It was it's the weirdest year, right? I mean, we're just here in golf history. Is that fair to say? I mean, with everything combined in it. I mean, I think your point about the golf is maybe the part we forget the most, right? Like who was ranked one and where some of these guys fell. But in terms of just golf across the board, we had these mixes of greatness, right? We had like top star athletes winning big events. Mixed in with the crazy, weirdest strangest like what's gonna happen next week. Year we've ever had in the sport. I think no one in golf media cares more about the year end top three in the rankings more than Dylan, at least that's the vibe that I get. He really cares about these things. And it's never been more important, like the fact that cam Smith was ranked tenth and just kind of like entering our, I guess, our ecosystem of what we care about. He beats John rom in Hawaii. Week one, he shoots 34 under in the process. And obviously that is 12 months ago, but it feels like 12 years ago. And it feels that way because life was so simple then. It really was simple. I thought we had John rahm as like our king. Number one in the world. He quickly kind of falls off after that. And cam Smith, I'm just worried about what the PGA Tour is going to do with all of its recent winners at the beginning of the year. They can't talk about cam Smith winning Hawaii. They can't talk about Hudson swafford winning in the desert.

"He doesn't have to drive from city to city sleeping in his car and all this stuff like a Callum Taryn when he wins his first PGA Tour event is going to be a lot more and more emotional, maybe about his financial stability now and being able to just be in this thing and become like a big household name as opposed to like, all right, now I'm like one away from catching Tiger Woods and like being in the record books. That initially I was feeling might be different for different people. You know what I mean? I would say those things aren't mutually exclusive though. Like, if you win. Yeah, you can feel both. I think most guys probably feel both. I think there are probably probably do, but I have all this money now accomplished this thing as well, or the other way. It's like, oh, I accomplished this thing. I always wanted to. Oh, and I have all this money. I actually think those things are far more mixed than they are mutually exclusive. But they're mutually exclusive in the fact that at the end of the day, guys are choosing one over the other and you're seeing that now from week to week with live tour. Like guys are just deciding on one over the other. So like, I'm just saying that there's two different types of people, I think, that what drives them more. Clearly, what you're saying, if will's outdoors was presented with $500 million, what drives him more is all the stuff that Riggs just said. And then if you and show Matthew wolf, that $500 million, he's going to go to the money as opposed to caring at all about being a PGA Tour historic leader. All right, and if we look at it that way, which it probably is that way, the numbers far, far more skew in the PGA Tour direction. Like, we see all the names that live guys get, but it's a very, very, very small percentage of people who have gotten that money. Like it's the fields are small. They're doing that on purpose. So it's like, yeah, maybe they offered all these guys a ton of money. It seems like they offered everybody under the sun. Anybody who had any sort of pedigree, any sort of pedigree on the PGA Tour, gotta offer from live and a very small percentage of players, a very small percentage of the top ten players in the world took that money. So then you gotta think that the regular like the way the human brain would work is it money or is it glory? It seems like a lot of people pick glory. We're just focused on the guys who pick the money because they're a huge name. But there's only like 20 guys that make the PGA Tour with the PGA Tour is. So there's already a very fine night amount of people that live could have picked from that would have made an impact, right?

