"Worst Who wins the M V P I say Tampa Bay finishes the best wins another Super Bowl Texans. Oh, they're going to be the worst. It's a bad team, bad, bad team who will try to get rid of a guy that some people think he's a bad guy into Shawn Watson. And I think there can re wins the M V p this year, stacking up those seasons if he pushes 2000 yards again, I think it's going to be really hard for The traditional voting media to ignore a feat like that from someone like Derek Henry. What say you America, 855 to 1 to four, CBS, Josh and Michigan on the grass show on CBS Sports Radio. Hi, Josh. Hey, man, how you doing? I'm all right. What's up? Alright, so I got Pat Mahomes as M v P. I got hometown by Detroit Lions Worse in the league. I receivers are not it right now. Defensive, terrible. And then Super Bowl. I got our boy Matt Stafford going to the Rams, taking them to the promised land. Alright. So, Josh, you're in Michigan. What would it mean? If Stafford gets there, like are people in Detroit rooting for him? Or are you an outlier in terms of the way you feel about Stafford? I love Stafford. But I've met people here who absolutely hate the guy. They don't think that he was the answer. I just hope he goes and either wins at all or that you terrible and get the number one pick for us, So there's really no in between. I got you, uh, that's that's pretty That's that's pretty interesting in your right. You forget about the trading of those first round picks and how as a fan from afar Can really get wrapped up into rooting for another team to fail because they own that first round capital. I mentioned it Earlier, When Matt Stafford came up, I just have no reason to believe. Why a different coach is going to be able to get a different result out of Matt Stafford. Mattie Stafford, his head multiple coaches in Detroit. It hasn't worked. Stafford is, uh, you know, had the luxury of Never really being challenged for starting quarterback job for a decade. And that either level of I don't know how you want to look at their at that level of security, that level of comfort. You know, it didn't necessarily lead to Matt Stafford really getting settled in getting better and finding a way to lead his team differently. To be able to get a better result. I just don't believe that when you put a guy like that, with Sean McVeigh that now all of a sudden things are just going to change within the career. Matthew Stafford, because he's got another coach. Once again. He's had different coaches before. And it just hasn't worked. So or I, It's very much like I could be being too rough on Matt Stafford. Because I've never really been a fan to begin with. I just look at how come he wasn't able to affect the right kind of change there in Detroit, and they had that one year where they won when 11 and five And then we know how that turned out. I said, We know how that turned out. We know how that turned out, and it was a term heard of a turnout. 855 to 1 to four, CBS Vic in Detroit on the grass show on CBS Sports Radio. Hi, Vic. How you doing today? Aggressive alright. I'm good man. I hope you are the same. What do you have this evening? I'm first of all I got to tell you about what you said about mad Stanford. I mean, Being from a guy that's been watching Billy Sims. There's Sanders, Calvin Jones. I mean, Matt Stafford really didn't really have a great chance is the trick. He's going to have a lot of better chance in L A. Don't get me wrong because it's just it comes from the top in Detroit, and I hate to see because from the fourth family, they just don't know how to run an organization. Just bring people in and shoot him out. Every company that has been rebuilding you and I'm talking about I've been I've been watching the Lions since Wayne, France. Was a coach and and and used to come out on the field to cigars and stuff like that, and I used to be a ticket holder. And I'm just they just don't have The finesse rather than intelligence and how to run a professional or a football organization. I'm gonna give you always give you and all your friends the groups that now I'm sitting here right now in the parking lot of Motor City, Dracula, and I am betting Am pounding the understand the Lions economy under and the games in light of this season because the lines are going to be the worst football team in the NFL, everything the Jets, uh is going to be, but I think you know to use them. But Some way. Somehow the lines just completely. I mean, they're going to get demolishes their division and that's what I got for my M V. P is Aaron Rodgers. These intellectual speaks officially, he's gonna be throwing that ball over the president, and at least I could put up over 300 character, an alliance defense alone. She's looking for that big money contract next year. Then why? And Rogers went out of Green Bay the only way to get out of Green Bay like every mistake the NFL's business when it comes to dollar bills. You know what people react. Aaron Rodgers looking for that big big painting like Tom Brady got like Russ Russell Wilson kind and then I have also, my team said it is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Because their team there's so much and think that even Tom Brady confessed. Larry for that didn't even want to get the vaccine shots for Covid 19 totally against it. Only that we're going to no matter what happens, one of the risk, isn't it a thrill almost found it. And Tom Brady can do. I mean, I'm not talking about how much a man has got. I mean, and I know I'm in Michigan guy and I'm Michigan Father. Yeah, but with you event, so I'm kind of buying. I'm sorry. And I know you know, I've been a time Brady fan all my life. I've seen the kid play instead from your them, but we're talking about a 44 year old man who was convinced his entire team to get vaccinated. Because they want to make sure that nobody gets out of a football game that you told me that that's not disciplined. That's how much this team has got disciplined. You've got everybody on board and they're willing to take this. The best thing all the way through the Super Bowl. They are. They will try. I and I like the bucks to go all the way As you had mentioned. I am fascinated with the people of Detroit and their various thoughts on guys like Matt Stafford. Their thoughts on their team being a really bad this year. You know, I thought there might be a little bit of optimism in Detroit, just because when you bring in a new head coach, and you have a new quarterback that people would look at that organization with a different purview. But instead? No. They think the lines are gonna stink. Uh, Tony in Wisconsin on the grass.

