"Just something that I had, you know? You know? Yeah. You know, always always wanted to win the game. Uh, To try to reserve my will on the board. And you know, uh, my teammates for you know, we have the same mentality. So, uh, you know, just that's what I'm trying to install within them, Um, to make sure that we keep fighting. Don't give up. You know, You never know what could happen. Just have faith and, you know, play or have fun. That's all you can do. It's Darian Mel on ESPN Radio. The ESPN APP in Sirius XM Channel 80 interesting note here about Game Sevens, Uh, as it pertains to the youth and really the in experience. That the Mavs have in this situation. Rick Rick Carlisle has coached in Game seven just three times in his career. Josh Richardson's played 47 minutes in his rookie season in to Game seven. Krista support Zynga's Tim Hardaway Jr. Dorian Finney Smith, Maxi Kleber. They've never played in a game. Seven. Luca Dodge Incheon, Jalen Bronson have played in like Eastern European competition college competitions, but they've never actually been in a Game seven, the only player on the Mavs, who's actually played in one Is JJ Reddick and he's on the bench for this series, so I wonder how that's going to factor into things come Sunday. If it really does matter if you have that experience, or if it's just who is playing at the best level right now? Because that's a pretty big discrepancy there. Between what the what the Clippers have. And I mean, cool, wise experience and elimination games versus where the Mavs are right now. Yeah, and I think to, you know to for Game six. I think you know it was a real turning point moment in CA wise career to a certain extent, you know, the Finals MVPs on two different teams and multiple championships like he's a Hall of Famer. Obviously, no doubt. But if he was to go to the Clippers, Courtney and bow out early in the bubble, and then in the first round in this playoff, I mean That'd be a little bit of a mess. There'd be some questions to answer for co I, Leonard, so the fact that he stepped up and played this well was 11 of 14 from the floor in the second half last night. You talked about, you know the cliches backs against the wall or whatever. It was really him playing his best when his team needed it most. And I just think this for the Mavericks to win Game seven with all the experience factor, you know Tyler's coached in a couple game sevens in his career. I don't know if you're where there's the one in 2016 when when the Cavs won the championship, so Look, you know, I think in order for the Mavericks to win, Luca is going to have to have the 40. Point triple double again. I think that they're going to have to call on him for that kind of performance for him in Game seven. Just being great isn't going to be enough. He's going to have to be otherworldly. Game seven Clippers and Mavs coming your way on Sunday, but the scene is set for Round two of the NBA playoffs elsewhere. There's a lot that's being missed around the Nets, Bucks hypes, and we will tell you about that. Next off and.

Just hearing Tyler mentioned that that really feels like the difference in tonight's game is when you take your star players off the floor. What's going to be the plus minus there like he mentioned taking advantage Mint Lucas off the floor eventually. All right. But you would think the Clippers would have the advantage right because they have two of those guys and Dallas says one, but right now, very good Clipper offense indeed, but defensively, still not finding a way to stop this maverick offense. All right, They're coming back onto the floor. I'll look at Dodgers still on the floor, Jalen Bronson. Mavericks is on the third year man at Villanova for Dwight Powell and Maxi Kleber. Looks like they did. It will be number two, or did they get Kawai? Or I could just keep guessing who is on the floor? They might have gone with Nicolas Batum there. The Mavericks have gone small. "Get to your voice on the Clippers at Noah Eagle 15 coming up. We'll go back in time and clippers rewind will take things back to 2012. But first, let's let's turn things back over to know Eagle. Alright, Adam, Thanks so much no Eagle head coach Tyronn Lue getting ready for Game six, Clippers and Mavericks in Dallas. Coach. There was a lot of back and forth in that game five and certainly in the fourth quarter, fall down by 16 and bring it all the way back to within one in the final minute. What you like about your fight that your team showed Um, just our resilience and we've been having all year. You know, You never want to get down like that. And I thought I really hurt us. You know, when PC got his fourth foul, we had to take him by the game. And you put a lot of pressure on Kawada try to Make every play and, you know, he kind of got tired, worn down. We asked live turnovers that they were able to get out in transition to get some easy baskets. So, um, you know, he's got to be better. You know, in that third quarter, we can't happy to get into foul trouble. But I did like a fight. You know, Once we came back and had a chance to take the lead down the stretch, and one of the reasons for that fight, Terence Man came in, provided a huge spark. Once again, the energy off the bench is It's apparent every time he's on the court. Then he had to play at the very end of the game, and I know Terrence and I know he was probably upset with himself that he felt like he lost the game for the team, but as a coach as the leader of this team, what's your message to a young player like that? Who, Quite frankly, I don't know if you would have been