"Of the way I do it at least is, did you play enough games? Yes. Did your team win enough games where you over 500? Yes. Did you win the minutes where you were on the floor? Yes, by how much was it enough for it to be significant? Because like John morant and Luka Dončić are both like plus 3.43 .8. It's not enough. Like joker's at 8 at plus 8. He jumped over Giannis over the weekend. All these things kind of factor in. And so what you kind of come down to at the end of the day, honestly, a lot of this, this would be my biggest pushback on you. Giannis in the early season was without Chris and was without drew and was I without Brooke. And that was a hard environment. I really was. And they still managed to be around 500 and hang and the nuggets were under 500 for a little bit. And that deserves some consideration too. But ultimately like Giannis early performance wasn't nearly as awe inspiring as his middle and late season, much the way with Luca. And Tatum. And so absolutely I would agree with you. Defensively, I'm a little bit less sold on that. So let me go ahead and I'll break this down. I understand your point then nonetheless. I want to make the Joker defensive argument real quick. Yeah. Okay. The metrics work against him, which is really obnoxious. He's first a defensive box plus minus. And so everyone goes, well, that's stupid. You can't use that. And there's almost like a reverse effect here. Again, with the cognitive dissonance. Yeah. I totally agree with you. It is actually very unfair. Like Joker can't be the best offensive player in the league. And then it becomes, he's not even a good defensive player, and I'm like, I'm here to tell you, as somebody that laughed at him as my co host on locked on nuggets. Three years ago, he said, I think nikole yogurts can be as good of a defender in pick and roll coverage specifically as Mark Gasol..

"I don't know that I've ever worked this hard to find an argument for a guy. 'cause usually I'm pretty much like, well, no, I don't think he's there. But in part, just because the conversation gets to be so toxic, I was like, I want to do, I don't want that to influence my thing here. I want to really dig to try and find what the argument is. The most sound argument for him and this is currently still possible for him to reclaim with the sixers tied in the standings of the box after the bucks lost to the Mavericks on Sunday. Is of the three major candidates, Joel embiid has legal league in scoring is a defensive monster is hugely impactful just in terms of if you can't do anything with them, has become a much better passer, especially a double teams. That was always my knock on him. He's doing great at that. He works really well with harden. He's still the season a good mid range shooter last year. He was a great mid range shooter, fall a little bit there. But mostly it becomes trying to rebounds, not historic, just a lot of rebounds. Lazy leg and scoring for the team with the best record amongst the leading three candidates. That's like the best summation of the argument is legally scoring for the team with the best record of the three candidates. That to me is just not enough. The sixers have a lot of reasons. For their success, none bigger than Joelle. The team still really good..

"He has had a truly exceptional last month and a half where I think I'll raise my hand. I think he's been the best player in the league for the last month and a half. If we're being completely honest with it, but you know what? That first couple of months where he was working his way back into shape, where there was clearly some adjustment with working with the new coach and Jason Kidd. It feels like that should push him down just a level to where he's in the conversation for again for C mall NBA, not necessarily MVP. I got bullied into picking him for first email NBA by Mavs fans and credit to them for just hammering me with data and arguments and all these things and like, okay, I was like, all right, you know what? You got a point. You're right. Look at first of all, MBA. And if he had you're right, if he had played the way that he has or the last 50 games, the entire season, he'd be there. There's a popular thing with mass fans and be like, well, look at the production in November. And I'm like, okay, let's see the shooting splits. And this is the whole thing. It's just like Lucas hasn't been and insanely efficient shooter the entire season. That just hasn't been who he is. He's not going to be that because he's basically he's James Harden in Houston. That's what they've done. And that's it. I argued for harden. I voted harden in 2017. And if Luca does, what he's done over this last 40 games ish when they really started to evolve towards the heliocentrism. If he does that next year, the whole way, I'm going to be like, if Luka Dončić, there's no question. No question. I would say he's been the second best player over the last month. I great that he beat you honest yesterday, but Yanis has done what Yanis has done over the last month in the big game situations that he has. That to me matters. That's been ridiculous. He's put on, I said this morning on Twitter, I try and fight recency bias very hard and yaws as recent games have made that very difficult because of what he's done. But with Luca, he's the entire engine. He's the entire offense. He generates all of his offense all on his own. He has been a better defender this year. He made real efforts this year on the defense ends. We'll see if that holds up next season. He came into the season as the MVP favorite. There was an expectation for him. I did a preseason straw poll, and he was expected to be among the top three guys at the end of the season. There's a lot of voters that thought that he was going to be there. He has, he has a real, again, we talk about people wanting to vote for him. Everyone's ready to anoint Luca. Like everyone's there. Everyone's ready for it. He's going to get there. And I think he will. I think next year he's probably, as soon as the market opens, I'll be betting Luka Dončić for MVP. I will be betting that number because I think it's probably going to be plus two 50 or better, and there's a value on that, even that far out. But I'm sorry, you got to be in shape to be an MBA player. I don't have to. That's why I do this. You got to be in shape when you come in, man..

