"From the win and the loss is it's like just one thing. And you got you got to wait three hours for it. So I like the little stuff because it is pretty interesting. So goals from Kachak and Eichel, you can go nose to nose with those guys. And it always seems easy. Would you not say when you look at a lot of times, doesn't it just jump out? That's the one. Well, that's like I was saying about the overtime. So that's got to happen, right? Or, yeah, Jack Eichel minus 125 to score more goals than Matthew Kachak. I don't know. Kachak's been really good scoring big goals. Maybe I'm going to take the underdog. But here's here's what I always say to that. The winning bet is always right there. It's always right there. Nobody's hiding it from you. You can take it. You just got to pick the right one. And that's where it gets tricky. Always in the final. I would say the con smice. Interesting. Yeah, I mean, Sergey Bobrovsky is the favorite right now. Matthew Kachak's a plus 250 second place there, which is interesting because Vegas is a minus 137 favorite in the series. And from what I can tell, it seems to be picked. People are like, OK, this Florida thing's got to run out at some point. But in the cons, my thoughts, is it a John Sebastian Zagair situation where no matter what happens, Bobrovsky could get it? Because maybe nobody's run away with it on the Vegas side of things. But when you look at Vegas players on the odds, Jack Geico plus 350. March yourself plus 600. William Carlson, with all the goals he's got, plus 750. Mark Stone plus 900. You're picking Carlson. William Carlson. I'm biased. I just came off that series. That guy is good, man. And he's playing really well. He's playing really well. One of those guys to me that seems like he's a big game guy, too, right? When you need something to happen, he seems to always have his name on the score sheet. Now, obviously, Vegas is the mecca of the gambling world. I mean, everything is done online now. But do you think this helps the process? Or is it just because it's a spectacle event? It is hockey, Super Bowl, right? So you're going to have that activity and that action just through the reality of a Stanley Cup final? Or is there a bit of a bump, a bit of a push, because the Vegas Golden Knights are involved? I would say locally in Vegas, or there will be. And I say it will help the tourism in Vegas. Not that they really need that help. I know there's been a lot of time there lately with thousands and thousands of people. But when I look at it, I personally, I was like, oh, game seven would be in Vegas. I mean, could I go? The first two games are in Vegas over the weekend. Should I go? And I'd say there's a whole lot more people that are having that consideration as well. Yeah, it would be a whole lot of fun, man. It's going to be a heck of an atmosphere there. And on the other side of things, they don't have legalized sports betting in the state of Florida. So then, you know, when you walk to get there, you don't see as many ads in the stadium and whatnot. So it's quite the juxtaposition if we're using big parts here. Oh, you guys are deep into the area. We've got it all, man. This is awesome. All right. Can't let you go, Chris, without prediction, but we're going to start with Ray. Ray, who's winning the series? How many games? OK, I don't like this.

"No, you're right. Okay, let's go east. Carolina. And Florida, that now shifts that series Florida wins game two in overtime. And Matthew kachak just finds a way, right? He continues to be a difference maker, but you know, it's just not about the goals because if you're judging Matthew good chuck on that, the playoffs have been a whole hum, others. They go overtime winners, but that game two man. That was more of what we're used to seeing from Matthew, but almost in a very controlled manner, right? Like he was after Bret pache and he's after Brent burns and he's just creating havoc in front of that Carolina net in doing everything that makes him a star player in the night. Yeah, but staying out of the penalty box, which he was not so great at earlier in his career. And so I talked about eichel's game, like you got to be maybe a little older to embrace the way that Jack eichel's playing and he's done that. And I noticed a major difference, we had a few of Matthews games in the first round while the Panthers and in the regular season had a couple of games too. And it just seemed like he wasn't in the slop as much anymore. And I think part of that is a realization. I don't know this, but I'm going to say just in appearance that he realizes his value on the ice. You can still stir it up, but you need to be on the ice. And he's smart and he makes good plays, like he makes these really good around 15, 20 feet, a good little touch pass is given gold plays. And he sprung free the other night and would slavin drops his stick in the corner, chuck's got a free roaming to the net, and this feels a lot to my experience of what we did in 93, but we didn't win two games in this round. It's like a team that you think is overmatched, just isn't. Ed bobrovsky's been fabulous, been amazing. It won't like, you know, when I said it will play in most of a good game like, what part of the game does Carolina not like the other night? I know the part they lost. Because in the first period, the shots like 18 to one or 17 to one point. Lopsided and bobrovsky kept at one and he's more than done his job. Now they go home and I still don't think it's over, but my head, I think my heart tells me it's not over because I believe in Carolina, but my head is telling me, they're going to win four out of 5 games and three of the games are in Florida. Like it stuff. It's a tough road here for Carolina for sure, because that what we thought was a weak spot at the start of the playoff straits might become the weak spot here as they don't have easy goals in them. They don't have a one shot from Patrick Eddie or one shot from swatch took off. And so they got a grind these games though, but that's how Florida's played. Florida's done this for two months. Three months. They've done this since February. And man, they're full marks to be in the place they're in right now. Well, and look, I mean, game by game, it looks like Sasha barkov is getting. I remember having this conversation with palmaris early in the in the second round leaps in Florida bat. There's and he said, you know, Markov was sick during the first round against Boston. And it took him a while to get his wind and everything that started to come back. And we saw that in the victory over the leafs, but you can tell that he's got full stride again. I mean, you know, that role that he scored in the second period.

