A fighter pilot, a fearless leader, and patriot, who has pushed the military to adapt for 21st century challenges. All that makes general C C Brown junior, the president's pick to be the next joint chiefs of staff chairman, succeeding Mark milley, whose term ends in the fall. She kills absolutely superb and I am looking forward to a speedy confirmation. Mississippi went from being ranked the second worst state in 2013 for fourth grade reading to 21st in 2022, Louisiana and Alabama were among only three states to see modest gains in fourth grade reading during the pandemic. This has been one of the most rewarding years of my career. Simone Hart is a literacy teacher at Schoenberg elementary school in New Orleans. Pastor Allen Jackson Exposes Shocking Truth About Silent Churches

"Welcome back. I'm talking to my friend pastor Alan Jackson author of the book big trouble ahead. We're talking about a lot of things. And you were talking about we were talking about this issue of courage. I really do think I said it that there's a sifting going on that things are so bad that your average American is looking for truth, looking for leadership, looking for courage, and when churches dare to talk about these things, as you do at world outreach, they're finding greater audiences, sometimes online, and in person, but I hear this over and over again. The churches that invite me tend to be the ones that they all have the same story that we've grown since COVID. More people are coming. And the churches that refuse to talk about this stuff that want to quote unquote stick to the theology as though you could, which you can't. But they are wanting to go back to, I don't know, 2015, 1985. I don't know where they think we can go back to. But what I say is this is silence in the face of evil. God will not hold us guiltless. You are obliged to talk about these things. You're obliged to connect the dots. You're not doing you're actually not preaching the whole council of scripture if you avoid some of these hot button issues or if you refuse to make the connections from what the scripture says to what we do about it in our lives today. If I could speak to the pastors or even the board members of the presbyteries or the leadership in those congregations, Christian leaders are trained to study the social context from which scripture emerged. There's been hundreds of hours learning about first century culture. So you can understand the New Testament or tenth century BC culture, so you could understand the monarchy in Israel. It makes no sense to understand first century culture and then not apply your faith to the 21st century culture. So we are not breaking the traditions of Christianity to become some sort of political activist. We're following our training. Our faith can only be understood in the light of the world we live in. To do less than that is to deny your faith. It's a false church. It's a false gospel. It's another gospel. It's not a new thing. It's happened throughout history.

Was Socrates Anti-Democracy?

"Here's question number one. Admittedly, I have not read much about the man Socrates other than a philosophy one O one course and college decades ago right now, however, I'm reading a book by IF stone called the trial of Socrates. In this book, the author indicates that Socrates was quite contrary to democracy and that he also seemed somewhat antisocial. Should you rethink the name of your conferences? I get an unexamined life is not worth living quote that probably underpins your event. But however, maybe opaque in the 21st century is a better name. Just a thought God bless you are, I guess, in the 21st century. Yeah. How about, I don't think so. I guess, in the 21st century, you think that that might be better than Socrates in the city. Catchy. I got to be honest with you, friend. I don't think nobody, including Alban just now. Can pronounce it. Tell me, because it's Greek, and I know Slovenian, but no, and the idea that Socrates was contrary to democracy, let me just tell you, he also didn't believe in the lord Jesus. But the reason it's called Socrates in the city is because he was Greek and that's all that matters to me. Ladies and gentlemen, okay? You want to know what matters to me. He's Greek, good enough. No, the fact that he said the unexamined life is not worth living, implies. And I say this almost at the beginning of every Socrates event, by the way, you can go to Socrates in the city dot com and you can watch our most recent events. But he says the unexamined life is not worth living, implying that thinking about the deep questions makes life worth living. In other words, he's positing the idea that there is such a thing as truth.