"Now, I do want to speak very quickly before we dive into the other three about some of the other MVP candidates because I do find it interesting that there seems to be like a bubbling case for a couple of guys, like everyone wants to push Devin Booker into this conversation. And I love Devin Booker. I think he, I think that these arguments are more first female and MVP comparatively to the other three guys, unfortunately. Yeah, I think the top part here, again, if you have a framework, I'm okay with it. We can disagree, but then it's not like, all right, your argument is bad. As long as you have a good argument, then this stuff is arbitrary, and if I was valuable, if you're all starting thing is like, you have to be one of the best teams in the league. And record wise, your team has to have one at the top, whatever you made the cut off, top two top seed in the conference, whatever. Best record in the league. It's got to be the best team in the league, whatever. It's got to be that guy, and he's got to have a good amount of production. Okay. The problem is when you start really diving into this and you ask the questions, what's really gotten with me is that I can we can look at the numbers, right? And there's always a pushback on the stats thing. For me, it's more of the stats are not what it's about. The stats are an indicator of what you contributed. Yeah. And the question is, did you contribute so much that you drove winning more than anything else? And what the sons, I don't wind up being like, man, without Devin Booker, that team would have been, you know, whatever, or even that's not even the framework that I particularly like, which is, you know, it's because of Devin Booker that they're so good. That's not where I get to. When I watch the sons, I'm just like, this is the.

"Now in retrospect, it was pretty good because you got like a lot of guys on that team that you're like, oh, those are actually pretty good NBA players. But like Westbrook's Westbrook's team was way worse than hardens at the time and in terms of where we're at with the analysis. And I was just like, I'm not going to punish James because he's got a better team. That doesn't make any sense. You're supposed to have the better team. Like you should have a good team. And you should make your team your teammates look good. You should make your teammates look awesome because you raise them up so much. And so the contextualization of all this stuff gets really difficult and that's before we throw in the complexities of Ben Simmons was out and embiid had to navigate that, but Simmons wasn't out with an injury and they wound up getting hardened and also be played a part in the hustle Simmons thing. Like that just gets really messy. This has been a message year for multiple reasons. Yeah, and I think that let's talk about the contextual factors in general, a little bit more like the Joel thing is really interesting because that could have gone one of two ways, right? Actually, it could have gone one of like 45 ways. But I think that realistically it could have gone one of two ways with Ben. In the preseason, as this entire thing is happening, right? Ben decides not to show up and he claims mental health concerns, which I'm sure valid and he claims injury and rehab and many different things throughout the course of the season felt like. And Joel could have decided, oh, you know what? Fuck this guy. This guy is never been a competitor. Like he's never been the guy I want to ride with. I think there's something to the fact that he stayed quiet. They played this about as well as they possibly could have. If he comes out and says like, oh yeah, like I hated dealing with Ben Simmons throughout the course of the year. Or says anything like remotely negative, they probably don't get James Harden for Ben Simmons, like it feels like that was a possibility because of how Joel handled it..

"I think you know, that's that seems to be the consensus from other GM's but then you have the other GMS like I've had this other this conversation with with Executives and said a lawyer willing to get with this guy. I mean, we really liked him like we will include it and we'll talk about it. But the returns going to be really high. Okay. Well that this guy who same deal. It's like do you want to upgrade the team or do you not like that has a decision that you make but I also think that there's a lot that goes into this in terms of the perceptions to write like losing a trade is is a real killer for for GM. That's a that's a real killer and it gets you destroyed in the media most especially and that impacts and that stuff does get to ownership now I think changes in shame because I don't think that like Danny's Song Much success like Angels had so much success. Why would he be as concerned about it? Like it should just be you know, does this make the team into what you think it does? However, I could also understand if it's like well look, I think Aaron Gordon makes this team better, but I don't think he makes as a championship Contender, right? I think that's a fair assessment. Right? And so you're like, why am I going to give up these assets when I need like I don't need to give up these ads for Aaron Gordon. I need to get Aaron Gordon to go with these assets. It will go with these other players. Yeah, that's a problem. That seems have is like am I just is it a net net neutral for me. If I give them a good players that helped us in exchange for a player that I think it helped us more but it winds up washing out what have I really done except give up draft equity. And so that I think is where this becomes complicated and you'll just again the context of the season that's one thing. I've heard consistently from people around the league is just this is a hard season to try and make sense of anything. How do you make sense of any of this because dead You have covid-19..

