"From the newsroom of the Washington Post over Nico with the Russian Lebron James The Washington Post reports I Martin powerless. It's Thursday December number twelve today. The UNTOLD STORY OF AMERICAN JOBS AFFECTED BY AUTOMATION THE RISE OF RANDOM CHAT. What's and the president's new executive order? Judaism there's been so much discussion on the presidential campaign trail particularly likely among Democrats about automation killing jobs. I'm heather long. The economics correspondent at the Washington Post. It's interesting interesting when the most of the candidates talk about this. They're almost always talking about male dominated jobs so manufacturing workers we could put fifteen million people people to work rebuilding our roads. Bridges Water Systems aways new jobs. That are good jobs that are jobs in manufacturing the be good union chops are truck drivers the possibility that truck driving could go away. Three and a half million truck drivers in this country and my friends in California. -FORNIA are piloting self driving trucks. What is that going to mean for the three and a half million truckers and look? That's a very important discussion but it became very clear that most most these candidates are missing half the story. We've seen almost as big job losses. Among administrative positions so administrative assistants the secretaries and clerks and bookkeepers and the vast vast majority of those jobs are held by women since two thousand. Listen which is also a big tipping point for factory workers. We've seen more than two million administrative jobs. Go Away and looking ahead. The Labor Department has made forecasts about which jobs are going to see the most losses in the next decade in number one on. That list is secretaries. Terry's an administrative assistance. And I think what you're saying about the ways jobs like this jobs like being secretary or administrative assistant was actually the real path to career success for women without college degrees. I think that really strikes true with experiences of people in my family or even the people that I see on TV and in pop culture. I think that if you watched madman you know I just saved this company. I signed the first new business since lucky strike left. But it's not as important as getting married again. Will I was just made director of the agency operations. It title no money of course and if they poured champagne must have been while I was pushing them elkhart. What you understood was that that AD agency only ran because of the way the Joan who is kind the head secretary because she was running behind the scenes? What came up over and over again in interviews for this story when these people were laid off usually the after turning fifty or sixty it? Was this feeling that there's no loyalty any more that they had been such an integral part of this company for twenty or more years and that boom within a short meeting in a conference room they were done. Take for example Rena Maxwell Maxwell. We spoke in a diner in northern Virginia. Kate when people say oh well your personal business. No it's very personal. You know you now affected my life. I don't have my age is GonNa play against me I already know what in the world am I gonNa do if I don't land somewhere I've learned to my same one of those women who walked out of high school and into an administrative job I for the the government and then over into the private sector where she spent nearly twenty years and her final company has only been able to land temporary jobs ever percents that pay less than half to earn their advice that you would have to people but I would tell them do not go attention for the simple no loyalty you can give your entire life you can work sixty hour week every week for take somebody better comes along that they can get for less money. There's the door a lot of people in the story. Were telling me their job. Even as in the nineties or early two thousands they would still type memo's up for bosses they would still go and grab coffees fees or grow and grab lunch for bosses. They would organize holiday parties. They went answer phones and a lot of that is just happening by being outsourced is now in some cases. It's been outsourced technology or automation. Or grub hub can bring the coffee or the lunches now And in other cases it's literally Being outsourced to India like a lot of professions this profession as upscaling a lot of the new job descriptions for new hires. There's in this field want college degrees. They want to turn this role into something more. Like a chief of staff and less like someone who's doing the back end office work but the thing that's weird here is that isn't the economy doing pretty well right now and that that that there are more jobs than there had been in the past asked so why are these jobs being eliminated the fundamental thing to understand about the US economy is jobs are plentiful you can get a job in the United United States in two thousand nineteen or probably twenty twenty. Getting a good pain job is not as easy though even as it was say fifteen into twenty years ago. And that's what's really different since we come out of the great recession and this isn't a trump issue or an obama issue. It's just the economy is fundamentally. The mentally changing and middle-class pain roles are going away in the Ministry of assistance are a key example of that and factory workers are another one and instead the jobs that were creating or either over one hundred thousand dollars. A year coder manager type jobs or jobs that pay under thirty thousand dollars a year here and I always keep this sign on my dust. Remind me that six of the ten fastest growing jobs in the United States pay less than twenty seven thousand dollars a year. So what do you think this trend tells us about what we can expect from the future of the US economy. This is another example of what we're calling calling the barbell economy where you have jobs that earn forty to sixty thousand. A Year middle-class jobs are going away in the jobs the economy Konami is creating in the United States are either super high. Skilled high paid a hundred thousand or more type jobs. coders your managers or their thirty two thousand and under jobs home health aides your food prep workers and there's really just this Rosen of middle-class jobs. Were just not not creating a lot of middle paid jobs. And that's a real fundamental problem whether it's the factory workers or whether it's these as women in administrative roles when you lose your middle pay job it's very hard to get one of those hundred thousand more jobs so people are literally falling downward.