"21 interceptions in a QB rating of 84. Elway had 22 touchdowns and 23 picks Ken O'Brien of the Jets that year. Had 25 touchdowns and eight interceptions. Ken O'Brien, Joe Montana. Hey, Joe, What do you doing with avocados Today? He was almost station today by the Joe Montana threw for 3653 yards that year with 27 touchdowns and 13 interceptions, the great Dan found, said 27 touchdowns and 20 interceptions. We people say, Well, I mean Manuel food, they don't make them like him anymore. What Jimmy Mac that year had a quarterback rating of 82.6. Which let me see in that year for all of the guys that were Like Ken O'Brien, I think statistically had the best year of anybody that year. It's just crazy. How they remember to away games daily. The quarterback rating also is a lot of ways. It's tied to completion percentage, right. I mean, they weren't throwing wide receiver screens they weren't thrown as many hitches. The rules on how you can cover a wide receiver were completely deaf Review completed 60% like Remember Joe Montana in the 40. Niners played that West Coast offense where that little swing pass was That was the first time you ever heard anybody say Well, our passing game is an extension of our running game because we get the ball in the hands of our receivers in her back really quickly. Joe Montana that your completed 61% of his passes. So I mean, it's just It was your right. I mean, it was a different era. It was a different era. But statistically, yeah, you're I mean, you're right. Jim McMahon was never leading the league in any statistical category. I guess you could tell me more this than I could tell you because Was too shocked to hear the gym. McMahon's Hi touchdown here was 15. Yes. You just told me Ken O'Brien and that same year had 27. Yeah, No, I am. I am surprised. But I think Jim Jim fit that team. I mean, that's that's kind of that's who they were. That was their DNA's. That was there. You know, they were just a different It was a different style. Um, you know, I like I said you you would know better than I didn't even get here until 89 played with Jim and one training camp and I was I was Absolutely totally impressed with the guys football like you. Yeah, despite despite his his body haven't taken a ton of abuse, and he physically wasn't at his peak in that time. Paul was always on time and camp. I mean, he knew where it was supposed to go. I was really impressed with him. I think his body had betrayed him at that point. When then we traded him. I think to San Diego. Um, yes. Yeah. I don't think anyone will ever look back and say Jim was one of the all time greats in the history of the league. Well, people bring that up about. Hey, will you had Jim McMahon? That's what people a lot of people bring up, and that's why I always say. Google his numbers, you'll be shocked. I wanted so Everyone has always said about the quarterbacks, and that's why we're talking about Nick. Man we're talking about racks were talking about Tre Biscuit. We've talked about Cutler these air, the greats of the modern era for the Bears. We've never had a truly truly great one. So let's play the There's rumor of the day, okay? What's it? Newton Garoppolo Menchu cousins Glennon. It's time for the QB. Rumor off the day, you know, mija love it. This is from that Maggie from a Mike Silver article on NFL that club dot com. Talking about All the quarterbacks moving around, had tipped to believe her nation. One person watching closely is Chicago Bears coach meant Nagy, whose team is actively seeking a replacement for Mitchell. Travis Key, the number two overall pick. In the 2017 draft quote. With all these quarterbacks out there and all those young guys who will be in this draft. It's gonna be a fascinating off season as far as the quarterback position, Nagy said. And once one goes, it's going to be like a domino effect. So was that one Matt Stafford or is that one to Shawn Watson? And another name to bring this to moved. Off. And you ever remember. They know we're swamped for one another. But there's been two names that have been moved in Stafford, right. I'm just reading you his quotes. No, I know I'm not like I'm there's really nothing there. And the thing that the rumor the chatter today is Carson Wentz could very, very Likely be traded is the way Adam Schefter said it. He was on a Philly sports radio station yesterday. Does he interest you and Woody interest met Maggie considering Doug Peterson, who is close with Matt Nagy was the guy who wanted Jalen hurts. I told you this yesterday. That's not the route I would go. I'm not convinced that a quarterback that needs to be fixed that the people here can fix him. Wanted. I want a quarterback. This isn't need to be fixed. I don't think that you have the capacity. The time the patients the proclivity, whatever the word is that you want to use that don't believe that their best Option is to rehabilitate a talented quarterback who has gone south made. The other side of that is a quarterback who may not be have to be fixed could just be a little above average. And you could be paying a very, very high cost for him. That's true, But you're still gonna have you're not gonna have to pay much, probably in terms of trade compensation or less. Probably for Carson wants, but you are gonna have to absorb that contract. And Like dare cars playing better than In Carson Wentz right now, Right, So, yeah. Mean again. I think he can be. I think there's talent in there. I think he can be fixed. Think even you don't even have to go back to that season where he got hurt. The artist stats from the 2019 season and I can't profess toe to tell you that I've I've watched every eagles game from two in 2019, but I think his his performance in 2019 wasn't Bad. So like it's a newer phenomenon him not being able to play his position. Yeah, I mean, he still wasn't ever a zoo. Good is the year that he did get hurt. There were still still things that he did that would drive you crazy. I'm looking up his stats right now. Then we were. Why don't In the meantime, When I get some callers, I need 10 callers. Let's go every inch every five. We're gonna play a game based on the Super Bowl 3123323776 in increments of five all the way up to 50. Carson wins here. I've got 27 touchdown, seven interceptions in 2019 quarterback rating of 93 threw for 4000 yards completed 64% of his passes. That's what I mean. Like 2019 wasn't horrible. So maybe you don't think you fix him as badly as you think. Well, that may be true, but I think he still needs to be fixed a little. All right. We're gonna play a game based on the Super Bowl. 3323776 tell you what it is. When we come back. You're Listeningto Waddle.

"And I love watching, But I'm having a rough time by the day rougher, fundamentally like mentally co signing the notion of giving up You know three. That's one thing. Four first round picks and a starter now I know And it's four relative to Detroit. Does Matt Stafford because they gave up a player also? That's the difference, right? Uh, well, yes, but also the difference? Yes. Yeah, you literally. Yes, but also, you know, you're acknowledging that Stafford's good Watson's great Yeah. I mean, you know, so right away, you know, even if even if it wasn't to offset the contract of God, which is what forced you quote unquote forced you to throw an extra one, or, you know, or that third or we're both into the hopper to entice the Rams to do it. Apartment, enticed the lines to do it. The differentiating factor here is while Stafford's good Watson's great and he seven years younger, Yeah, I mean so. You know, I mean, I know there's a report out there, you know, you tell me because maybe I'm too close to the situation. If you're Joe Douglas. Now, I don't know what the dot will the Dolphins. You would think it would be to us all right on define the Dolphins. I would obviously do that, because if you're getting rid of two, and he's the player and you're inserting, watching that it's mean, of course you do it the Jets to give up three or first round picks and Winning Williams. I'm not. I'm not inspired to do that. Yeah, No, I'm not sure that's the way Ugo and you know, And if you're going to say, you know, if I think the Dolphins in the best position, because if you're the Texans, you have all of that draft equity plus two, uh Obviously you're moving on from two but two was still on his rookie deal. Got three years of rookie deal money, as opposed to say, I'm Donald has only got no he doesn't have any year, so he's going into year forward. You gotta get picking up the option. That's exactly right. So like immediately rescinded, but still but still like your immediately put in a position to do. We pay this guy $30 million next year or 25. Whatever it is, whatever you ever is 28 million area next year. The answer is probably gonna be no. So the Jets kind of don't feel like it's the asses. Muchas it sounds like it's the when we said that's all Last week. It's the it's the preferred destination. I don't know if it actually is. I think from a Texan standpoint you you'd want equity. But you also want maybe a