or we have a match even we don't know the name but we have a match to the person who stole a week ago and then the police can start. They don't want accountability for this. You see there on the side of criminality once again. The left has developed a very clear sympathy for criminal behavior for breaking the laws for predatory acts against Our fellow Americans by people that think that the rules don't apply to them. I can't even go into the drugstore in my corner and get any product that's worthwhile. It feels like I mean anything if I want laundry detergent if I want chocolate, I'm not kidding you chocolate It's under lock and key in the store. I have to get someone to come over and open it up so I can get My, you know, Lindt chocolate squares. If I want razor blades if I want any number of medicine lock and key lock and key You know, they don't put the paper towel under lock and key, And there's some things that are bulky and not worth stealing in the same way, I guess. Think about what it would mean. If everybody who comes in there knows you steal. They're going to have your face. On the system, and we'll know if you come back. Portland,.

Portland mayor to Trump: 'It's you who have created the hate and the division'

"That poor trump supporter gets shot in the chest and killed because he's a trump supporter. And like this is not something we should just be like. Oh, um, this happens It shouldn't happen in this country. And Antifa Guy allegedly killed him. He's being investigated by the Portland police. He's been over this guy who they're investigating, has been arrested before for rights. Antifa rights, I should say. Of course, been released. No charges pursuit against him, But he's had weapons charges brought upon him and everything like that. So this happened in Portland. On Saturday night. But on Friday the Portland governor, I'm sorry to Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler, this guy you want to talk about it over you in over their head Loser. Wrote a letter to the president rejecting any help. This is what he wrote The president yet again. You said you offered to aid Portland by sending in federal law enforcement to our city on behalf of the city of Portland. No, thanks. This is the Portland mayor's came out Friday. We don't need your politics of division and demagoguery. Portlanders are onto you. What he writes There is no place for looting, arson or vandalism in our city. It has been going on for over 90 days. There's no room here for racist violence or those who wish to bring their ideology of hate into our community. You've been having it for over 90 days, Ted Wheeler. Right? When you send the feds to Portland last month, you made the situation far worse. You often repeat that disaster is a cynical attempt to stoke fear and distract us from the real work of our city. So he said, No. Your he ended his life took bits and pieces. He ended it by saying by writing. Stay away, please. The Portland mayor. Stay away, please. And then unfortunately, a trump supporter is shot to death by an antifa nut. An anti V terrorist. And Ted Wheeler came out yesterday morning with a little press conference. And he sounded really insane. Things that he's saying, just just really kind of kind of nuts. Let's start with 28. For 28 after you just heard him Tell the president. No thanks. I've seen what you done to stay away, please. This is what Ted Wheeler said yesterday. Here we go, and I'm ready to reach across any aisles. I need to reach across any political divides that I need to cross in order to bring us back together. Somebody's got to do it. I'm committed to it. I know my colleagues on the port, one city or committed to it. I'd like to hear the president of the United States say he's all in. Let's bring this great nation back together. So now after you tell the president stay away. I want nothing to do from you. I don't want your help. Now you want to reach across the aisle and you're saying the president needs to be in on this? The president has offered you help over and over and over again. And then who is responsible for these antifa trump hating terrorists and BLM aiding terrorists. BLM trump hating terrorist. I should say who is responsible for the violence? 27 here is Ted Wheeler, The nutty mayor of Portland. Listen to this. Do you seriously wonder? Mr President. Why This is the first time in decades that America has seen this level of violence. It's you who have created the hate in the division. It's you who have not found a way to say the names of black people killed by police officers, even as people in law enforcement have, and it's you who claimed that white supremacists are good people. He never said that. He never They continue with that lie about Charlottesville. We've played the audio of the president. How many times Ryan? Important, weak when it comes to what's gonna be happening as far as the Republican convention goes at the Democratic Convention, for that matter where we're in an election year, and everything just appears to be a wire going nuts, right? Everything appears to be just completely not so. Then we take a step back for a second. And we really take a look. Things aren't as bad as the news media would have us. Think. Things aren't as bad as maybe you talk shows. Whatever's think. And what I mean is My job is three hours a day, six days a week. And again the mayor Ted Wheeler, Horrible mayor. Completely inept. Incompetent and should not be the mayor of his house. Much less the city of Portland. Then you've got the governor, Kate Brown, inept, incompetent. A little tyrant. They're doing anything to stop it. This is what we see on social media is what we see on television and the whole world's burning to the ground. Not really. It's not really happening that way. It's happening important. Oregon in one section of Portland, Oregon. People there. Antifa and the group called Black Lives matter, which is a radical Marxist group Fact They're trying to burn down a federal courthouse. And they're trying to burn down