I'm not Tuesday morning. I was taken out of gym class to sit down with two adults for what turned out to be a very uncomfortable talk. I was sold that people were complaining about the words on my shirt, the mature was making some students feel unsafe. Yes, resident shirt made people feel unsafe. They told me that I wasn't in trouble, pretty sure it felt like I was. I told I was told that I would need to remove my shirt before I could return to class. When I nicely told them that I didn't want to do that, they called my father. Thankfully, my dad supported him. My decisions came to pick me up. One of my shirts say, 5 simple words. There are only two genders. Nothing harmful, nothing threatening, just a statement I believe to be a fact. I have been told to my shirt was targeting a protected class, who is this protected class, or their feelings more important than my rights. I don't complain when I see pride flags and diversity posters hunk throughout the school. Do you know why? Because others have a right to their beliefs, just as I do. No one person staff or student told me that they were bothered by what I was wearing. Actually, just the opposite. Several kids told me that they supported my actions and that they wanted one too.

Leaked Spy Satellite System Puts US National Security at Risk

"Chairman, I have to ask you about the leak. This is very bad. The Financial Times revealed that it has revealed the existence of a spy satellite system that we've got that knows previously unknown to the world. Who would do this? I'm just curious, you don't know who it is, but who would do something this damaging? Am I right, by the way, to conclude it deeply damaging? It's deeply damaging. I mean, we revealed the leaks purportedly revealed that, you know, we've penetrated the Russian system and think about that if you're the Russians and you learn about that, you're immediately going to look for the source of that penetration and probably kill everyone and that compromises a valuable stream of intelligence. I should note we have we're not in session. We're going to be back on Monday. I expect we're going to get our initial briefing on this on the Intel committee. I hope we get a full battle damage assessment. My working hypothesis is that this was just some, you know, let's say mid to low level intelligence community or defense community staffer with a savior complex, which is incredibly unfortunate. Another Chelsea. Another Edward Snowden. Something like that. Yeah, yeah. But who knows? I admittedly, I don't know right now. It's incredibly damaging. And you know, it's sort of this paradox to you that in the 21st century, I think we're going to have to be more forward leaning in our willingness to declassify intelligence. I think our ability to share intelligence rapidly with our partners in Ukraine has been a good thing on balance. That, of course, entails a lot of risk and increases the likelihood of leaks and things like that. I'm not saying that happened in this case, but the bottom line is we just need to understand what happened in an effort to prevent it and hold anyone who broke the law accountable because this is very, very troubling for U.S. national security. Xi Pledges to Putin That "Change Is Coming After 100 Years"

"An important meeting just took place between China Xi, Xi Jinping, and Vladimir Putin, the meeting was in Russia. And it was a I think we might look back and see this as a fairly as an epochal event. Now Biden on his own at around the same time was meeting with Trudeau in Canada, but this was a frivolous meeting, in fact, he has Trudeau. He's like, I brought you. I brought you some chocolates that were made by some immigrants and so this is the kind of nonsense going back and forth between these two political midgets. And in the meantime, much more statesman like meeting in which we heard that quote change is coming that hasn't happened in a hundred years. Now, that's the kind of statement that gets your attention and makes you think. There's a massive kind of reshaping taking place in the world. And the United States, which has had the dominant position in the world, is losing it and losing it very rapidly. Think of how the world looks different in just ten or 20 years. If you looked at, for example, the per CAPiTA GDP between the United States and China, the United States was way ahead. Three times as much as China. And the Chinese are now catching up and in terms of purchasing power, they're fairly close to catching up. They'll probably catch up in the next ten or 15 years. And let's remember that China has a much larger population. So if the per CAPiTA spending power of each Chinese family is the same as each American family, but there are three times as many Chinese families, the Chinese will have a vastly bigger economy than the United States. And that means they can put a lot more into defense, a lot more into research and technology. There are just long-term implications. I mean, it's very hard to say that the 21st century belongs to America in the same way that the 20th century most clearly did.