project as well at quarterback, and then the Dolphins with one that give you that if the Dolphins really are ready to move on from Tua if I'm running the Texans right now, I don't want to, Although I understand contractually why he's far more appealing than Donald. So of the two I would prefer to or because they're just based on the money. And you know, you can theorize, even though I think that you know, I know Donald's bigger and whatever, but you can certainly theorize that, you know, three years in the book's fore Donald versus one year or a happier of to, uh, that there is untapped potential. It was to, uh okay. I mean, I could bore Americans say there's also untapped attention with Donald. Whatever you know, I think that it could be good, but that the point is, is that I wouldn't do that I would not want to. I would not want Donald. What I would want to do my target upon the Texans would be the Jets. But I don't want Donald the thing I don't that would then be incumbent upon the Jets to flipped Arnold and to get or keep Donald, you know for a little bit and then and then flip him right before the draft. Maybe get a third round their fourth round there for sure, maybe third. But if on the Texans the most appealing thing for me is Had that number two slot unless I am enamored with two uh and I don't know that they are. I know that I'm not. But if they're if they think like me, I don't want to. Ah, I want the number two spot. I want either Zach Wilson or fields. I want my choice, or I want the ability to go from two to wherever to take another quarterback, whether it's Mac drone, Mac Children or trail and whomever I want to know. That I am just accruing. Ah, small, you know. Or, you know a new army of number ones, and I'm not married myself to a quarterback that I don't love. I want to pick the guy that I love. That's a good point. I like to, uh That's one thing if I love t Oh, that's different if I love Zach Wilson. Oh, yeah, if I love fields like that is what we don't know. So we'll talk about this every day until we know what the Texans feel about the quarterbacks that we just mentioned. We don't know which way this is going to be T the Texans have not been In the market for a quarterback, and so they'd likely did tertiary work at best. I was out on standing on to write because they weren't looking and probably Donald. Too old, too. They have been looking for a quarterback for four years, so it's not. They're not worried. I've been worried about these guys. So there's your what you're saying is there's no chance that they love one of these young quarterbacks who hasn't quite hit With someone else on another team. They want to pick their own. And at this point the way that they were building you have to pick you pick your own. Um, yes, because there is no expectations. This is this is similar to what we were talking about with Detroit. And you know our buddy Dan Campbell up there now in Detroit, like there is no expectation right now. For the Detroit Lions. There's no expectation right now for the Houston Texans. So you're you're going to get the benefit of the doubt of a re bill. You had a new coach got a new general manager you got it just feels like it's new on starting over is probably the best thing that they can do unless they can convince the Shawn Watson to stay which again. We don't believe that that's happening. But the only way Tonto kind of make this thing like disgusting, nasty taste. That's settled in really all year with Bill O'Brien getting rid of Brandon, Uh, DeAndre Hopkins and then the dysfunction and finally get fired and then You know your limp to the finish line Despite having excellent quarterback. The only way to get rid of that is to start over with new pieces Almost everywhere. Listen, t we think about how we criticized the Eagles. Right? And you know the deterioration of Carson Wentz and How Doug Peterson was so red isn't to give Jalen hurts any postgame props or or annoyed him. The temporary starter like that was a mess, and that was a talking point for every show, but we were all over it on this show, right? Now, now, now can't that was bad enough, but contrast that to the Houston Texans who fired the coach first had all season in essence from the halfway point forward. To consider every option and line up every single person that they needed to line up to hire the best person to not only lead their franchise, but also maybe placates the wrong word. But ah line their higher with the hope of their future of their franchise quarterback, right? So not only did they mess that up But Carson Wentz right now is unrecognizable. John Watson basically won the NFL Triple Crown quarterbacking. They have butchered it at every conceivable level. It is and I said this last week if you tried, if you try to make this much of a mess out of it. You wouldn't be successful. No, you couldn't. Now you wouldn't shame. It's disgraceful. What they've done. It is Watson doesn't want. I don't care. What what Kohli says. He's not gonna go back there. He's done. He's not. He's out. He's out, So I ask you every day. I'm gonna continue to ask you every day. What team? You think Watson's on next year? I asked you Friday. I'm gonna ask you to them. But here's the thing If you would've asked me what team is Matthew Stafford on? I don't think I'm saying the L A Rams. I don't even think it's close to the top of my mind. To be honest with you to say the L. A Rams. For from Matt Stafford. And so I'm gonna I'm gonna say Atlanta I'm gonna say the same about you said this the other day..

"I think we're going to see come out. Is how much more of. How many more moves do the broncos. Try to make an order to upgrade quarterback and then that would be even more than indictment something that drew could legitimately be be upset about is if they go out and you know. Try to trade for sam darnold and for some reason. That doesn't work out. They tried to trade up in the first round to get a quarterback if they keep doing all these things then it might get to that point that you're talking about but right now just trying to to be on the matthew stafford really drew shouldn't have Enough behind him to get upset about that. Do you see the broncos with that news like you talked about with with the detroit situation. Do you see the broncos leaning towards that quarterback position and. I'll probably ask you every week. We have gone. Because i think with the news. It's going to change on one hand. I'd love to see that cornerback filled. I'd love to see 'certain. But i don't think i'm gonna be mad at a quarterback for denver even if it's a bus down the road because you just gotta keep trying until you find that guy. Yeah and i would not be surprised at that. I don't know how you can be Because like i said this was the first time we've got any indication of what george peyton. Thanks drew lock. And if he went back and watched the film these past couple of weeks and said holy cow men. Pat shurmur was running the wrong steam for him and was giving you know reasons why through didn't have success in and was saying it wasn't through salt. Well then the broncos aren't going to do willing to give up a first round pick to get matthew stafford but the fact that we saw george peyton go out and was willing to give up equivalent of a first round pick. That says that those initial reviews are not very good. So how could i then come back and say that okay. Now since they didn't get matthew stafford he's going to be okay with rolling withdrew and not look at any other options. Because like i said matthew stafford a good quarterback but not nothing better than you know maybe just slightly above average and with the ninth overall. Pick brady if you love a guy you definitely think. He has a higher ceiling than you know. Just slightly above average quarterback. We're talking to zach stevens of dvr broncos zach. What what do you think this is telling us about. First round picks now and again. This deal gets done future picks. But we're hearing you know. I don't know how realistic aaron rodgers leaving. Green bay doesn't sound like it now. But you're hearing. When we talk about quarterbacks o three first round picks for the shawn watson if not if not more than that. What's it gonna take for math staff. What's it gonna take for. Aaron rodgers are our teams. Now and again i know. The quarterback is always king. But i mean we're getting to the point where we're devaluing the draft so much that we're willing to not even participate in a first round for three to four years depending on what the asking price is. Yeah i mean sean. Mcvay is totally okay. We'll take a night one of the draft off mean he. He's not gonna have a first round. Pick until i believe what twenty twenty five twenty twenty four right now that is just absolutely wild and of course. His last first round pick was jared goff back in two thousand sixteen. And what's very interesting about. This is yes brady. You're absolutely right. Some teams are going. This route of saying we would way rather have a known commodity Especially quarterback than than the unknown..