"You need to change banks do so. What do you use I when I was when I was researching banks as a kid before I just went designs bank which stay open for a minimum account? Just like this yeah. It was like ten dollars fee to open the GOP account like a fifty dollar minimum. And you're saying Sosthene in something similar where a guy to the twenty dollars twenty five dollars fee and then the maive five K.. Five gold minimum. So that's why I was getting catches that that makes sense. I'm happy we've talked through this. No no no worries evermore as bank is cool there are no fees and only rewards. You only get that wonderful money. Ah There's a holding plan and you know what I say. The reward is Sykes Smile when he sees as you using his fun. New Bank and ever- everyone listening at home. I just struck a pose where like basically throw jazz hands. Yes burst bank. It's a good time anyway. Now that we've got off this very long tangent that I very much enjoyed joy though it was a good time cut most of it. No also. Let's let's talk about some the new characters that are here in ever more. What are we what are we got what we got going on? Oh there are so many you will want want to bring a notebook or take a quick photo of these people because there are so many that you will want to write down their name We have first of all our wonderful good boy henry. We love him. I Love Henry. He's Great Henry is a super happy very intelligent agent man who has kind of appeared in ever more and wants the wants to buy the copper confectionary with his love love and they want to bring joy in sweets and pastries to evermore the baker. He is a wonderful character. And then you have a very charismatic Nick Your Araya. He is new in town as well. He is the town's barrister which I have never heard that term but apparently everyone else in this world has. It's an English term for a lawyer like a corporate guy courtroom lawyer. Yep Yep I'm he has the town's barrister and solicitor so people can hire him outside of the court to speak for them or to negotiate terms lip balm very charismatic. Very wonderful. It's it's a good thing. We just lost our last lawyer because he was a murderer. Maxwell Maxwell was technically a royal. I had forgotten that indeed. It does look for that I remember he was he definitely had studied law there and and now it's gone one of the New People that showed up in town. Her name is Madam daughtry she. He runs the house outside of town of local curiosities. And when asked upon what curiosities you might find. She said depends on what you're looking for. What whatever kind of quickey fund you might WanNa find might not be for kids who knows? I would say that that she wouldn't give details. I tried to pry. I heard to tell me so many times and she was. She just kept giving me this. I of like lit wink. Understand what I'm saying to you. It is for anyone who needs a bit of fun and might not be for kids. It's not a bounce house. It is not this is not. There's balloons this. It's just full of balloons. She's she's very very family friendly about it no it was. It's pretty hard to pick up on. What she she means there which is interesting interesting and adult move there forevermore very interesting essentially because we still know exactly what it is it for all we know it is about South I? I don't know who knows who does we also had a group of ACOLYTES led by brother. Silas who is Jasper's cousin and actually it's a family fair so they're all very much related to Jasper and they are. They may be way awaiting the arrival of their the elder who is Jasper's father Jasper steady and we also had the wolves winter as we've mentioned so far we've only had the three They're but they're beautiful wonderful and very strong. We also have the male the myth legend Sir Philip Humphry Postmaster General's siblings do they get long titles titles as well Schuyler probably in the future. I haven't thought of them. Yeah they need to. They need to prove themselves to Schuyler. I I'm a little concerned because the last time someone brought siblings endeavor the Super Out strangled. Oh truth of evermore but you bring your sibling in they will die. Well that's unfortunate Senate for a mayor violet because she also had her sister show up and find her yes we had siblings. Who are two twins Bartholomew and Lauren Brin and then we had violence half sister we also have like I mentioned at the top of the episode each of the guilds got a new member so the bard his name is philander? The night is thaddeus stature. Thank you and the ranger is we. We didn't actually get to meet him. We meet him but his name is dry. Nar if I'm not mistaken yes. Desert Guild leaders just killed member. You'll adjust member and it was just drake who came in and was like. Hey Jasper. y'All run idiot. I'm in charge now. Here's my paper not necessarily it's more so that durables and charge urge on no no no that is true that is his he was going to take on. Vise rewrote to d'oeuvres Judah cater. Which is interesting? This is our first. I American character. He's a rudy. Tutti point and shooting Cowboy WanNa meet is Mexico speaks such. I'll I'm so excited. Very it is going to be my boy. The town as we said also received a new group of people from