"All right, let's get back to the subject at hand, the government is crooked. And I'm not gonna sit here and lie and act like only the Democrats are crooked. I think the Democrats have gotten crooked her, they've gotten so crooked. They amass any corruption that could possibly have come from the Republican Party, in my opinion. David Matt, they've gone up and beyond. You got crimes being committed in front of the world. And they're turning a blind eye to it. All of the theft and corruption in election in 2020, it's just beyond me. Mayor Garland should have been investigating people pulling ballots from up on a boxes. I mean, it'll take it on take a rocket scientist to see this. When you have ballots coming from up under tables, in suitcases, you owe it to the American people to come out and make a statement. Sit there for three hours and explain what we saw, what was done about it, and how this was inconsequential to the election. You can't just say all these election deniers. What are you talking about, man? We've seen it. I know a person who illegally voted in the state of Arizona. That person was reported to the powers in Arizona and ain't done Jack. You know what? They ain't done nothing. They don't care. This person should at least get charged for committing voter fraud. On video, but they don't care. They turn a blind eye to it. And ladies and gentlemen, we got to win so bad that there's not enough cheating. They can get these people on, you know, get these people to win over us. Let me chase you some more hypocritical stuff that I think needs to be brought out. Clinton organization funded an energy project for Warnock for his church. After he defended Hillary Clinton, let me just read this to you. It says Clinton global initiative, which is the fraudulent money laundering scheme of an organization.

"Be back after the break. This is the officer Tatum show. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to the officer Tatum show. I want to start with a couple calls. I think this is right around the subject that I want to talk about Merrick Garland. What a scumbag. I told myself I didn't want to say that crazy about these people. I can't help it, man. These people are complete scumbags. Let me go with Jose from California, welcome to the outside of the show. Hi, officer Tatum. I love your show. I love your values. And I love your passion for this country. So yeah, like you, I saw that political ad that says Merrick Garland is doing a general commission or counsel to investigate Donald Trump. This is so upsetting. And I want to ask you what you think about it. Right. Jose, thanks so much for the call. Yeah, I think that, you know, you know, this is what bothers me about these things. Is that when Republicans had the house, the Senate, and the presidency, Donald Trump allowed them to do a special counsel against him. Why didn't Republicans do special counsels against them? I don't understand. We had the power. We had to leverage, it could be these rhinos. It's like, no, no, no. After y'all done doing a special counsel against president Trump for fake Russia collusion and all that. Now let's start a special counsel for Joe Biden and hunt about it. We should have been investigating them before the election. Before he ever declared he was going to run because we knew that they were going to put that old man up there. And this is par for the course. Republicans come out and say we're going to investigate Biden. They're going to come out and investigate Trump. And in the problem with this is, and I want you to be very clear about this. The problem is that the investigation from the government into the current president makes sense. Because it's called the equal branches of government and checks and balances. Our Congress should be putting forth an investigation if there is allegations that our current president executive branch is doing anything nefarious. But for our government to target the candidate that can run against the current president, it's asinine to me. It's as none of me. Now, of course, mayor Garland tried to make it seem like it was balanced in the middle, but his projection and his pursuit is exclusively towards Donald

"Here's The Wall Street Journal editor. Well, first let me play a little audio because there's a lot of great audio on this yesterday. Let's start with senator Rick Scott on Fox business with degan McDowell, cut number 8. Well, first of all, it makes you mad. I mean, this is unprecedented. A former president potential opponent to Biden in 24 is house gets rated. We know the Biden administration targets their opponents. Merrick Garland's targets, democratic opponents. This is well, here's what needs to happen today. Separately, mayor Garland, Christopher wray, Joe Biden need to do press conference, take all questions, explain why they're doing what they're doing, what each of them knew when this should scare every American until we get answers. This should be, you should have unbelievable concern. I got more phone calls. Let's go over to Ted Cruz. Cut number 13. That's exactly right. What we've got to do is win control of the House and Senate so that we have the authority to engage in oversight. It was interesting that the director of the FBI was there for one round of questions. At the end of the round of questions, we were supposed to have a second round. He said, no, I got a plane to catch. I'm sorry I gotta go. He didn't want another round of questions as chuck grassley observed. Wait a second. You've got your own plane. The FBI has a private jet just for you, so you're playing to catch it. You just don't want to have any more investigation. We need serious oversight. We need accountability. The people who have been political and partisan need to be fired. And if they broke the law right, let's hear Marco Rubio say the same thing. Cut number ten. You know, an FBI raid looking for supposed classified documents is a ridiculous alibi. Unlike anyone else in the federal government, no president can be guilty of illegally handling classified information because a president has complete and final authority to decide whether something is classified or not.

