"Fairly high draft pick because the NFL's Duncan away for college is over there, doctor that the draft is gonna happen. Sometimes they may push it back a little bit, but they're not going to push it back. Think there's something in their collective bargaining agreement has to be sometimes, like early June. I forget that Something like that. And, you know, why would you play a coward season? If you adjust the field, you're going to be a high draft pick. You don't prove yourself. I'm not the guys. I feel really bad for Like the Jonathan Cooper's who missed last year, It could really Raise his draft stock with a good year this year. Those are the guys I really feel for. Peter's Voice so Bravo Gop, sir, and thank you very much. Feel supports. Lovely, intro. Pleased to have had your intro used on a very significant week for tennis and the tennis podcast because. Is Back. We've bounced back. We're not rely reliving anything this episode David. We're just living in the sweet sweet moment of Palermo and Fiona Ferro up against an contemplates Tennessee is bouncing. It does feel properly like real tennis. Now, because this is the first time we've reviewed tennis tournament and previewed another one with. pre-tournament press conferences going on everywhere that we've been listening across to and chats amongst about people and look at draws actually looking it draws is. Suddenly such a thrill. It feels so so exotic do one of my lockdown. Tasks was to organize my phone apps into the hopeful folders. I. You know prior to every tournament, they send out match notes, really helpful staff and stat and. Kind of feels quite relevant at the moment because. The kind of it doesn't really matter who's won the most titles this year already, there's no such thing as form at the moment and it's all. It's all really unknown like what? What are the factors going to be with how players perform? Yeah. I mean, Fiona. Farrow is going to be like the new sort of defacto world number-one. Suddenly, she feels like the greatest player of all time to me because she's six to three all against the conservation I did find myself looking up Fiona Farrow before this podcast to work out what she'd done before it systems any sign of this having. Coming about six months ago. Matt Matt. Thanks. So I mean I've gone through her exhibition results she's unbeaten. Unbeaten an exhibition tennis during the lockdown ten Matt. So maybe we should be looking at the players who have played a lot of exhibition. Tennis in this period, if people that are you're going to be having to make predictions. Maybe that's something to a life off to cling to. We have already made predictions and they've gone incredibly. They became irrelevant. They became relevant very quickly. nobody was picking Fina ferry now whether it is going to be interesting, though isn't it to chart the few players that have played a lot of matches over the last. Actually, there are quite a few players because if you think of all the exhibitions that have gone around on all around the world and some of them have been publicized, some of them have been televised some of them. We've talked about others have kind of gone by without really. Being. Noticed, but a lot of players that played a lot of tennis and then some party played any at all and it will be interesting to see whether that has any impassable.

David Archer previews the Atlanta Falcons
"The Atlanta Falcons will do so with a former Falcons quarterback. Now he is their longtime color analysts on the radio network for Atlanta. And that is David Archer. David Hope all is. Well. Thanks for doing this. When we look at the Falcons, they made a big offseason acquisition getting Todd Gurley We don't know where the health is of Todd Gurley. What do you expect at a Todd Gurley coming over from l. A to Atlanta for this upcoming season? Well, be honest with you. I think we're expecting a lot of early and mainly in the Red zone. If you look at Todd Gurley's numbers, even with with so called quote unquote down near Around 900 yards rushing, still had 12 touchdowns. All 12 of those touchdowns came in the red Zone, and I think that Atlanta if they could find a way to run the football down close Help three up the talented weapons that Ryan has on the perimeter. Now, listen, you have a little bit more of a potent attack a little bit more looking a little bit more like what? You looked like a 16 when Avante Freeman and Tevin Coleman. We're carrying the ball down there close and created that problem in the run game. Atlanta has not had that over the last couple of seasons. I think that's where they expect Todd Gurley to make his main hey is down there in the red Zone. With the way that you probably have to manage his reps as a running back the rest of the running back room. Is there something that jumps out to you? Yeah, I think it's a good group. Really Do I think that when you look at Brian, Ill in the way, Brian Gillis Kamani together that Hawkins drafted a couple of years ago, Brian Handsome solid moments a year ago. Quadri Allyson. Kid at Pittsburgh rookie from a year ago. Uh, kind of woke himself. A little bit of a roll is a short yardage guy. £225 Goal line Guy, four touchdowns. Hopefully, you know, Smith can come back. He was injured in the game a year ago. I believe against the Rams in which he was trying to pick up a Blitzer, which he shouldn't be here should be doing, but he is an outstanding receiver out of the backfield. And a good change of pace back at the back, So they get to three young guys that I think you could lean on. And like you said, Take some of that. Load off. Assad, Girl. Let's get to