We We did, and it was nasty yesterday, but we should have been out there on Thursday because the fishing was premium fishing in clothes and lots of good grade fish. All in the 20 to £30 range. Yeah. That's really a good grade when you can get multiple fish over 20. One of the boats that went out of losses. Landing had a 2022 22 26, a 30. And they were efficient. And now we would all like to get a nice 30 pounder for bragging rights, But honestly, 14 to £16 fish for me is a better grade of fish for barbeque Unit on and every night. Absolutely. I agree. I agree. I mean, it's like hell. Halibut, you know, they talk about these big Alaskan hell, but, uh, 300 pounders. You know what? Give me a California of £15, California have halibut. And you won't find a better eating hell, but anywhere. Absolutely. Yeah. Well, anyway, The big news is is that there's some squid in now, and squid is in the normal spot, which is down by McClure's beach, which is, uh, just north of the elephant. And then going south from the often then you have McClure. Then you have the key holes and then you stab the start of 10 Mile Beach. And so this is the right start at the right time of the year where we should start to see some squid coming in. Haven't seen the commercial squid boats yet, but some of the guys that were pulled up there down Riggers? Yes. On Thursday had some squid on them. Yeah, well, you know, I've been tracking the squid and they started in Monterey. Then they moved up toward half moon Bay up to the Bay area, so give him time They'll be there. They're busy right now. Yes, they are. Yeah, but But that's good, because that that really I mean, the small squid, salmon, Etem, rockfish, Etem halibut, Etem link card love them, And so it's It's a good thing for for everything is out kind of a, uh In effect, it affects all species of fish. Get your big hooches out. Right, Chris absolutely blew. Hoochie was the the lure of abuse yesterday and Yes. On Thursday when the big bite was on it was either bait or hooches. But I would go to blue hoochie this time of year. 7 50 to 70 ft on the wire. You're probably in 90 Ft of water, and if the weather lays down, I would start down by the elephant and work your way down. Okay, Um, how far North? Are they going now? The catch fish, the private boats. There's still a few fish. Just a guy texted me this morning. There's still a few fish on the 20 to the 23 lines. So that's just above. Closed zone on the north end of the clothes, own bodega head and so from the 20 line Up to say, car met, there's still some fish out there and which which car met is real close to the northern border of the Marine protected area. Right? Correct. It's just above the brain protected area. Yeah. So we started out by fishing. In water. There was 253 100 ft deep and you've been catching fish from anywhere from 80 to 150. Ft. Deep 150 ft. What's what's the depth now? That changed the right right now It's going to be at 90. Ft is what I would try in there. Real tight is what the word was. Was. The fishing was tight on the beach. The other day, so tight for me is 25 ft of water and I've done that before. You know, you have to watch out for rollers on 10 Mile. Yeah, yeah. Yes, You do always keep one eye to the to the West, right? And there's some days when it's absolutely flat and the rollers are very calm and you can do that. But If you don't have much experience on it, Stay a little bit off the surf line. Stay in 50 or 60. Ft of Water. Watch what the other guys are doing. Absolutely. Be careful. Yeah, and the fish do move in and out of that shallow water. They certainly do. Absolutely, you know, and they're chasing bait like everybody else. Sure, sure. Okay, Chris. That's good. Things are moving right along and you know, July we could we could hit a pretty good weather stretch here in Bodega Bay for the rest of July. I would be a stack with that, and that would be grand, So we'll we'll have your report next week. Thank you, Chris. Thanks, Bob. If if you'd like to talk to Chris about this, uh, even though his yacht harbor doesn't have anything, that's where he works, and he spends most of his time at Bodega. He's glad to help you out. He's that kind of a guy. So call him down. Lawrence and John Harbour 9 to 57571916. You know, I forgot to give you um Ryan cooks number We ran out of time there his number to book a trip for bass 559. 6917708 And as far as that Berkeley bait that mimics the whopper plop, er, I put in an order for a couple of those and a couple other bags of stuff on May 21st. And outside of one email a week later. I haven't heard from him. Haven't got it. I would hesitate to order anything from Berkeley until they get their house together. If you know what I mean. Okay. I talked to Jeremy up at Ernie's tackle in the in the town of June Lake about the weather and trout fishing in the June Lake loop. Jeremy. I don't know what the temperature is up at the June legs, but I know it's.