"That and this year's then took the opposite of that you bring in Gordon and this is a team that needs help offensively when one of the Jays is on the bench and defensively this year. They are a mess and it's been the same weirdest. I think part of this season for me watching Boston is watching a team that just doesn't have it at all defensively after so many years and so much data of that being a top-tier defensive team year-in year-out dog. By the purse it out near opinion matches is Gordon coming to Boston impact them more on the offensive or defensive. Somebody has the more on the defensive side of the ball. There are certain situations where he's not able to but he's not able to guard one through five. He had troubles last two years in the playoffs was certain matchups, but he is a very good Defender like he is a I would I would definitely put him, you know, percentile up defensively. I do think that offensive lie. It's going to be kind of interesting because the problem with Gordon is his inconsistency and Celtics fans might be frustrated with that that some nights off, you know, he's going to have twenty-three and and 6 and then the next night. He'll have 12:00 and 4 and that kind of variances going to be I think a little bit distressing the fact they should be 40% from 3 is a big step forward. You want to see the consistency going forward think that's an issue. My biggest concern honestly is about mentality. Gordon has never adapted to the role that he would be best at which is essentially a Shawn Marion type of role where he fills in the gaps. He plays defense. He's a passer. He finishes plays when they play off of him when they're forced to because of the gravity of the other players and the floor. He doesn't fill in the gaps. He doesn't bring the room together instead. He kind of wants to be a star he wants to be closer to Kawhi Leonard and I don't think he's really capable of that. And so one question that I would have if I were a boss and is is Aaron Gordon willing to sacrifice with the way the Tatum and brown are top-flight All-Star offensive options, especially the way the jail is I think that gets a little concerning and then you gotta think about Kemba Walker and the best way to use him Kim is not a pure point, you know, he's a good passer. He's a really good passer, but he's not a pure point and he's obviously, you know struggling wage. S physical stuff this season, but he's also going to want to get his touches and this points and so I would have some concerns about what Gordon sees is his role on the Celtics. I think those are conversation of the boss and needs to have before they were to make a deal for Gordon..

"They put out something with regard to that's the beauty of all this stuff. It's like the Celtics if there's if there's a guy a big guy available to Celtics are automatically going to be linked to him. Whether it's Gordon Fournier or obviously box John Collins in Bogdan bogdanovic who Celtics have also long been linked to going back to when he was still with Sacramento and they had put out the report the Celtics might be in pursuit of one or both of those dead. But again, like you just brought up reticent to give up Marcus Smart. So, you know, I tweeted out a little while before we came on. Its I'm just sort of at that point with Celtics fans and I am a Celtics fan wearing, you know, you a segment of Celtics fans saying, you know, Danny Ainge better make a trade and turn this team into a contender but then those same people or different people but still Celtics fans saying but you don't Danny better not trade Tatum or brown or Robert Williams or Marcus Smart or anybody of any remote value, you know, just screaming it from the rooftops in a certain point. You gotta give and I'm not saying You Gotta Give with regard to age brown or Tatum like to me those guys are Untouchable. I don't think most people would disagree with that statement and I have long viewed Marcus Smart as being awfully damn close to that category from what he brings this team. What his contract is the defensive presence the you know dominance on that side of the ball obviously heart and soul de facto Captain so many different things. We've spent a lot of time talking about with regard to Marcus wage. But I put out a poll on Twitter Tides turn man tide has turned people who voted at least into a large sample would rather deal Marcus Smart now than Robert Williams and it all just goes back to you know, my my boss grantier my long winding story of to get something of value. You have to give something up a value or the Celtics at a point where save for pics and obviously the TB they are still off just refusing to give up anything of real value in terms of personnel. I think everyone is trying to deal from a position of strength, right and I don't necessarily think that I think there have been a history and the Celtics have benefited from this of teams giving up too much right like the net steel you want. You never want to be on the end of a lopsided trade where you go all in for something and it doesn't work..