the next down. And when we do so, we take a look at Matt Ryan and Julio Jones. The two big names in that organization. Do you still believe that this team could be a play off team once again with Matt Ryan and Julio Jones? I do, but it's you know, obviously, it's about you know your supporting cast and you do some things on the other side of the ball, and I'm sure there's a question you've got to worry about the defense's side the football, But there there's a little area in the offensive line. The left guard has been a little bit leaky, right guard's been a little bit leaky because of some injuries and things that they could shore up that into your part of the offensive line. Ryan's Like most classic quarterbacks climb in the pocket. They got to be able to give him that opportunity. Do so if you get into your pressure and accurate from problems, one game will help in that regard, but Yeah. Julio Jones, 16 seconds, 1300 yard seasons. Matt Ryan, nine consecutive 4000 yard seasons. I don't see the one those guys backing off. When you talk about that offensive line to follow up on that I'm a big fan of Matt Hennessy. Being a temple grad, really smart football player puts in a lot of work. Is he going to make an immediate impact in your number one? Yeah, There's always a question that he's certainly in the mix to be the starting guard. There's no question about that. I think that there's ah lot excitement around when he brings the table and and obviously the heir apparent, Alex Mack, probably its center. So Alex back in a little bit longer to still have a good football any But I need to put some guys around him that Khun taken, it could be in there and we had German Brown and James Carpenter guys that could not stay on the field. There was some solid moments from those two big veteran players, but they did not stay on the field and consistency. In the interior specialist that left guard spotted Kennedy ultimately will probably win that job and be the starter that guard let's get to the next down. All right, David Archer. When they flip the switch here and go to the other side of the ball defensively, it was an up and down year for the defense, but it seemed like they did finish in a better spot than what they did earlier on in the season. You could probably say that for the entire team with the Atlanta Falcons this division. Is loaded with offensive talent. You know what the Saints are. Now you have Tom Brady and the division with Tampa Bay, and I'll be curious to see what Teddy Bridgewater does with the Panthers. What's your read on the Falcons defense entering 2020 Well, it's an uncertain situation obviously went on God. Dante Fowler, Dad's pressure off the edge contact. McKinley realized what they thought they had when they drafted him a couple of years and the number one spot picked up Charles Haley, who, ironically, was in the same draft. And raided a route the same attack McKinley are Charles Harris. I'm sorry. Charles. Charles Charles Haley. Right way. I'd like to have the guy that was rushing the pastor there for both the Cowboys in the 40 Niners. That would be great, but Harris. He does have some raw talent there. Can't he realize that I'm the Falcon Tutelage will have to wait and see Grady dear. It's an emerging star in the tackle position and Marlon Davidson, Vienna and an interesting ad, a guy that has the versatility to play inside. Maybe in past situations and also play the perimeter as a 34 defensive didn't run down situations. The answer at all Burn second round draft pick of the fact that they think they've upgraded their defensive line. It'll have to be upgraded because you get extremely young secondary. Probably gonna have a rookie a corner starting your nickels, a second year guy in your other corners of third year, guys, So there's a lot of young players on the perimeter need to get some pass rush speed up the thought process for the quarterback. Let's get to the final down. Alright. I'm surprised that Dan Quinn is Bacca's the head football coach for the Lancer Falcons. What does he have to do this year to keep his job and Is that seats the warm because, like I said, I was surprised that they brought him back for this year. It is warm. I think that it's fortunate they brought him back because of the current situation with the pandemic and the uncertainties, so some continuity certainly has played into Atlanta Falcons off season. I think they've had a solid offseason, much as you can, with the limitations. They're attached to this year, So I think that it was good in retrospect that, uh, Mr Black decided to keep Dan Quint on, but I think he's got there. They've got a bit pushed for a playoff spot. I think they've got to be. They can't come out of the box one in seven. It's got to be a team. It's in the hunt of the entire way. As you said, it's going to be outstanding division with outstanding quarterback play, but they have to be in the hunt to be a part of the postseason play. If they do that. And I think the fans will be a little bit of stab on the wound for the fans. But if you get out to a slow start, it would not surprise me. If if Mr Blank made some kind of decision mid season on coach Boy and I think, coach when is the right guy for the job Now it's put up or shut up. He scored a touchdown will go for two here Oscar. One more question This team was 11 5 We all know the deal they were in the Super Bowl blew the 28 23 lead. The next year, they did go 10 and six, the last two years. It's seven and nine. If you had to identify the biggest reason why this team has regressed, and I know they've had some injuries to but overall if it's not