a federal courthouse with federal agents inside. The mayor of Portland and the people of Portland are you know there has to come a point where you just I imagine. Where you might when I grew up in Detroit. Our next door. Neighbors were named rain early. They were the nicest people early in used to bake the best roles at Thanksgiving and send over. A bowl of thumb every year, and we devour the whole family would devour them long before we like our breakfast should send them over for dinner and which is usually like to, but we would devour them right away while they were still warm wrapped in the towel. And they were just the sweetest, nicest people. But one of their kids, they had a couple One of their kids. Roger. He had a problem with crack. So Roger wasn't necessarily the greatest guy to be around. He would break and what didn't live there anymore. But he would come back and get clean every once in a while and then relapse and go off on crack benches and would rob and steal from rain early. We had a key to Raider leans house because they were regularly somehow managed to lock themselves out of their own house, and I got sick of being lifted through their kitchen window to go in and unlock the door. They Like I said, great people, but somehow they managed to raise somebody who smoked crack. Roger has since died as A lot of people who smoke crack tend to find me and I didn't really know any other neighborhood probably wasn't upon reflection. The greatest neighborhood, but it was what we could afford and rain, Earlene. Didn't raise Roger any different than they raised the other kids. It's just that Roger became a crack addict. You can see. That bad kids can come from Good parents. But bad kids can also come from bad parents and out in Portland. We have a whole bunch of bad parents alleged parents. I mean, nobody's actually checked whether or not these people are really mothers or not, or fathers or not. It's an easy thing to claim, and it's an easy thing to prove to, but you'd have to be asked to prove it. But out in Portland, there is a A group of mothers. Who have decided that they have had enough of Trump's tyranny. Of Trump's fascism, what with the way that he has dispatched federal agents to Portland. To prevent the destruction of a federal courthouse. That's what they're doing. The mayor Ted Wheeler, I got a I can't imagine who was running against Ted Wheeler, where the people look at the balance. Go. A dirty, crusty sock or Ted Wheeler. I don't I don't have to toss a coin tails Ted Wheeler. That's the only way I can imagine somebody like Ted Wheeler winds. A position of trust in authority, hey, is mad. The president has sent out federal officers to protect federal property. Now the president had to do this because Ted Wheeler made it perfectly clear that he was not about to protect Federal property. That's the federal government's responsibility. So when you see Ted Wheeler on TV, clutching his pearls and all these so called journalists out there going with a fed showing up really Caused a problem out there. You have to keep in mind. That the mayor of Portland Not only ordered police to sort of allow the destruction of the property of Portland Police Union headquarters were burned stores have been smashed, deluded. So on and so forth. That he also said that federal building over there that's not our responsibility that's like that's like the Vatican City inside Rome. It's not really part of Portland. So don't even bother with that one. And so, of course, the mutant Army knew this and they went after it. So, the federal government said, We're going to go and protect their own property. They're not roaming the streets of Portland, as you may have heard. They are roaming the streets around the federal courthouse to prevent its destruction by mostly peaceful protest. You know, it's mostly peaceful destruction by it's mostly peaceful protesters. Without the feds know there's somebody In Portland. Enforcing the law. Even if it's just in a very small geographic area. That's enough. That has focused the attention of the mutant mob, and that has caused a lot of people to be arrested for destruction or attempted destruction of federal property. Well, while the mayor and the district attorney or whatever they have to call it out in Portland. Can control Charges being brought against the rioters. The mutant army is I affectionately call them They can't have an impact on the feds. The mayor can say police stand down. The prosecutor can say we're not going to bring charges against these people were arrested for assaulting police officers, which has got to make the cops feel really good, by the way. Now. Here I am arresting this guy. He he threw a brick at my partner and knocked him unconscious. Yeah, that's neat. They're free to go. We're not interested. Got to be great for morale. But they don't have that effect. They don't have that power. They don't have that ability. When it comes to federal charges. Federal government doesn't care separate tracks. Separate courts. Separate issues. The mutant army is facing conf ace Up to 10 years for destruction are attempted destruction of federal property. Which concerns Democrats out there. These air their voters, these air their base these air. They're brown shirts. You've got to make sure you got to protect the only throw the brownshirts as the fewer showed them. The only throw the brownshirts under the bus when you're done with them, and the left isn't quite done with them, so they must Protect them. So they're demanding the federal officers leave. They want the destruction of the federal building and as such a part of this coordinated effort by the left This group of Mom's The wall of Mom's as they call it have come out in Portland. "Reelection strategy, which seems focused on dividing the American people, and whether suburban voters in two thousand twenty will be as receptive to his message in November as they were in two thousand, sixteen, joining me now a frequent. President to Democratic Congresswoman from