Aurora so we the light elves and also a man. That looks like Humbug from last year. Or whom BOO HOO last year. Whom book from last year? But he is now going by Humbug this year fascinating stuff with the same person who'd be this person could be different kind of has memory problems so that's something to be. The time in Aurora has has been a thousand years since the PORTA last. Open to evermore yes. There's one thousand years so there's a lot that's changed am and also some more people have wandered in from London area. We have a an official town dr or rather she may be visiting now but perhaps she will become the official town doctor. Dr Rosalind March and she is wonderful. I hope she knows how to cure poisoning. And that's actually why she's there it to see what the dark blake was. And if it had a medicinal purpose or medicinal reason behind it and if she could in fact cure it I was thinking just like the general murder poison nutshell could potentially but it is it is an interesting thing thing for from epidemiological like viewpoint. I would say evermore a hotbed of interesting like case studies. Like if if these experts were to come in. Because basically what they experienced was a micro cosmic experience of the black plague in the early European like thirteenth century. re-something or other crazy stuff. It's really cool so Dr Rows and marsh new doctor. I'm excited to get to meet her and quizzed on her medical know. How does she wash your hands? I don't know some doctors didn't do that for a while. And kinda concludes our list of new characters. There are so many and we actually. Yeah No. We didn't cover them all. We didn't cover them all and there are more to come. They have made mention of characters. That aren't there yet. That may be arriving so please make sure you bring everything to remember. Those wonderful characters at get on the facebook page and kind of it seems as though we will need to work together other to route to learn everyone story into really get the most out of Aurora because there is so much abso that being said kind of our first impressions of of Aurora. Let's just go Schuyler you and I were the only ones so. That's kind of our last first impression review my my first impression impression for Aurora when I walked in immediately was one does places gorgeous and absolutely beautiful and then to the story story is there to match. It came out swinging and there has not in the two days that we went there. There was so much that it happened so many new characters that we haven't had the chance to get to know all all of them or even introduce ourselves to all of them and I think it is exciting high energy so much energy and also a release still fund fun Winter Wonderland Right. It is in my opinion the evermore that we have known and loved for from the beginning really just stepping it up they have created this wonderful season opening. Where feels like you are there to really get into things from the get-go you don't have to wait around round things to happen and there's a story there that is wonderful and a lot of plotlines to really sink your teeth into and characters to meet? Yeah Yeah and I would say I haven't been yet but from everything I've heard from everything I've seen on the on the pages from you guys from our INSTAGRAM I. I've never been more excited. A to go to evermore to like really experience it to experience Aurora two thousand nineteen for the first time this the most of excited I've ever been for it a a friend of ours who were chatting with earlier. said that she knows evermore is getting good when she starts losing sleep over it because she's just like constantly thinking about everything everything that that's going on and she was like. Oh this is happening away. Early in the season typically doesn't happen till way later. What does this mean scene for Aurora? Like if that she's so invested in an already. I think this is going to be an amazing season to sink our little. Oh Fi teeth into and I think that's GonNa do it for us. Yeah we just want to remind you that the dates of of Aurora. The Arar season are from. It's now open and will continue until the first week of January of the it will continue until January twenty fifth in January. The only days that are currently open are the Saturdays in January and the last day is scheduled to be the twenty fifth of January. Yes we also already know of a wonderful special event vent which is the New Year's Eve party. We have heard amazing things about it already. You will want to be there. It is family friendly. There will be alcohol served in the Beer Garden but it is family friendly any any and all agent ages are welcome. Money doesn't grow on trees but beer does so pleased Support Evermore and really. Just get out there to Aurora. It is amazing season It's a wonderful family tradition to those that just want to go and see the lights and and kind of hang out for a little bit but also if you're seeking some deeper story that you can go and help with. "Graziano donald dot com all right. Take into the conspiracies here so i wanna talk about like some of these people who are not not necessarily directly involved with the case but you i would think they're credible so a former u._s. Attorney