the health of the team, what's the biggest thing that you look at? Why this team wasn't able to recreate that magic from 2016 and 2017? I think their inconsistency ball on both sides of the football in conversion, down situations and in the red zone. I think Atlanta's done a great job of moving the ball from 20 to 20 But when they get in the red zone, they bogged down and settle for too many threes. And I think in turn the defense's side of the football. What about 22 23 scoring defense coming up 25 points a game. They've got to find a way to get more stops in the red zone. That's probably the answer that you could probably get from all teams struggled and not made the playoff teams, but I certainly think That that's identifiable with the Falcons over the last couple years, the inability down deep in the red Zone both on offensive defense, Julio Jones, he's Ah Hall of Fame player. We all know that one of the better wide receivers in the league He's only had one year of double digit touchdowns, going back to 2012 when he had 10 TUC maybe 10 touchdowns in his fortunes this year. Well, I think he's certainly capable of it. But you got an outstanding receiver on the other side of Calvin Ridley, who's realized his abilities down in the red Zone Pretty close. I think Aidan hearse is going to be a seamless transition from Austin Hooper tight end spot So there are a lot of weapons from that Ryan to get the football too. Don't forget Todd Gurley and how good he is at the back catching the football as well. So I I would say no, I think he's going to be 89 touchdowns. I don't think he goes double digits, but I think there's a lot of guys around him. They're going to score touchdowns. Look for guys somewhere between 13 14 guys catch touchdown passes issue. Say that we appreciate it. Thanks so much. You be well, my
Olympics Re-Lived: 2008 Beijing
"Beijing Olympics of the first Olympics I watched extensively I vividly remember be home doing what she did in. Athens. But for sort of wall-to-wall coverage, it was Beijing for me and I just remember the venues being really cool. The bird's nest, the aquatic center looking futuristic and yeah I just lapped it up. Do. You remember the dramas at the opening ceremony. That's kind of a rule about a conic moments matt. I think that is the conic moment isn't it from Beijing? Yeah well, I would say you same bolt is the I call. Of this the sport yes I'm going. Non You talked about venues and several. Yes opening ceremony iconic moment. Yeah. They also remember all the re. There were lots of theories about the pollution in Beijing and that being there's always some sort of controversy drama in the lead-up. Olympic. Some sort of reason that's being peddled in the media may be completely legit often is about why the Olympics is going to be a massive massive failure. In Rio none of us were ready. We didn't get that with London twenty twelve here. I'm sure in other countries they did everybody was sort of united in positively about the Olympics but in Beijing was the pollution because the the factory I mean everywhere in China in factories in urban areas in China and they were well first they relocated. I know from personal experience, they relocated a lot of the most polluting factories from Beijing to other parts of the country in particular to Ching de. meaning that on my visits to Chengdu roundabout that time it felt like my throat was burning every time I stepped outside because the pollution in the smoke was so bad. In fact, the final of the champions tour event. that. I attended in D. had to be halted because nobody could see the ball. But In Beijing I mean the police was was far less bad than fit but they hid seeded the clouds in order to make it rain in the lead up to the Olympics to clear the air they were controlling the weather. Can come here and do that. Yeah. No, I remember thinking what if it's that easy to make it not reign. Why we faffing around with you know? All the time.
The MPB Photo & Video Hall of Fame
"A full to another episode of this week in photo I am your host Frederick Van Johnson today I'm looking to be joined by Matt Barker. He runs a little company called MPP. It's cross the pond, and over on this side, we're going to be talking about some of the projects that they're working on and just sort of getting to the bottom of this hall of fame thing that he cooked up. He met welcome to the show. How's it going? On keep having me. Good evening evening here so Here The It's good to have you good to have you. So let's talk about this. So first of all, let's talk about the company. What is All. About what's the company you sort of elevator pitch for for what you guys do? Show assets pretty. Straightforward. We now the largest platform globally. For photographers, videos, filmmakers to buy sell and trade kit. So we are online and available in the whole of the US where you are in the UK and all across Europe as well. So buying anything from entry level. Salah Kit maybe one hundred bucks up words right the way through to syndicate Red Kit things of that nature. Up to the various kind of high end of things. So I think overall reprise across about six thousand different products and buying and selling lenses, bodies, etc way. Primarily within the kind of autofocus era within the digital era with bodies. But obviously that's a huge catalog of kit. And now now the biggest and the best place to be doing that really. So that's in a nutshell, our PB DOT COM. That's fantastic. Congratulations on that. So so just just to put a finer point on it. So the largest the largest player in the buy sell trade. World for photographers and