"Boy there is a lot to get to today. We have quarterback a lot of quarterback news. Matt stafford has a new team. And it's not the broncos dylan. Mccaffrey has a new team. And it's here in greeley and as the voice the bears. So that's gonna be pretty exciting. We'll talk about that later on Get to my game of the week. Nolan aeronautical is gone. I mean the joker had a thousand points yesterday almost at least close to it. There's a lot to hit. We're talking quarterbacks. I though joining me now zak stevens from. Dnv are broncos zach. My friend matt stafford. How close were the broncos in landing this deal boy. Brady good to talk you. What a weekend of court it was. And i would say the broncos deal kind of land in the middle knowing her an auto trade absolutely terrible horrifying can't believe that deal happen. The not making the deal for matt stafford seems to fall in the middle. Because of course the big news especially up where you are dealing. Mccaffrey going to unc. That that is to cool. That's obviously the best. And like i said matt stafford deal not getting done kind of falls in the middle. But it's a great question. How close were the broncos. And i think there's two ways to answer this. The broncos were one of the final teams in on matt stafford. They did show a lot of interest in him. And everything i've heard and also being other reports seems like the broncos were willing to give away and equivalent of a first round. Pick now from what. I've been told i do not believe that number nine was available but i don't even think number nine would have got the deal done so in terms of how close they were. They were one of the final teams down the stretch in those talks. But i think they were pretty far away from actually getting a deal done just because of what the lions were able to get from the rams. The broncos offer was probably about a ninth. Pick away from being done. I think the broncos would have had to trade to first round pick in order to get this thing done future first and the ninth overall this year and the broncos. We're willing to do one of those in terms of First round value..

I love it. They tried to get Aaron Rodgers repeated are reportedly they try to get to Shawn Watson reportedly didn't work out. Who's next? Matt Stafford, get it done. Get it done. Hell of a player, even a 33. It's got a lot of balls left, and he's tough, really tough. By the addition of that I want to talk about. Well, if something went down on Friday, and I'm talking about it today, it probably not go very well for the guy that it happened to you. And it didn't talking about Nick Syriani. You had coached the Philadelphia Eagles. That zoom pressure did not go very well for him. I will have that for you as well. If you won't talk about a guy with a fat face. That I might allow the references as they relate to Patrick Reid. Yeah, I know. It's kinda hypocritical. He stepped in it again. Schedules. Patrick Reed again, You know I've done my best. I really have done my best to try to find this guy. It's impossible to do so at this point. And we'll talk about the weekend he had 1 806 368686. I want talk. Also about the Joker. Utah Jazz came into the weekend is the hottest team, the MBA and Denver got him. Great matchup. I wanna hit that. Chris Harris Jr is coming up in 40 past and then after that collar Murray so we're going back to back. Which means you should try to get through right now. You have your phone number. You know where to find me on Twitter. You know, for instance, that you cannot rein out baseball. You cannot. You can actually my bad. Fact it happens all the time. You can run out tennis. You can rain out golf. You can raid out baseball. You can write all these things out, but you cannot rein out life. Sometimes, no matter how hard it is. No matter how badly it's coming down out there, you gotta get in your car. You got a brave the elements and you have to get to the people who need you. This is why you.
Matthew Stafford Blockbuster: Will the Rams Massive Gamble Pay Off?
"Bill barn. While i am sorry. I off retold you on friday explicitly. You'd have this rare sunday off from your job making a smarter about football. But just when you think you're out espn daily always pulls you back in pablo. I was ready to record at one in the morning to talk about the madden pro bowl. So this is slightly more newsworthy. So happy at least we have more something something more compelling perhaps talk about here with matthew stafford trade bill barnwell is a senior writer for espn and the host of the bill barnwell show podcast compelling but also kind of the closest thing football gets to a video game transaction. Two starting quarterbacks getting swamped. We have matt stafford. Go into the rams jared goff plus two future first rounders and third rounder. This year headed lions. So when you got the adam. Schefter claxton on your phone saturday night. Your first reaction was what. What my first reaction i would say that the rams really hate traffics and want to get rid of them quickly and efficiently as possible and then my second thought was that the rams really were done with jared goff and wanted to move on from him and weren't going let anybody beat them to the punch with an offer. We knew that a deal was coming this week because there were reports on saturday that the lions were expecting to get a deal done by tuesday which is essentially when it comes to the nfl their way of saying. Hey get your best offers end because we're gonna make this deal sooner rather than later We knew the rams are questioning their commitment to. We talked about it over the past couple weeks on. espn daily. Even though his four year one hundred thirty four million dollar extension has not started yet. And then on top of all that brad homes the new general manager with the lions just like the rams after i believe eight years as their director of college scouting under less need. It was the other. Gm who made this trade so put all that together and the rams made the most sense as a possible destination for stafford but the fact that the deal was announced late on a saturday night probably tells you that the rams were not especially proud of how all this went down. Just given up on the quarterback they have been propping up and defending public years while giving up two extra first rounders justice upgrade under center
Detroit Lions coach says Matt Stafford trade talks are 'hot and heavy'

"And as I said earlier, Harry Carson, once upon a time, said, I'm Mike and Mike that he was so frustrated with the Senate with that, with being left out every year that if they voted him and he didn't even want to accept it, and then he got voted in, and it was one of the greatest moments of his life. So that's my gut on what would happen with Schilling if he does get it next year. And of those three. I think he has by far the best chance to you got with Bubba. What's next? Yeah, and we just talked about it with Danny or Lasky mats there for them. The Lions will be parting ways this offseason. I imagine a few teams will be interested. So who you got as the best fit for Matt Stafford in 20 minutes? I'm gonna say Colts, I would go India's I totally get it on San Francisco. Obviously, look, you can't go wrong with either of those coaches of every NFL court. Back wants to play for college. Shanahan, a Frank Reich. I'll go. Indeed. I like the idea for him of continuing to play in a dome like that. There's just so many things to like about that situation. You put Matt Stafford Quarterback in Indianapolis, and I would say they become right there in my view, neck and neck with anybody to be knocking on Kansas City's door. Kansas City is the favorite to win the Super Bowl every year for the foreseeable future. They're number one. As long as Patrick Muhammed is their quarterback. They're number one in the conference. Then you start thinking about the other teams that you see in that discussion. Baltimore with Lamar, Let's see what they wind up doing there. Let's see what have Pittsburgh kind of tries to retool. Let's see if Cleveland takes a step forward. There are about Buffalo, obviously with the experience they got with Josh Allen this year. You put matched effort on the Colts. And I would put them ahead of any of those teams. Next year. I would slot them in as my second favorite in the A F C behind Kansas City, so that to me is the pick. Format. Stafford, Greenie and bubble with who you got. What's next? Yeah, Rams GM Less needs, says Jared Goff is quote a ram at this moment, and it's way too early to speculate the future..