"A lot Jeff and Winslow Arizona hey Jeff what's on your mind today Tom I'm calling to maybe solve the mystery of Joe Biden Biden's lower approval rating And I believe it's because naturally when a Republican is defined they're not going to approve But there could be many independents and Democrats that answer the phone and say they don't approve because Trump walks free All Trump's gang walk free They're all over the Internet They're all over the news They're everywhere preaching the same criminal behavior that they always did and nothing happens about it I think that's half of it Jeff I think the other half of it is that when those surveys were done where he was really in the tank that was the time that Kirsten sinema and Joe Manchin were taking money from while Manchin's deep in the coal industry and the fossil fuel industry and cinema was taking money from big pharma and from a bunch of different groups and in order to sabotage the democratic agenda I think people were just pissed off And I certainly was I still am And so if somebody calls us as Biden doing a good job well he can't get this through Congress He's got these two Democrats that he won't knock upside the head so no I'm not I'm not happy with him I mean that would be my response to a pollster Well it wouldn't be in mind because you know how candidates I get solicitations because I donate some senators were out and never even I ain't nowhere near those states But anyway I don't know why they all got these surveys What's most important to you You got it the idea to get it Right Never never do they have Trump as a choice and jailing Trump as a choice I got to mark the other box and then put in there these words None of the rest of that matters If you continue to let him live because the only reason you don't mean Liv you need walk around free Yeah like he does Yeah thank you With these arthritis kicking in from the concrete and steel That's where it should be And when you kill that happens it doesn't matter if you've got built back bigger or what we got because the democracies going away it's going away So all these things that are wonderful for us to debate about if they're good policies ain't going to matter Yeah I get it Jeff I can't disagree with you Because the deal cases come may they're not going to pursue any political prosecution There's some kind of stupid unwritten rule that they have So this is February my friend We had a year nothing nothing And it's going to stop That Republican mayor Garland that Obama picked because he thought the Republicans would vote for him He still a Republican Yes We'll see Jeff I share your I share your concerns.

"And he chose Merrick Garland as his attorney general. Instead of a hunt, if I had a list of a hundred, Merrick Garland would be a hundred. Okay. He wouldn't even make my list of a hundred. First off. But if he had to be on the list, he'd be last. When he nominated Merrick Garland, it was like, why did you do that? And he made it out. Joe Biden made it out like it was like his owed to president Obama, but this was never who president Obama really wanted on the Supreme Court. That was just him having a showdown with Republicans. Merrick Garland is about as conservative of an attorney general as Democrats have had in a very long time. Certainly not during the Clinton administration or the Obama administration, did they have any attorney general, as conservative as mayor Garland, and not only has he been conservative politically. In terms of what he's been willing to take on, but he's been. I'm trying to think of the right word of. Lame quiet, slow to do anything. Including his is almost complete unwillingness. To take on the January 6th insurrection and the people who were behind it in any kind of truly vocal way, including willing to take on any case of police violence that was either dropped by the Obama administration or failed by the Trump administration, the only cases he's taking on, like, say George Floyd. That case has already been prosecuted. Like, thank you for taking it on anyway. I guess? Or the man who murdered ahmaud Arbery? Like, okay, okay, thank you for prosecuting them again. Those men are about to get life in prison, but thank you for adding double life. And it's like, hold on, what about Breonna Taylor? What about Eric Garner? You know, what about John Crawford? What about so many cases that were ignored? What about philando Castile? Like, what about the cases that have been dropped or ignored over the past ten years? And basically it's been crickets. What about exonerating the thousands and thousands of people who are still in prison over a cannabis and marijuana weed crimes? You know what about really doing things that show you care about your voters? And here we are. Now heading into year two of the Biden administration. And yeah, I give mayor Garland enough. And I know several people that work under him and for him, including some of his highest ranking staff, and they've basically been I don't want to use the word handcuffed because in the context of justice, but they've basically been prohibited. From doing the things that we know they can do. And that's Merrick Garland. And it's Joe Biden. And. And here we are. You know, a year after the insurrection and the Justice Department has done very.