videography or creative professional's doing that sort of stuff. What does that look like in terms like today right? So as we record this, it's July sixteenth twenty twenty and and obviously if you know your history people this was in the middle of the pandemic, we're currently in the middle of a global pandemic. In, what how does that affect the world of of buy sell trade? Is it a positive effect is negative or is it benign? Question I think. It's been obviously an awful time for all of us and really really challenging for business in general and. It's usually by this many businesses literally having to shot of their Dole's. I think from our points of view and it was fairly similar in the UK to the US. So in the US based in New York because you said earlier in the UK, based art in both the UK and New York went into lockdown around a similar time in March. And that stage. John Sentence for us we we weren't sure if we could remain operating tool at that time and around the balls that were being put in place and things like that, and we run a massive warehouse here in Brighton Beach Warehouse in Brooklyn and so i. I kind of concentration from us, I, guess when this thing came on was the safety of our staff primarily, it was very much a stop first customers this second approach. But I think once we got past those early weeks and got measures in place in warehouses to ensure that everyone was safe and we continue to operate. We've seen is like a really really positive thing in many ways, which is the it's been clear to me watching what's been happening on the platforms that people have been really engaging with photography actually, and we've had loads of new in new engagements and new customers coming onto the platform for the first time. Has Been recent huge growth and not. Someone said to me I guess is that during what's been everyday difficult time during a time where people have had to spend a little time indoors and? Changing the normal habits working from home excetera. I think people have found a lot of comfort and joy in their hobby and turns about passion point and to to to find. Some pleasure really at quite difficult time. So and we're certainly not a net beneficiary of this thing at all. The companies out there like Amazon's. Wouldn't ever say that that was the case walnut to be the case. But we have seen. Huge. In great engagement in a way, is clearly evident. The people have been been quite active with their hobbies. So that's been really really positive and I am going to see and like I say we're very lucky that we've been able to continue to operate to row being an online only business as we all. Say Some Fortune. I suppose dipped in that, which is you know not been the easiest thing to find a late. So yeah, it's it's. You know as as a business as well. I think because we all we've been around since two thousand eleven. So this is all on ninety. We're significant size business. Now, we're lots of people as well and again thank thankful for that because that gives us resilience and helps me I think if it had been if he had hits us when we were a much smaller company ABC's it's a lot more challenging to deal with, but we have. About one hundred people that work here. Now, not helped us in terms of resilience as well and being able. To change the way, we operate to to accommodate things at this time so. Yeah it. Definitely. Definitely a challenging. But definitely. Some positive things in there that we we can be talking about as well? Which is quite

Galaxy Note 20: We Dig Into Samsung's Latest Flagship
"Is new about the no twenty yeah. There aren't any huge notable things where you're gonNA say oh wow this looks totally different or feels totally different or seems totally different This is kind of Marvin iteration from what we saw last year and frankly in innovation from the s twenty lineup So there's The, there's two versions the note twenty in the note twenty ultra The note twenty has a plastic back Samsung went with Matt colors time, which is kind of Nice. We're all interested to see what that actually looks like in person The ultra uses gorilla glass on the front and the back and it has A. One of the big things that we saw happen is in the s twenty lineup there the ultra had this one, hundred x space zoom You know that they demonstrated zooming in like crazy far being able to see things and this time they've paired it back. So now we've only got fifty in the ultra so it's not as big of assume. Which I think is probably ultimately a good thing that was kind of blurry and frankly a little creepy how far you could zoom with your phone. The screen sizes are pretty big one of the things that was really nice about last year's note line was that Samsung had a new note that actually wasn't that big of the note ten was six point three inches this year the note twenty starts at six point seven and then the ultra is six point nine. So you know these are very large phone so. You really appealing to kind of those loyal note fans yellow will be questioned is how much do these phones cost? Yeah. They're not cheap. The. The note twenty is nine, Ninety nine, and then the ultra is twelve, ninety nine. So these are definitely premium phones I think people are going to be kind of looking at the note twenty and saying, okay, this is thousand dollar phone I'm not really getting a lot more than maybe. Beginning from some of the older versions, is it worth it or? Do I pay that extra and get the ultra that has you know kind of. Our specs it just is. More premium device. So we're really going to see what people ended up doing when it comes to making these decisions.