So when I hear this BS about the fact that although they're not signed in top players, well, they didn't get Roy McIlroy and Scottie scheffler and John rom, no, they don't have them. They didn't get Jordan Spieth yet, not yet. You know, they didn't get Patrick canley yet. They didn't get head Hideki matsuyama yet. They didn't get Cameron Smith yet. But I'll tell you what, any of those players that people, the media likes to point out, although, you know, that wasn't much of a signing stints and Koch rack and Charles hall with third. Those three players would all be in featured group coverage of their plan on the PGA Tour and half their events. That's how bad the PGA Tour events are. You know, I mean, that's just the fat Matthew wolf. So young player they got, you know? James piet number one ranked damage or the Oklahoma state golf for that day. So guys, number two ranked amateur world. They're not void of talent on this live tour. And they're getting more. They're going to get more. I don't know what they're looking at. Obviously they wanted the top players. But then they just started taking players. Greg Norman gets a lot of criticism. But Greg Norman is not an idiot. Craig Dorman is a very, very successful businessman. I mean, you know, people criticize Greg Norman. They criticize the fact that he'd lost the masters on the last round or they can criticize him for whatever. He posts pictures of himself standing in the shower. Whatever they want to, they laugh at them, they criticize them. They make fun of them. You know, he's got a vendetta out against the PGA Tour. They talk about that. But I haven't heard anybody that was stupid enough to criticize Greg Norman's business sense. Now, Greg Norman is not sharing, and I don't think he's certainly had something to do with it, but he's not the one that came up with this whole L IV business plan. See, people are people are saying like the LA VO they're just throwing all this money in there, they're never going to get it back. They don't care if they get it back. I don't think that's true. Impressed with his tempo. Love that golf swing. He has low arm tension. That's what everyone should be emulating out there. Davis Riley always good to see him on the board. Yeah, I feel bad. I kind of did a drive by on Davis Riley, but why? What I was saying about a swing. I just feel like he swings so good. Well, I get that, but my point is I find it more interesting to watch a guy like kitty Yama try to get it around than I do watching you just described your golf game to a T like, oh yeah, the adventure is more fun than just doing it the smart stock way here. Yeah, for sure. As an entertainment product for sure, I wish more swings on the PGA Tour were unique. And I think in the age of the track man, we're getting away from that. There's just not a lot of homegrown golf swings out there. Like I hate that Matthew wolf is in the wilderness because I love watching him swing the golf club. I think it's crazy. And it's fun. You know, I hope he gets back. I love watching furyk hit the ball. I think it's fascinating. So that's just my personal my personal feelings. Every player has their own unique style of play. They have their own unique way of swinging the golf club. That's part of what we love about golf. It also happens to be what we love about bourbon, like Elijah Craig, for example, Neil's got some sitting right there. That was totally by accident. "My big takeaway from the week is that holy cow holy cow holy cow. It is so darn hard to win on the PGA Tour. This isn't even in a really, really big tournament. This was in a pretty mid sized mid level size golf tournament. And Martin trainer was holding on to the steering wheel and the steering wheel was shaking. And, you know, if anyone's driven about a hundred miles an hour in their car, the steering wheel, if the car isn't used to that, starts shaking. And that's kind of what it looked like for him. It's kind of what it looked like for Scotty scheffler. That's definitely what it looked like at moments for Kevin tway. And Matthew wolf even looked really shaky. And I guess it was just on full display that at any given moment, any given tournament, there's just a lot of luck involved. There's a lot of randomness involved, and it's definitely maddening when you have the cream of the crop rise. The cream rises to the top and you have a group of ten people that are one of them is going to win the tournament this week. And it kind of comes down to whichever one was about the luckiest or basically whatever one hit like three or four shots at the end of the day. It was really hard for me to watch the wheels fall off for a couple of people at the tournament today. And you know what? Maybe it's because we really, really like Martin trainer. But even Scotty scheffler, I was pulling for that kid to get his first victory. And he looked super shaky until he was out of it and then suddenly he starts bomb and driver everywhere and hitting the fairway. It is an absolute mental grind out there and maybe the person who was freest was the person who entered the day ten shots back and eventually shot 65 and won the gulf tournament Jason Kokrak, you know? There's something to be said for.

I'm looking at my elbow in the shower being like, dude, I'm like one crashing away from this thing blowing. Like on the first song. I was just like, what happens if that happens? Like so much so many people are excited for us and then I'm like in the shower and I'm thinking like Monday's coming up and bro like the black in my eyes started getting closer to the middle. I was like, it was my first ever real life like diagnosed panic attack. It was a legitimate, you look on WebMD. What is a fucking stress anxiety panic attack? That was it. So that was dude, I almost passed out in the shower, which would have been bad. Really bad. I go up to Robbie Fox. I'm like, dude, I don't think I can play the show. I'm like something's wrong with me. He's like, you're fine. I was like, I don't think I am, man. It was weird. Do you feel like a weight has been lifted or is it now just whatever the next thing is is weighing down on you? Yeah, no, 'cause this is a big one. That's a really big one to get to. No, this was a big one. This was exciting. So yeah, now we're working with cross country mortgage. He's fifty third in the fedex. Cup standings so you think you know a guy likes shulamit. He has finished top twenty in in in every major that he's played in this year didn't play the masters but eighth the pga fifteen. The us open nineteen at the open. So definitely someone who's going to have a lot of Incentive to finish high the next two weeks getting that top twenty five going into eastlake so more than enough data to tell us that stream is more than capable of contending in these elite fields with this high finishes at the majors in so My best bet for the week is kevin strom in top twenty plus three hundred it hopefully stop by the gas station grasping glasses before the round. And and academy. For some wilson clubs. But i gotta. I gotta put that aside this week lead exactly and for my best bet on more Us to ten is leading the fedex cup you know obviously wants to keep that lead going into going into the east lake obviously winning the fedex cup but can obviously go for it.
