They've had a fair amount of adversity. I don't know if they've had more adversity than other teams when you're really close to it like I think I've had this discussion with people because there's this There's this sense this feeling that The Brewers have suffered more injuries and I've had more bad things happen to them than other teams. They really haven't injuries have been really bad across baseball this year. Everybody's been dealing with it. But that being said the one thing we're not the one thing one of the many things about the Brewers is when they've got these when they got these injury issues. It doesn't really slowed them down the only one that slowed him down just a little bit. Just a little bit was when they had the Covid outbreak. There were a couple games in there. What you thought? You know what if they had a full bullpen, they probably would have won that game. But outside of that, and we're talking two games, two measly games. You think of everything that has happened throughout the year, especially since May 22nd. That's That's where we really start evaluating this team because that's when Willie Adama's arrived and the team became different when Willie Adama's got here since May 22nd No matter what's been thrown at this team. They've just been able to battle they were threatened. Now they don't even have, will you Domus at the moment, he has not played that much here over the past few weeks because he's been dealing with the quad and now all of a sudden he is on the injured list, so he's doing a little bit more activity. Hopefully he's going to be back sooner than later. He said the other day that He's probably not going to be able to return at 100%. But his goal is to going to be at 95%. And just just move forward and try to do his best to be able to kind of preserve that health, preserved the 95% and then go into the off season and go ahead and get healthy, But they just they take two out of three from a Phillies team without Willie Adama's and I've talked about this a lot. I talked about it during the ST Louis series. I talked about it during the Phillies series. One of the things that that always worries me when when those type of series get started is I've used this term. It's when the Games are not equally yoked. The games for the Cardinals and the Games for the Phillies meant more than those games meant for the Brewers. The Brewers are going to win this division. There's absolutely no doubt that the Brewers are going to win this division. The Cardinals and the Phillies are fighting that they are fighting for their playoff lives. He's somebody I like I like guys, who at one point where top level prospects because they don't become top level prospects for no reason. And Robertson When he was coming up. He was a top level prospect. He has not played to that level yet at the at the major league level, But there are guys who are his age there in the late twenties. He's 27 28 something like that. There are guys who have those breakthroughs at that age, right there in the late twenties, for whatever reason there late bloomers and I think more often than not When you have those late bloomers, guys are able to kind of stick around. And then finally Breakthrough. It's the guys who at one point in time were the top level prospects and for whatever reason that star faded a little bit from a brewer standpoint, it would be fantastic. If that happens with with Robertson, is there a chance that they still go out and make another move? Robert Murray baseball insider used to cover the Brewers for the athletic, He tweeted out just a little while ago. Brewer's still in play for free agent third basement Justin Turner, even after agreeing to deal with Colton Wong most view that Dodgers is the favorite for Turner, but the Brewers are interested. That's not what I want to be super optimistic about that, because when it's the Brewers and the Dodgers, we know which one of those teams has the ability to spend more money where the Brewers are able to sign guys in the same way. They got it. Yes, Money grand off a few years back. It's when the market is not there for somebody, and then they want to come to Milwaukee on a one year deal where they'll make a little bit more money than what they were gonna make anywhere else and try to reset the market for them going into the next year. If Turner has that exact same attitude. And the Dodgers are still interested in him. Can the Brewers actually offer him a little bit more money than the Dodgers To get that one year deal Or does he go back to the Dodgers on a one year deal for for whatever they're going to offer and try again? I do think it's interesting that Colton alongside the two year deal, and if I was, Ah, If I was somebody on the free agent market, who was young enough right now that I still had an opportunity to go cash in at some point, I think I probably just rather Get a two year contract as well, because not only is this offseason a really tough off season next off season has the potential to be incredibly tough because of the collective bargaining agreement and just everything's going to be up in the air. There's actually a letter that was sent this past week that was signed by a bunch of the mayors of the local municipalities throughout the Phoenix area to Major League Baseball on behalf of the Cactus League, asking That spring training be delayed a bit, but Basically right now it looks like they are in route to starting on time. The players don't want to take less money this year. You play less than 1 62 the undertaker try to get him to take less money from a collective bargaining standpoint, Major league Baseball doesn't have a whole lot of room to stand on right now. So I say all that to say this I think we're getting significantly closer to spring training getting under way, and I think there's a pretty good shot that things will get started on time, including the regular season and if they don't It will not be that much delayed. We'll just have to wait and see if we have big program coming up. Today. We are excited here in a few minutes were set to be joined by one of the newest members of the Brewers. Daniel Robertson, who's really going to go into spring training with an opportunity to compete and try to win that starting third base job. Lot of people talk about him is one of those guys that has the opportunity, the potential to really be a breakout kind of player later on in his career, we see that every once in a while, there's a few guys out there that We're prospects never really gained the traction that they wanted to gain and then they're into their late twenties and all of a sudden, for whatever reason, something clicks and there is certainly some hope that that could be Daniel Robertson. He got a major league deal. There's not a lot of major league deals out there right now. Things are picking up a little bit, but Daniel Robertson's gonna join us. She is been promoted as she becomes the model A kidding coordinator for the Brewers, the first woman to ever hold that position for a major league organization, which is, which is very cool and we'll talk about that a bit.