What if he came to Kansas City was going crazy here and he said all rings on all fingers and look good Kansas City for Levy Bell? Now no but it's really nice nice to see all these players showing interest and come into Kansas City. Everybody wants to be a part of this. This is a dynasty. This is a dying so that we have going on here in Kansas City. But how did that feel Chris here. In Lebanon Bill really had interest in one day. Cody come to Kansas City. Outside of our salary cap outside of breath. What's best for chiefs King Future? You know how does that make you feel that. She's Fantino a player like that's dying to get an a Red Jersey. Honestly he kind of goes back what we're talking about a hypothetically speaking each great to hear that these good players players want to come to Kansas City because like you were just saying it shows that everybody around the League sees sees what we are building. What we're about they want to come and play for Andy Reid? They want to come play with Cheetah they went to complete with the future. Greatest of all time. Patrick mahomes are in the RTP our future VP's he's future super bowl. MVP's Oh yes. And they wanted to be a part of this dynasty that we are building they want to help took built not so much the foundation but help build what we have moving forward right and look this. This is something in Kansas City that they were not really used to you know and my lifetime. Maybe in the nineties but in really see much. Because I didn't have the back end on the chief's like I do now. I I was a kid. Obviously all I saw was what was on TV. But you look at what's going on. Everybody wants to be a part of this franchise and that's something on Special Kansas City and I don't want us to lose grip on that. So Chris Please tell myself and chiefs kingdom your theories on us US sitting on our hands here in free agency and not going out and make another splash. What do you think going? What do you think we're doing going forward especially with twenty million dollars dollars in caps? They still on table. I know that you. The team aspect is everything absolutely but in the greatest of all time. And talking about quarterbacks you looking at their performances and and as we just witnessed in this game this weekend Aaron Rodgers made a throw that I can't recall ever seeing Tom Brady make and I was even like I take Eric. Aaron Rodgers is top five throws versus. Tom Brady's top-five have through his in their careers and again without actually like a critiquing each and every throw I'm willing to bet catherine Rogers has three of the banner throws over Brady. I bet he has all do be honest with you minus one I bet four of them are the top five and now agree with you on that and and performances I mean you look at the game stats status. I would say that Iran is probably has top three top four of better performances than Brady on the flip side. Brady wins in pressure games. Yes okay so Brady Winston pressure games. and and Rogers Winds Miraculous Games can definitely nil the the hell Mary. But what's I guess this is. My thing is to win a super bowl. You have to be a team and you have to play a team. I mean I look air at Aaron Rogers is he feels like that offense lies solely on his shoulders. I don't feel like he respects. Play calling I could be wrong there. And don't even look. Aaron Rodgers knows the game. That's there's no question there. There's no question that Aaron Rodgers knows the game of football but at some point in your career. You still have to be coach. -able and I don't feel like an Roger that type of player he's not necessarily looking for stats he's not a stats type of guy. But he's definitely the guy the leader and that's all he wants. I think that he has never had a coach in the NFL that he respects. And I could see why with Mike McCarthy honestly and I don't and that's not a knock to the accomplishments that McCarthy is made but look McCarthy's not that in-your-face ace coach. He's more of a passive guy and I personally think that you know a player like Aaron Rodgers needs a like minded minded. You know he needs a mind that his like his on the sidelines so they can co exist and you know they can be those mad scientists and. I think you're right if you put. If you put a Aaron Rodgers with Andy Reid think about that type of career. I was actually just gonNA bring that up. Imagine if Andy Reid had drafted in Aaron Rodgers to the Philadelphia phillies and imagine that time in the eagles the Eagles Eagles. I'm sorry Eh. We're playing football here buddy into roles day it's been a long day. Sorry chief King of I don't know where my mind is going. Ah No biggie continue brother wow so aaron rodgers goes to Philadelphia and imagine what those two could have done the machination of the offense of imagination. That Andy Reid has and the ability of Aaron Rodgers to put that into motion and make it happen on the field and swimming now that would be the another dynamic duo that would mirror bill belichick and Brady. Unfortunately Rogers never had that pairing. Never had that coach that he was able to get put with to have that sort of success right and so ultimately that makes you know New England. Anglin have the goat that Tom Brady right there. I mean let's keep it real when it comes down to it. It comes down to super bowl victories. Look Dan Marino Dan Marino Marino is steadily falling down the list of greatest quarterbacks of all time because of that and because of all this new talent coming in and I think it's a no mistake. You know Andy Andy. Reid finally got his quarterback. Finally it is hard to tame the animal and Patrick Mahomes. We know this is hard. It's hard and just like you know. I Made A tweet on Patrick actionable homes posts on twitter. And I basically said you know way to bring out showtime until the right time and that's really what needs to happen But Chris I mean we're all we all have our differences and you know status wise personal player. You know possibly you know. Rogers is better than than Brady. I mean I really snow mistake that he is. It's just a different system a different system a different conference and an okay. So let's let's take that into consideration as well. Oh aside from the Patriots over this is eighteen year one thousand nine year run. Now you're talking about there to visit are win win has the AFC east had a actual competitive team in. You're right I mean. I cannot argue with that that team has had the easiest road to the Super Bowl. Paid for them the any team possibly could and I will say also on the flipside the the Green Bay packers as the AFC west. I mean they really have a hard road to the playoffs wherever they make it. I'll give it to them. And yes I mean demographically. The Green Bay has has a harder task but look at the result of that the results show and I.