and deputy assistant to the attorney general wrote <hes> in a column in the washington post that he said the decision to remove him appears to have been a colossal air. Yes i think he fucking killed himself so maybe don't remove him from suicide. Watch like a week after he had already allegedly tried to commit suicide so they actually did release him off so sorry yeah yeah and that's how he killed himself so he wasn't on suicide watch when he committed to come out there letting it happen like they're just letting didn't like we're not looking. We're not gonna look over here. We can't tell and then it's like you know the guards like they're nowhere to be found. People were supposed to be watching him so because you think like it would cause commotion that you would be able to run. You know fifty yards. I don't know how long cell block is. I'm trying to picture like shawshank redemption guard would be able to be like oh my god. Something's going down. We're gonna run rundown there and cut them down okay himself and then he also <hes> that guys just said that same <hes> harry littman like this needs to be probed like no one. You can't just accept that. This is the answer okay and then one of the lawyers for three of the victims. His quote was <hes>. There were people out there who didn't want information coming out. Information epstein could use a negotiate a light prisons. I would be looking at the banking records of any guard who work at that jail to see if they quit the job and bought a million dollar. Hope okay so everybody is like this stinks to high heaven. He also broke bones in his neck <hes> through the hanging that are very difficult to break through strangulation or through hanging so it's like now. It's like okay okay like did he actually commit suicide or does somebody come in there and do a job for them. So there's a lot of finger pointing going on from people who are like heavily involved in in the case that they just don't necessarily believe that it played out <hes> the way that the official record states even people like the current attorney general who like we talked about through his dad had had links to epstein going back to the seventies so <hes> william barr says this case will continue against anyone who has <hes> been complicit with obscene in the victims deserve justice and that any co conspirators should not rest easy and that goes back to another fucking shady thing from alex kosta because one of the terms of the plea deal from back in two thousand five to two thousand eight that case is that there are four specified but unnamed co-conspirators orders and any potential co conspirators who might be might in the future be identified. They're kind of absolve like they're removed from the record so so now it's like we have to go back to that other case unseal all the documents find out who those names are and really go after these people because none of this that original plea deal the non-prosecution deal has been deemed like illegal. It should never been allowed to have happened so it's like a fucking crazy thing that we're just starting to untangle and it's like there's too many things going on like oh. You signed your will two days before end up dead or you're just like having to be taking care of business like i don't. I don't think so and mind you that we didn't even go into like who he's been spotted with people who had in florida. There's so much of that so much of that for trump up. I only campbell yeah chelsea handler. It's crazy all kinds of people riding around planning like why is that it's and then the the real person jill maxwell maxwell who is a co conspirator who knows long-time girls okay. I didn't even put this on the outline but she's been the you know. She's a british each woman. There's like photos of of him there. There's photos of epstein. There's <hes> at some of these palaces over over in england. It's like what is going on so there. There's so much more this has to be untangled and that maxwell woman is just like run around living her life that she was spotted at it in and out burger. Wish you reading some type of crime book or something yeah like a conspiracy spy novel. The fuck is going on. Why would you respond to that. It looked like she willingly took that picture which could be wrong but she was like looking at the camera paparazzi shots. It did seem like that so it's like you know we touched on a few like the quotes in the conspiracies but we might have to have a part three in twenty one or something like that like this. This is not over by any stretch but it's like the fact that he killed himself is just it allegedly just opens up the to me. Open the door even more. It's fucking brutal. I even got to that point point like saying it seems like illegal things had to happen to allow him the chance to kill himself brutal brutal chief thank you thanks for catching us up to speed on this like you chat. "A really cool car. Now. This is the high end model three this is not the thirty five thousand this is the fifty seven five I think was the prize this car looks to be autonomous is that is that is it ready to be autonomous to drive itself on the highway. It has all of the sensors and lied ours and stuff in it that