"TJ, I once sold an autographed terrier Riley poster to my brother for 45 cents. Because I heard the ice cream truck coming. And I had that on my wall at one point. Well, so Scott wouldn't even give you 50 cents? No. This game in question that we're talking about at the time was the third longest hockey game in NHL history behind a game that was played in 1933 and in 1936, although not in that order. So I was the first ever host and television history to host 6 intermission reports because these games prior to the game four of the 1996 first round playoffs. We're not played when there was television, let alone sponsored segments of a highlights. Within a sponsored intermission, so I had that record until, unfortunately, because you know, I like to hold these record holders. Three more games were played longer. I believe there have been some 5 overtime games played in the interim, so this game that I was talking about was the 6th longest game in the history of the NHL until last night. When the Panthers won with just where you got 12 seconds left in the game. On pardon me, 12 seconds left in the fourth overtime. They're staring at 5th overtime in the face. When Matthew kuchuk, chuck, lit the lamp, and here's the call, by the way, kudos to Doug play plugins. Of the Florida Panthers radio network because he calls the games by himself. He's got no one to talk to. No. Kind of like rich when he was doing those highlights. So what was it called a DSP in which the garage that we used to do? No, the garage was way out in the parking lot. This was in a small in the main building, I guess, building two, whatever the hell they call it, I've been away so damn long, building one, I don't know. But let's just give a plague in some play right here. Here's the call. Dumps it in down to our right. Here's great first keeps it to the outside. Sam Bennett keeps it in out front. Kentucky shop. He's gone. He's gone. Matthew, good chuck. The overtime winner. The Panthers take game one three two. The final Matthew can chuck is the marathon and the Panthers go home happy tonight here in Raleigh. Matthew kachak, the overtime winner. Three two the final. The longest game in the history of both franchises into the top ten longest games in National Hockey League history. And Matthew katsuki gets it done. Speaking of energy at two 15 in the morning and he talked and by himself the entire night. Do you think he was more happy that the Panthers won the game or that he could find? I totally understood Gretzky last night was like when somebody scored a goal and put the puck in the GD net. You know what I mean? I felt the same way sitting in the NHL tonight studio. In 1996, can I go home and then I walked out the door, Bill peto came in and did do anything. It was Billy peto. You might say, chuck a chow. You could say that. Very good. I just thought it was a queen. His mom, what can I do? Come on. You didn't think of like oh my God. Oh, my God. I said that, by the way. If you just said that. It's your show. It's your name. You can see whatever you want. Remember? I used to do because you heard when a hockey announcer shoots in scores. They go higher register up in there. So they all do that. Many of them. Like that. So I used to do that for a highlight on SportsCenter. He shoots he scores, like that. He shoots his guns. PTSD. It's a miracle. Until Susie arrived at ESPN and told me to my face that that is the worst call. On highlights. And is not befitting of the falsetto turned her off. Now, had you just for this feedback? What do you think? But probably not unsolicited in two cents. She's probably not. But basically, if this scenario of the Susie and I meeting at ESPN in 1996 was like Back to the Future, every single time I made that call, he should just go on SportsCenter. The photograph of all of us together. We've started to fade. Yeah. Awful. So I removed that from my repertoire. So let me get this straight. You guys are in the hallway. ESPN, you see this cute blond coming up to you, you're thinking, hey, I'm the man. And she goes, hey. What you're doing sucks. That's not how it went to. Good days later. I would agree that. And that's how we do that hockey. Here on the riches. And that kids is How I Met Your Mother. Let's do that hockey. All right, let's take a break the machine. Let's bring out the machine. You want to talk about energy. Hey, that was a great thank you. Standing. The great Bert kreischer is here to talk about the machine. The more chalk incident. From CJ and Bloomington. Do we have that? I don't think we even have that hunt tape. I apologize. He also suggests we do Josh day every Friday. Oh, that's nice. You guys know, I get embarrassed. When is the big day? The anniversary. August 1st, 7 