"Inspire based upon our our schedule this year. The chiefs are facing two. Oh quarterbacks who get this term thrown around with him all the time and it's kind of ridiculous that you can have two two goats at the same time when anyways just going to jump ahead in your world who is the greatest of all time. PM Prima homes anti you. Fill as Aaron Rodgers or the quarterback that. We're GONNA see here in a few several weeks and Tom Brady. Well I will say. Here's the difference between the two and I want to make this very clear before I make my pick because Tom Brady got putting the most fortunate situation. The any young quarterback could nobody truly truly knew the brilliant mind of Bill Belichick and how he build system and his franchise and keeps moving in the direction that he has and those two pieces put together. I mean might be the most dynamic coach quarterback duo of all time and I really want to move forward say they are the most dynamic coach player duo of all time now. Aaron Rodgers hasn't exactly exactly had that you know leadership around him. Aaron Rodgers has ran that franchise. There's a difference. I don't I think the Aaron Rodgers is necessarily coach people. I still think that this is bill belichick system and Brady fits perfectly and that's somethin'. From this understood within the organization brings a whole different dynamic to to both franchises. So you look at Green Bay. you see Aaron Rodgers When you look at the dynasty is New England? It's always going to be bill bill check and Tom Brady not one or the other but both and so. Is that a testament to Aaron Rodgers. Style of play I don't know is is that. Is that a testament to a player and coach the have linked up so well then nobody can stop. OPTUM gotTA lean that way. I gotTA lean that way. There's been coaches cycling in with Aaron Rodgers. He hasn't exactly. We had a huge cast around him. He's had some players but me personally. I've got to go with Tom. Brady and and the bill belichick era. Because I mean let's be real. They can't be stopped. We watched Aaron Rodgers be stopped time and in time and time again. It's not bill bill check and Tom Brady so I will have to say Tom Brady right now. Goat Aaron Rodgers Third Fourth Patrick Mahomes climate way up that list real fast. So I'll have to go you know. That's an extensive. Answer I know but I really have to go with Tom. Brady and Bill Belichick. So I'm I'M GONNA go the other way I will say Aaron Rodgers. Absolutely hear what you're saying and you look at the number of rings and Tom Brady has absolutely. I mean..

"You don't have tyreek Hill so you don't have hartman making those catches The defense probably on the field a little bit more than they need to be digging downtrodden downtrodden. They don't get those sacks That they ended up getting I give the game ball combat more in this game and you know This is one of those times Chris that how could you not give it to Matt Moore. A man who hasn't been on the field in two years like you hit expressed earlier in the show who led our team to an impressive game. I will say this is gonNA sound redundant it probably the most impressive loss. Kansas City has had in years and it was really nice to see him. Get out there and show focus and be a leader and look. We did not know. We're going to get out of Matt Moore and that was probably the brightest spot. So far have an arcade Patty mahomes. uh-huh go out our MVP. And having this man Matt Moore show up and step in almost take us to victory against the seven and one Aaron Rodgers lead packers team team. So yeah I absolutely have to give the game ball Matt Moore as well and there are plenty of recipients in this game. There's plenty of of nominees. That could fill these shoes. You know how the game ball but Matt Moore hats off to you. Buddy really did an amazing job come out here next next week. You know if if duty calls and do the same thing you know you've gotta we kind of your belt. You've practiced with the team now for nine weeks. Make It yours yours like you did and continue to drive and be excellent like you were against the packers so Chris. What's your past to me this evening? So this time.