need to be Thomas. It does. It's not equipped right now. But with software updates when everything else comes about it will be Altana Mus. But you we talked about this before remember tesla has the option of having autopilot. And we talked about a guy here in California that was driving on the highway in autopilot drunk as a skunk. Just completely didn't even know he wasn't even aware that he was driving until the highway cops pulled him over and they had to wake him up. So yeah, I to in some cases, you can still do autopilot. But please don't do it without staying awake. But the model three is as capable as the model S for my vision of it. It's not as big a car. But as ready now now, this is about battery, power and extending. The range of how far a Ma an s or a three can drive. I mean, there's a really cool call. It looks gorgeous has got this weird. Great video screen inside. You're ready to watch television. Not drive a car. Let the car drive itself. However, the range as matters at deal you have to pay for the bigger range you feature. The fact that Tesla's bought something called Maxwell, what does Maxwell Maxwell technologies is another California company located in San Diego. It was they came about nineteen sixty five it was a government contract company, and they have been working on ultra capacitors and on something called dry battery electrodes, and this is what has Bethany he did on musk since he was like a teenager in school at Stanford. I think he. There. There are two different parts. There's the one that makes the battery go further in lithium on ion battery go further in an electric vehicle right now the test tesla asked him three can go about three hundred miles. If you actually have this dry battery electrodes, you could go up to about five hundred miles driving range, it would be lighter. It would be denser, it would be less expensive. It it could meet everything they need to do in the production of it. It would be dry instead of wet. So you don't have all the solvents. That would be an issue it. It's very interesting to me that tesla actually bought this instead of the pe- Tesla's partner Panasonic group that is producing the gigafactory in Nevada so this five hundred mile ultra capacitor is ready right now or are they still working on it? They have done. The proof of concept that Elon Musk. Tesla has purchased has a completely purchase Maxwell technologies will probably be another year or two they just what people are saying that it will be before they act you actually see this battery.

"That's not quite just there's so many good openings in the coming year, the Raffles Hotel, which is this really iconic spot has been completely redone, and that'll be opening twenty nineteen that we've been thinking about that talking about that for I think years now and six senses has kind of doubled down on Singapore. There's a spot on Maxwell Maxwell is right. In Chinatown, which is where I used to work. I love that area. It's right by the Maxwell food centre, which is one of the best hawker centers. Or is. It tells about the chili crap home I got well sad. Fact, I didn't eat. I don't really eat a seafood, not no. Yeah. I know. And I lived there for like over a year. The crab is outstanding. I hear the chilli crab is outstanding. That's the main reason I want to go to Singapore is to eat this, chilli crab. But you go from my best foodie resources, you go to get long to get it. But there's so many good spots. There's these coast get along. I can't talk about this realistically, but I can tell you where to get really good rotea. You should check online. Check our Singapore guide. But I think you could package that trip pretty nicely. And if you really wanted to blow out kind of a massive month-long trip, you could also add Australia. It's all kind of like AustralAsia and one other place on our list that Aaron Florio, and I were really kind of pushing for with the Whitsunday islands in Australia with Brisbane as an entry point. And so I'll talk about Brisbane second, which is kind of been like you talk about boring. You know? But the wit Sundays are just these gorgeous islands on the central to southern part of the barrier. Reef, and you can get there through any of the major cities. Whether it's a cans to the north, which is the main the main entry point if you were going to go scuba snorkel the Barrier Reef, you would probably start there. But it's also super touristed you might end up on a giant pontoon boat with like eighty other travelers who just wanted strap on a snorkel for an hour and say, they did it, but you can do these sailing trips around the wit Sunday's farther south, and you can be on a boat for three nights or you can go to one of these core GIS like of a lifetime resorts. There's one called Elision that's opening this month that I don't know if I had all the money in the world. I hope I don't need all the money in the world. But it just looks amazing. It's its own little private cove surrounded by rainforests, and you'd get to use the resorts private boat to go out and snorkel and scuba. You can go on that. Vote to Whitehaven beach. Which is I think we named it an multiple other outlets of named it. One of the prettiest beaches in the world. I