The radical prosecutor in charge of the january six of january of the january six investigations. You know julie when it comes to this this this guy channing phillips this this us attorney for dc. They say the justice justice is blind but justice I think his eyes are wide open. This guy knows exactly what he's doing you wrote about his father. And then i wanna get into some of these quotes that you have from him tweets and re tweets or whatever from eric holder. And i this is. This is insane. There's no way these guys can get a fair trial under this guy. So talk to me about his father. The reverend channing e phillips yes so his father was a well known civil rights activist in the sixties reverend He reportedly helped create the black united front. People like marion berry and still keith. Carmichael he Was nominated in the nineteen sixty eight. Democratic national convention nominated are nominated him for president. He also ran for congress Since he was an early civil rights you know black. Black leader Which is fine. You know we need. We need those leaders back in the day. Still need them now. But when you veer from trying to You know advance. Civil rights for minorities make sure that they have equal protections under the law of equal opportunities. But now that veers into the only way to bring quality is to punish people Like white trump supporters For whatever reason or some kind of judicial reparations or whatever however you would want to describe it This is cheney phillips is not some guy who came out of nowhere he is. Dc beltway aristocracy. Because his father was he's lived in dc his entire life. He worked for robert mother. He worked for eric holder again. There's a reason why they picked him to now. Lead up this investigation. And when i'm reading the things in court documents or hearing what has prosecutors are saying accusing men of being domestic terrorist people with no criminal record. People accused of no violent crime because safer examples like paul hodgkins. Lifted trump twenty twenty flag in the senate chamber channing phillips prosecutors accused that man of being a domestic terrorist in court and in court documents. Now think about that carl. None of those labels have been attached to real terrorist who terrorizes country for weeks and months on end in cities across the country. Who still chair is people. they are. Who are how about the people. Who were harassed. Lawmakers such as paul and his wife after they left the white house event in september. What always people call domestic terrorists. No those people are called heroes. They are called the resistance. That trump people are college domestic terrorists and they're called that by channing phillips and has prosecutors extending into obviously the doj under mayor garland with the issue of school board members. And all this kind of stuff. It's funny how they're using this terminology over and over again in in in order to Foment fear in the hearts and the minds of people But also they get into these. They get into this courtroom setting You know phillips hasn't been lenient with the nearly what six hundred fifty six protesters at now at an and these the the counts on which the things on which they're being charged for are so insignificant. It's not even funny. But they've added a twist where they can keep these guys in a little longer and these guys aren't even getting released Before their trial dates. Can you talk to us about that. A little bit. This is this is insane. Contain so channing phillips office and his predecessor. Michael sherwin have sought pretrial detention for more than a hundred of these january sixth defendants. Now carl what that means is the families. Don't even have a chance to make bail. They're automatically denied. And this is request by The doj asking the court to deny these men release awaiting trial because they're a danger to their community because they had the audacity to protest. Joe biden's election. This is what they're basing these men dangerousness level on. So you have right now. Seventy people who are in pre trial detention more than three dozen in this jail in dc specifically set aside for january six protesters some has been incarcerated since the middle of january. And he's judges in dc continue to deny their relief. The appellate court has overturned two of those rulings but their trial date. They're being pushed into the middle of next year. Midterm election season Because the deal. Jay slow walking their evidence. There's complaints all over the place about lack of discovery about lack of violation of Breeding material The defense still doesn't not have all the video evidence that they need. that could be exculpatory. Because of course the government has control over all of the video evidence they've collected including fourteen thousand hours from us capitol police surveillance cameras. So everyone is hand tied by the justice. Department there weaponising And really just they're punishing. These people terrorizing them. What's happening to them and their families. I just talked to detainees today. is really heartbreaking. It's outrageous and it is the political Politicization of our justice department. And it's not gonna end and because republicans have sat by silently for the most part and said absolutely nothing. Is this now nine month abusive. You said investigation control. i mean. obviously this is Obviously you won't necessarily know the answer to this question per se but what is the deal with republicans. Because i'm sitting here thinking what can be done. I mean these people are essentially in my mind up political political prisoners excuse me and i don't understand why republicans when they have an opportunity to call out injustice and to get on the offense. It's just this is. This is just weird to me. I i don't get. I don't understand it. Republicans the leadership if they're intimidated if they don't wanna go up against a black man or if they're scared of being branded racist. I don't understand this. You know besides the fact that okay. They don't necessarily like trump. We were all realizing realizing map. But for the sake of the integrity of our justice department you would think more republicans would stand up. We have a minute left. Julie publicans gave lisa monaco..

