"Home can be a home field advantage incredibly important when you talk about everything that goes into it. I know like pregame. The music that's being played is important for our players, because that brings a certain level of energy to it within the game. The more that our people can help get our fans involved in the game. I think it's Please. A bigger role than probably most people would even think about around the division today. The Bears match up against the Bengals in Chicago. While the Vikings they travel to Arizona to take on the Cardinals. The Sunday night game tonight will match up the Chiefs against the Ravens. The Milwaukee Brewers headed to the postseason for 1/4 straight year, they clinch a playoff berth. By defeating the Cubs yesterday by a 64 score. They also clinched that playoff berth thanks to the Reds and the Padres, losing after the game, the team choosing not to celebrate, that's because they are going to wait to celebrate until they win the division. We've been pretty consistent there, and we've put ability to win the division in our control, so that that's our goal. I think we're sticking to that goal work, thrilled to have Know that we're in the playoffs. I think everybody is thrilled with that. But, you know, I mean, I think the goal that we feel like we've had earned the right to to wait for is this winner division? That's manager Craig Counsell. Manny Pina, the offensive star for the Brewers. He hits two home runs starting pitcher Corbyn Burn, saying that Penis showed the ability To really impact the game tonight. Just, you know, perfect example of what money can do obviously doesn't doesn't play all but of every once out of every three or four days. But, yeah, I mean, the way he's been saying about lately and especially the second half its huge WalMart's gonna get a day off that back there. He's got the chance with one thing about to change the game and, uh, get to on runs tonight, and Eduardo Escobar and Jace Peterson also hitting home runs for the Brewers. Burns goes six innings, allowing three runs on six hits. The two teams will wrap up the series today on the mound for the Brewers. It is going to be Eric Lower. He is said to be opposed by Adrian Sampson. Our coverage will begin at 12 o'clock with Brewer's warm up around the L Central, specifically, one game and one team, the ST Louis Cardinals. They just keep winning games they knock off the Padres yesterday. By a three to score and the Cardinals now have a two game lead for the second wild card spot in the National League. "At me if you like at Matt Paulie on air M A T T p A U l E Y on air taking until nine o'clock this evening again live at Summerfest. If you are out and about stop on by wave will wave back well. Will share a moment together as you make your way from one show to another here at Summerfest. We've got a poll question. By the way, if you're on Twitter, Hop on, find my Twitter account. Find the WTMJ Twitter account mine at Matt Polly on air. Up in in honor in celebration of the Daniel will go back pinch it walk off Grand Slam this past week against the Cardinals. The question that I threw up What is the most exciting way to win a baseball game and I tried to come up with four. Very unlikely things and walk off Grand Slam is what is on there, as you might expect. I also went with a walk off home run, but that's robbed by an outfitter. So you know Lorenzo Cain taking one back over the wall to win the game that being the third out And if it goes over, it wins the game for the other team put in three bases loaded strikeouts. Now Twitter restricts your characters on answers to poll questions, so I thought on this on the three bases of strikeouts is it's a one run game. So the runner at third represents the tying run. The runner at second represents the go ahead run. No outs back to back to back, bases loaded. Strikeouts. I can't get all that information and the answer. But if you go vote now you can know that I was thinking about and then I think the rarest of all of them. I don't even know if and when this has ever happened in Major League baseball, a game ending triple play. How about that? That one. I'll tell you right now that's getting the least amount of votes. The most unlikely one to happen, getting the least amount of votes, so we'll revisit. This will discuss this coming up later on in the program. Bob tweeted back at me on it, and I really liked his thoughts on it, he said. The walk off Grand Slam is the only one that's purely positive. The other three are the sense of a relief after prior mistakes. That's a great point by Bob and I tried to When I went into this, I tried to think to from an offensive standpoint to from a fielding standpoint, But what's what's more excited than a walk off Grand Slam? There's maybe sometimes triples are really excited, or maybe an inside the park. Grant. I don't know. Maybe I should have gone with inside the park. But then which one do I take away? This is this is fun. So head to my Twitter account at Matt Paulie on air. Answer that question, And we will. Certainly I discussed that brewers are continuing to just find ways to win. It is Here's my word. What