"Way, Matt Stafford as Niner quarterback. We hardly knew ye because Aaron Rodgers is the new nine X squared to that shifters, Schefter Stern it up their folly, stirring it up, saying managers could say, you know, by the way, How about Jared Goff going? Whoa, Wait, What? No. There's a lot of people get moved, driving Garoppolo and and Jared golfer like on a conference call right now going hey, jeered this. I guess we're both out of a job, apparently, because so forget it by if we were doing this show Saturday, Matt Stafford was locked and loaded as the next Niner quarterback on then, if we were doing the show, you know, a week ago, which we were to Shawn Watson was locked and loaded as the next night or quarterback. Att's some point. Matt Ryan was in there somewhere, wasn't he? He was in there somewhere. Ryan Watson Stafford Aaron Rodgers. What happened to Zack Wilson, the BYU quarterback member? There was a point in the season where he was the guy who, Um, who my forgetting Justin Fields out of Ohio State. Maybe. How about the quarterback to actually have Garoppolo? You're the only guy They said You're the last guy standing with. I'll tell you. Come on. What do you give me? Floor poly Standing with Jimmy G to the bitter end and me standing with Joe over Tom Brady to the bitter end, Right? Probably. That's pretty good. 10. You and me both follow. We're both in our trenches. Right? We're in the foxholes. You're with Jimmy on with Joe. Yeah, but anyway, there's some sound from yesterday. Um, Aaron Rodgers making news. I mean, I my immediate taken. That was like, Well, there's no way and how the Packers are trading them, And so is this just like this is just wrong Emotion after a tough loss. Oh, auras. Schefter said You're Aaron Rodgers. You could make life hell on the Packers. He could be like, you know, I'm not coming. Trade me. I'm not gonna play. Yeah, whatever. He certainly doesn't need the money. So I guess that that that almost you could sort of interpret all this by saying like, I guess Roger's looks at yesterday. I mean, I'm just guessing this is what's in his head that he looks at yesterday and says Okay, I finally had my chance to win a title game at home because of my coaches, bad decisions. Was unable to win that title. Maybe if I go someplace else, I can do it. See, But to me that doesn't That doesn't have Roger's taking enough accountability for himself because the floor had nothing to do with the fact that Roger's wouldn't touch the ball under his arm and just simply run into the end zone instead of forcing it across his body into double coverage for an incomplete pass, that's on Rogers. You're absolutely right. And there's also Brian Baldinger has a breakdown. A pretty savage breaking. I said Thanks for swinging by the way. That was a great tax. Now that was one of them. Orange Rogers. I mean, we talk about these times. Jimmy doesn't see the field because we've seen all those Jimmy doesn't see the field. This doesn't see the field. Rogers was missing guys all over the place. Had a shocking lack of vision on a couple of plays would really shocked. Yes, that would have changed everything. What did you by the way? How much more like severe. Does it sound too? When you got baldy breaking it down? He's like, not lucky. Missed him again. Look what happens here, like ball degrading you in a tough fashion is like it makes it all the more severe. They're human beings playing in a high pressure environment. They're going to make mistakes. And Rogers made mistakes yesterday. He did. I mean, as good as he was. He did not see he goes to specific plays where he had Lazard. Why, on the third down, play Crazy Open the second, downplay. Where he throws the back of the end zone. That was the worst one of them all the one where he forced it back to Adam's Lazard wide open. I mean, there's like it's like it's like he snuck out in the field is like a security guy. There's there's nobody. Nobody near him yards. Yeah, and then and then the one you pointed out the rot. The lack of the tuck and run was just I just don't know what he's thinking right there. I don't know. You know that those are the moments. Those are the moments and and to give Tom Brady all the credit in the world. His moment was right before the end of the first half. Yeah, but he was fine. I'm gonna find watch me. This is my moment. I'm gonna see here. Hand me the knife so I can put this up to your throat carp A Brady. Um, you know, I mean, he seized the moment that was that was arguably the biggest play of the game. If not in arguably the biggest play the game. I think it was. I think it was the biggest play the game. That's where Brady gets all the credit in the world, man. For being so ruthless gangster as you called it, Bo. He's a gangster. Yeah, Here's a little Rogers afterwards about the fourth down play like that. The disconnect between him and the floor to about not knowing about fourth doubts Rogers on down. Did you agree with the decision to kick it there on fourth down? Well, I didn't have a decision on that one. Yeah, it wasn't my decision. Understand the thinking about two minutes with all of our time outs, But.