Nearly eighty million americans not vaccinated. That's twenty five percent at twenty. Five percent can cause a lot of damage and they are the unvaccinated overcrowd- our hospitals are overrunning emergency rooms in intensive care units. In a statement mayor garland said he will shield the clinics and the states abortion ban by enforcing the face act. It prohibits making threats against patients seeking reproductive health services and obstructing clinic entrances. The act comes with the threat of fines up to one hundred thousand dollars or more for repeat offenders as well as the potential for prison time the texas law came into effect last week and effectively bans abortions in the state after six weeks it also allows civil suits to be brought against anyone involved in carrying out or helping someone get a prohibited abortion in the state their concerns and upcoming wing rally could lead to more violence on capitol hill former fbi. This time january sixth failure primarily because you had a massive group of people and a complete failure of preparation in this case. It looks likely that they'll get a somewhat smaller crowd. "If people are trying to be moderate are they going to automatically be demonized as radicals by the other side no matter what. The analysis of the left is that the six percent of your party that is the hard progressive left has a disproportionate amount of influences in alienating. As far as i've done my research about twenty six percent of your party with their policies so there's definitely a crisis in the democratic left as there is a crisis but a smaller one in the conservative right with those that are aligned with trump. I'm gonna political room for fifteen years. And cheney might not call it a smaller. But i'll feed your point because you you criticize a little spearhead of of that problem for us and i'm gonna say for us because i'm aligned i'm aligned. I like trump dishonest as gnome. I like i think pompeo it'd be a great great leader but there is a real issue of who's in charge of the democrat party for us and we see that alienating so it's hard to trust that joe's a moderate and i will say i know his whole. I know his whole we talking about here. Joe biden item. I know i know his history. And i agree that you put him in office because you thought he was actually less hard left progressive and representing more of america. But he's pretty weak. We're not seeing. You've never had a president saying i'm gonna get in trouble. I'm gonna get in trouble. I'm going to get in trouble. He's not in his power. The way trump was just on an external of view. Just being an american citizen doesn't seem to me that in his administration that he's absolutely in charge so it feels like elements that aren't aligned. Your core base have a lot of influence. Things i've seen joe do is destroy jobs. I seen him accommodate china. I seen him back often. Iran deal in the first hundred and one hundred sixty days that he's been in office. You've seen that. That's what he said. Come on one twentieth. But he's setting that tone. Let me just finish is what he did with guns in was very aggressive this earth. He's only been president january. What do you do with critical race. Serious deferent- a run and climate is being accommodate climates. The biggest burn of money we can. We can take on right now. We set it on the side. Do you notice you guys. Let go of climate for a while. Because you couldn't have. Climate through paris accord it became a political tool it. Look i love. I love nature but we need to fix it in a rational. We don't need to destroy oil jobs and gut energy independence. It took a seventy six years to get to energy independent. So i'm not seeing a rational president from a right leaning point of view and i liked this conversation klay. I'm not here to get in your face. Or i want to hear what you have to say because we're unhappy to well. I mean i'm wondering as i hear you say these things if we're not at a place where maybe at some point. We all have to just accept. We're going to be unhappy and going to disagree with a president. If they aren't in our party i mean i i hear the things that you're saying and i recognize that they are not. I mean the nice thing about this country is we do have checks and balances do have a system in place where not only are there three separate branches but even within one of those branches there are two separate houses that things have to go through both of them and in one of those houses you have to get sixty percent of our system is set up in such a way that it is really tough to get things passed. It's not as simple as joe biden being president and saying. Here's what i wanna do. And simply because they they happen to have a majority in the legislative branch. Things get passed anything that gets passed including most of the stuff in his first one hundred however many days. We're at now head to pass his desk through the house through the senate where it had to get more than sixty votes with a few exceptions and then had to be