word? Am I about to use Greg Hill? What word is about to come out of my mouth. Bounce back. No. Oh, you know, you're smart. You're smart Know remarkable the words Remarkable world. Remarkable. Uh, there it is. Thank you. Remarkable. It is absolutely our word. What the brewers have been able to do They just Keep winning games. They are 31 games over 500 that ties a franchise record their lead in the division over the Cincinnati Reds 12 games They have never. They have never had a 12 game division lead in the 50 plus year history of the Milwaukee Brewers. I don't know what you say, and they're doing this. They've done it all year long. They've had a fair amount of adversity. I don't know if they've had more adversity than other teams when you're really close to it like I think I've had this discussion with people because there's this There's this sense this feeling that The Brewers have suffered more injuries and I've had more bad things happen to them than other teams. They really haven't injuries have been really bad across baseball this year. Everybody's been dealing with it. But that being said the one thing we're not the one thing one of the many things about the Brewers is when they've got these when they got these injury issues. It doesn't really slowed them down the only one that slowed him down just a little bit. Just a little bit was when they had the Covid outbreak. There were a couple games in there. What you thought? You know what if they had a full bullpen, they probably would have won that game. I think there was two games like that if I remember correctly where you kind of said Okay, this is, uh, this is a covid loss right here. But outside of that, and we're talking two games, two measly games. You think of everything that has happened throughout the year, especially since May 22nd. That's That's where we really start evaluating this team because that's when Willie Adama's arrived and the team became different when Willie Adama's got here since May 22nd No matter what's been thrown at this team. They've just been able to battle they were threatened. Now they don't even have, will you Domus at the moment, he has not played that much here over the past few weeks because he's been dealing with the quad and now all of a sudden he is on the injured list, so he's doing a little bit more activity. Hopefully he's going to be back sooner than later. He said the other day that He's probably not going to be able to return at 100%. But his goal is to going to be at 95%. And just just move forward and try to do his best to be able to kind of preserve that health, preserved the 95% and then go into the off season and go ahead and get healthy, But they just they take two out of three from a Phillies team without Willie Adama's and I've talked about this a lot. I talked about it during the ST Louis series. I talked about it during the Phillies series. One of the things that that always worries me when when those type of series get started is I've used this term. It's when the Games are not equally yoked. The games for the Cardinals and the Games for the Phillies meant more than those games meant for the Brewers. The Brewers are going to win this division. There's absolutely no doubt that the Brewers are going to win this division. The Cardinals and the Phillies are fighting that they are fighting for their playoff lives. So those games meant so much more to the Phillies and the Cardinals. Yet what happens, the Brewers just find a way to win. It's It's incredible. It's remarkable. It's fun, and it's a really special team, and it's very enjoyable to watch. If you wanna join us. You can do so.

Bob Willie Adama Greg Hill Lorenzo Cain May 22nd 100% 12 games Cardinals 31 games Matt Polly 95% Phillies Cincinnati Reds two games 12 game Matt Paulie Daniel two 50 plus year two measly games

"I hope you didn't park your car and left field swing a high towering drive to left way back and gone into the Miller Lite beer pen up above the Brewers Pen and a two run shot from Avi Garcia, his 25th of the season. We say Yo Garcia nearly hits that one out of the ballpark is the Brewers bounced back in a big way against the Phillies. Brewers were winless against Philadelphia this year and lost 12 Nothing. On Monday, they returned the favor with a 10. Nothing when something starting pitcher Eric Lower says, felt good. It was definitely nice, especially after yesterday to be able to jump on him a little bit. I mean, it's the cool thing about baseball is every day is its own day and every pitch in its own pitch, so you always throw the next one and can't look at the past too long. Milwaukee is just one in five against the Phillies this year, a team they could potentially see in the postseason, but Willie Adama's has yet to appear in a game. Against them this season. It's a fact not lost in the quarterback and his teammates as they continue to prepare for week one. So I think everybody just focusing on This year and the guys that we got, and I think there's a consensus that we got really good opportunity to put ourselves in that position again, like we have been the last couple years, So there's a lot of positivity