"At thirteen ten. Kfi dot com. I'm brian gary filling. In for tanner the incredible ryan the producer. Who's been busting out the jams that i just love coming in and out which has been very very cool. Thanks for tuning in today. One hundred year anniversary of kf k absolutely incredible and they've been doing it longer than just about any radio station on the planet. It's absolutely incredible and just getting better by the day. I wanted to share before i duck out i again. I want to thank tanner and brady and everybody here at the k. k. Family for making me feel so. Welcome and giving me the opportunity to jump in and get behind a microphone again for a couple of days. I absolutely loved it. But over the last couple of years. When i've been away i've been working on something. I'm brian gary. Happiness warrior is. What i call myself and I have created what i call the happiness warrior handbook. And it's it's things to do because one of the biggest battles out there is ourselves in our own brains and try to control them. I feel we completely untapped what we're able to do to help control our moods and we have to have tools to do that because it is a battle. I say the happiness warrior because i believe happiness is available to every one of us but you have to be willing to fight like hell to get it. It's not just given to you. You have to work to protect it and you have to work to get it at takes effort and if we put as much effort into trying to find happiness as we do avoiding it we're going to be much better off Five things that. I figured out number one. I talked about Yesterday is when you wake up. Get up do not lay there and let the day beat you before you defeat the day and it's very easy to do you give me twenty minutes laying in bed when i'm awake and i can have run through my entire day and lost every battle and feel that it's absolutely unwinnable and it's hard to get up and get moving when he started that way. If you wake up get up and get going. It gets your brain going triggers all of the happy things reset your brain and get you going the other thing. That is absolutely crucial as you start getting your sleep man for a guy who got up at two thirty in the morning every day for thirty years have learned that getting to adding getting the proper amount arrest is the only way to stay sane. Your brain is the one part of your body that requires sleep to reboot itself and get going. Your body will keep going and going and going. Your mind actually starts getting foggy and screws up. If you don't get the sleep make that a priority Another thing i talk about is setting your mental eq- what i mean by that is your equalizer. Know like ryan's got this control board in front of him with all these different slide. Pots and things that turn up volumes on stuff. Every one of us has that within our brain as well and we need to stop an adjusted several times throughout a day. How many of you get this where you're equalizer your mental q. Is set so that you have one voice potted up way too loud if you're like me you're one of those people who can have a thousand people tell you they love you. One person says man and you're stuck on that man forever you forget about the thousand who said they love you but that matt sticks in your head. Why do we give that voice. So much volume. Why do we give the thing that your boss said you to that day or somebody in traffic who you may be cut you off or did something you carry it with you and you hang onto that throughout the day. Turn that thing down and turn up. What makes you feel good. Maybe there's some music maybe there's a song maybe there's a book baby. There's a place. Maybe there's something that sets you in that mood. You need to crank that volume up and turned down the other. It takes some effort. You have to learn how to do but once you train your brain. You can honestly do this. You may have to stop and readjust several times throughout a day because it starts changing the volumes change and all that but you have the ability to turn down. What is drowning you out. So make sure you set that mental equalizer each day to get you going. So you're leading in the negative in the positive are there. What are you tuned into. A you only going to hear the negative frequency or are going gonna tune in and focus on the positive. It is our choice every day. It's how you face it how you want to take it on. It's very easy to go the easy route. And just let it affect you negatively again. It takes work to stay happy and be happy and in the happiness. Where your handbook. And by the way you can get this for free on my website. Brian gary happiness warrior dot com Absolutely free i'll send you a copy of it The other one Number three is. Don't wait for the funeral. It happens to so many of us. There are so many things we want to say to somebody. We love somebody that we think of they pop into your brain and think i should call them and then you just filter that back and go yeah. I'll call them some time now soon as they hit your brain. Call them text them. There's a reason you thought of them. At that moment it might be something you never understand because picking up the phone and calling someone at the time you think of them. You might have just saved somebody. That person may have hit your mind because for some reason they were struggling at that moment they were feeling something in you reaching out not only lifted them but it lifts you. It does something. Don't wait