years. Okay. Jackie decided more than you know. You know what I want this year of petting zoo out there in the parking lot. That would be fun. Last year we had a one man band. Oh man. Very exciting. I do. I remember that fondly. Yes, that one man band. He was just great. I think we'll probably do a cake. He was better than about more than half the bands I see. He was absolutely good. Josh, if we do a cake, what is your favorite cake now? Essentially, wedding cake. I like white cake with white icing. And a lot of fondant, right? I don't care for the fun though. I'm a more cake less icing guy. Oh, really? Yeah. You could give me an un iced cake and I'd be okay with it. So you haven't ever taken a can of frosting. Opened it up, put your finger in there and lick it off your fingers. As a kid, when my mom would make a cake, yeah, sure. Okay. But no, not as an adult. Do you buy frosting for that purpose when you're not making a cake, you just keep frosting in your kitchen? Yeah. You do. What do you get like a funfetti? No, no, I get the chocolate chocolate chocolate. When I'm feeling crazy, I get the peanut butter out. And you dip it in the peanut butter, get a spoonful of peanut butter and then dip it in the chocolate frosting. Oh, that'll get you there. You got good peanut butter. Now yes I do. It was an incident. Pat was house sitting for chick. Oh, that ever happened. I have no idea. That was my fault. Oh, and you have a special jar of peanut butter, which you use to refill various dog toys. Absolutely. Yes, I do, and it's marked clearly with a sharp dog. Dogs. On the top on the red lid in black sharpie. Pat not seeing that. I was using that peanut butter. I had an odd texture to it. Did you find it either you were actually licking your own groove after eating that? I'm sorry. We need to check in with the sporting scene with mister McGee. What do you got? Okay, Matthew kachak beat Frederick enderson in the final seconds of the fourth overtime to lift the Florida Panthers past the Carolina hurricanes three two. And he's not related to how we che ching. Early this morning. Who's how he should change? Why should we know how he should change his excellent chess player? Who knew? Who knew? No, he said Keith could charge boy. Are you making that up? Yeah, the kachak is royalty, and the chuck and caching. He's well paid. I thought he invented the casualties. Kachak took a feed from Sam Bennett, what the hell is he doing playing hockey? After Florida won a battle for the puck, Carolina tried to clear the puck. Boy you just glance at that. That sentence out of the corner of your eye and you see. No, you don't see puck. He then whipped a shot right circle past Anderson 12.7 seconds left in the fourth overtime to win. So they almost went to a 5th. Yeah. And you know, these NHL playoffs, I'm a casual observer. Being at the sports desk. And it seems like all of these end in overtime. So many. People lose their minds about the NFL going to NHL. It's shame on the find it more interesting. "In the game two, in particular, where he gave up the most before I really went off the rails was mostly due to the play in front of him where there was so many defenses. They're really hanging about the dry. I'm like they had all regular season, right? So if your argument the whole time was, well, what sorrows or sorokin or hellebuyck did this year was more impressive because of the team in front of them and all Marx cases being bolstered by what is happening in front of his defense system than seeing that I think must have been very sort of vindicating or like aha see this is exactly what I was talking about when he's put in this situation where sorrows, hella buckets, and we're in many more times this season. He wasn't able to carry them now. I thought he played pretty well up until game 5 or so in game four in particular, right? He had that amazing game. He has an assist. He stops like 45 plus shots or something. He gets in that fight with Matthew kachak towards the end of the game. He wasn't moving right though. He was clearly hurt. I'm no goalie expert you are more so than I could just tell every time he was getting up after a save or after a stoppage. He looked like an old man who was like gingerly getting to his feet after sitting in his reclining chair for too long, right? And it was like, it was very bizarre. The first goal he gave up to Brandon montour in game 6 should have been the biggest red flag. Like if you go back and watch that one on tour, it is a four on three power play or whatever and he gets a good look, but it's like a short side goal and Walmart's reaction after that one was very bizarre. Like he looked like he was a guy who just did not trust his body physically and was very upset about it.