signed by him. We're not talking about some sort of dictatorship where he is in control of everything or where alexandria across cortes corey buscher in control of everything. We're talking about a system that was set up to make it deliberative and that every law that gets passed has to have some sort of like can't just be enacted without any deliberation and yes when donald trump was president and republicans controlled both the house and the senate that made my stomach turn a lot because there were things that i really didn't agree with but it was difficult for me as per just me to say well this is absolutely anathema to what everybody in the country wants because at the end of the day they controlled that republicans control the house and the senate because they were voted for and i criticize my own party often for not making stronger arguments. Is it not possible that maybe republicans didn't win. Some of these elections because of their arguments weren't strong enough sure. Of course there's a system but since you're talking about the system. I think a really important thing for us to know why you think you know. Even though we have these three branches there over three hundred pieces of legislation that were by passed by both parties. That went to harry. Reid and ansi pelosi desk. During the obama years the process called black hold they were just killed right so you can use executive orders. You can black hole bills and you can shut down the process. You're right you're absolutely right. And i think mayor garland would be the person who could tell us most about that because republicans have done it too and you agree with that. Yeah i would absolutely room. And that's what i'm saying is we are going to be as not to mess up your themed. Show this'll be. Maybe we can't get along the more work buddy. I was a lifelong liberal. I was a socialist in a matter. Of fact i everybody socialist win. They're in their teens and twenties. It's quite right until they like trump kidding right now. look tax. Tab top tax bracket are in california nationally. Now between is saying california. Most people i've i've been told by so many of them other conservative friends that california the liberal hellhole. And everybody's leaving. Why are you still there. Why haven't you left yet. I surf that easy. Well i'm gonna beaches georgia and florida have beaches to south carolina. I don't have swell. I listen. I will say i'm already. I'm moving. we're talking about moving. Six months a year to another place. And i go there and i'm like oh california's amazing. So you know the bottom line. My uncle said something great. He was head vice president vice president of merrill lynch for forty two years and he says you know no matter who's in party. He goes taxes. Go up and say we'll just work harder. That's the american way. So you know you just gotta work harder during the thing. That what we're going in i look back. This is a perfect point. Pivot point for this. The supply side economics background. I'm i'm gonna top five institutional real estate firm. I open my own firm. I've been in the real estate. Markets will in time and you know the the nation shifts between supply-side and.

"The voting rights act is focused rightly so on race. Because that was you know kind of the defining issue when it was passed but voter suppression doesn't just target Based on their race. They also for instance. You know there's a long history of targeting young people for voter suppression and the federal government has significantly less power to deal with that. So you know. It's not that the justice department is powerless. And in fact again they they. They introduced the attorney. General announced some very powerful moves that they're gonna take but there's only so much they can do under current law. Well so let's get to current law and possible solutions ride because for all his positive intent. Right mayor garland can only do so much as you say It's clear that that the big voting rights bill on the hill. The democrats want is not going to pass because of The senate filibuster and all of that stuff and people have heard that news. There is the john. Lewis voting rights act. Which has a slightly better chance. What happens i guess. Is the really downer question. What happens if congress can't get his act together and figure out what to do about this. Well you know. I disagree that i think it's not yet clear. Absolutely they can't pass. I agree that there are a political hurdles. And i but i wanna i wanna say that. They really need to get their act together. You know what is scary to me. Is this normalization of the idea that you can manipulate voting rules for partisan advantage that that's kind of a legitimate tactic and the single most powerful thing that can be done in response to that which is what the the for the people act s one. Hr one does. Is it sets this basic standard minimum standard for access to the ballot box. That would apply. Nationwide and i think it's absolutely critical that the federal government do that.