around around the squad. Obviously, we're bringing back most of the guys from last year, added Randall Cobb to the mix. Um you know, so what you feel really good about about our team. We got to get through the first six. It looks like without You know, Another friend of the show does big of a friend is Maybe me But David Bachtiar who I'm a better gift. Er, you know as we Yeah. Golf cart was awesome. The Wisconsin Badgers already turning the page on Saturday's loss to Penn State. Those areas we've got to improve upon, and, uh that's gonna be the focus. This week, and then there's some things that Individuals. Groups did well and got to build on that, but We're excited to get back and preparing for Eastern Michigan that is head coach Paul Chris. The Badgers do host Eastern Michigan at Camp Randall Stadium on Saturday night. Six P.m. kickoff Gene, You brought this up before the show to me this morning. It's a weird kick off time for the Badgers against the street, Eastern Michigan and we were trying to parse it together in pieces together as to why they would play this in a prime time game. There's two rationalizations number one would be. They just want to give the kids more time to get lubed up for the first time in two years, right? Lord knows they need that. Exactly, But I think the second more practical reason would be. There are other big 10 games going on throughout the day, the biggest of which Ohio State is hosting Oregon. At 11 A.m., which is equally puzzling to me, because that means the Oregon kids are basically basically going to play that game at nine a.m. their time right, like they're just going to stand from Friday night. Very bizarre, so I would pick Ohio State in the points in that one, because I just you know, I knew that with NFL games to whenever you see a West Coast team playing a noon game on the East Coast They always seem to come out sluggish for some reason, So that's that's I think the reason they may have kicked back to kick off for this badger game by 48 at Wtmj is.

"One call that's all sports test. Here's Brian D. That could be it for the Milwaukee Bucks in a game they led by as many as 17 points. The box offense and defense suffered a second half let down in a 1 14 went away lost to the Brooklyn Nets. The Nets dug into the box. 16 point halftime lead shaving 10 points off in the third quarter alone. Said coach Mike Budenholzer. We had a good first three quarters, you know, stalled out a little bit offensively in the forest, so we got to be better executed down the stretch, trailing 1917 with 45 seconds left a rare Kevin Durant, miss. Give the box a chance to tie, But Janice fumbled the ball, negating an easy dunk attempt. Durant was followed, knocked down both of his free throws and essentially ended the game. Pragmatic WTMJ sports. Yannis led the box with 34 points but was completely overshadowed by a miraculous performance from Kevin Durant. He's the best. He's the best player in the world right now, and we gotta we gotta beat him as a team. We got a garden as a team. We've got to make him make tough shots, like slight. Uh And we just gotta keep doing our job and hopefully like, hopefully it's gonna miss 49 points. 17 rebounds, 10 assists from the former Every plea, Jean he played all 48 minutes last night. I know I'm using this term a lot. But hope is not a strategy. Can't hope the guy is going to miss you make somebody else shoot You ready for a strategy that hasn't been employed yet. How about put your former defensive player of the year Yannis and did a Google on Kevin Durant something we haven't seen all series long? Yeah, That's amazing How that how that How does that not happen? It's a big time indictment on a guy that might be out of the job soon for what it's worth in baseball. Bruce Feiler heads to the one intended in Cincinnati does not record a hit the extra frames still able to score two runs, though. Despite the law spread, Henderson has a lot tone for him growing seven shutout innings. According to Statcast. Anderson throws six different types of pitches. He faces only 23 batters, which is just too over the minimum for seven innings. Manager Craig Counsell is impressed. She just X Executed a whole bunch of pitches and there was a Christmas to it. I mean, everything was good curveball, Changeup, little color. I mean sinker. So there was really pitching clinic. I mean, that's that's as good a performance as we've seen this year. "Used so much so much annoyingly so much going into the season was bounced back. That was the word we used over and over and over. When you look at the guys that we talked about, Ah, lot of those guys. They're having those bounce back seasons. Avisail Garcia is absolutely having Compounce back season. There you go, Greg hitting the ding, your light ups, manager Insights and a preview of tonight's game. Came right now. This is Brewer's warm up. Here's Matt Bali. What a day we've had today. Here on Wtmj. Also on our sister station, 94 5, ESPN three games between the Brewers in the bubble, We hope We hope three games between the Brewers in the box and attempted three games between the Brewers in the box. We've gotten two of