Gordon Murray T.50

The, Lake Yeah, it was very entertaining. I'll be uploading many of those. Like, they're having a great time out there. visit. Great. It was a great bet. You guys can see it on his instagram you're dragging your you got the boat. You're the kids are out on the rouse being dragged by the boat. They fly off. You pass the sack. You see the slasher out your. Their lives. I can. Carry? Them would have died I couldn't have posted it. Had this scroll through all my other videos to find out a comparable to find out that they were doing good something. We've got some cool ally interesting news about The McLaren announced that well, the Gordon Murray announcement that we wanted to get into. So we sort of got this job. So we can I hit that before we get started. Just, another word from our friends at Dodd's it's A. IT'S A it's time for dodge power dollars and that means for every horse power. You get ten dollars off your purchase on dodge challenger Dodge Charger and Dodge Durango come in and save dodge power dollars for pretty sweet deal. So as we As we are sitting down to record this. There's some news that's out there, and of course, the most interesting stuff that we're finding is Gordon Murray finally took the wraps off his. Off his new SUPERCAR, his t fifty supercar, Gern, Gordon Murray very famously designed a series of f one cars had a relationship with the Clarendon did the McLaren won Three Seater Central Driving Position Car I love that car bill I know you love that car it's sort of a wishlist amongst us all. I'm sure everyone who had an opportunity to get one at one point kicking themselves now because they keep going up thirteen, million, eight, hundred, million in life be knocked twenty million dollars going nuts So there was a great video presentation that came out. With Dario Franceschini taking a touring ordinary designs during Gordon, Murray on a moto and they took the wraps off this car and It's it's. It's pretty it's pretty cool. Gordon Murray's thing has always bands. About lightweight and from this car from. The initial design in his head all the way up to what it is. Now he said a goal of no more than one thousand kilos in weight and he hit nine eighty I believe puts it somewhere around twenty one, hundred, seventy, maybe twenty one, hundred, seventy, four pounds. This is extremely lightweight way in in. Today's world. Under twenty two hundred pounds. Of. A modern day car it. The Way to do that. And explain it when you go and you watch the videos, you read the press about it. Is. You have to design this thing from the ground up. With weight savings in mind every single step of the way, the the CAR IS MONACO CARBON FIBRE the entire bodies carbon fibre everything. That could be carbon. Fibre is carbon fiber of. The the engine he went to Cosworth and said, it needs to be naturally aspirated. It needs to be the twelve. It needs to be lightweight. needs to sound fantastic and it needs to be naturally aspirated. Of course, right? So. What they came up with was three point nine Liter v twelve. Six hundred and fifty, four horsepower. Three hundred and forty four pound feet of torque again small. You Know Small Displacement High Ramming twelve thousand one hundred RPM match. Enjoyment. ‘The Bachelorette’ Casting Shakeup Expected for Upcoming Season
"And I know we don't normally cover bachelor bachelorette stuff but this one thing kind of just took our interest and personally having watched bachelor in paradise. I have a real liking towards Teixeira. So we just wanted to discuss because I think it's interesting. So. As you guys know Clare Carly was the Bachelorette her season of course was interrupted with the whole Cova situation. And nothing is confirmed with basically the rumor is that she refused to continue shortly after filming began. Because she fell in love with one of her contestants. This guy named Del Moss he's thirty one. You know he there was a little bit of drama I think early on with his social media activity according to reality Steve which I can't speeches reliability but I can say he has been right. A lot of times said the basically she fell in love with him night one she gave him the first impression rose and she you know think about anyone else she felt so hard and she was done. and. So. I guess she really just didn't want to continue filming and so. The producers obviously were freaking out and Teixeira Adams who is twenty nine years old she was on Colton season she was basically the runner up. Her and Hannah after Colton basically quit to get. CASSIE and she was on Bachelor in paradise and she was dating John Paul. Jones. She's just a bombshell. I've always thought she was a class act. She's stunning. She's really good energy. I actually am really surprised that she was not always the choice now that I'm looking back on it although. I. Remember when Clare was initially announced we were thrilled because I think it's really exciting when. The woman is a little bit older maybe want something different in her life at that point whatever. But what's interesting is if you remember when they had done the initial casting, they had to let some people go because they wanted order contestants. So apparently, and again, I can't tell you this designed to present. This is what's being reported apparently, they kind of were calling back on both some of the contestants eight initially lecco because they were too young and also some of the contestants that Clare had eliminated. So I don't know what's going to happen, but you know Franz Verbs, let's just take this as factual. I think it's more fun to analyze it that way. And I have to say like while I'm thrilled if this is the case these I would so much rather watch tasty to be honest I think she's just really fun and lively and I didn't I got a bad taste in my mouth from Clare after initially liking the whole Matt James Situation I just thought that that was a little bit. I don't know I was not into it when she kinda call now for basically doing charity work and like I'm happy that Claire Found love that's going on. But what's the fuck? How many people think they found their person the first night you know what? Yeah. I mean listen I'm not a bachelor watcher. So I don't like there's a lot of I guess. Details and and patterns and things that happen over the seasons like with different people and people who nuclear people don't like I'm not involved in any of that I really don't know I have a very like personal view of the situation but to me I always thought the whole point was to find the person you wanted to be with the bachelor and a lot of people probably knew in the beginning but continued to date throughout the show like I just I just thought that was the point maybe I'm off with all of my lack of experience in the bachelor but from the very beginning watcher beginning understand her it seems like that's kind of the point of the show. No. I mean, yeah you know listen I do believe that there are certain times when you just know and you're like, this is my person and there's two sides to that one one I'm sure one side could say like. She's right. It wasn't paired the other guy she was doing them a favor, but the other side is. Okay fine. You have that in how much better of a story will be that at the end of the day you knew since day one I don't know the whole thing seems weird. If this is really the case, all I will say like of Clare's happy and she's with this guy in their happy he's hot For her but if tastes the Bachelorette, that would be some shit.