"You know, maybe they think it's a good deal. I just I never quite got the sense that they were over the top, absolutely in love with him in New England. They liked him. But when they traded him, they basically said, like he's worth a second round pick that to me doesn't seem like someone you love love. Um I don't know. I've never really bought into the New England's going to trade For grapple of this offseason storyline. Maybe I'm crazy. Maybe we'll play this back in a couple months. That to me is just never been something there after. I think they'd like to pay a lot less for a quarterback on. So I wonder what Jimmy would fetch on the open market. You think a second rounder, huh? Probably, or maybe a little bit better. I mean, my guest is Sam Donald, who's been a totally fine starter with some pretty good upside, but a lot of injuries. Kind of like a Rapallo. Um But but Grandpa has a lot more. You know, to show for it a lot more film. You know, I would guess Darnell's going to get a late one or in early two. That's my guest. So I would think Garoppolo, who has a contract and Has cost control for a little bit. I would think he probably cost about the same. So you're thinking, you know, the 35th pick or something Like that, or like the 29th pick in that range, you know, just kind of leaving it here, and we appreciate all the time. And is that what you talk about? Like It's our winds, a quarterback stat. So if you're Tom Brady fan, you say absolutely. It is. That's why he's the greatest of all time. 10 Super Bowls, right. But like Matt Stafford is top 20 all time and almost all these categories yards and touchdowns and everything. You know what his career won loss record is 74 90. So it's like, Yeah, bad teams, but like, you know, let's say, and I don't mean to sound like someone doesn't like staffer like separate is awesome. And sounds like it is a great person and You know, is incredibly productive. If you're going to trade for a quarterback, you need the whole package, right? He's got to be a leader. Which Stafford isn't quite like that, Um, you're not bad. He's just not the front of the room. Rob Rob, you know, he's not Tom Brady. He's had a lot of steps. But hasn't led to a lot of winds. I don't know. Um I don't know. Yeah, I don't know where it is right there. I have a lot more questions that I have her answers. "He does well, they went to the Super Bowl with him. But then the problem is he's not on the field all the time. He's missed, like 23 48 games. He's coming over s. So can you count on him? And so I have to think that you find a way to do it because if you get a quarterback like Matt Stafford, which end up doing is it's you some kind of contract extension to freeze up cap room and you're not getting him, you know, in the guarantees that he has, but you know, but he's there. Obviously, they're not gonna pay a first round pick for Matthew Stafford. But if he should be available and you have to think about the quarterbacks gonna be available, they're gonna come at a discount. And so is that gonna be a second round choice, third round choice to picked over two years. You know those type of things. I think you're gonna be in play. And if that's the case, I think he could be a solid consideration. It's an interesting thing. When we get into the debate about you know who's who's available, and are they injury prone? Sometimes I think that conversation goes to an unfair place. I mean, first of all. All of the 40. Niners got hurt this year. So why are we only holding that to Garoppolo and couldn't we if we're going to spotlight Stafford, aren't there some health concerns there, too? Not as much because he's had some limited injuries, But he's not miss games. I mean, he's been able to play for the most part. I know he's fighting a couple things right now. But like anything else, all quarterbacks are going to get hit on. All quarterbacks are gonna get hurt that you're on a bad team like Detroit. You're probably gonna get get a little bit more. Most other quarterbacks, but he's been durable. He's got a great arm he's been before playoffs. The problem is the talent around him hasn't been good enough to win the playoff games. John, you know, even within the fan base, there's a there's a lengthy discussion about who Jimmy Garoppolo really is. And and and how much credit does he get for going to a Super Bowl last year? What? What's your view, like? Does this debate right now? About moving on from him? Make sense to you? What are your thoughts on Jimmy the Q B? What do you think the league thinks? Well, give me the QB is good enough because a good game manager, But the problem is availability. That's always the thing to paid. Many other quarterbacks stuck about one of your keys is to be available, and if you're not available because of injuries, that's a concern. And so what you wonder about is okay. It's not that he's injury prone, but it again when you miss almost half the games have been there. How much can you count on and that's what you need. I mean, the quarterback needs to be there 16 games a year, and he's not been able to do That and they get it. Maybe misfortune and all that stuff, But it's something you got to study study. And of course, if you're gonna be readjusting because of the cap, then you've got a solid would look at it. So it's an interesting debate. I guess The key right now to find out is what's going to be available to replace him. And how's it gonna work within the camp? Rogers is probably going to be the M V P Therefore he's going to be Green Bay's quarterback next year. But how? How much longer do you think that goes considering they drafted a Q B in the first round? Yeah, you kind of wonder. I mean, this is next year gonna be the last. I mean, you know, Erin was part of it because when they took him in the first round back in the draft, uh, pretty much a clock of like, two years on Brett Farve. And is that going to be the same thing with Aaron Rodgers? That's why I thought taking Jordan love and trading up for him in the first round was such a big mistake. Because Rogers is playing planning to play for years, if not more, And now all of a sudden, you get rid of the Hall of Fame quarterback who's going to be an M V P E and that Zach to me was a wrong thing to do. But you can see that he fits well with that offense, and he and that before kind of worked things out to a point where he could do well now again. What helped him out. This year was the second year with an easy schedule Me They had the easiest schedule in the leg, and so he was able to put up a lot of games and a lot of wins and all that stuff, but he's such a great quarter. Back, and I think he's still gonna be a great quarterback for many more years. And that's why I think that, you know, are you gonna take love that first round pick and just sit down for four years, you would tend to think not. So next year could be his last. John. I also wonder what your thoughts are on the Rams situation. Sure, this is an unfortunate, unfortunate timing with the injury for Jared Goff. But there there have been whispers about about Jared Golf. Even before that. The last few weeks have not been good. There are a lot of Parallels between our least drawn between the 40 Niners and the Rams. With the way golf and Garoppolo play with the way McVeigh and Shanahan call plays. Do you think the Rams need to start evaluating that position? Do because I mean, you can see the problems with God. Now, obviously, he's got the injury with the thumb and he's having surgery. And so he's gonna be out into the playoffs if they make the playoffs, But I watched it on Sunday, and you've watched it now for the last couple of weeks if you take away the run game Man, you take away his ability to get play action passes. He doesn't get the ball downfield. He holds onto it a little bit too long me on Sunday they could. They pressured him Seattle 15 times in the first half 15 Times is the most of these had been in his career and a half. And then what was so bad about that always started to do was trying to run like Russell Wilson and running outside and because he's not good running, and it's not good being able to throw the ball on the run, and so I kept getting Worse and worse, But I think you could see people now have figured him out. And if you take away the running game if you take away the ability to get play action passes, you know they've had to go now to him or to tight end offense, and it's a real struggle. John. Wonderful to have you today was the holiday. Good? Everything okay? They're very good. Very good, Beautiful. Wonderful to have you. Thanks so much. OK, Mark. Thanks. "He played with a guy made him better. Who Matt Stafford make better over the course of his career. Nobody. Amy had a whole Famer. So you would think that with the Hall of Famer drawn double coverage? You mean hell, Why did Wes Welker really come on the scene Because gets we played with Randy Moss for a period of time dress and we saw what happened there. And in Detroit that hasn't happened at all, and the talent of the quarterback should at least be able to make somebody in the passing game. Gresh. He played five years without Calvin Johnson. How to Calvin Do Without Matthew Stafford. Barry Sanders, you can make a legitimate argument may be outside of Jim Brown. The greatest running back or receiver. In the history of the game. So a position player Barry Sanders is pound for pound the greatest we've ever seen and overall