Who Will Pick Kyle Pitts in Thursday's NFL Draft?

"All right. Let's have fun here with. Kyle pits blank will select kyle pits right. I think it's the falcons. I mean friscos. Been talking about this for some time. He doesn't think that the falcons are gonna take a quarterback he thinks arthur blank is all in on on matt ryan for another year to have a new coach and the new general manager. And here's the thing like if you trade down four. And i suspect it'll be teams interested in trading up to four to get whether it's trae lance macaroni justin fields. If you're the falcons if you move down if you move down you're not getting cockpits. That's just the end the conversation because either the bengals. The dolphins entertainment five or six and presumably. You're not trading with those teams already have quarterbacks. So that's the math you're doing and if you're not getting likely to march as we saw a report on monday for peter king that maybe julio jones could be moved with which seems crazy what they need a cap space Could you turn down for. Cornerback if the falcons you could but again what gives you more value in terms of making that football team better. I think it's how pet. So if i'm the falcons and i'm not taking justin feels matteo's trae lands i'm sampling. Taking cup pits. Janssen the blank blank. We'll take pets. I think it's it's atlanta. But i also be surprised if the team traded up with the falcons maybe even take pits like ryan saying you know the train up to the quarterback but you know teams fall in love your dallas. You know thousand the four but you know if a team really loves him that much and it's hard not to love that much than you could see. Maybe a team being overly aggressive. I think it was on On the nfl network this morning on good morning football there was a segment that they do with the giants traded up. You know. I don't know who is doing the job. Esau just a screen grab of it on twitter but the giants gave their first or second ebony ingram and something else to move up to four to get pits and it was you know something that on paper make some sense but you know. Obviously something is not likely to happen but still i would say it's four is where he goes. But the falcons do make some sense especially they decided we want from me jonesing. Another playmaker

"I mean it's such a weird time to do comedy because now suddenly has to pay for their sins of what they said in the past and people don't understand what comedy is because comedy is the only way to create is by making mistakes on stage in it's also strange like with like social media or something like that where it's like you're talking to a larger audience and lexa. Who's in your room right. So if you're the seller you don't care about the person walk into go the bathroom right. There are half a joke and get mad like you're not here right so i know you're gonna go upstairs and tell everybody how awful the thing i heard like. I can't worry about you because you're not here so then do you worry about like the people who follow you on social media or do you worry about everyone else who who has access to it right now. Like what responsibility there and it's like well you don't wanna be mediocre and have be minus. Act that everyone can get into. Yeah i also when people just assume what you mean and yeah. Kobe thing might've kobe who didn't give a shit about this guy. Tweeting that i thought was one of my biggest hits amid entire city. Angry at me about a guy. Don't even care about god who's great. We're so crazy. All you gotta do is like attacked. Does i do the same thing. With beta kuenssberg show. And then you're like all you people fucking pretending to mourn you don't even know a thing about it. You're playing a role. You saw the fucking documentary you have. You are so crazy. I mean i could never. I did a joke. I never posted my mitch. I deleted twitter to. It's more than i do too. I never posted my material. And so i posted this joke that i did. You know the comedy cellar show. Yeah so one of them was. The topics was mike pence and says well. I can talk about my pen so i wrote this. It was such a. it's such a silly joke. Whatever you're gonna say. I don't stay in by this. Was somebody said passing fucking relax. No but i. I wrote this joke. You had two days to right right so i got on stage. I still think it's funny. Where i said mike pence you obviously start with facts right. Mike pence hates gay people. That's a fact. It's now i have to put this explaining joke right now. I have to push to such an extreme example to make humor of it. So i said he had his way. He put us in prison. And let me just say this. If i was at home and the gover- knocks on my door. And they said we're taking a gate prison. I'd say sign me up. You know we'd be reenacting the musical scenes from chicago. Do your worst anyways. What i like. You want me to come our outcome. Antle come substitute anyways. The point i'm making is. Mike pence's i don't like him and i'm full of fear of him. Well post that joke on twitter and a queer blogger got wind of it doesn't know me posted it and then said matteo lane is dangerous dangerous because it means anything you the reader puts on it right and then some matteo lane once game to go to prison then my twitter feed flooded with who weren't even at the show no me so they're coming to only from someone telling him. Hey you guys wanna be about something this exactly right. Why would you care if they're getting me. Articles of gay men who died in prison. And what's happening in uganda. And this and that and and i thought well i mean it's so how'd you how'd you well. I was sitting with. Bother drag queens. My best friend. And bob is. Bob has fought many a time on twitter and said many controversial things and he has one point five million dollars so he's used to getting shit. I'm just putting that. So people understand the context. I had sixty thousand dollars. Yes one point five million and he. I was really upset. I never responded. And i was really upset and i thought what do i do and i immediately had that feeling of. Do i have to apologize. And bob looked and said let me. Just get this straight. Are you saying to me. The you just never wanna be offensive for the rest of your life and i said well. No he goes okay. Then don't say anything. And i thought sure. Now bob is stronger than i am and i thought i have a choice whether or not i want to allow myself to be hurt. Gonna open my phone and put myself through pain or not so. I deleted twitter road done. Yeah oh that's deluded. Thought you know what i never looked