But I are chasers chasers or the good stuff that helps the batch it go down easier starting with the TV. We've been watching Berry what you've been watching. I started the second season of shrill. Yeah Yeah I'm liking it. I liked the first season but I think the second season is way stronger. It's really funny. Also lally who plays Fran is. She's so funny and she's so good I loved. They're really I think exploring her character more this season and I love her a lot. There's one scene where she takes herself out on a solo date Gets Super Baked and goes to do Karaoke by herself and sing shallow and it was like it was so funny and wonderful and probably my favorite scene so far the season But yes I'm watching trillon. I'm really enjoying the second season. What about you? What are you watching? I have not watched any of shrill I do want to watch shrill This week I started watching. Cheer people haven't Seen It. It is a documentary series that follows this competitive cheerleading team from Navarro College in Corsica Texas. They're like they've won a BA- Jillian competitions. They're like one of the best if not the best competitive cheerleading team in the country and like follows their journey he is. They are getting ready for this national cheerleading championship. led by their coach. Whose name is Monica? And she's like the Ice Queen. I'm like only halfway halfway through and it is a little bleak. It's like weirdly well a it's in Texas and so there's it's Wednesday and were there all the I don't know for some reason they're taking like Texas like pride class and this. This woman is coaching them on. Like what people bill in Texas care about and this woman is also very clearly like a pro trump. Yeah it's just weird at also there's a very it's the co Ed cheerleading team. And so and most of the men who are featured are gay men and yet there's very big lake love love the sinner. Hate the Sin Energy that I don't love got one point Monica. The coach talks about like having to go to her pastor to like talk about homosexuality oh sexuality like all right. I guess I'm like in such a bubble that I forget there are people like that's still and I do think by the the end you get like Monica is like a a good figur- and like a lot of these kids in the show. Come from Lake Nick. Not Grey backgrounds and this is like cheerleading for them is a thing to like establish a life and like a routine and structure and Say like she has a positive impact on their lives but there is like a weird like stage. Mom Energy you too. Yeah I can see that but anyway it's entertaining. Here's a question. I have about chair. Is it insular in the sense that like it's already made and it's all out or are they like the following them to the championship. Championship hasn't happened yet. no it's all like it's just one particular year okay from last year. All right thank you. Everyone in our office is obsessed with it and has been talking about it nonstop. I'd get it also. I have been on a flexibility accessibility journey right. This is probably extremely inspirational. And I was sick of everybody on instagram. Saying like are you GonNa Make Matt and which is a phrase that they use. Serb there can only be twenty people on the Mat When they perform their like championship routine? But there's something like forty of them. Toto aw who are all like backups. And so they are competing against one another to be on the Mat for the competition. John so you WanNa make it on the Mat. And I'm like I don't know what the fuck that means so I guess I have to watch this God damn show anyway. I also finished sex education which was very good awesome. I yeah that was my show last week that I've only seen like episode seven then. I quickly watched all two seasons. Yeah I and I love it I actually. I spent way too much time just now talking about cheer when actually sex education is like one of my favorite shows. Now it's just it's like very charming and like so inclusive in a way that's like not I really for like a teen comedy show. Oh yeah like Ernest. Yeah Yeah Yeah. It's really heartwarming. But like in a good way. Anyway what is your t chaser my on TV chaser is is w are slash classical music in general. I don't know anything about classical music. Nobody's listening at this. I think so. Alex has been working really late lately. And so I've started and I realized that like I really can't watch TV or be on my phone an hour before bed because it just really fucks with my sleep. So something I've been trying to do is establish Alicia time to like read and write in bed before bed and something that has been but I I like having music honor. I like listening to naughty books. Like just something like having sound on and so I listened. Listen to a lot now that Alex is not home and it's just it's just classical music but like you just cool genre. You know it. It's been it's been bringing the peace and calm and appreciation so I I really enjoy. QSR which is a new New York public radio station. Classical station I feel like it. I feel like it's a guilty pleasure but it's it's not guilty now classical music US feels like it and like you know like in in the Cool Brooklyn okay. Sure you know but but yeah really really really digging digging those classical tunes Except when they go into like Church organ music then I'm like no no no Gimme the strings you know Bach doc okay. I don't actually really know Bach but Yeah that's mine. I have to Mostly because one is about spending money so I want a non spending money one. I think I mentioned in a past episode that I've been looking for the candle that I smelled in Harry styles. Green Room yes even and I found it a little talk mostly because I just googled Harry Styles Candle and it came. There's been pictures of it but I was like I wonder if that is the Senate I knew it was a dip TC candle I've never been a big candle person. I love candles. I I think it's like my mom like imposed this weird sensitivity onto me that I've now like adopted of like we'd go to people's houses and she would be like a can't stand the smell of that candle it's too strong. We have to put it out and then I like grew up with an odd sensitivity to like that like like strong candle smells but I loved that smell so much and I was like I will find it and I went to store and sniffed a bunch and I couldn't really remember I took my best guess and it was right muscle. It's the tuber roses Tuba rose. There's some French way of pronouncing it too But yeah it's so good. I love it and I think they go by more. Even though they're seventy dollars candles and then The the free one if you want to live my life without spending seventy dollars on a candle is a youtube