Chicago's Lori Lightfoot Urges 'Call to Arms' Against Supreme Court

"We're going to lead the show today with Lori Lightfoot. Because it's just, it's just shocking. What's going on? Regarding some of these hysterical left wing reactions to the leaked scotus opinion by justice Alito. Chicago mayor Lori Lightfoot, I'm reading from the post millennial issues call to arms over U.S. Supreme Court. Lightfoot tweeted Monday night to my friends in the LGBTQ+ community. The Supreme Court is coming for us next this moment has to be a call to arms. She followed that up with. We will not surrender our rights without a fight, a fight to victory. Now, what makes this particularly appalling is if you contrast mayor lightfoot's tweets with that of her tweets around January 6th, 2021. During which she tweeted, I am in disbelief with what is unfolding in D.C. right now. President Trump and his enablers incited this violence, shame on every elected official in Congress and elsewhere who fomented this anti democratic insurrection by extremists. This is not democracy. This is a disgrace. So what's good for the goose should be good for the Gander here, miss

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, Who Called to Defund the Police, Has 7-Car Security Detail

"It's so cool to run into people from all over the country here at the shot show. I just met David lombardo from Chicago. He's, of course, 5 60. The answer listeners recognize him. Big Second Amendment guy. He's the president and founder of safer USA, a Chicago based firearms training school. And he just lamented, he also anchors the news here for the shot show. They have like their own internal TV network and he's the news anchor for the shot show. He's done it for 6 or 7 years. He pointed out that mayor Lori Lightfoot, who is all about defunding the police, has 7 patrol cars around her home. Guarding her and protecting her and her family. And when asked about that, she said, well, I got to protect my family. And yet she wants to defund the police. 7 patrol cars, he said, well documented well established, guarding Lori Lightfoot at her home. The hypocrisy and the insanity of the left is on display.

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot Blames Union Leaders for ‘Chaotic Conduct’

"Okay, let me play for you the most important things that happen yet. Chicago school, teachers went out on strike, the mayor of Chicago, Lori Lightfoot said this. Cut 16. Enough is enough. We are standing firm and we are going to fight to get our kids back in person learning. Period, full stop. I hope it's period full stop. I don't believe her. She hasn't issued the patco threat that Ronald Reagan did. Do your job or lose your job? Come to work or don't ever come back to her. Lori Lightfoot only said, we're gonna fight for that. She did not threaten the teachers with discharge. Again, play it. Cut number 16. Enough is enough. We are standing firm and we are going to fight to get our kids back in person learning. Period, full stop. All right, I hope that's correct. Guy Benson, who's on special report with Brett Bayer last night, expanded on the silver lining to the Chicago teacher union strike. Cut number 15. To go to have the president go to Chicago and stand by Chicago mayor Lori Lightfoot. Some people are saying, maybe that is a good thing for him to do. All right, for him to say something as opposed to having other folks say, oh, the president's been clear. He'd like to see schools open. Stand up, mister president. To these political allies of yours and tell them to get back into classrooms and stop harming children. Look, if you did that, that'd be good. I would give him one cheer, not two or three. Same with mayor lightfoot. I'm glad some Democrats are finally saying these things. The problem is these are the politicians who have coddled and indulged and enabled exactly these types of really abuses for the last year and a half flying in the face of science. These teachers unions have learned that they can get away with these things and to belatedly try to catch up to public opinion and finally acknowledge the science here is better late than never, but still not particularly impressive, I would say. That's the issue that Democrats are facing. The one silver lining Brett in my view, and it's hard to find one because kids are hurting as they have been for two years, is that some of the things that conservatives have been saying about teachers unions and school choice have basically been amplified playing out in a two year long infomercial, and this is extremely high profile and maybe some parents and some leaders will wake up.

'You're a Disgrace': Police Dispatcher Takes Aim at Mayor Lori Lightfoot

"There is a Chicago police ditch. This dispatcher excuse me. His name is Keith Thornton, not happy with Lori Lightfoot, who just last year transferred what was it about $80 million, $100 million, forget what it was. Out of the police budget for youth programs. And now, Lori Lightfoot wants to be tough on crime. Now she sounds like dirty Harry. Keith Thornton, Chicago, police dispatcher, not amused. It's a complete disaster. It's smoke and mirrors, guys. Smoke and mirrors. And I'm hot about it. Because this mayor does not care about Chicago police officers period. She doesn't care about any first responders. She doesn't care about the damn city. Doesn't matter if you're white, black, Asian, Hispanic, other, straight, gay, Democrat, or Republican. She don't even care about her city workers. All that lady cares about is a self. And I pray you're watching this. Because you're a disgrace. And I'm tired of it. And your city is tired of it. As a matter of fact, it's not your city. The city of Chicago is tired of it. And I know you don't like me. And that's okay. Because I love you. But I'm tired of you. 'cause you're an absolute disgrace to everyone within the city. She's taken away resources and manpower and saying you. You and your constituents. I'm not giving you the officers up there. Make them split them and make them 99 cars to go by themselves. And if something happens all going to news, several days later and act like I gave a and say, I'm sorry for the loss to this suction such family.