back. And maybe i'm weak. Maybe i couldn't handle it got it got it got full of got corrupted and i think too i kind of liken it to world of warcraft. Win when you're playing world of warcraft. No pun intended. You're a troll right or whatever but you are you are wizard and you are in a guild and you are fighting and it is real to you. The second that laptop closes. You're back in the real world so that's twitter when you're in twitter and you're staring at your phone. It's all very real to you Gloria steinem said you cannot have a conversation with someone without all of your senses being involved because otherwise you're not having a conversation with somebody and i believe her because you need to feel here all these things in order to understand the humanity of that person so i can converse with them otherwise. I'm just projecting. You're just like you just look at this little avatar. Like that thing is bad right. And you're like the thing has seven kids and then orphans right. But that's not part of that summary and so that was kind of when i decided i'm done via it was corrupted. It got corrupted. It was so negative where people were only at. I know this me like brain every jokes but like those negative jokes like trying to be positive. Let's lol laugh. But i mean like you mentioned like some great artists like well. I i heard he did this. And it's like jesus guys just look at look at the artists like about like something. Well it's like you know i would. I did this college show up here. I did this college show once and it was a queer college show and it just. It's always great. You go in this. Like kids can just really be themselves these days. It just great. You know i'm not buying area. I'm and i'm like god. I wish i had this kind of fucking confidence when i was eighteen. I this is. It's amazing to me. It's like crazy to want to stick out instead of like dear. God don't let me stick out. Don't let me wear a hat or anything. That will call attention to me. Or it's more in line of how you just felt right like you just wore. You liked to wear and didn't think twice about it so we're slowly getting to a place where you're queer nine nine non binary and you want to wear a kaftan that just as normal is someone like. I'm hoping that it gets their understand. People not understanding it but like grow up anyway so this. This kid raises his hand. You know we always we. College shows takes time and uh questions and this is probably eighteen and he raises his hand please. Yes what's your question I want to know what you think of rupaul. Think of rupaul. And so i said well sounds like you have a thought on rupaul. So when i go to answer such a good at it so why don't you tell me what you think then. I'll tell you whether i agree with you. Well i think rupaul has been terrible to the trans community and rupaul's should apologize for what terrible trans community. So i said to. I said to them i said look. I don't agree with everything. Rupaul says repels not perfect. But the whole reason that you and i could sit here and have this conversation openly because rupaul because in the late eighties early nineties when everyone was dying of aids a six foot two black man put on a fucking wig and challenged every buddies idea.

My friend points for awhile dated one work and it was creek. 'cause we saw her stuff is like it's not she is acting. I had a joke. Row is like dating a porn star. You think that it's going to be like these wild knights great sex truth. Is you just watch a lot of netflix's together while he goes and has wild sex with other people baths dating porn star. I love sex workers porn actors. And i think it's a lot of friends who do porn really. Yeah they're great the only real thing with him because he's the hang out the the comedy world in la straight porn by the way. I have zero underst-. I don't so it might be again a different world. There were fun and chill. They like comedy. The only weird thing was they were too casual about sex like we were just be on outside diner waiting to go in and buy. Yeah the squirting. Not everybody like that. But that's like a talking about jokes. I mean it's so normal to them like yeah i. This is my job so like like about jokes. Yeah but if somebody if lady with a husband and a daughter here's your saying like a good call back. I don oh suddenly. You're like a conservative from idaho. You like people are dying. Get weird about it even cursing alec kids are like families imposing on you lifestyle on your on your like i get your fucking raise normal. I guess i don't think of it that way. I came smoke cigarettes around like children. Who gives a shit. You gotta go to italy every smoke there like smoking while breastfeeding everyone smokes in italy. Love the mediterranean. Smoking your own. Oh my god. When i go i go to italy like once or twice a year. You're my mom's family. Well she's actually italian mexican but that's a whole other zoori my grandpa's mexican. My grandpa had five kids with my grandma's italian my mom's dead but he also had kids with another woman at the same time and then he named the kids the same names so he didn't confuse so my grandma divorced and so when you're married i was born. I had an italian background. But technically i'm Yeah my mom was fully have mexican and italian until she was like fifteen and my grandma's like nope and they never spoke to them again but we we did twenty-three me and it's like your first cousin and it's all these mexican ruins is a yeah and i'm like because maldonado which is our our name. We're from quantum. I'm like it'd be cool to like find a long lost family expansion. Italian they're closer. They're they're the same language. I was watching this thing that. I love languages by the way but i was watching this thing today. Where because the romance languages are so close to do these experiments to see everyone in the romance languages can understand things so they have a french guy and they have a brazilian and italian the mexican and they can only speak their native tongues so the french guy describes something in french and then they all three have to converse with each other in their languages in guess what. The french guys their own languages. Wow it's They're super related. I mean spanish and italian are like brother and sister. I mean they're just call more stats combing sti- guantanamo detainee is not far off to closer to spanish. And then also have this weird russian soundtrack it sounds like a star wars language of go to quality washed. I wish ed jet i. It's like whatever bid for tuna was being. So i i speak italian