video that you sent me that. I'm still obsessed obsessed with. They can't stop watching it. which is live tyler? Does her twenty five step beauty and South Carrageenan from July lie. Twenty nineteen year olds but live tyler. It's a sixteen minute video of her doing twenty-five steps apparently what she he does every day. She did to face masks in this machine. This is for her like no makeup makeup and ninety percent of it is. You're our doing like facemask. I also did not realize until Grammy's night that she was Steven Tyler's daughter until until I texted you saying because I was jokingly tweeting about how I didn't know who aerosmith was and you didn't know who was but you did not realize that that is his daughter you're right yeah and yeah so it makes even more sense that she is the way that she is in the video she says like Oh my dad's so obsessed with skincare. Whenever goes Hussy spend like three hours in the bathroom and people in comments are like? Oh my God that's Steven Tyler. It's just like so. The way that she speaks is so like an djelic but in this like it's the first step of her beauty routine is putting on erm as scrunchy a customer mess grunge. The the comes from like her friends boutique in Paris. And it's just like I don't know I mean I'll never be this lip gloss us which I made With Giovanni yes it is truly the least relatable video but also I want to emulate every second of it and I I truly love it so much anyway Go Light Up a candle and watch a sixty minute video. But I think discovery channel and instead of being about homes it's about aquariums and they like fit nice aquariums and places and this episode that we happened upon was Tracy Morgan and his octopus and he needed a new tankers octopus. But part of what they did was they took. Tracy see Morgan to a place. I guess Tracy's to have a shark and then he donated it to a spot because it got too big and so he went to visit his shark but he started freaking out about being put into a cage and like lower down to like be with. The show thinks. It's wild episode of television. I also love at this. Is Tracy Morgan. The actual person injury. It was beautiful next. How can I address these concerns with her without making the holiday more awkward and tense than the baseline level? Small children including my own. We'll be eating this food so the stakes are high. Oh Yeah my mom always gets mad at my grandma. Because like Schilling. She used butter. That's been expired for a year or something like that. And they're both alive. So yeah I mean obviously. Don't eat you meet. Especially that you feel like as undercooked or bad but Hopefully it's big enough Turkey that you could just kind of pick and choose which parts they seem the most PA- cooked and least gross shore. I also don't know where you're sitting in proximity to your mother-in-law but remember that really cool trick when you're a little were you. Were you pretend to eat something and it actually just going on the side of your face. She's like triumph bunch of that. And then Vaudeville humor to try to and then you can just have a meal at home with your kids like order some pizza. Yeah yeah it seems like Turkey. The Turkey in in this situation is probably the most questionable. Yeah yeah 'cause meet. It's always a little scary. 'cause there's like I don't know equal I guess sure but I always think the Turkey is like everybody knows Turkey is leg. Not The star of Thanksgiving. He thinks it is. That's why I tweeted this last year but I I identify with Turkey because I to take four hours to get ready. And then I'm over shadowed by sexier side pieces but the point says it's like you're going to load up on the sides anyway so just like take the tiniest piece of Turkey they go. Yeah when in doubt how we all feed it to the dog trick and then if her dog dies you know you dodged a bullet jokes on her salzone next up. What kind of alcohol should you pack in your suitcase? Gluck down in your room in between Thanksgiving dinner and watching. This is us with your family. You have have to try to not smell it on your breath so nothing Brownlee Bourbon or rum and nothing that will stain your teeth like red wine. My go-to has been boxed white wine. Take out of the container. It just hand the bag of wine in your suitcase. I like Oh she doesn't think sorry. I'm assuming this is a woman it is. I like how they don't think that white wine makes your breath smell box right wine. You're you're walking around wreaking like wine. So what are your thoughts as to the best alcohol to pack on a trip with your your parents and no just drinking are in front of is not an option. I love you guys. This is legit my era Bunga. Have you tried Jin because I feel like you know well has this listener. But they can't respond so I feel like gin doesn't have a very alcohol e breath to it because of the juniper so maybe maybe then if you like we're getting so tactical on the notes of the yeah and then maybe if you like have like a floral non alcohol drink you can be sipping that masks. That might be something. I'm also gotTA say a little concerned about this practice. I don't know how much I really want incursion. Yeah I'm thinking you need something. That hard seltzer. You're truly heart Seltzer. Hard Seltzer are you able to buy it in your hometown and put it in your backpack. Because obviously that's not something you can. If you're checking a bag could I guess bring heart shelter but that might be the ticket for you. Yeah Hard Seltzer for sure or at least as a mixer for something else that can mask the flavor I feel like the true secret is having something mellow enough. But then mixing it with something. That is overpowering being enough to take away like mint or yeah just eat like a garlicky chicken Carbonara air we just pile on the garlic uh-huh or like Indian curry just something like super strong. It is supposed to be between Thanksgiving and watching. This is us with her family so I don't no no. That's what their survey bring home at Indian Curry. Yeah just bring pack that in your roasted garlic ladling in does eat a whole cloth. They'll be concerned about how how you stink in other ways but at least you'll be drunk unhappy. Arrigo salt that I said I was probably the best advice. We've given this whole time. uh-huh next we've got some black Friday problems so after Thanksgiving my family will WANNA go. Black Friday shopping. Is there a not tacky hockey way to say I don't want gifts. But here's the log in information to my student loan provider so whatever you're going to spend on me can you just bend it there instead. I just don't want more socks with cats on on them or candles. I have so many limit does exist. Here's the.