in the game without him. That's what I told. You know, after the game. My text was that man, Great game, and he was kind of down and said, because he didn't take the layup or whatever, but I said we would never be in a position if you didn't play the way you played. So, um, you know, great job way to play and we got no shot of the game six so Um, you know, you love and the young guys, you know, they want to win so bad and want to do everything in the right way, but without his energy without him Garden look at the way he did. We would never had a chance to be back in that game. One thing Dallas did do in Game five, which they hadn't really done a whole lot in games. One through four was play some more zone defense started Boban Marjanovic in that game and really went to the zone early in that first half, forcing some more jump shots. To you. What's the biggest key at busting that zone in your zone offense if they do it again in Game six? Well, we just can't get enticed early for taking, you know, taking threes. I think you know, we still have a chance to attack the basket because when they're in rotation in the zone, we still can drive it because they're closing out so hard to our shooter. So, um, you know we were the best people and shooting team in the league, so we want to make sure we take our open shots, But guys are flying us and trying to brush off the line. We gotta make me put the ball back on the floor and drive to close out and get to the paint. Talk about adjustments all the time throughout the playoff series, and we've seen a bunch from both sides so far through the first five games of this one, But once you get now to the later portion of a serious game six of this one How small are those adjustments? I feel like at this point. You just got to follow the game plan, right? Yeah. I just got to follow the game plan pretty much lower. You know how they're trying to attack us. We They know how we're trying to attack them. So we just got to follow the game plan not make as many game plan mistakes, you know, as we've been making and be better at every guard, but also offensively, keep attacking the basket, Keep getting out in transition and second early. One other change that Dallas made in Game five, which we hadn't seen a whole lot of in games. One through four was playing more of Dwight Powell and we saw some more Dwight Powell minutes a bit of a different look than what you would see out of Kristaps sports injuries or Maxi Kleber or even Boban out there. What type of challenges does he provide for your defense? Just his energy. His offensive rebounding, um, can roll into the basket getting locked and dumps put a lot of pressure on your back line defense. But most of all, like I said, it's just his energy on the offensive glass. You know, sprint in the screens going hard, so we got to make sure we match his energy. Coach. We.

You makes ten million dollars a year. He makes less money. Than dwight powell. He makes six million less than josh richardson. And he makes less than one third of kristaps porzingis. Don't feel sorry for luca danjus because ten million dollars to play basketball is pretty good deal and when it gets time for him to get paid he going give paid in fact he just barely makes more than maxi kleber and i can get it but there were a few people. After we saw the steel were antiquated. Could lose twenty five million dollars off the supermax because of the fallout of covid nineteen saying how is that possible. He the back back. Mvp just signed the biggest contract and nba. History it's going to keep him in milwaukee through the twenty twenty four twenty twenty-five season is gonna pay more than forty five million dollars per year. That's the highest paid athlete in this north american continent and he is set and his great great great great. Great grandchildren are set. But there were some people who said he got gypped. We go to tijuana and you go to the market and you you feel terrible these little kids that like you know it's it's basically the third world have mud on their faces and they're like please give me money to narrow for war and then i bought one of those speak holy pullover shawls for dollar off this guy who just you know. He couldn't look more poor. I felt bad for him. And i got back to san diego. How much you pay for that shaw. It's like a dollar you got robbed dude. I got robbed hundred dollars but people will look at the honest thing and say well you know the max contract were it not for the corona and you look at the percentage increase on the cap from one nine to one twelve. The revenues should have been. Maybe as much as thirty five percent more and so there by johann us instead of getting to twenty eight point. Two probably shoulda got closer to fifty so he got ripped off highest but it just depends on how you look at it remember. The steelers offered le'veon bell the highest paid running back contract and nfl history and he said no. We're underpaid our careers short. We take a pounding. The tread comes off the tire. Like we're racing car. I need to take a stand for running backs. We need more money. And he's still a very rich man. But you know as i said it just a spree. Well how can. I possibly feed my family. Now if his family was the entire state of texas you would say. That's not enough money. It's just it's just your perspective. So i just think it's hilarious to see the richest contract in history and actually have some folks say well he does krona virus really ripped them off. It should have been more money. Do i feel sorry for him. No does jaanus will sorry for himself. Now are.