fluently. Spanish super proficient in french pretty proficient. But i can't understand portuguese. I can't hearing and it's like it. Sounds like i can't understand it at her. Cuban-spanish was like the cubans vanishes. I got a cab. Wants and the guy was like baba's daniel and i was like gladys westbound your but i learned for mexicans how to speak spanish so i speak like a mexican with an italian accent so i kind of marin luigi but he started talking i not understand them and i kept saying in spanish. I'm like i'm really sorry. But like i'm having a really difficult time understanding your accent like i was trying not to be rude. You might as well have been speaking mandarin ever do. No have you done no But when you go there. It's forty minutes from glasgow. Edinburgh governments alaska joey decimal and glasgow english. And i'm constantly saying like can you spell out the word you're saying by the drag cream there and he asked us guys like seniors like bagel. He goes what did you say. Bagel bagel bagels spell. It goes m. I c. h. Michael bagel is like all right man enough here. That's how i know when. I'm there like glasgow hundred because i could not understand you right. Sounds fine. it's weird too. Because like in italy they don't even just have accents. They have completely other languages so everyone in italy speaks two languages. They speak italian the national language. And then they're they're george. Yeah and they're not like accents even more separate than like someone from alabama so from glasgow different languages. So i'll go to like naples and i have to ask people speak italian to me because they're just speaking different. I can't understand any weird. So there's been has that to write with with baskin the castilian. What's one persona separating that way. But it's like in sicily because my family lives in sicily. I mean it's it is a. I have to speak italian to my uncle. And then my cousin he speaks sicilian back. My cousin translates from italian. Back to me how. We converse weird I tell you this is it's like it's like a mixture dramatic and and A little bit of heat whatever's in yiddish and whatever region. You're now my parents. My dad does and my his parents to speak hebrew. Be get better when i lived there. I could like a by now. He i if i was there. I can sort of understand having conversation than on mike. But if it's like someone looks at me at the supermarket bag kinda like know what that is but right now. I can't called mind what the word is right. No that's spanish and italian Teak took. I forget that's language is fascinating especially when they're like completely different symbols like arabic or or or A russian or or hebrew. This isn't even related type farsi. Have you heard before now is it. It's a really beautiful language. But it's it's wild. Watch these languages especially in like ancient Lake how these languages came from like if you listen to even greek. It's not related to any of the language in the world. Its own thing so you hear people be greek. It's just sounds ancient to you're like this is so cool. This is like a to describe not like an alien language like the fact that only this country in the world speaks a and its derivative of like the beginning. I know obviously languages. Changing the greek is not the same that it used to be But it's just cool to hear people speak these languages my phone. That's why he's icelandic are and he's like The thinnest of the norwegian. I forget. Look at icelandic as like. Oh yeah that's what we're supposed to speak. But then we kept evolving and they sort of stay stay. The same old english is dramatic in germ germ german dramatic whatever. The word is in origin. So it used to have more. German sounds and then it was influenced by france and so a lot of our vocabulary english language basically changed and quote unquote sophisticated from the french. And so now. We use french whereas parliament and all the other things like these are all french word so i think thirty percent of our vocab. That could be a wild number. I have no idea if there's a linguistic listening but that is so we're basically like german and french that's like our language suggests then a french into like cool. Luckily said that let's hill. Let's also saying that. Yeah well it's crazy and french of the romance. Languages is very different than even though it's eighty nine percents the same as italian phonetically. It's so different than spanish. Italian portuguese and romanian god in yiddish. Got really. I think the same german so you can pick out just knowing english you can pick out some meters words mining. Researchers characterized scenario as an acute stereotype threatening q. Although the interaction is brief it can heightened anxiety and deeply executive resources needed for optimal performance. Much is known about how individuals respond to acute stereotype threat in laboratory settings yet far less about how people contend with stereotype threat on an ongoing basis. Our work led by dr karen block at columbia university examines. How women in stem navigate careers infused with systemic stereotype threat. A chronic form of stereotype threat. That exists in work environments that a spouse meritocracy but implicitly signal racial or gender disparities are a result of group deficiencies not institutional factors while there are many cognitive and behavioral strategies. Women engaged mitigate threat the strategies they choose cluster into three distinct response patterns each patterns influenced by women's perception of threat and her goals for managing a threatened identity. There's no one right way to respond. Each pattern has associated costs and benefits in an era with no shortage of advice about how women should navigate mainly dominated careers too often. Women are treated as a monolith however we know that not only do women respond to systemic stereotype threat differently but their responses are influenced by both individual factors and the organizational context where they work thus for stamina ventures to be effective. We need less focus on fixing the woman and more on fixing systems