it. We we so often wait to gather around a dinner table to talk about the people we miss you know after the funeral. You're all sitting around. Do you want to tell those stories over a casket or over lunch. You know you need to sit down and say what needs to be said now. Don't wait for a funeral. Tell the people you love. You love them now. We don't have time to wait number four. Take the long way home. If you've gotta drive an extra mile to get home so that you can get everything from work out of your head if you've got a park in the driveway for five minutes to go through your messages before you walk in you do it. You get rid of all those things so when you walk through that door to your family and the people on the other side you're giving yourself to them take care of all the other business. You can out in the driveway and number five when you get home. Unplug and recharge unplugged those devices. Put down the dang phone. Shut off the computer and just plug those in. Let him recharge while you take in the things that you need debris actually just stop breathe staring at that little screen for a while and look at the big beautiful world. That's out there. These things have helped me again. You can get a free copy of that. At the hat brian. Gary happiness warrior dot com. Thank you so much to ryan to everybody who has made this possible for me to come back on the air in the place i love northern. Colorado is my home. It has been for over thirty years. I have been so proud to call this. My place and i'm gonna continue to do that Kfi you guys have been incredible to welcoming and after a couple of years just sitting. "And laughter and pointing over me twinkie. Well i have a picture of him. Laughing at your tattoo stuck to where. When we saw them in mexico he still remembered me as twinkie. But we're set up to do interviews. And we're going into billy curran's room interview billy qurion and it's it's myself and todd in susan and before we go in there. Susan does what most ladies do. She stuck her phone and her bra so weaker. But but the thing to do would have been silence it because we go in. And we started interviewing billy korean and while we're sitting there susan's boob starts to ring the look billion space when he looks at her and says i don't know if i should answer that or not only about that happens every time i hear billy current in some of simpson's ringing chats thank you okay well you get a mention when we were in las vegas and i was telling trace adkins all about my horses. He's he does. I watched that happen. Watch the big guys start to fade. Always we'd be looking on. Oh susan's got him alone. I got one more. There was one of the coolest todd one of your musical. Heroes are one of your favorites that you would never miss the chance to see your spend time with his reba huge. Houston tastic a concert. Yeah i mean the costume changes everything. But you've said time and time again that one of the best live performers you've ever seen is reba without a doubt. Nobody does a show. Like that ends. The las vegas style show but nobody does a stadium. Kinda show like that where she would fly out. I mean taylor swift. Does it now but She i guarantee you. She patted on. What rubik well. What i remember. Most i went to a show. It was possibly the greatest concert ever seen. It was reba. And george strait. Taylor swift opened us. She was just starting out. I mean she was brand new but it was cool. Because you know we we had seen taylor but while she was performing. We're backstage waiting to meet everybody else. We're we're back with reba and if you remember ribas. Tv show One the co stars was melissa. Peterman she was the sidekick of rebound the show and she was just hilarious. Great friends well at this particular concert. Melissa was there she was back stage. And we're back and she was just a riot and had had a couple condom. So we're backstage with with remote. Melissa melissa's going. Hey we should all go into leeann womack dressing room and steal her jello shots and going. I'm having none of this. Y'all not in. But then melissa than parades us down into leeann womack dressing room and we go in and we do oliver jello shots and go. Pack and reba was just kind of chewing us out. And that's when all of a sudden into the room. Comes brian greasy. Who had just left the broncos at that. And i remember my wife going over and getting their picture taken with brian greasy. Back there too but that was one of the cooler ones was doing jello shots a in spite of reba back page headers show. I love that story. Yeah so much. Good stuff guys this is. Susan share share some of your favorites or one of your favorites with us. This well i have to and of course. My ultimate favorite was when the oak ridge. Boys were here performing at the event center and we were going to introduce them and we were chatting backstage and they were so nice and i just happened to ask them if they were gonna play my favorite song which is sail away and they said no. I'm sorry it's not in our lineup. But they gathered around all of us and saying it off capella for me. It's let's let's be honest. They gathered around you because todd todd walked up and went in papa mau and ask them to somewhere around him and circle. Bob denim skirt like susan tell. That story could do as one of my favorite moments too. He was when i think of all the artists moments. Honestly what what comes to my mind is one of the most memorable is that they did. They