"Tim Luca is going to play for the Dallas Mavericks, but clearly because that sprained left ankle he's not going to be 100%. Must. Kristaps Porzingis is due to help out a hobble Luca today. Yeah, I just think posing as has to continue doing what he's been doing. He has to be aggressive, you know, And it'll be interesting to see do they? Obviously, the bread and butter of this offense is Luca, Don choppering, the pick and roll. Do they do a little bit less of that? You know, do they do they ask, posing as to create a little bit more of his own offense, whether that's off of some post up since they don't really love doing or, you know, some face up type stuff that'll be interesting. But I don't think it could be a situation report single tries to recreate the wheel. He just has to be himself ESPN and begin reporter Jim McMahon joining us here in MBA Gate Countdown presented by Red Box We get to set for the Mavericks in the Clippers game number four Clippers leave the serious two games to one. Kim. I found it interesting. Rick Carlisle. It almost seems like he's going with a different defence of philosophy here in this series against the Clippers, and it's not working. They were trying to slow down Kawai and he's got 100 points in three Name's directing the boys need You just say you won't know what? Forget the defense. Let's just try to outscore the Clippers because we can do it. Oh, and that's interesting because he came. You know the last several weeks for the regular season, they were playing smaller. They're starting lineup. Seth Corey was in there instead of Max Eklavya, who obviously has started In this series, and you know the best offense in MBA history. That was her best offense, a lineup. I mean, they were lighting up even by their ridiculously high standards. The problem is during fittings missed their defensive stopper. He can't defend quiet, right. He's just not, you know, physically strong enough, and you know as much as quiet has been dominant in this series. Maxi Kleber has competed defensive them If you look at the numbers when he's the primary fender on quiet, he's actually done a solid job requires just that good. But you know, this has allowed them to defend Paul George, with Finnish Smith and Paul George. Obviously. Hasn't gotten going, so I think the risk there is OK, look Quiet is going to get his no matter what do they risk Paul George getting hot and then you know you've got all kinds of problems. Here's the thing, though, When you face a team like the Clippers that you've got a surefire Hall of Famer and Kawai Leonard and a likely Hall Famer, and Paul George, right? There's often not a lot of great solution Tim McMann joining us and that's the interesting part is well, because if you are going to try to go for the offense, the offense, one would tend to believe that the Clippers is deep is they are, their offense would outdo the Mavericks depth on offense. Well, that that's debatable. It's it's It's the Clippers defense against the Mavericks offense, of course, without PAP. Definitely. That's a major piece away from the Clippers Defence. I tell you what, though. It's not, I mean magic school, 122 points out tonight. It's not like they were You know that they've been, and that was with a so so game from Lucca and and him leaving early. You know, it's not like the Mavericks have struggled to score in this Siri's Onda again, You know we are talking about statistically, nobody has produces many points per possession as the Dallas Mavericks their season. None of the recent Warriors team someone go all through history. It has never happened. So if it's just a trading buckets type of situation You know, the Mavericks, like their odds are the problem is the Clippers have guys like wire Leonard and Paul George and Marcus more senior who are trying to stop the Mavericks? Jim McMahon joining us here in MBA Gate Countdown. He's got basketball cover to the Lone Star State. Tim would Luca dodges in the ankle? This is now the third time that he has sprained An ankle. The previous two were on the right leg. This is on the left. How big of a concern is this for Dallas going forward? Well, you know, it's a concern when a guy sprained his ankle in a playoff game to say, Well, hey, the good news is it wasn't the other ankle. So yeah, There's no question it's a concern and You know the thing with ankles, the more you spray them, the more they tend to get sprained, so I obviously the matter was going to look at everything and that's going to be treatment. Now. Clearly whatever tape job they're using. Does he need to, you