"Like a. And then i don't know what to do when day like the times that i've been single and date somebody they seem very domesticated to me and i'm just not used to that life. I'm just not used to it. So meaning they're ready to jump into a domesticated. Yeah and. I don't know how to adjust like the simplicity of love and dating and what that means is somebody instills a huge amount of anxiety and fear. And that is my fault. Because i've spent so many years being alone and not wanted today and not sabotage my career and not distract me for my career that i become career focus. I've dated the career. And i'm more focused on the career and i say the first person to knock the career out of my mind was my guy the one who lives in cross over the over the pond and a yeah. That was like the first time i felt love like michael. Cohen talks about in the godfather. If you've read the book when he met appalachia that he was hit by a thunderbolt. I mean i'm still struck by that. And i'm not been able to let go so i just. I'm kind of mass to tell you the truth like i just have a lot of anxiety but i don't know how to date like i don't know how to normal date. I don't go out and drink really. I mean i've had one last drink. I had was in november. So like i don't know how to i just don't know i don't. It's not. it's not that. There's a stereotypical gay life. That i have to live it. But there is a kind of sense of like you're gay new york and you do these things or go to these places or whatever. Yeah do you know have fun. Let's do molly go to a club. And i just don't do it. I would rather sit at a diner and talk about. Judy garland. Y'all because when you said i'll show him after. That break-up am i immediately thought we were going into so. Then i'm like out every night. Fucking ton of guys partying all the time but you know the complete opposite complete opposite. I'm a workaholic. As what i am. But if somebody dollar workaholics out there other guys who want to sit in a diner and talk about. Judy garland true. That's true now and if you are a hundred people. What is your instagram account. "Voice selena you know. It was all an arianna. Has that kind of voice. But she's still heavy in pop music and its assists. It's a different time. You know so. I don't know i don't really listen to a lot of young singers. You mentioned judy garland. I would love to get your take. As i'm assuming judy fan. And as a singer of renee in the movie. I thought the movie was pretty average but her acting was incredible and especially judy garland. At that time the late sixties the the weight loss. The drug problems the she did a grip. She had such a incredible balance that she had to do. Because judy is naturally camp. You see it on. The judy garland show and she didn't say show. Judy garland would spell. Show s. h e u. s shah. Like this over the top exaggerated woman that being said i think is an acting job. She did a great job. The singing i appreciate that. She did the singing after a few songs i was allowed to. I was like okay mutates. Not judy's voice. Get into. But i think the mistake. They made his judy. Garland's voice is just so iconic jus-. Oh iconic rene singing it. I wish that they dubbed judy's voisin because you're waiting for that like heavy vibrato the shah. You just didn't get it. It was auto tuned like makes the voice sound colder than it is thought it was. I thought it was a good movie. I think i think she did a phenomenal job at the acting. I was laughing really hard. Because i saw it in chelsea much of queens and old people in the theater and there's a scene were did you guys see the movie. Yeah okay so. That was a seamer. Judy on the phone with spoiler. There's a scene where judy dies. She's a senior. She's on the phone with lorna her daughter which i've always made jokes but everyone has for. Judy says i love you. And then laura. I didn't respond and then when learning didn't respond well one of the gays in the back of theater screams. We picked lies anyways as a movie. happen wrote growing. But i'm i'm sort of fascinated by judy garland but even more fascinated by liza. Minnelli who do a perfect impression of elisa is like so hauntingly like her mother. When you watch a young lives in manelli you let us watch videos of judy garland and then put watch a video of liza singing. It is haunting how much she's like her mother. It makes a lotta sense that she was the. Lauren has just as much judy's daughter lives about you. Know you're you look like your daughter. So that's an interesting relationship. I don't want to treat you like a clown but if if the inspiration strikes should strike before we finish and you wanna do the liza. I would be thrilled sir. This is my favorite made up lies a quote and it helps because i look like liza. I'll never forget the first thing that my mother said to me. She said liza call an ambulance. We have we have reached back to liza with a z numerous times during on this year. No just me and my partner because we have it on dvd. and it's fucking perfect. Oh it's great. It's right wild as hell like the filthy dirty fosse choreography. The wild. it's it's it's it's it's a thing of beauty lying to me. Because her father was vincent minnelli and and mother was. Judy garland. So it's all good creative. Dna and she really seemed kind of like a vessel for other creatives to inject into her by fosse teaching her how to dance and you know her father giving her look and it was like she was a little bit of this. Like frankenstein. monster of what people around her maid because she was so able to step up to play. I mean she could sing so well she could dance. A welsh axo well and then. She obviously took a lot from her mother. She's a really interesting person. Liza minelli i mean. I'm more of i like barbra streisand just as a singer better. But i'm far more interested in liza because it's like even though she's an early hundreds she's still acts like she's like the young kid. No you watch on interviews and like a couple years ago. On larry king which those two together. But he was like. Oh you're touring she's like i'm a hoofer address. Yes my momma. Said i called. Sammy davis junior uncle. Grow your like seventy two twelve anymore. you know. but she's she lives in that fantasy. And i i kind of. It's even though it's really unhealthy. I enjoy being in that fantasy weather. I now forgetting a her husband is no longer with us right. David geffen through to a year and a half and then he no longer with us he died. I was just wondering if we could get him on the show. But i guess i'm sure as agent would still take your call yeah mediums. Yes matteo what's happening in your love life dating realm at the moment if anything well everything and nothing does that make sense. I think corentin has been a strange time because when we first quarantined all of a sudden we were just making the amount of promises i made to people across the world Yeah i would say i am. I'm desperately in love with somebody and we can't get to each other. That's what i would say. I'm sort of like figuring it out..