Massachusetts ianna Presley Congresswoman Presley thanks so much for joining US I do want to take a moment to start with the death of congressman and civil rights icon John Lewis. You broke barriers by becoming your Commonwealth's first black congresswoman. What example what leadership? What mentoring? Congress. Look Congressman Lewis. Consider myself in ordinary. Blessed, feeling simultaneously robbed I know. We had him for eight years, but you just can't have enough of that goodness. And, certainly I consider myself to be a beneficiary of his activism on there would be no Yana Presley and countless others were not for John, Lewis the conscience in the compass of our Congress, but I could argue for our nation it is especially painful to lose a justice seeker and a man with the moral clarity of John Lewis Against the backdrop at a new moment of racial reckoning in this country. When you see police states like what's happening in Portland, unrest, all around us voter intimidation suppression tactics. It is especially acute in painful to be losing him. Indeed amidst this racial reckoning as you call it this week, president trump honed in on an Obama era, fair housing law intended to combat segregation. The president is accusing Democrats of wanting to destroy. American suburbs take a listen. Your home will go down in value and crime rates will rapidly rise. Joe Biden and his bosses from the radical left. Wants to significantly multiply what they're doing now. And what will be the end result is? You will totally destroy the beautiful suburbs. You Happen to represent Boston suburbs What's your reaction to that? More of the same from from Donald Trump and this administration who ah, so the seeds of division, and I can't even accuse that characterize as a dog whistle. It's so far beyond that in so that's why I was hoping. The president would not even tweet yesterday about John Lewis. At this point, we don't anybody's sympathies. or tweets what we need is action. If you really want to honor the life of John Lewis. I'm you don't do things like gut? The fair housing laws. You don't a- so the seeds of division, and you don't delay bringing the voting rights advancement act named after John Lewis to the floor, and that should be brought to the floor immediately, so they're complete contradiction of everything that John Lewis fought for in dishonored the blood. He shed on that bridge. Do you consider that pitch at the president's making their? I think at the White House. Non Audit none of the campaign rally. You consider that campaign pitch to be racist. John Lewis said Donald. Trump is racist so i. don't I mean again at this point. This is so much bigger than his rhetoric unfocused and not don't allow myself to get distracted. I'm focused on his hateful hurtful policies I represent a district that has been hardest hit by those policies when it comes to their policies, the cruelty is the point when it comes to their culture. The corruption is the point I represented. District is fifty three percent people color. Forty percent foreign born were in a three mile radius life expectancy drops by thirty years in median household income by fifty thousand dollars, so my district is no anomaly, but it is certainly perfectly. The challenges that were confronted by the nation in helped policy has created those in under this administration. These inequities disparities in racial injustices exacerbated. Congresswoman let's talk about the difficult decision about whether or not schools should reopen in the fall amidst this pandemic, a recent poll found that almost a quarter of the families in your Commonwealth earn less than fifty thousand dollars, and they say they have too few devices to participate in online learning. Additionally according to feeding America, food insecurity is expected to increase by sixty percent for those who live in eastern Massachusetts as a result of the pandemic. As you know, many low income, families rely on school provided meals. At what point does the potential impact of remote learning on these families not to mention all the people who can't work because they have to take care of their kids. Does that outweigh the risks posed by returning to school? Jake Represent Massachusetts seven congressional district, the hardest hit district. In Our Commonwealth Chelsea in particular highest infection rates per capita. Randolph neighborhoods like Roxbury, Madison in Dorchester in Boston I'm engage in conversation. It's superintendents with. With. With students and the fear the trauma, Israel we cannot move too quickly on this. The the consequences are too great to consider. This is about the public health. What needs to happen is Congress needs to continue to act as the conscience of this nation to lead in the absence of the trump administration to provide recurring payments into to mitigate the financial hardship, and the burdens that families are feeling to continue continue to address food insecurity, but we should not rush to reopen schools. I do WanNa take a moment to just salute our educators. You know they have already proven themselves to be courageous and. And dedicated educators were now asking them to be case workers in some instances martyrs, and that is unconscionable again. We need to pass the hero. Zach would just sitting on the desk of Mitch McConnell. which makes massive federal investments to support the reopening of our souls win, it is safe and this viruses under control. In the meantime we just reported at an infrastructure bill, which makes those investments and broadband and other resourcing so that we are not contributing to learning loss or to an achievement gap, but our greatest wealth is is our public health, and that needs to be the number one priority. Congressman Presley Democrat of Massachusetts thanks for joining us today. Our thoughts and best wishes are with the people of the Commonwealth. Thank you so much for being with us today, agents and camouflage, detaining coach pastors and unmarked cars and vans. Is it legal? Is.