"Run after when we got that ball On that possession Damien Williams took over the running back duties and we didn't see shady again They didn't show him. I in the on the sideline state. The cameras kept him off the screen but deigning Williams got that ball and he started running angry and I loved loved watching how he ran. The ball and I was kind of wondering whereas this teeming blooms all year long. Yes exactly I remember run okay so I believe what you're talking about is the drive. Where Matt Moore threw the ball tyreek hill? Put It on the fifty yard line. And then wasn't that when Damien Williams took over and had like thirteen or fourteen yard run bulldozing through people and just showing resilience absolutely okay and so. That's the drive that we're speaking of. And you know it was. It was kind of the tyreek Hill Damian Williams I want to say hardman maybe got it on that drive for catcher something as well but that was that was a another turning point in the game where I was like okay. Kansas City's got this. Were not backing down. We were down fourteen to nothing. We took delete seventeen to fourteen. You know then we lose. WHO's the lead again and come back and tight? Twenty four twenty four. It seemed like the momentum I wouldn't say was in our favor but it was swinging back that way and then you know as quick as that. Momentum was shifting the Kansas city you know Aaron Rodgers Rogers takes the wind out of CANC- sales again with a sixty seven yard touchdown and I believe that was to running back Jones Sharon Jones and that right there that was that was the dagger unfortunately Salihi we. I will say this. We definitely had our shot to win this game or tied at least but at that point I believe were seven minutes left in the game or so when they scored that sixty seven yard touchdown walk walk so Kansas City gets the ball back. And we're driving. I believe we were on the forty three yard line. And we've already shown a few plays a promise you know. Matt Moore has not thrown an interception. All Day he's spread the ball around and as a matter of fact three different receivers with above ten yards per Reception average tyreek Hill. Twelve point seven yards towns Kelsey fifty point eight and McColl Hartman. Twenty seven point five so there were plenty of options to choose from four and looking out. Sammy Watkins who had five receptions. They had nine nine yards poor reception average but we had plenty of auctions. But we're on the forty three yard line somewhere in their fourth and three at this point in the game game I believe there is five and some change. But we're on the lower end of the change and Andy. Reid had a decision to make. Does he trust his offense more or does he trust his defense more. And this game and my mind. I don't feel like this is put on Andy Reid but obviously see. This is going to be a question Chris. Do you think Andy Reid made the wrong. Call to give the ball back to Aaron Rodgers or should we have gone for it on fourth and three re because we had touched base on the. We really think that this loss lies solely on Shady McCoy and I hate to put it on them but that was a huge fumble that we couldn't didn't overcome ultimately lost the game. But what do you think on big rigs call. I think it was absolutely the correct call. I know that the emotional response is. What are you thinking but the smart.

"Stop them. After having given even of seventy two yards and euphoria phil that's tremendous yes and it is and then after fifteen place to still have the wherewithal the energy to stop them and force a field goal. I mean Houston to the defense there in so look again go ahead and the chiefs get a kick return one offensive play and a defense has to get right back on the field. Yeah that's costing the APPs being Leon but you know what they still stepped up you know. Oh and the short drive against Aaron Rodgers. You know they had another sack in this driving. I'm not exactly sure who it was. Might have been Agua this time. There was the odd stack which gave the chiefs five sacks on on the day to that point but then it forced Aaron Rodgers into. I believe it was a third and goal. Wasn't it okay. So thirty three excuse me as a third and three and that is when Aaron Rodgers pull pull the rabbit out of his hat and once again show the world who Aaron Rodgers is an he scrambling around for his life. We got pressure autumn again. This looked all the way around like it was going to be another sack for Kansas City. And we wrap his legs up and he's going to the ground and he puts up a dime to the corner the end zone. That really could have gone to one of two players and drops it and the tiniest hold that you could ever find and ultimately ultimately You know puts Green Bay up twenty four to seventeen I there. There's nothing that you can really say about that play. I mean as much heyday because it put the Green Bay packers up ahead as a football fan. It was a thing of beauty legitimately had to sit back and say wow and I believe you know in the first half he had play like that in his own territory. You Know Not that immaculate and beautiful but he you know he was shown signs of brilliance. Just like that in the first half and it's Aaron Rodgers on. I don't think anybody puts it past Aaron Rodgers you know to to put on a show and NFL stadium and Arrowhead Stadium was not any different world. Let me rephrase that Arrowhead Stadium is very different and the best in the world old but Aaron Rodgers can still play football and that's what it is so Green Bay's up twenty four to seventeen then Matt Moore show awesome resilience are running game. Show some resilience and we find our way into the end zone on Damien Williams run. I believe it was a you know. Five seven yard run tied the game at twenty four three.