I heard she and hymns version of i'll be home for christmas and fully cried. Just didn't get welled up cried like full heaving sobs. Yeah we've been. We've been playing a lot of christmas music in the house on vinyl and nearly all of it is extremely sad and it's hitting me. There's a rough year. I'm not going home and it does makes me sad. Said we're i mean we're all just crushingly depressed. But i visit different tenor in this household because i think we're hiding or running from the sadness we're going the other direction where maya is playing and ways not playing singing. You know all right at what their lives will will look and feel like after the thing ends there. The boy who was just eliminated this week in. Ben is on instagram and Ben v smith ben v. e. smith And it's his. Instagram story is over and over again to him. Doing heavy squats interspersed with him Talking into the phone. I will say we'll see we'll see what we'll see they all do frailty little i know of the bachelorette universe. Is this the same season that that someone that she had to replace the bachelorette she fell in love. At first i walked out of a limo and come home with me. We're finished here yet. So somebody else had to step in. Yeah it's a it's a real good one that's it that's it any. I mean this is such old news by the time comes out. But i hot takes on the tom cruise audio. I love it. I love it on are attracted to him. I think it's great. I think it's great you know. Somebody's got to start taking this shit seriously. It was refreshing to hear. Somebody fucking speak the truth forcefully. We're going to ask do what you gotta do. He'll wear a mask for reaction. I do talking. Hey tom cruise with okay. Such a passion. I mean mostly just be you know for the obvious reasons that he is the figurehead of the criminal organization. That destroys families. Central that You know has absolutely no moral authority for me. So yes the. The joke of like arguing about this on twitter is that there's some kind of Implication that if you're shitting on tom cruise that you disagree that everybody should be masked distance which i'm starting from. That's my foundation. And if you disagree with that. I have no. I don't even have time to engage with you. But i just i want that message from a different messenger i It was just for me. The strangest most righteous jerry. Maguire monologue and. It's like when he screams. I'm on the phone with insurance companies like full. I live in a van down by the river. I imagine working at an insurance company and this bucket psychopath calls you just scream about mission. "Hi this Matteo bestow and today I want to encourage you to take a very intimate relationship. With the perfect companion on your meditation path. And that companion your breath. The breath. It is utterly vital to our very existence right this breath in. An out. That we take about twenty thousand times a day, right? It's no wonder that spiritual traditions throughout the world encourage us to harness unawareness of our breath. To practice mindfulness of the breath or even used different breathing patterns like extending our inhalation or. Standing our excavation or even controlled breath holding as methods of meditation. Of course, we know that there are these super ventilating practices like that like Wim Hof is popularizing these days. Or even more relaxing techniques that we find in methods like Bhutto. But in any case, there many methods of controlling the breath just like like we've practiced here on the podcast before the simple breathing technique of inhaling through the nose for four count than holding the breath for six. And then exhaling for an eight count. These things can have measurable effects on our relaxation response right. So. What I just said we just inhale for four hold for six and exhale for eight. So, let's actually let's do that right now here on the podcast, right we're just going to be here we're going GonNa do it three times and I wanna see let's see what the effect is on us go. Right, so maybe don't do this if you're driving a car. But otherwise just wherever you are right now wherever you find yourself if you're seated. Or. If you're walking or if you're lying down, it doesn't really matter. Let's just become aware for a moment of our body. How.

"On today's meditate episode, , our focus is going to be on our posture how we arrange our body so that we can comfortably meditate. . The two most important aspects for settling into a formal meditation practice are stillness and comfort. . A motionless body is a conducive container like the most conducive container for meditation. . But allowing the body to be absolutely still can be a challenge for many of us and isn't always comfortable for sure. . Still if we arrange our body in the most comfortable position for us either seated or lying down. . Once, , we find that position. . We can just let our body be without fussing adjusting is just absolute stillness. . And with a little effort and perseverance, , we can find comfort and ease in that posture. . We cultivate stillness in. . The. . Body in meditation. . Because when we moved the body, , it tends to stir up thoughts and thinking which may lead to this tract mine, , and while we're not trying to block thoughts while meditating, , we are trying to minimize distraction. . We have all kinds of experiences mental and physical in meditation and pain will sometimes arise in the body. . And while we're not looking to have discomfort or pain when we meditate oftentimes, , pain provides the context for us to learn about our reactions and ourselves I'll discuss this a little more just just a little bit later. . One of the most common meditation techniques in the Buddhist tradition. . is known as body scanning. . It was one of the very first methods I win which I was introduced to meditation. . Body scanning that is through scanning, the , body gathered our attention, , which is so often scattered outwardly chasing after sights or sounds or scrolling on our screens or our thoughts we gather that and we redirect that attention. . We collect our attention, , bring our mind into our body, , and then slowly scan the body to feel the physical tack thousand stations that are happening right here right now. . This technique tends to release the body from tension and the mind from stress, , and for this reason, , it's often a preliminary to a person's meditation practice. . But body scanning can also be a complete practice by itself and. . The nuns and Burma and Thailand, , and elsewhere who have used this this method as their principal meditation practice for their entire lives. . The method or technique of body scanning is actually quite simple. . We place our attention for few moments. . On different locations on the body. . So, , in where we place it is the size of it is sometimes they say it's about the size of the babies handprint right so so quite small location on the body, , and then we feel whatever tactile sensation is present. . Tingling numbness maybe warmth coolness itchiness hardness, , or softness. . then. . We move our attention to another location. . Continuing like this in a set pattern over the entire body. . And what we do is we observe the sensation in a raw and direct manner. . We aren't thinking about the sensations or questioning what we're feeling. . We don't have to even name or label the sensation were simply witnessing or observing sensation in a very open. . And relaxed manner. . At, , the same time as as we're observing that the tactile sensation. . Were also noticing how they change how those sensations change, , how they shift, , move, , arise, , and then dissipate. . and Ask for observing them. . We may notice unaccompanied sense of a like or dislike. . Like right some sensations may be pleasant others may not be so pleasant some sensations may be neutral whatever the case is. . We just observe each tactile sensation. . and. If . there's an accompanying pleasant unpleasant neutral feeling we observe that too. . So we're not trying to push away sensation or trying to change it. . But. . We don't have to ask ourselves is this pleasant or not? ? We just observe in a very relaxed and attentive way. . So sensations change moment to moment our our day to day. . We don't have the same sensations all the time. . Perhaps we feel our foot throbbing one moment and then served transitions into a soothing feeling. . Even even the throbbing feeling itself. . Is an example of change. . So so the idea is, , can we watch this process of change happening?