them in and both victories. Bucks were able to finish off the Miami heat and four the Brewers earlier day they knock off Washington by a 41 score, and now they're looking for a doubleheader sweep tonight. Let's talk a little bit about the weather, because that's what a lot of people are keeping their eye on. They really It was kind of spitting and drizzling and doing stuff like that during the first game. But they were able to get through. They were able to get through it. And that was that was good. Now the question is, Can they get through the second game? That is a very good question. When you take a look at the radar I'm not a meteorologist. I don't play one on the radio. All I can do is bring up the weather dot com app and press play on the radar, and especially when it's got the projected times and tell you when the green stuff is on top of the area where they're trying to play baseball game. So I could tell you that that green stuff it gets over the Nationals ballpark but seven o'clock central time. That's that's the projection as it is right now. Hey, you never know it could go North. Could go south. It could break up. Whether does weird, funky things, but we might We might be in for a long evening together here on WTMJ, and that's OK. That's OK. We've had a long day. We're ready to have a long evening and we'll see if the Brewers cannot pull off the doubleheader sweep today. Of the Washington Nationals. Goodwin Goodwin in that first game in case you were completely locked in on what happened with the Bucks game. We will kind of go back through exactly what happened in this first game of our Brewers doubleheader coming up in our next segment. I'll take you till about 5 30 a little bit after And then our network coverage is set to begin in five of 40 different timing Tonight. It is a national TV game. That was another thing about all this so They did this split doubleheader. You know, the day night doubleheader. Part of that was because it is a national TV game tonight. They had to play the first game early enough. That hopefully it would not go so long that it would infringe on the national TV window this evening, so there's been There's been a lot going on, and yeah, they were able to get in the game. That's the most. That's the most important thing. Little history. We're gonna have a history lesson later on this half hour before we take the news at five o'clock based off some things that happened in the game. Today, the starting lineup is out and Christian knowledge is not in the line up. A lot of people are kind of wonder about that on everyday basis. I don't think there was ever going to be the expectation that he would be in the lineup for the second game, having to play two games as he continues to come back from the back issue. Certainly that is something that would not be preferable. So that is the way the lineup is set for game number two. There is no there's no Christian knowledge and we'll see whether or not he actually gets into the game or not hit a triple in the first game by the way, brewers hit for the cycle. Not any individual. The Brewers hit for the cycle. They had four hits in the first game, a single a double a triple at home run. So the Brewers hit for the team cycle, and that was it. There's there's some historic nature to that as well. But how often that has happened in the history of the organization, so we will death certainly discuss that. Coming up later on in the program as well, if you want to chime in 85561616 28 5561616 20 that is the accurate mortgage talking tax line. And I think I think we're going to get this one started. I would be relatively surprised if we are able to See it played without some sort of delay, although to be to be fair. I've never won that when I'm wrong. I'm never one that's runs away from the fact that I could be wrong on things I would have said the exact same thing. About game number one that I thought it some point in time there was going to be a delay and there wasn't so I was wrong about that time. But let's hope I'm wrong about this. And the Brewers can play this second game of the twin bill today and be in good shape going into the Syriza finale coming up tomorrow afternoon again. "Know they took all three against San Diego when they were in San Diego recently see what kind of success they can have against the Padres in Milwaukee that that's a Padres team that's playing better now. Then they were when they played on the first time, and it was also kind of. I think of traps Erie's for San Diego because they've been playing. The Dodgers are right in that same time frame, And you don't know if they'd elect down or whatever it might be. But I think I'm not trying to overstate things When I think today's a really important game for this team. Just try to get out of this funk that they've been in in the month of May. If they can win this game today, they take the Syriza and you feel like they have some mo mentum. And maybe, just maybe they've put this off funk that they've been in recently behind them. Have a question yesterday. Area brewers extra innings that that I never got to and It's connected to what? What? Really? What? What? What