were so kind but they they circled around you. In serenaded use sail away. That was a cool moment. Alright really really yes. This is my favorite of all time. you know when i was growing up. Kenny rogers was my hero. I out my everbod on eight track. Was kenny rogers. The gambler and i had told that to the record rap. Who brings the artist in and So the record rep- brought kenny to our trailer. Out of the greeley stampede and kenny walks in and the first thing he says is who is the guy who the first out and everybody was the gambler. I said that was me he goes. You're on jewish. And i said well i'm hurting. And he goes todd. Would you mind if i share your microphone. And i just saw be sure my my point in my life. That was the biggest thing that ever happened to me. I love it. I remember that. Just melting you. Honestly i mean it was one of those moments us go. My hero is standing in front of me. Saying may i share your microphone. I was absolutely floored now. That yeah that that one definitely stands out. That is a classic. Would a couple that i remember was susan always stealing the thunder. I remember i remember i. We were doing a habit. Gb show and we had james auto come in. James big hit just started loving you. And we're looking for susan looking for james during a sound check or something and we go and susan in her dressing room and she's talked james into sitting on the couch and singing that song to her ability that and then but we had to most of the time introduce you to people and explain who they work because they can have the biggest hits on the air and susan would have no clue who were brothers osborne into do a show with us and susan partridge kids. Thought of another one real quick. I okay. i'm gonna see if it's the same one. I've gotten my head. What do you got. Well no we were. We were at the cma award just We had just been presented are cma award and We were backstage and sugarland was standing there. I walked over to jennifer nettles. "Congratulations to know. Steve steve my apologies. Steve congratulations steve from greeley. You are the winner of a pair of those tickets. They are highly sought after as well tickets to see the greeley blues jam on saturday june fifth to be part of it because after all it ain't nothing but a party and i would be seriously remiss if i did not express our appreciation to our ticket sponsor gould parts in downtown eaton for making those tickets available. All right i believe. I have one more pair left and we will be giving those away Sometime next week could be any less specific. Aol in the radio business. It's called ts. All right at eight. oh nine Let's see what we got here. No surprise How are you doing with this. Entire mask mandate thing. Because i have to tell you. It's kind of i was kind of some people. Say shukan the cool kids. Say i kinda shook up just a little bit as i'm just watching some of the interactions between those who choose not to wear a mask and we have been you know. The covert czars have spoken and have issued that a new mandate will now. It's not a mandate. It's not a recommendation suggestion. According to colorado governor jared police that if we have been fully that sedated and allow that Two week window after the second vaccination if you've got the pfizer by visor biontech or the modern up vaccine you know. There's a two step process with jane. J. it's a one step process. But if you let the two week period elapse you are fully vaccinated and once again for those of us. This according to cdc and state of colorado on with many other states that are steadily lower ring those mandates requirements restrictions guidelines recommendations suggestions as we work through the litany right when it comes to mask wearing. But it's been really shocking for me. As i've made the rounds just going to convenience stores or grocery stores was in sam's club and you might think i'm obsessing over this but it was just very disturbing Just watching and again. These people in convenience stores and in a big box stores have walmart The list goes on and on along with our first responders along with our healthcare workers these on the front line making sure that we can get our pop. Tarts and our twinkies are fun funds and our chicken and our beef throughout the entire pandemic. They put their health at risk throughout and now as they are exercising their freedom of choice. And i get it. It's it's on the honor system and You know once again human nature being what it is. Many of us look askance at some not too wearing their masks because the mask even if we initially resisted wearing it the mask when you agree over the past thirteen or fourteen months. Well if you don't have it with you or if you don't have it on your face when you're going into a store even store that has dropped under cdc recommendations the mask requirement. Well it's kind of like leaving leaving home in the morning and you don't have your cell phone with you. I mean you feel kind of naked. You feel kind of out of sorts right. Even if you weren't a huge fan of wearing a mask to begin with it feels kinda strange. Now doesn't it. You feel like you're looking around and kind of like. I feel like i'm doing something wrong. I'm doing something bad here but it's become kind of like a security blanket for so many kind of like being key in a manner of speaking and there are some who even though they have been fascinated. Don't feel comfortable going out in public without a mask and to them. I