About the show John Gene rich percents after words. podcast afterwards podcast and this podcast that I already briefly talked about on the radio show and I told you I was GonNa tell you this on our podcast so I WANNA ask you guys to open your instagram accounts and go to love PUP foundation. Go tell you the story of this dog. because it's not about the dogs about the person to go to look up on Dacian I. Think it's the third post behind. There's a says love pop day than his. Picture me. Then there's a woman standing next to a car that's open right and if you click on Instagram TV and you fast forward because she tells a story, I'm going to tell you the story she's telling but she tells it like softly she doesn't get very graphic she cries tone story. if you go see the dog in the backseat of the car. It's a beautiful dog that dog's Matteo. Here's the story of Matteo Mattel you and it's it's a kind of a graphic story. Matteo saved the day, but this is the story. This happened in Tucson. The girl in the in the video is amy she works with a dog rescue. In Tucson that you heard I've been working together for years and years and years. She reached out the legs it can you help me with this dog I don't have room and it's like a healer mix great dog Matteo Great Dog. Get this. There's a woman they moved to south from Columbia. She has brain cancer. And she's been fighting and she doesn't have that much time to live. Right she is chemo and she has. Three dogs and I guess she's got like ten cats, lots of cats and she lives in a trailer park. A couple of nights ago. Somebody broke three guys broke in her trailer park. beat the Hell Outta no and raped her. She's in her sixties. Oh. My God that's horrible. Old. She's got no hair nothing. They stole her chemo meds is what they want it. Oh my guy you have to be kidding me. Beat, her in raped her. And Matteo Fontham off. Matteo fought them off to the beat the hell out of Matteo they beat him to a pulp. It's so sad. The rescues ever to find homes for all the cats and the two other dogs but Matteo was rehabbing some tales like now in our carries a miles or he's as Mia, he's assume Mattel is like. Like. Okay. She is now in hospice and she she can can talk she can do sign language. And in sign language he says I'm not going to let go until I know that Matteo is is place and save. Is. That brutal. Right. So this morning, we get a message during the show that she's actually like recovering like she's coming up she was in hospice because I believe this, this woman is dying of brain cancer and it's like this beating people steal her chemo meds is what's going to kill her because he's guys in Dallas I know. So A, we're trying to help the police, find the three guys at it be she opened bryce today and she's she's seen the posts of US talk about Matteo. She's listening to the show, and so she's like got this hope in her. So what find a home for Matteo but that was the story and I wanted to tell her story on the air. So and that's what's going on with. Matteo. Isn't that sad? Break I know what what would make what's rolling do Like jokes? Well, somebody's gotTa know she's they've been they had to be watching her to see that she would have drugs in their right. Heart. That knows of her at least it could be some who even works with chemotherapy patients that new she probably lived alone and. Vulnerable what chemotherapy drugs with it painkillers probably right because you wouldn't. necessarily. What the stuff that treats. It was all about trying to for US saving the dog and the Dog Rehab back and he's the most loving dog ever. But Matteo saved her life you took out those guys and barked was going crazy. Ripley's these guys. You know there's their blood DNA everywhere all over the trailer. So she's coming around I. Don't know how much time she has left from the brain cancer, but she's healing from the beating. So. If you go to love pop foundation, you can see I'm giving i. gave you the UN censored version story amy is saying and she was brutally beaten but that's what happened. She was sexually assaulted over no amusement. What the is wrong. These people. The thing. Sometimes those stories like when they become a news story, I feel like. People shouldn't tell the story softly because lake when something like that happens people it but I feel like you need to tell people about it more because that's when people go how who are these people? What are they doing like this needs to be stopped. It's more of a call to action. I mean oftentimes is am I. Imagine harder on the victims you know what I mean to your have their story they told you they don't want they don't want that. But at the same time, I just think people become so numb. To the soft words. When children are abused trafficked and stuff like that. They say the these code words that it's like, no, just say they were raped. That's what happened when when amy sell the story she's like and she was she was beaten, and then when I get the story, it's very detailed story I'm like wait a minute explain that and I get detail. Mike. That leaves an impact on me that makes me WANNA to go on the radio. Tell the story that makes me WanNa find guys did this. This makes me want to get more volved. When you say beaten I feel like they kicked up literally punched her and they took her meds. But. It was a lot more than that and that's what I think how I agree with you. Totally they need to give more details there anything we can do to help her. Is there any question to I? Don't know I don't? I don't know there's information the pup post about it in we'll matteo be okay we'll. He recover from. Mattel's zoo grave good in the video I. Mean it definitely sitting down vic looking away from the camera. Shallow camera show yeah. so you're looking looking for Matteo. That he's a great dog. He's probably nervous around people now to lake. Can Imagine a poor dog like that. Just trying to trust people at this point. Okay. So do we wrap up our afterwards podcast? Or do we have more to be any able to ask? That's it just let it sit there. The story of Matteo Okay that's afterwards..