"The game. Oh yeah absolutely I think he had at least one punt return that was I think it was like thirty. Thirty five yarder. That really set the tone and really brought the the The word I'm looking for gotten moving in our direction To turn the momentum For us and I think that I think those either at the end of the first quarter or the the beginning of the second quarter that that happened but Definitely set the tone for US and led to the first touchdown and then second. Dr Hands Subpoena huge contributor there again with that thirty three yard touchdown reception for other from Admiral. And you know the chiefs defense really stepped up there in the second second quarter and added I would say two or three sacks so we put the ball back in in the packers hands stopped him got the ball back and then we drive downfield and we kick a field goal to lead halftime seventeen to fourteen and with that being gene said it was really nice for us to build this momentum and have a lead at halftime in a game that I mean certainly most in the NFL expected expected us to to lose to the lead at halftime. So I think that was a huge confidence. Booster booster for not only the chiefs and she's kingdom but especially Matt Moore well and another thing throughout their full. Two things are out there Got Second touchdown drive. It was five plays sixty two yards and we. We did it in two under two minutes in a minute and fifty seconds on a Matt Moore led offense and the drive before that was told both please eighty nine yards.

"NFL analyst Chris Chavez how we do on this evening Chris. I'm doing fantastic on excited. We got Halloween tomorrow. We got H. She's game this weekend. Doing good and chiefs kingdom look. Halloween is just around. The corner is tomorrow and like Chris said we have a big game coming up against the Minnesota Vikings. But we're going to touch base on. The Green Bay packers the game because the Kansas City chiefs did essentially lose that game. Thirty one to twenty four but there are a lot of great things to take away from that loss against Green Bay and first off. I'm going to start out by saying this was a six and one green bay packers team coming into Kansas City full throttle and we did a great rate job. A great job against Aaron Rodgers and slowing down a man who is capable of putting up forty five points a game and our defense look great so with that being said I also WanNa say Great Job Matt Moore. Matt Moore looked like the Alex Smith of old old. And it's really nice to see a game manager in there and spread the ball around the field like we are capable of and just like I said with Matt Moore going into this game. There's so many weapons around him. We have to get the ball out of Matt. Moore's hands so Chris we're going to jump right in here to the game mm-hmm and look we're going to move forward a little bit to where the chiefs were down fourteen to nothing because it looked like the packers were going to pull away with it. You know that. Second second past the touchdown pass from Aaron Rodgers. I can't remember who it was but he took it all the way down field for a touchdown. In fact I'm going to look looked up. This name as Aaron Jones and Jones took it all the way down field for a touchdown and put the packers up fourteen to nothing on what looked like was going to the be a blow out in Kansas City. So Chris kind of tell us what your thoughts are of Matt Moore and also well No. Let's let's not talk about Matt Moore. I want to. I want you to talk about what your feelings were when we were down fourteen to nothing and did you think that we come back from from that deficit. Well I'll take the first quarter after the first quarter river certain down fourteen nothing and ostensibly offensively definitely had seen some promise. We just had if I put it altogether yet Defensively I think that I I mean although we gave up a four play sixty yard drive. That only took two minutes. They're still definitely some things that I was seeing being there. That had me excited of know what these guys are still looking like the team that showed up against Denver right and if if we can put three altogether like this can still happen and you know even if he ended up at that point I was thinking thing like even if we end up losing this game. Twenty eight nothing whatever. I'm seeing pieces in in this game on defense and on offense that asked me excited moving forward. Yes and look the like you said the first quarter. We weren't shown very much you know. We showed a few sparks here and there on offense but the defense the defense. It really looked great. I know it doesn't sound great or look great on paper but Chris you're right. Our defense was showing signs signs of brilliance as well and and I think spags use the system that you and I had talked about going into this game. We had to get pressure on Aaron Rodgers and we did all game long. I mean we got five sacks on Aaron Rodgers and congratulations to your guy k past getting two sacks in this game. I thought I'd throw that out there for you Yeah thank you. I was excited about that. That's just one of those things that we've got some guys producing here in Kansas City off Baas another one. I'm really proud out of him. And we'll get onto those guys a little bit later but let's move into second quarter here real quick because I remember the play Latte what two seasons ago against Denver where tyreek hill got to show speed his overall speed for the first time and shocked the world. Do you remember that that play Chris. Absolutely okay so that play reminds me Soli of this next McColl Hartman touchdown that do do he was so fast to hit those holes and breakaway and score for a touchdown tyreek would probably be the only other got to squeeze through the Secondary McColl Hartman. Did you know on that. And running for a touchdown and that was really the turning point that set the tempo for the arrested the game. I mean will you agree with that absolutely And also it goes back to the the first touchdown down drive in that second quarter where we started to see Andy Reid get comfortable in his play calling. And as as the announcers were.