say great. Bully for you. Last time i checked. It's still america. We still have freedom of choice. But what's so disturbing to me. Is that well. It seems as though it's in some people's minds it's freedom of choice for some but not for others. No that's not how this works. That's not how any of this works. But when i see customers in a store for raiding of those frontline workers for not wearing a mask. And i didn't see the incident. It was only described to me by the person that was working at sam's that was just bombarded with vitriol From a customer. Because she wasn't wearing her mask. But i have seen instances where i stand there and just kind of take it in. I don't wanna get into the fray. I know thank you very much. But it just is a head shaker as you're watching this now when people aren't breaking the rules and you're watching people just lose their minds because people have the in their opinion the audacity to not wear masks when they're fully within their rights to make that choice. Whatever happened to our ability in this country. Our sound like a luddite here. But i think social media and the cesspool that much of social media is has a little something something to do with it. But you know opinions. Kind of body parts aren't they. We've all got them Nine seven hundred three five three thirteen ten dropped me a text on our thirteen ten k. app k. "Take time to restore balance reminding embody these things can actually help us to make those kind of mental adjustment an emotional adjustment. Yeah now you speak of mindfulness. So what exactly is mindfulness. I think for me. Mindfulness named to be able to you know just kinda quiet external noise and go within days true. I mean it's it's a simple practice in theory but you know it does take practice to be able to go inside and just quite yourself senator self and find a relaxation point. You know point so that you can move forward yourself and integrate into the external world right because a lot of times you know. Our own judgments are based on self judgment first and then also you know countering the external judgements that are prevalent today. Yeah definitely and we're not low the to express those judgments and i have to wonder. I mean to say that cova covid nineteen the quarantining The lockdowns the isolation indeed the fear the uncertainty. I think that has changed so many of us on a very in a very fundamental way. But it's it's rather disturbing to me how quick we are to have this knee jerk reaction as this man did with this greeter at sam's and think that he was fully within his rights to be rate her and scream at her. I have to wonder to some degree. Have we lost our ability to communicate with one another effectively and calmly. I think that that's a great question. Gail and i think that you know that that speaks to the uncertainty. As you mentioned you know people fear uncertainty in general and tend to have these big responses when we don't feel and if our voice is heard right and if we don't feel safe and so you know also their social media that has really changed the way that we communicate and you know it's easy to sit behind the screen and feel all. The feelings expressed them openly. Because there's no no Consideration with communication. You're sitting in front of someone and you're actually seeing all of their micro gestures facial microchips. Now which is what the map takes away too. I know. I think it's glorious that once again we conceive people's faces. I mean you know you can you know is being the windows of the soul and all that i mean you can pick up on how people are feeling to some degree by seen. There is but to be able to see people's faces again. I mean it just puts a big smile.

"Thomas Farley, announcing yesterday the city will lift density limits on offices, stores, museums and libraries. Starting May 21st when it will also end the requirement that booze can't be served without food. Cities announcement represents a major step in advance of June 11th when it will terminate all Capacity limits. That would be 12 days after Herr Wolff. Retires its limits for the other 66 counties. So I'm trying to follow this. The Sixers announced that they will increase capacity at the Wells Fargo Center to 50% for the first round of the NBA playoffs to about 10,000 fans. Starting May 22nd so that's the day after the density limits. We're gonna allow what 50% capacity is that it? Then you have 50% capacity. That's what the stadiums will be capped at on May 21st So 50% of Citizens Bank Park 50% of Wells Fargo Center, may 21st. Yep. With a minimum of three ft of space rather than six. FT masks still must be well still match. Yes, Text three. Oh, Four. Dot gov three Brief six, FT four Skip to my Lou. We are such a stupid people. And I don't mean you and me, but I'm talking about the people governing you and me. We're living through the stupidest of times, folks. Someday historians will write about how stupid All of this is I'm convinced or or The opposite. And there's no hope left for humanity and it just gets worse from here. I don't know which I'm hopeful. I'm hopeful that people historians will write about this period of time and laugh at us like you know, the like when we used to believe in people. Put leeches on them. They're gonna bleed us out. I hope I hope that people someday laugh at what we're doing like we laugh at old medicine. You know the snake oil guys who used to sell elixirs and tonics and Lead people out soft.