"A lot of millions of users on it and it just playing a small part but it's it's one of the little pieces of information than combined with everything else is being done by all the research teams and companies. Can you know can become an arsenal to fight these managed? So collaboration is from the mental. That's one of the great things Li the. That that it makes it possible for you to exchange that we've somebody the other cyber world seconds. which is very hard to do when I was a university of many years ago. I'm sure that. attack. But just just on that point. It seems to me on occasions that there is great collaboration as great sharing information and expertise across borders, and that's driven often by academia certainly driven by the public sector. Do you worry or is it sometimes an issue with conversations that you have? Matteo. About how quick and willing to engage bigger stakeholders are national governments? Obviously, they have to they governed by self interest understandably to a degree I is that a worry that they're all sort of blockages on that road to being truly collaborative into sharing across across borders is a problem you encounter on a day-to-day basis. Day today basis by of course, you know the problem is when you get different entities together have different agendas. and. So, in a perfect world, you'd have open frameworks, which is something that is clearly the the weight collaborate were busy him by contributes. Their research that they are using the same approach scenario announced can. Some interesting efforts being involved in some discussion with government about creating this kind of frameworks. It just take a long time and then oftentimes the government changes and then the new gone comes in said no, no, no, no no, we're GONNA do a different bank. Afraid we're. Kind of the challenge is timing and so having a long term view. Of Things said, but you know there are certain things. At the end of the day was down to the individual when you find the right people on the other side of the of the phone or your email. Things, happen and. And as we we we saved your diesel down to people always. So yeah if you encounter people, you can guess done. And I guess to speaks to this idea of the humanity that can run through run through the space on that point I know of. Artificial, intelligence those kinds of learnings and technologies or if it's very important on the of course, developing these kinds of. Digital platforms and then the the sort of the health system sort of lives within that realm. I asked you earlier about this sort of a potential disconnect between Cole data and and warm skills of medicine and I think address that very, very smartly on allies that also an issue Matteo people say look you know. We worry about the limits of AI and we worry about machine learning and it replaces the humans and this kind of.

"Is it. Just enhancing enhances these body temperature changes and so you got into a bad. That is the perfect temperature. As soon as you fall asleep cooling your body in order to help you get into deep sleep faster and for longer and then in the morning usually went around forty for the m you start feeling cold. I'm sure it you experience the positive on the death for Yam. You stuck opening your cells. While in the early part of the night was you were feeling caught That is when your body's getting gravy for you to wake up and so we end has that the biological process as well through our temperature regulation now one thing. I know a lot of my listeners. Who are pretty savvy when it comes to just all things fitness all things nutrition all things overall health? Is You know we hear from a lot of people like remove Wi fi from your bedroom and and put your phone in airplane mode at nights when it's next to your bed so you're not having all of these. Ems Signals just bouncing all around your room. What are your thoughts on that on? Just a maybe. EMS General and does eat sleep sleep really a lot of these ems to do what it needs to do or is that minimal as minimal right. We really connect to your Wifi. So that that's the way it works are on our side. I think yet is a topic for a lot of people. I I really believe that it depends where you leave right because if you live in New York or any big city you can also turn off your Wifi. But you're probably surrounded by another twenty thirty S A bill O.. You above you side exactly and so. Maybe Tom Brady and your house is as big as halftime and you got in the him any also your Wifi. You don't get any match work by what I let I The other networks around me so and again. We'll just connect to your WIFI. The device in Public Rondo sleep tracking works. Also it's there is no Wifi so we are able to collect your capital of day says longest longest usually connect within a couple of days. At that point we will close the town cloud. Then that is how it has been designed got it and thank you for abusing Tom Brady. As an example I was born and raised in New England. So I am a die-hard at New England patriots fan through the brutal eighties and nineties. When we were terrible I willamette we've been overly overly successful unfortunate in the two thousands in two thousand ten but it looks like it's coming to an end so Tom Brady. You've been great to us. Thank you for what you do and I hope that you do have a house where you can turn off your Wi fi if you wanted to do just that but Matteo back to eight sleep because because I know a lot of people are just like I love the fact that Matteo had this passion had this idea had this desire to create something special in the world and you went out and did it brother but there's a lot of people that are listening than maybe they have their idea. They have their product or project. They want to get funded and they actually WANNA WANNA have money to to proceed forward. So can you break down for us. What your funding process looks like so maybe finding she could hear the successes and failures players that you had so we can learn going forward in our own world? Yeah sure I mean date sleep. We have raised over sixty million dollars. this is my third company me. I also raised in my second company so I went to Multiple on raising processes from seed stage through Cedar say. CVS being concerned. There might advice to anyone who wants to raise monies the the key thing investor would want to see some sort of traction so sometimes Serb people they just think that because they have a certain idea even if death idea looks very promising compelling. It's hard to raise money. From professional investors unless you can prove a product marketed or a certain degree of democracy. How did you show traction with eight sleep? In our case we did a Cut Funding Campaign on Indie. Gogo at the time it was two thousand sixteen. We sold eight thousand units in reorders and we made I think one point five million dollars in pre orders in the first month so right there you could have been like listen. We have proof of concept we have people that have actually put money down. Because that's what you have to do. Fire nation and crowdfunding refunding. You actually have to commit money to that product saying I will buy this when it's available yes I get maybe just an idea or a prototype right now but we can make this happen and Mattel. You probably don't know this about us here on news on fire but in two thousand sixteen in two thousand seventeen we launched our our journal on our crowdfunding campaign. We use kickstarter and in thirty three days we did over four hundred fifty thousand dollars for the Freedom Journal which is a goal setting journal