say talk about like screensaver, that's like the perfect white sand. It's made of silica which. Yeah, it's completely silica. So it's finer than sand, and it squeaks really loudly when you walk in a sings when you and it's so the water so shallow there. I remember it was either stingrays or reef sharks? They're both pretty benign. But you just kinda right there in the water, and they're just swimming around. All the amazing. It's it's unreal. It's every time I've gone to Australia. I tried to go the Whitsunday islands. And then Brisbane is one of the closest big cities to lands, and it I mean, it's been just like kind of a business hub, you haven't really tacked it onto a trip. If you go out there for your first or second time Australia, but they're all these all these really kind of cool city hotels opening there's a new w that one of our readers, and writers Khorasan Fordham has been talking up that has these. I don't know. It's a w w with like extra extra style. And they have these giant ten gallon tubs in the hotel rooms that are kind of reminiscent of the tub you'd using the outback they have a really cool Ozzy high tea with my low, and like all these fun like eclairs and my as Milo the chocolate milk. Yeah. Oh, yeah. It's like a chocolate malt drink it's better than chocolate. So there is w there's a place called the Khalil. I remember. I think maybe you and I chat about it briefly..

"Can I have your sweet potato pie max makes great sweet potato pie? The next thing. You know, max stops. He's cutting a piece of pie, and wrapping it and foil Cedric Maxwell Maxwell sorry. So max, I'm looking at the going really guys he made us realize guy. If they like they all now. So just so Palley I said to Rick had dinner with Rick in the press room. I'm like, Rick more. And I'm like, you've gotta be kidding me. He said the only one it still, no good. Is. He said Larry bird's still hates Bill like hates him hates him. Oh discussable. And no. And I remember one of my favorite moments. Larry was getting on the bus and Larry said, hey, well, congratulations. Larry made the all star team like Larry cared or like, it wasn't obvious. And he said to me DeVille beermaker said, no. And he said good. I said why? And he said because then when he comes on the bus, and he says, hi, Larry. I don't have to say bleep you Bill. I believe that too. But that was great line there about making sweet potato why Dame court should be sweet potato potato. That's right. Call potato retirement. Hey, how sweet was it? Speaking of sweet that Blake Griffin had that tribute ties. Ahah Thomas at the end of the game. When they're when Zeke made his Boston appearance that was very cool. I in see this then bounce pass. Oh, man. What is it talking about earned the second reference? So Jackie you, see more than one MBA season have you ever seen because I got into wouldn't say I got into a debate with our beautiful desk wonderful desk at ESPN dot com. Last night on the situation with Larry maintenance, Wendy. I was arguing for the word. I was arguing for the word on precedent. And they we ended up negotiating peculiar. So Jackie ever seen a situation where there's a guy. I mean, I've I've seen guys who have like I'm not going to be interim coach you might as well just fire me or give to somebody else. I've seen guys not want to be the interim coach before. But how about a guy who doesn't want to take the job? But then is actually doing the job. But complaining that he's not being paid more to do the job while he's in the job. I know it I love this. I don't like it. I love it. It's exactly what Dan Gilbert deserves. Because you know, the first thing he did before this season started was cut the pay of the assistance, and that's why Boylan moved on. Right. And so the assistance are are not happy about their contractual situates, nor new should they be? This reminds me of Donald sterling and. You guys know this. He was notorious for firing coaches and not paying them the balance of their contract. He did it with Bob Weiss. He did it with Don. Casey. I believe he might have done it with Mike Donelly. He did it with Elgin Baylor. Daler we know as the Baylor both suit him, I think and so did Bob Weiss. They were all these people, and they never got their money. You know? And so I love that Larry drew is doing this because Larry drew, look he's been around. He's been a head coach. He's been in a system coast. He's been fired. He's been hired. And he's like, you know, what dude now Larry drew if I'm not mistaken makes over a million. Is that right Brian just just a tad under a million very high. He's very well. Paid assistant coach and so I- he I like it. He's got a little bit of leverage. And I love that. He's just telling the whole world. Hey, this is how it goes. And so my guess is he's not going to be the head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers, that's my guess. I don't know what you think. But the interim do he's. Not going to be the interim coach, right? I don't think. So because I don't think I don't think Gilbert's gonna pay him. Do you Brian? No, no. I think so basically what really what Larry Joe Vardon from the Atlantic wrote. This is Larry's best weapon right now is to publicly shame them..