can will you Thomas really do for this team to go? The team goes out in a choir. Um, And for some, I think the acquisition of William Thomas is Maura about Luisa Arias wasn't playing good playing well, and he they just wanted to find somebody. I think it's more than that. The team will tell you that they've been in discussions with the race for a while about him. I've got no reason to believe that That's not true, but I think this is a whole lot more than Louise Arrius had committed four errors in two games, and they had made the decision to move on from him from their starting shortstop. I think you could take a step back and look at it from a broader perspective, and I'll explain why in just a moment against the Brewers and the Reds, wrapping up a three game series today you want to join us. "Of social media. Your information station is wtmj. Kevin well, citing unlimited WTMJ news time coming up on 8 10 on the field inside the clubhouse. Everything in between. This is Brewer's weekly. Why, from the Annex Wealth Management studios at Radio City Here's Mack Holling. We have quite a show tonight. We'll just tell you in about five minutes. Jordan Zimmerman is going to join us. Newest Brewers pitcher Mildly contract invite to spring training, He'll try to Ah Make the club join the rotation. Guy says he has a lot left in the tank. And if he if he looks anything like who he was in Washington, my goodness that Zbig addition for the Brewers. He's been battling some injuries the last few years. The numbers have not been is good with the with the tiger, so we'll talk with him coming up in just a few minutes. Ryan Braun spoke with Adama Calvi of brewers dot com this past week says right now he has no intention of plane. But he is continuing to stay in shape. What does that mean? What does that mean? I'll tell you what I think it means we'll do that coming up later on the hour, we'll talk about in game video. It is coming back in a way, if you remember if you have followed along through everything that's happened. And this in this world we live in sometimes two areas kind of collide and with the end game video and Major League baseball It was a case of covert protocols and the reaction to the Astros cheating scandal colliding when they closed down all the video rooms because you already had the scandal and Major league Baseball was trying to make sure that there was no funny business going on with the video, and then you don't want people congregating in these video rooms together. When you got Cove it going strong. So last year, there was no in game video. When hitters got done with that bats. There was no way for them to go Look at the video, and you might not think it's a big deal and kind on the surface level. I understand what people don't think It's a big deal. Let me tell you That's a big deal. It's a really big deal. Ah lot of hitters and major League baseball heavily rely on the end game video and it was not coming to them during during the season this past year and Often ill. I've said this statistic nine million times since the season ended, the Brewers just had their worst season hitting ever worst season ever worst team batting average ever. And they were second in the National League Central in here. It is. It is one of the most astounding statistics that I've ever seen in my years of being around baseball, and there are a lot of reasons that that's true. But one of those reasons, absolutely, was the not having video anymore. In game video going to be back in a way, although video rooms will not be back. Explain that coming up later on in the hour as well, if you want to join us, you can always do so. 85561616 22 take 5561616 20 That is the accident. "The Rick Adelman show Saturday from 11 A.m. to noon. Right here on 6:20 A.m. wtmj. No time for an update from the grouper law offices. One call that's all sports Dad. Here's Nick Bandwagon and tough loss for the Bucks in Phoenix Wednesday night, down, one with 2.8 seconds on the clock, Yonas missed the would be game winning shot from just beyond the free throw line. Many are noticing sharpshooter Chris Middleton wide open in the corner with a potential open look. In the suit. That's a million times. I think he actually had a game winner a couple years ago in New York. Same area step back, So there's nothing new for me for him to take a pull up for a game and shot like that. Next up for the boxes, the Jazz and Salt Lake City last time they won their 2001. Wisconsin native Jordan. Zimmerman, recently into a new mine early contract with an invite to camp says he's excited for a chance to play for his home team. Yeah, I'm excited. The place has thought about my whole career, maybe touching the year two at we're going to spring with them, So I'm pretty excited about that. Zimmerman will join Brewers weekly host Matt Paulie tonight at eight o'clock. Fresh off a nod to the NFL Hall of Fame. Former Packers cornerback Charles Woodson hopes to one day be joined by another member of the green and gold. Laroy Butler. Leroy was was a great player, man for a long time. And so I definitely expect that you're gonna be in there sometime soon. Woodson