Matthew kachak assisted on verghese OT winner giving him 11 points in the series to help take down a record 65 win and 135 point bruins team. Let's be honest, nobody in the whole world thought we were gonna win this series except for the guys in that room. So it's pretty cool feeling right now. The Hockey PDOcast

"If you look at you look a little closer, like Steven Valkyrie sent me data from clear set analytics, they went from first and expected goals generated off the rush to 14th. They went from first in breakaways generated the 25th this year, right? They're clearly changed the way now you send me some stuff from sport logic as well that you have access to. And I believe only the bruins generate more off the cycle in terms of chances than they do the season, which they were good at that last year as well. But to me, I think that was part of the logic beyond just the contract status in the age of the trade they made this off season was they wanted to diversify their offensive approach and change the way they play and Matthew kachak is one of the best players in the league at playing from below the goal line and creating as a playmaker from there. And so I think all of that makes sense. I can't say it's a bit disappointing because they were so fun last year, so it's a bit disappointing in that regard. I think they're better than their results are shown that so far this year. I think it's also okay because this was always going to be a bit of a bridge here for them in the grand scheme of things, at least functionally, right? Like if you look Patrick was 5.3 million expires after this season, they gained 5.3 million in cap savings with buyouts expiring for both, I believe Scott darling and Keith yandle, right? I think it's going to be tough to do still. I imagine the moment they gave Spencer and I, the extension they did. They basically were like, we have to trade. So give a Broadsky, no matter the price, this off season, right? I know there's a lot of loops to jump through to facilitate that. But you're not going to be paying 14.5 million through golden in position. That's just not going to happen, right? And so after they pay bobrovsky signing bonus, this is off season. I believe he's only old like $17 billion in real cash, over his final three seasons, which is not nothing, but much more manageable. It's going to cost them a lot to get out from that, but I think there's going to be motivation to do so. And so the point I'm trying to make here is I'm still actually encouraged because of what Matt you could chuck has looked like in a Panthers uniform and what he's shown so far. I still think in the grand scheme of things, it was the right business decision and write hockey move. Now, unfortunately, there were always going to take a bit of a step back this year. You look at how close to the cap they are, right? There's been nights where they have injuries. They just can't dress a full lineup. They have no wiggle room whatsoever. They basically need everyone to be healthy at all times. And as soon as someone drops off, all of a sudden, the deaf chart is completely in shambles. And so I think that's going to remedy itself a bit over time moving into the future. And so I'm still encouraged by them, but it's clearly disappointing that they're just not nearly as fun as they were last season. Yeah. I think you hit the nail on the head with the transition year.

"Sutter thought his team played better last night, the outcome basically the same. They've got the New Jersey Devils tonight. I feel like because of everything that tree loving did, we just talked about Doug Armstrong and the St. Louis blues and what he might do. I mean, tree pulled a rabbit out of his hat, right? I mean, he turned an ugly situation with goudreau and kachak into an pretty good situation in bringing in the pieces that he did. Is it fair to expect that this group from a chemistry perspective rate just needs more time, you know? 15 to 20 games. They played ten plus. Yes, I think that is fair. A, B, they don't have a choice. Yeah. But the hope they find some chemistry. So last year to this year, that's a seismic change in Calgary, right? Like you lose, you lose the energy skill grit, abrasiveness, production of Matthew kachak, and you'll lose good draws, productivity. You lose two thirds of one of the best lines in the league. Like, how are you going to replace that out of the gate? You're not. Hubert is not only moving to a new city, is moving to a new conference. He's never seen any of these players before. It's hard. Yeah. It's hard to hit the ground running. It's different if he was one player on that top line. He could maybe fit in. But it's all blown up. Cadbury is new. Lindholm doesn't have his wingers. The team is completely different. They're goaltending just been okay, but I did find it interesting that, you know, there are times Daryl grinds those guys and now he's given them a little pat on the backside and we're okay. We played better here and it is a surprise, a little bit, but when you dig just a smidge deeper, you're like, well, of course, there's going to be some growing pains on this. There just has to be. Losing Washington to an injury depleted, Washington capital Steve. I think the caps drakes want to see just, I'm going to look it up here because I think I've got it, but I think they've got $35 million on IR. Close to 40, I think. It's between 35 and 40. I had 35, but that was before the last injury. It's remarkable, they have no players. I guess enough, they scored four power play goals on 5 shots. So that speaks to the oilers, bad penalty kill, obviously, and perhaps discipline too. Well, okay, so I'm in LA and I'm going to do the kings in Minnesota tonight. So the kings have or rather Minnesota has given up power play goal and four out of their last 5 games, right? Not very good stuff. The other game, they didn't take a penalty. They can't kill a penalty to save themselves right now. The oilers are in the same in the same boat. And I guess I tell that thing about Minnesota's penalty killing about the one game that they didn't give up a penalty.