"Very respectable place you know it's not like these kids with their lime scooters just throwing them on the sidewalk he parked in a parking spot between new cars. Yeah I just. I can't believe believe this was a story. This was a story in the Associated Press. Someone didn't get arrested for drunk driving a car shopping cart. My God save journalists fearlessness country and I continue to give them money and attention and finally wildlife officials in New Jersey will remove aggressive aggressive wild turkeys from an adult community this week after several people have complained about a flock of about forty to to sixty road had damaged property and cars and attacked people trying to shoo them away. They're just out. They're trying to have a good time. Also forty to sixty s fucking terrifying last thanksgiving. There were wild turkeys near my boyfriend's parents house in Boston and there may be ten in there and like I was afraid to go outside. Forty two six. That's that's a lot of bird. I forty to sixty turkeys a year. You should probably probably consider going to Jersey and taking these birds away then. Probably I do love like this is the Tis the season for Turkey to lose their shit. Yeah and they deserve of it they know but yeah now the Department of Environmental Protection for a New Jersey which have done a wonderful job so far of keeping user's clean I mean just getting said that a division of fish and wildlife worker. We'll have to try to trap and move forty to sixty wild aggressive wild turkeys using trails of corn to beat them and then trap them. "Matt John longtime first time. Caller, welcome. I was calling to ask that. Yeah. Take you tasks on something cool as fiftieth birthday. So in the past. I've heard you say there's nothing that religion accomplishes. That can't be accomplished by secular means I I'm not sure if anyone has taken a test on that I've pointed it out, but it's very specific in that. There's nothing real in true that can only be accomplished by religion because you could accomplish it through a secular lie or something along those lines. But where am I wrong? Okay. Well, I guess that might kind of answer this dilemma, but I was going with the I kind of agree with that. And almost every circumstance, but there's one that I really couldn't think of a retort switcher toss it on the security camera in the sky dilemma, how would you secularly? You just did he people you just did you could have a lie about a security camera in the sky. That's a a lie that is functionally identical to sky daddy watching. You know, I I guess that is the second station. Yeah. The other thing is what you're really asking. Here is that there is within religion this notion that because you're constantly being observed and judged by God that this encourages people to behave morally, correct? Except that it doesn't because religious people are no more moral than anybody else. So clearly as a rather ineffective tool, and I would argue. As I would argue that without a lie. The secular solution, which would be more effective would be to get people to understand that their actions have consequences for themselves and others to develop a sense, of empathy. And it's not because somebody's watching and you might get caught. It's because this is the right thing to do. And once people actually understand that you wind up with a better world. It's like, you know, when when kids aren't under their parents thumb to they go out and do all kinds of terrible things. Well, it depends entirely on what the parents taught him. And if they taught him this carrot and stick we're always watching then they may be more prone to going out and doing terrible things. But if they gave them a sense, of empathy and understanding that, hey, how would you feel if this happened to you, and there are other people in the world? Now, maybe you've raised some decent kids. I definitely think that's mostly true for most people. But I think there are those people any circumstances that you have there's a certain percentage of the population. That's going to stretch the limits of whatever moral code that. They are raised even if. I believe in you know, but I think those I would think those people would stretch whether it was religiously based or non. Why on earth would Catholic ever need a confessional? If people actually were convinced that there was a God watching them all the time. Because what the confessional ends up doing is. Hey, I can go out and do all this stuff. And then I can come in. And okay, how many hill Mary's in our fathers? Do I have to say to get past this? And it's the reason that you know, the the joke about, you know, Catholic recognize Baptists are going to have an in Baptist. Don't recognize each other in the liquor store. If they thought God was actually watching all the time. It's only when they're reminded of this that that it's guilt mechanism and far better than giving people guilt mechanism, especially guilt about being a normal human being who you masturbated. You bet your ass. I did it was awesome. Why are you trying to say that's a bad thing? If you teach people that is a normal part of human behavior and win and where they should do it like in the privacy of their room with a consenting party are on their own rather than out on the street. Well, you got no problems. I guess that makes sense cool. Well, shoot I thought I was going to take the task for real on something. But I guess I'll have to find something better..