was a guest on Will the intelligent 94 5, ESPN Milwaukee this morning? It really is flabbergasting, John why Butler hasn't been voted in yet. John Lynch. To put it in perspective he got in this year. Let's compare the number Shall we interceptions, Butler had 36 toe Lynch's 24 sacks. Butler had 20.5 to Lynch's 13 defensive touchdowns. Butler had three. Lynch never scored a point. All Pro nods. Butler had four Lynch had to. It's inexplicable from my perspective. Why Laroy Butler is not in the Hall of Fame. You know, it's a popularity contest. I mean, John Lynch is very popular. He's been a successful general manager. I'm with you the right butler has to be in there, but John Lynch is likable, high profile. There are a lot of people who are saying that it was John Lynch is a 3rd 9th time on the ballot, and it was only the Roy Butler second, so that could play into it. But Just based on those numbers. I mean, those aren't even close. He's got to get in. Eventually, his time's got to be coming, right? He will. It just feels like it's a lot of politics and somebody's turn is up. It shouldn't be turns. It should be. Whoever deserves to get in. Should be in up next. What if there was a stretch of road? About three miles or so, and it had four different names. Port of her name's. It's true here in Milwaukee will explore explain it next. Hey, there, folks. "So the Brewers get Colton long this past week again. Reported. They have not confirmed the signing. I'm sure he's got to go through his physical, which you would think would be no problem to your deals. Third year option on that deal as well. And the Brewers improving a lot of areas they improve second base defense they improve with they're bad at second base, and they improve their bat at first base is well S O. I think there's a lot of areas that kind of you check some boxes off with the acquisition of Colton Wong. I'm not. There's still question marks about this team. There are still question marks about this team. But this is one of the first big questions to be answered so far here in the off season 85561616 28 5561616 20 yanking it. Mortgage talk and text line. You can also tweet at me at Matt. Paulie on Aaron may t t p A U l E Y on air Let's go to Duggan Bear. Boo has given us call You dug your own wtmj. Yeah. Good evening that say, I think it's a great acquisition with long, You know, he's always been a thorn in our side. With the Cardinals coming. The Miller Park was a 308 batting average in the He needs 50. P s and Okay. I guess 15% of his home runs of his lifetime have been in Miller Park. But I had a question. I was trying to find out if it you know, Has anybody from the Brewers said he would be going on. I'm gonna get back that here and now I'm getting excited. But here Then why said he would be going over that just speculation And if so, did you see anywhere? Where he Yura has ever played first base, like in high school or college. You're the miners or any at any time. Yes, sir. The Brewers can't comment on here yet BR Excuse me on on this move yet because it's not officially done. Look, everybody saying that's gonna be here over the first and the Brewers did before this move was made. David Stern's was quoted as saying that if they needed to move testing here the first that is something they could do now. That's All the times a forehand Whenever you've heard him talk. The idea of him moving to first base has never been something. They've even acknowledged that clearly they were deep into negotiations with Wong when Stern's made those comments, so it's I do think it's a It's a safe bet. I'm looking at his numbers right now to see he between I don't I can't speak the high school, Doug But I can speak to is college baseball. U C. Irvine. I can speak to what he did in the West Coast League. I think that summer collegiate baseball, he has never appeared at first base. Okay? Yeah, that Zoe Hey, Speaking of his college on a lighter note, the University of California, Irvine. They're the Anteaters. Yeah. That's a weird It's a weird name. Anyway. Yeah. Look, that's one that looked like it was solidifying the infield. We get the third baseman in the nice guy you talked to last week. Uh, you know, maybe maybe he'll be the guy, Iet's Yeah, Maybe I appreciate phone call Doug. And for those who are one, sir what Doug was referencing last week. We had Daniel Robertson on the program. He's one of the newest brewers and, um, look, He's a question mark at third base, and there's no his overall career numbers. Don't tell you that he's going to come in and be the everyday third baseman. I love his attitude on. He's somebody I like I like guys, who at one point where top level prospects because they don't become top level prospects for no reason. And Robertson When he was coming up. He was a top level prospect. He has not played to that level yet at the at the major league level, But there are guys who are his age there in the late twenties. He's 27 28 something like that. There are guys who have those breakthroughs at that age, right there in the late twenties, for whatever reason there late bloomers and I think more often than not When you have