know, consider when wearing different Jordan brand shoes. I mean, they got to consider all those things and then You know, I'm sure Casey Smith, who's the Mavericks chief athletic trainer, You know the team use a trainer? I'm sure Casey and his staff are goingto you know, Think of things this summer. What might they be able to do to strengthen? His ankles. But some of this is just floop stuff like, you know, driving the basket, stepping on a foot away, sprained it the first time and the second time. You know, this is one where he kind of got bumped off balance and just roll the thing so Yes, it's a concern, but I think that's also just some bad luck involved. ESPN is Tim McManus, MBA reporter. "On the shop floor are you kidding me about that I couple things about that clip number one true holiday is the lead defender he is an all defensive team first team guy and Luca got him not once but twice on that clip got I'm going backwards pulled him forward and blew right by him I've never seen anybody make that guy look like that he just put one of the NBA's best perimeter defenders in a blinder and then he pulverized and then here's the other thing the other thing about that clip is this maxi Kleber we've doing if the games in overtime and look at his just humiliated offender like that can set you up for a wide open three to end the game you can make that shot you have to make that shot missing that shot is not an option look it does all of that puts the ball in the perfect spot and you miss it come on man you can't do that you did a great job and signed all game then you go and ruin all that hard work by puking all over yourself at the very end of the game at least two Luka was there to bail you out by tapping that rebound out to a teammate to retain possession but you can't let that happen thank you had yeah the morally so in your hands and then you vomited all over it or as the legendary Tom Crabtree once tweeted and I quote unless you making a painting it is imperfect by other standards but it is you're painting you're proud then somebody takes a bleep on it except that painting that painting was perfect that highlight from Luka was that good and then that shot was that bad but I guess I will let that slide did you did you monster work on the defensive end again sign on it was his defense against the rookie that put that second year star in position to dominate over time in any other year any year that Yanis is not doing what he's doing Luka is an MVP candidate in his second season in other words there's so much talent among the young guy's jaw design Luca tray the list goes on last night was a reminder that the next generation is not just on its way they're already here already here and they're already damn good the association is in very good hands once that puts on his past or better yet once they rip it from lebron's cold dead hands yes good as far as the next like I said already covered yesterday their garbage I hate to crush them two days in a row I can't even touch shot earlier in the program but man their dysfunction makes it so easy to rip them so hard not to rip them I mean they can't get the hell out of their own way a day after talking about James Dolan versus Spike Lee I can't help but laugh at the franchise's former savior Christos posing as and the waistline of late with the mass like I said this guy absolutely bald I guess the pelicans last night again thirty four twelve and five blocks that's not a one off either this guy's been playing that well of late so after some early season struggles in adjusting to his new team at his new situation with Luca coming out that ACL injury it looks like he is finally settling in he was in the Western Conference player of the week and since moving from the power forward spot to center his game is clicked in his chemistry with Luka has taken off this guy slid in applying a really efficient pick and roll pick and pop game with the second year superstar it is fun to watch Knicks fan I know you don't hear it now but it's kind of trending like he's back to being that unicorn that you all thought you had you know a seven foot three guy who can move blocked shots knocking down from long distance did I mention it he is still only twenty four yeah at least you have that cap space to pursue Kadian carry right expand the skin and so badly you know this yeah my man is not about to let you forget it either he was asked after last night's game if it felt like it had a playoff type atmosphere this is what he had for unix fan Mr on I wish I had that experience have some Knicks fan have some Jim Dolan.

