I can't tell you you know that that create show much the production design overs. Kelly's rollins and she really recreated the spirit of texas chainsaw massacre two she her homework she had a great the propping and the design was impeccable. And the comedy. That comes through the attraction that anthony has for change how to really comes through nursing. Anthony is a general. He is on top of everything. Math moving a fast pace but he really got the spirit of the film right and of course i on you usually. We can't say enough about him. What what a heroic and terrific figure is. You've got such a great sense of fun but you know. He's the cornerstone of the whole thing. He really is. Know the pictures that god leaked earlier on and you know people were saying the costumes. Look very star wars ear guardians of the galaxy. And you know we are not. I can definitely tell you that we are not going for that five for that element. This is a very true Star trek film. And in fact i think out of all of them is is more true to the original series than anything previously done and I can tell you that the visual effects and the set pieces and props. Everything has been amped up. It's amazing Visually i think this is you know the color palette and and the color schemes of some of the stuff that i've seen is just it's mind-numbingly awesome and i think that that so far this has been kind of a disappointing summer for movies There haven't been any like really standouts for me personally. And i think i think a lot of people are gonna go see beyond Because it's a great film and that's that's you know. I'm not just plugging my film my movie. I'm actually a big fan of movies. In general and i and i i have not seen the full film so i. I'm not saying. I definitely know that is going to be but i believe that this film is going to be the best movie of the summer. Cool well you had. Jj working with you the first two films now. You have a new director justin lane and did the vibe on the change at all in the first couple of films you know. We're we're getting to know each other. We spend a lotta time together second film. It's a little bit more familiar now. We're on our third film. Everybody's like it's like you never left and it's like hey how you doing well you know. I haven't seen you for three years. But it's just like you just pick up where you left off and i think for as far as the director goes Justin is kind of like a substitute teacher. You know coming into to fill in you know. He's more than that though because it. I'm just sit using the substitute teacher as a. He's the cool substitute teacher. The comes in. It's like the groundwork has already been established. We have the class and everything. But he's the cool guy that comes in and and He kept all the same standards for excellence. And i think that his style is slightly different than jj as far as he. He uses a lot of different Camera setups in camera. Shots to shoot the same thing and and from that aspect you know you because he does that because the action you know it. It's able to capture that action sequences a lot more because you have a lot more material you know whereas a lot of jj stuff is you know one to two cameras setups for a scene so i think visually and beyond is going be amazing but i think also with this one it keeps its heart kids. It's it's humor in and really stays true to the world that gene roddenberry created. So i i gotta ask you about who is one of my favorite actors. And hey if they want to make him james bond. So when you're looking at an email or or any design just look at the different points of things so there's one type of topography another. There's another that's three points. There's a line there's a different kind of line. That's now five points. There's this amount of space between things and now there's this other amount of space between things now the seven points and you're like golf you're trying to get at low as scores possible so unless a line that's different is doing some unique job you're like it has to be that for this specific reason than kill it get rid of it and always trim trim sentence isn't doing specific job get rid of it right get down to your essential message your minimum viable communication. I want to believe that they were motivated by a desire for justice by desire for the truth and a desire for the BMR military to be held accountable for its actions. I think it's also noteworthy that both of these soldiers come from ethnic minority groups and for a very long time, we've know that some pretty at times brutal discrimination takes place within the ranks of the medium or military itself. I mean, I think of Aunt Song Suki, Myanmar's most public politician, She's artfully dodged the allegations of genocide. How can the Nobel Peace Prize laureate possibly walk away from this body of testimony? In many ways, her credibility internationally in shot. She has become a mouthpiece in many ways for the Myanmar military. She's doing the work of the military in denying that these atrocities had taken place. The Rohingya that you're in touch with Matthew how they reacted to these confession videos. Many people in the community are very hopeful. Right now. This is a moment that a lot of people for a very long time we're telling the writing of people this would never happen. A lot of people were dashing the hopes of the community saying, You know, The Hague is too far away from me, Amar. The military is immune from this type of accountability. And I think today a many Rohingya have expressed quite a lot of hope for justice and accountability. Think the people that I'm speaking with running in the camps and wrangle were in Yangon right now and elsewhere in various countries in the world? They know this isn't a silver bullet. They know this is not the answer, but they do recognize that this is a tremendous blow to Myanmar's denials.