"All right, boys. Game time. Awesome stuff, man. Especially if you are like me, you like doing stuff last second, nothing better than having good seats for either face value or cheapy. You can't beat it. All right, a couple of milestones this week boys. We've been talking about all these points and goals being scored. That means guys are hitting some big milestones and Tuesday, last Tuesday in Seattle. Buddy, Johnny goudreau. He hit 100 points for the first time in his career when he assisted on a Matthew cachaco. Couldn't have come at a better time for goodwill. He's going to be a UFA this summer coming off a 6 year 45, $40.5 million a Dale is going to be probably getting to what $3 million raise. Either way, he's up to a 105 points in 75 games played. He's the first player taken in the fourth round to later to hit 100 points in the season since Daniel alfredson way back in 2005, 2006. And then Friday in front of his home crowd up, but he asked the Matthews assistant on Michael bunting's 21st of the year to hit triple digits for the first time in his career. It's crazy dude. I couldn't believe this. He's the only third Toronto maple leaf ever to hit 100 points in a season. Yeah, I couldn't believe it. Doug Gilmore and Daryl sutland each did it twice. Let's see Matthews did it in 69 games, which is the third fastest ever. He's also just the third American to hit 100 points in 69 or fewer games, pat law fontaine did it, as did Kevin Stevens. And his pod and crime Mitch minor is just 6 games. I'm sorry, 6 points from a hundred points. He's got 6 games to get there. We'll go to you for the weekly stroke off. I'm impressed. I'm impressed with what he's done all season long. I said he's the greatest of all time. We came out with t-shirts. Like what else is there to say? I'm really, really proud of this kid. He's going to keep fucking how many he's going to bring it to playoffs. All you doubters out there are just a bunch of fucking clowns. He's going to take a massive shit and all your doubt in the first round of playoffs and he's in a march those boys all the way to the final. So I'm proud of Matthews as far as those are both my teams. So I got to do the double double barrel stroke off. And Johnny contract year, man. I mean, it was just fucking trying to rag on you guys, but props where it's due. 105 points still running. And I mean, talk about getting this payday, him and his linemate are both going to get their fucking payday. Matthew kachak, who's probably going to be close behind him hitting a hundred points as well. So just two unreal first lines that have been humming all year long and two of the best first lines in all hockey. And as far as bunting's concerned, I still think he's in the run for the Calder. I think he's only got four power play points all year, so as far as even strength points points as a rookie and people say he's playing with marner and Matthews, doesn't fucking matter. I think he's second. What do you want to bet he's not in the final three? I think he's going to be in the final three. Okay, what do you want to bet? Okay, what are my odds? None. Even money? You've been calling this guy fucking call to trophy winners. I'll bet you I'll bet you 200 bucks. Is that a lot of money? Is that embarrassing? I know. Does that get me out of bed in the morning mostly? No, but for you, I'll do it. 500 bucks. How about 505 hundred bucks? Boom. It's gonna be in the top three. Thank you very much. There we go. Fuck. Come on, voters. What do you do with the guy? It's like happy Gilmore and third grade when he's like, telling the kids, don't ever wish you have to go to high school. Or Billy Madison, excuse me. He's not up in the top three. By the way, biz. I think you're going strictly on age, and I think that if you watch any leafs games, you'd see he just, he does way more things than just get points and score goals. And he's just all around a very good hockey player and can help you score 5 on 5, which is one of the hardest things to do in the National Hockey League. He doesn't go look at all the inflated power play numbers on points for all those other guys. I'm not saying he's going to win it. I think Marie cider is probably going to end up taking it down, but I think if you don't consider him the top three, you're a goon who doesn't watch the leafs play you're too busy sucking off your fucking oilers. You have to be crazy in my mind to believe if you were to put bunting next to Tanner, you know, that you'd have bunting in the final three over him. I think the way that one thing is a great player, but playing with those two guys and then looking at Tanner genome and the entire overall game, the fighting, the goals. Yeah, that's fine. But he also had one point in his first 12 or 13 games of the season and unfortunately I'm going to fucking evaluate the entirety of the season of the full body of work. Do I think what Janelle is done in the last 55 to 60 games has been incredible? Absolutely. But he hasn't put up the numbers for a bigger sample size in which he's done. Do I think that I think Janelle probably deserves to be in the top three to be quite Frank, I'd probably have him in there over Raymond. And now all of you fucking red wings fans are gonna be all over me for the next week..