"Point three last night we're looking at twenty one eight eight and I thought he was being passed over and I didn't think he was having this you know incredibly lookalike came and then the game got on the line and the kid makes three incredible place and Rick Carlisle said something fascinating to us prior to the game he said looking because I was asking him about a three point percentage probably not being where you wanted to be on the air and he said listen the attitude this kid brings to the game nightly can strike fear into the heart of the opponent and I thought that's what he meant right there because it didn't matter what kind of game he was having he he became extraordinary when it mattered and design I thought was fascinating back to back situation have played thirty three minutes the night before I didn't think there were times he looked fatigued I thought it was the best anyone had defended him last night what maxi Kleber did is an outstanding defensive before he was long again he did the best job and a tire design I'm still shot fifty percent a tired violent still plays in the restricted area much of the night and B. and B. as a development league like we we are seeing them die and someone who's just scratching the surface and maybe the best thing I saw from John was when he was out of the ballgame he was frustrated there was a competitive edge the league should be thrilled with these two guys have have a long hopefully a long healthy future in front of the doors I guess that that in when you look at these two guys because what we're talking about lofty expectations for both but where's the higher ceiling you know I saw yesterday on all our shows might everybody saying you know what you build with Diana or would you build with Luca and in such a tough question I think you have an science someone who's going to our first and foremost work on his free throw percentage she's going to get so filed so much he's got to get that up near seventy five eighty percent of that has to be first next year his conditioning will go to another level immediately which will make nights like last night a little bit easier for him you know it's nineteen years old they got no sleep they got here so late so all the travails of an eighty two game schedule the travel it's better it's better off and I look up is is so Polish do so savvy I guess if you're just talking ceiling and room for improvement I can say is I but in terms of what what Luke is doing I mean another thirty point triple double he's got ten already he's top ten in history already I don't know that I can answer I don't want to get your health back it's their fault your thing to be great what are you doing Doris Burke with us on the show pencil form inside let me phrase it differently than whose team do you think gets there first gets in it gets into contention sooner of the town when you've got a whole season sample size we know it's a little bit different for Zion this year yeah I would probably say okay now I'm gonna say this I think Dallas make yet to sail Western Conference finals earlier but I believe a long term you know with the growth potential of New Orleans maybe their team ceiling could be hiring again I mean we're trying to project out what is Dwight Powell when he comes back he gives an article space for more length okay a quick question that's going to be fascinating if the Milwaukee Bucks should get to a final to advance to the championship how much more it is that fundamentally shift the nature of the way the NBA is played and the reason I say that Mike is because the the boxer defending at an historically great level right at the rim that is the single most valuable point shots in basketball and they're doing it and and historically if they get there and should win it which is possible does everybody sort of say okay we need more rim protection and is everybody content to give up so the top of the key and above the break threes like that's a fascinating question to me and as I watched what Dallas was able to do last night defensively with maxi Kleber and and Kristaps porzingis at the five position in help I was like wow this is pretty special doors joining us let let let me throw another team in there because we talk about the young players okay gotcha as ion and John Moran Memphis is in the plans right now and and New Orleans is now again sign hasn't been around now you see sign on with Brandon Ingram Lonzo ball's been playing well as of late obviously forcing is with Luca jaren Jackson you know with which I'm ready to twenty year olds a lot of you fair so five years from now who do you think can build that better team I've now from Memphis into yeah well Memphis I think I need a lot more pieces than either of the other two right now it's currently constructed what that said what I love about what Memphis brings to the table is that fearless attitude and I go back and I know you guys enjoy this as much as I did when when are the two young stars from Memphis sort of took on Andre Iguodala in there was the back and forth like these two guys to have that level of leaf and confidence and swagger and back it up with your basketball skills now that special and very good you know I like a little bit of competitive nastiness in the NBA work maybe there's a little less you know friendship then god is not afraid to step on one another's toes like the edge that job Maranta jaren Jackson bring to the table is something that's really compelling to make because their their skill set side popping and that competitive nastiness leads to greatness and I love that about that.