"Lori Lightfoot from Chicago has announced that you are not allowed to go to bars, restaurants, gyms and entertainment venues in Chicago without showing proof of vaccination. Even though the vaccination is showing to be nowhere near as effective as they said it would. Now, mayor Lori Lightfoot is super concerned that a 7 year old might try to go into the magnificent mile without being with being unvaccinated. But mayor Lori Lightfoot is silent on the fact that there have been 833 total homicides in Chicago this year, 4447 people total shot. 3663 people shot and wounded and 784 people shot and killed in downtown Chicago. Lori Lightfoot is more worried about checking your papers if you want to go to Gibson's steakhouse or checking your papers if you want to go shopping with your family.

Jen Psaki Breaks With Progressives on Smash-and-Grab Robberies: 'We Don't Agree'

"Is wrong. This crime surge is happening and we must not look the other way. Here was Jen Psaki yesterday in this exchange with Fox News channels Jackie Heinrich. Chicago mayor Lori Lightfoot appeared to pass the blame on to retailers for these smashing grads saying that she's disappointed that these stores are not for the security officers who plays them working cameras and chaining up Cayenne bags, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, congresswoman said earlier this week also that she doubted allegations of organized retail thefts which you believed it was a Walgreens in California that cited it with a giant didn't back it up. Does the president believe that organized retail theft is really happening and should it be on the stores themselves to take action to prevent it? Well, we don't agree. And I think our actions and the work that we have had in working with the Justice Department, the FBI and federal law enforcement show that we take, we have seen some of these extremely video extremely disturbing videos showing retail thefts and both major retailers as well as state and local leaders like governor Newsom have identified this as a serious concern. We agree. That's the reason why we have sent additional support from the FBI, providing additional assistance. It's one of the reasons why we have also been the president and members of our administration have been long time advocates for supporting and funding the cops program something where the president proposed almost 300 million in additional assistance through his budget from what it was last year and why we have also provided money to get a Friday provided financial assistance to get money to hire 50 more police officers through the cops program that the president has championed in places like San Francisco and additional 20 officers in Los Angeles. So I think his record speaks for itself on this. We are going to continue to advocate for supporting programs like the cops program, ensuring that our law enforcement are good partners as we're working to address these retail thefts across the country. I'm no fan of the Biden administration. I'm no fan of The White House press secretary, but that's the right answer. It is. We got to stop this insanity of progressives trying to convince the country we shouldn't believe our line eyes. This crime wave the surge in crime is real.

Matt Rosenberg: There Is a Problem of Moral Authority in the City of Chicago

"I'm talking to matt rosenberg from chicago and the book is what next chicago. You're just telling us something really nuts. You're seeing that mayor lori lightfoot Was quoting john lennon's beautiful but insipid song. Imagine in response to some killings. Tell us more about that just so that we understand what in what context was she doing this right while i put it this way that she is channeling john lennon. She did not name him what she did. Say after a mass shooting. In which a number of people were killed was it's a whole essentially. She said it's a whole different ballgame if we don't have all these guns around and the absurdity of that is that it's the proclivity to shoot a gun for spurious reasons. That is the real issue here. I think common commonsense observers understand that so the hard part here is going back to a failure among parents. You know the hard part here to me is the issue of what i like to call in eric. This was growth experience for me. I had to confront. What is the central problem here. And i realized it's centered around something that i decided i would call moral authority. This is probably an area in which you have some experience of thinking and writing and and analyzing i realized it's a pretty basic definition what that what's constituted within that but there are maybe only five percent of chicago's one million households that are not living with moral authority but that's a large enough number to affect a tyranny of the minority which means it's not safe to be out on the streets which means that schools k twelve public schools are in state of disorder. Where police are required to be onsite breaking up fights guarding students against violence from other students. There's a great pressure on the county court system because of a small relatively small handful of miscreants who have an outsized effect on the city's so there is a problem of moral authority in the city

Hello mike hi. Thanks for taking my talk call. You're doing a great job. Say i'm not surprised at the mayor because she's been showing her true colors for years. She's always hated police. She wouldn't let anyone go to comiskey park wingfield baseball games but she was in the paper sky box with her family. She could do things no one else can do. And they're the same. And i don't know if you know this but a week before. This police officer was tragically killed. It was on the internet but the local news for refuse to pick up. The police officers were attacked and beaten and they are afraid to pull their weapons out absolutely. I'm glad that you brought up that example mike because there was a similar incident just a few days ago in boston in front of the boston public library where police three police officers were brutally beaten by someone who they were wanting to arrest in who is of course resisting arrest. "Lori Lightfoot was given the cold shoulder. Chicago police officer L. A French, as you know, was killed. Just moments before about 30 officers turned their backs on the mayor Lightfoot tried to talk to the mayor, Officers, father The male officers file and none of the one the one in severe critical condition. Who himself is a retired Chicago police officer. He clearly wanted nothing to do with life foot, according to two sources who were there. The father excoriated the mayor and blamed her for what had happened. One source said Lightfoot handled herself well. Obviously one of the PR flacks for her. As the father yell at her, she listened and treated him with respect. Then it was suggested Lightfoot's a few words to nearby grieving officers. But as she approached, they all walked away from her to the other side of the Bank of chairs turn their backs. On her. Sources said. Um And even her statement was so bizarre.