"Even his clips of the year before and the SH on Sweden where he was defensive in the year. He was killing guys. People say he's dirty over there, just lighting everyone up. 6 four two O 7 is his size wedding. There's no way he's two O 7, but yeah, so he's tall, at least. I think he's heavier. I'll have here. That could be his draft number, you know? Well, you boys teams had quite the battle Saturday date and the latest battle of Alberta, Calgary blew out Edmonton 9 to 5. Unreal game, and this is highly entertaining game. We had it all, all kinds of scoring, all kinds of Johnny goudreau all over the place. 5 assists. Man, this guy is going to get absolutely paid this summer. 90 points for the second time in his career. I know everyone's picking on the Edmonton goaltending, but they did team D was just absolutely porous. I know the goalies weren't great, but they were hung out to dry quite a bit in this game. The flames now lead the oilers by 11 points in the division. Even the Edmonton social media had enough. They tweeted out the game and they just said, Google it. Literally just did Google it because they're so fucking done with like getting beat up by Calgary. Leon had a hat trick in the ended up a minus four. That's the first time that's happened since 1983. A little weird statistical anomaly. But I don't know, man, you might have to get that passion of the Christ cross ready to go to the hearing shop. There was a span in December and January, I think the oilers lost 13 of 15 games. If not more, that was the lowest moment of the season for me. I planned my entire Saturday around the game because it's a late start. So I wanted to get all this stuff done. I knew I was going to be up late watching it. And while having a blast watching, at least through halfway of the game, when it was 6 to 5 Calgary with like 13 minutes left in the second period, I was so embarrassed and disgusted by the end of it. The oilers, the oilers, team defense, while being amazingly improved, 5 on 5 under woodcroft is still so bad that I actually tweeted pull cost and then I think I might no, I didn't tweet pull Smith put costing him back in. It didn't even matter. Costco didn't was on the bench after he got pulled. He looked like he just took a cross country road trip with Snoop Dogg and Willie Nelson in the car. He was like, what just happened? Dude, they had the oilers got outscored 9 to two. 5 one 5. Yeah. I mean, it's like, every time they play Calgary, I'm like, oh, they got it. If they get this one, the way they've been playing, they're playing great. Now they have, they have Arizona. Well, last night, as you're listening, tonight, as we record, they better come up and show the look like the penguins did against the wings because that game was so pathetic and just shows how they are not even on the same planet as the Calgary flames. As an overall team, yeah, power play wise, they're probably better than them. Other than that, it's like, what is going on? It's just there's no, there's no respect to the game of defense from the entire team. Like nurses had a couple tough games. Duncan Keith, you know, he's looking a little bit older. CC gets shit on by the fans. He didn't play great. Nobody played great shit on wherever he goes. He's like a jacket. Dude, those goals. There wasn't even anyone like near the goal scorers. The guerrilla says the assistant tight turn and then fed shillington. That was such a sick play. Control, I mentioned, I wish there was 5 MVP candidates this year. Shifting in no particular order, gaudreau, macar, yossi, Matthews. Either one of those Edmonton Oilers guys aren't on my ballot for MVP. And they are these incredible world class talents, they could probably play better team defense, but the whole team as a whole. That's honorable. Your team is a group, just has no time and no effort to try to play defense in their own zone. It's wild to watch, and that game was a low moment because if they were to somehow play Calgary, they would get fucking trounced in the play. That's an honorable moment for you. I'm going to applaud that for you saying that you don't have either of your Euler's. All right, want to fucking help out here? The only chance I have, the only chance I have is that LA stays in the second or third spot in the Pacific. The oilers get the other spot specific, they can beat LA and then maybe Calgary gets like Dallas or Vegas. It's a tough or it's just a grind of a series to where it wears them down a little bit. Now, so they weren't winning that game the minute Milan lucic walked in with that. I think he just whacked somebody from the Donnie brasco said no, he sold a used car and then he came over to the rink. He saw, he sold his truck with his razor Ramon. That's all right. When you see a guy walking like that, like with that jacket on with that swag. Did he run somebody over for that bad motherfucker? So wet, you kind of touched on it. Calgary's ability to score 5 on 5 is