When we we named her Maxwell thinking that it was him short. Yeah. Now that happens, and we went to the vet. And we said we took the dog to the vet like for the initial checkup because this dog was handed to as this tiny tiny little puppy at two weeks old. My call earlier than this dog should have will. Yeah. A friend of ours rescued this dog from a family who just had a bunch of them at the third street. Promenade. Oh my gosh. I know someone who's looking for a dog and gave us Maxwell, and we were like, oh, he's adorable. We took him to the vet and the vet. We were like his name's Maxwell. She just has a big Volva her name Maxwell. And we were like, you know, what we're not changing the name now. So we had a very sweet dog her name is Maxwell. She's wonderful. She is a basenji who barks which is. Very unusual. So she's mixed with something. We don't know what we never test. But that is the only dog I've ever like raised from a pup just love that dog. Luckily, we she and I stayed friends. So I was able to go, you know. The dog. I love my. Yeah. And and then the other dog was a hundred and fifty pound Chesapeake Bay retriever named Bob to people names. Was we talked a little on our crossover podcast that you listen to at the beginning of the show when you switched over. Welcome back. Bob, great big dog. But so smart and so stubborn about Bob was Bob knew exactly what you wanted him to do. He would just decide whether or not he was going to do. It wasn't like it wasn't like above doesn't understand that. I want him to do this. No, no Bob knows full. Well. To do Bob is deciding whether or not he's going to let me do it. And there were several occasions where I would open up the door to the backseat and Bob which is sit there and look at me. I would try to usher Bob in. I would try to pick his giant button up and shovel in the car. But eventually he knew that eventually I would give up and do the one thing that worked which was going to the kitchen grab a bag of potato chips in the back. Would jump up into the bag? Lick salt off his face the whole ride wherever it was. I would do. Yeah. Where the potato chips one getting in this car unless they're potato. I would love to side with you, Mark. But I'm on Bob side for this young team. Bob, I have a question, Mark. I don't use the Chesapeake Bay retriever, right? I don't have any experience with that breed is is there like kind of intelligence and stubbornness common with that breed. That honestly, I do not know because that's the dog that came with the relationship. But I do know that there are retriever they're big they're water dogs. They love the water and Bob in particular was very very, very smart. And yeah, just insanely stubborn Bob once the water. There was at a while camping. There was one of the guys of the campsite was annoying. Bob. So Bob jumped in the water hopped out ran over and shook off right next to the guy that was annoying him. I love gust to annoy him a great revenge plan. That's that was a good move. Like Bob knew what would annoy this guy. Wow. That is smart dog fantastic. Was didn't have any other antics in the water? Was he ever stubborn like I'm not going in until or I'm not coming out into potato. Always. He would always go in go out way too deep. Sure. And then he would look back at us on shore. And go. We're like, you're the dummy that swam out swim. Eventually we would have to fight a stick wouldn't work..