second to Jim Brown, he won correct me if I'm wrong one playoff game in his career. You are being way too hard on Matt Stafford. You talk about the Taylors in the Rice is in the Roger Craig's If you gave That team to Stafford what he had with the 40 Niners Montana respectively, and you give him Bill Walsh. He's winning three or four Super Bowls, too. Maybe because here's the other thing ship. Guys played over half his career in a dome. You only play in the history of the NFL is playing the dawn Gresh? "Football season. What about Nelson, a galore out there in Las Vegas for the Raiders? Nine targets last week, five catches 107 yards and one TV. He might be somebody worth looking at. If he's he's not available by by the time we're recording this on Thursday, but you might want to check it out to see if he is Because he's somebody that you might look at to play over those wide receivers for Dallas thatyou might have. He had a big week. And I think, economize deep ball in that game from Derek Carr if I recall correctly, But the problem with the readers is they just don't throw the ball downfield a bunch. It's a lot of the same situation as you go with the 40 Niners is that that zone running scheme the race that's where he's going to make a lot of short passes to the tight ends. He's going through a lot to Hunter Renfroe when he does through a deep ball. I thinkyou're I know that you're better suited to have a guy like Henry rugs, but he's going to be the burner for them right, like he's going to be the deep ball threat. So Nelson haggle or who I think used to mostly be that deep. All guys now becoming more of a slog. I'm more of a hands got he can help you in a little bit of a different way. Then he used to When he was in Philadelphia. I just Yeah, I guess he's a He's a spot start option. I don't love him more than some of the other guys out there. It may be. It's a hot hand start, though. Kind of how chase Claypool was a hot hand start earlier in the season. Yeah, yeah, but But when we started Chase Claypool, it wasn't Yeah, I guess it was the hot hand started was also because of situation. My my point is that I don't know that we're going to see the Raiders throwing the ball downfield in the way that they did that sent Derek Carr's not turning the ball over at evidence. Extremely high rate. I think only two interceptions, one in reception on the season, too. This too, And you know what? You just I did a perfect segue way to our players of the week because I'm going to get it started right away at quarterback because you just mentioned him. I like Derek Carr last week, 24 36 2 G's one interception one of his only two interceptions like you mentioned that was last week against Tampa Bay this week there at Cleveland. Okay. Cleveland gave up 34 points to since the last week, the average the average giving up 32 points a game and the average giving up 288 past here in the game. So I think our eats in Cleveland this week about how about I go to the other that we were just talking about? You may not like him as a starting quarterback. I'm gonna go to him as a fantasy quarterback Carson Wentz. It's my dad against the Dallas Cowboys. Look, we've talked about this. He's got a receiver in Fordham. He doesn't have the weapons that I think people thought he was gonna have her that they'd hoped he was have. They were calling for Jalen hurts. But here's the deal with Carson once he's a good fantasy quarterback because he could move with his feet. He's got four rushing touchdowns in his last five games this year. He's also been putting up What he or more fantasy points over the last month and a half per game. So while they're not a fantastic team, and while the Cowboys air godawful America's team, baby I'm looking. I think he's a must play this week. If you've got him in a daily fantasy, the car someone's really good value against the Cowboys. So funny man. I was torn between whence or a car and I went cars. I'm glad you went went. Okay. Here we go due to get both of them and blanket coverage. I totally agree with you there, man and I was just a football van and affording our fan. I'm thoroughly enjoying watching the cowboy Is suck this year. It's so fun. One more this week on your Detroit Lions really don't like Matt Stafford is a play this week. Colts have been in an insane defense. They pressured the quarterback. He has not done well. This year. You should be in the bottom 15. They've allowed fewer than 20 fantasy points a game this year have the Indianapolis Colts two opposing quarterbacks. I really like them to stop Matt Stafford this week. So Matt Stafford as much as we've liked him in the past, even if their plan from behind this week Think the pressure is going to be too much. So it's no magic mat this week. Oh, magic Mat, no magic map, But we are going with with dandy Derek and dangerous. Dangerous. Derek and Carson. The Carver? Yeah. Carson the Carver already this week because we're carving pumpkins. Running back O came in. Now again. I'm going to preface this with we know that you're going to start your studies that you have your horses. You know the top 15 quarter ready, But you guys just play your guys play your guys but this guy if you're looking for somebody to fill a hole, I'm looking at love. Michael P. Ryan. Like Tony Ryan for the New York Jets. 11 carries 40 yards and a touchdown last week, and I think Frank Gore as much as we love Frank Gore. I think that with Levi in Bell out of the picture, they could move into P. Ryan status and continue to give him the rock more and do get this Casey and the games at cases that's always a tough matchup. But for 40 snaps to Gore, 16 snaps last week for P. Ryan and running backs have gained 1140 for total yards versus Kansas City this year, third most in the NFL. So I think that the Jets will obviously be playing from behind, and I also think the P Ryan will be a pass catching option for the Jets as well. So I think so. Everybody listening when the Jets are down 42 to 6 entering the fourth quarter on Sunday, and they've abandoned the run, and Iran's not like six carries because the Jets have been been throwing the ball since the first quarter. You just remember Tony. Call Tony Ryan while he was wearing a dog collar till Judith. Take Michael P. Run out of the backfield. Yeah, for the windless jets. That's your play, bro will be run. I'm not talking. I'm not talking about the Jets win in the game. I'm not talking about than having any sort of, you know chance in that game, except for fantasy points, All right..

The deal creates a pro forma implied equity value of the company at around one point, six billion dollars, and it will add six, hundred, seventy, five, million in immediate cash transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter and Lordstown will be listed on the Nasdaq under the ticker ride Lordstown recently unveiled its first model called the endurance. Worth one point, four, billion in potential revenue, which is good news. Apparently, this company has attracted the interest of investors here, which is pretty interesting. So San, what do you know about the truck? Well, there's still a lot. We don't know that we've seen plenty of it. Fairly modern looking truck looks a little bit like Riviera, truck has. Has, fancy led lighting going along the body. There's still no real specks. There are in Wheel Electric Motors, it'll start at fifty, two, thousand, five, hundred dollars. That's before the seventy five, hundred dollar federal tax credit for vs here's what Steve Burns the company's founder and CEO said in a video accompanying the news this morning, it is the first electric full-size pickup truck to come to market It has zero missions, its all electric. It gets equivalent of seventy, five miles per gallon. So imagine a pickup truck getting seventy, five miles per gallon. And no compromises. Although, there's a pandemic people are still using public transportation and they're planning for the future over at smart. That's the suburban bus system here in metro-detroit among a slew of possible changes. One that caught my eye was allergic extension of service for the Fast Woodward bus. The line has quickly become a flagship helping drive increased ridership numbers, pre pandemic, and providing a reliable spine to what's been a moribund underfunded public. Public. Transportation System here. This new change would take the fast Woodward bus all the way from downtown Detroit to Great Lakes. Crossing Auburn Hills. Also adding stop at a Meyer out that way. There'd be two additional stops in downtown Detroit as well. Including one right out front of Comerica Park some planning and public meetings still need to take place for this to go into effect and you can find out all. All the Info on their website at smart bus dot Org. I will say I like this ambition. This kind of thinking span one could even theoretically visit Listener Bob and Auburn Hills with this which I'm excited to think about. Yeah. But let me ask you chair though, would you get on a bus right now? No, I mean, this is definitely post pandemic planning. Yeah. I mean there's people who have to. To and I get it, but I don't have to. So I'm not going to, although I saw I got a push alert from the New York Times on my phone. I think yesterday talking about why riding the subway right now during the pandemic is actually a lot less risky than you might believe and I haven't had a chance to read it. I'll put a to that in the show notes..