and guess what that did that proved to us that we could then go and make the investment in creating the physical journals because we had all all of that money number one to do it but number two all of that proof of concept from everybody who said yes. I want that and I will prove it by actually investing money in today free future release of that product or service or whatever that might be so matteo back to you. You got that traction. What else did you go through the process process? Yeah the point we got admitted into Y combinator which was Quite a game changer. For us we went through the program for three months. And and then there was the Demo date where we were able to raise six million dollars and that six million right yet six million before the most of the money we already raised money before that but he was kinda familiar friends so very small checks at from a small angel's that were more orbiting on analysis at team than on the company itself got. Its so those people are probably pretty excited about where you're at right now with the company since they got in at the very early quote unquote family and friends round. So before we take a quick break Matteo and get to the next part of this interview or anything else you WANNA share share with fire nation about your funding process any pros and cons. Any wins any losses. Any tips tools or tactics. You think would be helpful for our listeners. I think the the key thing is a gain. Trial was due to prove as mass. Distraction is possible that this will make the process much easier. And if you can start building buildings earlier when you need the money and just show investor's progress so you can update them on bonds of course daily basis as long as they see progress. They get excited and they will be much easier based on that and what are a couple quick ways that we could actually find investors. Is there any any way that you went about it. You know beyond like a y combinator and one of those startups that's actually are specifically for startup funding investment that you really found effective. No the only ways usually just get introductions from other entrepreneurs our friends in the space and you started meeting people the job of investors to meet enterpreneurs in so they will take but likely they will take the meeting and at the beginning. If you're if you don't have traction make it clear that you're not raising money and just the US meeting to to pick them brain so that way you start seeing what they think about this pace and get some of their Some advice and eventually they might also also connect you to other people that could be relevant for the idea. You're working on fire nation. If you're going the funding route you can't just live in a silo. You live in a box. You have guts to go out in network meet. People have conversations plant seeds that some day may bloom into an amazing opportunity that then turns into funding funding. Because you never know that one lunch meeting you have. That person may never be some of the company but they may know down the line somebody who is the right fit for you and so on and so for so. You've got to put in the work you've got to have the conversations you've got a network you got to make things happen and if you think were done with these value bombs we are just getting started so stick around and we're gonNA take a quick break to thank our sponsors fire nation a habit I take very seriously is sleep. It affects everything in your your life including your daily.

"Sunshine. What. Import. We know about that. Doobie than to eat up. Up on this on every. Welcome back to the majority report chronics in protege. Joining us now is Francesco Pacifico. He's a novelist based in Italy. Awesome piece for plus one. What a long day. Now, pizza chronicles, the Twitter habits of Italy's news vice prime minister and minister of the interior Matteo Salvini Francesco. Thanks so much for being with us. Thank you. Before we get into his Twitter habits, Matteo Salvini is Twitter habits, explain to everybody who he is where he's coming from politically and the and maybe also briefly the current coalition that governs Italy. Okay. So this lenient because leader of the liquor, not the northern Italian league. So this was a party that up onto your twenty two sixteen years ago wanted to succeed for me. So they wanted a north anytime Republic on its own because they hated what they called it. Only the southern people that are lazy and t- to know Google, they want to do nothing. So the interesting thing is that by wheel of us neck and feel for the, I don't know the belly up the country. The league has become actually a way way more. Why that we why to think. And so now suddenly everybody's seems to for often that they hated people from say, Rome to maple. It's too. And these become the the, the temperature of these feeling that have the older crises that we've been toured since the the two thousand eight crisis Goba crisis has somewhat to do with the fact that he is to rope and that's too too many refugees. I'm documented. There aliens immigrants and so basically used to be a civil war in the making, at least culturally. And suddenly everyone is creek and they're all folowing. These chum these easy going. The tough that body that that dad Bod? Yes, dad Bod dad bond fascists wreck seeing selection that bar on Twitter all the time now. And of course you frayed you depart star has said that he that's really would be great part star. So he's become these motto for everything, Utah him, we sport, you must remember that we have been Coney for many, many years, and we do. Okay. We've been talking about it and that's the end of the season Trump became president. Right? Right. So when this county was looking color. Wasn't necessarily Shen speak going on. So everyone aspire to be like the scoring. In the meantime, the crises arrived so you'd have to crunch is running and on the other hand, nations of macho nation of audience lusting after it's speech speeches. So now you get a more relatable mother. It somebody that doesn't probably to have all the women was going ahead and all the money this county had. So he's like a new version of the same thing that sorts of, you know, not make peace with everything that they lost everything that they wanted and didn't have. So basically it's like a genius put each. Just to to situate it, then we'll get to the Twitter in a second, but that's really so basically what you happened is you have the to sort of three forces happening. If I understand you. One is we're transitioning from. I wanna be a tan, billionaire media, mogul prime minister, the kind of maybe that's me some ways actually Belus Coney for all of the comparisons to people like Trump. There was something that seemed very kind of Reagan liked about Belus, Coney certain sort of cheesy charm and kind of promise of easy riches. Then there's and we're moving to something different. Then there's the global pattern which is there was a global capitalist meltdown that emitted from Wall Street and because of the failures of centre-left parties to deal with the fallout of that. We have this opening space for a more even Vural and right. Like Bill Fletcher, junior says. Right wing populism is the herpes of capitalism. And number three. They just took a template of regional chauvinism and just said, well, why don't we just rebrand this as actually talion zero k, but all of the lazy in the bad people are immigrants from the Middle East or Africa. And there you go. Exactly. You're Usov ended up perfectly and so that's one more element which she's the populist party..