it's just amazing. They play great team defense. We mentioned their goaltending. I actually feel like an idiot here because I didn't even mention mitchy marner when we were talking about the lease, but most points in the last 30 team games. Mitch marner leads away with 53, but right underneath that, Johnny goudreau and Matthew kachak tied at 47. That top line overall full body of work might be the best line in the NHL all season long. I think that's a very fair statement. They've been able to stay healthy. You mentioned Johnny gaudreau get in the bag. Matthew chuck is also going to get the bag. It's a shame that they're not going to be able to probably keep both these guys. When's his deal up? One more year? No, he's up, dude. He signed a three year chucks up? Yeah, he's up he signed it. He signed a three year deal where it went 5 million 7 1 million 9 million. So in the last year, which is this year where he's making 9, his qualifying offer, he's basically at 9 and a half already. If he's going to stop. The control is going to be a flyer. So it's going to be difficult to keep both those guys. But the reason that, you know, maybe three, four weeks ago, I was hesitant to throw Johnny gaudreau in the mix was all these other guys were having these insane seasons. Well, 90 points you mentioned, 70 of which at even strength. That's first in the National Hockey League for Johnny gaudreau. And 90% of his points are primary. So either the goal or primary assists assists in that ranks 12 in the National Hockey League. So he's driving the bus on the top line the league. They're able to punish teams 5 on 5, which we all know is the hardest way to score now, especially with the way an all teams play team defense. So just overall, man, Johnny gaudreau needs serious consideration for MVP and that has happened probably more so in the last, as I mentioned, three to four weeks, especially in the last 30 games, being second only to mitchy marner with 47 points in that period of time. So have you ever heard of like a more quiet 6 in the league and scoring than construct this year? No. I didn't even know it was going that well. Now granted, I should have with that line, but what a season. What a team. What am I going to say right now? I just have to hope that they lose first round. And that we get in and we lose first round. I don't see how we're going to win. Guys, if I could just jump in real quick, I tweeted out that red wings question and there's an overwhelming favorite in its Igor Larry onoff who was the Russian coach this past season. And then right after that, it's Nick lindstrom and then Joel glenville. Guys, Nicholas Trump doesn't want to hang out behind the bench. There's not a chicken Dick's chance after playing the career that he had. No. But Igor lariana that's interesting because it's like coupe like you guys said it's like kind of off the map there. And that's how he wants him playing. You know I've been respected. And he obviously has an affinity for Russians as well. Former teammate. That's an intriguing name..

"That's what makes it so difficult though, because it's not the player's fault, sometimes that the line around them, you know, might be considered that shutdown line and then they don't get their chance to show it. But the fact that when home is, you know, he's part of the engine of that top line. And he's doing all the right things on both ends of the ice. He should be right there in the conversation. He definitely should be overlooked. But it sucks for him that it's happening this year against bergeron's elite season. Yeah, yeah, that line is up 50 to 18 at 5.5 so far this season. They've just been completely steamrolling everyone. And yeah, it is sometimes tough, especially I mean, I guess you could make the same case with bergeron, although they've split password heck up for a large stretch here from him and Marshawn, but generally we kind of lump these trios together and sometimes that can take some of the individual shine off of them and then lindholm came in his case. I think certainly good girls putting up all the points and it feels like he should be a heart consideration or being a finalist, Matthew kachak is being Matthew katak. He's also similarly got tremendous defensive impact. I believe the season and does the highlight real flashy play shooting through the legs and all that. And so he has to be the best at that. Highest rate of pucks between the legs per 60, Matthew cache. I don't see anyone else trying it as often and pulling it off as often, even if he doesn't score. He still getting the plays off. The one that he did against Colorado where he hit the crossbar I believe that in their last game was so impressive to me because of the distance it came from. Like it felt like he shot it from significantly further out than you typically see it around the gold mouth or around the crease, a guy kind of just tries to get some leverage and surprise the goalie a little bit..