Los Angeles: QB Philip Rivers To Leave Chargers, Enter Free Agency:
"The Philip rivers thing is really interesting because there's a whole bunch of things going on number one. The chargers need to find a new quarterback. The chargers need to find somebody to kind of become their guy here in this city. Philip rivers is may or may not play again where does he go and and then there's just the totality of Philip rivers career at this point. He's I think he's going to get in the hall of fame. Because it feels like good quarterbacks get into the hall of fame but he his career is a little bit of a mixed bag because he's the numbers are great. They've won a bunch of games but they've never been to the Super Bowl. I think they've only been in the AFC championship the game. Once in his career he played a long time he sees it one of those. It's really really nice and this is the thing about La. I know allies career is is a mixed bag to but there are two super bowl. Wins in that thing. There's a bunch of Nice long play offerings. Philip rivers has really never had that. I'm wondering if he's low key odor. The Matt Stafford met staffer when he does say goodbye is going to have some healthy numbers. And he's not going to have very much postseason success. And he's GonNa kind of be a guy and I know that doesn't sound like a good thing to say about Philip rivers because he's had occurred as better better than Stafford but the reality is that he's going to be remembered in the same grouping as Matt Stafford big numbers. No postseason success. Yeah you think about it. I mean ah you. Let's do the game real quick. Best Charger quarterback rivers is not Dan. Fouts Philip Rivers for me like Dan. fouts is still the guy that oh I think of when just off the top of my head and Philip Rivers has had a really nice career but he to me and make me. I mean you said Philip Rivers I but to me. It's still Dan fouts. Stan Humphries freeze is not the best quarterback in charge. He's not going to the super bowl super bowl so it's not the best ever which I think fouts is that guy and if you're not the guy that took him to the Super Bowl who are where are you in this whole thing and oh by the way. There's this whole element which absolutely sucks Philip rivers. I'm not a charger fan. I'm not not necessarily a Philip rivers fan but it sucks that they're the dude is homeless in a football sense and I'm not talking about where he goes with. Its indie or Miami or Tampa. He doesn't belong belong to anybody anymore because the chargers came to La Nobody in La Cares about Philip rivers as a football player. We don't have any history with him. We don't have any great. I remember seeing Filbert's do x Y and Z people. People Sandiego certainly do lay there anymore. And he doesn't even play for that team anymore. He's down the road. So who does he belong to at this point. He belongs to the San Diego chargers which don't exist anymore lousy guy that's had that career should have a home forever and he won't
Cowboys clicking on offense heading into matchup with Lions
"Golladay going up against the lions our. I should say going up against the cowboys who have a very good pass. Defense ranked number two actually against receivers and fantasy points fan duel. We don't know what Matt Stafford Status Status. He's probably not gonNA play or if he does play he may be limited because of that back injury just really kind of hard to trust this. Lions offense right now and Golladay they in particular is I guess a big. He's kind of like a boomer bust. I player just be based on the fact that using less deep threat. He's he's scored a lot of touchdowns Over the last like five or six weeks so it's just it makes me a little bit nervous at seventy six hundred this week going up against a very good Dallas defense and Particularly just against receivers and so I just don't love that matchup.

Dak Prescott, Matt Ryan And Dallas Cowboys discussed on Mornings with Keyshawn, Jorge & LZ
"There's gory floating around the dak prescott turn down thirty million key now. Nobody is numbers the terms or anything else. There's is no like hoard report that the dallas cowboys offered dak prescott thirty million over x. amount of years guaranteed this that but if dak prescott was offered thirty million a year and said no no that's. That's something makes you scratch your head because that's top tier money. That's that's right near the top of the harry. Matt ryan matt stafford that at the top of the list yeah but but i but i don't know that he turned down thirty real sea right. It doesn't sound right. Maybe it was a thirty average. You know the numbers the guaranteed number the money is guaranteed. Is it ninety eight guarantee plus because that's the going rate. Ninety million plus guarantee for the quarterbacks is going right now. Did they offer him thirty an average of giving sixty guaranteed interest and he's looking at another thirty million he

"But you want to do it your way, then fine. If you want to do it your way and turn the media against you. Because what they do is there a conduit for the fan. And so if they asked that question, and you are a nasty person to the media person who asked the question, but you still ask the question they'll be on your side. But what you do is you make an impossible for a lot of people to be on your side because you next question them on and your nasty about it. And then when you go out and lose in the fashion that you've lost then you're going to start to turn people against you. And while I fought this thought so many times trust me. I didn't wanna do it. I had to admit it last week that if he lost this series of Oklahoma lost this series. He is simply Matt Stafford of the NBA can't how could you Matt Stafford's never been an MVP, Ken. How could you? That's scaffolds never one in the postseason. Hold on. Which one's easier to make the postseason in the NBA or the NFL the NBA. How many more slots are in the NBA? You know, exactly how many more slots it's tougher to be in the tougher to be in the playoffs in the NFL. It's tougher for one guy to manipulate everything. The way that they do in the NFL. That's why we believe Tom Brady is basically, not even human. That's why we believe that the quarterback, which is the most important position in sports. Arguably is going to be the most powerful person in the NFL and in sports because we make these arguments. So when I have a guy like Matt Stafford where he does struggle to get to the postseason. He does have inflated yardage where I look at some of the stats and the juice pay era of Russell Westbrook and think the same thing where he definitely has some inflated stats. He definitely finds himself taking over and a Western Conference team that gets to the postseason with the sixth seed with very little around him. Oh, except they have Paul George, and they do have Steven Adams. You're supposed to lead them above. And. Yeah, I know that you were going on against the three seat in. It's a little. Difficult. However, when you're looked at as an MVP candidate every single year based on the stats, and you refuse to get any sort of realistic standpoint of what we've come to enjoy from previous MVP's, Kevin Durant. Steph curry winning multiple NBA championships. The standard has changed. It will change for Hardin or Jaanus or anybody else after that. So when you have twenty twenty twenty and we're all excited for your Russ. We really are included myself. There has to be a return on that investment. And so if I look at the playoffs. Yeah. It's it's easier for you to make the playoffs in it is for Matt Stafford it's easier for you to have a run back when you had Kevin Durant. Than it is for Matt. Stafford Calvin Johnson was great same difference. I look at the stats right now with Russell Westbrook. Russell Westbrook who is an NBA MVP. And I can't take that away. Basically gave him a reward for forty four win season. When it used to be the best player, and it has been a times the best player on the best team. If I put them side by side, and I see Russel Westbrook as a hall of Famer because of what he's done, and maybe that basketball might be a little bit easier to do that. And I know we got calls, and we'll get to this here in a moment. I look at Matt Stafford right now with the current yardage.