"Is it just moved the tankers up a level? So now you have a team like the Mavs trying to get into that four. Whereas otherwise, I don't know if they would try to run for like French push for the playoffs. But the very least maybe they wouldn't be trying to bottom out. Right. There will always be a big benefit ascertain king. Yeah. I mean, they're still trying to do. They definitely should. I think it was implicit in the move. They made for Chris tops. I think it was it was baked into that. It's like if you're going to give Kristaps and not play him. You're not gonna win game. There's kind of an acceptance satellite. We're just gonna do this next year. Which is I mean, that's kind of interesting because that's also the line is, you know, when it isn't up to your players in your coaches in. It's kind of the front office decisions. What is tanking and what has just saying? This isn't our year, you know, the line kind of fizzles, but I don't think that the Mavs are traditional hardcore hawks tanking, you know. But I think that now they definitely should that would be the the most remarkable full circle moment if they got this draft pick your top five draft pick in a trade that brought you Luca Donncha, which I do wonder down the stretch if we'll start to see teams who just aren't going to make the playoffs a team like Washington would see how hard they tank or are they put their foot on the gas in terms of like just Washington is really interesting because they are the place right behind. Dallas right. They are still making a push Claus in very much could make it in the east. It's still possible. Its positives back. I think they're two spots. Back three games back. Yep. So that's kind of fascinating. Like, you're just you're closer to everything is just not they aren't such polar opposites anymore. Why did say before that perhaps thinking just moved up a level? Does seem like a lot of teams in that mix are still either going for or remaining competitive in the hawks of shown a lot ibn just to see how it affects pick protections in trades going forward if the Mavs can hang onto this. That's interesting like, maybe just top three intelligence make it. Yeah. It's only make you rethink things because there are a lot more teams. Like, you said kind of still we lean that playoff mix. Now a lot if we're being honest with ourselves. But like you said teams that are competitive so. Yeah. So before we go, I guess we have to answer. The question is this anything. Yes. It's a thing. Yes. For future implications for the Mavs in the league and the system and the reform and just Cuban getting the last laugh, so funny. I think it's not a thing. But he's I don't think you're going to keep it going to get the pig. Yeah. We're talking about will. They actually keep the pick think it's they add odds are are against them. But I think it's the right move is. They don't tell you that both of those games kind of crucial. There you go. So Luca, look still get KP have thirty million in casts. A sit Luca is what I'm saying. It was set Luca Kleber. He's the guy there have too many dumb Powell. Dirksen type. Pals shouldn't your threes. Dirk had this quote words, like my kid really likes like maxi Kleber Dwight Powell because they Dunkel. Really come to the phrase love dunks. "I mean, you know, it's kind of two questions. One is related, but not necessarily the same one is you know what's his long-term upside, but to is, you know, how can he just improve enough to be actually a positive player, like with some of the smaller things that he has to work on. Right, right. You know, I think he figured out some of it as he went along and he he had a lot of instances early in the season where he went into defenses, didn't get fouled. You know, a lot of block shots early on, you know, he might have even shied away from contact a little bit because of that to to in the season. So you know, the biggest thing is that that he needs to improve his his, his foul rate. You know, he needs to figure out how to get to the line more often than he did on these drives because he's obviously a very explosive player can get to the rim rather easily, but but just finishing around it. That's that's going to be a huge thing. Point eight, three point, eight, three, three hundred as awful well, and that just won't kind of. And I think one of the things that's underrated about finishing two is getting fouled really helps your stats with finishing because you think about all right, you know, you go in for what would be tough layup? If you can get to the foul on that eliminates a mislabeled and makes it free throws instead probably you know. So it's a lot of these guys who are really bad finishers also never get to the foul line. And so if you get better getting to the foul line, you're eliminating a bunch of misleads at and you're helping your officiency there too. So you know, getting to the foul line isn't just okay. We're replacing just some random shot with getting to the free throw line. It's, you know what you're replacing, what probably is going to be a miss an amiss around the room, which of course is very damaging to your transition defense. No, yeah. Those those goes those go hand in hand. And I think that you know, he, he had, you know, he has a bag of tricks. He can. He can finish lamps these no career over anything like that. But. He's not a bad finisher. And I think a lot of a lot of the reasons that stocks look bad is because he just didn't get to the line over and over again. And so he was throwing up these these wild MRs and you know, just kind of hitting the floor, but not not being rewarded for it. So I think that's a huge thing. The other big thing is that you know, in some cases, he was just left on an island, but especially in that starting five that team used most of the year or I think they used about thirty games, but the lineup, those usually most was Dennis Smith, Wes Matthews Harrison Barnes, maxi Kleber, and Dirk Nowitzki. And over that only Dennis is really capable with the ball in his hands to create things consistently. You know, they would run pick and rolls over and over and over again. They would try to get that that Barnes isolation matchup mismatch sometimes they'd get it to jerk. But that lineup was just not affective. And in a lot of it fell on Dennis, just being asked to do too much in with a with another ball handler in the lineup with Luca in a much more ball movement, friendly offense that the team's going for. You know, I think that if you can play off the ball and he's a decent off ball player, hit about thirty..