those late bloomers, guys are able to kind of stick around. And then finally Breakthrough. It's the guys who at one point in time were the top level prospects and for whatever reason that star faded a little bit from a brewer standpoint, it would be fantastic. If that happens with with Robertson, is there a chance that they still go out and make another move? Robert Murray baseball insider used to cover the Brewers for the athletic, He tweeted out just a little while ago. Brewer's still in play for free agent third basement Justin Turner, even after agreeing to deal with Colton Wong most view that Dodgers is the favorite for Turner, but the Brewers are interested. That's not what I want to be super optimistic about that, because when it's the Brewers and the Dodgers, we know which one of those teams has the ability to spend more money where the Brewers are able to sign guys in the same way. They got it. Yes, Money grand off a few years back. It's when the market is not there for somebody, and then they want to come to Milwaukee on a one year deal where they'll make a little bit more money than what they were gonna make anywhere else and try to reset the market for them going into the next year. If Turner has that exact same attitude. And the Dodgers are still interested in him. Can the Brewers actually offer him a little bit more money than the Dodgers To get that one year deal Or does he go back to the Dodgers on a one year deal for for whatever they're going to offer and try again? I do think it's interesting that Colton alongside the two year deal, and if I was, Ah, If I was somebody on the free agent market, who was young enough right now that I still had an opportunity to go cash in at some point, I think I probably just rather Get a two year contract as well, because not only is this offseason a really tough off season next off season has the potential to be incredibly tough because of the collective bargaining agreement and just everything's going to be up in the air. So from Wong's perspective Hopefully for him from him. He's not back onto the market until things start to kind of normalize and stabilized Once again. 85561616 28 5561616 20 that is the accurate mortgage talking tax line. "This is Brewer's weekly. Why, from the annex Welcome Manifest studios at Radio City. Here's Mack Cali. A good Thursday evening to you welcome into the show and hours worth of Brewers talk. Nothing like talking about baseball when it's 12 degrees outside, But that's OK. We're getting closer and closer to spring training. I guess we don't technically know when things get started. But still everything is on pace for an on time start. There's actually a letter that was sent this past week that was signed by a bunch of the mayors of the local municipalities throughout the Phoenix area to Major League Baseball on behalf of the Cactus League, asking That spring training be delayed a bit, but Basically right now it looks like they are in route to starting on time. The players don't want to take less money this year. You play less than 1 62 the undertaker try to get him to take less money from a collective bargaining standpoint, Major league Baseball doesn't have a whole lot of room to stand on right now. So I say all that to say this I think we're getting significantly closer to spring training getting under way, and I think there's a pretty good shot that things will get started on time, including the regular season and if they don't It will not be that much delayed. We'll just have to wait and see if we have big program coming up. Today. We are excited here in a few minutes were set to be joined by one of the newest members of the Brewers. Daniel Robertson, who's really going to go into spring training with an opportunity to compete and try to win that starting third base job. Lot of people talk about him is one of those guys that has the opportunity, the potential to really be a breakout kind of player later on in his career, we see that every once in a while, there's a few guys out there that We're prospects never really gained the traction that they wanted to gain and then they're into their late twenties and all of a sudden, for whatever reason, something clicks and there is certainly some hope that that could be Daniel Robertson. He got a major league deal. There's not a lot of major league deals out there right now. Things are picking up a little bit, but Daniel Robertson's gonna join us. And just a few moments also, Oh, we're gonna talk about Sarah. Good room. She is been promoted as she becomes the model A kidding coordinator for the Brewers, the first woman to ever hold that position for a major league organization, which is, which is very cool and we'll talk about that a bit. We'll talk about Blaine Hardy signing make it into that Cactus League stuff. A little bit of well. There were some allegations that Major league Baseball actually encouraged the Cactus League and those respective mayors and city leaders to write that letter. Everybody is denying that that's the case. But there's a little bit of a conspiracy theory going along with that right now. And who knows what is true and what is not true.