"Has mined the Torah tells me she's terrified of being sent there. But you really dreads having to go back to Damascus or corner disease. Kanayama Loco, No logical man on the tour, says she fears that she and her husband will be investigated, possibly jailed and that their sons would be forced to join the Syrian army for now on the tourist, pinning her hopes on one days. May 21st. This is the day the family will appear in a Danish court to appeal their case. Whatever happened, she says, they will not go back to Syria. At least not willingly. For the world. I'm Orla Barry. In Greece today. Activists are celebrating the arrest of one of the leaders of a notorious neo Nazi organization. Yanni's Lajos was convicted and sentenced months ago along with dozens of other golden dawn members, but authorities haven't been able to apprehend him. Until now, The world's Lydia Mannelly do is on the line from Athens. What has prevented authorities from arresting Lajos until now, Lydia? Well levels is not only a convicted criminal and neo Nazi as you just mentioned, but he's also a member of the European Parliament. He was elected in 2019 as an independent m e p Now Emmy pees get special protections, including an extradition immunity and because of that extradition immunity, Greek authorities couldn't have levels extradited from Brussels to Greece after he was convicted and sentenced back in October, so they had to put in a request to the European Parliament to waive his immunity. And for months now the parliament has been going through the procedure. This week. They took a vote and yesterday, European Parliament President David says solely announced the results on this vote to strip lowers of his immunity. She let me guess that he never can. The enemy's Lagos. Provided that was overwhelmingly approved. And then shortly after that, Lajos was arrested by Belgian authorities, So has he been actually extradited to Athens yet? No, he has not been extradited. A court in Belgium is going to need to approve the extradition request. But now that the European Parliament has voted to strip him of his immunity that opens the door for authorities to be able to do that. Right. So this is going ahead now. What exactly was luckless convicted of? So this was one of more than 50 people who was convicted of running a criminal organization Golden Dawn and just a little reminder for those who don't know this organization started in the eighties as a fringe far right magazine. It was actually started by a man who openly, you know, expressed his admiration of Hitler and it went from a French far right magazine to a mainstream political party. So over the last decade, Aziz you know Greece. Has gone through an economic crisis. It's been at the center of the migrant crisis and Golden Don really tapped into the anger that Greeks were feeling over those issues, and it grew as a political part again by 2013. It was actually the third largest party in Greek parliament. Their followers would march through the streets, waving Nazi flags. They would chant anti migrant slogans and they were really violent. I mean, for years, they terrorized migrant communities they would stab people in 13 2001 of their members killed Greek anti fascist rapper named Pablo Species. Oh published thesis was supposed to pick it up. Ski meals elope, This murder's ultimately what led to Holding down being put on trial and led to their demise. And, you know, at the end of that five year long try a while. I was there in the crowd when the judges were delivering the verdict. Defeated. It was a huge deal. People were crying. People were hugging each other. Many considered this kind of an end to a really dark period, and one of the darkest periods really increases modern history. So you implied earlier that Golden Dawn has faced its demise. What is this news about Lagos heading to greet custody now Mean for Golden Dawn's leadership. Are they Are they all now behind bars? No, they're actually not all behind bars, although all of them have been convicted Golden Dawn's number to a man named to finish this Pappas is actually on the run. No one knows where he is. He was able to get away sometime before his sentence was handed down. And many believe he had help from the Greek police, which you know Golden..