NBA Trade Deadline Roundup: All the action you need to know
"Now, it was a little bit quiet as well in the I would say the the two hour range before the NBA trade deadline. I was procrastinating finishing my column, of course, what else is new. And so I was looking at Twitter and refreshing and try to figure out whether or not any moves had been made. And it was eerie. It was really eerie at that point. But there was a flurry of activity right before the deadline. So in that final hour Nico mirror attached to the bucks. So they bolster their three point shooting Marcus, Saul who was very close to landing in Charlotte. Instead ends up with Toronto. If you missed my conversation with Greg Brady some morning show host on the fan five ninety. Well, we talked to him. Let me just let me just summarize my conversation with Craig Brady I asked him so with the change at head coach. And and of course, bringing in Kuwait Leonard in the off season Marta rose, and is gone now Yoenis Vallon Schuman's valid out Marcus all is in. How much has changed with the culture? This is very earnest question. Right. How much has changed with the culture of the raptors the season his response. Well, LeBron has gone. So a lot has changed. Okay. So maybe maybe the raptors are overcompensate, and maybe they're not. But I think if you look big picture Eastern Conference while we're talking about it. The fact that it's the Sixers who make the move for Tobias Harris. It's Mark assaulted the raptors at its Nico mirror attached to the bucks. These three moves are all for the here. And now they're for the present there about winning that conference. Now, I know the Celtics didn't make a move. Their lineup is got a lotta pieces that they're still trying to make sure they can get all on the same page, but no glaring weaknesses in the case of the Celtics. So you got those four teams, but the three that make the moves are about winning now. Whereas in the Western Conference monitor move here and there nothing super serious. Most of the teams as the dust settles on this trade deadline. Most of the teams. Are about positioning themselves for the future whether through shedding cap space, no shedding shedding cap commitments and making cap space. Aiming is what happens when you talk to fasten a Friday morning and get excited and also shedding, unwanted or bad contracts. So that's the idea for most of the teams in the NBA. And I mentioned this stat. I got it for Matt Moore NBA insider for the action network who joined us on our last show the possibility is there for forty percent of the NBA to be in free agency in a few months forty percent. And we're talking about massive names now. Kevin Durant could be part of that conversation, or he could not Klay Thompson could be part of that conversation or he could not. Jimmy, Butler, probably going to be part of that conversation. So there there's some ebbs and flows there as well. Where you don't exactly know, which guys will sign contracts to stay where they are in which guys will actually hit free agency. But generally, the big names wanna be wooed. They want wanna be booed. And so there's a lot of potential for the balance of power to shift in the off season at it. I think it's pretty obvious. When you look at the NBA in his trade deadline that most of the moves that were made were not about. Now, they're about down the road. A handful of these teams in the east because the east is I don't want to say, it's a wide open. But there are a few teams there that you feel like it wouldn't be a huge surprise if they ended up winning the conference and getting to the NBA finals. Everybody gets a trophy. It's after hours with Amy Lawrence on CBS sports radio. You know, what that actually makes me think of the whole winning and losing the trade deadline. So you in the east or all? Where for the most part the rest of you want wall. So coming up, we're going to talk a little more about the night in the NBA. Because even though the Lakers did not get Anthony Davis. And I think you look back now, and you realize the pelicans were screwing with them. They weren't actually interested in making a deal with the Lakers. They just wanted to see how much they could get it. As it turns out, even with the extra picks and five bodies, they weren't going to make that deal. They didn't want to make that deal. What they wanted to see is how much the Lakers were willing to offer. And now how can we spin that forward into a potential offer for the Lakers in the off season? But also, how can we use that to get packages from say the Celtics or if he was serious about the buck side of the clippers. So we're talking about really just using that desire that desire to bring an Anthony Davis against them. The pelicans will play Davis the rest of the way. So at least we have that question answered. But what about the Lakers the damage has been done? I get that the moves were made. But the fact that LeBron and Magic Johnson LeBron's agent were willing to literally slice and dice the locker room and ship half of his teammates out. That's not something that you get over quickly. It's not. And so the deadline may be passed. But the drama remains. Although a buzzer beater, sometimes it can help make