"Way to bring it back, yeah. So what do you get, ching ching, 5 grand for it? Yeah, 5 grand, which, whatever. I mean, I don't know if he's ever uncomfortable before them. But yeah, 5 grand for water bottle. It sounds like it happens a lot off camera from what you guys just said like, I guess, you know, I think they felt bad for the kid because I think he got dummy into the law right before that. So he had a bit of a tough shift. And then he got pigeon tossed by Jamie Ben, the anti squirter squirter. All right, let you handle that joke this time. Gary bettman uphold that Brad marchand's 6 game suspension. He can appeal to an independent arbitrator if he wants. I kind of hope he does just to be my shine. For my guy, Frank Sarah valley, when masha and testified, he said that Jerry said to him, how about that fucking save? And honestly, I would have thought it would have been something more that would have set my shine off, especially when you talk about his quote back from when he gave shit to Panera and he's like, if that's going to set a guy off, then this leads the softest league in the world. So it's like, I would have thought Jerry said something much more harsh than that's a set my shonda off. So it's kind of, you know, come to contradict himself. I love mashi, but which makes it even more funny that he punched him in the face and it should have been a two minute minor. It's just like this is fucking awesome. Everybody went, oh, we put the goalie. It's like big fucking deal. What crew did to bunting do? No one said, oh, it should be suspended for that. It's the NHL do it. People get fucking punched in the face. I mean, he's a fucking character. I kind of want to get him on the pod now too. Maybe they shouldn't trade for flour. Well, we'll talk and brew and see how we'll finish that up in a second before we get to our buddy fairway falls, but interesting quote from Bruce Cassidy visit came out, I think last night, he called out the team being too nice. I know the fans have been shit on them for basically being soft. I mean, we'll use the brewing talking here. He said, we have a lot of nice guys on our team. We need to be more like bricks. You know, you know, I said a week ago, I said they need to add some toughness. It's embarrassing. Especially for like a bruins team that has always been like, that's been their MO, to me, that's the biggest difference right now. The bruins are a type of team where they get good goaltending and they're gonna beat you three, two, because they play smart hockey and they were disciplined and if they make a mistake and they take a penalty, they're penalty comes up big because they got that defense with who's going to block the shot. And they ain't gonna fucking run you up and down the ice like Florida does or like Toronto does, right? They play a certain style and they fucking lost their way. And we've seen that Sean hit for mom, Watson, and nobody did nothing. Like nobody, you know what I mean? Like nobody. It's a fucking job. It's like opinion for bruins hockey. Yes, it's a joke. I was a fan that would be my only complaint right now is start mucking it up a little bit more. Trent Frederick, he was kind of in and out of the lineup at the start of the season, is he been more consistent lately? Yeah, they have him on the third line. And I'm not sure if it's spinny. He's been up and down, but he's, yeah, he's been having consistent role in the team. He's never going to be a sniper, but he's been on the third line lately. And yeah, he's the guy that I think they might accept. I think the Brussels is to be more of that guy. And you guys are going to be like, oh, they fucking shut the fuck up about this bunting guy. Drag your team into the fight. Yeah. Drag the emotion out of them through the dog days of the season, like the Matthew kachaks, the Cory parries, the patty maroons, you know? Like the other night I talked about a regular season game, first game back, Florida hasn't played in two fucking weeks. All it fucking took was one of their guys getting bumped from behind to be like, this is gonna be a full fledged fucking gladiator match. More of that. That's their fucking bruins MO. So I'll leave it at that. I settled a couple of weeks ago. I wasn't fucking kidding, and then there you go, the head coach is now saying it, so I'll pat myself on the back for that one. Yeah, it shouldn't all fall in moshi to mix it up. But anyways, time to bring on folds, we do want to let you know that this interview is brought to you by mattress firm. America has a problem. Everyone is exhausted and out of it because they're not sleeping in a bed that's right for them..