"The I know they've raised a lot about his passing out of the pick and roll his ability to find shooters. One of the issues was, well, how's he going to hold up defensively? So I was he looked on that end early on here. He's, he's been fine. You know, I think that he's, he's not going to be fine as a lot better than I expected. Right, right. Right. You know, it's, I think he's strong enough. They basically have them guarding powerful words out there defensively in, you know, I think that's probably the best case scenario for him. You don't want them downshifting too much in, like I said, he's going to be below average, of course. But you know, I think all things considered he has some, yes, some instincts that I wasn't impressed. I wasn't expecting at one point he was. He was playing. I think he was playing four in maxi. Kleber was playing five and in Luca actually shifted over for a week site block on a on a big man on a big men on an MBA big. I'm blinking on the guy, but whoever is with the Beijing, ducks one of those former, it's the former Miami Heat shooter. Hamilton Hamilton? Yeah. Just in Hamilton, you know, he's he's played against the shop Clockers and I assume that he just didn't think LUKA was gonna come over to block the shot and then put up kind of easy attempt. But Luca had the timing and the instinct to co go do that. I think he had three blocks my able for all again, not not the players but, but I think overall he has enough instincts that that he won't always be just lost out there. You know, I think I think copy. Okay. What are they doing defensively with Reynaud? He's at the four, but have they been doing a lot of Switzerland. OD Andrei miss the China trip for personal reasons or at least the games for personal reasons? You know? So there been starting to white, Pol and Cleveland have been the the centers, but they've been switching. They've been going more of a conventional style and. House Luca held up in the context of what they're doing scheme was in the past two games with with a couple starters, missing Deandra who had a death in the family and in Harrison Barnes who has a hamstring strain, they played pretty conventionally, and the first game they did try switching a little bit at media day. Rick talked about Ricardo l. talked about how they're going to switch more than they have in past years. It looks pretty messy in the first game, but I think that's to be inspected for fourteen that wasn't switch heavy last year. I think that starting five, they have is criticize fairly fairly switchable. De'andre Anthon Luca are probably the two week links, but they're both decent sized and not totally immobile you. I think I think it forever is Dwight Powell or especially maxi into that starting five. Subbing in once Andre comes out or something like that. I think that that units almost clearly switchable, not not not to the level that the team Houston or something like that, but I think that they have the ability to it to some extent. But overall, I don't. I don't think it's not going to be a major part of their offense in the way that you know, other other do that a major part of their defense in the same with at some other teams are doing that. It's going to be something they bring out here and there, but I think late shot clock institution that. So you mentioned the injuries, Dirk. Is it still accurate to say he's probably not untracked to start the season. He's he's probably a few weeks out now, so. Well, you know, maybe even into November, you know, hopefully late October, probably probably November read guests what what's the story there? I know he had dealt with some ankle problems, but he had surgery after the season. Those, you know, of course, everyone deemed it minor..