That's typically a less structured part of the day when the mayor can think right or make long term plans or tell the police officers to stop chasing perps. Whatever whatever they do in Chicago. Finally, exclamation point. Question Mark. 13 times. This is like the shining. Here's Johnny. That's what you call a late. Q. If you're wondering Well. The note drew criticism from everybody who's reddit, including the E I B team, which we found kind of funny. You may remember Shelley Duvall's character in the Shining. Her mentally deteriorating husband, Joe Biden. I'm sorry. Jack Nicholson. Remember, he said. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy 1000 times. You can Maybe. She should stop doing that. Maybe do some leadership instead. That was pretty crazy. She kind of reminds me more Beetlejuice, though less of the whole shining thing, But more of Beetlejuice and then after the press conference, Uh oh, by the way, she did say that she solved all these challenges, she told the Chicago Tribune. This was five months ago. We're all in a better place. Now. Then she chopped her way through a door with an axe. But she couldn't do that because axes are banned in Chicago. Here's rush. Let me read to you. What? The mayor of Chicago, Lori Lightfoot, who's a friend said a couple days ago in a news conference. Asked her if she was an originalist. Here's what she said. You ask a gay black woman if she's an originalist No, ma'am, I am not that Constitution didn't consider me a person in any way, shape or form because I'm a woman because I'm black because I'm gay. I'm not an originalist now. On a surface level. I understand that But Surface is how shallow this is. Ms Lightweight is essentially saying. That this country Is not anything special because it wasn't even acknowledge my existence. This country had nothing to say about me. It didn't want to protect me and didn't want to give me any rights. He didn't want to do it because I didn't fit. The mold. I wasn't a rich white man. I've heard this from a lot of African Americans my whole life, and I remember the first time I heard it. It moved me. I said this. I totally understand this. This time went on. Like everything else. I believe in I I began to create rejoinders ways to Come back at this. Because, whereas Lori lightweight Doesn't think the Constitution was anything for her. What is she now? The mayor of Chicago. How did it happen? How did a woman who thinks that the Constitution didn't even consider her a person? In any way. How is she end up being the mayor of Chicago? And the answer is the very document that she thinks Left her out of everything. Was the document that permitted Maybe the wrong word that contained within its Writings, the ability to change it to amend it to evolve. And by the consent of the governed by the consent of the people. She is now considered a full fledged person. Because the constitution was malleable. It was Adaptable. I think it's a testament to the brilliance of the Constitution. The Constitution was Really etched in stone is like these people want you to believe that the costumes was so bad that we've got to get rid of it. Then what's happened to Lori? Light foot should never have happened. She should still be For signing a non grata. She should still be invisible. She should still be somebody that is unnoticed. But she's the mayor of Chicago. A lot of people. And to engage in a lot of fights. For that to happen, but it still did. But Russia is not objective Constitution objecting to the notion of originalism. Yes, it was originalism. It was originalists. Who structured the document in such a way that it remained intact. While accommodating these changes that it retains its forum, it retained its purpose. The people that wrote the Constitution. Same people wrote the declaration in a sense, and they knew that the founding of the country everybody go through this over and over and over again, but it was necessary to form a union in order to rebel against Great Britain. And the union forming was key and back In those days there was slavery in some of the 13 colonies. Deals had to be made. If you go back and read some of the things written and debated There was not massive support the founding days of this country for slavery. In fact, most of the heretofore white founding fathers were repulsed by it. And knew it couldn't survive. The country wouldn't survive with that. Aspect of it point is that an originalist document was not rigid at all. It was not incapable of change. There's no reason to hate The Constitution. It's not reason to hate originalism. She's now the mayor of Chicago. She may think that that all happened despite the Constitution Constitution that have a role in it. Disagree. Even so, she's a smart woman. The fact that you can't see that anybody can't see Genuine brilliance. That is the United States Constitution troubles me anyway, because Take away your personal stake in things. Take away the idea that you think governments there for you. Take away the fact that the purpose of governments to give you this and give you that make sure this happens to you if you take that away from everything And have a healthy understanding. Of the political formations that comprise the United States. It is one of the most Timeless, brilliant. Documents ever conceived by humanity. Inability to see that because of personal grievance. I just It's a shame. I wish it weren't the case. I wish people like Lori Lightfoot have the ability to see it a different way. Read it and carry around 200 years where the grudges that not productive Another example of the brilliance of rush and if only more college professors can speak. As eloquently as that if they could speak like that about Those topics. What a different world we would be in You know, it's interesting it it I keep. I keep thinking of critical race theory and how destructive it is. It's poison. It's poison. And when you look around the country, why is it that some of the Most high profile successful people. Whether they be Barack Obama or Oprah. Or Jay Z, or, in the case of Mayor Lori Lightfoot, the first black gay mayor. They do so much whining. Mean.
